وَ مِنَ الدَّعَوَاتِ فِي يَوْمِ الْغَدِيرِ مَا وَجَدْنَاهُ فِي نُسْخَةٍ عَتِيقَةٍ مِنْ كُتُبِ الْعِبَادَاتِ‌

And among the supplications on the Day of Ghadir is what we found in an old copy of the books of worship

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ

O Allah, Lord of the heavens and the earth

وَ رَبَّ النُّورِ الْعَظِيمِ

And Lord of the great light

وَ رَبَ‌ الْبَحْرِ الْمَسْجُورِ

And Lord of the filled sea

وَ رَبَّ الشَّفْعِ الْكَبِيرِ

And Lord of the great pair

وَ رَبَّ الْوَتْرِ الرَّفِيعِ

And Lord of the exalted singular

سُبْحَانَكَ مُنْزِلَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَ الْإِنْجِيلِ وَ الزَّبُورِ وَ الْقُرْآنِ الْعَظِيمِ

Glory be to You, the Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms, and the Great Qur'an

إِلَهَ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ

God of those in the seven heavens

وَ إِلَهَ مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ

And God of those on the earth

لَا إِلَهَ [إِلَّا هُوَ] فِيهِمَا غَيْرُكَ

There is no god [but He] in them other than You

جَبَّارَ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ

The Omnipotent of those in the heavens and the earth

لَا جَبَّارَ فِيهِمَا غَيْرُكَ

There is no omnipotent in them other than You

مَلِكَ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ [مَلِكَ مَنْ فِي‌] الْأَرْضِ

The King of those in the heavens and [the King of those in] the earth

لَا مَلِكَ فِيهِمَا غَيْرُكَ

There is no king in them other than You

أَسْأَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الْعَظِيمِ

I ask You by Your great name

وَ بِنُورِ وَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيمِ

And by the light of Your noble face

وَ بِمُلْكِكَ الْقَدِيمِ

And by Your ancient sovereignty

وَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِي أَشْرَقَتْ لَهُ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَ الْأَرْضُونَ

And by Your name that made the heavens and the earth shine

وَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِي أَصْلَحْتَ بِهِ أُمُورَ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَ الْآخِرِينَ

And by Your name by which You corrected the affairs of the first and the last

يَا حَيُّ قَبْلَ كُلِّ حَيٍّ

O Ever-Living before every living thing

يَا حَيُّ بَعْدَ كُلِّ حَيٍّ

O Ever-Living after every living thing

يَا حَيُّ حِينَ لَا حَيَّ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

O Ever-Living when there is no living one except You

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ

O Ever-Living, O Sustainer

يَا أَحَدُ يَا صَمَدُ

O One, O Eternal Refuge

يَا فَرْدُ يَا وَتْرُ

O Unique, O Singular

يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا رَحِيمُ

O Most Merciful, O Most Compassionate

اغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا

Forgive us our sins

وَ اجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ أُمُورِنَا فَرَجاً وَ مَخْرَجاً

And make for us from our affairs relief and an exit

وَ اسْتَقْبِلْنَا عَلَى هُدَى نَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ

And receive us with the guidance of Your Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family

وَ اجْعَلْ عَمَلَنَا فِي الْمَرْفُوعِ الْمُتَقَبَّلِ

And make our deeds among the elevated and accepted ones

وَ هَبْ لَنَا مَا وَهَبْتَ لِأَوْلِيَائِكَ

And grant us what You have granted Your friends

وَ أَهْلِ طَاعَتِكَ

And the people of Your obedience

وَ عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

And Your righteous servants from Your creation

فَإِنَّا بِكَ مُؤْمِنُونَ

For indeed, we are believers in You

وَ عَلَيْكَ مُتَوَكِّلُونَ

And upon You we rely

وَ مَصِيرُنَا إِلَيْكَ

And our return is to You

وَ اجْمَعْ لَنَا الْخَيْرَ كُلَّهُ بِحَوْلِكَ وَ قُوَّتِكَ

And gather for us all good by Your power and strength

وَ اصْرِفْ عَنَّا الشَّرَّ كُلَّهُ بِمَنِّكَ وَ رَحْمَتِكَ

And turn away from us all evil by Your grace and mercy

يَا حَنَّانُ يَا مَنَّانُ

O Compassionate, O Benefactor

يَا بَدِيعَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ

O Originator of the heavens and the earth

يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَ الْإِكْرَامِ

O Possessor of Majesty and Honor

تُعْطِي الْخَيْرَ مَنْ تَشَاءُ

You give good to whom You will

وَ تَصْرِفُ الشَّرَّ عَمَّنْ تَشَاءُ

And turn away evil from whom You will

أَعْطِنَا جَمِيعَ مَا سَأَلْنَاكَ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ

Give us all that we asked of You from good

وَ امْنُنْ بِهِ عَلَيْنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ

And bestow it upon us by Your mercy

يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ

O Most Merciful of the merciful

إِنَّا إِلَيْكَ رَاغِبُونَ

Indeed, we are desirous towards You

وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ

And there is no power and no strength except by Allah, the Most High, the Great

اللَّهُمَّ اشْرَحْ بِالْقُرْآنِ صَدْرِي

O Allah, expand my chest with the Qur'an

وَ أَنْطِقْ بِالْقُرْآنِ لِسَانِي

And make my tongue speak with the Qur'an

وَ نَوِّرْ بِالْقُرْآنِ بَصَرِي

And enlighten my sight with the Qur'an

وَ اسْتَعْمِلْ بِالْقُرْآنِ بَدَنِي

And use my body for the Qur'an

وَ أَعِنِّي عَلَيْهِ أَبَداً مَا أَبْقَيْتَنِي

And assist me with it as long as You keep me alive

فَإِنَّهُ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِكَ

For there is no power and no strength except by You

اللَّهُمَّ يَا دَاحِيَ الْمَدْحُوَّاتِ [الْمَدْحِيَّاتِ‌]

O Allah, O the One who spreads the praised things [praised]

وَ يَا بَانِيَ الْمَبْنِيَّاتِ

And O Builder of the built things

وَ يَا مُرْسِيَ الْمَرْسِيَّاتِ

And O Stabilizer of the established things

وَ يَا جَبَّارَ الْقُلُوبِ عَلَى فِطْرَتِهَا شَقِيِّهَا وَ سَعِيدِهَا

And O Mender of the hearts in their natural states, whether miserable or happy

وَ يَا بَاسِطَ الرَّحْمَةِ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

And O Expander of mercy to the righteous

اجْعَلْ شَرَائِفَ صَلَوَاتِكَ وَ نَوَامِيَ بَرَكَاتِكَ وَ رَأْفَتِكَ‌ وَ تَحِيَّتِكَ وَ رَحْمَتِكَ

Make Your noble prayers, Your comprehensive blessings, Your compassion, Your greetings, and Your mercy

عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَ رَسُولِكَ

Upon Muhammad, Your servant and messenger

الْفَاتِحِ لِمَا انْغَلَقَ وَ الْخَاتِمِ لِمَا سَبَقَ

The opener of what was closed and the seal of what came before

وَ فَاتِحِ الْحَقِّ بِالْحَقِّ

And the opener of the truth with the truth

وَ دَامِغِ جَيْشَاتِ الْأَبَاطِيلِ

And the destroyer of the armies of falsehoods

كَمَا حَمَّلْتَهُ فَاضْطَلَعَ بِأَمْرِكَ

As You have burdened him, and he carried out Your command

مُسْتَبْصِراً فِي رِضْوَانِكَ

Insightfully in Your pleasure

غَيْرَ نَاكِلٍ عَنْ قُدُمٍ

Not retreating from progress

وَ لَا مُنْثَنٍ عَنْ كَرَمٍ

And not turning away from generosity

حَافِظاً لِعَهْدِكَ

Preserving Your covenant

قَاضِياً لِنَفَاذِ أَمْرِكَ

Executing Your command

فَهُوَ أَمِينُكَ الْمَأْمُونُ

For he is Your trusted trustee

وَ شَهِيدُكَ يَوْمَ الدِّينِ

And Your witness on the Day of Judgment

وَ بَعِيثُكَ رَحْمَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ

And Your envoy as a mercy to the worlds

اللَّهُمَّ فَافْسَحْ لَهُ مَفْسَحاً عِنْدَكَ

O Allah, grant him a spacious place with You

وَ أَعْطِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ رِضَاهُ الرِّضَاءَ

And give him after his pleasure the utmost satisfaction

مِنْ نُورِ ثَوَابِكَ الْمَحْلُولِ

From the light of Your free-flowing reward

وَ عَطَاءِ جَزَائِكَ الْمَعْلُولِ

And the gift of Your recompense that is in surplus

اللَّهُمَّ أَتْمِمْ لَهُ وَعْدَهُ

O Allah, complete for him Your promise

بِانْبِعَاثِكَ إِيَّاهُ مَقْبُولَ الشَّفَاعَةِ عِنْدَكَ

By sending him with accepted intercession with You

مَرْضِيَّ الْمَقَالَةِ

Pleasing in speech

ذَا مَنْطِقِ عَدْلٍ وَ خُطْبَةِ فَصْلٍ

With just speech and decisive discourse

وَ حُجَّةٍ وَ بُرْهَانٍ عَظِيمٍ

And with a great proof and argument

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنَا سَامِعِينَ مُطِيعِينَ

O Allah, make us listeners and obedient ones

وَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مُخْلَصِينَ

And sincere friends

وَ رُفَقَاءَ مُصَاحِبِينَ

And close companions

اللَّهُمَّ أَبْلِغْهُ مِنَّا السَّلَامَ

O Allah, convey to him from us peace

وَ ارْدُدْ عَلَيْنَا مِنْهُ السَّلَامَ

And return to us from him peace

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ضَعِيفٌ

O Allah, I am weak

فَقَوِّ فِي رِضَاكَ ضَعْفِي

So strengthen my weakness in Your pleasure

وَ خُذْ لِيَ الْخَيْرَ بِنَاصِيَتِي

And take the good for me by my forelock

وَ اجْعَلِ الْإِسْلَامَ مُنْتَهَى رِضَاكَ

And make Islam the ultimate end of Your pleasure

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ضَعِيفٌ

O Allah, I am weak

فَقَوِّنِي

So strengthen me

وَ إِنِّي ذَلِيلٌ

And I am humiliated

فَأَعِزَّنِي

So honor me

وَ إِنِّي فَقِيرٌ

And I am poor

فَارْزُقْنِي

So provide for me

Then say 100 times

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْجَنَّةَ- اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ

Then say the following one-hundred times,

“O' my God! I ask from You Paradise. O' my God! I take refuge in You from the Fire.

Then say

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ وَ بِأَنَّكَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنَّكَ أَحَدٌ صَمَدٌ لَمْ تَلِدْ وَ لَمْ تُولَدْ وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَكَ كُفُواً أَحَدٌ أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي ذُنُوبِي كُلَّهَا صَغِيرَهَا وَ كَبِيرَهَا مَغْفِرَةً تَامَّةً يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ

“O' my God! I ask You by the fact that You are God! There is no God but You. You are the Only who has no associate. And You are the Most Compassionate Most Merciful! I ask You by the fact that You are One, Eternal, Absolute! You do not give birth, nor are You born. There is none like unto You. I ask You to forgive all my sins, minor or major, perfectly forgiven. O' the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.

Then say 4 times

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُشْهِدُكَ وَ أُشْهِدُ حَمَلَةَ عَرْشِكَ وَ مَلَائِكَتَكَ وَ جَمِيعَ خَلْقِكَ أَنِّي أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ وَ أُومِنُ بِكَ وَ أَتَوَكَّلُ عَلَيْكَ وَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَ أَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ

“O' my God! I take You and the carriers of Your Throne, Your angels and all Your creatures as witnesses. I bear witness that You are God! There is no God but You. You are the Only who has no associate. And I believe in You. I rely on You; I ask You for forgiveness, and I repent to You.

Then say

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَصْبَحْتُ فِي دِينِي وَ أَمَانَتِي

O Allah, indeed I have started my day in my religion and my trust

وَ نَفْسِي وَ وُلْدِي وَ مَالِي

And my soul, my children, my wealth

وَ جَمِيعِ أَهْلِ عِنَايَتِي فِي حِمَاكَ

And all those under my care in Your protection

الَّذِي لَا يُسْتَبَاحُ وَ فِي عِزِّكَ الَّذِي لَا يُرَامُ

Which is inviolable, and in Your might which cannot be sought

وَ فِي سُلْطَانِكَ الَّذِي لَا يُسْتَضَامُ

And in Your authority which cannot be overcome

وَ فِي مُلْكِكَ الَّذِي لَا يَبْلَى

And in Your kingdom which does not perish

وَ فِي نِعَمِكَ الَّتِي لَا تُحْصَى

And in Your blessings which cannot be counted

وَ فِي ذِمَّتِكَ الَّتِي لَا تُخْفَرُ

And in Your guarantee which cannot be breached

وَ فِي رَحْمَتِكَ الَّتِي‌ وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْ‌ءٍ

And in Your mercy which encompasses everything

وَ جَارُ اللَّهِ آمِنٌ مَحْفُوظٌ

And whoever is in Allah's neighborhood is safe and protected

وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

And there is no power and no strength except by Allah

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ

There is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest

وَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ

And Glory be to Allah

رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

O Lord, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad

وَ اغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي كُلَّهَا

And forgive me all my sins

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ

By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful

اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لَنَا بِطَاعَتِكَ

O Allah, open for us by Your obedience

وَ اخْتِمْ لَنَا بِرِضْوَانِكَ

And seal for us by Your pleasure

وَ أَعِذْنَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

And protect us from the accursed devil

السَّلَامُ عَلَى الْحَافِظِينَ الْكِرَامِ الْكَاتِبِينَ

Peace be upon the noble, recording angels

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone without partner

وَ أَنَ‌ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَ رَسُولُهُ

And that Muhammad is His servant and His messenger

صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ

May Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace

إِنَّ صَلاتِي وَ نُسُكِي وَ مَحْيايَ وَ مَماتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعالَمِينَ

Indeed, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the worlds

لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَ بِذلِكَ أُمِرْتُ‌

He has no partner, and with that I have been commanded

وَ أَنَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ

And I am of the Muslims

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ يَوْمِي هَذَا وَ خَيْرَ مَا فِيهِ

O Allah, I ask You for the good of this day and the good within it

وَ خَيْرَ مَا أَمَرْتَ بِهِ وَ خَيْرَ مَا قَبْلَهُ وَ خَيْرَ مَا بَعْدَهُ

And the good You have commanded, and the good before it and after it

وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ يَوْمِي هَذَا وَ شَرِّ مَا فِيهِ

And I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil within it

وَ شَرِّ مَا قَبْلَهُ وَ شَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهُ

And the evil before it and after it

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ فَتْحَهُ وَ نَصْرَهُ وَ نُورَهُ وَ هُدَاهُ

O Allah, I ask You for its opening, its victory, its light, and its guidance

اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي بِخَيْرٍ وَ اخْتِمْ لِي بِخَيْرٍ

O Allah, open for me with good and seal for me with good

وَ اخْتِمْهُ عَلَيَّ بِخَيْرٍ

And seal it upon me with good

اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْهُ عَلَيَّ بِرَحْمَتِكَ وَ اخْتِمْهُ عَلَيَّ بِرِضْوَانِكَ

O Allah, open it upon me with Your mercy and seal it upon me with Your pleasure

اللَّهُمَّ مَنْ كَادَنِي فِي يَوْمِي هَذَا بِسُوءٍ فَاكْفِنِيهِ

O Allah, whoever intends evil for me on this day, suffice me against them

وَ قِنِي شَرَّهُ وَ ارْدُدْ كَيْدَهُ فِي نَحْرِهِ

And protect me from his evil, and return his plot against him

اللَّهُمَّ مَا أَنْزَلْتَ فِي يَوْمِي هَذَا مِنْ خَيْرٍ

O Allah, whatever good You have sent down on this day

أَوْ رَحْمَةٍ أَوْ شِفَاءٍ أَوْ فَرَجٍ أَوْ عَافِيَةٍ أَوْ رِزْقٍ

Or mercy, or healing, or relief, or well-being, or provision

فَاجْعَلْ لِي فِيهِ نَصِيباً وَافِراً حَسَناً

Then make for me in it a good and abundant share

وَ مَا أَنْزَلْتَ فِيهِ مِنْ مَحْذُورٍ أَوْ مَكْرُوهٍ أَوْ بَلِيَّةٍ أَوْ شَقَاءٍ

And whatever You have sent down in it of harm, dislike, affliction, or hardship

فَاصْرِفْهُ عَنِّي

Then turn it away from me

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ بَدْوَ يَوْمِي هَذَا فَلَاحاً

O Allah, I ask You to make the beginning of this day success

وَ أَوْسَطَهُ صَلَاحاً وَ آخِرَهُ نَجَاحاً

And its middle rectitude, and its end success

وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ يَوْمٍ أَوَّلُهُ فَزَعٌ

And I seek refuge in You from the evil of a day whose beginning is panic

وَ أَوْسَطُهُ جَزَعٌ وَ آخِرُهُ وَجَعٌ

And its middle is grief, and its end is pain

اللَّهُمَّ بِرَأْفَتِكَ أَرْجُو رَحْمَتَكَ

O Allah, by Your kindness I hope for Your mercy

وَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَرْجُو رِضْوَانَكَ

And by Your mercy, I hope for Your pleasure

وَ بِرِضْوَانِكَ أَرْجُو الْجَنَّةَ

And by Your pleasure, I hope for Paradise

فَلَا تُؤَاخِذْنِي بِذَنْبِي وَ لَا تُعَاقِبْنِي بِسُوءِ عَمَلِي

So do not take me to task for my sins, and do not punish me for my bad deeds

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ حَيَاتِي مَا أَحْيَيْتَنِي

O Allah, make my life as long as You keep me alive

زِيَادَةً لِي فِي كُلِّ خَيْرٍ

An increase for me in every good

وَ اجْعَلْ وَفَاتِي إِذَا تَوَفَّيْتَنِي

And make my death, when You cause me to die

رَاحَةً مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ

A rest from every evil

وَ نَجَاةً لِي مِنْ كُلِّ سُوءٍ

And a salvation for me from every bad

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي أَخْشَاكَ كَأَنِّي أَرَاكَ

O Allah, make me fear You as though I see You

وَ أَرْجُوكَ وَ لَا أَرْجُو غَيْرَكَ

And hope in You and not hope in anyone else

وَ أَذْكُرُكَ وَ لَا أَنْسَاكَ

And remember You and not forget You

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي كُلَّ ذَنْبٍ سَلَفَ مِنِّي

O Allah, forgive me every sin that has passed from me

فِي اللَّيْلِ وَ النَّهَارِ مُنْذُ خَلَقْتَنِي

In the night and in the day since You created me

وَ كَفِّرْهُ عَنِّي وَ أَبْدِلْنِي بِهِ حَسَنَاتٍ

And expiate it from me and replace it with good deeds

وَ تَقَبَّلْ مِنِّي كُلَّ خَيْرٍ عَمِلْتُهُ

And accept from me every good I have done

لَكَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَ النَّهَارِ مُنْذُ خَلَقْتَنِي

For You in the night and the day since You created me

وَ ارْفَعْهُ لِي عِنْدَكَ فِي الرَّفِيعِ الْأَعْلَى

And raise it for me with You in the highest place

وَ أَعْطِنِي عَلَيْهِ الثَّوَابَ الْكَثِيرَ

And grant me abundant reward for it

بِرَحْمَتِكَ إِنَّكَ جَوَادٌ لَا تَبْخَلُ

By Your mercy, for You are Generous and do not withhold

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَصْبَحْتُ مُتَوَكِّلًا عَلَيْكَ

O Allah, indeed I have started my day relying upon You

فَاكْفِنِي وَ أَصْبَحْتُ فَقِيراً إِلَيْكَ فَأَغْنِنِي

So suffice me, and I have started my day poor to You, so enrich me

وَ أَصْبَحْتُ لَا أَعْرِفُ رَبّاً غَيْرَكَ

And I have started my day not knowing a lord other than You

فَاغْفِرْ لِي

So forgive me

وَ أَصْبَحْتُ مُقِرّاً لَكَ بِالرُّبُوبِيَّةِ

And I have started my day acknowledging Your lordship

مُعْتَرِفاً لَكَ بِالْعُبُودِيَّةِ

Confessing to You my servitude

وَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ

And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone without partner

إِلَهاً وَاحِداً أَحَداً صَمَداً لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ صاحِبَةً وَ لا وَلَداً

A god who is one, indivisible, eternal, who did not take a consort or a child

وَ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَ رَسُولُهُ

And that Muhammad is His servant and His messenger

أَرْسَلَهُ‌ بِالْهُدى‌ وَ دِينِ الْحَقِّ

He sent him with guidance and the religion of truth

لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَ لَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ‌

To make it prevail over all religion, even if the polytheists dislike it

فَبَلَّغَ رِسَالاتِهِ وَ نَصَحَ لِأُمَّتِهِ

So he conveyed His messages and advised his nation

وَ جَاهَدَ فِي اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ

And strove in the way of Allah as is due

وَ عَبَدَهُ حَتَّى أَتَاهُ‌ الْيَقِينُ

And worshiped Him until certainty came to him

صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَى آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ

May Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace

وَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ السَّاعَةَ آتِيَةٌ لا رَيْبَ فِيها

And I bear witness that the Hour is coming, there is no doubt about it

وَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْعَثُ مَنْ فِي الْقُبُورِ

And that Allah will resurrect those in the graves

وَ أَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ حَقٌّ وَ النَّارَ حَقٌّ

And that Paradise is true and the Fire is true

وَ الْبَعْثَ حَقٌّ

And the resurrection is true

وَ إِنِّي أُومِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَ بِرَسُولِهِ

And I believe in Allah and His messenger

صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَى آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ

May Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace

وَ بِمَلائِكَتِهِ وَ كُتُبِهِ وَ رُسُلِهِ

And in His angels, His books, and His messengers

لا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِنْ رُسُلِهِ‌

We do not differentiate between any of His messengers

اللَّهُمَّ فَاكْتُبْ لِي هَذِهِ الشَّهَادَةَ عِنْدَكَ

O Allah, write this testimony for me with You

وَ لَقِّنِّيهَا عِنْدَ حَاجَتِي إِلَيْهَا

And make me recite it when I need it

وَ أَحْيِنِي عَلَيْهَا

And give me life upon it

وَ ابْعَثْنِي عَلَيْهَا

And resurrect me upon it

وَ احْشُرْنِي عَلَيْهَا

And gather me upon it

وَ اجْزِنِي جَزَاءَ مَنْ لَقِيَكَ بِهَا مُخْلِصاً غَيْرَ شَاكٍّ فِيهَا

And reward me as You reward those who meet You with it, sincere and not doubting

وَ لَا مُرْتَدٍّ عَنْهَا وَ لَا مُبَدِّلٍ لَهَا

And not turning away from it, and not altering it

آمِينَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ

Ameen, Lord of the worlds

وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلَى آلِهِ الطَّيِّبِينَ الطَّاهِرِينَ الْأَخْيَارِ

May Allah bless Muhammad and his pure and good family

وَ سَلَّمَ كَثِيراً

And grant them much peace

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ

Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Allah, and there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest

وَ أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ غَفَّارُ الذُّنُوبِ وَ أَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

And I seek forgiveness from Allah, who there is no god but He, the Forgiver of sins, and I repent to Him

وَ أَسْأَلُهُ أَنْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيَّ

And I ask Him to accept my repentance

وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ

And there is no power and no strength except by Allah, the Most High, the Most Great
