بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ‌

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,

وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعالَمِينَ‌

and all praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds,

وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى أَنْبِيَائِهِ وَ مَلَائِكَتِهِ

and may Allah send blessings upon His prophets and His angels.

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ الْكَرِيمِ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ الْمُشَرَّفِ الْعَظِيمِ

O Allah, Lord of this noble day in this honored, great month,

إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَعُودَ عَلَى إِسَاءَتِي بِإِحْسَانِكَ

I ask You to meet my wrongdoing with Your goodness,

وَ عَلَى سَفَهِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ وَ عَلَى ذُنُوبِي بِمَغْفِرَتِكَ

my folly with Your mercy, my sins with Your forgiveness,

وَ عَلَى سَيِّئَاتِي بِتَجَاوُزِكَ وَ عَلَى إِفْرَاطِي بِصَفْحِكَ

my bad deeds with Your overlooking, my excesses with Your pardon,

وَ عَلَى ضَعْفِي بِمَعُونَتِكَ وَ عَلَى فَقْرِي بِغِنَاكَ وَ سَعَتِكَ

my weakness with Your support, my poverty with Your wealth and expansiveness,

وَ عَلَى بُؤْسِي بِفَضْلِكَ وَ عَلَى قُنُوطِي بِعِبَادَتِكَ [بِعِنَايَتِكَ‌[

my misery with Your grace, my despair with Your care,

وَ عَلَى عُسْرِي بِيُسْرِكَ

and my difficulty with Your ease, for You,

فَإِنَّكَ يَا رَبِّ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ

O my Lord, are the Possessor of great bounty,

وَ الْبَلَاءِ الْحَسَنِ‌ الْجَسِيمِ وَ الْفَضْلِ الْكَرِيمِ

beneficial trial, and noble generosity.

يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ

O Most Merciful of the merciful,

وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ.

and may Allah send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his pure family.
