اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ هَذَا هِلَالُ شَهْرِ [شَعْبَانَ‌]

“O’ my God! This is the crescent of the moon for the month of Sha’ban.

وَ قَدْ وَرَدَ وَ أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا فِيهِ مِنَ الْإِحْسَانِ فَاجْعَلْهُ

You know its goodness better than we do.

اللَّهُمَّ هِلَالَ بَرَكَاتٍ وَ سَعَادَاتٍ كَامِلَةَ الْأَمَانِ وَ الْغُفْرَانِ وَ الرِّضْوَانِ وَ مَاحِيَةَ الْأَخْطَارِ فِي الْأَحْيَانِ

O’ my God! Please let it be a source of bliss, security, forgiveness and pleasure, and as a means to fend off dangers during it.

وَ الْأَزْمَانِ وَ حَامِيَةً مِنْ أَذَى أَهْلِ الْعِصْيَانِ وَ الْبُهْتَانِ

Please let it be a means of protection from those who disobey and accuse.

وَ شَرِّفْنَا بِامْتِثَالِ مَرَاسِمِهِ وَ إِحْيَاءِ مَوَاسِمِهِ وَ أَلْحِقْنَا بِشُمُولِ مَرَاحِمِهِ وَ مَكَارِمِهِ

Please honor us for performing its ceremonies and let us be covered by Your Mercy and Benevolence during it.

وَ طَهِّرْنَا فِيهِ تَطْهِيراً نَصْلُحُ بِهِ لِلدُّخُولِ عَلَى شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ مُظَفَّرِينَ بِأَفْضَلِ مَا ظَفِرَ بِهِ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْإِسْلَامِ وَ الْإِيمَانِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

Please purify us during it such that we can enter the month of Ramadhan and attain the noblest of what any of the Muslims and believers have attained by Your Mercy! O’ the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful
