يَا مَنْ أَظْهَرَ الْجَمِيلَ وَ سَتَرَ الْقَبِيحَ
O He who reveals the beauties, and hides the ugliness!
يَا مَنْ لَمْ يُؤَاخِذْ بِالْجَرِيرَةِ وَ لَمْ يَهْتِكِ السِّتْرَ
O He who does not take revenge for misdeeds and does not divulge secret
s! يَا عَظِيمَ الْعَفْوِ يَا حَسَنَ التَّجَاوُزِ
O the All-Mighty! O He who overlooks faults!
يَا وَاسِعَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ يَا بَاسِطَ الْيَدَيْنِ بِالرَّحْمَةِ
O Vast Forgiver! O Extender of both ands with Mercy!
[وَ] يَا صَاحِبَ كُلِّ نَجْوَى وَ مُنْتَهَى كُلِّ شَكْوَى
O He who knows all that is whispered! O He who settles all complaints!
[وَ] يَا مُقِيلَ الْعَثَرَاتِ يَا مُجِيبَ الدَّعَوَاتِ
O He who tolerates mischief! O the Responder to supplications!
يَا مُبْتَدِئاً بِالنِّعَمِ قَبْلَ اسْتِحْقَاقِهَا
O He who gives Bounties before one deserves them
يَا رَبَّاهْ يَا سَيِّدَاهْ يَا مَوْلَاهْ يَا غَايَةَ رَغْبَتَاهْ
O Nourisher! O my Master! O Master! O the Ultimate of ambitions!
أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
I ask You to bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny
وَ أَنْ لَا تُشَوِّهَ خَلْقِي فِي النَّارِ
and not burn my face in the Fire
Then ask for the fulfillment of your needs and God willing they would be fulfilled. Then say:
اللَّهُمَّ يَا مُفَرِّجَ كُلِّ هَمٍّ وَ يَا مُنَفِّسَ كُلِّ كَرْبٍ وَ يَا صَاحِبَ كُلِّ وَحِيدٍ
O my God! O He who dispels all sorrow. O He who relieves all sorrow! O Company of all the lonely!
وَ يَا كَاشِفَ ضُرِّ أَيُّوبَ وَ يَا سَامِعَ صَوْتِ يُونُسَ الْمَكْرُوبِ
O Remover of harm from Job! O He who heard the voice of the grief-stricken Joseph!
وَ فَالِقَ الْبَحْرِ لِمُوسَى وَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَ مُنْجِيَ مُوسَى وَ مَنْ مَعَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ
O He who divided the sea for Moses and the Children of Israel, and saved Moses and all his nation
أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
I ask You to bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny
وَ أَنْ تُيَسِّرَ لِي فِي هَذَا الشَّهْرِ الْعَظِيمِ الَّذِي تُعْتِقُ فِيهِ الرِّقَابَ وَ تَغْفِرُ فِيهِ الذُّنُوبَ
and make things easy for me during this great month - in which the people are freed from the Fire, and in which sins are forgiven -
مَا أَخَافُ عُسْرَهُ وَ تُسَهِّلَ لِي مَا أَخَافُ حُزُونَتَهُ
(I ask You) to ease the affairs I fear to be difficult for me. Please ease for me what I fear its sorrow
يَا غِيَاثِي عِنْدَ كُرْبَتِي وَ يَا صَاحِبِي عِنْدَ شِدَّتِي
O my refuge when trouble surrounds me! O my Companion in hardships!
يَا عِصْمَةَ الْخَائِفِ الْمُسْتَجِيرِ يَا رَازِقَ الْبَائِسِ الْفَقِيرِ
O He who protects the fearful ones seeking protection. O Sustainer of the poverty-stricken, poor!
يَا مُغِيثَ الْمَقْهُورِ الضَّرِيرِ يَا مُطْلِقَ الْكَبَلِ عَنِ الْأَسِيرِ
O Helper of the defeated needy! O He who frees enslaved captives!
[وَ] يَا مُخَلِّصَ الْمَسْجُونِ الْمَكْرُوبِ
O He who frees the grief-stricken prisoners!
أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
I ask You to bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny
وَ تَجْعَلَ لِي مِنْ جَمِيعِ أُمُورِي فَرَجاً وَ مَخْرَجاً وَ يُسْراً عَاجِلًا
and provide an easy way out of my affairs that is quick and simple
يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
O the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful
يَا مَنْ أَظْهَرَ الْجَمِيلَ وَ سَتَرَ الْقَبِيحَ
