ِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلى‌ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ

I know that Allah is capable of all things,

وَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ‌ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ‌

and there is no deity except Allah, the Lord of the great throne.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ فِي يَوْمِي هَذَا

O Allah, I ask You in this day of mine,

وَ فِي مَا قَبْلَهُ وَ فِيمَا بَعْدَهُ الْعَفْوَ

and in what preceded it, and in what will follow it for pardon,

يَا خَيْرَ مَنِ اعْتَمَدَ عَلَيْهِ الْمُعْتَمِدُونَ

O Best of those relied upon by the reliers,

وَ يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ قَصَدَهُ الْقَاصِدُونَ

and O Best of those intended by the intenders,

وَ يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ هَرَبَ إِلَيْهِ الْهَارِبُونَ‌

and O Best of those fled to by the fleers,

وَ يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ سَأَلَهُ السَّائِلُونَ

and O Best of those asked by the askers,

وَ يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ جَادَ فِي الْمُجْتَدِيِنَ

and O Best of those generous among the strivers,

وَ يَا خَيْرَ الرَّازِقِينَ وَ يَا ذَا الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينَ

and O Best of the providers, and O Possessor of the strong power,

يَا وَلِيَّ الذَّاكِرِينَ يَا خَيْرَ الْمَسْئُولِينَ

O Guardian of those who remember, O Best of those asked.

يَا مُنْقِذَ الْغَرْقَى يَا مُنْجِيَ الْهَلْكَى

O Rescuer of the drowning, O Saver of the perishing,

يَا أَسْمَعَ السَّامِعِينَ وَ يَا أَبْصَرَ النَّاظِرِينَ

O Most Hearing of the hearers, O Most Seeing of the seers,

يَا أَمَانَ الْخَائِفِينَ يَا صَرِيخَ الْمُسْتَصْرِخِينَ

O Safety of the fearful, O Cry of the callers,

يَا مَلْجَأَ اللَّاجِينَ يَا رَازِقَ الْمُقِلِّينَ

O Refuge of the refugees, O Provider for the needy,

يَا غَافِرَ ذُنُوبِ الْمُذْنِبِينَ يَا مُطْلِقَ الْمَسْجُونِينَ

O Forgiver of the sins of the sinners, O Releaser of the imprisoned,

يَا مَنْ يَعْفُو عَنِ الْمُسِيئِينَ يَا زَائِدَ الشَّاكِرِينَ

O Pardoner of the wrongdoers, O Increaser of the grateful,

يَا مُعَذِّبَ الْكَافِرِينَ يَا سَبِيلَ الصَّالِحِينَ

O Punisher of the disbelievers, O Way of the righteous,

يَا أَعْلَمَ الْعَالِمِينَ يَا أَحْكَمَ الْحَاكِمِينَ

O Most Knowing of the knowers, O Most Just of the judges,

يَا مَنْ لَا تُفْنِيهِ الدُّهُورُ وَ السِّنُونَ

O One whose ages and years do not wear out,

يَا بَارّاً بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَا جَارَ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ

O Benefactor of the believers, O Neighbor of those who trust,

يَا قُدُّوساً فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ قُدُّوساً فِي الْأَرَضِينَ

O Holy in the heavens and Holy in the earths,

يَا عَظِيماً فِي الْعَالَمِينَ

O Great in the worlds,

يَا مَنْ يَصْرِفُ الْبَلِيَّاتِ يَا مَنْ هُوَ عَالِمُ الْخَفِيَّاتِ

O One who averts calamities, O One who is knowledgeable of the hidden,

يَا مَنْ يَأْتِي بِالْحَسَنَاتِ يَا مُنْزِلَ الْبَرَكَاتِ

O One who brings the good deeds, O Sender of the blessings,

يَا رَبَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ يَا مُفَرِّجَ الْكُرُبَاتِ

O Lord of the heavens, O Reliever of distresses,

يَا مُحْيِيَ الْأَمْوَاتِ يَا بَارِئَ النَّسَمَاتِ

O Reviver of the dead, O Creator of the breaths,

يَا مَنْ لَا تَشْتَبِهُ عَلَيْهِ اللُّغَاتُ يَا مُعْطِيَ الْمَسْأَلَاتِ

O One to whom languages do not confuse, O Granter of requests,

يَا قَابِلَ التَّوْبَاتِ يَا رَافِعَ الدَّرَجَاتِ

O Acceptor of repentances, O Elevator of degrees,

يَا مَنْ خَضَعَتْ لِأَمْرِهِ الْأَمْوَاجُ الْمُتَلَاطِمَاتِ

O One to whom the raging waves submit,

يَا مَنْ تُسَبِّحُهُ الْحِيتَانُ السَّابِحَاتُ

O One whom the swimming fish glorify,

يَا مَنْ أَطَاعَتْهُ الرِّيَاحُ الْعَاصِفَاتُ

O One whom the stormy winds obey,

يَا مَنْ بِقُدْرَتِهِ [بِيَدِهِ‌] تَجْرِي الْجَوَارِ الْمُنْشَآتُ

O One by whose power [by His hand] the ships sail,

يَا مَنْ يَسْمَعُ وَ يَرَى الْمُنَاجَاةَ

O One who hears and sees the intimate conversations,

يَا مَنْ بِنِعْمَتِهِ تَتِمُّ الصَّالِحَاتُ

O One by whose favor the good deeds are completed,

يَا ذَا الْمَنِّ وَ الْعَطِيَّاتِ

O Possessor of favor and gifts,

يَا مَنْ جَلَّ عَنِ الصِّفَاتِ وَ عَظُمَ وَ تَعَالَى عَنِ الشُّبُهَاتِ

O One exalted above attributes and elevated above doubts,

يَا مَنْ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الْبَرِّ وَ الْبَحْرِ وَ الْفَلَوَاتِ

O One who knows what is on the land and in the sea and the voids,

يَا ذَا الْفَضْلِ وَ الْكَرَامَاتِ

O Possessor of grace and miracles,

أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ الطَّاهِرِينَ

I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the pure family of Muhammad

وَ تَغْفِرَ لِي مَغْفِرَةً عَزْماً جَزْماً لَا تُغَادِرُ لِي ذَنْباً

and to forgive me with a forgiveness determined, conclusive, leaving no sin behind

وَ لَا تَكْتُبُ عَلَيَّ بَعْدَهَا حِسَاباً

and not writing against me any account thereafter,

وَ أَنْ تَرْضَى عَنِّي فِي يَوْمِي هَذَا رِضًى لَا تَغْضَبُ عَلَيَّ بَعْدَهُ

and that You are pleased with me on this day with a pleasure after which You will not be angry with me,

وَ أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِي وَ مَا تَأَخَّرَ

and that You forgive me what has preceded of my sin and what has delayed,

وَ أَنْ تَقِيَنِي مِنَ الْعَذَابِ الْأَدْنَى وَ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ الْأَكْبَرِ

and that You protect me from the lesser punishment and from the greater punishment,

وَ أَنْ تُعْطِيَنِي قُوَّةً فِي عِبَادَتِكَ وَ بَصَراً فِي كِتَابِكَ

and that You grant me strength in Your worship, and insight in Your Book,

وَ فِقْهاً فِي حُكْمِكَ وَ تُبَيِّضَ وَجْهِي بِنُورِكَ

and understanding in Your judgement, and that You whiten my face with Your light,

وَ تَجْعَلَ رَاحَتِي فِي لِقَائِكَ وَ غِنَايَ فِي عَطَائِكَ

and make my comfort in meeting You, and my sufficiency in Your giving,

وَ رَغْبَتِي فِيمَا عِنْدَكَ‌

and my desire in what is with You.

إِنَّكَ عَلى‌ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Indeed, You are capable of all things.

وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ سَلَّمَ.

And may Allah send blessings upon Muhammad and his pure family and grant peace.
