اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ يَا مَنْ قَضَى سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ طِبَاقاً فِي يَوْمَيْنِ

O Allah, I ask You, O He who decreed the seven heavens in two days,

وَ أَوْحى‌ فِي كُلِّ سَماءٍ أَمْرَها

and revealed in every heaven its command,

يَا مَنْ‌ يُنَزِّلُ الْغَيْثَ مِنْ بَعْدِ ما قَنَطُوا

O He who sends down the rain after despair

وَ يَنْشُرُ رَحْمَتَهُ وَ هُوَ الْوَلِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ

and spreads His mercy, and He is the Protector, the Praiseworthy.

يَا مَنْ يَعْلَمُ سِرَّ عِبَادِهِ وَ نَجْوَاهُمْ

O He who knows the secret of His servants and their whisper,

وَ رُسُلُهُ‌ لَدَيْهِمْ يَكْتُبُونَ‌

and His messengers among them write down.

يَا مَنْ‌ لَهُ الْكِبْرِياءُ فِي السَّماواتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ

O He to whom belongs greatness in the heavens and the earth,

وَ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ‌

and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

يَا مَنْ‌ يُحْيِي وَ يُمِيتُ‌

O He who gives life and causes death,

رَبُّنَا وَ رَبُّ آبَائِنَا الْأَوَّلِينَ

our Lord and the Lord of our ancient fathers.

يَا مَنْ أَهْلَكَ الْقُرَى وَ صَرَّفَ الْآيَاتِ‌

O He who destroyed towns and varied the signs,

لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ‌

perhaps they would return.

يَا مَنْ رَضِيَ‌ عَنِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

O He who was pleased with the believers

إِذْ يُبايِعُونَكَ تَحْتَ الشَّجَرَةِ [يُبَايِعُونَ رَسُولَهُ‌]

when they pledged allegiance under the tree,

فَعَلِمَ ما فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ

knew what was in their hearts,

فَأَنْزَلَ السَّكِينَةَ عَلَيْهِمْ

so He sent down tranquility upon them

وَ أَثابَهُمْ فَتْحاً قَرِيباً

and rewarded them with an imminent victory.

يَا مَنْ‌ أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدى‌ وَ دِينِ الْحَقِّ

O He who sent His messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth

لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَ كَفى‌ بِاللَّهِ شَهِيداً

to make it prevail over all religion, and sufficient is Allah as a witness.

أَسْأَلُكَ‌ يَا إِلَهِي بِمَا مَدَحْتُكَ بِهِ

I ask You, O my God, by praising You,

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى خِيَرَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

to bless Your chosen one from Your creation

وَ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الْأَطْهَارِ الْأَخْيَارِ

and his pure and noble family,

وَ مَنْ آمَنَ بِهِمْ وَ صَدَّقَهُمْ

and those who believed in them, verified them,

وَ عَمِلَ بِطَاعَتِهِمْ

and acted in obedience to them.

وَ أَنْ تَتَعَطَّفَ عَلَيَّ بِبَرَكَاتِكَ

And to be kind to me with Your blessings,

وَ تُوَسِّعَ عَلَيَّ مِنْ رِزْقِكَ وَ فَضْلِكَ

expand my provision and grace from You,

وَ تُتِمَّ عَلَيَّ نِعْمَتَكَ وَ تُهَنِّئَنِي بِكَرَامَتِكَ

complete Your favors upon me, delight me with Your nobility,

وَ تَجْعَلَنِي مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ لَكَ

make me among those who are grateful to You.

وَ هَوَايَ إِلَيْكَ وَ حَسْبِي

My desire is towards You, You are sufficient for me,

وَ تَوَكُّلِي عَلَيْكَ وَ ذُلِّي لَكَ

my trust is in You, my submission is to You,

وَ خُضُوعِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ وَ حَوَائِجِي كُلَّهَا إِلَيْكَ

all my needs are towards You,

وَ مَقْضِيَّةً عِنْدَكَ

decided by You,

وَ لَدَيْكَ فَلَا مَلْجَأَ وَ لَا مَنْجَى

with You there is no refuge, no escape,

وَ لَا مُلْتَجَأَ مِنْكَ إِلَّا إِلَيْكَ

no shelter except towards You.

وَ أَنْ تُتِمَّ إِحْسَانَكَ إِلَيَّ بِفَكِّ رَقَبَتِي مِنَ النَّارِ

And to complete Your kindness towards me by freeing my neck from the Fire

وَ أَنْ تَحْشُرَنِي مَعَ أَهْلِ بَيْتِ نَبِيِّكَ الْأَخْيَارِ الْأَبْرَارِ

and gathering me with the family of Your Prophet, the best and the virtuous.

إِنَّكَ عَلى‌ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَ هُوَ عِنْدَكَ يَسِيرٌ

Indeed, You are capable of everything and it is easy for You.

وَ أَنَا إِلَى إِحْسَانِكَ فَقِيرٌ

I am in need of Your goodness,

وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ.

and may Allah's blessings be upon our master Muhammad and his pure family
