2 Rakat Salat thanksgiving prayer:
In the first Rakat recite Sura Fatihah and Sura Qadr and in the second Rakat recite Sura Ikhlaas after Sura Fatiha.Upon completion prostrate yourself in adoration, and say the following when prostrating:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا إِلَيْكَ نُوَجِّهُ وُجُوهَنَا فِي يَوْمِ عِيدِنَا الَّذِي شَرَّفْتَنَا فِيهِ بِوَلَايَةِ مَوْلَانَا أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ عَلَيْكَ نَتَوَكَّلُ وَ بِكَ نَسْتَعِينُ فِي أُمُورِنَا
Oh God, we turn our faces to you on the day of our festival, which you honored us with the wilayat of Maulana Commander of the Faithful Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him .whom we rely on and seek help from for all our affairs.
and say the following when prostrating:
اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ سَجَدَتْ وُجُوهُنَا وَ أَشْعَارُنَا وَ أَبْشَارُنَا وَ جُلُودُنَا وَ عُرُوقُنَا وَ أَعْظُمُنَا وَ أَعْصَابُنَا وَ لُحُومُنَا وَ دِمَاؤُنَا
Oh God, To You we prostrate as does our face,our hair , our skin, our bones, our nerves, our blood
اللَّهُمَّ إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَ لَكَ نَخْضَعُ وَ لَكَ نَسْجُدُ عَلَى مِلَّةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَ دِينِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ وَلَايَةِ عَلِيٍّ صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
“O' my God! You alone I worship and to You alone I humble myself, and to You I prostrate. We follow the nation of Abraham (as) and the religion of Muhammad and his Trustees (as).
حُنَفَاءَ مُسْلِمِينَ وَ مَا نَحْنُ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ وَ لَا مِنَ الْجَاحِدِينَ
We are Muslims, not of the atheists, nor those who deny God.
اللَّهُمَّ الْعَنِ الْجَاحِدِينَ الْمُعَانِدِينَ الْمُخَالِفِينَ لِأَمْرِكَ وَ أَمْرِ رَسُولِكَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ
O' my God! Please damn those who deny God, those who disagree and those who oppose Your Orders and the orders of Your Prophet (as).
اللَّهُمَّ الْعَنِ الْمُبْغِضِينَ لَهُمْ لَعْناً كَثِيراً لَا يَنْقَطِعُ أَوَّلُهُ وَ لَا يَنْفَدُ آخِرُهُ
O' my God! Please damn those who were hostile to them – such extensive damnation whose beginnig is without cessation and whose end is without any break through.
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ وَ ثَبِّتْنَا عَلَى مُوَالاتِكَ وَ مُوَالاةِ رَسُولِكَ وَ آلِ رَسُولِكَ وَ مُوَالاةِ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ
O' my God! Please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny and make us steadfast in Your Love, love for Your Prophet and his family, and love for the Commander of the Faithful.
اللَّهُمَ آتِنا فِي الدُّنْيا حَسَنَةً وَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَ أَحْسِنْ مُنْقَلَبَنَا يَا سَيِّدَنَا وَ مَوْلَانَا
O' my God! Please grant us the good of this world, and the good of the Hereafter with the best afterlife. O‟ our Master and Gaurdian!”
