بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا مُمْتَحَنَةُ

ASSALLAMO A'LAYKE YAA MUMTAHANATUM

Peace be upon you, O examined lady

امْتَحَنَكِ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَكِ

He Who created you has examined you

TAHANAKIL LAZEE KHALAQAKE

فَوَجَدَكِ لِمَا امْتَحَنَكِ صَابِرَةً

AWAJADAKE LEMAM TAHANAKE SAABERATAN

and found that you have passed the examination patiently.

اَنَا لَكِ مُصَدِّقٌ

ANAA LAKE MOSADDEQUN

I am a believer of you

صَابِرٌ عَلٰى مَا اَتٰى بِهِ اَبُوْكِ وَ وَصِيُّهُ

SAABERUN A'LAA MAA ATAA BEHI ABOOKE WA WASIYYOHU

and I am carrying out that with which your father and his successor has come patiently;

صَلَوَاتُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْهِمَا

SALAWAATUL LAAHE A'LAYHEMAA

peace be upon both of them.

وَ اَنَا اَسْاَلُكِ اِنْ كُنْتُ صَدَّقْتُكِ

WA ANAA ASALOKE IN KUNTO SADDAQTOKE

I now beseech you by my belief in you

اِلَا اَلْحَقْتِنِيْ بِتَصْدِيْقِيْ لَهُمَا

ILLAA AL HAQTENEE BE TASDEEQEE LAHOMAA

to add me up with my belief in both of them

لِتُسَرَّ نَفْسِيْ

LE-TOSARRA NAFSEE

so that I will be delighted.

فَاشْهَدِيْ اَنِّي ظَاهِرٌ [طَاهِرٌ] بِوِلَايَتِكِ

FASH-HADEE ANNEE ZAAHERUN BE- WELAAYATEKE

So, testify to me that I am totally loyal to you

وَ وِلَايَةِ اٰلِ بَيْتِكِ

WA WELAAYATE AALE BAYTEKE

and to your Household;

صَلَوَاتُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْهِمْ اَجْمَعِيْنَ۔

SALAWAATUL LAAHE A'LAYHIM AJMAE'EN

peace of Allah be upon them all.

Another Ziyarah According To Another Narration

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا مُمْتَحَنَةُ

Assalamo Alaike Ya Mumtahanato

Peace be upon you, O examined lady.

اِمْتَحَنَكِ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَكِ قَبْلَ اَنْ يَخْلُقَكِ

Imtahanakil lazi Khalaqake Qabla An Yakhluqake

He Who created you had examined you before He created you.

وَ كُنْتِ لِمَا امْتَحَنَكِ بِهِ صَابِرَةً

Wa Kunte Lemam tahanake Behi Sabiratan

So, you passed the examination patiently.

وَ نَحْنُ لَكِ اَوْلِيَاءُ مُصَدِّقُوْنَ

Wa Nahno Lake Awliyao Mosaddequna

We are loyal to and believers in you

وَ لِكُلِّ مَا اَتٰى بِهِ اَبُوْكِ

Wa Lekulle Ma Ata Behi Abuke

and to all that which has been conveyed [to us] by your father,

صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ اٰلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ

Sallallaho Alaihe Wa Aalehi Wa Sallam

may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him,

وَ اَتٰى بِهِ وَصِيُّهُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ مُسَلِّمُوْنَ

Wa Ata Behi Wasiyyohu 'Alaihissalamo Musallemuna

and to that which his successor ('a) has carried to us, are submissive.

وَ نَحْنُ نَسْاَلُكَ اللّٰهُمَّ

Wa Nahno Nasaloka Allahumma

So, we beseech You, O Allah,

اِذْ كُنَّا مُصَدِّقِيْنَ لَهُمْ

Iz Kunna Musaddeqina Lahum

in the name of our belief in them,

اَنْ تُلْحِقَنَا بِتَصْدِيْقِنَا بِالدَّرَجَةِ الْعَالِيَةِ

An Tulheqana Be Tasdiqena Biddarajatil Aaliyate

to add us, due to our belief, to the sublime rank

لِنُبَشِّرَ اَنْفُسَنَا بِاَنَّا قَدْ طَهُرْنَا بِوِلَايَتِهِمْ [بِوَلَايَتِهِمْ‏]

Le Nobashshera Anfosana Be Anna Qad Tahurna Be Welayatehim

so that we will enjoy the good tidings that we have been purified on account of our loyalty to them,

عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ۔

Alaihemussalam.
