Friday Dua

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

bismi allahi alrrahmani alrrahimi

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammad

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

اللَّهُمَّ يَا مَنْ دَلَعَ لِسَانَ ٱلصَّبَاحِ بِنُطْقِ تَبَلُّجِهِ

allahumma ya man dala`a lisana alssabahi binutqi taballujihi

O Allah, O He Who extended the morning's tongue in the speech of its dawning,

وَسَرَّحَ قِطَعَ ٱللَّيْلِ ٱلْمُظْلِمِ بِغَيَاهِبِ تَلَجْلُجِهِ

wa sarraha qita`a allayli almuzlimi bighayahibi talajlujihi

dispatched the fragments of the dark night into the gloom of its stammering,

وَأَتْقَنَ صُنْعَ ٱلْفَلَكِ الدَّوَّارِ فِي مَقَادِيرِ تَبَرُّجِهِ

wa atqana sun`a alfalaki alddawwari fi maqadiri tabarrujihi

made firm the structure of the turning spheres in the measure of its display,

وَشَعْشَعَ ضِيَاءَ ٱلشَّمْسِ بِنُورِ تَأَجُّجِهِ

wa sha`sha`a diya'a alshshamsi binuri ta'ajjujihi

and beamed forth the brightness of the sun through the light of its blazing!

يَا مَنْ دَلَّ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِهِ بِذَاتِهِ

ya man dalla `ala dhatihi bidhatihi

O He Who demonstrates His Essence by His Essence,

وَتَنَزَّهَ عَنْ مُجَانَسَةِ مَخْلُوقَاتِهِ

wa tanazzaha `an mujanasati makhluqatihi

transcends from congeniality with His creatures,

وَجَلَّ عَنْ مُلائَمَةِ كَيْفِيَاتِهِ

wa jalla `an mula'amati kayfiyyatihi

and is exalted beyond conformity with His qualities!

يَا مَنْ قَرُبَ مِنْ خَطَرَاتِ ٱلظُّنُونِ

ya man qaruba min khatarati alzzununi

O He Who is near to the passing thoughts of opinions,

وَبَعُدَ عَنْ لَحَظَاتِ ٱلْعُيُونِ

wa ba`uda `an lahazati al`uyuni

far from the regards of eyes,

وَعَلِمَ بِمَا كَانَ قَبْلَ أَن يَكُونَ

wa `alima bima kana qabla an yakuna

and knows what will be before it comes to be!

يَا مَنْ أَرْقَدَنِي فِي مِهَادِ أَمْنِهِ وَأَمَانِهِ

ya man arqadani fi mihadi amnihi wa amanihi

O He Who has put me at ease in the cradle of His security and sanctuary,

وَأَيْقَظَنِي إِلَىٰ مَا مَنَحَنِي بِهِ مِنْ مِنَنِهِ وَإِحْسَانِهِ

wa ayqazani ila ma manahani bihi min minanihi wa ihsanihi

awakened me to the favors and kindness that He has bestowed upon me,

وَكَفَّ أَكُفَّ السُّوءِ عَنِّي بِيَدِهِ وَسُلْطَانِهِ

wa kaffa akuffa alssu'i `anni biyadihi wa sultanihi

and held back from me the claws of evil with His hand and His authority!

صَلِّ اللَّهُمَّ عَلَىٰ ٱلدَّلِيلِ إِلَيْكَ فِي ٱللَّيْلِ ٱلأَلْيَلِ

salli allahumma `ala alddalili ilayka fi allayli al-alyali

Bless, O Allah, the guide to You in the darkest night,

وَٱلْمَاسِكِ مِنْ أَسْبَابِكَ بِحَبْلِ ٱلشَّرَفِ ٱلأَطْوَلِ

walmasiki min asbabika bihabli alshsharafi al-atwali

who, of Your ropes, clings to the cord of the longest nobility,

وَٱلنَّاصِعِ ٱلْحَسَبِ فِي ذِرْوَةِ ٱلْكَاهِلِ ٱلأَعْبَلِ

walnnasi`i alhasabi fi dhirwati alkahili al-a`bali

whose pure lineage evident at the summit of stout shoulders,

وَٱلثَّابِتِ ٱلْقَدَمِ عَلَىٰ زَحَاِليْفِهَا فِي ٱلزَّمَنِ ٱلأَوَّلِ

walththabiti alqadami `ala zahalifiha fi alzzamani al-awwali

and whose feet were entrenched in spite of slippery places in ancient time.

وَعَلَىٰ آلِهِ ٱلأَخْيَارِ ٱلْمُصْطَفَيْنَ ٱلأَبْرَارِ

wa `ala alihi al-akhyari almustafayna al-abrari

And [bless] his household, the good, chosen, and pious.

وٱفْتَحِ اللَّهُمَّ لَنَا مَصَارِيعَ ٱلصَّبَاحِ

waftah allahumma lana masari`a alssabahi

Open for us, O Allah, the leaves of the morning's door

بِمَفَاتِيحِ ٱلرَّحْمَةِ وَٱلْفَلاَحِ

bimafatihi alrrahmati walfalahi

with the keys of mercy and prosperity!

وَأَلْبِسْنِي ٱللَّهُمَّ مِنْ أَفْضَلِ خِلَعِ ٱلْهِدَايَةِ وَٱلصَّلاَحِ

wa albisni allahumma min afdali khila`i alhidayati walssalahi

Clothe me, O Allah, with the most excellent robes of guidance and righteousness!

وَٱغْرِسِ اللَّهُمَّ بِعَظَمَتِكَ فِي شِرْبِ جَنَانِي يَنَابِيعَ ٱلْخُشُوعِ

wa ighris allahumma bi`azamatika fi shirbi janani yanabi`a alkhushu`i

Plant, O Allah, through Your tremendousness, the springs of humility in the watering place of my heart!

وَأَجْرِ ٱللَّهُمَّ لِهَيْبَتِكَ مِنْ آمَاقِي زَفَرَاتِ ٱلدُّمُوعِ

wa ajri allahumma lihaybatika min amaqi zafarati alddumu`i

Cause to flow, O Allah, through fear of You, tears of moaning from the corners of my eyes!

وَأَدِّبِ ٱللَّهُمَّ نَزَقَ ٱلْخُرْقِ مِنِّي بِأَزِمَّةِ ٱلْقُنُوعِ

wa addib allahumma nazaqa alkhurqi minni bi-azimmati alqunu`i

Chastise, O Allah, the recklessness of my clumsiness with the reins of contentment!

إِلٰهِي إِن لَمْ تَبْتَدِئْنِي ٱلرَّحْمَةُ مِنْكَ بِحُسْنِ ٱلتَّوْفِيقِ

ilahi in lam tabtadi'ni alrrahmatu minka bihusni alttawfiqi

My God, if mercy from You does not begin with fair success for me,

فَمَنِ ٱلسَّاِلكُ بِي إِلَيْكَ فِي وَاضِحِ ٱلطَّرِيقِ

faman alssaliku bi ilayka fi wadihi alttariqi

then who can take me to You upon the evident path?

وَإِنْ أَسْلَمَتْنِي أَنَاتُكَ لِقَائِدِ ٱلأَمَلِ وَٱلْمُنَىٰ

wa in aslamatni anatuka liqa'idi al-amali walmuna

If Your deliberateness should turn me over to the guide of hope and wishes,

فَمَنِ ٱلْمُقِيلُ عَثَرَاتِي مِنْ كَبَوَاتِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ

faman almuqilu `atharati min kabawati alhawa

then who will annul my slips from the stumbles of caprice?

وَإِنْ خَذَلَنِي نَصْرُكَ عِنْدَ مُحَارَبَةِ ٱلنَّفْسِ وَٱلشَّيْطَانِ

wa in khadhalani nasruka `inda muharabati alnnafsi walshshaytani

If Your help should forsake me in the battle against the soul and Satan,

فَقَدْ وَكَلَنِي خِذْلاَنُكَ إِلَىٰ حَيْثُ ٱلنَّصَبِ وَٱلْحِرْمَانِ

faqad wakalani khidhlanuka ila haythu alnnasabi walhirmani

then Your forsaking will have submitted me to where there is hardship and deprivation.

إِلٰهِي أَتَرَانِي مَا أَتَيْتُكَ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ ٱلآمَاِل

ilahi atarani ma ataytuka illa min haythu al-amali

My God, do You see that I have only come to You from the direction of hopes,

أَمْ عَلِقْتُ بِأَطْرَافِ حِبَاِلكَ إِلاَّ حِينَ بَاعَدَتْنِي ذُنُوبِي عَنْ دَارِ ٱلْوِصَاِل

am `aliqtu bi-atrafi hibalika illa hina ba`adatni dhunubi `an dari alwisali

or clung to the ends of Your cords when my sins have driven me from the house of union?

فَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَطِيَّةُ الَّتِي ٱمْتَطَتْ نَفْسِي مِنْ هَوَاهَا

fabi'sa almatiyyatu allati imtatat nafsi min hawaha

So what an evil mount upon which my soul has mounted-its caprice!

فَوَاهاً لَهَا لِمَا سَوَّلَتْ لَهَا ظُنُونُهَا وَمُنَاهَا

fawahan laha lima sawwalat laha zununuha wa munaha

Woe upon it for being seduced by its own opinions and wishes!

وَتَبّاً لَهَا لِجُرْأَتِهَا عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِهَا وَمَوْلاهَا

wa tabban laha lijur'atiha `ala sayyidiha wa mawlaha

Destruction be upon it for its audacity toward its Master and Protector!

إِلٰهِي قَرَعْتُ بَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ بِيَدِ رَجَائِي

ilahi qara`tu baba rahmatika biyadi raja'i

My God, I have knocked upon the door of Your mercy with the hand of my hope,

وَهَرَبْتُ إِلَيْكَ لاَجِئاً مِنْ فَرْطِ أَهْوَائِي

wa harabtu ilayka laji'an min farti ahwa'i

fled to You seeking refuge from my excessive caprice,

وَعَلَّقْتُ بِأَطْرَافِ حِبَاِلكَ أَنَامِلَ وَلائِي

wa `allaqtu bi-atrafi hibalika anamila wala'i

and fixed the fingers of my love to the ends of Your cords.

فَٱصْفَحِ اللَّهُمَّ عَمَّا كُنتُ أَجْرَمْتُهُ مِنْ زَلَلِي وَخَطَائِي

fasfah allahumma `amma kuntu ajramtuhu min zalali wa khata'i

So pardon, O Allah, the slips and errors I have committed,

وَأَقِلْنِي مِنْ صَرْعَةِ رِدَائِي

wa aqilni min sar`ati rida'i

and release me from the foot-tangling of my robe,

فَإِنَّكَ سَيِّدِي وَمَوْلايَ وَمُعْتَمَدِي وَرَجَائِي

fa'innaka sayyidi wa mawlaya wa mu`tamadi wa raja'i

for You are my Master, my Protector, my Support and my Hope,

وَأَنتَ غَايَةُ مَطْلُوبِي وَمُنَايَ فِي مُنْقَلَبِي وَمَثْوايَ

wa anta ghayatu matlubi wa munaya fi munqalabi wa mathwaya

and You are the object of my search and my desire in my ultimate end and stable abode.

إِلٰهِي كَيْفَ تَطْرُدُ مِسْكِيناً ٱلْتَجَأَ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ ٱلذُّنُوبِ هَارِباً

ilahi kayfa tatrudu miskinan iltaja'a ilayka mina aldhdhunubi hariban

My God, how could You drive away a poor beggar who seeks refuge in You from sins, fleeing?

أَم كَيْفَ تُخَيِّبُ مُستَرْشِداً قَصَدَ إِلَىٰ جَنَابِكَ سَاعِياً

am kayfa tukhayyibu mustarshidan qasada ila janabika sa`iyan

How could You disappoint one seeking guidance who repairs to Your threshold, running?

أَمْ كَيْفَ تَرُدُّ ظَمْآناً وَرَدَ إِلَىٰ حِيَاضِكَ شَارِباً

am kayfa taruddu zam'anan warada ila hiyadika shariban

How could You reject a thirsty man who comes to Your pools to drink?

كَلاَّ وَحِيَاضُكَ مُتْرَعَةٌ فِي ضَنْكِ ٱلْمُحُولِ

kalla wa hiyaduka mutra`atun fi danki almuhuli

Never! For Your pools are full in the hardship of drought,

وَبَابُكَ مَفْتُوحٌ لِلطَّلَبِ وَٱلْوُغُولِ

wa babuka maftuhun lilttalabi walwughuli

Your door is open for seeking and penetration,

وَأَنتَ غَايَةُ ٱلْمَسْؤُولِ وَنِهَايَةُ ٱلْمَأْمُولِ

wa anta ghayatu almas'uli wa nihayatu alma'muli

and You are the goal of requests and the object of hopes.

إِلٰهِي هٰذِهِ أَزِمَّةُ نَفْسِي عَقَلْتُهَا بِعِقَاِل مَشِيئَتِكَ

ilahi hadhihi azimmatu nafsi `aqaltuha bi`iqali mashi'atika

My God, these are the reins of my soul I have bounded with the ties of Your will.

وَهٰذِهِ أَعْبَاءُ ذُنُوبِي دَرَاْتُهَا بِعَفْوِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ

wa hadhihi a`ba'u dhunubi dara'tuha bi`afwika wa rahmatika

These are the burdens of my sins I have averted with Your pardon and mercy.

وَهٰذِهِ أَهْوَائِيَ ٱلْمُضِلَّةُ وَكَلْتُهَا إِلَىٰ جَنَابِ لُطفِكَ وَرَاْفَتِكَ

wa hadhihi ahwa'i almudillatu wakaltuha ila janabi lutfika wa ra'fatika

These are my misleading caprices I have referred to the threshold of Your gentleness and kindliness.

فَٱجْعَلِ ٱللَّهُمَّ صَبَاحِي هٰذَا نَازِلاً عَلَيَّ بِضِيَاءِ ٱلْهُدَىٰ

faj`al allahumma sabahi hadha nazilan `alayya bidiya'i alhuda

So, make this morning of mine, O Allah, descend upon me with the radiance of guidance

وَبِٱلسَّلاَمَةِ فِي ٱلدِّينِ وَٱلدُّنْيَا

wa bilssalamati fi alddini walddunya

and safety in religion and this world!

وَمَسَائِيَ جُنَّةً مِنْ كَيْدِ ٱلْعِدَىٰ

wa masa'i junnatan min kaydi al`ida

And [make] my evening a shield against the deception of enemies

وَوِقَايَةً مِنْ مُرْدِيَاتِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ

wa wiqayatan min murdiyati alhawa

and a protection against the destructive blows of caprice!

إِنَّكَ قَادِرٌ عَلَىٰ مَا تَشَاءُ

innaka qadirun `ala ma tasha'u

Verily, You have power to do what You will!

تُؤْتِي ٱلْمُلْكَ مَنْ تَشَاءُ

tu'ti almulka man tasha'u

You give the kingdom to whom You will,

وَتَنْزِعُ ٱلْمُلْكَ مِمَّن تَشَاءُ

wa tanzi`u almulka mimman tasha'u

seize the kingdom from whom You will,

وَتُعِزُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ

wa tu`izzu man tasha'u

exalt whom You will,

وَتُذِلُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ

wa tudhillu man tasha'u

and abase whom You will.

بِيَدِكَ ٱلْخَيرُ

biyadika alkhayru

In Your hand is the good

إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

innaka `ala kulli shay'in qadirun

and You are powerful over all things.

تُولِجُ ٱللَّيْلَ فِي ٱلنَّهَارِ

tuliju allayla fi alnnahari

You make the night to enter into the day,

وَتُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِي ٱللَّيْلِ

wa tuliju alnnahara fi allayli

make the day to enter into the night,

وَتُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَيَّ مِنَ ٱلمَيِّتِ

wa tukhriju alhayya mina almayyiti

bring forth the living from the dead,

وَتُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتَ مِنَ ٱلحَيِّ

wa tukhriju almayyita mina alhayyi

bring forth the dead from the living,

وَتَرْزُقُ مَنْ تَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ

wa tarzuqu man tasha'u bighayri hisabin

and provide whomsoever You will without measure!

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ أَنتَ

la ilaha illa anta

There is no god but You!

سُبْحَانَكَ ٱللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ

subhanaka allahumma wa bihamdika

Glory be to You, O Allah, and Yours is the praise!

مَنْ ذَا يَعْرِفُ قَدْرَكَ فَلاَ يَخَافُكَ

man dha ya`rifu qadraka fala yakhafuka

Who knows Your measure and yet does not fear You?

وَمَن ذَا يَعْلَمُ مَا أَنتَ فَلاَ يَهَابُكَ

wa man dha ya`lamu ma anta fala yahabuka

Who knows what You are and yet does not stand in awe of You?

أَلَّفْتَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ ٱلْفِرَقَ

allafta biqudratika alfiraqa

Through Your power, You have joined disparate things,

وَفَلَقْتَ بِلُطْفِكَ ٱلْفَلَقَ

wa falaqta bilutfika alfalaqa

through Your gentleness, You have cleaved apart the daybreak,

وَأَنَرْتَ بِكَرَمِكَ ديَاجِيَ ٱلْغَسَقِ

wa anarta bikaramika dayajiya alghasaqi

through Your generosity, You have illumined the dark shrouds of night,

وَأَنْهَرْتَ ٱلْمِيَاهَ مِنَ ٱلصُّمِّ ٱلصَّيَاخِيدِ عَذْباً وَأُجَاجاً

wa anharta almiyaha mina alssummi alssayakhidi `adhban wa ujajan

made waters, sweet and salt, flow forth from hard shining stones,

وَأَنزَلْتَ مِنَ ٱلمُعْصِرَاتِ مَاءً ثَجَّاجاً

wa anzalta mina almu`sirati ma'an thajjajan

sent dawn out of rain-clouds water cascading,

وَجَعَلْتَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ لِلْبَرِيَّةِ سِرَاجاً وَهَّاجاً

wa ja`alta alshshamsa walqamara lilbariyyati sirajan wahhajan

and appointed the sun and the moon a blazing lamp for the creatures

مِنْ غَيْرِ أَن تُمَارِسَ فِيمَا ٱبْتَدَأْتَ بِهِ لُغُوباً وَلاَ عِلاَجاً

min ghayri an tumarisa fima ibtada'ta bihi lughuban wa la `ilajan

without experiencing in that which You originated either weariness or effort.

فَيَا مَنْ تَوَحَّدَ بِٱلْعِزِّ وَٱلْبَقَاءِ

faya man tawahhada bil`izzi walbaqa'i

So, O He Who is alone in might and subsistence

وَقَهَرَ عِبَادَهُ بِٱلْمَوْتِ وَٱلْفَنَاءِ

wa qahara `ibadahu bilmawti walfana'i

and dominates His slaves with death and annihilation,

صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ ٱلأَتْقِيَاءِ

salli `ala muhammadin wa alihi al-atqiya'i

(please) bless Muhammad and his household, the god-fearing,

وَٱسْمَعْ نِدَائِي وَٱسْتَجِبْ دُعَائِي

wasma` nida'i wastajib du`a'i

answer my supplication, hear my call,

وَحَقِّقْ بِفَضْلِكَ أَمَلِي وَرَجَائِي

wa haqqiq bifadlika amali wa raja'i

and actualize through Your favor my hope and desire.

يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ دُعِيَ لِكَشْفِ ٱلضُّرِّ

ya khayra man du`iya likashfi alddurri

O Best of those who are called to remove affliction

وَٱلْمَأْمُولِ فِي كُلِّ عُسْرٍ وَيُسْرٍ

walma'muli fi kulli `usrin wa yusrin

and object of hope in difficulty and ease!

بِكَ أَنزَلْتُ حَاجَتِي فَلاَ تَرُدَّنِي مِنْ سَنِيِّ مَوَاهِبِكَ خَائِباً

bika anzaltu hajati fala taruddani min saniyyi mawahibika kha'iban

I have stated my need to You; so, do not reject me despairing of Your exalted gifts.

يَا كَرِيمُ يَا كَرِيمُ يَا كَرِيمُ

ya karimu ya karimu ya karimu

O All-generous! O All-generous! O All-generous!

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

birahmatika ya arhama alrrahimina

By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful!

وَصَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ خَيْرِ خَلْقِهِ

wa salla allahu `ala khayri khalqihi

May Allah bless the best of His creatures,

مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ أَجْمَعِينَ

muhammadin wa alihi ajma`ina

Muhammad, and his entire Household!

Prostrate and say (in Sajdah)

إِلٰهِي قَلْبِي مَحْجُوبٌ

ilahi qalbi mahjubun

My God, my heart is veiled,

وَنَفْسِي مَعْيُوبٌ

wa nafsi ma`yubun

my soul is deficient,

وَعَقْلِي مَغْلُوبٌ

wa `aqli maghlubun

my intelligence is defeated,

وَهَوَائِي غَاِلبٌ

wa hawa'i ghalibun

my caprice is triumphant,

وَطَاعَتِي قَلِيلٌ

wa ta`ati qalilun

my obedience is little,

وَمَعْصِيَتِي كَثِيرٌ

wa ma`siyati kathirun

my disobedience is much,

وَلِسَانِي مُقِرٌّ بِٱلذُّنُوبِ

wa lisani muqirrun bildhdhnubi

and my tongue confesses of sinning;

فَكَيْفَ حِيلَتِي

fakayfa hilati

so, what am I to do?

يَا سَتَّارَ ٱلْعُيُوبِ

ya sattara al`uyubi

O He Who covers defects!

وَيَا عَلاَّمَ ٱلْغُيُوبِ

wa ya `allama alghuyubi

O He Who knows the unseen!

وَيَا كَاشِفَ ٱلْكُرُوبِ

wa ya kashifa alkurubi

O He Who removes troubles!

إِغْفِر ذُنُوبِي كُلَّهَا

ighfir dhunubi kulliha

Forgive my sins, all of them,

بِحُرْمَةِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

bihurmati muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

in the name of the sacredness of Muhammad and the household of Muhammad!

يَا غَفَّارُ يَا غَفَّارُ يَا غَفَّارُ

ya ghaffaru ya ghaffaru ya ghaffaru

O All-forgiver! O All-forgiver! O All-forgiver!

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا ارْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

birahmatika ya arhama alrrahimina

By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful!

Dua After Salat Fajr

اَللَّهُمَّ مَا قُلْتُ فِي جُمُعَتِي هٰذِهِ مِنْ قَوْلٍ

allahumma ma qultu fi jumu`ati hadhihi min qawlin

O Allah, whatever saying I have uttered this week,

أَوْ حَلَفْتُ فِيهَا مِنْ حَلْفٍ

aw halaftu fiha min halfin

whatever oath I have taken during it,

أَوْ نَذَرْتُ فِيهَا مِنْ نَذْرٍ

aw nadhartu fiha min nadhrin

and whatever vow I have made during it,

فَمَشِيَّتُكَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ ذٰلِكَ كُلِّهِ

famashiyyatuka bayna yaday dhalika kullihi

verily, it is Your will that is before all that.

فَمَا شِئْتَ مِنْهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ كَانَ

fama shi'ta minhu an yakuna kana

Hence, only that which You will to have effect will come to pass

وَمَا لَمْ تَشَأْ مِنْهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ

wa ma lam tasha' minhu lam yakun

and whatever You do not will to have effect will never come to pass.

اَللَّهُمَّ ٱغْفِرْ لِي وَتَجَاوَزْ عَنِّي

allahumma ighfir li wa tajawaz `anni

O Allah, (please) forgive me and overlook my offenses.

اَللَّهُمَّ مَنْ صَلَّيْتَ عَلَيْهِ فَصَلاَتِي عَلَيْهِ

allahumma man sallayta `alayhi fasalati `alayhi

O Allah, whosoever You bless, then I invoke Your blessings upon him

وَمَنْ لَعَنْتَ فَلَعْنَتِي عَلَيْهِ

wa man la`anta fala`nati `alayhi

and whosoever You curse, then I invoke Your curse upon him.

This act should be done once a month at least.
6.Shaykh al-Tusi has recorded that it is highly recommended to say the following prayer after the Dawn Prayer on Fridays:

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي تَعَمَّدْتُ إِلَيْكَ بِحَاجَتِي

allahumma inni ta`ammadtu ilayka bihajati

O Allah, I am resorting to You with my needs,

وَ أَنْزَلْتُ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ فَقْرِي

wa anzaltu ilayka alyawma faqri

and I am putting in Your presence my poverty,

وَفَاقَتِي وَمَسْكَنَتِي

wa faqati wa maskanati

my indigence, and my deprivation.

فَأَنَا لِمَغْفِرَتِكَ أَرْجىٰ مِنِّي لِعَمَلِي

fa-ana limaghfiratika arja minni li`amali

Verily, I hope for Your forgiveness more than I rely on my deeds.

وَلَمَغْفِرَتُكَ وَرَحْمَتُكَ أَوْسَعُ مِنْ ذُنُوبِي

wa lamaghfiratuka wa rahmatuka awsa`u min dhunubi

Indeed, Your forgiveness and Your mercy are more inclusive than my sins are.

فَتَوَلَّ قَضَاءَ كُلِّ حَاجَةٍ لِي بِقُدْرَتِكَ عَلَيْهَا

fatawalla qada'a kulli hajatin li biqudratika `alayha

So, (please) embark on settling all my needs out of Your power over them,

وَتَيسِيرِ ذٰلِكَ عَلَيْكَ

wa taysiri dhalika `alayka

out of the easiness for You to do that,

وَلِفَقْرِي إِلَيْكَ

wa lifaqri ilayka

and out of my urgent need for that.

فَإنِّي لَمْ أُصِبْ خَيْراً قَطُّ إِلاَّ مِنَكَ

fa'inni lam usib khayran qattu illa minka

I have never received anything good except from you.

وَلَمْ يَصْرِفْ عَنِّي سُوءاً قَطُّ أَحَدٌ سِوَاكَ

wa lam yasrif `anni su'an qattu ahadun siwaka

and none could ever repel evil from me except You.

وَلَسْتُ أَرْجُو لآِخِرَتِي وَدُنْيَايَ

wa lastu arju li-akhirati wa dunyaya wa

I hope for none to stand for me in my affairs of this world and the Next World

وَلاَ لِيَوْمِ فَقْرِي

la liyawmi faqri

and on the day of my poverty,

يَوْمَ يُفْرِدُنِي ٱلنَاسُ فِي حُفْرَتِي

yawma yufriduni alnnasu fi hufrati

when people will leave me alone in my hole (i.e. grave)

وَأُفْضي إِلَيْكَ بِذَنْبِي سِوَاكَ

wa ufdi ilayka bidhanbi siwaka

and I will then confess of my sins before You, except You.

7.It has been narrated that one who says the following salwaat after the Fajr Prayers on Fridays, as well as other days, will meet Imam al-Mahdi (peace be upon him) before he dies:

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَجِّلْ فَرَجَهُمْ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin wa `ajjil farajahum

O Allah, bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad and hasten their Reappearance

8. It is recommended to recite Surah al-Rahman (No. 55) after the Fajr Prayer on Fridays and ,wherever the verses, “Then which of the favors of your Lord will ye deny?” are recited to say

لَا بِشَيْءٍ مِن آلَاءِكَ رَبِّي اُكَذِّبُ

la bishay'in min ala'ika rabbi ukadhdhibu.

“None of Your favors do I deny,”

Shaykh al-Tusi has recorded that it is highly recommended to recite Surah al-Tawhid,recite 100 times Salwaat and 100 times isteghfar below

أَسْتَغْفِرُ ٱللَّهَ رَبّي وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

astaghfiru allaha rabbi wa atubu ilayhi

I pray for the forgiveness of Allah—my Lord, and I repent before Him.

Another Dua After Fajr From Imam Jafar Sadiq

اَللَّهُمَّ ٱجْعَلْ صَلاَتَكَ

allahumma ij`al salawatika

O Allah, (please do) let Your blessings

وَصَلاَةَ مَلاَئكَتِكَ وَرُسُلِكَ

wa salata mala'ikatika wa rusulika

and the blessings of Your angels and Messengers

عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ`

ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

be on Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

Friday Duas at When Friday dawns (at fajr), it is recommended to say the following:

أَصْبَحْتُ فِي ذِمَّةِ ٱللَّهِ

asbahtu fi dhimmati allahi

I begin this morning seeking the protection of Allah,

وَذِمَّةِ مَلاَئِكَتِهِ

wa dhimmati mala'ikatihi

the protection of His angels,

وَذِمَمِ أَنْبِيَائِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ عَلَيهِمُ ٱلسَّلاَمُ

wa dhimami anbiya'ihi wa rusulihi `alayhimu alssalamu

the protections of His prophets and messengers, peace be upon them,

وَذِمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

wa dhimmati muhammadin salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi

the protection of Muhammad, peace be upon him and his Household,

وَذِمَمِ ٱلأَوْصِيَاءِ مِنَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّلاَمُ

wa dhimami al-awsiya'i min ali muhammadin `alayhimu alssalamu

and the protections of the Successors from Muhammad’s progeny, peace be upon them.

آمَنْتُ بِسِرِّ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّلاَمُ وَعَلاَنِيَتِهِمْ

amantu bisirri ali muhammadin `alayhimu alssalamu wa `alaniyatihim

I believe in the secrets of Muhammad’s progeny, peace be upon them, and in their open affairs

وَظَاهِرِهِمْ وَبَاطِنِهِمْ

wa zahirihim wa batinihim

and in their exoteric and their esoteric affairs.

وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّهُمْ فِي عِلْمِ ٱللَّهِ وَطَاعَتِهِ

wa ash-hadu annahum fi `ilmi allahi wa ta`atihi

I bear witness that they, as regarding their knowledge of Allah and their obedience to Him,

كَمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

ka-muhammadin salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi

are just like Muhammad, peace be upon him and his Household.

Recite 2 Rakat Nafila of Fajr,
4.In his book of al-`Arus, Shaykh Ja`far ibn Ahmad al-Qummi has recorded that Imam al-Sadiq (as) is reported to have said that one who repeats the following litany one hundred times between the Dawn nafila (2 rakat before fajr) and obligatory prayers will be provided with, a house in Paradise:

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ ٱلْعَظيمِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ

subhana rabbiya al`azimi wa bihamdihi

All glory be to Allah, the All-great and with the Praising of Him;

اسْتَغْفِرُ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّي وَاتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

astaghfiru allaha rabbi wa atubu ilayhi

I pray the forgiveness of Allah, my Lord, and I turn repentant to Him.

Two Quranic Ayats, Sura 65 Talaq Ayat 2(last part)and Ayt 3 recited after the fajr prayer,
These are recited for relief from an apparently hopeless situation (especially economic)
Background: The story of precious pearl broken into 2 pieces by negligence of a king’s servant, turning out to be a blessing in disguise, by reciting this dua taught by Imam Ali علیه السلام. Dua can be used in the difficult economic situation, which may sometimes be self-inflicted.

ۚ وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مَخْرَجًا

wa maiyn yattaqil laaha yaj'al lahoo makhrajaa

Whoever is wary of Allah, He shall make for him a way out [of the adversities of the world and the Hereafter]

وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ ۚ

Wa yarzuqhu min haisu laa yahtasib;

and provide for him from whence he does not count upon.

وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُۥٓ ۚ

wa many yatawakkal 'alal laahi fahuwa husbuh;

And whoever puts his trust in Allah, He will suffice him.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَـٰلِغُ أَمْرِهِۦ ۚ قَدْ جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدْرًا

innal laaha baalighu amrih; qad ja'alal laahu likulli shai'in qadraa

Indeed Allah carries through His commands. Certainly, Allah has ordained a measure [and extent] for everything.

Imam Ali (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever recites these six verses every morning, Allah will protect them from any adversity, even if they were already in danger.”

*قُل لَّن يُصِيبَنَا إِلَّا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّـهُ لَنَا هُوَ مَوْلَانَا ۚ وَعَلَى اللَّـهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ*

"Say, ‘Nothing will befall us except what Allah has ordained for us. He is our Master, and in Allah let the faithful trust.'"(al-Tawbah, 9:51)

*وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ اللَّـهُ بِضُرٍّ فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهُ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ وَإِن يُرِدْكَ بِخَيْرٍ فَلَا رَادَّ لِفَضْلِهِ ۚ يُصِيبُ بِهِ مَن يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ ۚ وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ*

"Should Allah visit you with some distress, there is no one to remove it except Him; and should He desire any good for you, none can stand in the way of His grace: He grants it to whomever He wishes of His servants, and He is the All-forgiving, the All-merciful.." (Yunus, 10:107)

*وَمَا مِن دَابَّةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا عَلَى اللَّـهِ رِزْقُهَا وَيَعْلَمُ مُسْتَقَرَّهَا وَمُسْتَوْدَعَهَا ۚ كُلٌّ فِي كِتَابٍ مُّبِينٍ*

"There is no moving creature on earth but its sustenance dependeth on Allah: He knoweth the time and place of its definite abode and its temporary deposit: All is in a clear Record".( Hud, 11:6 )

*وَكَأَيِّن مِّن دَابَّةٍ لَّا تَحْمِلُ رِزْقَهَا اللَّـهُ يَرْزُقُهَا وَإِيَّاكُمْ ۚ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ*

"How many an animal there is that does not carry its own provision. Allah provides them and you, and He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing"(al-'Ankabut, 29:60)

*مَّا يَفْتَحِ اللَّـهُ لِلنَّاسِ مِن رَّحْمَةٍ فَلَا مُمْسِكَ لَهَا ۖ وَمَا يُمْسِكْ فَلَا مُرْسِلَ لَهُ مِن بَعْدِهِ ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ*

"What Allah out of his Mercy doth bestow on mankind there is none can withhold: what He doth withhold, there is none can grant, apart from Him: and He is the Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom.."(al-Fatir, 35:2)

*وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّـهُ ۚ قُلْ أَفَرَأَيْتُم مَّا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّـهِ إِنْ أَرَادَنِيَ اللَّـهُ بِضُرٍّ هَلْ هُنَّ كَاشِفَاتُ ضُرِّهِ أَوْ أَرَادَنِي بِرَحْمَةٍ هَلْ هُنَّ مُمْسِكَاتُ رَحْمَتِهِ ۚ قُلْ حَسْبِيَ اللَّـهُ عَلَيْهِ يَتَوَكَّلُ الْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ*

"If you ask them, ‘Who created the heavens and the earth?’ they will surely say, ‘Allah.’ Say, ‘Have you considered what you invoke besides Allah? Should Allah desire some distress for me, can they remove the distress visited by Him? Or should He desire some mercy for me, can they withhold His mercy?’ Say, ‘Allah is sufficient for me. In Him let all the trusting put their trust." (al-Zumar, 39:38)

*After reciting above verses say:*

*حسْبِیَ اللَّهُ لا إِلهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَیْهِ تَوَکَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِیمِ‏ وَأَمْتَنِعُ بِحَوْلِ اللَّهِ وَقُوَّتِهِ مِنْ حَوْلِهِمْ وَقُوَّتِهِمْ وَأَسْتَشْفِعُ‏ بِرَبِّ‏ الْفَلَقِ‏ مِنْ شَرِّ ما خَلَقَ‏ وَأَعُوذُ بِمَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَا قُوَّهَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِیِّ الْعَظِیمِ.*

"Say, ‘Allah is sufficient for me. There is no god except Him. In Him, I put my trust, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne. I seek protection in Allah's Power and Strength from that of others, and I ask the intercession of the Lord of the Daybreak from the evil of what He has created. I seek refuge in what Allah wills; there is no power except with Allah, the Exalted, the Magnificent.'"

supplication after the morning prayers

اِلٰہِیْ ہٰذِہٖ صَلَاتِیْ صَلَّیْتُہَا لَا لِحَاجَۃٍ مِنْکَ اِلَیْہَا، وَ لَا رَغْبَۃٍ مِنْکَ فِیْہَا اِلَّا تَعْظِیْمًا وَ طَاعَۃً وَ اِجَابَۃً لَکَ اِلٰی مَا اَمَرْتَنِیْ بِہٖ. اِلٰہِیْ اِنْ کَانَ فِیْہَا خَلَلٌ اَوْ نَقْصٌ مِنْ رُکُوْعِہَا اَوْ سُجُوْدِہَا، فَلَا تُؤَاخِذْنِیْ وَ تَفَضَّلَ عَلَیَّ بِالْقُبُوْلِ وَ الْغُفْرَانِ بِرَحْمَتِکَ یَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِیْنَ.

Elaahee Haazehi Salaatee Sallaytohaa Laa Le-Haajatin Minka Elayhaa, Wa Laa Raghbatin Minka Feehaa Illaa Ta’zeeman Wa Taa-A’tan Wa Ejaabatan Laka Elaa Maa Amartanee Behi. Elaahee In Kaana Feehaa Khalalun Aw Naqsum Min Rokoo-E’haa Aw Sojoodehaa, Falaa To-Aakhiznee Wa Tafazzal A’layya Bil-Qaboole Wal Ghufraane Be-Rahmateka Yaa Arhamar Raahemeen.

O Allah! This is my prayer that I have just offered on account of neither a need that You may have for it nor a desire that You may have for it; rather, it is only glorification of You, obedience to You, and response to You to carry out what You have ordered me to do. O my God: If there is a defect or a deficiency in my prayer, whether in the genuflection or the prostration; then do not reproach me for it; rather, confer upon me with Your acceptance (of it) and forgiveness (of me) by Your Mercy, O the Most Merciful!

Imam Sadiq(as) said to recite this times after Magrib and Fajr

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

أَسْتَعِيذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ اكْتُبَا رَحِمَكُمَا اللَّهُ

Astaghfirullahi minash-shaytanir-rajeem. Iktubaa rahimakumallah.'

"I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan. Write (it), may Allah have mercy on you both."

Then say

أَمْسَيْتُ وَ أَصْبَحْتُ بِاللَّهِ مُؤْمِناً عَلَى دِينِ مُحَمَّدٍ (صلّى اللهُ عليه وآله) وَ سُنَّتِهِ و عَلَى دِينِ عَلِيٍّ (عليه السَّلامُ) وَ سُنَّتِهِ وَ عَلَى دِينِ فَاطِمَةَ (عليها السَّلامُ) وَ سُنَّتِهَا وَ عَلَى دِينِ الْأَوْصِيَاءِ صَلَواتُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَسُنَّتِهِمْ آمَنْتُ بِسِرِّهِمْ وَعَلَانِيَتِهِمْ وَبِغَيْبِهِمْ وَشَهَادَتِهِمْ وَأَسْتَعِيذُ بِاللَّهِ فِي لَيْلَتِي هَذِهِ وَيَوْمِي هَذَا مِمَّا اسْتَعَاذَ مِنْهُ مُحَمَّدٌ وَعَلِيٌّ وَفَاطِمَةُ وَالْأَوْصِيَاءُ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَرْغَبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ فِيمَا رَغِبُوا فِيهِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ.

'Amsaytu wa 'asbahtu billāhi mu'minan 'alā dīni Muḥammadin (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-ālihī wa-sallam) wa sunnatihi wa 'alā dīni 'Alīyyin (ʿalayhi as-salām) wa sunnatihi wa 'alā dīni Fāṭimata (ʿalayha as-salām) wa sunnatiha wa 'alā dīni al-'awṣiyā'i ṣalawātu Allāhi ʿalayhim was-sunnatihim. Āmantu bisirrihim wa 'alāniyatihim wa bighaybihim wa shahādatihim wa astaʿīthu bi-Allāhi fī laylatī hādhā wayamī hādhā mimma ista'ādha minhu Muḥammadun Wa'aliyyun wa-Fatimatu wal-Awsiyaa'u salla Allahu 'alayhim wa-arghabu ila Allahi feema raghibu fihi wa-la hawla wa-la quwwata illa billah..

I have become a believer in Allah, on the religion of Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his Sunnah, on the religion of Ali (peace be upon him) and his Sunnah, and on the religion of Fatima (peace be upon her) and her Sunnah, and the religion of the Awsiya (peace be upon them) and their Sunnah. I believe in their secrets and their public actions, and I seek refuge in Allah in this night of mine and in my day from what Muhammad, Ali, Fatima, and the Awsiya sought refuge from. I ask Allah for what they asked for, and there is no power or strength except in Allah.

Importance of a ring of Aqeeq and looking at it in the morning and while praying .
Thirty-eighth: Sayyid Ibn Tawus has reported Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (‘a) as saying that whoever begins his morning wearing a ring of an agate stone in the right hand, turns the stone of the ring to the side of the palm of the hand before looking at anything else, looks at the stone, recites Surah al-Qadr, and says this devotional statement, Almighty Allah will safeguard him on that day from whatever descends from the heavens, whatever ascends to it, whatever comes into the earth, and whatever comes out of it, and he will be under the protection of Almighty Allah and one of his beloved servants up to the night:

اٰمَنْتُ بِاللهِ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ وَ كَفَرْتُ بِالْجِبْتِ وَ الطَّاغُوْتِ،وَ اٰمَنْتُ بِسِرِّ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلَانِيَتِهِمْ،وَ ظَاهِرِهِمْ وَ بَاطِنِهِمْ وَ اَوَّلِهِمْ وَ اٰخِرِهِمْ۔

"Amantu billahi waḥdahu lā sharīka lahū wa kafartu bil-jibt wa al-ṭāghūt, wa amantu bi-sirri āli Muḥammadin wa ʿalāniyatihim, wa ẓāhirihim wa bāṭinihim wa awwalihim wa ākhirihim.

I believe in Allah alone, with no partners, and I reject idols and false deities. I believe in the secrets and manifestations of the family of Muhammad, their outward and inward qualities, their beginning and their end

In al-Faqeeh: The Holy Prophet (s.a.w) used to say after the Fajr prayer

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَ الْحُزْنِ وَ الْعَجْزِ وَ الْكَسَلِ وَ الْبُخْلِ وَ الْجُبْنِ وَ ضَلْعِ الدَّيْنِ وَ غَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ وَ بَوَارِ الْاَيَّمِ وَ الْغَفْلَةِ وَ الذِّلَّةِ وَ الْقَسْوَةِ وَ الْعَيْلَةِ وَ الْمَسْكَنَةِ

allaahumma innee a-o’ozo beka menal hamme wal huzne wal a’jze wal kasale wal bukhle wal jubne wa zal-i’d dayne wa ghalabatir rejaale wa bawaaril ayyaame wal ghaflate waz zillate wal qaswate wal a’ylate wal maskanate

O Allah! I seek protection with You from grief and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, turning away from the truth and idle talk of men, wasting time and negligence, vileness and cruelty, destitution and poverty.

وَ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ نَفْسٍ لَا تَشْبَعُ وَ مِنْ قَلْبٍ لَا يَخْشَعُ وَ مِنْ عَيْنٍ لَا تَدْمَعُ وَ مِنْ دُعَاءٍ لَا يُسْمَعُ وَ مِنْ صَلَاةٍ لَا تَنْفَعُ (تُرْفَعُ)

wa a-o’ozo beka min nafsin laa tashba-o’ wa min qalbin laa yakhsha-o’ wa min a’ynin laa tadma-o’ wa min do-a’a-in laa yusma-o’ wa min salaatin laa tanfa-o’ (turfa-o’)

And I seek protection with You from the self that never gets satisfied, the heart that does not humble itself, the eye that does not shed tears, the supplication that is not heard, the prayer that does not benefit.

وَ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنِ امْرَاَةٍ تُشَيِّبُنِيْ قَبْلَ اَوَانَ مَشِيْبِيْ وَ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ وَلَدٍ يَكُوْنُ عَلَيَّ رِبًّا وَ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ مَالٍ يَكُوْنُ عَلَيَّ عَذَابًا وَ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ صَاحِبِ خَدِيْعَةٍ اِنْ رَاَى حَسَنَةٍ دَفَنَهَا وَ اِنْ رَاَىْ سَيِّئَةً اَفْشَاهَا.

wa a-o’ozo beka menim ra-atin toshayyebonee qabla awaana masheebee wa a-o’ozo beka min waladin yakoono a’layya ribban wa a-o’ozo beka min maalin yakoono a’layya a’zaaban wa a-o’ozo beka min saahebe khadee-a’tin in ra-ay hasanatin da-fa-nahaa wa in ra-ay sayye-atan afshaahaa.

And I seek protection with You from a woman who makes me old before my time, and I seek protection with You from a son who subjugates me, and I seek protection with You from wealth that is a torment for me, and I seek protection from the deceiver who conceals any good that he sees and propagates any evil that he sees.

اَللّٰهُمَّ لَا تَجْعَلْ لِفَاجِرٍ عَلَیَّ (عِنْدِيْ) يَدًا وَ لَا مِنَّةً.‏

allahumma laa taj-a’l le-faajerin a’layya (i’ndee) yadan wa laa minnatan.

O Allah! Do not let an insolent one ever do me a favor and do not make him expect anything from me.

Dua From Holy Prophet (s.a.w) From Mufeed al-Deen in al-Majaalis

Narrated from Abi Barzah al-Aslami from his father who said: When the Holy Prophet (s.a.w) had offered the Fajr Prayer, he (s.a.w) raised his voice until his companions could hear him say the foll three times each

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَصْلِحْ لِيْ دِيْنِيَ الَّذِيْ جَعَلْتَهٗ لِيْ عِصْمَةً.

allaahumma asleh lee deeneyal lazee ja-a’ltahu lee i’smatan.

O Allah! Set right for me the religion that You have made a safeguard for me.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَصْلِحْ لِي دُنْيَايَ الَّتِيْ جَعَلْتَ فِيْهَا مَعَاشِيْ.

allaahumma asleh lee dunyaayal latee ja-a’lta feehaa ma-a’ashee.

O Allah! Set right for me this world that You have made me live in.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَصْلِحْ لِيْ آخِرَتِيَ الَّتِيْ جَعَلْتَ اِلَيْهَا مَرْجَعِيْ.

allaahumma asleh lee aakherateyal latee ja-a’lta elayhaa marja-e’e.

O Allah! Set right for me my hereafter that you have made my place of return.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَعُوْذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ وَ اَعُوْذُ بِعَفْوِكَ مِنْ نِقْمَتِكَ.

allaahumma innee a-o’ozo berezaaka min sakhateka wa a-o’ozo be-a’fweka min niqmateka.

O Allah! I seek refuge with Your pleasure from Your ire and I seek refuge with Your forgiveness from Your wrath.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا اَعْطَيْتَ وَ لَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَ لَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ.

allaahumma innee a-o’ozo beka laa maane-a’ lemaa a-a’tayta wa laa mo’teya lemaa mana’ta wa laa yanfa-o’ zal jadde minkaljaddo.

O Allah! I seek refuge with You – nobody can deny to the one whom You have given, and nobody can give to the one whom You have denied and nobody’s efforts come to fruition without You.

اَللّٰهُمَّ مَتِّعْنِيْ بِسَمْعِيْ وَ بَصَرِيْ وَ اجْعَلْهُمَا الْوَارِثَيْنِ مِنِّيْ وَ اَرِنِيْ ثَارِيْ مِنْ عَدُوِّيْ.

allaahumma matte’nee be-sam-e’e wa basaree waj a’lhomal waaresayne minnee wa arenee saaree min a’duwwee.

O Allah! Grant me the use of my hearing and sight and let them stay with me till my death and show me the destruction of my enemies.

[2]al-Majlisi quotes it from Behaar al-Anwaar, vol. 86, p. 130 From Sayyid Ibn Taaoos in al-Iqbaal: Narrated from Ja’far ibn Muhammad (a.s.) from his father (a.s.), who said in a hadees:

When the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) had completed his Morning Prayer, he (s.a.w.a.) would (continue to) face the Qiblah until sunrise, invoking Allah the Almighty (s.w.t.). At this time, Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s.) would come forward and sit behind the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) and the people would come to seek permission to ask for their needs, and this is what the Prophet of Allah (s.a.w.a.) had instructed them to do.[3]Iqbaal al-Aamaal, p. 320; Behaar al-Anwaar, vol. 35, p. 289

Syeda Fatima Zehra (s.a) supplication after the Morning Prayer

لَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللہُ وَحْدَہٗ لَا شَرِیْكَ لَہٗ، لَہُ الْمُلْكُ وَ لَہُ الْحَمْدُ، یُحْیِیْ وَ یُمِیْتُ، بِیَدِہِ الْخَیْرُ، وَ ہُوَ عَلٰی كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِیْرٌ.

laa elaaha illal laaho wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul mulko wa lahul hamdo, yohyee wa yomeeto, be-yadehil khayro, wa howa a’laa kulle shay-in qadeer.

There is no god, except Allah, the one, there is no partner for Him. For Him is the kingdom and for Him is the praise. He enlivens and gives death, in His hands is the good. And He is powerful over everything.

Ten times after the Morning Prayer, and ten times after Maghrib Prayer; all these would earn ten rewards, and ten sins would be forgiven each of them being equal to freeing slave from the progeny of Ismail, and no sin would be there on anyone, except the polytheist. And it is protection for you from all Satans and all evils if you recite between morning and evening

Qutub Rawandi reported from Imam Ali (as) that the Holy Prophet (saws) has stated, that he was afraid for him who does not remember the 4 blessings at dawn & as a result , may be snatched away from him

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِيْ‏ عَرَّفَنِيْ‏ نَفْسَهٗ‏ وَ لَمْ يَتْرُكْنِيْ عَمْيَانَ الْقَلْبِ

alh'amdu lillaahil lad'ee a'rrafnee nafsahoo wa lam yatruknee u'myaanal qalbi

All Praise to Allah who made Himself known to me & did not make me blind hearted

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِيْ جَعَلَنِيْ مِنْ اُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَ اٰلِہ

alh'amdu lillaahil lad'ee ja-a'lanee min ummati muh'ammadin s'allallaahu a'layji wa aalihee wa sallam

All Praise to Allah who included me among the followers of Muhammad (saws)

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِيْ جَعَلَ رِزْقِيْ فِيْ يَدَيْهِ وَ لَمْ يَجْعَلْ رِزْقِيْ فِي اَيْدِيْ النَّاسِ

alh'amdu lillaahil lad'ee ja-a'la rizqee fee yadihee wa lam yaj-a'lhu fee aydin naasi

All Praise to Allah who has ordained my sustenance to be in HIS own hands & not in the hands of human beings

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِيْ سَتَرَ ذُنُوْبِيْ وَ عُيُوْبِيْ وَ لَمْ يَفْضَحْنِيْ بَيْنَ الْخَلَایِقِ.

alh'amdu lillaahil lad'ee satara u'yoobee wa lam yafz'ah'nee baynan naasi

All Praise to Allah who has covered my sins & shortcomings & did not degrade me in the eyes of Human beings

Alternate translation

Praise be to Allah who made me aware of His nafs (reality) and did not forsake me to be one of those whose hearts do not perceive.
Praise to be Allah who gave me (wisdom) to follow and obey Muhammad, blessings of Allah be on him and on his children, and also peace.
Praise be to Allah who has kept my sustenance in His (own) hand and did not give it to other people (like me) from whom I may have to seek it.
Praise be to Allah who covers my defects and shortcomings and does not disclose my infamy among the people. Praise be to Allah, the one and only.

Three Supplications(i,ii,iii below) taught by Sayyid Muhammad al-Sultanabadi to Shaykh Muhammad Sadiq al-`Iraqi (through Imam Mahdi - peace be upon him) that alleviated his extreme grief and poverty,
(i) He taught him that he, after the Dawn Prayers, should put his hand on his chest and repeat seventy times the phrase of:

يَا فَتَّاحُ

Ya fattahu

O Opener

(ii) He taught him to regularly say the following supplicatory prayer that, as is recorded in al-Kafi, the Holy Prophet (s) taught to one of his companions who had been afflicted by disease and poverty. Soon after that, the man recovered health and got rid of poverty. The supplication is this:

لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاََّ بِٱللَّهِ

la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahi

There is neither might nor power except with Allah.

تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحَيِّ ٱلَّذِي لاَ يَمُوتُ

tawakkaltu `ala alhayyi alladhi la yamutu

I put my trust in the Ever-living (Lord) Who never dies.

وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَداً

walhamdu lillahi alladhi lam yattakhidh waladan

All praise is due to Allah, Who has not taken a wife or a son

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي ٱلْمُلْكِ

wa lam yakun lahu sharikun fi almulki

and Who has not have a partner in the kingdom,

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ ٱلذُّلِّ

wa lam yakun lahu waliyyun min aldhdhulli

and Who has not have a helper to save Him from disgrace;

وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيراً

wa kabbirhu takbiran

and magnify Him with all magnificence.

(iii) He taught him to say the dua below. In `Uddat al-Da`i, Shaykh Ibn Fahad reports Imam `Ali ibn Musa al-Rida (peace be upon him) to have said: Whoever says the following dua after the Dawn Prayer, will have all his requests made easy-to-gain for him and will be saved by Almighty Allah against every thing that aggrieves him

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ

bismillahi

In the Name of Allah.

وَصَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّد وآلِهِ

wa salla allahu `ala muhammadin wa alihi

May Allah bless Muhammad and his Household.

وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمْرِي إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ

wa ufawwidu amri ila allahi

“I confide my cause unto Allah.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَصيرٌ بِٱلْعِبَادِ

inna allaha basirun bil`ibadi

Surely, Allah is Seer of His slaves.

فَوَقَاهُ ٱللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِ مَا مَكَرُوا

fawaqahu allahu sayyi'ati ma makaru

So, Allah warded off from him the evils which they plotted.”

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ

la ilaha illa anta subhanaka

“There is no god save You. Be You Glorified!

إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ ٱلظَّالِمِيـنَ

inni kuntu mina alzzalimina

Lo! I have been a wrongdoer.

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ مِنَ ٱلغَمِّ

fastajabna lahu wa najjaynahu mina alghammi

Then, We heard his prayer and saved him from the anguish.

وَكَذٰلِكَ نُنْجِي ٱلْمُؤْمِنينَ

wa kadhalika nunji almu'minina

Thus do We save the believers.”

حَسْبُنَا ٱللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ ٱلْوَكِيلُ

hasbuna allahu wa ni`ma alwakilu

“Allah is Sufficient for us! Most Excellent is He in Whom we trust.

فَٱنَقَلَبُوٱ بِنِعْمَةٍ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ وَفَضْلٍ

fanqalabu bini`matin mina allahi wa fadlin

So, they returned with grace and favor from Allah,

لَمْ يَمْسَسْهُمْ سُوءٌ

lam yamsas-hum su'un

and no harm touched them.”

مَا شَاءَ ٱللَّهُ

ma sha'a allahu

Only that which Allah wills shall come to pass.

لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِٱللَّهِ

la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahi

There is neither strength nor power save with Allah.

مَا شَاءَ ٱللَّهُ لاَ مَا شَاءَ ٱلنَّاسُ

ma sha'a allahu la ma sha'a alnnasu

Only that which Allah, but not people, wills shall come to pass.

مَا شَاءَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِنْ كَرِهَ ٱلنَّاسُ

ma sha'a allahu wa in kariha alnnasu

Only that which Allah wills shall come to pass even if people detest it.

حَسْبِيَ ٱلرَّبُّ مِنَ ٱلْمَرْبُوبِيـنَ

hasbiya alrrabbu mina almarbubina

Sufficient for me is the Lord against the lorded.

حَسْبِيَ ٱلْخَالِقُ مِنَ ٱلْمَخْلُوقِيـنَ

hasbiya alkhaliqu mina almakhluqina

Sufficient for me is the Creator against the creatures.

حَسْبِيَ ٱلرَّازِقُ مِنَ ٱلْمَرْزُوقِيـنَ

hasbiya alrraziqu mina almarzuqina

Sufficient for me is the Sustainer against the sustained.

حَسْبِيَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَالَمِيـنَ

hasbiya allahu rabbu al`alamina

Sufficient for me is Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

حَسْبِي مَنْ هُوَ حَسْبِي

hasbi man huwa hasbi

Sufficient for me is He Who is sufficient for me.

حَسْبِي مَنْ لَمْ يَزَلْ حَسْبِي

hasbi man lam yazal hasbi

Sufficient for me is He Who has been always sufficient for me.

حَسْبِي مَنْ كَانَ مُذْ كُنْتُ لَمْ يَزَلْ حَسْبِي

hasbi man kana mudh kuntu lam yazal hasbi

Sufficient for me is He Who had been since eternity and still sufficient for me.

حَسْبِيَ ٱللَّهُ لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ

hasbiya allahu la ilaha illa huwa

“Allah suffices me. There is no god save Him.

عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ

`alayhi tawakkaltu

In Him have I put my trust,

وَهُوَ رَبُّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

wa huwa rabbu al`arshi al`azimi

and He is the Lord of the Tremendous Throne.''

Sheikh Bahaayi writes regarding the supplications to be recited after the dawn prayer Ref :Miftah ul Falah: p. 206; Misbah ul Muta’hajjid: p. 53 :
While holding your beard with your right hand

يا رَبَّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَعَجِّلْ فَرَجَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ .

“O’ Lord of Mohammad and his Holy Progeny, send mercy upon Mohammad and his Holy Progeny, and show haste in the relief of Mohammad and his Holy Progeny.”

and raising your left hand towards the sky, repeat seven times:
Majlisi (may Allah have mercy on him) in "Al-maqbaas" reported under the topic "The supplication after dawn prayer" that one should recite the following before he talks to any one:

يا رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَعَجِّلْ فَرَجَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَأَعْتِقْ رَقَبَتي مِنَ النَّارِ.

O' my Lord! Send blessing to Muhammad and the family of Muhammad and quicken the relief of Muhammad's family and let me free from Hell fire.

Ch6 - 5 -Imam Reza (a.s.) advised to recite forty one (41) times,

یَا عَزِیْزُ.

YAA A’ZEEZO.

O Mighty.

He said "whoever recites with complete humbleness and humility, paying full attention, in the presence of Almighty Allah, will never be indigent of any creature and will get honor and popularity among the people.”

Imam Ja`far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) is also reported to have said that one who desires to enjoy both the worldly life and the Next World, and one who has eye ache, should say the following prayer after the Dawn and Sunset Prayers

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّد وَآلِ مُحَمَّد عَلَيْ  كَ

allahumma inni as'aluka bihaqqi muhammadin wa ali muhammadin `alayka

O Allah, I do beseech You, in the name of the right of Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad that is incumbent upon You

صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّد وَآلِ مُحَمَّد

salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

to send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَٱجْعَلِ ٱلنُّورَ فِي بَصَرِي

waj`al alnnura fi basari

and to give light to my insight,

وَٱلْبَصِيـرَةَ فِي دِينِي

walbasirata fi dini

make me discerning in my religion,

وَٱلْيَقِيـنَ فِي قَلْبِي

wal-yaqina fi qalbi

have conviction in my heart,

وَٱلإِخْلاَصَ فِي عَمَلِي

wal-ikhlasa fi `amali

sincerity in my deeds,

وَٱلسَّلاَمَةَ فِي نَفْسِي

walssalamata fi nafsi

safety in my self,

وَٱلسَّعَةَ فِي رِزْقِي

walssa`ata fi rizqi

vastness in my sustenance,

وَٱلشُّكْرَ لَكَ أَبَداً مَا أَبْقَيْتَنِي

walshshukra laka abadan ma abqaytani

and perpetual thankfulness for You as long as you keep me alive.

Shaykh al-Kulayni reports Imam Ja`far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) as saying: Whoever repeats the following seven times after the Dawn and Sunset Prayers, Almighty Allah will save him from seventy kinds of misfortune the least of which are , leprosy, and insanity; and his name will be erased from the list of the condemned ones, if it was listed there

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

bismi allahi alrrahmani alrrahimi

In the Name of Allah the All-compassionate, the All-merciful;

لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَةَ إِلاَّ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَلِيِّ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahi al`aliyyi al`azimi

there is neither might nor power save with Allah, the All-high and All-great.

In Tahdhib al-Ahkam (by Shaykh al-Tusi), it is reported that whoever repeats the following ten times after the Dawn Prayers, Almighty Allah will save him from blindness, insanity, leprosy, poverty, and (house) demolition or dotage:

سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ

subhana allahi al`azimi wa bihamdihi

All glory be to Allah, the All-great and in praise of Him;

وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَةَ إِلاَّ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَلِيِّ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahi al`aliyyi al`azimi

and there is neither might nor power save with Allah, the All-high and All-great.

Repeat each of the following statements (i- x ) 10 times(100 times also mentioned)

أَسْتَغْفِرُ ٱللَّهَ وَ أَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

astaghfiru allaha wa atubu ilayhi

(i) I pray the forgiveness of Allah and I repent before Him.

أَسْأَلُ ٱللَّهَ ٱلْعَافِيَةَ

as'alu allaha al`afiyata

(ii) I beseech Allah for good health.

أَسْتَجِيـرُ بِٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

astajiru billahi mina alnnari

(iii) I seek Allah’s protection against Hellfire.

وَ أَسْأَلُهُ ٱلْجَنَّةَ

wa as'aluhu aljannata

(iv) I ask Him for Paradise.

أَسْأَلُ ٱللَّهَ ٱلْحُورَ ٱلْعِيـنَ

as'alu allaha alhura al`ina

(v) I ask Allah for the Paradisiacal Women.

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمَلِكُ ٱلْحَقُّ ٱلْمُبينُ

la ilaha illa allahu almaliku alhaqqu almubinu

(vi) There is no god save Allah the King and evident Truth.

(vii) Recite Surah al-Tawhid

صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّد وَآلِ مُحَمَّد

salla allahu `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

(viii) May Allah send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّه وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِوَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُوَٱللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَلِيِّ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

subhana allahi walhamdu lillahi wa la ilaha illa allahu wallahu akbar wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahi al`aliyyi al`azimi

(ix) All glory be to Allah,all praise be to Allah,there is no god save Allah Allah is the Greatest and there is neither might nor power save with Allah, the All-high and All-great.

مَا شَاءَ ٱللَّهُ كَانَ وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَلِيِّ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

ma sha'a allahu kana wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahi al`aliyyi al`azimi

(x) Only that which Allah wills shall come to pass and there is neither might nor power save with Allah, the All-high and All-great.

Repeat the following invocation ten times:

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

اَلْأَوْصِيَاءِ ٱلرَّاضِيـنَ ٱلْمَرْضِيِّينَ

al-awsya'i alrradina almardiyyina

the consenting and pleased Successors,

بِأَفْضَلِ صَلَوَاتِكَ

bi-afdali salawatika

with the best of Your blessings,

وَبَارِكْ عَلَيْهِمْ بِأَفْضَلِ بَرَكَاتِكَ

wa barik `alayhim bi-afdali barakatika

and confer upon them the best of your favors.

وَٱلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْهِمْ

walssalamu `alayhim

Peace be upon them

وَعَلىٰ أَرْوَاحِهِمْ وَ أَجْسَادِهِمْ

wa `ala arwahihim wa ajsadihim

and their souls and bodies.

وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu

Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon them.
