Amaal & Namaz

 

 

 

1.A great reward is recorded for one who repeats Surah al-Tawhid one thousand times on this day.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

2.Recite Salawat as many times possible.

اللَّهُمَّ ٱلْعَنْ قَتَلَةَ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلاَمُ

allahumma il`an qatalata alhusayni `alayhi alssalamu

O Allah, (please do) curse the slayers of al-Husayn, peace be upon him.

3.It is recommended, on this day, to invoke Almighty Allah to lay curse on the slayers of Imam Husayn (peace be upon him) one thousand times by saying following statement:

Recite Ziyarah 'Ashura and Dua Alqama
Recite Ziyarah Nahiya (includes special ziyarat of Martyrs on Ashura)
Recite Ziyarah of Ta`ziyah (Condolence) after `Asr on Ashura
5.Recite a four unit salaah (2x2), anytime between Fajr and Dhuhr in the following manner;
In the first unit, after Súra al- Hamd, recite Súra al-Káfirún (109) and in the second unit, after Súra al-Hamd, recite Súra al-Ikhlás.
In the third unit, after Súra al- Hamd, recite Súra al-Ahzáb(33)  and in the fourth unit, after Súra al-Hamd, recite Súra al-Munáfiqún (63) .

 

 

 

Stay awake and listen to the museebah (tragedies) of Imam Husayn (peace be upon him), his family and his companions.
The reward of spending this whole night with acts of worship, as per narrations is that one who does so shall be considered having worshipped Almighty Allah with the worship of all the angels. The acts of worship at this night is equal to seventy-years worship.
1.Offer a four unit prayer with Surah al-Fatihah once and Surah al-Tawhid fifty times, (like the prayer of Imam `Ali Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him), which has high reward).Sayyid Ibn Tawus says after citing this prayer, “When you finish the fourth units, you may mention Almighty Allah, invoke blessings upon the Holy Prophet and his Household, and curse their enemies as many times as possible.
2.Offer a one hundred unit prayer with Surah al-Fatihah once and Surah al-Tawhid three times in each unit. After accomplishment, the following is repeated seventy times:

سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ وَٱللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ

subhana allahi walhamdu lillahi wa la ilaha illa allahu wallahu akbaru

All glory be to Allah,all praise be to Allah,there is no god save Allah,Allah is the Greatest

 

وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَلِيِّ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahi al`aliyyi al`azimi

and there is neither might nor power save with Allah, the All-high the All-great.

 

 

 

 

3.Offer a four unit prayer at the last hours of this night, reciting Surah al-Fatihah once and repeating Ayah al-Kursi and Surah al-Tawhid, al-Falaq,al-Nas ten times each. After accomplishment,Surah al-Tawhid is repeated one hundred times.
4.Offer Salat-ul Tahajjud (Namaz e Shab)
5.Recite   Ziyarah 'Ashura After ziyarat recite Dua Alqama

 

 

 

The following prayers and supplications for the night of Ashura are narrated in Al-Mukhtasar Minal Muntakhab,
"On Ashura say four units of prayers. In each unit of the prayer recite the Opening Chapter once, “S Ikhlass 100 times.
It has even been narrated that the Opening Chapter should be recited one-hundred times in each unit and S Ikhlass three times.
Say 100 or 70 times ( as in some narrations)

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِوَ أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَوَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

 

i."Glory be to God and Praise be to Him. There is no God but God. And God is the Great. There is no change nor any strength except by God – the Sublime, the Supreme"
ii.I Ask God for forgiveness
iii.Bestow blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (as)

 

 

 

 

Then say the following supplications that are highly honored as expressed in Kitab al-Riaz.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ

 

"O' my God! I ask You, O' God! O' Compassionate! O' God! O' Compassionate! O' God! O' Compassionate! O' God! O' Compassionate! O' God! O' Compassionate! O' God! O' Compassionate! O' God! O' Compassionate! O' God! O' Compassionate! O' God! O' Compassionate! O' God! O' Compassionate!

 

وَ أَسْأَلُكَ‌ بِأَسْمَائِكَ الْوَضِيئَةِ الرَّضِيَّةِ الْمَرْضِيَّةِ الْكَبِيرَةِ الْكَثِيرَةِ

 

O' God! And I ask You by Your Names – Pure, Pleasant, Pleasing, Great, Extensive.

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَسْمَائِكَ الْعَزِيزَةِ الْمَنِيعَةِ

 

O' God! And I ask You by Your Names – Exalted, Impenetrable!

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَسْمَائِكَ الْكَامِلَةِ التَّامَّةِ

 

O' God! And I ask You by Your Complete and Perfect Names!

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَسْمَائِكَ الْمَشْهُورَةِ الْمَشْهُودَةِ لَدَيْكَ

 

O' God! And I ask You by Your Names clearly known to be Yours.

 

يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَسْمَائِكَ الَّتِي لَا يَنْبَغِي لِشَيْ‌ءٍ أَنْ يَتَسَمَّى بِهَا غَيْرُكَ

 

O' God! And I ask You by Your Names that nothing deserves to be called by but You.

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَسْمَائِكَ الَّتِي لَا تُرَامُ وَ لَا تَزُولُ

 

O' God! And I ask You by Your Names that do not collapse or end!

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا تَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ لَكَ رِضًا مِنْ أَسْمَائِكَ

 

O' God! And I ask You by Your Names which You know that they please You.

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَسْمَائِكَ الَّتِي سَجَدَ لَهَا كُلُّ شَيْ‌ءٍ دُونَكَ

 

O' God! And I ask You by Your Names to which all things prostrate.

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَسْمَائِكَ الَّتِي لَا يَعْدِلُهَا عِلْمٌ وَ لَا قُدْسٌ وَ لَا شَرَفٌ وَ لَا وَقَارٌ

 

O' God! And I ask You by Your Names that knowledge, sanctity, honor and tranquility do not equal.

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ مَسَائِلِكَ بِمَا عَاهَدْتَ أَوْفَى الْعَهْدِ أَنْ تُجِيبَ سَائِلَكَ بِهَا

 

O' God! And I ask You by Your means of demand with which You have made the strongest covenants and those that You respond to if You are called by.

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِالْمَسْأَلَةِ الَّتِي أَنْتَ لَهَا أَهْلٌ

 

O' God! And I ask You by Your means of demand with which You deserve to be asked.

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِالْمَسْأَلَةِ الَّتِي تَقُولُ لِسَائِلِهَا وَ ذَاكِرِهَا سَلْ مَا شِئْتَ وَ قَدْ [فقد] وَجَبَتْ لَكَ الْإِجَابَةُ

 

O' God! And I ask You by the demand to which You respond, “Ask whatever you want and it is incumbent on Me to fulfill.”

 

يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِجُمْلَةِ مَا خَلَقْتَ مِنَ الْمَسَائِلِ الَّتِي لَا يَقْوَى بِحَمْلِهَا شَيْ‌ءٌ دُونَكَ

 

O' God! O' God! O' God! O' God! O' God! O' God! O' God! O' God! O‟ God! I ask You through all the demands that no one but You can tolerate.

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ مَسَائِلِكَ بِأَعْلَاهَا عُلُوّاً وَ أَرْفَعِهَا رِفْعَةً وَ أَسْنَاهَا ذِكْراً وَ أَسْطَعِهَا نُوراً وَ أَسْرَعِهَا نَجَاحاً وَ أَقْرَبِهَا إِجَابَةً وَ أَتَمِّهَا تَمَاماً وَ أَكْمَلِهَا كَمَالًا وَ كُلُّ مَسَائِلِكَ عَظِيمَةٌ

 

And I ask You by Your means of demand – the greatest of them, the highest of them, the ones most remembered, the ones with the most brilliance, the ones that are fastest to fulfill, the ones closest to be answered, the most perfect, the most complete while all Your means of demand are majestic!

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا لَا يَنْبَغِي أَنْ يُسْأَلَ بِهِ غَيْرُكَ مِنَ الْعَظَمَةِ وَ الْقُدْسِ وَ الْجَلَالِ وَ الْكِبْرِيَاءِ وَ الشَّرَفِ وَ النُّورِ وَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَ الْقُدْرَةِ وَ الْإِشْرَافِ وَ الْمَسْأَلَةِ وَ الْجُودِ وَ الْعَظَمَةِ وَ الْمَدْحِ وَ الْعِزِّ وَ الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ وَ الرَّوَاجِ وَ الْمَسَائِلِ الَّتِي بِهَا تُعْطِي مَنْ تُرِيدُ وَ بِهَا تُبْدِئُ وَ تُعِيدُ

 

O‟ God! I ask You by Your Names that nothing deserves to be called but You including Grandeur, Sanctity, Majesty, Magnificence, Honor , Light, Mercy, Power, Praise, Might, and Supreme Nobility.

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَسَائِلِكَ الْعَالِيَةِ الْبَيِّنَةِ الْمَحْجُوبَةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ دُونَكَ

 

O‟ God! I ask You by Your means of demand with which You bestow on anyone You wish, with which You start and end.

 

يَا اللَّهُ يَا عَظِيمُ يَا عَزِيزُ يَا كَرِيمُ يَا فَرْدُ يَا وَتْرُ يَا أَحَدُ يَا صَمَدُ

 

O' the One! O' the Odd! O' the One! O' Eternal, Absolute!

 

يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا رَحِيمُ أَسْأَلُكَ بِمُنْتَهَى أَسْمَائِكَ الَّتِي مَحَلُّهَا فِي نَفْسِكَ

 

O' God! O' Compassionate! O' Merciful! O' God! And I ask You through Your ultimate Names that are located deep within You! O‟ God! I ask You by Your sublime and clear means of demand that are veiled from everything but You.

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَسْمَائِكَ الْمَخْصُوصَةِيَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَسْمَائِكَ الْجَلِيلَةِ الْكَرِيمَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ يَا جَلِيلُ يَا جَمِيلُ

 

O‟ God! And I ask You by Your Especial Names.And I ask You by Your Names - the Most Majestic - the Benevolent - the Kind! O' the Glorious! O' the Elegant! O' God! O' the All-mighty! O' Exalted in Might! O' the All-Generous.

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا سَمَّيْتَهُ بِهِ نَفْسَكَ مِمَّا لَمْ يُسَمِّكَ بِهِ أَحَدٌ غَيْرُكَ

 

O' God! And I ask You through that by which You named Yourself with which no one but You is called!

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا لَا يُرَى مِنْ أَسْمَائِكَ

 

O' God! And I ask You by Your unseen names.

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ أَسْمَائِكَ مَا لَا يَعْلَمُهُ غَيْرُكَ

 

O' God! And I ask You by Your Names which no one but You know.

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا نَسَبْتَ إِلَيْهِ نَفْسَكَ مِمَّا تُحِبُّهُ

 

O' God! And I ask You by what You refer to Yourself from what You like!

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِجُمْلَةِ مَسَائِلِكَ الْكِبْرِيَاءَ وَ بِكُلِّ مَسْأَلَةٍ وَجَدْتُهَا حَتَّى يَنْتَهِيَ إِلَى الِاسْمِ الْأَعْظَمِ

 

O' God! And I ask You by all Your Magnificent Demands.And I ask You with all forms of demands that I know of so that the demand will reach Your Grand Name O' God! O' God! And I ask You by all Your Beautiful Names.

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَسْمَائِكَ الْحُسْنَى كُلِّهَا يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِكُلِّ اسْمٍ وَجَدْتُهُ حَتَّى يَنْتَهِيَ إِلَى الِاسْمِ الْأَعْظَمِ الْكَبِيرِ الْأَكْبَرِ الْعَلِيِّ الْأَعْلَى وَ هُوَ سْمُكَ الْكَامِلُ الَّذِي فَضَّلْتَهُ عَلَى جَمِيعِ مَا تُسَمِّي بِهِ نَفْسَكَ

 

And I ask You by all Names that I know of until we reach the Exalted, the Great, the Grand Name - The Highest High! That is Your Perfect Name that You have honored above all with which You named Yourself.

 

يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا رَحِيمُ أَدْعُوكَ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّ هَذِهِ الْأَسْمَاءِ وَ تَفْسِيرِهَا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَعْلَمُ تَفْسِيرَهَا أَحَدٌ غَيْرُكَ

 

O' God! O' God! O' God! O' God! O' God! O' God! O' God! O' God! O' God! O' Compassionate! O' Merciful! I call upon You.

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا لَا أَعْلَمُ وَ لَوْ عَلِمْتُهُ سَأَلْتُكَ بِهِ وَ بِكُلِّ اسْمٍ اسْتَأْثَرْتَ بِهِ فِي عِلْمِ الْغَيْبِ عِنْدَكَ

 

O' God! And I ask You for the sake of these Names and their interpretation that no one but You knows their true interpretation.

And I ask You by what I do not know and would still ask if I knew.I ask You by all the Names which You possess by Your Secret Knowledge.

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَ رَسُولِكَ وَ أَمِينِكَ عَلَى وَحْيِكَ

 

Please bestow Your Blessings on Your Prophet Muhammad (as)– the one entrusted with Your Revelations – and his Progeny (as)!

 

وَ أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي جَمِيعَ ذُنُوبِي وَ تَقْضِيَ لِي جَمِيعَ حَوَائِجِي وَ تُبَلِّغَنِي آمَالِي وَ تُسَهِّلَ لِي مَحَابِّي وَ تُيَسِّرَ لِي مُرَادِي وَ تُوصِلَنِي إِلَى بُغْيَتِي سَرِيعاً عَاجِلًا وَ تَرْزُقَنِي رِزْقاً وَاسِعاً وَ تُفَرِّجَ عَنِّي هَمِّي وَ غَمِّي وَ كَرْبِي يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

 

I ask You to forgive all my sins, fulfill all my needs, to realize all my hopes, to quickly get what I want.Please bestow me abundant sustenance. Please relieve me from my worries, grief and sorrow. O' the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful!"

 

اللَّهُمَّ ٱلْعَنْ قَتَلَةَ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ وأَوْلاَدِهِ وَأَصْحَابِ ه ِ

ahumal A'n qatalatal husayn wa awlaadihee wa ashaabihee

'O Allah condemn and lay a curse upon the killers of Husayn (as), his family and friends

 

فَیَا لَیْتَنِیْ کُنْتُ مَعَکُمْ فَاَفُوْزَ مَعَکُمْ فَوْزاً عَظِیْما

'Yaa Laytanee Kuntu Maakum Fa afoozo maakum Fawzan Azeema

'Would that we were with you So that we could also share the great accomplishment with you

and say :

اِنَّا لِله وَ اِنَّا اِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُوْنَ رِضًا بِقَضَاَئِهِ وَ تَسْلِيْمًا لِاَمْرِهِ

innaa lillaahi wa innaa ilayhi raaji-o ‘ona riz”an bi-qaz”aaa-iheewa tasleeman li-amrihee

Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return

Take a few steps forward and then retrace your steps to where you began 7 times.
Say the following while you are moving forward and backward seven times:

اَللّٰهُمَّ عَذِّبِ الْـفَجَرَةَ الَّذِيْنَ شَاقُّوْا رَسُوْلَـكَ وَ حَارَبُوْا اَوْلِيَآئَكَ وَ عَبَدُوْا غَيْرَكَ وَ اسْتَحَلُّوْا مَـحَارَمَكَ وَ الْعَنِ الْقَادَةَ وَ الْاَتْبَاعَ وَ مَنْ كَانَ مِنْهُمْ فَخَبَّ وَ اَوْضَعَ مَعَهُمْ اَوْرَضِىَ بِفِعْلِهِمْ لَعْنًا كَثِيْرًا

ahumma a’d’d’ibil fajaratal lad’eena shaaqqoo rasoolaka wa h’aaraboo awliyaaa-ika wa a’badoo ghayraka was-tah’alloo muh’aaramaka wal-a’nil qaadata wal atbaa-a’ wa man kaana minhum fa-khabbawa awz”a-a’ma-a’hum aw raz”iya bi-fia’-lihim laa’- nan katheeraa

O Allah! Condemn and punish the licentious profligates who make the life of Thy Messenger miserable; and waged was against Thy close friends, and worshipped others, (but ) not Thee, deemed lawful (that which) Thou had forbidden, bring a curse upon their leaders, followers, on those who were in them, secretly or distinctly were hand in glove with them, or condoning their (mis) deeds. A great many curses

Verily we are Allah’s and verily unto Him we return. We are happy with His will and carry out His command
Then go back to your place where you are standing and recite this dua:

اَللّٰهُمَّ وَ عَجِّلْ فَرَجَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاجْعَلْ صَلَوَاتِكَ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَاسْتَـنْقِذْهُمْ مِنْ اَيْدِى الْـمُنَافِقِيْنَ الْـمُضِلِّيْنَ وَ الْكَفَرَةِ الْـجَاحِدِيْنَ وَافْتَحْ لَـهُمْ فَتْحًا يَّسِيْرًا وَ اَتِحْ لَـهُمْ رَوْحًا وَ فَرَجًا قَرِيْبًا وَاجْعَلْ لَهُمْ مِنْ لَّدُنْكَ عَلٰى عَدُوِّكَ وَ عَدُوِّهِمْ سُلْطٰنًا نَّصِيْرًا

aahumma wa a’jjil faraja aali muh’ammad waj-a’l s’alawaatika a’layhi wa a’layhim was-tanqid’hum min aydil munaafiqeenal muz”illeena wal kafaratil jaahi’ideena waftah’ lahum fath’an yaseeraa wa atih’ lahum rawh’an wa farajan qareebaa waj-a’l lahum min ladunka a’laa a’duwwika wa a’duwwihim sut’aanan nas’eeraa

O my Allah, bid to bring joy and happiness quickly for “Aali Muhammad”, (the children of Muhammad), bestow Thy blessings on him and on them, save them from the dangerous clutches of the undercover two-timers, and the obstinate disbelievers; open for them the doors of “the beginning”, a facility to put in practice gentleness, kindness and fairplay; create favorable conditions for them to make life full of love and thought, cheerful, free of care, as early as possible, on Thy authority let them have full control over Thy enemies, to help, rescue and defend (mank

 

اللَّهُمَّ ٱلْعَنْ قَتَلَةَ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ وأَوْلاَدِهِ وَأَصْحَابِ ه ِ

ahumal A'n qatalatal husayn wa awlaadihee wa ashaabihee

'O Allah condemn and lay a curse upon the killers of Husayn (as), his family and friends

 

فَیَا لَیْتَنِیْ کُنْتُ مَعَکُمْ فَاَفُوْزَ مَعَکُمْ فَوْزاً عَظِیْما

'Yaa Laytanee Kuntu Maakum Fa afoozo maakum Fawzan Azeema

'Would that we were with you So that we could also share the great accomplishment with you

and say :

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّ كَثِيْرًا مِّنَ الْاُمَّةِ نَاصَبَتِ الْـمُسْتَحْفِظِيْنَ مِنَ الْاَئِمَّة

 

O my Allah! Indeed a great many among the people declared war, laid traps and intrigued against the careful and gentle guardians who observed and fulfilled the duty.

 

وَ كَفَرَتْ بِالْـكَلِمَةِ وَ عَكَفَتْ عَلَى الْقَادَةِ الظَّلَمَةِ وَ هَجَرَتِ الْكِتَابَ وَ السُّنَّةَ وَ عَدَلَتْ عَنِ الْـحَبْلَيْنِ الَّذَيْنِ اَمَرْتَ بِطَاعَتِهِمَا وَ التَّمَسُّكِ بِهِمَا فَاَمَاتَتِ الْـحَقَّ وَ حَادَتْ عَنِ الْقَصْدِ وَمَالَأَتِ الْاَحْزَابَ وَ حَرَّفَتِ الْـكِتَابَ وَ كَفَرَتْ بِالـحَقِّ لَـمَّا جَائَهَا وَ تَـمَسَّكَتْ بِالْبَاطِلِ لَـمَّا اعْتَرَضَهَا وَ ضَيَّعَتْ حَقَّكَ وَ اَضَلَّتْ خَلْقَكَ وَ قَتَلَتْ اَوْلاَدَ نَبِيِّكَ وَخِيَرَةَ عِبَادِكَ وَ حَـمَلَةَ عِلْمِكَ وَ وَرَثَةَ حِكْمَتِكَ وَ وَحْيِكَ

 

The ungratefuls (the said opponents) renounced the faith and did not, in fact, believe in the “Kalimah”; attached themselves to the trend setters of disorder and tyranny; disowned and gave up the Book and the (Divine) rule of life; swerved from and angled off the two strings which according to Thy commandment, (they) should have held fast and stuck close by; undermined and twisted the truth; Went, away from the real purpose, in the opposite direction ; encouraged partisanship; Altered and falsified the Book; refused to believe in the evident proof and rightful claim, whenever confronted face to face; chose falsehood, whenever came across; lost their way and corrupted Thy laws, Islam; led people astray; killed the children of Thy Prophet, Thy liberal highminded servants, bearers of Thy knowledge, inheritors of Thy wisdom and revelation, the Book

 

اَللّٰهُمَّ فَزَلْزِلْ اَقْدَامَ اَعْدَآئِكَ وَ اَعْدَآءِ رَسُوْلِكَ وَ اَهْلِ بَيْتِ رَسُوْلِكَ

 

O my Allah, upset and overturn the plan and movement of Thy enemies, (who are also) the enemies of Thy Messenger and the children of Thy Messenger.

 

اَللّٰهُمَّ وَ اَخْرِبْ دِيَارَهُمْ وَافْلُلْ سِلاَحَهُمْ وَ خَالِفْ بَيْنَ كَلِمَتِهِمْ وَفُتَّ فِىْ اَعْضَادِهِمْ وَ اَوْ هِنْ كَيْدَهُمْ وَ اضْرِبْهُمْ بِسَيْفِكَ الْقَاطِعِ وَارْمِهِمْ بِـحَجَرِكَ الدَّامِغِ وَ طُمَّهُمْ بِالْبَلَآءِ طَمًّا وَ قُمَّهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ قَمًّا وَ عَذِّبْهُمْ عَذَابًا نُكْرًا وَ خُذْهُمْ بِالسِّنِيْنَ وَ الْـمُثَلاَتِ الَّتِىْ اَهْلَـكْتَ بِهَا اَعْدَآئَكَ اِنَّكَ ذُوْ نِقْمَةٍ مِّنَ الْـمُجْرِمِيْنَ

 

O my Allah, put a stop to the spread of their sphere of influence; make their equipment and men unserviceable, their expression confused and contradictory; break up their support; crack up their strategy; lay hold upon them, hit and cut off by Thy one sharp strike; throw them down, frightened by Thy hard unnerving barrier, bury them under the swallowing mud of disasters; let them be mean and contemptible under the yoke of despise-able penance; bring them to book and let them have the taste of a hard and sharp retribution; fester them with definite and exemplary punishment, as Thou wipes out Thy enemies; it is beyond the shadow of doubt that Thou cracks down upon the criminals.

 

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّ سُنَّتَكَ ضَآئِعَةٌ وَ اَحْكَامَكَ مُعَطَّلَةٌ وَ عِتْرَةَ نَبِيِّكَ فِى الْاَرْضِ هَآئِمَةٌ

 

O my Allah, the way of life approved by Thee has been tossed aside; Thy code of law has been suspended; and the descendents of the Prophet, in this world, had been tormented.

 

اَللّٰهُمَّ فَاَعِنِ الْـحَقَّ وَ اَهْلَهٗ وَ اَقْمَعِ الْبَاطِلَ وَ اَهْلَهٗ وَ مُنَّ عَلَيْنَا بِالنَّجَاةِ وَاهْدِنَا اِلَى الْاِيْـمَانِ وَ عَجِّلْ فَرَجَنَا وَانْظِمْهُ بِفَرَجِ اَوْلِيَآئِكَ وَاجْعَلْهُمْ لَنَاوُدًّا وَاجْعَلْنَا لَـهُمْ وَفْدًا

 

O my Allah, Therefore give all Thy attention and care to signify truth, and the upholders of truth; restrain and prevent falsehood, and the camp-followers of false-hood, and take us to safety as a favour; guide us to true faith; make available for us, as soon as possible, happiness and bliss, bring everything in to good order through the inspiring presence of Thy representatives; make us desire and love them , make them receive us with open arms.

 

اَللّٰهُمَّ وَ اَهْلِكْ مَنْ جَعَلَ يَوْمَ قَتْلِ ابْنِ نَبِيِّكَ وَ خِيَرَتِكَ عِيْدًا وَاسْتَهَلَّ بِهٖ فَرَجًا وَ مَرَحًا وَخُذْ اٰخِرَهُمْ كَمَا اَخَذْتَ اَوَّلَـهُمْ وَ ضَاعِفِ

 

O my Allah, bring to nothing those who celebrate the day the choicest (grand) son of Thy Prophet was martyred, in cheerful amusement; laugh and enjoy in utter delight and indulge in wanton boisterous merriment; catch hold of and punish each one of the remaining, just as Thou cracked down on the early (culprits); make twice as much the penalty,

 

اللّٰهُمَّ الْعَذَابَ وَ التَّنْكِيْلَ عَلٰى ظَالِـمِىْ اَهْلِ بَيْتِ نَبِيِّكَ وَ اَهْلَكْ اَشْيَاعَهُمْ وَ قَادَتَـهُمْ وَ اَبْرِحُـمَاتَـهُمْ وَ جَـمَاعَتَهُمْ

 

O my Allah, and punishment, a warning example, (while convicting the tyrants who took liberties with and abused the children of Thy Prophet; give the earth blow to their henchmen, put an end to their headmen, wipe out their patrons and their groups altogether.

 

اَللّٰهُمَّ وَضَاعِفْ صَلَوَاتِكَ وَ رَحْـمَتِكَ وَ بَرَكَاتِكَ عَلٰى عِتْرَةِ نَبِيِّكَ الْعِتْرَةِ الضَّائِعَةِ الْـخَآئِفَةِ الْمُسْتَذَلَّةِ بَقِيَّةٍ مِّنَ الشَّجَرَةِ الطَّيِّبَةِ الزَّاكِيَةِ الْمُبَارَكَةِ وَ اَعْلِ

 

O my Allah, multiply Thy blessings generously, Thy mercy liberally, Thy favours like a windfall, (thou bestows) upon the children of Thy Prophet, who Thy enemies tried to ignore, frighten and corner, the children who are the blooming pride of the fragrant strongly grown and fertile tree.

 

اَللّٰهُمَّ كَلِمَتَهُمْ وَ اَفْلِجْ حُجَّتَهُمْ وَاكْشِفِ الْبَلَآءَ وَ اللَّاوَآءَ وَحَنَادِسَ الْاَبَاطِيْلِ وَ الْعَمٰى عَنْهُمْ وَ ثَبِّتْ قُلُوْبَ شِيْعَتِهِمْ وَ حِزْبِكَ عَلٰى طَاعَتِكَ وَ وِلاَيَتِهِمْ وَ نُصْرَتـِهِمْ وَ مُوَالاَتِـهِمْ وَ اَعِنْهُمْ وَامْنَحْهُمُ الصَّبْرَ عَلَى الْاَذٰى فِيْكَ وَاجْعَلْهُمْ اَيَّامًا مَّشْهُوْدَةً وَ اَوْقَاتًا مَّـحْمُوْدَةً مَّسْعُوْدَةً

 

Let people subscribe to and uphold,O my Allah, their expressed refined (thoughts), and get the better of the antagonists in debate and disputations through their arguments, put the dark clouds of trouble, distress nothingness and ignorance, to flight, through (on account of) them, make firm and strong the hearts and minds of their followers (to know things for certain and give correct answers), to belong to Thy party, obedient to Thee; to love them; to support them ; stand by them, signify them; they exercised self-control whenever they put up with damage and injury in Thy cause; bring in, for them, the days, people will see them and find them among themselves to pronounce the profession of true faith, a blissful and happy time;

 

تُوْشِكُ فِيْهَا فَرَجَهُمْ وَ تُوْجِبُ فِيْهَا تَـمْكِيْنَهُمْ وَ نَصْرَهُمْ كَمَا ضَمِنْتَ لِاَوْلِيٰآئِكَ فِىْ كِتَابِكَ الْـمُنْزَلِ فَاِنَّكَ قُلْتَ وَ قَوْلُكَ الْـحَقُّ وَعَدَ اللهُ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا مِنْكُمْ وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِى الْاَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ وَ لَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَـهُمْ دِيْنَهُمُ الَّذِى ارْتَضٰى لَـهُمْ وَ لَيُبَدِّلَـنَّهُمْ مِّنْۢ بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ اَمْنًا يَّعْبُدُوْنَنِىْ لاَ يُشْرِكُوْنَ بِىْ شَيْئًا

 

Be quick in providing relief and joy, after a long period of suffering (to them and us), on account of their presence; bring on their worthy, decent and refined sphere of influence; and support them as Thou has given a guarantee in this connection in Thy revealed Book; Thou said, (and Thy words are always true): Allah has promised such of you as believe and do good deed that He will surely appoint them successors in the earth, as He appointed successors those before them, and that He will surely establish for them Their religion which He has chosen for them, and surely He will give them in exchange safety after their fear. Thy (shall) ascribe nothing as partner unto Me

 

اَللّٰهُمَّ فَاكْشِفْ غُمَّتَهُمْ يَا مَنْ لاَّ يَـمْلِكُ كَشْفَ الضُّرِّ اِلاَّ هُوَ يَا وَاحِدُ يَا اَحَدُ يَا حَىُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ

 

O my Allah! Therefore disperse the dark clouds hanging over them, no one has power to keep safe from pair and distress save He, O Unique ! O Single ! O Everliving ! O Self-subsisting!

 

وَاَنَا يَا اِلٰـهِىْ عَبْدُكَ الْـخَآئِفُ مِنْكَ وَالرَّاجِعُ اِلَيْكَ السَّآئِلُ لَكَ الْـمُقْبِلُ عَلَيْكَ اللَّاجِئُ اِلٰى فِنَآئِكَ الْعَالِمُ بِاَنَّهٗ لاَ مَلْجَأَ مِنْكَ اِلاَّ اِلَيْكَ

 

I, O my Allah, Thy bondman, cautions and (always) aware of Thy just requital, turn to Thee with a request, standing before Thee, to seek the favour of taking refuge with Thee, in Thy courtyard, fully aware of the fact that there is no way to run away from Thee except unto Thee.

 

اَللّٰهُمَّ فَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَآئِىْ وَاسْـمَعْ يَا اِلٰـهِىْ عَلاَنِيَـتِـىْ وَ نَـجْوَاىَ وَاجْعَلْنِىْ مِـمَّنْ رَضِيْتَ عَمَلَهٗ وَقَبِلْتَ نُسُكَهٗ وَ نَـجَّيْتَهٗ بِرَحْـمَتِكَ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْكَرِيْمُ

 

O my Allah, accede to my request, take notice of my positive statement and heartfelt secret avowal,O my Allah, and let me be the one whose conduct satisfies Thee, (whose) pious life devoted to Thee receives Thy approval, (whom) Thou brings to a place of safety through Thy mercy; verily Thou art rare, dear and beloved (because of ) Thy kindness.

 

اَللّٰهُمَّ وَ صَلِّ اَوَّلاً وَ اٰخِرًا عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ بَارِكْ عَلىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَارْحَمْ مُحَمَّدًا وَّ اٰلَ مُحَمَّدٍ بِاَكْمَلِ وَ اَفْضَلِ مَا صَلَّيْتَ وَ بَارَكْتَ وَ تَرَحَّـمْتَ عَلٰى اَنْبِيَآئِكَ وَ رُسُلِكَ وَ مَلَآئِكَتِكَ وَ حَـمَلَةِ عَرْشِكَ بِلَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّآ اَنْتَ

 

O my Allah, send blessings, in the beginning and at the end, on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad; keep at peace at all times, Muhammad and the children of Muhammad, let Thy love and tenderness always envelop Muhammad and the children of Muhammad, more thoroughly and decisively than Thou had blessed, kept at peace and loved Thy Prophets, Messengers, Angels and the bearers of Thy Arsh, in the name of and for the sake of “LAA ILAAHA ILLAA ANTA”.

 

اَللّٰهُمَّ لاَ تُفَرِّقْ بَيْنِىْ وَ بَيْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَاجْعَلْنِىْ يَا مَوْلاَىَ مِنْ شِيْعَةِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّعَلِىٍّ وَّ فَاطِمَةَ وَ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ ذُرِّيَّتِهِمِ الطَّاهِرَةِ الْـمُنْتَجَبَةِ وَهَبْ لِىَ التَّمَسُّكَ بِـحَبْلِهِمْ وَ الرِّضَا بِسَبِيْلِهِمْ وَ الْاَخْذَ بِطَرِيْقَتِهِمْ اِنَّكَ جَوَادٌ كَرِيْمٌ

 

O my Allah, let there be no separation (ever) between me and Muhammad and the children of Muhammad, Thy blessings be on him and them; let me be one among the friends and followers of Muhammad, Ali, Fatimah, Hasan and Husayn, and their pure and select descendants; give me the insight to cling to their friendship, and be always ready to walk with them, and make use of their life style; Verily Thou art liberal, Generous and Kind,
Now go into prostration (Sijdah), keep either side of your face on the earth, one after the other, and say:

 

يَا مَنْ يَحْكُمُ مَا يَشَآءُ وَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يُرِيْدُ اَنْتَ حَكَمْتَ فَلَكَ الْـحَمْدُ مَـحْمُوْدًا مَّشْكُوْرً

 

O He who decrees that which He wills, does that which He wants. It is Thou who possesses and exercises absolute power; therefore (all) praise is for Thee (only); (Thou alone art) the praiseworthy, the thankworthy.

 

ا فَعَجِّلْ يَا مَوْلاَىَ فَرَجَهُمْ وَ فَرَجَنَابِهِمْ فَاِنَّكَ ضَمِنْتَ اِعْزَازَهُمْ بَعْدَ الذِّلَّةِ وَ تَكْثِيْرَهُمْ بَعْدَ الْقِلَّةِ وَ اِظْهَارَهُمْ بَعْدَ الْخُمُوْلِ يَا اَصْدَقَ الصَّادِقِيْنَ وَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِـمِيْن

 

O my Master, let them have a life full of love and peace, and let us share the harmony and bliss with them, because Thou has given a guarantee to put them on the highest pedestal of love, honour and wisdom, after the severest trial and tribulation, to do too much for them , exceeding all bounds, after they had put up with the worldly minimum (in Thy cause), to make them distinct and evident after (Thy enemies) kept them in obscurity, O the Most Truthful ! O the Most Merciful!

 

فَاَسْئَلُكَ يَا اِلٰـهِىْ وَ سَيِّدِىْ مُتَضَرِّعًا اِلَيْكَ بِـجُوْدِكَ وَ كَرَمِكَ بَسْطَ اَمَلِىْ وَ تَـجَاوُزَ عَنِّىْ وَ قَبُوْلَ قَلِيْلِ عَمَلِىْ وَ كَثِيْرِهٖ وَ الزِّيَادَةَ فِىْ اَيَّامِىْ وَ تَبْلِيْغِىْ ذٰلِكَ الْـمَشْهَدَ وَ اَنْ تَـجْعَلَنِىْ مِـمَّنْ يُدْعٰى فَيُجِيْبُ اِلٰى طَاعَتِهِمْ وَ مُوَالاَتِـهِمْ وَ نَصْرِهِمْ وَ تُرِيَنِىْ ذٰلِكَ قَرِيْبًا سَرِيْعًا فِىْ عَافِيَةٍ اِنَّكَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ.

 

I beseech Thee, O my Lord, and Master, humble and weak before Thee, to throw wide open doors of Thy generosity and kindness to let my hope (of fulfillment of heart’s desires) come true, and get and gather what I want in surplus; and make valid my deeds, whether insignificant looking or weighty, prolong my days until I am satisfied with being an eye-witness, and give testimony, and be among those who are called upon, so run to obey them, love them and support them (the descendents of the Holy Prophet); Make me see that very soon, close at hand, in good health sound mind and with believing heart. Verily Thou art able to do all thingsRaise your head, look towards the sky and say:

 

اَعُوْذُبِكَ اَنْ اَكُوْنَ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ لاَ يَرْجُوْنَ اَيَّامَكَ فَاَعِذْنِىْ يَا اِلَهِىْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنْ ذلِكَ

A-o'ozo beka an akoona menal lazeena laa yarjoona ayyaamaka fa-a-i'znee yaa elaahee be-rahmateka min zaaleka.

In Thee do I seek refuge that I should be among those who hope not for Thy “Days”, so make me full well and be there, O my Master, through Thy mercy, in that time.

 

 

Allaahumma inna kaseeram menal ummate naasebatil mustahfezeena menal a-immate wa kafarat bil-kalemate wa a'kafat a'lal qaadatiz zalamate wa hajaratil ketaaba was-sunnata wa a'dalat a'nil hablaynil lazayne amarta be-taa-a'tehemaa wat-tamassoke behemaa fa-amaatatil haqqa wa haadat a'nil qasde wa mala-atil ahzaaba wa harrafatil ketaaba wa kafarat bilhaqqe lammaa jaa-ahaa wa tamassakat bilbaatele lammaa a'tarazahaa wa zayya-a't haqqaka wa azallat khalqaka wa qatalat awlaada Nabiyyeka wa kheyarata e'baadeka wa hamalata i'lmeka wa warasata hikmateka wa wahyek.

 

Transliteration

 

Allaahumma fazalzil aqdaama a-a'daaa-eka wa a-a'daaa-e Rasooleka wa Ahle Bayte rasoolek.

 

 

 

Allaahumma wa akhrib deyaarahum waflul selaahahum wa khaalif bayna kalematehim wa futta fee a-a'zaadehim wa awhin kaydahum waz-ribhum besayfekal qaate-e' warmehim behajarekad daameghe wa tummahum bilbalaaa-e tamman, wa qummahum bil-a'zaabe qamman, wa a'zzibhum a'zaaban nukran, wa khuzhum bis-seneena wal mosalaatil latee ahlakta behaa a-a'daaa-aka innaka zoo nikmatim menal mujremeena.

 

 

 

Allaahumma inna sunnataka zaaa-e-a'tun wa ahkaamaka mo-a'ttalahun wa i'trata Nabiyyeka fil arze haaa-emaa.

 

 

 

Allaahumma fa-a-i'nil haqqa wa ahlahu wa aqmai'l baatela wa ahlahu wa munna a'laynaa bin-najaate wahdenaa elal eemaane wa a'jjil farajanaa wan-zimho befaraje awleyaaa-eka waj-a'lhum lanaa wuddan waj-a'lnaa lahum wafdan.

 

 

 

Allaahumma wa ahlik man ja-a'la yawma qatlibne Nabiyyeka wa kheyarateka e'edan wastahala behi farajan wa marahan wa khuz aakherahum kamaa a-khazta awwalahum wa zaa-e'fil laahummal a'zaaba wat-tankeela a'laa zaalemee Ahle Bayte Nabiyyeka wa Ahlak ashyaa-a'hum wa qaadatahum wa abre homaatahum wa jamaa-a'tahum. Allaahumma wa zaa-i'f salawaaateka wa rahmateka wa barakaateka a'laa I'trate Nabiyyekal I'tratiz zaa-e-a'til khaaa-efatil mustazillate baqiyyatim menash shajaratit tayyebatiz zaakeyatil mobaarakate wa a-a'lil laahumma kalematahum wa aflij hujjatahum wak-shefil balaaa-a wal-laawaa-a wa hanaadesal abaateele wal-a'maa a'nhum wa sabbit qolooba shee-a'tehim wa hizbeka a'laa taa-a'teka wa welaayatehim wa nusratehim wa mowaadaatehim wa a-i'nhum wam-nah-homus sabra a'lal azaa feeka waj-a'lhum ayyaamam mash-hoodatan wa awqaatam mahmoodatam mas-o'odatam toosheko feehaa farajahum wa toojebo feehaa tamkeenahum wa nasrahum kamaa zaminta le-awleyaaa-eka fee ketaabekal munzale fa-innaka qulta wa qawlokal haqqo wa-a'dal laahul lazeena aamanoo minkum wa a'melus saalehaate layastakhlef annahum fil arze kamas takhlafal lazeena min qablehim wa layomakkenanna lahum deenahomul lazeer tazaa lahum wa layobaddelannahum mim ba'de khawfehim amnayn ya'bodoonanee laa yushrekoona bee shay-an. Allaahumma fakshif ghummatahum yaa mal laa yamleko kashfiz zurre illaa howa yaa waahedo yaa ahado yaa hayyo yaa qayyoomo wa anaa yaa elaahi a'bdokal khaaa-efo minka war-raaje-o' elaykas saa-elo lakal muqbelo a'laykal laaje-o elaa fenaaa-ekal a'alemo be-annahu laa mal-ja-a minka illaa elayka. Allaahumma fataqabbal do-a'aa-ee was-ma' yaa elaahee a'laaneyatee wa najwaaya waj-a'lnee mimman razeeta a'malahu wa qabilta nosokahu wa najjaytahu be-rahmateka innaka antal a'zeezul kareemo. Allaahumma wa salle awwalan wa aakheran a'laa Mohammadiwn wa aale Mohammadin war-ham Mohammadawn wa aala Mohammadin be-akmale wa afzale maa sallayta wa baarakta wa tarahhamta a'laa ambeyaaa-eka wa Rosoleka wa malaaa-ekateka wa hamalate a'rsheka be-laa elaaha illaa anta.

 

 

 

Allaahumma laa tofarriq baynee wa bayna Mohammadiwn wa aale Mohammadin salawaatoka a'layhe wa a'layhim waj-a'lnee yaa mawlaaya min shee-a'te Mohammadiwn wa A'liyyin wa Faatemata wal-Hasane wal-Husaine wa zurriyyatehemat taaheratil muntajabate wa hab leyat tamassoka behablehim war-rezaa be-sabeelehim wal-akhza betareeqatehim innaka jawaadun kareemun.

 

 

 

Yaa man yahkomo maa yashaaa-o wa yaf-a'lo maa yoreedo anta hakamta falakal hamdo ma mahmoodam mashkooran fa-a'jjil yaa mawlaaya farajahum wafarajanaa behim fa-innaka zaminta e-a'zaazahum ba'daz zillate wa takseerahum ba'dal qillate wa izhaarahum ba'dal khomoole yaa asdaqas saadeqeena wa yaa arhamar raahemeena fa-as-aloka yaa elaahee wa sayyedee motazarre-a'n elayka bejoodeka wa karameka basta amalee wa tajaawoza a'nnee wa qaboola qaleele a'malee wa kaseerehi waz-zeyaadata fee ayyaamee wa tableeghee zaalekal mash-hada wa an taj-a'lanee mimman yud-a' fa-yojeebo elaa taa-a'tehim wa mowaalaatehim wa nasrehim wa toreyanee zaaleka qareeban saree-a'n fee a'afeyatin innaka a'laa kulle shay-in qadeerun.

 

SAJDA Now go into prostration (Sijdah), keep either side of your face on the earth, one after the other, and say:

 

 

 

The Shi'ah should not eat or drink anything on this day (until late afternoon). This is not a fast and thus should not be kept with the intention of fasting.

اللهم إننا أمسكنا عن المأكول و المشروب حيث كان أهل النبوة في الحروب و الكروب و أما حيث حضر وقت انتقالهم بالشهادة إلى دار البقاء و ظفروا بمراتب الشهداء و السعداء و دخلوا تحت بشارات الآيات بقولك جل جلالك‌

 

"O' my God! We stopped eating and drinking since the family of the Prophet were fighting and in grief. But now it is time for their martyrdom and their transfer to the everlasting world having attained ranks of prosperity and martyrdom." They are covered by the glad tidings of the following verses,

You should also recite the following

وَ لا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْواتاً بَلْ أَحْياءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ فَرِحِينَ بِما آتاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ وَ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَلْحَقُوا بِهِمْ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلَّا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَ لا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ‌

 

"So (give) glory to God!, when ye reach eventide and when ye rise in the morning; Yea, to Him be praise, in the heavens and on earth; and in the late afternoon and when the day begins to decline. It is He Who brings out the living from the dead, and brings out the dead from the living, and Who gives life to the earth after it is dead: and thus shall ye be brought out (from the dead)

 

فنحن لهم موافقون فنتناول الطعام الآن حيث إنهم يرزقون في ديار الرضوان مواساة لهم في الإمساك و الإطلاق فاجعل ذلك سببا لعتق الأعناق و اللحاق لهم في درجات الصالحين برحمتك يا أرحم الراحمين.

 

We agree with them and eat food now that they are being fed in the House of Pleasure to be supportive of them. Let this be a cause of freeing of our necks and joining them in the ranks of the righteous by Your Mercy! 0' the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful!"

 

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ

Subhaanal laahe

Glory be to God

 

وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ

wal-hamdo lillaahe

and Praise be to Him.

 

وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ

wa laa elaaha illal laaho

There is no god but God.

 

وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ

wal laaho Akbaro

And God is the Great.

 

وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaahil

There is no change nor any strength except by God –

 

الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ

A'liyyil a'zeem

the Sublime, the Supreme.

 

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ‌

subhaanal laahe aanaa-il layle

Glory be to God in the midst of nights

 

وَأَطْرَافَ النَّهَارِ

wa atraafan nahaare

or the ends of days.

 

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ‌ بِالْغُدُوِّ

subhaanal laahe bil-ghoduwwe

Glory be to God in the mornings

 

وَالْآصَالِ‌

wal-aasaale

and in the evenings.

 

وَسُبْحَانَ‌ اللَّهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ

Subhaanal laahe heena tumsoona

So (give) glory to God!, when ye reach eventide

 

وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ

wa heena tusbehoon

and when ye rise in the morning;

 

وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ

wa lahul hamdo fis samaawaate

Yea, to Him be praise, in the heavens

 

وَالْأَرْضِ

wal arze

and on earth;

 

وَعَشِيًّا

wa a'shiyyan

and in the late afternoon

 

وَحِينَ تُظْهِرُونَ

wa heena tuzheroona

and when the day begins to decline.

 

يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ

yukhrejul hayya menal mayyte

It is He Who brings out the living from the dead,

 

وَيُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ

wa yukhrejul mayyeta menal hayye

and brings out the dead from the living,

 

وَيُحْيِ الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا

wa yohil arza ba'da mawtehaa

and Who gives life to the earth after it is dead:

 

وَكَذَلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ‌

wa kazaaleka tukhrajoon

and thus shall ye be brought out (from the dead).

 

سُبْحَانَ‌ [اللَّهِ‌] رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ

Subhaana rabbeka rabbil i'zzate

Glory be to Your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power!

 

عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ

a'mmaa yasefoon

(He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)!

 

وَسَلَامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ

wa salaamun a'lal mursaleena

And Peace on the apostles!

 

وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ‌

wal-hamdo lillaahe rabbil a'alameen

And Praise be to God!, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds.

 

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي

Alhamdo lillaahil lazee

Praise be to God!,

 

لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا

lam yattakhiz waladan

who begets no son,

 

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ

wa lam yakul lahu shareekun

and has no partner

 

فِي الْمُلْكِ

fil mulke

in (His) dominion:

 

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ

wa lam yakul lahu waliyyum

Nor (needs) He any

 

مِنَ الذُّلِّ

menaz zulle

to protect Him from humiliation:

 

وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيرًا

wa kabirho takbeeraa

yea, magnify Him for His greatness and glory!

 

عَدَدَ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ

a'dada kulle shay-in

Praise as many in number as there are things,

 

وَمِلْأَ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ

wa mil-a kulle shayin

as much as it fills everything,

 

وَزِنَةَ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ

wa zenata kulle shay-in

as heavy as all things,

 

وَأَضْعَافَ ذَلِكَ

wa az-a'afa zaaleka

and many times more than this –

 

أَضْعَافًا مُضَاعَفَةً

mozaa-a'fatan

so much that it suits His Grandeur.

 

أَبَدًا سَرْمَدًا

abadan sarmadan

everlasting, eternal,

 

كَمَا يَنْبَغِي لِعَظَمَتِهِ

kamaa yanbaghi le-a'zamatehi

as it befits His Grandeur.

 

سُبْحَانَ ذِي الْمُلْكِ

subhaana zil mulke

Glory be to Lord of Sovereignty

 

وَالْمَلَكُوتِ

wal malakoote

and Kingdom!

 

سُبْحَانَ ذِي الْعِزِّ

subhaana zili'zzate

Glory be to the Lord of Honor

 

وَالْجَبَرُوتِ

wal jabaroote

and Omnipotence.

 

سُبْحَانَ الْحَيِّ الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ

subhaanal hayyil lazee laa yamooto

Glory be to the Everlasting who shall not perish!

 

سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ

subhaanal malekil quddoos

Glory be to the Sovereign, the Holy One!

 

سُبْحَانَ الْقَائِمِ الدَّائِمِ

Subhaanal qaa-emid daa-eme

Glory be to the Upright! The Perpetual!

 

سُبْحَانَ الْحَيِّ الْقَيُّومِ

subhaanal hayyil qayyoom

Glory be to the Living, the Self-Subsisting!

 

سُبْحَانَ الْعَلِيِّ الْأَعْلَى

subhaanal a'liyyil a-a'laa

Glory be to the Highest High, the Glorified and Sublime!

 

سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى

subhaanahu wa ta-a'alaa

Glory be to Him, the Exalted!

 

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ

subhaanal laahe subboohun quddooson

Glory be to God – Sacred, Holy,

 

رَبُّ الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالرُّوحِ

rabbul malaaa-ekate war-rooh

Lord of the angels and the Spirit!

 

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَصْبَحْتُ فِي مِنَّةٍ

Allaahumma innee asbahto fee minnatin

O' my God! I made it to the morning honored,

 

وَنِعْمَةٍ وَعَافِيَةٍ

wa ne'matin wa a'afeyatin

blessed and in good health.

 

فَأَتْمِمْ عَلَيَّ نِعْمَتَكَ

Fa-atmim a'layya ne'matak

O' God! Please perfect Your Blessings,

 

يَا اللَّهُ وَمَنَّكَ

Yaa Allaaho wa mannaka

Favor

 

وَعَافِيَتَكَ

wa a'afeyataka

and Well-being for me.

 

وَارْزُقْنِي شُكْرَكَ

war zuqnee shukraka

O' God! Please bless me with Your Gratitude.

 

اللَّهُمَّ بِنُورِ وَجْهِكَ

Allaahumma be-noore wajhekah

O' my God! I was guided by the Light of Your Face,

 

اهْتَدَيْتُ

taddayto

and became guided.

 

وَبِفَضْلِكَ اسْتَغْنَيْتُ

wa be-fazlekas taghnayto

and became needless by Your Bounties.

 

وَبِنِعْمَتِكَ أَصْبَحْتُ

wa be-ne'mateka asbahto

I made it to the morning

 

وَأَمْسَيْتُ

wa amsayto

and the evening by Your Blessings!

 

أَصْبَحْتُ أُشْهِدُكَ

asbahto ush-hedoka

O' my God! I take You as witness.

 

وَكَفَى بِكَ شَهِيدًا

wa kafaa beak shaheedan

You suffice as a witness for me.

 

وَأُشْهِدُ مَلَائِكَتَكَ

wa ush-hedo malaaa-ekataka

I take Your angels,

 

وَحَمَلَةَ عَرْشِكَ

wa hamalata a'rsheka

the carriers of Your Throne,

 

وَجَمِيعَ خَلْقِكَ

wa jamee-a' khalqeka

all Your creatures,

 

وَسَمَاءَكَ وَأَرْضَكَ

wa samaaa-aka wa arzaka

Your Heaven and Earth,

 

وَجَنَّتَكَ وَنَارَكَ

wa jannataka wa naaraka

Your Paradise and Hell.

 

بِأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ

be-annaka antal laaho

I bear witness to You as there is no God but You.

 

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

laa elaaha illaa anta

You are the Only

 

وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ

wahdaka laa shareeka laka

who has no associate.

 

وَأَنَّ مَا دُونَ عَرْشِكَ

wa anna maa doona a'rsheka

I bear witness that any creatures

 

إِلَى قَرَارِ أَرْضِكَ

elaa qaraare arzeka

from the heavens or the earth

 

مِنْ مَعْبُودٍ دُونَكَ

min ma'boodin doonaka

are doomed to destruction but You.

 

بَاطِلٌ مُضْمَحِلٌّ

baatelun muzmahillun

are doomed to destruction but You.

 

وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا

wa ash-hado anna Mohammadan

And I bear witness that Muhammad (as) is

 

عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ‌

a'bdoka wa rasooloka

Your servant and Your Prophet.

 

وَأَنَّ السَّاعَةَ

wa annas saa-a'ta

I bear witness that the Hour

 

آتِيَةٌ لا رَيْبَ فِيهَا

aateyatun laa rayba feehaa

is sure to come and there is no doubt about it.

 

وَأَنَّكَ بَاعِثُ

wa annaka baa-e'sun

I bear witness that You are

 

مَنْ‌ فِي الْقُبُورِ

man fil qoboor

the Resurrector of the dead from the graves.

 

اللَّهُمَّ فَاكْتُبْ

Allaahumma Faktub

O' my God! Please record

 

شَهَادَتِي هَذِهِ

sha-haadatee haazehi

my testimony near You

 

عِنْدَكَ

i'ndaka

until I meet You

 

حَتَّى أَلْقَاكَ

hattaa alqaaka

with You pleased with me.

 

بِهَا

behaa

with You pleased with me.

 

وَقَدْ رَضِيتَ عَنِّي

wa qad razeeta a'nnee

O' the Most Compassionate,

 

يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ

yaa arhamar raahemeen

Most Merciful!

 

اللَّهُمَّ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ

Allaahumma Falakal hamdo

O' my God! All praise

 

حَمْدًا تَضَعُ لَكَ

hamdan taza-o' lakas

belongs to You.

 

السَّمَاوَاتُ كَنَفَيْهَا

samaa-o kanafayhaa

Praise of the heavens that has lowered its peripherals

 

وَتُسَبِّحُ لَكَ الْأَرْضُ

wa tosabbeho lakal arzo

in humbleness to You,

 

وَمَنْ عَلَيْهَا

wa man a'layhaa

and that the earth and whatever lies in it

 

حَمْدًا يَصْعَدُ

hamdan yas-a'do

glorifies You.

 

وَلَا يَنْفَدُ

wa laa yanfado

Praise that rises and does not end.

 

حَمْدًا يَزِيدُ

hamdan yazeedo

Praise that increases

 

وَلَا يَبِيدُ

wa laa yabeedo

and does not diminish.

 

حَمْدًا سَرْمَدًا

hamdan sarmadan

Praise that is everlasting,

 

لَا انْقِطَاعَ لَهُ

lan qetaa-a' lahu

eternal,

 

وَلَا نَفَادَ

wa laa nafaada

never stopping

 

حَمْدًا يَصْعَدُ أَوَّلُهُ

hamdan yas-a'do awwalohu

and never ending.

 

وَلَا يَفْنَى آخِرُهُ

wa laa yafnaa aakherohu

Praise that begins to rise and does not end.

 

وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَيَّ

wa lakal hamdo a'layya

Praise belongs to You by me,

 

وَفَوْقِي

wa fawqee

above me,

 

وَمَعِي

wa ma-e'e

with me,

 

وَأَمَامِي

wa amaamee

in front of me

 

وَقَبْلِي

wa qebalee

and near me.

 

وَلَدَيَّ

wa ladayya

and near me.

 

وَإِذَا مِتُّ

wa ezaa mitto

O' my Guardian!

 

وَفَنِيتُ

wa fanayto

Praise belongs to You

 

وَبَقِيتُ

wa baqeeto

when I die and You survive.

 

يَا مَوْلَايَ

yaa mawlaaya

So all praise belongs to You

 

وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ

wa lakal hamdo

for all Your Bounties

 

بِجَمِيعِ مَحَامِدِكَ كُلِّهَا

be-jamee-e' mahaamedeka kullehaa

with all forms of praise for You.

 

عَلَى جَمِيعِ نَعْمَائِكَ كُلِّهَا

a'laa jamee-e' na'maa-eka kullehaa

with all forms of praise for You.

 

وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ

wa lakal hamdo

Praise belongs to You

 

فِي كُلِّ عِرْقٍ سَاكِنٍ

fee kulle i'rqin saakenin

in each beating of the veins,

 

وَفِي كُلِّ أَكْلَةٍ

wa fee kulle aklatin

each instance of eating,

 

وَشَرْبَةٍ

wa sharbatin

drinking,

 

وَلِبَاسٍ

wa lebaasin

dressing,

 

وَقُوَّةٍ

wa quwwatin

exerting,

 

وَبَطْشٍ

batshin

exhaling,

 

وَعَلَى مَوْضِعِ كُلِّ شَعْرَةٍ

wa a'laa maw-ze-e' kulle sha'ratin

and all hair.

 

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كُلُّهُ

Allaahumma lakal hamdo kullohu

All Praise belongs to You.

 

وَلَكَ الْمُلْكُ كُلُّهُ

wa lakal mulko kullohu

All Sovereignty belongs to You.

 

وَبِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ كُلُّهُ

wa be-yadekal khayro kullohu

In Your hand is all the good.

 

وَإِلَيْكَ يَرْجِعُ الْأَمْرُ كُلُّهُ

wa elayka yarje-u'l amro kullohu

All affairs whether public

 

عَلَانِيَتُهُ وَسِرُّهُ

a'laaneyatohu wa sirrohu

or private return to You.

 

وَأَنْتَ مُنْتَهَى الشَّأْنِ كُلِّهِ

wa anta muntahash shaane kulleh

And You are the ultimate Authority!

 

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ

Allaahumma lakal hamdo

O' my God! Praise belongs to You

 

عَلَى حِلْمِكَ بَعْدَ عِلْمِكَ

a'laa hilmeka ba'da i'lmeka

for having known and yet been patient,

 

وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ

wa lakal hamdo

and for having pardoned

 

عَلَى عَفْوِكَ بَعْدَ قُدْرَتِكَ

a'laa a'fweka ba'da qudratek

even though You can punish.

 

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ

Allaahumma lakal hamdo

O' my God! Praise belongs to You.

 

يَا بَاعِثَ الْحَمْدِ

yaa baa-e'sal hamde

Praise to You O' Cause of Praise!

 

وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ

wa lakal hamdo

Praise belongs to You!

 

يَا وَارِثَ الْحَمْدِ

yaa waaresal hamde

O' Inheritor of Praise!

 

وَبَدِيعَ الْحَمْدِ

wa badee-a'l hamde

O' Creator of Praise!

 

وَمُنْتَهَى الْحَمْدِ

wa muntahal hamde

O' Destination of Praise!

 

وَمُبْدِئَ الْحَمْدِ

wa mubde-al hamde

O' Origin of Praise!

 

وَوَفِيَّ الْعَهْدِ

wa wafiyyal a'hde

O' He who honors his covenants!

 

صَادِقَ الْوَعْدِ

saadeqal wa'de

And is truthful in promise,

 

عَزِيزَ الْجَدِّ

a'zeezal jadde

O' Exalted in Might!

 

وَقَدِيمَ الْمَجْدِ

wa qadeemal majde

O' the Eternal in Glory!

 

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ

Allaahumma lakal hamdo

O' my God! Praise belongs to You.

 

رَفِيعَ الدَّرَجَاتِ

ra-fee-a'd darajaate

O' He who give high ranks!

 

مُجِيبَ الدَّعَوَاتِ

mojeebad da'waate

O' the Responder to supplications!

 

مُنْزِلَ الْآيَاتِ

munzelal aayaate

O' He who sends verses

 

مِنْ فَوْقِ سَبْعِ سَمَاوَاتٍ

min fawqe sab-e' samaawaatin

from above the seven heavens!

 

مُخْرِجَ مَنْ فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ

tukhrejo man fiz zolomaate

O' He who brings out of darkness

 

إِلَى النُّورِ

elan noore

and into light!

 

مُبَدِّلَ السَّيِّئَاتِ

mobaddelas sayyeaate

O' He who turns evils

 

حَسَنَاتٍ

hasanaatin

into good deeds!

 

وَجَاعِلَ الْحَسَنَاتِ

wa jaa-e'lil hasanaate

O' He who gives ranks

 

دَرَجَاتٍ

darajaatin

to good deeds!

 

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ

Allaahumma lakal hamdo

O' my God! Praise belongs to You.

 

غَافِرَ الذَّنْبِ

ghaaferaz zanbe

O' Forgiver of sins,

 

وَقَابِلَ التَّوْبِ

wa qaabelat tawbe

Acceptor of repentance,

 

شَدِيدَ الْعِقَابِ

shadeedal e'qaabe

Strict in punishment,

 

ذَا الطَّوْلِ

zat-tawle

O' He who is Benevolent.

 

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

laa elaaha illaa anta

There is no God but You!

 

إِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ

elaykal maseer

To You is our Final Goal.

 

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ

Allaahumma lakal hamdo

O' my God! Praise belongs to You

 

فِي‌ اللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَى‌

fil layle ezaa yaghshaa

at night when it is dark

 

وَفِي‌ النَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّى‌

wa fin nahaare ezaa tajalaa

and in the daytime when it is light.

 

وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ

wa lakal hamdo

Praise belongs to You

 

فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَالْأُولَى

fil aakherate wal-oolaa

in the afterlife and the first life.

 

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ

Allaahumma lakal hamdo

O' my God! Praise belongs to You

 

عَدَدَ كُلِّ نَجْمٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ

a'dada kulle najmin fis-samaaa-e

as many in number as there are stars in the sky.

 

وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ

wa lakal hamdo

Praise belongs to You

 

بِعَدَدِ كُلِّ مَلَكٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ

be-a'dade kulle malakin fis-samaa-e

as many in number as there are dominions in the sky.

 

وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ

wa lakal hamdo

Praise belongs to You

 

عَدَدَ كُلِّ قَطْرَةٍ فِي الْبَحْرِ

a'dada kulle qatratin fil bahre

as many in number as there are drops in the rain.

 

وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ

wa lakal hamdo

Praise belongs to You

 

عَدَدَ أَوْرَاقِ الْأَشْجَارِ

a'dada awraaqil ashjaare

as many in number as there are leaves in the trees.

 

وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ

wa lakal hamdo

Praise belongs to You

 

عَدَدَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ

a'dadal jinne wal inse

as many in number as there are men and genies.

 

وَعَدَدَ الثَّرَى

wa a'dadas saraa

as many in number as there is sand,

 

وَالْبَهَائِمِ

wal-bahaa-eme

animals,

 

وَالسِّبَاعِ وَالطَّيْرِ

was-sebaa-e' wat-tayre

beasts and birds –

 

وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ

wa lakal hamdo

Praise belongs to You

 

عَدَدَ مَا فِي جَوْفِ الْأَرْضِ

a'dada maa fee jawfil arze

as many in number as there in the depth of the earth

 

وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ

wa lakal hamdo

Praise belongs to You

 

عَدَدَ مَا عَلَى وَجْهِ الْأَرْضِ

a'dada maa a'laa wajhil arze

as many in number as there are on the face of the earth.

 

وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ

wa lakal hamdo

Praise belongs to You

 

عَدَدَ مَا أَحْصَى كِتَابُكَ

a'dada maa ahsaa ketaaboka

as many in number as Your Book has counted

 

وَأَحَاطَ بِهِ عِلْمُكَ

wa ahaata behi i'lmoka

and Your Knowledge has encompassed

 

وَزِنَةَ عَرْشِكَ

ea zenata a'rsheka

and Your Throne weighs.

 

حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ

hamdan kaseeran mobaarakan feehe

Praise that is plentiful and blessed in it.

 

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ

Allaahumma lakal hamdo

O' my God! Praise belongs to You

 

عَدَدَ مَا تَقُولُ

a'dada maa taqoolo

as many in number as You say,

 

وَعَدَدَ مَا تَعْلَمُ

wa a'dada maa ta'lamo

and as many in number as You know,

 

وَعَدَدَ مَا يَعْمَلُ خَلْقُكَ

wa a'dada maa ya'malo khalqoka

and as many in number as all Your creatures

 

كُلُّهُمْ الْأَوَّلُونَ

kullohomul awwaloona

from the first generation

 

وَالْآخِرُونَ

wal-aakheroona

to the last act,

 

وَبِزِنَةِ ذَلِكَ كُلِّهِ

wa be-zeenata zaaleka kullehi

and equal in weight and number

 

وَعَدَدَ مَا سَمَّيْنَا كُلَّهُ

wa a'dada maa sammaynaa kullahu

to all we name

 

إِذَا مِتْنَا وَفَنَيْنَا

ezaa mitnaa wa faneenaa

up until we die and perish.

 

لا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ‌ وَحْدَهُ‌

laa-elaaha illal laaho wahdahu

There is no God but God. He is One

 

لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ‌

laa shareeka lahu

and there are no partners for Him.

 

لَهُ الْمُلْكُ

lahul mulko

Sovereignty

 

وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ

wa lahul hamdo

and Praise belong to Him.

 

يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ‌

yohyee wa yomeeto

He gives life and causes to die

 

وَهُوَ عَلَى‌ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ

wa howa a'laa kulle shay-in qadeer

and He has power over all things.

 

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ

Astaghferullaah

(I ask forgiveness of Allah)

After this recite 10 times each...

يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ

Yaa Allaaho Yaa Allaaho

(O Allah! O Allah!)

 

يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا رَحْمَانُ

Yaa Rahmaano Yaa Rahmaano

(O Beneficent! O Beneficent!)

 

يَا رَحِيمُ يَا رَحِيمُ

Yaa Raheemo Yaa Raheemo

(O Merciful! O Merciful!)

 

يَا حَنَّانُ يَا مَنَّانُ

Yaa Hannaano Yaa Mannaano

(O Giver! O Bestower!)

 

يَا لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

Yaa Laa Elaaha Illaa Anta

(O There is no god save Thou.)

 

وَ لَا حَوْلَ‌وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ

Wa Laa Hawla Wa Laa Quwwata Illaa Billaahil A'liyyil A'zeem

(And there is neither power nor might save with Allah, the Most High, the All-magnificent)

 

آمِينَ آمِينَ

Aameen Aameen

(So be it, So be it)

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ آدَمَ صَفْوَةِ ٱللَّهِ

as-salamu `alayka ya waritha adama safwati allahi

Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Adam the choice of Allah.

You should then come near the door of the dome from the side of the Imam’s head and say these words:

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ نُوحٍ نَبِيِّ ٱللَّهِ

as-salamu `alayka ya waritha nuhin nabiyyi allahi

Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Noah the prophet of Allah.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلِ ٱللَّهِ

as-salamu `alayka ya waritha ibrahima khalili allahi

Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Abraham the intimate friend of Allah.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُوسَىٰ كَلِيمِ ٱللَّهِ

as-salamu `alayka ya waritha musa kalimi allahi

Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Moses the spoken by Allah.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عِيسَىٰ رُوحِ ٱللَّهِ

as-salamu `alayka ya waritha `isa ruhi allahi

Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Jesus the spirit of Allah.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُحَمَّدٍ حَبِيبِ ٱللَّهِ

as-salamu `alayka ya waritha muhammadin habibi allahi

Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Muhammad the most beloved by Allah.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلاَمُ

as-salamu `alayka ya waritha amiri almu'minina

Peace be upon you, O inheritor of the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ ٱلْمُصْطَفَىٰ

as-salamu `alayka yabna muhammadin almustafa

Peace be upon you, O son of Muhammad the well-chosen Prophet.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ عَلِيٍّ ٱلْمُرْتَضَىٰ

as-salamu `alayka yabna `aliyyin almurtada

Peace be upon you, O son of `Ali the well-pleased.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ فَاطِمَةَ ٱلزَّهْرَاءِ

as-salamu `alayka yabna fatimata alzzahra'i

Peace be upon you, O son of Fatimah the luminous lady.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ خَدِيـجَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ

as-salamu `alayka yabna khadijata alkubra

Peace be upon you, O son of Khadijah the grand lady.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ثَارَ ٱللَّهِ وَٱبْنَ ثَارِهِ

as-salamu `alayka ya thara allahi wabna tharihi

Peace be upon you, O vengeance of Allah, son of His vengeance,

 

وَٱلْوِتْرَ ٱلْمَوْتُورَ

walwitra almawtura

and the unavenged so far.

 

أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ أَقَمْتَ ٱلصَّلاَةَ

ashhadu annaka qad aqamta alssalata

I bear witness that you performed the prayers,

 

وَآتَيْتَ ٱلزَّكَاةَ

wa atayta alzzakata

defrayed the poor-rate,

 

وَأَمَرْتَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ

wa amarta bilma`rufi

enjoined the right,

 

وَنَهَيْتَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنْكَرِ

wa nahayta `an almunkari

forbade the wrong,

 

وَأَطَعْتَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ حَتَّىٰ أَتَاكَ ٱلْيَقِينُ

wa ata`ta allaha wa rasulahu hatta ataka alyaqinu

and obeyed Allah and His Messenger until death came upon you.

 

فَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكَ

fala`ana allahu ummatan qatalatka

So, may Allah curse the people who slew you.

 

وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً ظَلَمَتْكَ

wa la`ana allahu ummatan zalamatka

May Allah curse the people who persecuted you.

 

وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً سَمِعَتْ بِذٰلِكَ فَرَضِيَتْ بِهِ

wa la`ana allahu ummatan sami`at bidhalika faradiyat bihi

May Allah curse the people who were pleased when they had heard of that.

 

يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ

ya mawlaya ya aba `abdillahi

O my Master, O Abu-`Abdullah!

 

أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ كُنْتَ نُوراً فِي ٱلأَصْلاَبِ ٱلشَّامِخَةِ

ashhadu annaka kunta nuran fi al-aslabi alshshamikhati

I bear witness that you were light in the sublime loins

 

وَٱلأَرْحَامِ ٱلْمُطَهَّرَةِ

wal-arhami almutahharati

and purified wombs;

 

لَمْ تُنَجِّسْكَ ٱلْجَاهِلِيَّةُ بِأَنْجَاسِهَا

lam tunajjiska aljahiliyyatu bi'anjasiha

the impurities of the Ignorance Era could not object you to filth

 

وَلَمْ تُلْبِسْكَ مِنْ مُدْلَهِمَّاتِ ثِيَابِهَا

wa lam tulbiska min mudlahimmati thiyabiha

nor could it dress you its murky clothes.

 

وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ مِنْ دَعَائِمِ ٱلدِّينِ

wa ashhadu annaka min da`a'imi alddini

I also bear witness that you are one of the mainstays of the religion

 

وَأَرْكَانِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

wa arkani almu'minina

and the supports of the faithful believers.

 

وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ ٱلإِمَامُ ٱلْبَرُّ ٱلتَّقِيُّ

wa ashhadu annaka al-imamu albarru alttaqiyyu

I also bear witness that you are the God-fearing, pious,

 

ٱلرَّضِيُّ ٱلزَّكِيُّ

alrradiyyu alzzakiyyu

pleased, immaculate,

 

ٱلْهَادِي ٱلْمَهْدِيُّ

alhadi almahdiyyu

guide, and well-guided Imam.

 

وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ ٱلأَئِمَّةَ مِنْ وُلْدِكَ كَلِمَةُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ

wa ashhadu anna al-a'immata min wuldika kalimatu alttaqwa

And (I bear witness) that the Imams from your progeny are the spokesmen of piety,

 

وَأَعْلاَمُ ٱلْهُدَىٰ

wa a`lamu alhuda

the signs of guidance,

 

وَٱلْعُروَةُ ٱلْوُثْقَىٰ

wal`urwatu alwuthqa

the firmest handle (of Islam),

 

وَٱلْحُجَّةُ عَلَىٰ أَهْلِ ٱلدُّنْيَا

walhujjatu `ala ahli alddunya

and the decisive Argument against the inhabitants of the world.

 

وَأُشْهِدُ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلاَئِكَتَهُ

wa ushhidu allaha wa mala'ikatahu

And I call Allah, His angels,

 

وَأَنْبِيَاءَهُ وَرُسُلَهُ

wa anbiya'ahu wa rusulahu

His Prophets, and His Messenger

 

أَنِّي بِكُمْ مُؤْمِنٌ وَبِإِيَابِكُمْ

anni bikum mu'minun wa bi'yabikum

to witness for me that I believe in you all and in your Return,

 

مُوقِنٌ بِشَرَائِعِ دِينِي وَخَوَاتِيمِ عَمَلي

muqinun bishara'i`i dini wa khawatimi `amali

I have full confidence in the laws of my religion and in the seals of my deeds,

 

وَقَلْبِي لِقَلْبِكُمْ سِلْمٌ

wa qalbi liqalbikum silmun

my heart is at peace with you all,

 

وَأَمْرِي لأَمْرِكُمْ مُتَّبِعٌ

wa amri li'amrikum muttbi`un

and all my affairs are based on your commands.

 

صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَعَلَىٰ أَرْوَاحِكُمْ

salawatu allahi `alaykum wa `ala arwahikum

May Allah’s benedictions be on your souls,

 

وَعَلَىٰ أَجْسَادِكُمْ وَعَلَىٰ أَجْسَامِكُمْ

wa `ala ajsadikum wa `ala ajsamikum

your bodies, your forms,

 

وَعَلَىٰ شَاهِدِكُمْ وَعَلَىٰ غَائِبِكُمْ

wa `ala shahidikum wa `ala gha'ibkum

the present and the absent from you,

 

وَعَلَىٰ ظَاهِرِكُمْ وَعَلَىٰ بَاطِنِكُمْ

wa `ala zahirikum wa `ala batinikum

and the apparent and the invisible from you.

 

بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي يَا بْنَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ

bi'abi anta wa ummi yabna rasuli allahi

My father and mother be sacrificed for you, O son of the Messenger of Allah!

Then, you may throw yourself on the tomb, kiss it, and say these words:

بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ

bi'abi anta wa ummi ya aba `abdillahi

My father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Abu `Abdullah!

 

لَقَدْ عَظُمَتِ ٱلرَّزِيَّةُ

laqad `azumat alrraziyyatu

Extremely terrible was the calamity

 

وَجَلَّتِ ٱلْمُصيبَةُ بِكَ عَلَيْنَا

wa jallat almusibatu bika `alayna

and astounding is the misfortune that you suffered upon us

 

وَعَلَىٰ جَمِيعِ أَهْلِ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَٱلأَرْضِ

wa `ala jami`i ahli alssamawati wal-ardi

and upon all the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth.

 

فَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً أَسْرَجَتْ وَأَلْجَمَتْ

fala`ana allahu ummatan asrajat wa aljamat

Therefore, Allah may curse the people who saddled up, gave rein to their horses,

 

وَتَهَيَّأَتْ لِقِتَالِكَ

wa tahayya'at liqitalika

and prepared themselves to kill you.

 

يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ

ya mawlaya ya aba `abdillahi

O my Master, O Abu `Abdullah!

 

قَصَدْتُ حَرَمَكَ

qasadtu haramaka

I moved towards your sanctuary

 

وَأَتَيْتُ إِلَىٰ مَشْهَدِكَ

wa ataytu ila mashhadika

and came to your shrine

 

أَسْأَلُ ٱللَّهَ بِٱلشَّأْنِ ٱلَّذِي لَكَ عِنْدَهُ

as'alu allaha bilshsha'ni alladhi laka `indahu

beseeching Allah in the name of the standing that you enjoy with Him

 

وَبِٱلْمَحَلِّ ٱلَّذِي لَكَ لَدَيْهِ

wa bilmahalli alladhi laka ladayhi

and the position that you occupy with Him

 

أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

an yusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

to send blessings on Muhammad and on the Household of Muhammad

 

وَأَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مَعَكُمْ فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ

wa an yaj`alani ma`akum fi alddunya wal-akhirati

and to keep me with you in this world and in the Hereafter.

 

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي صَلَّيْتُ وَرَكَعْتُ وَسَجَدْتُ

allahumma inni sallaytu wa raka`tu wa sajadtu

O Allah, I have offered a prayer, genuflected, and prostrated myself

Then, you should stand up for offering a two-unit prayer next to the side of the Imam’s head. In this prayer, you can recite any Surah you like. When you finish, you should say these words:

لَكَ وَحْدَكَ لاََ شَرِيكَ لَكَ

laka wahdaka la sharika laka

for Your sake purely without setting any partner with You

 

لأَنَّ ٱلصَّلاَةَ وَٱلرُّكُوعَ وَٱلسُّجُودَ

li'anna alssalata walrruku`a walssujuda

since all prayers, genuflection, and prostration

 

لاََ تَكُونُ إِلاَّ لَكَ

la takunu illa laka

suit none except You.

 

لإَِنَّكَ أَنْتَ ٱللَّهُ لاََ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

li'annaka anta allahu la ilaha illa anta

Because You are Allah, there in n0 god save You.

 

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please) send blessings on Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

 

وَأَبْلِغْهُمْ عَنِّي أَفْضَلَ ٱلسَّلاَمِ وَٱلتَّحِيَّةِ

wa ablighhum `anni afdala alssalami walttahiyyati

and convey to them my best greetings and compliments

 

وَٱرْدُدْ عَلَيَّ مِنْهُمُ ٱلسَّلاَمَ

wardud `alayya minhum alssalama

and convey to me their replies.

 

اَللَّهُمَّ وَهَاتَانِ ٱلرَّكْعَتَانِ

allahumma wa hatani alrrak`atani

O Allah, these two units of prayer

 

هَدِيَّةٌ مِنِّي إِلَىٰ مَوْلاَيَ

hadiyyatun minni ila mawlaya

are present from me to my master

 

ٱلْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ عَلَيْهِمَا ٱلسَّلاَمُ

alhusayni bni `aliyyin `alayhima as-salamu

al-Husayn the son of `Ali, peace be upon both of them.

 

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَيْهِ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa `alayhi

O Allah, send blessings on Muhammad and on him,

 

وَتَقَبَّلْ مِنِّي وَأْجُرْنِي عَلَىٰ ذٰلِكَ

wa taqabbal minni wa'jurni `ala dhalika

accept my effort, and reward me for it

 

بِأَفْضَلِ أَمَلِي وَرَجَائِي فِيكَ

bi'afdali amali wa raja'i fika

in the best rewarding that I anticipate and hope from You

 

وَفِي وَلِيِّكَ يَا وَلِيَّ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

wa fi waliyyika ya waliyya almu'minina

and from Your saint, O Guardian of the faithful!

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ

as-salamu `alayka yabna rasuli allahi

Peace be upon you, O son of the Messenger of Allah.

Then, move to the side of the Imam’s feet, stop at the place of the head of `Ali Akbar ibn al-Husayn ('a) and say the following words:

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ نَبِيِّ ٱللَّهِ

as-salamu `alayka yabna nabiyyi allahi

Peace be upon you, O son of the Prophet of Allah.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

as-salamu `alayka yabna amiri almu'minina

Peace be upon you, O son of the commander of the faithful.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ ٱلشَّهِيدِ

as-salamu `alayka yabna alhusayni alshshahidi

Peace be upon you, O son of al-Husayn the martyr.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلشَّهِيدُ

as-salamu `alayka ayyuha alshshahidu

Peace be upon you, O martyr.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمَظْلُومُ وَٱبْنُ ٱلْمَظْلُومِ

as-salamu `alayka ayyuha almazlumu wabnu almazlumi

Peace be upon you, O wronged and harassed and the son of the wrong and harassed.

 

لَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكَ

la`ana allahu ummatan qatalatka

Curse of Allah be on those who killed you.

 

وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً ظَلَمَتْكَ

wa la`ana allahu ummatan zalamatka

Curse of Allah be on those who persecuted you.

 

وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً سَمِعَتْ بِذٰلِكَ فَرَضَيِتْ بِهِ

wa la`ana allahu ummatan sami`at bidhalika faradiyat bihi

Curse of Allah be on those who heard this even but rested satisfied.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ ٱللَّهِ وَٱبْنَ وَلِيِّهِ

as-salamu `alayka ya waliyya allahi wabna waliyyihi

Peace be upon you, O intimate servant of Allah and the son of His intimate servant.

You should then throw yourself on the tomb, kiss it, and say the following words:

لَقَدْ عَظُمَتِ ٱلْمُصيبَةُ

laqad `azumat almusibatu

Extremely terrible was the calamity

 

وَجَلَّتِ ٱلرَّزِيَّةُ بِكَ عَلَيْنَا

wa jallat alrraziyyatu bika `alayna

and astounding is the misfortune that you suffered, upon us

 

وَعَلَىٰ جَمِيعِ ٱلْمُسْلِمينَ

wa `ala jami`i almuslimina

and upon all Muslims.

 

فَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكَ

fala`ana allahu ummatan qatalatka

So, curse of Allah be on those who killed you

 

وَأَبْرَأُ إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ وَإِلَيْكَ مِنْهُمْ

wa abra'u ila allahi wa ilayka minhum

and I disavow them in the presence of Allah and You.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَوْلِيَاءَ ٱللَّهِ وَأَحِبَّائَهُ

as-salamu `alaykum ya awliya'a allahi wa ahibba'ahu

Peace be upon all of you, O friends and dears of Allah.

You should then leave from the door that is at the side of `Ali ibn al-Husayn’s feet, direct towards the martyrs, and say the following words:

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَصْفِيَاءَ ٱللَّهِ وَأَوِدَّاءَهُ

as-salamu `alaykum ya asfiya'a allahi wa awidda'ahu

Peace be upon all of you, O choice of Allah and sincerely attached to Him.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَنْصَارَ دِينِ ٱللَّهِ

as-salamu `alaykum ya ansara dini allahi

Peace be upon all of you, O supporters of Allah’s religion.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَنْصَارَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ

as-salamu `alaykum ya ansara rasuli allahi

Peace be upon all of you, O supporters of the Messenger of Allah.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَنْصَارَ أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

as-salamu `alaykum ya ansara amiri almu'minina

Peace be upon all of you, O supporters of the Commander of the Faithful.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَنْصَارَ فَاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

as-salamu `alaykum ya ansara fatimata sayyidati nisa'i al`alamina

Peace be upon all of you, O supporters of Fatimah the doyenne of the women of this world.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَنْصَارَ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ

as-salamu `alaykum ya ansara abi muhammadin

Peace be upon all of you, O supporters of Abu Muhammad,

 

ٱلْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ٱلْوَلِيِّ ٱلنَّاصِحِ

alhasani ibni `aliyyin alwaliyyi alnnasihi

al-Hasan the son of `Ali, the saintly and sincere.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَنْصَارَ أَبِي عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ

as-salamu `alaykum ya ansara abi `abdillahi

Peace be upon all of you, O supporters of Abu-`Abdullah.

 

بِأَبِي أَنْتُمْ وَأُمِّي

bi'abi antum wa ummi

My father and mother be sacrificed for you.

 

طِبْتُمْ وَطَابَتِ ٱلأَرْضُ ٱلَّتِي فِيهَا دُفِنْتُمْ

tibtum wa tabat al-ardu allati fiha dufintum

Verily, pure be you and pure be the soil in which you were buried.

 

وَفُزْتُمْ فَوْزاً عَظيماً

wa fuztum fawzan `aziman

You attained great success.

 

فَيَا لَيْتَنِي كُنْتُ مَعَكُمْ فَأَفُوزَ مَعَكُمْ

fayalaytani kuntu ma`akum fa'afuza ma`akum

Would that I were with you so that I could also share the accomplishment with you.

 

فَيَا لَيْتَنِي كُنْتُ مَعَكُمْ فَأَفُوزَ مَعَكُمْ

fayalaytani kuntu ma`akum fa'afuza ma`akum

Would that I were with you so that I could also share the accomplishment with you.

You should then return to the place near the head of Imam al-Husayn ('a), supplicate Almighty Allah as much as you can, and pray for yourself, your family members, your parents, and your friends, because any prayer in the holy shrine of Imam al-Husayn (`a) shall never be rejected. Commentary: Known as Ziyarah Warith, this form of ziyarah has been quoted from Shaykh al-Tusi’s book of Misbah al-Mutahajjid, which is one of the most sublime, reliable, and famous books in the scholastic milieus. I have therefore quoted this form of ziyarah from this honorable book without leaning on any other means or reference book. Hence, the sealing statement of this form was the following:

 

 

 

was one of Imam Ali's (a) special companions. He was from Banu Asad tribe and lived in Kufa. When he saw that people of Kufa have broken their allegiance to Imam al-Husayn (a), he left Kufa, joined Imam, and was martyred at the age of 75 while fighting in Imam al-Husayn's (a) army.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الْعَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ الْمُطِيْعُ لِللهِ وَلِرَسُولِهٖ وَلِاَمِيْرِ الْمُؤمِنِينَ وَلِفَاطِمَةَ الزَّهْرَآءِ وَ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَينِ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلاَمُ

assalaamo a'layka ayyohal a'bdus saalehul motee-o' lillaahe wa lerasoolehi wa le-ameeril moameneena wa lefaatemataz zahraaa-e wal hasane wal husayne a'layhemus salaamo

Peace be upon you, O righteous servant, obedient to God, His Messenger, the Commander of the Faithful, Fatimah Al-Zahra, Al-Hassan Al-Hussian,

 

الْغَرِيْبُ الْمَوَاسِىْ اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ جَاهَدْتَّ فِىْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ وَ نُصْرَتَ الْحُسَيْنَ ابْنَ بِنْتِ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ وَ وَاسِیْتَ بِنَفْسِكَ وَ بَذَلْتَ مُهْجَتَكَ فَعَلَيْكَ مِنَ اللهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ اتَّآمُّ

al-ghareebul mawaaseeash-hado annaka jaahadta fee sabeelil laahe wa nasartal husaynabna binte rasoolil laahe wa waasayta benafseka wa bazalta mohjataka fa-a'layka menal laahe assalaamut taaammo

I bear witness that you have strived for the way of God, and the help of the son of the daughter of the Holy Prophet(saws)And you made your sacrifice, so peace be upon you from God.

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الْقَمَرُ الزَّاهِرُ

assalaamo a'layka ayyohal qamaruz zaahero

Peace be upon you, O supporter of Lady Zahra(sa)

 

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حَبِيْبَ ابْنَ مَظَاهِرِ اَلْاَسَدِىِّ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُةُ-

assalaamo a'layka yaa habeebab na mazaahere al-asadiyye wa rahmatul laahe wa barakaatohu.
