بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful
[00:07.50]
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
Tra”O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,
[00:14.00]
وَٱسْمَعْ دُعَائِي إِذَا دَعَوْتُكَ
wasma` du`a’i idha da`awtuka
Tra”You listen to my supplication whenever I pray to you,
[00:20.00]
وَٱسْمَعْ نِدَائِي إِذَا نَادَيْتُكَ
wasma` nida’i idha nadaytuka
Tra”listen to my call whenever I call upon you,
[00:26.00]
وَأَقْبِلْ عَلَيَّ إِذَا نَاجَيْتُكَ
wa aqbil `alayya idha najaytuka
Tra”and accept from me whenever I make my submission to you in confidence,
[00:31.00]
فَقَدْ هَرَبْتُ إِلَيْكَ
faqad harabtu ilayka
Tra”I have escaped towards you and stood before you,
[00:34.00]
وَوَقَفْتُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ مُسْتَكِيناً لَكَ
wa waqaftu bayna yadayka mustakinan laka
Tra”standing before You, showing submission to You,
[00:40.00]
مُتَضَرِّعاً إِلَيْكَ
mutadarri`an ilayka
Tra”imploring You,
[00:43.00]
رَاجِياً لِمَا لَدَيْكَ ثَوَابِي
rajiyan lima ladayka thawabi
Tra”and hoping for the reward that You have for me.
[00:51.00]
وَتَعْلَمُ مَا فِي نَفْسِي
wa ta`lamu ma fi nafsi
Tra”You know what is in my inner self,
[00:54.00]
وَتَخْبُرُ حَاجَتِي
wa takhburu hajati
Tra”and you are aware of my needs,
[00:56.00]
وَتَعْرِفُ ضَمِيرِي
wa ta`rifu damiri
Tra”and You know what is in my conscience,
[00:59.00]
وَلاَ يَخْفَىٰ عَلَيْكَ أَمْرُ مُنْقَلَبِي وَمَثْوَايَ
wa la yakhfa `alayka amru munqalabi wa mathwaya
Tra”and all my moves and stillness are known by You.
[01:07.00]
وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُبْدِئَ بِهِ مِنْ مَنْطِقِي
wa ma uridu an ubdi’a bihi min mantiqi
Tra”So are all the utterances which I want to begin with,
[01:13.00]
وَأَتَفَوَّهَ بِهِ مِنْ طَلِبَتِي
wa atafawwaha bihi min talibati
Tra”all the requests that I want to express,
[01:17.00]
وَأَرْجُوهُ لِعَاقِبَتِي
wa arjuhu li`aqibati
Tra”and all the expectation that I hope for my future.
[01:21.00]
وَقَدْ جَرَتْ مَقَادِيرُكَ عَلَيَّ يَا سَيِّدِي
wa qad jarat maqadiruka `alayya ya sayyidi
Tra”O my Master, all Your decsions in relation to me have come to pass
[01:29.00]
فِيمَا يَكُونُ مِنِّي إِلَىٰ آخِرِ عُمْرِي
fima yakunu minni ila akhiri `umri
Tra”in all that happens to me up to the end of my life,
[01:36.90]
مِنْ سَرِيرَتِي وَعَلانِيَتِي
min sarirati wa `alaniyati
Tra”including my secret and open matters, shall be experienced by me.
[01:40.00]
وَبِيَدِكَ لاَ بِيَدِ غَيْرِكَ زِيَادَتِي وَنَقْصِي
wa biyadika la biyadi ghayrika ziyadati wa naqsi
Tra”And it is in Your hands, not anybody else’s, that are all my gains and losses
[01:49.90]
وَنَفْعِي وَضَرِّي
wa naf`i wa darri
Tra”and all the benefits and harms that come upon me.
[01:53.90]
إِلٰهِي إِنْ حَرَمْتَنِي فَمَنْ ذَا ٱلَّذِي يَرْزُقُنِي
ilahi in haramtani faman dha alladhi yarzuquni
Tra”My Lord, if You deprive me (of Your sustenance), then who else can ever provide me with sustenance?
[02:00.00]
وَإِنْ خَذَلْتَنِي فَمَنْ ذَا ٱلَّذِي يَنْصُرُنِي
wa in khadhaltani faman dha alladhi yansuruni
Tra”If You forsake me, then who else will help me?
[02:05.50]
إِلٰهِي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ غَضَبِكَ وَحُلُولِ سَخَطِكَ
ilahi a`udhu bika min ghadabika wa hululi sakhatika
Tra”My Lord, I do seek Your protection against Your wrath and earning your displeasure.
[02:12.00]
إِلٰهِي إِنْ كُنْتُ غَيْرَ مُسْتَأْهِلٍ لِرَحْمَتِكَ
ilahi in kuntu ghayra musta’hilin lirahmatika
Tra”O my Lord, if I am not deserving of Your mercy,
[02:20.00]
فَأَنْتَ أَهْلٌ أَنْ تَجُودَ عَلَيَّ بِفَضْلِ سَعَتِكَ
fa-anta ahlun an tajuda `alayya bifadli sa`atika
Tra”You are certainly fit to be generous to me by virtue of your magnanimity.
[02:26.00]
إِلٰهِي كَأَنِّي بِنَفْسِي وَاقِفَةٌ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ
ilahi ka-anni binafsi waqifatun bayna yadayka
Tra”My Lord, its like I see myself standing before You
[02:35.00]
وَقَدْ أَظَلَّهَا حُسْنُ تَوَكُّلِي عَلَيْكَ
wa qad azallaha husnu tawakkuli `alayka
Tra”It has been shaded by the goodness of my trust in you,
[02:41.00]
فَقُلْتَ مَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ وَتَغَمَّدْتَنِي بِعَفْوِكَ
faqulta ma anta ahluhu wa taghammadtani bi`afwika
Tra”You said what befitted You and sheltered me with your forgiveness.
[02:48.00]
إِلٰهِي إِنْ عَفَوْتَ فَمَنْ أَوْلَىٰ مِنْكَ بِذٰلِكَ
ilahi in `afawta faman awla minka bidhalika
Tra”My Lord, if you pardon me, then who else is worthier than You are in pardoning.
[02:55.00]
وَإِنْ كَانَ قَدْ دَنَا أَجَلِي وَلَمْ يُدْنِنِي مِنْكَ عَمَلِي
wa in kana qad dana ajali wa lam yudnini minka `amali
Tra”If my time of death is near and my deeds have not brought me close to You
[03:02.00]
فَقَدْ جَعَلْتُ ٱلإِقْرَارَ بِٱلذَّنْبِ إِلَيْكَ وَسِيلَتِي
faqad ja`altu al-iqrara bildhdhanbi ilayka wasilati
Tra”I make this confession of my sins to be a means of approaching You.
[03:10.00]
إِلٰهِي قَدْ جُرْتُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِي فِي ٱلنَّظَرِ لَهَا
ilahi qad jurtu `ala nafsi fi alnnazari laha
Tra”My Lord, I have been unjust to my soul for I have not looked after it;
[03:16.00]
فَلَهَا ٱلْوَيْلُ إِنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرْ لَهَا
falaha alwaylu in lam taghfir laha
Tra”It will be doomed if You do not forgive me.
[03:21.00]
إِلٰهِي لَمْ يَزَلْ بِرُّكَ عَلَيَّ أَيَّامَ حَيَاتِي
ilahi lam yazal birruka `alayya ayyama hayati
Tra”My Lord, You have never ceased Your favors from me all my lifetime;
[03:29.00]
فَلاَ تَقْطَعْ بِرَّكَ عَنِّي فِي مَمَاتِي
fala taqta` birraka `anni fi mamati
Tra”So do not cease Your goodness towards me at the time of my death.
[03:35.00]
إِلٰهِي كَيفَ آيَسُ مِنْ حُسْنِ نَظَرِكَ لِي بَعْدَ مَمَاتِي
ilahi kayfa ayasu min husni nazarika li ba`da mamati
Tra”My Lord, how can I despair of Your benevolent attention towards me after my death
[03:46.00]
وَأَنْتَ لَمْ تُوَلِّنِي إِلاَّ ٱلْجَمِيلَ فِي حَيَاتِي
wa anta lam tuwallini illa aljamila fi hayati
Tra”while You have always been good to me throughout my lifetime?
[03:53.00]
إِلٰهِي تَوَلَّ مِنْ أَمْرِي مَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ
ilahi tawalla min amri ma anta ahluhu
Tra”My Lord, (please) manage my affairs in the very way that befits You,
[04:00.00]
وَعُدْ عَلَيَّ بِفَضْلِكَ عَلَىٰ مُذْنِبٍ قَدْ غَمَرَهُ جَهْلُهُ
wa `ud `alayya bifadlika `ala mudhnibin qad ghamarahu jahluhu
Tra”and confer upon me—a sinful person who is covered by his ignorance—with Your favors.
[04:09.00]
إِلٰهِي قَدْ سَتَرْتَ عَلَيَّ ذُنُوباً فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا
ilahi qad satarta `alayya dhunuban fi alddunya
Tra”My Lord, You have concealed my sins in this world,
[04:16.00]
وَأَنَا أَحْوَجُ إِلَىٰ سَتْرِهَا عَلَيَّ مِنْكَ فِي ٱلأُخْرَىٰ
wa ana ahwaju ila satriha `alayya minka fi al-ukhra
Tra”but I am in greater need of their being concealed in the Next Life.
[04:23.00]
إِذْ لَمْ تُظْهِرْهَا لِأَحَدٍ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ ٱلصَّالِحِينَ
idh lam tuzhirha li-ahadin min `ibadika alssalihina
Tra”You have not revealed my sins even before any of Your righteous servants;
[04:31.00]
فَلاَ تَفْضَحْنِي يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَامَةِ عَلَىٰ رُؤُوسِ ٱلْأَشْهَادِ
fala tafdahni yawma alqiyamati `ala ru’usi al-ashhadi
Tra”therefore, (please) do not humuliate me on the Resurrection Day before all the witnesses.
[04:41.00]
إِلٰهِي جُودُكَ بَسَطَ أَمَلِي
ilahi juduka basata amali
Tra”My Lord, it is Your magnanimity that expanded my hope,
[04:45.00]
وَعَفْوُكَ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ عَمَلِي
wa `afwuka afdalu min `amali
Tra”and surely Your pardon is superior to my deeds.
[04:49.00]
إِلٰهِي فَسُرَّنِي بِلِقَائِكَ يَوْمَ تَقْضِي فِيهِ بَيْنَ عِبَادِكَ
ilahi fasurrani biliqa’ika yawma taqdi fihi bayna `ibadika
Tra”My Lord, therefore gladden my heart when I meet You on the day when You shall judge between Your servants.
[04:58.00]
إِلٰهِي ٱعْتِذَارِي إِلَيْكَ ٱعْتِذَارُ مَنْ لَمْ يَسْتَغْنِ عَنْ قَبُولِ عُذْرِهِ
ilahi i`tidhari ilayka i`tidharu man lam yastaghni `an qabuli `udhrihi
Tra”My Lord, I submit to You the apology of one who cannot dispense with the acceptance of his excuse;
[05:08.00]
فَٱقْبَلْ عُذْرِي يَا أَكْرَمَ مَنِ ٱعْتَذَرَ إِلَيْهِ ٱلْمُسِيئُونَ
faqbal `udhri ya akrama man i`tadhara ilayhi almusi’una
Tra”so, (please) accept my excuse, O most Magnanimous of all those before whom the guilty make an apology.
[05:18.00]
إِلٰهِي لاَ تَرُدَّ حَاجَتِي
ilahi la tarudda hajati
Tra”My Lord, (please) do not reject my request,
[05:22.00]
وَلاَ تُخَيِّبْ طَمَعِي
wa la tukhayyib tama`i
Tra”do not dissapoint my hope for You,
[05:25.00]
وَلاَ تَقْطَعْ مِنْكَ رَجَائِي وَأَمَلِي
wa la taqta` minka raja’i wa amali
Tra”and do not cut off from You my hope and expectations from You.
[05:30.00]
إِلٰهِي لَوْ أَرَدْتَ هَوَانِي لَمْ تَهْدِنِي
ilahi law aradta hawani lam tahdini
Tra”My Lord, had You wanted to humiliate me, You would not have guided me (to You).
[05:36.00]
وَلَوْ أَرَدْتَ فَضِيحَتِي لَمْ تُعَافِنِي
wa law aradta fadihati lam tu`afini
Tra”Had You decided to humiliate me,You would not have excused me.
[05:42.00]
إِلٰهِي مَا أَظُنُّكَ تَرُدُّنِي فِي حَاجَةٍ قَدْ أَفْنَيْتُ عُمْرِي فِي طَلَبِهَا مِنْكَ
ilahi ma azunnuka tarudduni fi hajatin qad afnaytu `umri fi talabiha minka
Tra”My Lord, I do not expect You to reject my request that I spent my whole lifetime asking for it from You.
[05:53.00]
إِلٰهِي فَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ أَبَداً أَبَداً دَائِماً سَرْمَداً
ilahi falaka alhamdu abadan abadan da’iman sarmadan
Tra”My Lord, all praise be to You, forever, forever, perpetually, everlastingly,
[06:00.00]
يَزِيدُ وَلاَ يَبِيدُ كَمَا تُحِبُّ وَتَرْضَىٰ
yazidu wa la yabidu kama tuhibbu wa tarda
Tra”increasingly, and imperishably, as exactly as You like and please.
[06:06.00]
إِلٰهِي إِنْ أَخَذْتَنِي بِجُرْمِي أَخَذْتُكَ بِعَفْوِكَ
ilahi in akhadhtani bijurmi akhadhtuka bi`afwika
Tra”My Lord, if You punish me for my offense, I shall cling to Your pardon,
[06:15.00]
وَإِنْ أَخَذْتَنِي بِذُنُوبِي أَخَذْتُكَ بِمَغْفِرَتِكَ
wa in akhadhtani bidhunubi akhadhtuka bimaghfiratika
Tra”if You cease me for my sins, I shall take hold of Your forgiveness,
[06:24.00]
وَإِنْ أَدْخَلْتَنِي ٱلنَّارَ أَعْلَمْتُ أَهْلَهَا أَنِّي أُحِبُّكَ
wa in adkhaltani alnnara a`lamtu ahlaha anni uhibbuka
Tra”and if You put me to the fire, I shall declare to its inmates that I love You.
[06:39.00]
إِلٰهِي إِنْ كَانَ صَغُرَ فِي جَنْبِ طَاعَتِكَ عَمَلِي
ilahi in kana saghura fi janbi ta`atika `amali
Tra”My Lord, should my deeds be insignificant with respect to obedience to You,
[06:47.00]
فَقَدْ كَبُرَ فِي جَنْبِ رَجَائِكَ أَمَلِي
faqad kabura fi janbi raja’ika amali
Tra”Great indeed is my hope with respect to my expectations from You.
[06:52.00]
إِلٰهِي كَيْفَ أَنْقَلِبُ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ بِٱلْخَيْبَةِ مَحْرُوماً
ilahi kayfa anqalibu min `indika bilkhaybati mahruman
Tra”My Lord, how can it be that I return from You with disappointment and deprivation
[07:02.00]
وَقَدْ كَانَ حُسْنُ ظَنِّي بِجُودِكَ أَنْ تَقْلِبَنِي بِٱلنَّجَاةِ مَرْحُوماً
wa qad kana husnu zanni bijudika an taqlibani bilnnajati marhuman
Tra”for indeed my beautiful opinion about Your generosity was that You shall reverse my fate by savng me mercifully.
[07:14.00]
إِلٰهِي وَقَدْ أَفْنَيْتُ عُمْرِي فِي شِرَّةِ ٱلسَّهْوِ عَنْكَ
ilahi wa qad afnaytu `umri fi shirrati alssahwi `anka
Tra”My Lord, I have spent my entire lifetime in being negligent to You
[07:22.00]
وَأَبْلَيْتُ شَبَابِي فِي سَكْرَةِ ٱلتَّبَاعُدِ مِنْكَ
wa ablaytu shababi fi sakrati alttaba`udi minka
Tra”and I have spent my whole youth with the stupor of being distant from You.
[07:29.00]
إِلٰهِي فَلَمْ أَسْتَيْقِظْ أَيَّامَ ٱغْتِرَارِي بِكَ
ilahi falam astayqiz ayyama ightirari bika
Tra”My Lord, I did not wake up from my delusions
[07:37.00]
وَرُكُونِي إِلَىٰ سَبِيلِ سَخَطِكَ
wa rukuni ila sabili sakhatika
Tra”and did not desist from pursuing the path of Your displeasure.
[07:42.00]
إِلٰهِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ وَٱبْنُ عَبْدِكَ قَائِمٌ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ
ilahi wa ana `abduka wabnu `abdika qa’imun bayna yadayka
Tra”My Lord, nevertheless, I am—Your servant and the son of Your servant,now standing before You
[07:53.00]
مُتَوَسِّلٌ بِكَرَمِكَ إِلَيْكَ
mutawassilun bikaramika ilayka
Tra”and begging You in the name of Your generosity.
[07:57.00]
إِلٰهِي أَنَا عَبْدٌ أَتَنَصَّلُ إِلَيْكَ مِمَّا كُنْتُ أُوَاجِهُكَ بِهِ
ilahi ana `abdun atanassalu ilayka mimma kuntu uwajihuka bihi
Tra”My Lord, I am a servant, disavowing before You
[08:07.00]
مِنْ قِلَّةِ ٱسْتِحْيَائِي مِنْ نَظَرِكَ
min qillati istihya’i min nazarika
Tra”of my past attitude of lack of shame in Your sight
[08:13.00]
وَأَطْلُبُ ٱلْعَفْوَ مِنْكَ إِذ ِٱلْعَفْوُ نَعْتٌ لِكَرَمِكَ
wa atlubu al`afwa minka idh al`afwu na`tun likaramika
Tra”seek Your pardon as it is the attribute of Your magnanimty to pardon;
[08:20.00]
إِلٰهِي لَمْ يَكُنْ لِي حَوْلٌ فَأَنْتَقِلَ بِهِ عَنْ مَعْصِيَتِكَ
ilahi lam yakun li hawlun fa-antaqila bihi `an ma`siyatika
Tra”My Lord, I had no strength to desist from Your disobedience
[08:29.80]
إِلاَّ فِي وَقْتٍ أَيْقَظْتَنِي لِمَحَبَّتِكَ
illa fi waqtin ayqaztani limahabbatika
Tra”except when You awakened me for Your love
[08:35.00]
وَكَمَا أَرَدْتَ أَنْ أَكُونَ كُنْتُ
wa kama aradta an akuna kuntu
Tra”Hence, I desired, that I become exactly as You want me to be.
[08:40.00]
فَشَكَرْتُكَ بِإِدْخَالِي فِي كَرَمِكَ
fashakartuka bi-idkhali fi karamika
Tra”I have thus thanked You, for You admitting me into Your generosity
[08:45.00]
وَلِتَطْهِيرِ قَلْبِي مِنْ أَوْسَاخِ ٱلْغَفْلَةِ عَنْكَ
wa litathiri qalbi min awsakhi alghaflati `anka
Tra”and You have purified my heart from the filth of being inattentive to You.
[08:51.00]
إِلٰهِي ٱنْظُرْ إِلَيَّ نَظَرَ مَنْ نَادَيْتَهُ فَأَجَابَكَ
ilahi unzur ilayya nazara man nadaytahu fa-ajabaka
Tra”My Lord, (please) look upon me in the same way as You have looked at one whom You called and he has responded to You
[09:00.00]
وَٱسْتَعْمَلْتَهُ بِمَعُونَتِكَ فَأَطَاعَكَ
wasta`maltahu bima`unatika fa-ata`aka
Tra”and whom You used him in Your service with Your aid and so he obeys You.
[09:07.00]
يَا قَرِيباً لاَ يَبْعُدُ عَنِ ٱلْمُغْتَرِّ بِهِ
ya qariban la yab`udu `an almughtarri bihi
Tra”O the Near one who is not far away from those who love Him ardently
[09:15.00]
وَيَا جَوَاداً لاَ يَبْخَلُ عَمَّنْ رَجَا ثَوَابَهُ
wa ya jawadan la yabkhalu `amman raja thawabahu
Tra”O He Who is too magnanimous to deprive one who hopes for His reward!
[09:23.00]
إِلٰهِي هَبْ لِي قَلْباً يُدْنِيهِ مِنْكَ شَوْقُهُ
ilahi hab li qalban yudnihi minka shawquhu
Tra”My Lord, (please) grant me a heart whose longing for You will draw one close to You,
[09:30.00]
وَلِسَاناً يُرْفَعُ إِلَيْكَ صِدْقُهُ
wa lisanan yurfa`u ilayka sidquhu
Tra”a tongue whose truthfulness ascends towards You,
[09:35.00]
وَنَظَراً يُقَرِّبُهُ مِنْكَ حَقُّهُ
wa nazaran yuqarribuhu minka haqquhu
Tra”and a sight whose trueness brings it close to You.
[09:41.00]
إِلٰهِي إِنَّ مَنْ تَعَرَّفَ بِكَ غَيْرُ مَجْهُولٍ
ilahi inna man ta`arrafa bika ghayru majhulin
Tra”My Lord, certainly he who recognizes You shall never be anonymous,
[09:50.00]
وَمَنْ لاَذَ بِكَ غَيْرُ مَخْذُولٍ
wa man ladha bika ghayru makhdhulin
Tra”he who seeks Your shelter shall never be disappointed,
[09:56.00]
وَمَنْ أَقْبَلْتَ عَلَيْهِ غَيْرُ مَمْلُولٍ
wa man aqbalta `alayhi ghayru mamlulin
Tra”and he to whom You turn to does not fall victim to servility(dejection).
[10:03.00]
إِلٰهِي إِنَّ مَنِ ٱنْتَهَجَ بِكَ لَمُسْتَنِيرٌ
ilahi inna man intahaja bika lamustanirun
Tra”My Lord, certainly he who abides by Your Path shall be enlightened,
[10:09.00]
وَإِنَّ مَنِ ٱعْتَصَمَ بِكَ لَمُسْتَجِيرٌ
wa inna man i`tasama bika lamustajirun
Tra”and he who resorts in You finds refuge.
[10:14.00]
وَقَدْ لُذْتُ بِكَ يَا إِلٰهِي فَلاَ تُخَيِّبْ ظَنِّي مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ
wa qad ludhtu bika ya ilahi fala tukhayyib zanni min rahmatika
Tra”Indeed certainly I have taken shelter in You, My Lord! So, (please) do not let down my opinion in Your mercy
[10:23.00]
وَلاَ تَحْجُبْنِي عَنْ رَأْفَتِكَ
wa la tahjubni `an ra’fatika
Tra”and do not exclude me from Your compassion.
[10:28.00]
إِلٰهِي أَقِمْنِي فِي أَهْلِ وِلايَتِكَ
ilahi aqimni fi ahli wilayatika
Tra”My Lord, place me, among those who show servitude to You,
[10:33.00]
مُقَامَ مَنْ رَجَا ٱلزِّيَادَةَ مِنْ مَحَبَّتِكَ
muqama man raja alzziyadata min mahabbatika
Tra”the position of those who (incessantly) hope to increase Your love.
[10:39.00]
إِلٰهِي وَأَلْهِمْنِي وَلَهاً بِذِكْرِكَ إِلَىٰ ذِكْرِكَ
ilahi wa alhimni walahan bidhikrika ila dhikrika
Tra”My Lord, (please) inspire me with a mounting passion for Your rememberance,
[10:46.00]
وَهِمَّتِي فِي رَوْحِ نَجَاحِ أَسْمَائِكَ وَمَحَلِّ قُدْسِكَ
wa himmati fi rawhi najahi asma’ika wa mahalli qudsika
Tra”and (please) with an ardour for the refreshing resort to Your names and the station of Your Holiness.
[10:54.00]
إِلٰهِي بِكَ عَلَيْكَ إِلاَّ أَلْحَقْتَنِي بِمَحَلِّ أَهْلِ طَاعَتِكَ
ilahi bika `alayka illa alhaqtani bimahalli ahli ta`atika
Tra”My Lord, I beseech You in Your name to put me in the abode of those who are obedient to You
[11:04.00]
وَٱلْمَثْوَىٰ ٱلصَّالِحِ مِنْ مَرْضَاتِكَ
walmathwa alssalihi min mardatika
Tra”and to the righteous sanctuary of Your good pleasure,
[11:09.00]
فَإِنِّي لاَ أَقْدِرُ لِنَفْسِي دَفْعاً
fa’inni la aqdiru linafsi daf`an
Tra”for I,certainly I have no power to repel any harm
[11:14.00]
وَلاَ أَمْلِكُ لَهَا نَفْعاً
wa la amliku laha naf`an
Tra”nor to obtain any benefit for it.
[11:19.00]
إِلٰهِي أَنَا عَبْدُكَ ٱلضَّعِيفُ ٱلْمُذْنِبُ
ilahi ana `abduka aldda`ifu almudhnibu
Tra”My Lord, I am Your weak and sinful servant—
[11:23.00]
وَمَمْلُوكُكَ ٱلْمُنِيبُ
wa mamlukuka almunibu
Tra”and Your repenting slave.
[11:26.00]
فَلاَ تَجْعَلْنِي مِمَّنْ صَرَفْتَ عَنْهُ وَجْهَكَ
fala taj`alni mimman sarafta `anhu wajhaka
Tra”So, (please) do not include me amongst those from whom You have turned away Your face
[11:33.00]
وَحَجَبَهُ سَهْوُهُ عَنْ عَفْوِكَ
wa hajabahu sahwuhu `an `afwika
Tra”and those who are excluded from Your pardon because of their lapses.
[11:38.00]
إِلٰهِي هَبْ لي كَمَالَ ٱلاِنْقِطَاعِ إِلَيْكَ
ilahi hab li kamala alinqita`i ilayka
Tra”My Lord, (please) grant me absolute devotion to You
[11:45.00]
وَأَنِرْ أَبْصَارَ قُلُوبِنَا بِضِيَاءِ نَظَرِهَا إِلَيْكَ
wa anir absara qulubina bidiya’i nazariha ilayka
Tra”and illumine the vision of our hearts by the light of their gaze looking towards You
[11:53.00]
حَتَّىٰ تَخْرِقَ أَبْصَارُ ٱلْقُلُوبِ حُجُبَ ٱلنُّورِ
hatta takhriqa absaru alqulubi hujuba alnnuri
Tra”until the vision of our hearts pierces the curtains of light
[12:00.00]
فَتَصِلَ إِلَىٰ مَعْدِنِ ٱلْعَظَمَةِ
fatasila ila ma`dini al`azamati
Tra”to reach the core of supremacy,
[12:04.00]
وَتَصِيرَ أَرْوَاحُنَا مُعَلَّقَةً بِعِزِّ قُدْسِكَ
wa tasira arwahuna mu`allaqatan bi`izzi qudsika
Tra”and that our souls become suspended by the majesty of Your Holiness.
[12:11.00]
إِلٰهِي وَٱجْعَلْنِي مِمَّنْ نَادَيْتَهُ فَأَجَابَكَ
ilahi waj`alni mimman nadaytahu fa-ajabaka
Tra”My Lord, (please) appoint me of those who responded to You when You called them,
[12:19.00]
وَلاحَظْتَهُ فَصَعِقَ لِجَلالِكَ
wa lahaztahu fasa`iqa lijalalika
Tra”and at whom You glanced so he swoons before Your Majesty
[12:25.00]
فَنَاجَيْتَهُ سِرّاً وَعَمِلَ لَكَ جَهْراً
fanajaytahu sirran wa `amila laka jahran
Tra”So You speak to him secretly and he works for You openly.
[12:33.00]
إِلٰهِي لَمْ أُسَلِّطْ عَلَىٰ حُسْنِ ظَنِّي قُنُوطَ ٱلأَيَاسِ
ilahi lam usallit `ala husni zanni qunuta al-ayasi
Tra”My Lord, do not let the dejection of despair overshadow my beautiful opinion
[12:42.00]
وَلاَ ٱنْقَطَعَ رَجَائِي مِنْ جَمِيلِ كَرَمِكَ
wa la inqata`a raja’i min jamili karamika
Tra”and do not cut my hope from Your generosity
[12:48.00]
إِلٰهِي إِنْ كَانَتِ ٱلْخَطَايَا قَدْ أَسْقَطَتْنِي لَدَيْكَ
ilahi in kanat alkhataya qad asqatatni ladayka
Tra”My Lord, if my lapses have made me to fall from Your grace,
[12:56.00]
فَٱصْفَحْ عَنِّي بِحُسْنِ تَوَكُّلِي عَلَيْكَ
fasfah `anni bihusni tawakkuli `alayka
Tra”So please pardon me for the beauty of my reliance upon You.’
[13:02.00]
إِلٰهِي إِنْ حَطَّتْنِيَ ٱلذُّنُوبُ مِنْ مَكَارِمِ لُطْفِكَ
ilahi in hattatni aldhdhunubu min makarimi lutfika
Tra”My Lord, if my wrongdoings have excluded me from the generosity of Your grace,
[13:10.00]
فَقَدْ نَبَّهَنِي ٱلْيَقِينُ إِلَىٰ كَرَمِ عَطْفِكَ
faqad nabbahani alyaqinu ila karami `atfika
Tra”So certainly my conviction reassures me of Your generosity and gentleness.
[13:17.00]
إِلٰهِي إِنْ أَنَامَتْنِيَ ٱلْغَفْلَةُ عَنِ ٱلإِسْتِعْدَادِ لِلِقَائِكَ
ilahi in anamatni alghaflatu `an alisti`dadi liliqa’ika
Tra”My Lord, if my neglect has lulled me into slumber preventing me from preparing myself for my meeting with You,
[13:26.00]
فَقَدْ نَبَّهَتْنِي ٱلْمَعْرِفَةُ بِكَرَمِ آلاَئِكَ
faqad nabbahatni alma`rifatu bikarami ala’ika
Tra”So certainly my recognition apprises me of your generous bounties has awakened me.
[13:34.00]
إِلٰهِي إِنْ دَعَانِي إِلَىٰ ٱلنَّارِ عَظِيمُ عِقَابِكَ
ilahi in da`ani ila alnnari `azimu `iqabika
Tra”My Lord, if Your grave chastisement calls me to the Hellfire,
[13:43.00]
فَقَدْ دَعَانِي إِلَىٰ ٱلْجَنَّةِ جَزِيلُ ثَوَابِكَ
faqad da`ani ila aljannati jazilu thawabika
Tra”So Your plentious reward has called me to Paradise.
[13:51.00]
إِلٰهِي فَلَكَ أَسْأَلُ وَإِلَيْكَ أَبْتَهِلُ وَأَرْغَبُ
ilahi falaka as’alu wa ilayka abtahilu wa arghabu
Tra”My Lord, so to You I beg and I implore and I request.
[13:58.00]
وَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
wa as’aluka an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
Tra”I beseech You to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
[14:05.00]
وَأَنْ تَجْعَلَنِي مِمَّنْ يُدِيمُ ذِكْرَكَ
wa an taj`alani mimman yudimu dhikraka
Tra”and to include me with those who always remember You,
[14:10.00]
وَلاَ يَنْقُضُ عَهْدَكَ
wa la yanqudu `ahdaka
Tra”and those who never break their promise to You,
[14:13.00]
وَلاَ يَغْفُلُ عَنْ شُكْرِكَ
wa la yaghfulu `an shukrika
Tra”and who do not neglect to thank You,
[14:16.00]
وَلاَ يَسْتَخِفُّ بِأَمْرِكَ
wa la yastakhiffu bi-amrika
Tra”and who never belittle Your commands.
[14:20.00]
إِلٰهِي وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِنُورِ عِزِّكَ ٱلأَبْهَجِ
ilahi wa alhiqni binuri `izzika al-abhaji
Tra”My Lord, (please do) submerge me in the most blissful lights of Your majesty,
[14:26.00]
فَأَكُونَ لَكَ عَارِفاً
fa-akuna laka `arifan
Tra”so that I will recognize You
[14:29.00]
وَعَنْ سِوَاكَ مُنْحَرِفاً
wa `an siwaka munharifan
Tra”and renounce all else except You,
[14:32.00]
وَمِنْكَ خَائِفاً مُرَاقِباً
wa minka kha’ifan muraqiban
Tra”and that I will be fearful of and careful with You.
[14:37.00]
يَا ذَا ٱلْجَلاَلِ وَٱلإِكْرَامِ
ya dha aljalali wal-ikrami
Tra”O Lord of Majesty and Honor!
[14:41.00]
وَصَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولِهِ وَآلِهِ ٱلطَّاهِرِينَ
wa salla allahu `ala muhammadin rasulihi wa alihi alttahirina
Tra”May Allah send blessings to Muhammad, His Messenger, and upon his Household the Infallible,
[14:49.00]
وَسَلَّمَ تَسْلِيماً كَثِيراً
wa sallama tasliman kathiran
Tra”and may countless greetings be to them.

[00:05.00]
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bis-millahir-rahmanir-rahim
In the Name of Allah, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate
[00:11.00]
اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ
allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
[00:18.00]
للّـهُمَّ إِنّي أَسْأَلُكَ الأَمَانَ يَوْمَ لا يَنْفَعُ مالٌ وَلابَنُونَ إِلاّ مَنْ أَتَىٰ اللهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَليمٍ،،
allaahumma innee as-alukal amaana yawma laa yanfa-u’ maalun wa laa banoonun illaa man atallaaha biqalbin saleem
O Allah, I ask You for protection on the day when property will not avail, nor sons except he who comes with a heart free (from evil) (26: 88)
[00:41.00]
وَأَسْاَلُكَ الأَمانَ يَوْمَ يَعَضُّ الظّالِمُ عَلىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يا لَيْتِني اتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ الرَّسُولِ سَبيلاً
wa as-alukal amaana yawma ya-a’z”z”uz’ z’aalimu a’laa yadayhi ya qoolu yaa laytanittakhad’tu ma-a’rrasooli sabeelaa
And I ask You for protection on the day when the unjust one will bite his hands saying: O would that I had taken a way with the messenger (25; 27)
[00:58.00]
وَأَسْاَلُكَ الأَمانَ يَوْمَ يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسيمـاهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّواصي وَالأَقْدامِ
wa as-alukal amaana yawma yu’-raful mujrimoona biseemaahum fayoo-khad’u bin nawaas’ee wal aqdaam
And I ask You for protection on the day when the guilty shall be recognised by their marks so they shall be seized by the forelocks and the feet (55; 41)
[01:17.00]
وَأَسْاَلُكَ الأَمانَ يَوْمَ لا يَجْزي والِدٌ عَنْ وَلَدِهِ وَلا مَوْلُودٌ هُوَ جازٍ عَنْ والِدِهِ شَيْئاً إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللهِ حَقٌّ
wa as-alukal amaana yawma laa yajzee waalidun a’n wlaadihee wa laa mawloodun huwa jaazin a’n inna wa’-dallaahi h’aqq
And I ask You for protection on the day when a father shall not give any satisfaction for his son nor shall the child give any satisfaction for his father, Surely the promise of Allah is true (31; 33)
[01:42.00]
وَأَسْاَلُكَ الأَمانَ يَوْمَ لا يَنْفَعُ الظّالِمينَ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَهُمُ اللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوءُ الدّارِ
wa as-alukal amaana yawma laa yanfa-u’z z’aalimeena ma’-d’iratuhum wa lahumul la’-natu wa lahum soo-ud daar
And I ask You for protection on the day when the unjust shall not benefit from their excuse and for them is curse and for them is the evil abode (40; 52)
[02:01.00]
وَأَسْاَلُكَ الأَمانَ يَوْمَ لا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِنَفْسٍ شَيْئاً وَالأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ للهِ
wa as-alukal amaana yawma laa yamliku nafsun linafsin shay-an wal amru yawma-id’in lillaah
And I ask You for protection on the day when no soul shall control anything for (another) soul and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah’s (82; 19)
[02:16.00]
وَأَسْاَلُكَ الأَمانَ يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ الْمَرْءُ مِنْ أَخيهِ وَأُمِّهِ وَأَبيهِ وَصاحِبَتِهِ وَبَنيهِ لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَأْنٌ يُغْنيهِ
wa as-alukal amaana yawma yafirrul mar-u min akheehi wa ummihee wa abeehee wa s’aah’ibatihee wa baneehee likulli amree-in minhum yawma-id’in shaanun yughneehi
And I ask You for protection on the day when a man shall flee from his brother, and his mother, his father, his spouse, and his children, each one of them on that day will have a concern which will occupy him (80;34)
[02:46.00]
وَأَسْاَلُكَ الأَمانَ يَوْمَ يَوَدُّ المُجْرِمُ لَوْ يَفْتَدي مِنْ عَذابِ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِبَنيهِ وَصاحِبَتِهِ وَأَخيهِ وَفَصيلَتِهِ الَّتي تُؤْويهِ وَمَنْ فِي الأَرْضِ جَميعاً ثُمَّ يُنْجيهِ
wa as-alukal a-maana yawma ya-waddul mujrimu law yaftadee min a’d’aabi yawma-id’im bibaneehee wa s’aahibatihee wa akheehee wa fas’eelatil latee tooweehi wa man fil arz”l jamee-a’n thumma yunajjeehi
And I ask You for protection on the day when the guilty will wish to redeem himself from the chastisement of that day by (sacrificing) his children, and the near of kin who gave him shelter and all those that are in the earth (wising) that this might deliver him …
[03:14.00]
كَلّا إِنَّها لَظىٰ نَزّاعَةً لِلشَّوىٰ
kallaa innahaa laz’aa nazzaa-a’tal lish-shawaa
… by no means! Surely it is a flaming fire, dragging by the head (70; 11; 16)
[03:24.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الْمَوْلىٰ وَأَنَا الْعَبْدُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْعَبْدَ إِلّا الْمَوْلىٰ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal mawlaa wa anal a’bdu wa hal yarh’amul a’bda illal mawlaa
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Master and I am the Slave, and who else can be merciful to the slave except the Master?
[03:37.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الْمالِكُ وَأَنَا الْمَمْلُوكُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمَمْلُوكَ إِلّا الْمالِكُ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal maaliku wa anal mamlooku wa hal yarh’amul mamlooka illal maalik
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Owner and I am the one owned by You, and who else can be merciful to the owned except the owner?
[03:54.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الْعَزيزُ وَأَنَا الذَّليلُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الذَّليلَ إِلّا الْعَزيزُ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antla a’zeezu wa anad’ d’aleelu wa hal yarh’amud’ d’aleela illal a’zeez
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Mighty and I am the low, and who else can be merciful to the low except the Mighty?
[04:10.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الْخالِقُ وَأَنَا الْمَخْلُوقُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ المَخْلُوقَ إِلّا الْخالِقُ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal khaaliqu wa anal makhlooqu wa anal makhlooqu wa hal yarh’amul makhlooqa illal khaaliq
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Creator and I am the creature, and who else can be merciful to the creature except the Creator?
[04:25.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الْعَظيمُ وَأَنَا الْحَقيرُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْحَقيرَ إِلّا الْعَظيمُ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaay antal a’zeemu wa anal h’aqeeru wa hal yarh’amul h’aqeera illal a’zeem
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Glorious and I am the miserable, and who else can be merciful to the miserable except the Glorious?
[04:44.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الْقَوِيُّ وَأَنَا الضَّعيفُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الضَّعيفَ إِلّا الْقَوِيُّ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaay antal qawiyyu wa anal za’eefu wa hal yarh’amul za’eefa illal qawiy
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Powerful and I am the weak, and who else can be merciful to the weak except the Powerful?
[05:04.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الْغَنِيُّ وَأَنَا الْفَقيرُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْفَقيرَ إِلّا الْغَنِيُّ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal ghaniyyu wa anal faqeeru wa hal yarh’amul faqeera illal ghaniyy
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Wealthy and I am the Poor, and who else can be merciful to the poor except the Wealthy?
[05:26.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الْمُعْطي وَأَنَا السّائِلُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ السّائِلَ إِلّا الْمُعْطي
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal mu’-t’ee wa anas saa-ilu wa hal yarh’amus saaila illal mu’-t’ee
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Bestower and I am the beggar, and who else can be merciful to the beggar except the Bestower?
[05:42.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الْحَيُّ وَأَنَا الْمَيِّتُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمَيِّتَ إِلّا الْحَيُّ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal h’ayyu wa anal mayyitu wa hal yarh’amul mayyita illal h’ayy
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Living and I am the dead, and who else can be merciful to the dead except the Living?
[05:57.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الْباقي وَأَنَا الْفاني وَ هَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْفانيَ إِلّا الْباقي
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal baaqee wa anal faanee wa hal yarh’amul faanee illal baaqee
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Eternal and I am the transient, and who else can be merciful to the transient except the Eternal?
[06:16.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الدّائِمُ وَأَنَا الزّائِلُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الزّائِلَ إِلّا الدّائِمُ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal daa-imu wa anaz zaa-ilu wa hal yarh’amuz zaaila illad daa-im
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Permanent and I am the short-lived, and who else can be merciful to the short-lived except the Permanent?
[06:30.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الرّازِقُ وَأَنَا الْمَرْزُوقُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمَرْزُوقَ إِلّا الرّازِقُ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antar raaziqu wa anal marzooqu wa anal marzooqu wa hal yarh’amul marzooqa illar raaziq
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Provider and I am the blessed, and who else can be merciful to the blessed except the Provider?
[06:49.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الْجَوادُ وَأَنَا الْبَخيلُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْبَخيلَ إِلّا الْجَوادُ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal ja waadu wa anal bakheelu bakheela illal jawaad
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Generous and I am the miser, and who else can be merciful to the miser except the Generous?
[07:04.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الْمُعافي وَأَنَا الْمُبْتَلىٰ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمُبْتَلىٰ إِلّا الْمُعافي
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal mua’afee wa anal mubtalaa wa hal yarh’amul mubtalaa illal mu-a’afee
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Healer and I am the afflicted, and who else can be merciful to the afflicted except the Healer?
[07:24.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الْكَبيرُ وَأَنَا الصَّغيرُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الصَّغيرَ إِلّا الْكَبيرُ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal kabeeru wa anas’ s’agheeru wa hal yarh’amus’ s’agheera illal kabeer
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Great and I am the insignificant, and who else can be merciful to the insignificant except the Great?
[07:40.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الْهادي وَأَنَا الضّالُّ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الضّالَّ إِلّا الْهادي
mawlayaa yaa mawlaaya antal hadee wa anaz” z”allu wa hal yarh’amuz” z”aalla illal haadee
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Leading and I am the straying, and who else can be merciful to the straying except the Leading?
[07:56.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الرَّحْمنُ وَأَنَا الْمَرْحُومُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمَرْحُومَ إِلّا الرَّحْمنُ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antar rah’maanu wa anal marh’oomu wa hal yarh’amul marh’ooma illar rah’maan
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Merciful and I am the one shown mercy, and who else can be merciful to the one shown mercy except the Merciful?
[08:14.00]
مَوْلايَ يامَوْلايَ أَنْتَ السُّلْطانُ وَأَنَا الْمُمْتَحَنُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمُمْتَحَنَ إِلّا السُّلْطانُ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antas sult’aanu wa anal mumtah’anu wa hal yarh’amul mumtah’ana illas sult’aan
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Authority and I am the tried, and who else can be merciful to the tried except the Authority?
[08:30.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الدَّليلُ وَأَنَا الْمُتَحَيِّرُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمُتَحَيِّرَ إِلّا الدَّليلُ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antad daleelu wa anal mutah’ayyiru wa hal mutah’ayyira ilad daleel
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Guide and I am the confused, and who else can be merciful to the confused except the Guide?
[08:47.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ وَأَنَا الْمُذْنِبُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمُذْنِبَ إِلّا الْغَفُورُ
mawlaaya antal ghafooru wa anal mud’nibu wa hal yrh’amul mud’nibu illal ghafoor
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Forgiver and I am the sinner, and who else can be merciful to the sinner except the Forgiver?
[09:03.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الْغالِبُ وَأَنَا الْمَغْلُوبُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمَغْلُوبَ إِلّا الْغالِبُ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal ghaalibu wa anal maghloobu wa hal yarh’amul maghlooba illal ghaalib
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Victor and I am the defeated, and who else can be merciful to the defeated except the Victor?
[09:21.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الرَّبُّ وَأَنَا الْمَرْبُوبُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْمَرْبُوبَ إِلّا الرَّبُّ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antar rabbu wa anal marboobu wa hal yarh’amul marbooba illar rabb
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Nourisher and I am the nourished, and who else can be merciful to the nourished except the Nourisher?
[09:39.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ أَنْتَ الْمُتَكَبِّرُ وَأَنَا الْخاشِعُ وَهَلْ يَرْحَمُ الْخاشِعَ إِلّا الْمُتَكَبِّرُ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal mutakabbiru wa anal khaashi-u’ wa hal yarh’amul kaashi-a’ illal mutakabbir
My Lord, O my Lord, You are the High-handed and I am the humble, and who else can be merciful to humble the except the High-handed?
[09:56.00]
مَوْلايَ يا مَوْلايَ اِرْحَمْني بِرَحْمَتِكَ
mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya arh’amnee birah’matika
My Lord, O my Lord, have mercy on me by Your mercy,
[10:08.00]
وَارْضَ عَنّي بِجُودِكَ وَكَرَمِكَ وَفَضْلِكَ
warz”a a’nnee bijoodika wa karamika wa faz”lika
and be pleased with me by Your Generosity and Your Magnanimity and Your Grace,
[10:15.00]
يا ذَا الْجُودِ وَالاِحْسانِ وَالطَّوْلِ وَالِإمْتِنانِ
yaa d’al joodi wal ih’saani wat’t’ooli wal imtinaani
O the Generous, and Beneficent, O the Almighty and the Benefactor,
[10:27.00]
بِرَحْمَتِكَ يا اَرْحَمَ الرّاحِمينَ
birah’matika yaa arh’amar raaha’imeen
By your Mercy, O the most Merciful of the Merciful.

[02:02.00]
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismi allahi alrrahmani alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent the All-merciful.
[02:09.00]
لَكَ ٱلْحَمْد ُيَا ذَاَ ٱلْجُودِ وَٱلْمَجْدِ وَٱلْعُلَىٰ
laka alhamdu ya dhaljudi walmajdi wal`ula
To You be all praise; O Lord of magnanimity, glory, and elevation!
[02:17.00]
تَبَارَكْتَ تُعْطِي مَنْ تَشَاءُ وَتَمْنَعُ
tabarakta tu`ti man tasha’u wa tamna`u
Blessed be You; You favor or ban whomever You wish.
[02:27.00]
إِلٰهِي وَخَلاَّقِي وَحِرْزِي وَمَوْئِلِي
ilahi wa khallaqi wa hirzi wa maw’ili
O my God, my Creator, my Shelter, and my Refuge!
[02:39.00]
إِلَيْكَ لَدَىٰ ٱلإِعْسَارِ وَٱلْيُسْرِ افْزَعُ
ilayka lada al-i`sari walyusri afza`u
To You do I resort in hardships and in joys.
[02:48.00]
إِلٰهِي لَئِنْ جَلَّتْ وَجَمَّتْ خَطِيئَتِي
ilahi la’in jallat wa jammat khati’ati
O my God, even if my sin is too grave and too big,
[03:01.00]
فَعَفْوُكَ عَنْ ذَنْبِي اجَلُّ وَاوْسَعُ
fa`afwuka `an dhanbi ajallu wa awsa`u
Your pardoning my sin is still greater and vaster.
[03:14.00]
إِلٰهِي لَئِنْ اعْطَيْتُ نَفْسِيَ سُؤْلَهَا
ilahi la’in a`taytu nafsiya su’laha
O my God, because I have allowed my soul to do whatever it liked,
[03:26.00]
فَهَا انَا فِي رَوْضِ ٱلنَّدَامَةِ ارْتَعُ
faha ana fi rawdi alnnadamati arta`u
here I am now turning over and over on the land of remorse.
[03:37.00]
إِلٰهِي تَرَىٰ حَالِي وَفَقْرِي وَفَاقَتِي
ilahi tara hali wa faqri wa faqati
O my God, You can see my manner, my neediness, and my poverty,
[03:53.00]
وَانْتَ مُنَاجَاتِي ٱلْخَفِيَّةَ تَسْمَعُ
wa anta munajati alkhafiyyata tasma`u
so can You hear my inaudible prayers to You.
[04:06.00]
إِلٰهِي فَلاَ تَقْطَعْ رَجَائِي وَلاَ تُزِغْ
ilahi fala taqta` raja’i wa la tuzigh
O my God, then (please) do not disappoint me and do not cause
[04:17.00]
فُؤَُادِي فَلِي فِي سَيْبِ جُودِكَ مَطْمَعُ
fu’adi fali fi saybi judika matma`u
my heart to turn away, for I long for Your vast magnanimity.
[04:27.00]
إِلٰهِي لَئِنْ خَيَّبْتَنِي اوْ طَرَدْتَنِي
ilahi la’in khayyabtani aw taradtani
O my God, if You disappoint me or throw me out,
[04:36.00]
فَمَنْ ذَاَ ٱلَّذِي ارْجُو وَمَنْ ذَا اشَفِّعُ
faman dhalladhi arju wa man dha ushaffi`u
then for whom will I hope and whose intercession will I seek before You?
[04:50.00]
إِلٰهِي اجِرْنِي مِنْ عَذَابِكَ إِنَّنِي
ilahi ajirni min `adhabika innani
O my God, please redeem me from Your torture,
[05:06.00]
اسِيرٌ ذَلِيلٌ خَائِفٌ لَكَ اخْضَعُ
asirun dhalilun kha’ifun laka akhda`u
for I am imprisoned, humble, and to You do I submit.
[05:22.00]
إِلٰهِي فَآنِسْنِي بِتَلْقِينِ حُجَّتِي
ilahi fa-anisni bitalqini hujjati
O my God, delight me by helping me submit my argument,
[05:36.00]
إِذَا كَانَ لِي فِي ٱلْقَبْر ِمَثْوَىً وَمَضْجَعُ
idha kana li fi alqabri mathwan wa madja`u
when I shall be lodged in my grave.
[05:49.00]
إِلٰهِي لَئِنْ عَذَّبْتَنِي الْفَ حجَّةٍ
ilahi la’in `adhdhabtani alfa hujjatin
O my God, if You chastise me for one thousand years,
[06:05.00]
فَحَبْلُ رَجَائِي مِنْكَ لاَ يَتَقَطَّعُ
fahablu raja’i minka la yataqatta`u
the rope of my hope for You shall nonetheless be cut off.
[06:17.00]
إِلٰهِي اذِقْنِي طَعْمَ عَفْوِكَ يَوْمَ لاَ
ilahi adhiqni ta`ma `afwika yawma la
O my God, please make me taste the flavor of Your pardon on that Day
[06:29.00]
بَنُونَ وَلاَ مَالٌ هُنَالِكَ يَنْفَعُ
banuna wa la malun hunalika yanfa`u
when neither one’s sons nor property shall promote.
[06:40.00]
إِلٰهِي لَئِنْ لَمْ تَرْعَنِي كُنْتُ ضَائِعاً
ilahi la’in lam tar`ani kuntu da’i`an
O my God, if You do not guard me, I shall certainly be lost,
[06:55.00]
وَإِنْ كُنْتَ تَرْعَانِي فَلَسْتُ اضَيَّعُ
wa in kunta tar`ani falastu udayya`u
but if You guard me, I shall never be lost.
[07:07.00]
إِلٰهِي إِذَا لَمْ تَعْفُ عَنْ غَيْرِ مُحْسِنٍ
ilahi idha lam ta`fu `an ghayri muhsinin
O my God, if You forgive none but the doer of good deeds,
[07:20.00]
فَمَنْ لِمُسِي ءٍ بِٱلْهَوَىٰ يَتَمَتَّعُ
faman limusi’in bilhawa yatamatta`u
then who shall care for the wrongdoers who plunge in their fancies?
[07:33.00]
إِلٰهِي لَئِنْ فَرَّطْتُ فِي طَلَبِ ٱلتُّقَىٰ
ilahi la’in farrattu fi talabi alttuqa
O my God, if I have been negligent in the seeking of piety,
[07:46.00]
فَهَا انَا إِثْرَ ٱلْعَفْوِ اقْفُو وَاتْبَعُ
faha ana ithra al`afwi aqfu wa atba`u
here I am now tracking the traces of Your pardon.
[07:59.00]
إِلٰهِي لَئِنْ اخْطَاتُ جَهْلاً فَطَالَمَا
ilahi la’in akhta’tu jahlan fatalama
O my God, if I have been wrong out of ignorance,
[08:11.00]
رَجَوْتُكَ حَتَّىٰ قِيلَ مَا هُوَ يَجْزَعُ
rajawtuka hatta qila ma huwa yajza`u
I have begged You so much that it was said that I would never feel tired.
[08:22.00]
إِلٰهِي ذُنُوبِي بَذَّتِ ٱلطَّوْدَ وَٱعْتَلَتْ
ilahi dhunubi badhdhati alttawda wa`talat
O my God, although my sins have been higher than mountains,
[08:40.00]
وَصَفْحُكَ عَنْ ذَنْبِي اجَلُّ وَارْفَعُ
wa safhuka `an dhanbi ajallu wa arfa`u
Your pardon is still higher and more elevated.
[08:53.00]
إِلٰهِي يُنَجِّي ذِكْرُ طَوْلِكَ لَوْعَتِي
ilahi yunajji dhikru tawlika law`ati
O my God, as I remember Your power, my agonies are abated,
[09:09.00]
وَذِكْرُ ٱلْخَطَايَا ٱلْعَيْنَ مِنِّي يُدَمِّعُ
wa dhikru alkhataya al`ayna minni yudammi`u
and as I remember my sins, my eyes shed tears.
[09:22.00]
إِلٰهِي اقِلْنِي عَثْرَتِي وَٱمْحُ حَوْبَتِي
ilahi aqilni `athrati wamhu hawbati
O my God, please overlook my slips and erase my wrongdoing,
[09:38.00]
فَإِنِّي مُقِرٌّ خَائِفٌ مُتَضَرِّعُ
fa’inni muqirrun kha’ifun mutadarri`u
for I confess of them fearfully and hopefully.
[09:56.00]
إِلٰهِي انِلْنِي مِنْكَ رَوْحاً وَرَاحَةً
ilahi anilni minka rawhan wa rahatan
O my God, grant me rest and relax from You,
[10:08.00]
فَلَسْتُ سِوَىٰ ابْوَابِ فَضْلِكَ اقْرَعُ
falastu siwa abwabi fadlika aqra`u
for I knock no door save the doors of Your favor.
[10:19.00]
إِلٰهِي لَئِنْ اقْصَيْتَنِي اوْ اهَنْتَنِي
ilahi la’in aqsaytani aw ahantani
O my God, if You expel me or insult me,
[10:33.00]
فَمَا حِيلَتِي يَا رَبِّ امْ كَيْفَ اصْنَعُ
fama hilati ya rabbu am kayfa asna`u
which method shall I then take and what shall I do?
[10:44.00]
إِلٰهِي حَلِيفُ ٱلْحُبِّ فِي ٱللَّيْلِ سَاهِرٌ
ilahi halifu alhubbi fi allayli sahirun
O my God, the true lover (of You) is staying up at night,
[10:57.00]
يُنَاجِي وَيَدْعُو وَٱلْمُغَفَّلُ يَهْجَعُ
yunaji wa yad`u walmughaffalu yahja`u
calling at You and praying to You, while the unmindful is asleep!
[11:11.00]
إِلٰهِي وَهٰذَا ٱلْخَلْقُ مَا بَيْنَ نَائِمٍ
ilahi wa hadha alkhalqu ma bayna na’imin
O my God, these beings are either sleeping
[11:25.00]
وَمُنْتَبِهٍ فِي لَيْلِهِ يَتَضَرَّعُ
wa muntabihin fi laylihi yatadarra`u
or vigilant at night, beseeching You.
[11:37.00]
وَكُلُّهُمُ يَرْجُو نَوَالَكَ رَاجِياً
wa kulluhumu yarju nawalaka rajiyan
Yet, all are hoping for Your rewards, wishing
[11:44.00]
لِرَحْمَتِكَ ٱلْعُظْمَىٰ وَفِي ٱلْخُلْدِ يَطْمَعُ
lirahmatika al`uzma wa fi alkhuldi yatma`u
for Your Grandest Mercy, and desiring for Eternity.
[11:55.00]
إِلٰهِي يُمَنِّينِي رَجَائِي سَلامَةً
ilahi yumannini raja’i salamatan
O my God, my hope for You makes me feel safe,
[12:14.00]
وَقُبْحُ خَطِيئَاتِي عَلَيَّ يُشَنِّعُ
wa qubhu khatu’ati `alayya yushanni`u
but the vice of my wrongdoings is reproaching me.
[12:27.00]
إِلٰهِي فَإِنْ تَعْفُو فَعَفْوُكَ مُنْقِذِي
ilahi fa’in ta`fu fa`afwuka munqidhi
O my God, if you pardon me, then You shall have saved me;
[12:48.00]
وَإِلاَّ فَبِٱلذَّنْبِ ٱلْمُدَمِّرِ اصْرَعُ
wa illa fabildhdhanbi almudammiri usra`u
otherwise, I will be the prey of my offensive sins.
[13:01.00]
إِلٰهِي بِحَقِّ ٱلْهَاشِمِيِّ مُحَمَّدٍ
ilahi bihaqqi alhashimiyyi muhammadin
O my God, (I beseech You) in the name of Muhammad, the Hashemite
[13:23.00]
وَحُرْمَةِ اطْهَارٍ هُمُ لَكَ خُضَّعُ
wa hurmati atharin humu laka khudda`u
and in the name of the sanctity of those Pure Ones who always submit to You.
[13:35.00]
إِلٰهِي بِحَقِّ ٱلْمُصْطَفَىٰ وَٱبْنِ عَمِّهِ
ilahi bihaqqi almustafa wabni `ammihi
O my God, (I beseech You) in the name of the Chosen Prophet, his cousin,
[13:54.00]
وَحُرْمَةِ ابْرَارٍ هُمُ لَكَ خُشَّعُ
wa hurmati abrarin humu laka khushsha`u
and the sanctity of the Pious Ones who are fearful of You.
[14:05.00]
إِلٰهِي فَانْشِرْنِي عَلَىٰ دِينِ احْمَدٍ
ilahi fa-anshirni `ala dini ahmadin
O my God, guide me to keep following the religion of Ahmad
[14:25.00]
مُنِيباً تَقِيّاً قَانِتاً لَكَ اخْضَعُ
muniban taqiyyan qanitan laka akhda`u
with full submission, piety, obedience, and surrender to You.
[14:44.00]
وَلاَ تَحْرِمَنِّي يَا إِلٰهِي وَسَيِّدِي
wa la tahrimanni ya ilahi wa sayyidi
Please, deprive me not, O my God and Master,
[14:59.00]
شَفَاعَتَهُ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ فَذَاكَ ٱلْمُشَفَّعُ
shafa`atahu alkubra fadhaka almushaffa`u
of his (i.e. Muhammad) great intercession, for he is the true interceder.
[15:13.00]
وَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ مَا دَعَاكَ مُوَحِّدٌ
wa salli `alayhim ma da`aka muwahhidun
Please, send blessings to them as long as one believing in Your Oneness prays to You
[15:32.00]
وَنَاجَاكَ اخْيَارٌ بِبَابِكَ رُكَّعُ
wa najaka akhyarun bibabika rukka`u
and as long as pious people, kneeling down at Your door, implore You.

[00:11.00]
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-mercifull
[00:17.00]
اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ
allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
[00:25.00]
إلـٰهِي أَلْبَسَتْنِي الْخَطايا ثَوْبَ مَذَلَّتِي،
ilaaheee al-basat-neel-khat’aayaa thaw-ba mad’al-latee
My God, offenses have clothed me in the garment of my lowliness,
[00:34.00]
وَجَلَّلَنِي التَّباعُدُ مِنْكَ لِباسَ مَسْكَنَتِي،
wa jal-lalaneet-tabaau’du minka libaasa mas-kanatee
separation from You has wrapped me in the clothing of my misery!
[00:41.00]
وَأَماتَ قَلْبِي عَظِيمُ جِنايَتِي،
wa amaata qal-bee a’z’eemu jinaayatee
My dreadful crimes have deadened my heart,
[00:49.00]
فَأَحْيِه بِتَوْبَةٍ مِنْكَ يا أَمَلِي وَبُغْيَتِي،
faah’-yihee bitaw-batim-minka yaaa amalee wa bugh-yatee
so bring it to life by a repentance from You! O my hope and my aim!
[00:57.00]
وَيا سُؤْلِي وَمُنْيَتِي،
wa yaa soo-lee wa munyatee
O my wish and my want!
[01:02.00]
فَوَعِزَّتِكَ ما أَجِدُ لِذُنُوبِي سِواكَ غافِراً،
fawai’z-zatik maaa ajidu lid’unoobee siwaaka ghafiraa
By Your might, I find no one but You to forgive my sins
[01:10.00]
وَلا أَرَىٰ لِكَسْرِي غَيْرَكَ جابِراً،
wa laaa araa likas-ree ghay-raka jaabiraa
and I see none but You to mend my brokenness!
[01:17.00]
وَقَدْ خَضَعْتُ بِالإِنابَةِ إلَيْكَ
wa qad khaz”aa’-tu bil-inaabati ilay-k
I have subjected myself to You in repeated turning,
[01:22.00]
وَعَنَوْتُ بِالاسْتِكانَةِ لَدَيْكَ،
wa a’naw-tu bilis-tikaanati laday-k
I have humbled myself to You in abasement.
[01:28.00]
فَإنْ طَرَدْتَنِي مِنْ بابِكَ فَبِمَنْ أَلُوذُ؟
fa in t’arat-tanee mim-baabika fabiman alood’
If You cast me out from Your door, in whom shall I take shelter?
[01:36.00]
وَإنْ رَدَدْتَنِي عَنْ جَنابِكَ فَبِمَنْ أَعُوذُ؟
wa ir-radat-tanee a’n janaabika fabiman au’wd’
If You repell me from Your side, in whom shall I seek refuge?
[01:43.00]
فَوَا أَسَفاهُ مِنْ خَجْلَتِي وَافْتِضَاحِي،
fawaaa asafaahoo min khaj-latee wa af-tiz”aah’ee
O my grief at my ignominy and disgrace!
[01:51.00]
وَوا لَهْفاهُ مِنْ سُوءِ عَمَلِي وَاجْتِراحِي.
wa waa lah-fahoo min sooo-i a’malee wa aj-tiraah’ee
O my sorrow at my evil works and what I have committed!
[01:58.00]
أَسْأَلُكَ يا غافِرَ الذَّنْبِ الْكَبِيرِ
as-aluka yaa ghaafirad’-d’ambil-kabeer
I ask You, O Forgiver of great sins,
[02:05.90]
وَيا جابِرَ الْعَظْمِ الْكَسِيرِ،
wa yaa jaabiral-a’z’-mil-kaseer
O Mender of broken bones,
[02:10.00]
أَنْ تَهَبَ لِي مُوبِقاتِ الْجَرائِرِ،
an tahaba lee moobiqaatil-jaraaa-ir
to overlook my ruinous misdeeds
[02:16.00]
وَتَسْتُرَ عَلَيَّ فاضِحاتِ السَّرائِرِ،
wa tas-tura a’lay-ya faaz”ih’aatis-saraaa-ir
and cover my disgraceful secret thoughts!
[02:21.00]
وَلا تُخْلِنِي فِي مَشْهَدِ الْقِيامَةِ مِنْ بَرْدِ عَفْوِكَ وَغَفْرِكَ،
wa laa tukh-linee fee mash-hadil-qeeaamati mim-bar-di a’f-wika wa ghaf-rik
At the witnessing place of the Resurrection, empty me not of the coolness of Your pardon and forgiveness,
[02:32.00]
وَلا تُعْرِنِي مِنْ جَمِيلِ صَفْحِكَ وَسَتْرِكَ.
wa laa tua’-rinee min jameeli s’af-h’ika wa sat-rik
and strip me not of Your beautiful forbearance and covering!
[02:38.00]
إِلـٰهِي ظَلِّلْ عَلَىٰ ذُنُوبِي غَمامَ رَحْمَتِكَ،
ilaahee z’al-lil a’laa d’unoobee ghamaama rah’-matika
My God, let the cloud of Your mercy cast its shadow upon my sins
[02:48.00]
وَأَرْسِلْ عَلىٰ عُيُوبِي سَحابَ رَأْفَتِكَ
wa ar-sil a’laa u’yoobee sah’aaba raa-fatik
and send the billow of Your clemency flowing over my faults!
[02:55.00]
إِلـٰهِي هَلْ يَرْجِعُ الْعَبْدُ الأَبِقُ إلاَّ إلَىٰ مَوْلاهُ
ilaahee hal yar-jiu’l-a’b-dul-aaabiqu il-laaa ilaa maw-laahoo
My God, does the fugitive servant return to anyone other than his Master?
[03:06.00]
أَمْ هَلْ يُجِيرُهُ مِنْ سَخَطِهِ أَحَدٌ سِواهُ؟
am hal yujeeruhoo min sakhat’iheee ah’dun siwaah
Or does anyone grant him sanctuary from his Master’s wrath other than his Master Himself?
[03:13.00]
إِلـٰهِي إنْ كانَ النَّدَمُ عَلَىٰ الذَّنْب تَوْبَةً،
ilaahee in kanan-nadamu a’laad’-d’ambi taw-batan
My God, if remorse for sins is a repentance,
[03:22.00]
فَإِنِّي وَعِزَّتِكَ مِنَ النَّادِمِينَ،
fa in-nee wa i’z-zatika minan-naadimeen
by Your might – am one of the remorseful!
[03:28.00]
وَإِنْ كَانَ الاسْتِغْفارُ مِنَ الْخَطيئَةِ حِطَّةً،
wa in kaanalis-tigh-faaru minal-khat’ee-ati h’it’-t’atan
If praying forgiveness for offenses is an alleviation,
[03:35.00]
فَإِنِّي لَكَ مِنَ الُمُسْتَغْفِرِينَ،
fa in-nee laka minal-mus-tagh-fireena
I am one of those who pray forgiveness!
[03:41.00]
لَكَ الْعُتْبىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَرْضَىٰ.
lakal-u’t-baa h’at-taa tar-z”aa
To You I return that You may be well pleased!
[03:47.00]
إِلـٰهِي بِقُدْرَتِكَ عَلَيَّ تُبْ عَلَيَّ،
ilaahee biqud-ratika a’lay-ya tub a’lay
My God, through Your power over me, turn toward me,
[03:53.00]
وَبِحِلْمِكَ عَنِّي اعْفُ عَنِّي،
wa bih’il-mika a’n-nee aa’-fu a’n-nee
through Your clemency toward me, pardon me,
[03:59.00]
وَبِعِلْمِكَ بِي ارْفَقْ بِي.
wa bii’l-mika bee ar-fuq bee
and through Your knowledge of me, be gentle toward me!
[04:03.00]
إِلـٰهِي أَنْتَ الَّذِي فَتَحْتَ لِعِبادِكَ بَابَاً إلَىٰ عَفْوِكَ سَمَّيْتَهُ التَّوْبَةَ،
ilaaheee antal-lad’ee fatah’-ta lii’baadika baaban ilaa a’f-wika sam-may-tahut-taw-bata:
My God, You are He who has opened a door to Your pardon and named it ‘repentance’,
[04:16.00]
فَقُلْتَ: ( تُوبُوا إلَىٰ اللَّهِ تَوْبَةً نَصُوحَاً )،
faqul-ta( tooboo ilaal-laahee taw-batan-nas’ooh’a)
for You said, Repent to God with unswerving repentance.
[04:23.00]
فَما عُذْرُ مَنْ أَغْفَلَ دُخُولَ الْبابِ بَعْدَ فَتْحِهِ.
famaa u’d’-ru man agh-fala dukhoolal-baabi baa’-da fat-h’ih
What is the excuse of him who remains heedless of entering the door after its opening?
[04:29.00]
إِلـٰهِي إنْ كانَ قَبُحَ الذَّنْبُ مِنْ عَبْدِكَ
ilaaheee in kaana qabuh’ad’-d’ambu min a’b-dika
My God, though the sins of Your servant are ugly,
[04:36.00]
فَلْيَحْسُنِ الْعَفْوُ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ.
fal-yah’-sunil-a’f-wu min i’ndik
Your pardon is beautiful.
[04:40.00]
إِلـٰهِي ما أَنَا بِأَوَّلِ مَنْ عَصاكَ، فَتُبْتَ عَلَيْهِ،
ilaahee maaa ana biw-wali man- a’s’aaka fatub-ta a’lay-h
My God, I am not the first to have disobeyed You, and You turned toward him,
[04:52.00]
وَتَعَرَّضَ بِمَعْرُوفِكَ، فَجُدْتَ عَلَيْهِ،
wa taa’r-raz”a limaa’-roofika fajud-ta a’lay-h
or to have sought to attain Your favour, and You were munificent toward him.
[04:59.00]
يا مُجِيبَ الْمُضْطَرِّ،
yaa mujeebal-muz”-t’ar
O Responder to the distressed!
[05:02.00]
يا كَاشِفَ الضُّرِّ،
yaa kaashifaz”-z”ur
O Remover of injury!
[05:06.00]
يا عَظِيمَ الْبِرِّ،
yaa a’z’eemal-bir
O Great in goodness!
[05:09.00]
يا عَليمَاً بِما فِي السِّرِّ،
yaa a’leemam-bimaa fis-sir
O Knower of everything secret!
[05:12.00]
يا جَمِيلَ السِّتْرِ
yaa jameelas-sit-r
O Beautiful through covering over!
[05:15.00]
اسْتَشْفَعْتُ بِجُودِكَ وَكَرَمِكَ إلَيْكَ،
is-tash-faa’-tu bijoodika wa karamika ilay-k
I seek Your munificence and Your generosity to intercede with You,
[05:22.00]
وَتَوَسَّلْتُ بِجَنابِكَ وَتَرَحُّمِكَ لَدَيْكَ،
wa tawas-sal-tu bijanabika wa tarah’-h’umika laday-ka
I seek Your side and Your showing mercy to mediate with You,
[05:28.00]
فَاسْتَجِبْ دُعائِي،
fas-tajib dua’aa-ee
so grant my supplication,
[05:32.00]
وَلا تُخَيِّبْ فِيكَ رَجَائِي
wa laa tukhay-yib feeka rajaaa-ee
disappoint not my hope in You,
[05:37.00]
وَتَقَبَّلْ تَوْبَتِي
wa taqab-bal taw-batee
accept my repentance,
[05:41.00]
وَكَفِّرْ خَطيئَتِي،
wa kaf-fir khat’ee-atee
and hide my offense,
[05:45.00]
بِمَنِّكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ
biman-nika wa rah’-matika
through Your kindness and mercy,
[05:50.00]
يا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.
yaaa ar-h’amar-raah’imeen
O Most Merciful of the merciful
[05:53.00]

[00:02.00]
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful
[00:16.00]
إِلٰهِي إِلَيْكَ أَشْكُو نَفْساً
ilahi ilayka ashku nafsan
My God, to You I complain of a soul
[00:22.00]
بِٱلسُّوءِ أَمَّارَةً
bissu’i ammaratan
commanding to evil,
[00:26.00]
وَإِلَىٰ ٱلْخَطِيئَةِ مُبَادِرَةً
wa ila alkhati’ati mubadiratan
rushing to offenses,
[00:32.00]
وَبِمَعَاصِيكَ مُولَعَةً
wa bima`asika mula`atan
eager to disobey You,
[00:38.00]
وَلِسَخَطِكَ مُتَعَرِّضَةً
wa lisakhatika muta`arridatan
and exposing itself to Your anger.
[00:45.00]
تَسْلُكَ بِي مَسَالِكَ ٱلْمَهَالِكِ
tasluka bi masalika almahaliki
It takes me on the roads of disasters,
[00:49.00]
وَتَجْعَلُنِي عِنْدَكَ أَهْوَنَ هَالِكٍ
wa taj`aluni `indaka ahwana halikin
it makes me the easiest of perishing ones before You;
[00:59.00]
كَثيرَةَ ٱلْعِلَلِ
kathirata al`ilali
many its pretexts,
[01:03.00]
طَويلَةَ ٱل أَمَلِ
tawilata al-amali
drawn out its expectations;
[01:08.00]
إِنْ مَسَّهَا ٱلشَّرُّ تَجْزَعْ
in massaha ashsharru tajza`u
when evil touches it, it is anxious,
[01:15.00]
وَإِنْ مَسَّهَا ٱلْخَيْرُ تَمْنَعْ
wa in massaha alkhayru tamna`u
when good touches it, grudging;
[01:22.00]
مَيَّالَةً إِلَىٰ ٱللَّعِبِ وَٱللَّهْوِ
mayyalatan ila alla`ibi wallahwi
inclining to sport and diversion,
[01:32.00]
مَمْلُوءَةً بِٱلْغَفْلَةِ وَٱلسَّهْوِ
mamlu’atan bilghaflati wassahwi
full of heedlessness and inattention,
[01:39.00]
تُسْرِعُ بِي إِلَىٰ ٱلْحَوْبَةِ
tusri`u bi ila alhawbati
it hurries me to misdeeds
[01:43.00]
وَتُسَوِّفُنِي بِٱلتَّوْبَةِ
wa tusawwifuni bittawbati
and makes me delay repentance.
[01:49.00]
إِلٰهِي أَشْكُو إِلَيْكَ
ilahi ashku ilayka
My God, I complain to You
[01:58.00]
عَدُوّاً يُضِلُّنِي
`aduwwan yudilluni
of an enemy who misguides me
[02:02.00]
وَشَيْطَاناً يُغْوينِي
wa shaytanan yughwini
and a devil who leads me astray.
[02:09.00]
قَدْ مَلأَ بِٱلْوَسْوَاسِ صَدْرِي
qad mala’a bilwaswasi sadri
He has filled my breast with tempting thoughts,
[02:14.00]
وَأَحَاطَتْ هَوَاجِسُهُ بِقَلْبِي
wa ahatat hawajisuhu biqalbi
and his suggestions have encompassed my heart.
[02:21.00]
يُعَاضِدُ لِيَ ٱلْهَوَىٰ
yu`adidu liya alhawa
He supports caprice against me,
[02:26.00]
وَيُزَيِّنُ لِي حُبَّ ٱلدُّنْيَا
wa yuzayyinu li hubba addunya
embellishes for me the love of this world,
[02:30.00]
وَيَحُولُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ ٱلطَّاعَةِ وَٱلزُّلْفَىٰ
wa yahulu bayni wa bayna atta`ati wazzulfa
and separates me from obedience and proximity!
[02:38.00]
إِلٰهِي إِلَيْكَ أَشْكُو
ilahi ilayka ashku
My God, to You I complain
[02:44.00]
قَلْباً قَاسِياً
qalban qasiyan
of a heart that is hard,
[02:46.00]
مَعَ ٱلْوَسْوَاسِ مُتَقَلِّباً
ma`a alwaswasi mutaqalliban
turned this way and that by tempting thoughts,
[02:52.00]
وَبِٱلرَّيْنِ وَٱلطَّبْعِ مُتَلَبِّساً
wa birrayni wattab`i mutalabbisan
clothed in rust and the seal,
[02:58.00]
وَعَيْناً عَنِ ٱلْبُكَاءِ مِنْ خَوْفِكَ جَامِدَةً
wa `aynan `an albuka’i min khawfika jamidatan
and of an eye too indifferent to weep in fear of You
[03:05.00]
وَإِلَىٰ مَا تَسُرُّهَا طَامِحَةً
wa ila ma tasurruha tamihatan
and eagerly seeking that which gladdens it!
[03:13.00]
إِلٰهِي لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِقُدْرَتِكَ
ilahi la hawla wa la quwwata illa biqudratika
My God, there is no force and no strength except in Your power,
[03:33.00]
وَلاَ نَجَاةَ لِي مِنْ مَكَارِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا إِلاَّ بِعِصْمَتِكَ
wa la najata li min makarihi addunya illa bi`ismatika
and no deliverance for me from the detested things of this world save through Your preservation.
[03:41.00]
فَأَسْأَلُكَ بِبَلاغَةِ حِكْمَتِكَ
fa as’aluka bibalaghati hikmatika
So I ask You by Your far-reaching wisdom
[03:46.00]
وَنَفَاذِ مَشِيَّتِكَ
wa nafadhi mashiyyatika
and Your penetrating will
[03:50.00]
أَنْ لاَ تَجْعَلْنِي لِغَيْرِ جُودِكَ مُتَعَرِّضاً
an la taj`alni lighayri judika muta`arridan
not to let me expose myself to other than Your munificence
[03:57.00]
وَلاَ تُصَيِّرْنِي لِلْفِتَنِ غَرَضاً
wa la tusayyirni lilfitani gharadan
and not to turn me into a target for trials!
[04:03.00]
وَكُنْ لِي عَلَىٰ ٱلأَعْدَاءِ نَاصِراً
wa kun li `ala al-a`da’i nasiran
Be for me a helper against enemies,
[04:10.00]
وَعَلَىٰ ٱلْمَخَازِي وَٱلْعُيُوبِ سَاتِراً
wa `ala almakhazi wal`uyubi satiran
a coverer of shameful things and faults,
[04:16.00]
وَمِنَ ٱلْبَلايَا وَاقِياً
wa min albalaya waqiyan
a protector against afflictions,
[04:21.00]
وَعَنِ ٱلْمَعَاصِي عَاصِماً
wa `an alma`asi ` asiman
a preserver against acts of disobedience!
[04:26.00]
بِرَأْفَتِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ
bira’fatika wa rahmatika
By Your clemency and mercy,
[04:33.00]
يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ
ya arhama arrahimina
O Most Merciful of the merciful!

[00:00.00]
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرّحِيمِ
bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful
[00:05.00]
اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ
allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
[00:15.00]
إِلٰهِي أَتَرَاكَ بَعْدَ ٱلْإِيـمَانِ بِكَ تُعَذِّبُنِي
ilahi ataraka ba`da al-imani bika tuaadhdhibuni
My God, will You chastise me after my faith in You,
[00:29.00]
أَمْ بَعْدَ حُبِّي إِيَّاكَ تُبَعِّدُنِي
am ba`da hubbi iyyaka tuba“iduni
drive me far away after my love for You,
[00:38.00]
أَمْ مَعَ رَجَائِي لِرَحْمَتِكَ وَصَفْحِكَ تَحْرِمُنِي
am ma`a raja’i lirahmatika wa safhika tahrimuni
deprive me while I hope for Your mercy and forgiveness,
[00:48.00]
أَمْ مَعَ ٱسْتِجَارَتِي بِعَفْوِكَ تُسْلِمُنِي
am ma`a istijarati bi`afwika tuslimuni
forsake me while I seek sanctuary in Your pardon?
[00:58.00]
حَاشَا لِوَجْهِكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ أَنْ تُخَيِّبَنِي
hasha liwajhika alkarimi an tukhayyibani
Far it be from Your generous face to disappoint me?
[01:07.00]
لَيْتَ شِعْرِي! أَلِلشَّقَاءِ وَلَدَتْنِي أُمِّي
layta shi`ri alishshaqa’i waladatni ummi
Would that I knew—Did my mother bear me for wretchedness?
[01:17.00]
أَمْ لِلْعَنَاءِ رَبَّتْنِي
am lil`ana’i rabbatni
Did she nurture me for suffering?
[01:24.00]
فَلَيْتَهَا لَمْ تَلِدْنِي وَلَمْ تُرَبِّنِي
falaytaha lam talidni wa lam turabbini
Would then that she had not borne me and had not nurtured me!
[01:35.00]
وَلَيْتَنِي عَلِمْتُ
wa laytani `alimtu
Would that I had knowledge—
[01:37.00]
أَمِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلسَّعادَةِ جَعَلْتَنِي
amin ahli assa`adati ja`altani
Have You appointed me one of the people of felicity?
[01:43.00]
وَبِقُرْبِكَ وَجِوَارِكَ خَصَصْتَنِي
wa biqurbika wa jiwarika khasastani
Have You singled me out for Your nearness and neighborhood?
[01:52.00]
فَتَقَرَّ بِذٰلِكَ عَيْنِي
fataqarra bidhalika `ayni
Then would my eyes be gladdened,
[01:57.00]
وَتَطْمَئِنَّ لَهُ نَفْسِي
wa tatma’inna lahu nafsi
and in that my soul reach serenity.
[02:03.00]
إِلٰهِي هَلْ تُسَوِّدُ وُجُوهاً خَرَّتْ سَاجِدَةً لِعَظَمَتِكَ
ilahi hal tusawwidu wujuhan kharrat sajidatan li`azamatika
My God, do You blacken faces which fall down in prostration before Your mightiness?
[02:19.00]
أَوْ تُخْرِسُ أَلْسِنَةً نَطَقَتْ بِٱلثَّنَاءِ عَلَىٰ مَجْدِكَ وَجَلاَلَتِكَ
aw tukhrisu alsinatan nataqat biththana’i `ala majdika wa jalalatika
Do You strike dumb tongues which speak in laudation of Your glory and majesty?
[02:31.00]
أَوْ تَطْبَعُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبٍ ٱنْطَوَتْ عَلَىٰ مَحَبَّتِكَ
aw tatba`u `ala qulubin intawat `ala mahabbatika
Do You seal hearts which harbor Your love?
[02:40.00]
أَوْ تُصِمُّ أَسْمَاعاً تَلَذَّذَتْ بِسَمَاعِ ذِكْرِكَ فِي إِرَادَتِكَ
aw tusimmu asma`an taladhdhadhat bisama`i dhikrika fi iradatika
Do You deafen ears which take pleasure in hearing Your remembrance according to Your will?
[02:53.00]
أَوْ تَغُلُّ أَكُفّاً رَفَعَتْهَا الآمَالُ إِلَيْكَ رَجَاءَ رَأْفَتِكَ
aw taghullu akuffan rafa`at-ha al-amalu ilayka raja’a ra’fatika
Do You manacle hands which expectations have raised to You in hope of Your clemency?
[03:05.00]
أَوْ تُعَاقِبُ أَبْدَاناً عَمِلَتْ بِطَاعَتِكَ حَتَّىٰ نَحِلَتْ فِي مُجَاهَدَتِكَ
aw tu`aqibu abdanan `amilat bita`atika hatta nahilat fi mujahadatika
Do You punish bodies which worked to obey You until they grew thin in struggling for You?
[03:16.00]
أَوْ تُعَذِّبُ أَرْجُلاً سَعَتْ فِي عِبَادَتِكَ
aw tu`dhdhibu arjulan sa`at fi `ibadatika
Do You chastise legs which ran to worship You?
[03:26.00]
إِلٰهِي لاَ تُغْلِقْ عَلَىٰ مُوَحِّدِيكَ أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ
ilahi la tughliq `ala muwahhidika abwaba rahmatika
My God, lock not toward those who profess Your Unity the doors of Your mercy,
[03:39.00]
وَلاَ تحْجُبْ مُشْتَاقِيكَ عَنِ ٱلنَّظَرِ إِلَىٰ جَمِيلِ رُؤْيَتِكَ
wa la tahjub mushtaqika `an annazari ila jamili ru’yatika
and veil not those who yearn for You from looking upon the vision of Your beauty!
[03:49.00]
إِلٰهِي نَفْسٌ أَعْزَزْتَهَا بِتَوحِيدِكَ
ilahi nafsun a`zaztaha bitawhidika
My God, a soul which You have exalted by its professing Your Unity—
[04:02.00]
كَيْفَ تُذِلُّهَا بِمَهَانَةِ هِجْرَانِكَ
kayfa tudhilluha bimahanati hijranika
how will You humiliate him by leaving him?
[04:10.00]
وَضَمِيرٌ ٱنْعَقَدَ عَلَىٰ مَوَدَّتِكَ
wa damirun in`aqada `ala mawaddatika
My God, a heart which has been knotted by its love for Your—
[04:18.00]
كَيْفَ تُحْرِقُهُ بِحَرَارَةِ نِيرَانِكَ
kayfa tuhriquhu bihararati niranika
how will You burn it in the heat of Your fires?
[04:25.00]
إِلٰهِي أَجِرْنِي مِنَ أَلِيمِ غَضَبِكَ
ilahi ajirni min alimi ghadabika
My God, give me sanctuary from Your painful wrath
[04:33.00]
وَعَظِيمِ سَخَطِكَ
wa `azimi sakhatika
and Your mighty anger!
[04:37.00]
يَا حَنَّانُ يَا مَنَّانُ
ya hannanu ya mannanu
O All-loving, O All-kind!
[04:44.00]
يَا رَحِيمُ يَا رَحْمٰنُ
ya rahimu ya rahmanu
O Compassionate, O Merciful!
[04:51.00]
يَا جَبَّارُ يَا قَهَّارُ
ya jabbaru ya qahharu
O Compeller, O Subduer!
[04:58.00]
يَا غَفَّارُ يَا سَتَّارُ
ya ghaffaru ya sattaru
O All-forgiver, O All-covering!
[05:06.00]
نَجِّنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ ٱلنَّارِ
najjini birahmatika min `adhabi annari
Deliver me through Your mercy from the chastisement of the Fire
[05:13.00]
وَفَضِيحَةِ ٱلْعَارِ
wa fadihati al`ari
and the disgrace of shame
[05:17.00]
إِذَا ٱمْتَازَ ٱلأَخْيَارُ مِنَ ٱلأَشْرَارِ
idha imtaza al-akhyaru min al-ashraru
when the good are set apart from the evil,
[05:24.00]
وَحَالَتِ ٱلأَحْوَالُ
wa halat al-ahwalu
forms are transformed,
[05:28.00]
وَهَالَتِ ٱلأَهْوَالُ
wa halat al-ahwalu
terrors terrify,
[05:32.00]
وَقَرُبَ ٱلْمُحْسِنُونَ
wa qaruba almuhsinuna
the good-doers are brought near,
[05:39.00]
وَبَعُدَ ٱلْمُسِيئُونَ
wa ba`uda almusi’una
the evildoers taken far,
[05:44.00]
(وَوُفِّيَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَا كَسَبَتْ
wa wuffiyat kullu nafsin ma kasabat
“and every soul paid what it has earned,
[05:49.00]
وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ)
wa huzm la yuzlamuna
and they shall not be wronged!”

[00:05.00]
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful
[00:21.00]
يَا مَنْ إِذا سَأَلَهُ عَبْدٌ أَعْطَاهُ
ya man idha sa’alahu `abdun a`tahu
O He who gives to a servant who asks from Him,
[00:30.00]
وَإِذَا أَمَّلَ مَا عِنْدَهُ بَلَّغَهُ مُنَاهُ
wa idha ammala ma `indahu ballaghahu munahu
takes him to his wish when he expectantly hopes for what is with Him,
[00:38.00]
وَإِذَا أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهِ قَرَّبَهُ وَأَدْنَاهُ
wa idha aqbala `alayhi qarrabahu wa adnahu
brings him near and close when he approaches Him,
[00:46.00]
وَإِذا جَاهَرَهُ بِٱلْعِصْيَانِ سَتَرَ عَلَىٰ ذَنْبِهِ وَغَطَّاهُ
wa idha jaharahu bil`isyani satara `ala dhanbihi wa ghattahu
covers over his sin and cloaks it when he shows it openly,
[00:58.00]
وَإِذا تَوَكَّلَ عَلَيْهِ أَحْسَبَهُ وَكَفَاهُ
wa idha tawakkala `alayhi ahsabahu wa kafahu
and satisfies and suffices him when he has confidence in Him!
[01:07.00]
إِلٰهِي مَنِ ٱلَّذِي نَزَلَ بِكَ مُلْتَمِساً قِرَاكَ فَمَا قَرَيْتَهُ
ilahi man alladhi nazala bika multamisan qiraka fama qaraytahu
My God, who is the one who has come before You seeking hospitality, and whom You have not received hospitably?
[01:20.00]
وَمَنِ ٱلَّذِي أَناخَ بِبَابِكَ مُرْتَجِياً نَدَاكَ فمَا أَوْلَيْتَهُ
wa man alladhi anakha bibabika murtajiyan nadaka fama awlaytahu
Who is the one who has dismounted at Your door hoping for magnanimity, and to whom You have not shown it?
[01:30.00]
أَيَحْسُنُ أَنْ أَرْجِعَ عَنْ بَابِكَ بِٱلْخَيْبَةِ مَصْرُوفاً
ayahsunu an arji`a `an babika bilkhaybati masrufan
Is it good that I come back from Your door, turned away in disappointment,
[01:40.00]
وَلَسْتُ أَعْرِفُ سِوَاكَ مَوْلًىٰ بِٱلإِحْسَانِ مَوْصُوفاً
wa lastu a`rifu siwaka mawlan bil-ihsani mawsufan
while I know of no patron qualified by beneficence but You?
[01:49.00]
كَيفَ أَرْجُو غَيْرَكَ وَٱلْخَيْرُ كُلُّهُ بِيَدِكَ
kayfa arju ghayraka walkhayru kulluhu biyadika
How should I have hope in other than You, when the good—all of it—is in Your hand?
[02:00.00]
وَكَيْفَ أُؤَمِّلُ سِوَاكَ وَٱلْخَلْقُ وَٱلأَمْرُ لَكَ
wa kayfa u’ammilu siwaka walkhalqu wal-amru laka
How should I expect from others, when Yours are the creation and the command?
[02:09.00]
أَأَقْطَعُ رَجَائِي مِنْكَ
a’aqta`u raja’i minka
Should I cut off my hope for You,
[02:14.00]
وَقَدْ أَوْلَيْتَنِي مَا لَمْ أَسْأَلْهُ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
wa qad awlaytani ma lam as’alhu min fadlika
when You have shown me of Your bounty that for which I have not asked?
[02:21.00]
أَمْ تُفْقِرُنِي إِلَىٰ مِثْلِي
am tufqiruny ila mithli
Would You make me have need for my like?
[02:28.00]
وَأَنَا أَعْتَصِمُ بِحَبْلِكَ
wa ana a`tasimu bihablika
But I hold fast to Your cord!
[02:33.00]
يَا مَنْ سَعِدَ بِرَحْمَتِهِ ٱلْقَاصِدُونَ
ya man sa`ida birahmatihi alqasiduna
O He through whose mercy the strivers reach felicity
[02:40.00]
وَلَمْ يَشْقَ بِنَقِمَتِهِ ٱلْمُسْتَغْفِرُونَ
wa lam yashqa binaqimatihi almustaghfiruna
and through whose vengeance the seekers of forgiveness are not made wretched!
[02:46.00]
كَيْفَ أَنْسَاكَ وَلَمْ تَزَلْ ذَاكِرِي
kayfa ansaka wa lam tazal dhakiri
How should I forget You, while You never cease remembering me?
[02:54.00]
وَكَيْفَ أَلْهُو عَنْكَ وَأَنْتَ مُرَاقِبِي
wa kayfa alhu `anka wa anta muraqibi
How should I be diverted from You while You are my constant watcher?
[03:01.00]
إِلٰهِي بِذَيْلِ كَرَمِكَ أَعْلَقْتُ يَدِي
ilahi bidhayli karamika a`laqtu yadi
My God, I have fastened my hand to the skirt of Your generosity,
[03:13.00]
وَلِنَيْلِ عَطَايَاكَ بَسَطْتُ أَمَلِي
wa linayli `atayaka basattu amali
I have stretched forth my expectation toward reaching Your gifts,
[03:20.00]
فَأَخْلِصْنِي بِخَالِصَةِ تَوْحِيدِكَ
fa akhlisni bikhalisati tawhidika
So, render me pure through the purest profession of Your Unity,
[03:27.00]
وَٱجْعَلْنِي مِنْ صَفْوَةِ عَبِيدِكَ
waj`alni min safwati `abidika
and appoint me one of Your choice servants!
[03:33.00]
يَا مَنْ كُلُّ هَارِبٍ إِلَيْهِ يَلْتَجِئُ
ya man kullu haribin ilayhi yaltaji’u
O He who is the asylum of every fleer,
[03:40.00]
وَكُلُّ طَالِبٍ إِيَّاهُ يَرْتجِي
wa kullu talibin iyyahu yartji
the hope of every seeker!
[03:46.00]
يَا خَيْرَ مَرْجُوٍّ
ya khayra marjuwwin
O Best Object of hope!
[03:49.00]
وَيَا أَكْرَمَ مَدْعُوٍّ
wa ya akrama mad`uwwin
O Most Generous Object of supplication!
[03:52.00]
وَيَا مَنْ لاَ يُرَدُّ سَائِلُهُ
wa ya man la yuraddu sa’iluhu
O He who asker is never rejected
[03:57.00]
وَلاَ يُخَيَّبُ آمِلُهُ
wa la yukhayyabu amiluhu
And whose expectant is never disappointed!
[04:01.00]
يَا مَنْ بَابُهُ مَفْتُوحٌ لِدَاعِيهِ
ya man babuhu maftuhun lida`ihi
O He whose door is open to His suppliants
[04:08.00]
وَحِجَابُهُ مَرْفُوعٌ لِرَاجِيهِ
wa hijabuhu marfu`un lirajihi
and whose veil is lifted for those who hope in Him!
[04:14.00]
أَسْأَلُكَ بِكَرَمِكَ أَنْ تَمُنَّ عَلَيَّ
as’aluka bikaramika an tamunna `alayya
I ask You by Your generosity to show kindness toward me
[04:22.00]
مِنْ عَطَائِكَ بِما تَقَرُّ بِهِ عَيْنِي
min `ata’ika bima taqarru bihi `ayni
through Your gifts, with that which will gladden my eye,
[04:27.00]
وَمِنْ رَجَائِكَ بِما تَطْمَئِنُّ بِهِ نَفْسِي
wa min raja’ika bima tatma’innu bihi nafsi
through hope in You, with that which will give serenity to my soul,
[04:34.00]
وَمِنَ ٱلْيَقِينِ بِما تُهَوِّنُ بِهِ عَلَيَّ مُصِيبَاتِ ٱلدُّنْيَا
wa min alyaqini bima tuhawwinu bihi `alayya musibati addunya
and through certainty with that which will make easy for me the afflictions of this world
[04:44.00]
وَتَجْلُو بِهِ عَن بَصِيرَتِي غَشَوَاتِ ٱلْعَمَىٰ
wa tajlu bihi `an basirati ghashawati al`ama
and lift from my insight the veils of blindness!
[04:51.00]
بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ
birahmatika ya arhama arrahimina
By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful!

[00:07.00]
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful
[00:13.00]
اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ
allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
[00:22.00]
إِلٰهِي إِنْ كَانَ قَلَّ زَادِي فِي ٱلْمَسِيرِ إِلَيْكَ
ilahi in kana qalla zadi filmasiri ilayka
My God, though my stores for traveling to You are few,
[00:37.00]
فَلَقَدْ حَسُنَ ظَنِّي بِٱلتَّوَكُّلِ عَلَيْكَ
falaqad hasuna zanni bittawakkuli `alayka
my confidence in You has given me a good opinion.
[00:46.00]
وَإِنْ كَانَ جُرْمِي قَدْ أَخَافَنِي مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ
wa in kana jurmi qad akhafani min `uqubatika
Though my sin has made me fear Your punishment,
[00:57.00]
فَإِنَّ رَجَائِي قَدْ أَشْعَرَنِي بِٱلأَمْنِ مِنْ نَقِمَتِكَ
fa inna raja’i qad ash`arani bil-amni min naqimatika
my hope has let me feel secure from Your vengeance.
[01:09.00]
وَإِنْ كَانَ ذَنْبِي قَدْ عَرَّضَنِي لِعِقَابِكَ
wa in kana dhanbi qad `arradani li`iqabika
Though my misdeed has exposed me to Your penalty,
[01:22.00]
فَقَدْ آذَنَنِي حُسْنُ ثِقَتِي بِثَوَابِكَ
faqad adhanani husnu thiqati bithawabika
my excellent trust has apprised me of Your reward.
[01:32.00]
وَإِنْ أَنامَتْنِي ٱلْغَفْلَةُ عَنِ ٱلاِسْتِعْدَادِ لِلِقَائِكَ
wa in anamatni alghaflatu `an alisti`dadi liliqa’ika
Though heedlessness has put to sleep my readiness to meet You,
[01:43.00]
فَقَدْ نَبَّهَتْنِي ٱلْمَعْرِفَةُ بِكَرَمِكَ وَآلاَئِكَ
faqad nabbahatni alma`rifatu bikaramika wa ala’ika
knowledge has awakened me to Your generosity and boons.
[01:54.00]
وَإِنْ أَوْحَشَ مَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ فَرْطُ ٱلْعِصْيَانِ وَٱلطُّغْيَانِ
wa in awhasha ma bayni wa baynaka fartu al`isyani wattughyani
Though excessive disobedience and rebellion have estranged me from You,
[02:06.00]
فَقَدْ آنَسَنِي بُشْرَىٰ ٱلْغُفْرَانِ وَٱلرِّضْوَانِ
faqad anasani bushra alghufrani warridwani
the glad tidings of forgiveness and good pleasure have made me feel intimate with You.
[02:16.00]
أَسْأَلُكَ بِسُبُحَاتِ وَجْهِكَ وَبِأَنْوارِ قُدْسِكَ
as’aluka bisubuhati wajhika wa bi-anwari qudsika
I ask You by the splendors of Your face and the lights of Your holiness,
[02:27.00]
وَأَبْتَهِلُ إِلَيْكَ بِعَوَاطِفِ رَحْمَتِكَ
wa abtahilu ilayka bi`awatifi rahmatika
and I implore You by the tenderness of Your mercy
[02:33.00]
وَلَطَائِفِ بِرِّكَ
wa lata’ifi birrika
and the gentleness of Your goodness,
[02:38.00]
أَنْ تُحَقِّقَ ظَنِّي بِمَا أُؤَمِّلُهُ مِنْ جَزِيلِ إِكْرَامِكَ
an tuhaqqiqa zanni bima u’ammiluhu min jazili ikramika
to verify my opinion in expecting Your great generosity
[02:51.00]
وَجَمِيلِ إِنْعَامِكَ فِي ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ مِنْكَ
wa jamili in`amika filqurba minka
and Your beautiful favor, through nearness to You,
[02:58.00]
وَٱلزُّلْفَىٰ لَدَيْكَ
wazzulfa ladayka
proximity with You,
[03:03.00]
وَٱلتَّمَتُّعِ بِٱلنَّظَرِ إِلَيْكَ
wattamattu`i binnazari ilayka
and enjoyment of gazing upon You!
[03:11.00]
وَهَا أَنا مُتَعَرِّضٌ لِنَفَحَاتِ رَوْحِكَ وَعَطْفِكَ
wa ha ana muta`arridun linafahati rawhika wa `atfika
Here am I, addressing myself to the breezes of Your freshness and tenderness,
[03:22.00]
وَمُنْتَجِعٌ غَيْثَ جُودِكَ وَلُطْفِكَ
wa muntaji`un ghaytha judika wa lutfika
having recourse to the rain of Your generosity and gentleness,
[03:30.00]
فَارُّ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ إِلَىٰ رِضَاكَ
farrun min sakhatika ila ridaka
fleeing from Your displeasure to Your good pleasure
[03:37.00]
هَارِبٌ مِنْكَ إِلَيْكَ
haribun minka ilayka
and from You to You,
[03:43.00]
رَاجٍ أَحْسَنَ مَا لَدَيْكَ
rajin ahsana ma ladayka
hoping for the best of what is with You,
[03:48.00]
مُعَوِّلٌ عَلَىٰ مَواهِبِكَ
mu`awwilun `ala mawahibika
relying upon Your gifts,
[03:54.00]
مُفْتَقِرٌ إِلَىٰ رِعَايَتِكَ
muftaqirun ila ri`ayatika
utterly poor toward Your guarding!
[04:01.00]
إِلٰهِي مَا بَدَأْتَ بِهِ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ فَتَمِّمْهُ
ilahi ma bada’ta bihi min fadlika fatammimhu
My God, Your bounty which You have begun; complete it!
[04:12.00]
وَمَا وَهَبْتَ لِي مِنْ كَرَمِكَ فَلاَ تَسْلُبْهُ
wa ma wahabta li min karamika fala taslubhu
Your generosity which You have given me; strip it not away!
[04:20.00]
وَمَا سَتَرْتَهُ عَلَيَّ بِحِلْمِكَ فَلاَ تَهْتِكْهُ
wa ma satartahu `alayya bihilmika fala tahtik-hu
Your cover over me through Your clemency; tear it not away!
[04:31.00]
وَمَا عَلِمْتَهُ مِنْ قَبِيحِ فِعْلِي فَٱغْفِرْهُ
wa ma `alimtahu min qabihi fi`li faghfirhu
My ugly acts which You have come to know; forgive them!
[04:40.00]
إِلٰهِي ٱسْتَشْفَعْتُ بِكَ إِلَيْكَ
ilahi istashfa`tu bika ilayka
My God, I seek intercession from You with You,
[04:49.00]
وَٱسْتَجَرْتُ بِكَ مِنْكَ
wastajartu bika minka
and I seek sanctuary in You from You!
[04:55.00]
أَتَيْتُكَ طَامِعاً فِي إِحْسَانِكَ
ataytuka tami`an fi ihsanika
I have come to You craving Your beneficence,
[05:01.00]
راغِباً فِي ٱمْتِنانِكَ
raghiban fimtinanika
desiring Your kindness,
[05:06.00]
مُسْتَسْقِياً وَابِلَ طَوْلِكَ
mustasqiyan wabila tawlika
seeking water from the deluge of Your graciousness,
[05:11.00]
مُسْتَمْطِراً غَمَامَ فَضْلِكَ
mustamtiran ghamama fadlika
begging rain from the clouds of Your bounty,
[05:16.00]
طَالِباً مَرْضَاتَكَ
taliban mardataka
requesting Your good pleasure,
[05:21.00]
قَاصِداً جَنَابَكَ
qasidan janabaka
going straight to Your side,
[05:26.00]
وَارِداً شَرِيعَةَ رِفْدِكَ
waridan shari`ta rifdika
arriving at the watering-place of Your support,
[05:31.00]
مُلْتَمِساً سَنِيَّ الْخَيْراتِ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ،
mul-tamisan sanee-yal-khay-raati min i’ndik
seeking exalted good things from Your quarter,
[05:38.00]
وافِداً إلىٰ حَضْرَةِ جَمالِكَ،
waafidan ila h’az”-rati jamaalik
reaching for the presence of Your beauty,
[05:45.00]
مُرِيداً وَجْهَكَ،
mureedaw-waj-hak
wanting Your face,
[05:47.00]
طارِقاً بابَكَ،
t’aariqam-baabak
knocking at Your door,
[05:51.00]
مُسْتَكِيناً لِعَظَمَتِكَ وَجَلالِكَ،
mus-takeenal-lia’z’amatika wa jalaalika
abasing myself before Your mightiness and majesty!
[05:58.00]
فَافْعَلْ بِي ما أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ مِنَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ وَالرَّحْمَةِ،
faf-a’l bee maaa anta ah-luhoo minal-magh-firati war-rah’-mati
So act toward me with the forgiveness and mercy of which You are worthy!
[06:11.00]
وَلا تَفْعَلْ بِي ما أَنَا أَهْلُهُ مِنَ الْعَذابِ وَالنّـِقْمَةِ
wa laa taf-a’l bee maaa ana ah-luhoo minal-a’d’aabi wan-niq-mati
Act not toward me with the chastisement and vengeance of which I am worthy!
[06:22.00]
بِرَحْمَتِكَ يا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
birah’-matika yaaa ar-h’amar-raah’imeen
By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful!
[06:28.00]

[00:04.00]
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرّحْمَانِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismillahi arrhmani arrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful
[00:11.00]
اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ
allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
[00:21.00]
إِلٰهِي أَذْهَلَنِي عَنْ إِقَامَةِ شُكْرِكَ تَتَابُعُ طَوْلِكَ
ilahi adhhalani `an iqamati shukrika tatabu`u tawlika
My God, the uninterrupted flow of Your graciousness hast distracted me from thanking You!
[00:36.00]
وَأَعْجَزَنِي عَنْ إِحْصَاءِ ثَنَائِكَ فَيْضُ فَضْلِكَ
wa a`jazani `an ihsa’i thana’ika faydu fadlika
The flood of Your bounty has rendered me incapable of counting Your praises!
[00:46.00]
وَشَغَلَنِي عَنْ ذِكْرِ مَحَامِدِكَ تَرَادُفُ عَوَائِدِكَ
wa shaghalani `an dhikri mahamidika taradufu `awa’idika
The succession of Your kind acts has diverted me from mentioning You in laudation!
[00:57.00]
وَأَعْيَانِي عَنْ نَشْرِ عَوَارِفِكَ تَوَالِي أَيَادِيكَ
wa a`yani `an nashri `awarifika tawali ayadika
The continuous rush of Your benefits has thwarted me from spreading the news of Your gentle favors!
[01:07.00]
وَهٰذَا مَقَامُ مَنِ ٱعْتَرَفَ بِسُبُوغِ النَّعْمَاءِ
wa hadha maqamu man i`tarafa bisubughi anna`ma’i
This is the station of him who confesses to the lavishness of favors,
[01:15.00]
وَقَابَلَهَا بِٱلتَّقْصِيرِ
wa qabalaha bittaqsiri
meets them with shortcomings,
[01:21.00]
وَشَهِدَ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ بِٱلإِهْمَالِ وَٱلتَّضْيِيعِ
wa shahida `ala nafsihi bil-ihmali wattadyi`i
and witnesses to his own disregard and negligence.
[01:29.00]
وَأَنْتَ ٱلرَّءُوفُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
wa anta arra’ufu arrahimu
You are the Clement, the Compassionate,
[01:34.00]
ٱلْبَرُّ ٱلْكَرِيمُ
albarru alkarimu
the Good, the Generous,
[01:38.00]
ٱلَّذِي لاَ يُخَيِّبُ قَاصِدِيهِ
alladhi la yukhayyibu qasidihi
who does not disappoint those who aim for Him,
[01:44.00]
وَلاَ يَطْرُدُ عَنْ فِنَائِهِ آمِلِيهِ
wa la yatrudu `an fina’ihi amilihi
nor cast out from His courtyard those who expect from Him!
[01:51.00]
بِسَاحَتِكَ تَحُطُّ رِحَالُ ٱلرَّاجِينَ
bisahatika tahuttu rihalu arrajina
In Your yard are put down the saddlebags of the hopeful
[01:59.00]
وَبِعَرْصَتِكَ تَقِفُ آمَالُ ٱلْمُسْتَرْفِدِينَ
wa bi`arsatika taqifu amalu almustarfidina
and in Your plain stand the hopes of the help-seekers!
[02:07.00]
فَلاَ تُقَابِلْ آمَالَنَا بِٱلتَّخْيِيبِ وَٱلإِيَاسِ
fala tuqabil amalana bittakhyibi wal-iyasi
So, meet not our hopes by disappointing and disheartening
[02:18.00]
وَلاَ تُلْبِسْنَا سِرْبَالَ ٱلْقُنُوطِ وَٱلإِبْلاَسِ
wa la tulbisna sirbala alqunuti wal-iblasi
and clothe us not in the shirt of despair and despondency!
[02:27.00]
إِلٰهِي تَصَاغَرَ عِنْدَ تَعَاظُمِ آلائِكَ شُكْرِي
ilahi tasaghara `inda ta`azumi ala’ika shukri
My God, my thanksgiving is small before Your great boons,
[02:39.00]
وَتَضَاءَلَ فِي جَنْبِ إِكْرَامِكَ إِيَّايَ ثَنَائِي وَنَشْرِي
wa tada’ala fi janbi ikramika iyyaya thana’i wa nashri
and my praise and news-spreading shrink beside Your generosity toward me!
[02:49.00]
جَلَّلَتْنِي نِعَمُكَ مِنْ أَنْوَارِ الإِيـمَانِ حُلَلاً
jallalatni ni`amuka min anwari al-imani hulalan
Your favors have wrapped me in the robes of the lights of faith,
[03:00.00]
وَضَرَبَتْ عَلَيَّ لَطَائِفُ بِرِّكَ مِنَ ٱلْعِزِّ كِلَلاً
wa darabat `alayya lata’ifu birrika min al`izzi kilalan
and the gentleness of Your goodness have let down over me delicate curtains of might!
[03:09.00]
وَقَلَّدَتْنِي مِنَنُكَ قَلائِدَ لاَ تُحَلُّ
wa qalladatni minanuka qala’ida la tuhallu
Your kindnesses have collared me with collars not to be moved
[03:16.00]
وَطَوَّقَتْنِي أَطْوَاقاً لاَ تُفَلُّ
wa tawwaqatni atwaqan la tufallu
and adorned me with neck-rings not to be broken!
[03:23.00]
فَآلاَؤُكَ جَمَّةٌ
fa ala’uka jammatun
Your boons are abundant;
[03:27.00]
ضَعُفَ لِسَانِي عَنْ إِحْصَائِهَا
da`ufa lisani `an ihsa’iha
my tongue is too weak to count them!
[03:33.00]
وَنَعْمَاؤُكَ كَثِيرَةٌ
wa na`ma’uka kathiratun
Your favors are many;
[03:38.00]
قَصُرَ فَهْمِي عَنْ إِدْرَاكِهَا
qasura fahmi `an idrakiha
my understanding falls short of grasping them,
[03:43.00]
فَضْلاً عَنِ ٱسْتِقْصَائِهَا
fadlan `an istiqsa’iha
not to speak of exhausting them!
[03:47.00]
فَكَيْفَ لِي بِتَحْصِيلِ ٱلشُّكْرِ
fakayfa li bitahsili ashshukri
So, how can I achieve thanksgiving?
[03:53.00]
وَشُكرِي إِيَّاكَ يَفْتَقِرُ إِلَىٰ شُكْرٍ
wa shukri iyyaka yaftaqiru ila shukrin
For my thanking You requires thanksgiving.
[04:01.00]
فَكُلَّمَا قُلْتُ لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ
fakullama qultu laka alhamdu
Whenever I say, ‘To You belongs praise!’
[04:05.00]
وَجَبَ عَلَيَّ لِذٰلِكَ أَنْ أَقولَ لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ
wajaba `alayya lidhalika an aqula laka alhamdu
it becomes thereby incumbent upon me to say, ‘To You belongs praise!’
[04:13.00]
إِلٰهِي فَكَمَا غَذَّيْتَنَا بِلُطْفِكَ
ilahi fakama ghadhdhaytana bilutfika
My God, as You have fed us through Your gentleness
[04:22.00]
وَرَبَّيْتَنَا بِصُنْعِكَ
wa rabbaytana bisun`ika
and nurtured us through Your benefaction,
[04:27.00]
فَتَمِّمْ عَلَيْنَا سَوَابِغَ ٱلنِّعَمِ
fatammim `alayna sawabigha anni`ami
so also complete for us lavish favors,
[04:33.00]
وَٱدْفَعْ عَنَّا مَكَارِهَ ٱلنِّقَمِ
wadfa` `anna makariha anniqami
repel from us detested acts of vengeance,
[04:39.00]
وَآتِنَا مِنْ حُظُوظِ ٱلدَّارَيْنِ
wa atina min huzuzi addarayni
and of the shares of the two abodes,
[04:45.00]
أَرْفَعَهَا وَ جَلَّهَا عَاجِلاً وَآجِلاً
arfa`aha wa ajallaha `ajilan wa ajilan
give us their most elevated and their greatest, both the immediate and the deferred!
[04:52.00]
وَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ عَلَىٰ حُسْنِ بَلائِكَ
wa laka alhamdu `ala husni bala’ika
To You belongs praise for Your good trial
[04:58.00]
وَسُبُوغِ نَعْمائِكَ
wa subooghi naa’-maaa-ika
and the lavishness of Your favours,
[05:02.00]
حَمْداً يُوافِقُ رِضاكَ،
h’am-day-yuwafiqu riz”aaka
a praise conforming to Your good pleasure
[05:07.00]
وَيَمْتَرِي الْعَظِيمَ مِنْ بِرّ ِكَ وَنَداكَ،
wa yam-tareel-a’z’eema mim-bir-rika wa nadaaka
and attracting Your great goodness and magnanimity.
[05:14.00]
يا عَظِيمُ يا كَرِيمُ،
yaa a’z’eemu yaa kareemu
O All-mighty, O All-generous!
[05:21.00]
بِرَحْمَتِكَ يا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.
birah’-matika yaaa ar-h’amar-raah’imeen
By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful!

[00:05.00]
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful
[00:11.00]
اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ
allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
[00:21.00]
اللَّهُمَّ أَلْهِمْنَا طَاعَتَكَ
allahumma alhimna ta`ataka
O Allah, inspire us to obey You,
[00:28.00]
وَجَنِّبْنَا مَعْصِيَتَكَ
wa jannibna ma`siyataka
turn us aside from disobeying You,
[00:32.00]
وَيَسِّرْ لَنا بُلُوغَ مَا نَتَمَنَّىٰ
wa yassir lana bulugha ma natamanna
make it easy for us to reach that which we wish
[00:39.00]
مِنِ ٱبْتِغَاءِ رِضْوَانِكَ
min ibtigha’i ridwanika
from the seeking of Your good pleasure,
[00:44.00]
وَأَحْلِلْنَا بُحْبُوحَةَ جِنَانِكَ
wa ahlilna buhbuhata jinanika
set us down in the midst of Your Gardens,
[00:50.00]
وَٱقْشَعْ عَنْ بَصَائِرِنَا سَحَابَ ٱلاِرْتِيَابِ
waqsha` `an basa’irina sahaba alirtiyabi
dispel from our insights the clouds of misgiving,
[00:59.00]
وَٱكْشِفْ عَنْ قُلُوبِنَا أَغْشِيَةَ ٱلْمِرْيَةِ وَٱلْحِجَابِ
wakshif `an qulubina aghshiyata almiryati walhijabi
uncover from our hearts the wrappings of doubt and the veil,
[01:08.00]
وَأَزْهِقِ ٱلْبَاطِلَ عَنْ ضَمَائِرِنَا
wa azhiq albatila `an dama’irina
make falsehood vanish from our innermost minds,
[01:14.00]
وَأَثْبِتِ ٱلْحَقَّ فِي سَرَائِرِنَا
wa athbit alhaqqa fi sara’irina
and fix the truth in our secret thoughts,
[01:21.00]
فَإِنَّ ٱلشُّكُوكَ وَٱلظُّنُونَ لَوَاقِحُ ٱلْفِتَنِ
fa inna ashshukuka wazzununa lawaqihu alfitani
for doubts and opinions fertilize temptations
[01:28.00]
وَمُكَدِّرَةٌ لِصَفْوِ ٱلْمَنَائِحِ وَٱلْمِنَنِ
wa mukaddiratun lisafwi almana’ihi walminani
and muddle the purity of gifts and kindnesses!
[01:35.00]
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱحْمِلْنَا فِي سُفُنِ نَجَاتِكَ
allahumma ihmilna fi sufuni najatika
O Allah, carry us in the ships of Your deliverance,
[01:43.00]
وَمَتِّعْنَا بِلَذِيذِ مُناجَاتِكَ
wa matti`na biladhidhi munajatika
give us to enjoy the pleasure of whispered prayer to You,
[01:49.00]
وَأَوْرِدْنَا حِيَاضَ حُبِّكَ
wa awridna hiyada hubbika
make us drink at the pools of Your love,
[01:56.00]
وَأَذِقْنَا حَلاوَةَ وُدِّكَ وَقُرْبِكَ
wa adhiqna halawata wuddika wa qurbika
let us taste the sweetness of Your affection and nearness,
[02:05.00]
وَٱجْعَلْ جِهَادَنا فِيكَ
waj`al jihadana fika
allow us to struggle in You,
[02:09.00]
وَهَمَّنَا فِي طَاعَتِكَ
wa hammana fi ta`atika
preoccupy us with obeying You,
[02:13.00]
وَأَخْلِصْ نِيَّاتِنَا فِي مُعَامَلَتِكَ
wa akhlis niyyatina fi mu`amalatika
and purify our intentions in devoting works to You,
[02:18.00]
فَإِنَّا بِكَ وَلَكَ
fa inna bika wa laka
for we exist through You and belong to You,
[02:24.00]
وَلاَ وَسيلَةَ لَنَا إِلَيْكَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ
wa la wasilata lana ilayka illa anta
and we have no one to mediate with You but You!
[02:31.00]
إِلٰهِي ٱجْعَلْنِي مِنَ ٱلْمُصْطَفَيْنَ ٱلأَخْيَارِ
ilahi ij`alni min almustafayna al-akhyari
My God, place me among the chosen, the good,
[02:42.00]
وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِٱلصَّالِحِينَ ٱلأَبْرَارِ
wa alhiqni bissalihina al-abrari
join me to the righteous, the pious,
[02:48.00]
ٱلسَّابِقِينَ إِلَىٰ ٱلْمَكْرُمَاتِ
assabiqina ila almakrumati
the first to reach generous gifts,
[02:53.00]
ٱلْمُسَارِعِينَ إِلَىٰ ٱلْخَيْراتِ
almusari`ina ila alkhayrati
the swift to come upon good things,
[02:58.00]
ٱلْعَامِلِينَ لِلْبَاقِيَاتِ ٱلصَّالِحَاتِ
al`amilina lilbaqiyati assalihati
the workers of the enduring acts of righteousness,
[03:05.00]
ٱلسَّاعِينَ إِلىٰ رَفِيعِ ٱلدَّرَجَاتِ
assa`ina ila rafi`i addarajati
the strivers after elevated degrees!
[03:11.00]
إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
innaka `ala kulli shay’in qadirun
You are powerful over everything
[03:17.00]
وَبِٱلإِجَابَةِ جَدِيرٌ
wa bil-ijabati jadirun
and disposed to respond!
[03:22.00]
بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ
birahmatika ya arhama arrahimina
By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful!

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-mercifull
[00:12.00]
اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ
allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
[00:23.00]
سُبْحانَكَ!
subhanaka
Glory be to You!
[00:26.00]
مَا أَضْيَقَ ٱلطُّرُقَ عَلَىٰ مَنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ دَلِيلَهُ
ma adyaqa atturuqa `ala man lam takun dalilahu
How narrow are the paths for him whom You have not guided!
[00:36.00]
وَمَا أَوْضَحَ ٱلْحَقَّ عِنْدَ مَنْ هَدَيْتَهُ سَبِيلَهُ
wa ma awdaha alhaqqa `inda man hadaytahu sabilahu
How plain the truth for him whom You have guided on his way!
[00:46.00]
إِلٰهِي فَٱسْلُكْ بِنَا سُبُلَ ٱلْوُصُولِ إِلَيْكَ
ilahi fasluk bina subula alwusuli ilayka
My God, so make us travel on the roads that arrive at You
[01:00.00]
وَسَيِّرْنَا فِي أَقْرَبِ ٱلطُّرُقِ لِلْوُفُودِ عَلَيْكَ
wa sayyirna fi aqrabi atturuqi lilwufudi `alayka
and set us into motion on the paths nearest to reaching You!
[01:13.00]
قَرِّبْ عَلَيْنَا ٱلْبَعِيدَ
qarrib `alayna alba`ida
Make near for us the far,
[01:19.00]
وَسَهِّلْ عَلَيْنَا ٱلْعَسِيرَ ٱلشَّدِيدَ
wa sahhil `alayna al`asira ashshadida
and make easy for us the hard and difficult!
[01:28.00]
وَأَلْحِقْنَا بِعِبَادِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ بِٱلْبِدَارِ إِلَيْكَ يُسَارِعُونَ
wa alhiqna bi`ibadika alladhina hum bilbidari ilayka yusari`una
Join us to Your servants, those who hurry to You swiftly,
[01:41.00]
وَبَابَكَ عَلَىٰ ٱلدَّوَامِ يَطْرُقُونَ
wa babaka `ala addawami yatruquna
knock constantly at Your door,
[01:48.00]
وَإِيَّاكَ فِي ٱللَّيلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ يَعبُدُونَ
wa iyyaka fillayli wannahari ya`buduna
and worship You by night and by day,
[01:57.00]
وَهُمْ مِنْ هَيْبَتِكَ مُشْفِقُونَ
wa hum min haybatika mushfiquna
while they remain apprehensive in awe of You!
[02:05.00]
ٱلَّذِينَ صَفَّيْتَ لَهُمُ ٱلْمَشَارِبَ
alladhina saffayta lahum almashariba
You have purified their drinking places,
[02:11.00]
وَبَلَّغْتَهُمُ ٱلرَّغَائِبَ
wa ballaghtahum arragha’iba
taken them to the objects of their desire,
[02:18.00]
وَأَنْجَحْتَ لَهُمُ ٱلْمَطَالِبَ
wa anjahta lahum almataliba
granted their requests,
[02:24.00]
وَقَضَيْتَ لَهُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ ٱلْمَآرِبَ
wa qadayta lahum min fadlika alma’ariba
accomplished their wishes through Your bounty,
[02:31.00]
وَمَلَأْتَ لَهُمْ ضَمَائِرَهُمْ مِنْ حُبِّكَ
wa mala’ta lahum dama’irahum min hubbika
filled their minds with Your love,
[02:38.00]
وَرَوَّيتَهُمْ مِنْ صَافِي شِرْبِكَ
wa rawwaytahum min safi shirbika
and quenched their thirst with Your pure drink.
[02:45.00]
فَبِكَ إِلَىٰ لَذِيذِ مُنَاجَاتِكَ وَصَلُوٱ
fabika ila ladhidhi munajatika wasalu
Through You have they reached the pleasure of whispered prayer to You,
[02:54.00]
وَمِنْكَ أَقْصَىٰ مَقَاصِدِهِمْ حَصَّلُوٱ
wa minka aqsa maqasidihim hassalu
and in You have they achieved their furthest goals.
[03:01.00]
فَيَا مَنْ هُوَ عَلَىٰ ٱلْمُقْبِلِينَ عَلَيْهِ مُقْبِلٌ
faya man huwa `ala almuqbilina `alayhi muqbilun
O He who comes toward those who come toward Him
[03:08.00]
وَبِٱلْعَطْفِ عَلَيْهِمْ عَائِدٌ مُفْضِلٌ
wa bil`atfi `alayhim `a’idun mufdilun
and grants gifts and bestows bounty upon them through tenderness!
[03:16.00]
وَبِٱلْغَافِلِينَ عَنْ ذِكْرِهِ رَحِيمٌ رَءُوفٌ
wa bilghafilina `an dhikrihi rahimun ra’ufun
He is compassionate and clement toward those heedless of His remembrance
[03:25.00]
وَبِجَذْبِهِمْ إِلَىٰ بَابِهِ وَدُودٌ عَطُوفٌ
wa bijadhbihim ila babihi wadudun `atufun
and loving and tender in drawing them to His door!
[03:33.00]
أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَنِي مِنْ أَوْفَرِهِمْ مِنْكَ حَظّاً
as’aluka an taj`alani min awfarihim minka hazzan
I ask You to place me among those of them who have the fullest share from You,
[03:44.00]
وَأَعْلاهُمْ عِنْدَكَ مَنْزِلاً
wa a`lahum `indaka manzilan
the highest station with You,
[03:50.00]
وَأَجْزَلِهِمْ مِنْ وُدِّكَ قِسْماً
wa ajzalihim min wuddika qisman
the most plentiful portion of Your love,
[03:57.00]
وَأَفْضَلِهِمْ فِي مَعْرِفَتِكَ نَصِيباً
wa afdalihim fi ma`rifatika nasiban
and the most excellent allotment of Your knowledge,
[04:04.00]
فَقَدِ ٱنْقَطَعَتْ إِلَيْكَ هِمَّتِي
faqad inqata`at ilayka himmati
for my aspiration has been cut off from everything but You
[04:10.00]
وَٱنْصَرَفَتْ نَحْوَكَ رَغْبَتِي
wa insarafat nahwaka raghbati
and my desire has turned toward You alone.
[04:15.00]
فَأَنْتَ لاَ غَيْرُكَ مُرَادِي
fa anta la ghayruka muradi
You are my object, none other;
[04:22.00]
وَلَكَ لاَ لِسِوَاكَ سَهَرِي وَسُهَادِي
wa laka la lisiwaka sahari wa suhadi
to You alone belongs my waking and my sleeplessness.
[04:30.00]
وَلِقَاؤُكَ قُرَّةُ عَيْنِي
wa liqa’uka qurratu `ayni
Meeting You is the gladness of my eye,
[04:37.00]
وَوَصْلُكَ مُنَىٰ نَفْسِي
wa wasluka muna nafsi
and joining You is the wish of my soul.
[04:44.00]
وَإِلَيْكَ شَوْقِي
wa ilayka shawqi
Toward You is my yearning,
[04:48.00]
وَفِي مَحَبَّتِكَ وَلَهِي
wa fi mahabbatika walahi
in love for You my passionate longing,
[04:54.00]
وَإِلَىٰ هَوَاكَ صَبَابَتِي
wa ila hawaka sababati
in inclining toward You my fervent craving.
[05:00.00]
وَرِضَاكَ بُغْيَتِي
wa ridaka bughyati
Your good pleasure is the aim I seek,
[05:06.00]
وَرُؤْيَتُكَ حَاجَتِي
wa ru’yatuka hajati
vision of You my need,
[05:10.00]
وَجِوَارُكَ طَلِبَتِي
wa jiwaruka talibati
Your neighborhood my request,
[05:14.00]
وَقُرْبُكَ غايَةُ سُؤْلِي
wa qurbuka ghayatu su’li
and nearness to You is the utmost object of my asking.
[05:20.00]
وَفِي مُناجَاتِكَ رَوْحِي وَرَاحَتِي
wa fi munajatika rawhi wa rahati
In whispered prayer to You, I find my repose and my ease.
[05:27.00]
وَعِنْدَكَ دَوَاءُ عِلَّتِي
wa `indak dawa’u `illati
With You lies the remedy of my illness,
[05:32.00]
وَشِفَاءُ غُلَّتِي
wa shifa’u ghullati
the cure for my burning thirst,
[05:35.50]
وَبَرْدُ لَوْعَتِي
wa bardu law`ati
the coolness of my ardor,
[05:39.00]
وَكَشْفُ كُرْبَتِي
wa kashfu kurbati
the removal of my distress.
[05:43.00]
فَكُنْ أَنِيسِي فِي وَحْشَتِي
fakun anisi fi wahshati
Be my intimate in my loneliness,
[05:48.00]
وَمُقِيلَ عَثْرَتِي
wa muqila `athrati
the releaser of my stumble,
[05:52.00]
وَغَافِرَ زَلَّتِي
wa ghafira zallati
the forgiver of my slip,
[05:56.00]
وَقَابِلَ تَوْبَتِي
wa qabila tawbati
the accepter of my repentance,
[06:01.00]
وَمُجِيبَ دَعْوَتِي
wa mujiba da`wati
the responder to my supplication,
[06:05.00]
وَوَلِيَّ عِصْمَتِي
wa waliyya `ismati
the patron of preserving me from sin,
[06:09.00]
وَمُغْنِيَ فَاقَتِي
wa mughniya faqati
the one who frees me from my neediness
[06:14.00]
وَلاَ تَقْطَعْنِي عَنْكَ
wa la taqta`ni `anka
Cut me not off from You
[06:19.00]
وَلاَ تُبْعِدْنِي مِنْكَ
wa la tub`idni minka
and keep me not far from You
[06:23.00]
يَا نَعِيمِي وَجَنَّتِي
ya na`imi wa jannati
O my bliss and my garden
[06:28.00]
وَيَا دُنْيَايَ وَآخِرَتِي
wa ya dunyaya wa akhirati
O my world and my hereafter
[06:34.00]
يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ
ya arhama arrahimina
O Most Merciful of the merciful
[06:40.00]

[00:04.00]
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful
[00:09.00]
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
Tra”O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,
[00:20.00]
إِلٰهِي مَنْ ذَا ٱلَّذِي ذَاقَ حَلاوَةَ مَحَبَّتِكَ فَرَامَ مِنْكَ بَدَلاً
ilahi man dhalladhi dhaqa halawata mahabbatika farama minka badalan
My God, who can have tasted the sweetness of Your love, then wanted another in place of You?
[00:36.00]
وَمَنْ ذَا ٱلَّذِي أَنِسَ بِقُرْبِكَ فَٱبْتَغَىٰ عَنْكَ حِوَلاً
wa man dhalladhi anisa biqurbika fabtagha `anka hiwalan
Who can have become intimate with Your nearness, then sought removal from You?
[00:46.00]
إِلٰهِي فَٱجْعَلْنَا مِمَّنِ ٱصْطَفَيْتَهُ لِقُرْبِكَ وَوِلايَتِكَ
ilahi faj`alna mimman istafaytahu liqurbika wa wilayatika
My God, place us with him whom You have chosen for Your nearness and Your friendship,
[00:59.00]
وَأَخْلَصْتَهُ لِوُدِّكَ وَمَحَبَّتِكَ
wa akhlastahu liwuddika wa mahabbatika
purified through Your affection and Your love,
[01:06.00]
وَشَوَّقْتَهُ إِلَىٰ لِقَائِكَ
wa shawwaqtahu ila liqa’ika
given yearning for the meeting with You,
[01:13.00]
وَرَضَّيْتَهُ بِقَضَائِكَ
wa raddaytahu biqada’ika
made pleased with Your decree,
[01:18.00]
وَمَنَحْتَهُ بِٱلنَّظَرِ إِلَىٰ وَجْهِكَ
wa manahtahu binnazari ila wajhika
granted gazing upon thy face,
[01:25.00]
وَحَبَوْتَهُ بِرِضَاكَ
wa habawtahu biridaka
shown the favor of Your good pleasure,
[01:30.00]
وَأَعَذْتَهُ مِنْ هَجْرِكَ وَقِلاكَ
wa a`adhtahu min hajrika wa qilaka
given refuge from separation from You and Your loathing,
[01:37.00]
وَبَوَّأْتَهُ مَقْعَدَ ٱلصِّدْقِ فِي جِوَارِكَ
wa bawwa’tahu maq`ada assidqi fi jiwarika
settled in a sure sitting place in Your neighborhood,
[01:44.00]
وَخَصَصْتَهُ بِمَعْرِفَتِكَ
wa khasastahu bima`rifatika
singled out for true knowledge of You,
[01:50.00]
وَأَهَّلْتَهُ لِعِبَادَتِكَ
wa ahhaltahu li`ibadatika
made worthy for worship of You,
[01:56.00]
وَهَيَّمْتَ قَلْبَهُ لإِرَادَتِكَ
wa hayyamta qalbahu li-iradatika
whose heart You have captivated with Your will,
[02:03.00]
وَٱجْتَبَيْتَهُ لِمُشَاهَدَتِكَ
wajtabaytahu limushahadatika
whom You have picked for contemplating You,
[02:09.00]
وَأَخْلَيْتَ وَجْهَهُ لَكَ
wa akhlayta wajhahu laka
whose look You have made empty for You,
[02:13.00]
وَفَرَّغْتَ فُؤَادَهُ لِحُبِّكَ
wa farraghta fu’adahu lihubbika
whose breast You have freed for Your love,
[02:20.00]
وَرَغَّبْتَهُ فِيمَا عِنْدَكَ
wa raghghabtahu fima `indaka
whom You have made desirous of what is with You,
[02:26.00]
وَأَلْهَمْتَهُ ذِكْرَكَ
wa alhamtahu dhikraka
inspired with Your remembrance,
[02:32.00]
وَأَوْزَعْتَهُ شُكْرَكَ
wa awza`tahu shukraka
allotted thanksgiving to You,
[02:37.00]
وَشَغَلْتَهُ بِطَاعَتِكَ
wa shaghaltahu bita`atika
occupied with obeying You,
[02:42.00]
وَصَيَّرْتَهُ مِنْ صَالِحِي بَرِيَّتِكَ
wa sayyartahu min salihi bariyyatika
turned into one of Your righteous creatures,
[02:50.00]
وَٱخْتَرْتَهُ لِمُنَاجَاتِكَ
wakhtartahu limunajatika
chosen for whispered prayer to You,
[02:57.00]
وَقَطَعْتَ عَنْهُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ يَقْطَعُهُ عَنْكَ
wa qata`ta `anhu kulla shay’in yaqta`uhu `anka
and from whom You have cut off all things which cut him off from You!
[03:07.00]
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱجْعَلْنَا مِمَّنْ دَأْبُهُمُ ٱلاِرْتِيَاحُ إِلَيْكَ وَٱلْحَنِينُ
allahumma ij`alna mimman da’buhum alirtiyahu ilayka walhaninu
O Allah, place us among those whose habit is rejoicing in You and yearning for You,
[03:18.00]
وَدَهْرُهُمُ ٱلزَّفْرَةُ وَٱلأَنِينُ
wa dahruhum azzafratu wal-aninu
whose time is spent in sighing and moaning!
[03:25.00]
جِبَاهُهُمْ سَاجِدَةٌ لِعَظَمَتِكَ
jibahuhum sajidatun li`azamatika
Their foreheads are bowed down before Your mightiness,
[03:32.00]
وَعُيُونُهُمْ سَاهِرَةٌ فِي خِدْمَتِكَ
wa `uyunuhum sahiratun fi khidmatika
their eyes wakeful in Your service,
[03:40.00]
وَدُمُوعُهُمْ سَائِلَةٌ مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ
wa dumu`uhum sa’ilatun min khashyatika
their tears flowing in dread of You,
[03:48.00]
وَقُلُوبُهُمْ مُتَعَلِّقَةٌ بِمَحَبَّتِكَ
wa qulubuhum muta`alliqatun bimahabbatika
their hearts fixed upon Your love,
[03:56.00]
وَأَفْئِدَتُهُمْ مُنْخَلِعَةٌ مِنْ مَهَابَتِكَ
wa af’idatuhum munkhali`atun min mahabatika
their cores shaken with awe of You.
[04:05.00]
يَا مَنْ أَنْوَارُ قُدْسِهِ لأَبْصَارِ مُحِبِّيهِ رَائِقَةٌ
ya man anwaru qudsihi li-absari muhibbihi ra’iqatun
O He the lights of whose holiness induce wonder in the eyes of His lovers,
[04:15.00]
وَسُبُحَاتُ وَجْهِهِ لِقُلُوبِ عَارِفِيهِ شَائِقَةٌ
wa subuhatu wajhihi liqulubi `arifihi sha’iqatun
the glories of whose face arouse the longing of the hearts of His knowers!
[04:24.00]
يَا مُنَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُشْتَاقِينَ
ya muna qulubi almushtaqina
O Furthest Wish of the hearts of the yearners!
[04:30.00]
وَيَا غَايَةَ آمَالِ ٱلْمُحِبِّينَ
wa ya ghayata amali almuhibbina
O Utmost Limit of the hopes of the lovers!
[04:38.00]
أَسْأَلُكَ حُبَّكَ وَحُبَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّكَ
as’aluka hubbaka wa hubba man yuhibbuka
I ask from You love for You, love for those who love You,
[04:47.00]
وَحُبَّ كُلِّ عَمَلٍ يُوصِلُنِي إِلىٰ قُرْبِكَ
wa hubba kulli `amalin yusiluni ila qurbika
love for every work which will join me to Your nearness,
[04:55.00]
وَأَنْ تَجْعَلَكَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيَّ مِمَّا سِوَاكَ
wa an taj`alaka ahabba ilayya mimma siwaka
and that You make Yourself more beloved to me than anything other than You
[05:04.00]
وَأَنْ تَجْعَلَ حُبِّي إِيَّاكَ قَائِداً إِلَىٰ رِضْوَانِكَ
wa an taj`ala hubbi iyyaka qa’idan ila ridwanika
and make my love for You lead to Your good pleasure,
[05:14.00]
وَشَوْقِي إِلَيْكَ ذَائِداً عَنْ عِصْيَانِكَ
wa shawqi ilayka dha’idan `an `isyanika
and my yearning for You protect against disobeying You!
[05:21.00]
وَٱمْنُنْ بِٱلنَّظَرِ إِلَيْكَ عَلَيَّ
wamnum binnazari ilayka `alayya
Oblige me by allowing me to gaze upon You,
[05:27.00]
وَٱنْظُرْ بِعَيْنِ ٱلْوُدِّ وَٱلْعَطْفِ إِلَيَّ
wanzur bi`ayni alwuddi wal`atfi ilayya
gaze upon me with the eye of affection and tenderness,
[05:34.00]
وَلاَ تَصْرِفْ عَنِّي وَجْهَكَ
wa la tasrif `anni wajhaka
turn not Your face away from me,
[05:41.00]
وَٱجْعَلْنِي مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلإِسْعَادِ وَٱلْحُظْوَةِ عِنْدَكَ
waj`alni min ahli al-is`adi walhuzwati `indaka
and make me one of the people of happiness with You and favored position!
[05:50.00]
يَا مُجِيبُ يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ
ya mujibu ya arhama arrahimina
O Responder, O Most Merciful of the merciful!

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful
[00:12.00]
اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ
allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
[00:23.00]
إِلٰهِي لَيْسَ لِي وَسِيلَةٌ إِلَيْكَ إِلاَّ عَوَاطِفُ رَأْفَتِكَ
ilahi laysa li wasilatun ilayka illa `awatifu ra’fatika
My God, I have no mediation with You but the tender acts of Your clemency,

وَلاَ لِي ذَرِيعَةٌ إِلَيْكَ إِلاَّ عَوَارِفُ رَحْمَتِكَ
wa la li dhari`atun ilayka illa `awarifu rahmatika
nor any way to come to You but the gentle favors of Your mercy
[00:52.00]
وَشَفَاعَةُ نَبِيِّكَ نَبِيِّ ٱلرَّحْمَةِ
wa shafa`atu nabiyyika nabiyyi arrahmati
and the intercession of Your Prophet, the prophet of mercy,
[01:01.00]
وَمُنْقِذِ ٱلأُمَّةِ مِنَ ٱلْغُمَّةِ
wa munqidhi al-ummati min alghummati
who rescued the community from confusion.
[01:06.00]
فَٱجْعَلْهُمَا لِي سَبَباً إِلَىٰ نَيْلِ غُفْرَانِكَ
faj`alhuma li sababan ila nayli ghufranika
Make these two my tie to attaining Your forgiveness
[01:17.00]
وَصَيِّرْهُمَا لِي وُصْلَةً إِلَىٰ ٱلْفَوْزِ بِرِضْوَانِكَ
wa sayyirhuma li wuslatan ila alfawzi biridwanika
and let them take me to triumph through Your good pleasure!
[01:28.00]
وَقَدْ حَلَّ رَجَائِي بِحَرَمِ كَرَمِكَ
wa qad halla raja’i biharami karamika
My hope has dismounted in the sacred precinct of Your generosity,
[01:35.00]
وَحَطَّ طَمَعِي بِفِنَاءِ جُودِكَ
wa hatta tama`i bifina’i judika
my craving has alighted in the courtyard of Your munificence.
[01:43.00]
فَحَقِّقْ فِيكَ أَمَلِي
fahaqqiq fika amali
So, actualize my expectation from You,
[01:49.00]
وَٱخْتِمْ بِٱلْخَيْرِ عَمَلِي
wakhtim bilkhayri `amali
seal my works with good,
[01:54.00]
وَٱجْعَلْنِي مِنْ صَفْوَتِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَحْلَلْتَهُمْ بُحْبُوحَةَ جَنَّتِكَ
waj`alni min safwatika alladhina ahlaltahum buhbuhata jannatika
and place me among Your selected friends, those whom You have set down in the midst of Your Garden,
[02:06.00]
وَبَوَّأْتَهُمْ دَارَ كَرَامَتِكَ
wa bawwa’tahum dara karamatika
and settled in the abode of Your honor,
[02:13.00]
وَأَقْرَرْتَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ بِٱلنَّظَرِ إِلَيْكَ يَوْمَ لِقَائِكَ
wa aqrarta a`yunahum binnazari ilayka yawma liqa’ika
whose eyes You have gladdened by gazing upon You on the day of meeting You,
[02:24.00]
وَأَوْرَثْتَهُمْ مَنَازِلَ ٱلصِّدْقِ فِي جَوَارِكَ
wa awrathtahum manazila assidqi fi jiwarika
and whom You have made heirs to the sure stations in Your neighborhood!
[02:32.00]
يَا مَنْ لاَ يَفِدُ ٱلْوَافِدُونَ عَلَىٰ أَكْرَمَ مِنْهُ
ya man la yafidu alwafiduna `ala akrama minhu
O He none more generous than whom is reached by the reachers
[02:41.00]
وَلاَ يَجِدُ ٱلْقَاصِدُونَ أَرْحَمَ مِنْهُ
wa la yajidu alqasiduna arhama minhu
and none more merciful than whom is found by the aimers!
[02:50.00]
يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ خَلا بِهِ وَحِيدٌ
ya khayra man khala bihi wahidun
O Best of those with whom the lonely are alone!
[02:56.00]
وَيَا أَعْطَفَ مَنْ آوَىٰ إِلَيْهِ طَرِيدٌ
wa ya a`tafa man awa ilayhi taridun
O most Tender of those with whom outcasts seek haven!
[03:04.00]
إِلَىٰ سَعَةِ عَفْوِكَ مَدَدْتُ يَدِي
ila sa`ati `afwika madadtu yadi
Toward the expanse of Your pardon have I extended my hand,
[03:10.00]
وَبِذَيْلِ كَرَمِكَ أَعْلَقْتُ كَفِّي
wa bidhayli karamika a`laqtu kaffi
upon the skirt of Your generosity have I fastened my grasp!
[03:17.00]
فَلاَ تُولِنِي ٱلْحِرْمَانَ
fala tulini alhirmana
Show me no deprivation
[03:22.00]
وَلاَ تُبْلِنِي بِٱلْخَيْبَةِ وَٱلْخُسْرَانِ
wa la tublini bilkhaybati walkhusrani
and afflict me not with disappointment and loss!
[03:31.00]
يَا سَمِيعَ ٱلدُّعَاءِ
ya sami`a addu`a’i
O Hearer of supplications!
[03:35.00]
يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ
ya arhama arrahimina
O Most Merciful of the merciful!
