بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful

[00:11.00]

اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

Tra"O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

[00:21.00]

اِلٰهِىْ لَوْلَا الْوَاجِبُ مِنْ قَبُوْلِ اَمْرِكَ

ilahi lawla alwajibu min qabuli amrika

My God, were it not incumbent to accept Your command,

[00:31.00]

لَنَزَّهْتُكَ مِنْ ذِكْرِىْ اِيَّاكَ

lanazzahtuka min dhikri iyyaka

I would declare You far too exalted for me to remember You.

[00:37.00]

عَلٰى اَنَّ ذِكْرِىْ لَكَ بِقَدْرِىْ لَا بِقَدْرِكَ

`ala anna dhikri laka biqadri la biqadrika

However, I remember You in my measure, not in Your measure,

[00:45.00]

وَمَا عَسٰى اَنْ يَبْلُغَ مِقْدَارِىْ حَتّٰى اَجْعَلَ مَحَّلًا لِتَقْدِيْسِكْ

wa ma `asa an yablugha miqdari hatta aj`ala mahallan litaqdisika

and my scope can hardly reach the point where I may be a locus for calling You holy!

[00:58.00]

وَ مِنْ اَعْظَمِ النِّعَمِ عَلَيْنَا جَرَيَانُ ذِكْرِكَ عَلٰۤى اَلْسِنَتِنَا

wa min a`zami anni`ami `alayna jarayanu dhikrika `ala alsinatina

Among Your greatest favors to us is the running of Your remembrance across our tongues

[01:10.00]

وَ اِذْنُكَ لَنَا بِدُعَاۤئِكَ وَ تَنْزِيْهِكَ وَ تَسْبِيْحِكَ.

wa idhnuka lana bidu`a'ika wa tanzihika wa tasbihika

and Your permission to us to supplicate You, declare You exalted, and call You holy!

[01:22.00]

اِلٰهِىْ فَاَلْهِمْنَا ذِكْرَكَ فِى الْخَلاۤءِ وَالْمَلاۤءِ

ilahi fa alhimna dhikraka filkhala'i walmala'i

My God, inspire with Your remembrance alone and in assemblies,

[01:35.00]

وَ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ

wallayli wannahari

by night and day,

[01:39.00]

وَالْاِعْلَانِ وَ الْاِسْرَارِ

wal-i`lani wal-israri

publicly and secretly,

[01:43.00]

وَ فِى السَّرَّاۤءِ وَالضَّرَّاۤءِ

wa fissarra'i waddarra'i

in prosperity and adversity!

[01:48.00]

وَ اٰنِسْنَا بِالذِّكْرِا لْخَفِىِّ

wa anisna bidhdhikri alkhafiyyi

Make us intimate with silent remembrance,

[01:54.00]

وَاسْتَعْمِلْنَا بِٱلْعَمَلِ الزَّكِىِّ

wasta`milna bil`amali azzakiyyi

employ us in purified works

[02:00.00]

وَالسَّعْىِ الْمَرْضِىِّ

wassa`yi almardiyyi

and effort pleasing to You,

[02:03.00]

وَ جَازِنَا بِالْمِيْزَانِ الْوَفِىِّ.

wa jazina bilmizani alwafiyyi

and reward us with the full balance!

[02:10.00]

اِلٰهِىْ بِكَ هَامَتِ الْقُلُوْبُ الْوَالِهَةُ

ilahi bika hamat alqulubu alwalihatu

My God, love-mad hearts are enraptured by You,

[02:22.00]

وَ عَلٰى مَعْرِفَتِكَ جُمِعَتِ الْعُقُوْلُ الْمُتَبَايِنَةُ

wa `ala ma`rifatika jumi`at al`uqulu almutabayinatu

disparate intellects are brought together by knowing You,

[02:31.00]

فَلَا تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوْبُ اِلَّا بِذِكْرَاكَ

fala tatma'innu alqulubu illa bidhikraka

hearts find no serenity except in remembering You,

[02:41.00]

وَلَا تَسْكُنُ النُّفُوْسُ اِلَّا عِنْدَ رُؤْيَاكَ

wa la taskunu annufusu illa `inda ru'yaka

and souls find no rest except in seeing You.

[02:49.00]

اَنْتَ الْمُسَبَّحُ كُلِّ مَكَانٍ

anta almusabbahu fi kulli makanin

You are the glorified in every place,

[02:56.00]

وَالْمَعْبُوْدُ فِىْ كُلِّ زَمَانٍ

walma`budu fi kulli zamanin

the worshiped at every time,

[03:00.00]

وَالْمَوْجُوْدُ فِىْ كُلِّ اَوَانٍ

walmawjudu fi kulli awanin

the found at every moment,

[03:06.00]

وَالْمَدْعُوُّ بِكُلِّ لِسَانٍ

walmad`uwwu bikulli lisanin

the called by every tongue,

[03:11.00]

وَالْمُعَظَّمُ فِىْ كُلِّ جَنَانٍ

walmu`azzamu fi kulli jananin

and the magnified in every heart!

[03:16.50]

وَ اَسْتَغْفِرُكَ مِنْ كُلِّ لَذَّةٍ بِغَيْرِ ذِكْرِكَ

wa astaghfiruka min kulli ladhdhatin bighayri dhikrika

I pray forgiveness from You for every pleasure I could find other than remembering You,

[03:27.00]

وَ مِنْ كُلِّ رَاحَةٍ بِغَيْرِ اُنْسِكَ

wa min kulli rahatin bighayri unsika

every ease but intimacy with You,

[03:34.00]

وَ مِنْ كُلِّ سُرُوْرٍ بِغَيْرِ قُرْبِكَ

wa min kulli sururin bighayri qurbika

every happiness but nearness to You,

[03:41.00]

وَ مِنْ كُلِّ شُغْلٍ بِغَيْرِ طَاعَتِكَ

wa min kulli shughlin bighayri ta`atika

every occupation but obeying You!

[03:39.00]

اِلٰهِىْ اَنْتَ قُلْتَ وَ قَوْلَكَ الْحَقُّ

ilahi anta qulta wa qawluka alhaqqu

My God, You have said—and Your word is true—

[03:57.00]

يَآ اَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا اذْكُرُوا اللهَ ذِكْرًا كَثِيْرًا

ya ayyuha alladhina amanu idhkura allaha dhikran kathiran

“O you who have faith, remember Allah with much remembrance

[04:07.00]

وَ سَبِّحُوْهُ بُكْرَةً وَ اَصِيْلًا

wa sabbihuhu bukratan wa asilan

and glorify Him at dawns and in the evening!”

[04:14.00]

وَ قُلْتَ وَ قَوْلُكَ الْحَقُّ

wa qulta wa qawluka alhaqqu

You have also said—and Your word is true—

[04:18.00]

فَاذْكُرُونِىْ اَذْكُرْكُمْ

fadhkuruni adhkurkum

“Remember Me, and I will remember you!”

[04:24.00]

فَاَمَرْتَنَا بِذِكْرِكَ

fa amartana bidhikrika

You have commanded us to remember You,

[04:30.00]

وَ وَعَدْتَنَا عَلَيْهِ اَنْ تَذْكُرَنَا

wa wa`adtana `alayhi an tadhkurana

and promised us that You will remember us thereby,

[04:36.00]

تَشْرِيْفًا لَنَا وَ تَفْخِيْمًا وَ اِعْظَامًا

tashrifan lana wa tafkhiman wa i`zaman

in order to ennoble, respect, and honor us.

[04:43.00]

وَ هَا نَحْنُ ذَاكِرُوكَ كَمَا اَمَرْتَنَا

wa ha nahnu dhakiruka kama amartana

Here we are, remembering You as You have commanded us!

[04:50.00]

فَاَنْجِزْ لَنَا مَا وَ عَدْتَنَا

fa anjiz lana ma wa`adtana

So, accomplish what You have promised,

[04:56.00]

يَا ذَاكِرَ الذَّاكِرِيْنَ

ya dhakira adhdhakirina

O Rememberer of the rememberers!

[05:01.00]

وَ يَآ اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ.

wa ya arhama arrahimina

O Most Merciful of the merciful!
