ِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

يَا أَوَّلَ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَ يَا آخِرَ الْآخِرِينَ

O the First of the first! O the Last of the last!

يَا وَلِيَّ الْأَوْلِيَاءِ وَ يَا جَبَّارَ الْجَبَابِرَةِ

O Guardian of the guardians! O' Compeller of the compellers!

وَ يَا إِلَهَ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَ الْآخِرِينَ

O Lord of the First ones and the Last ones!

أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَنِي وَ لَمْ أَكُ شَيْئاً

You created me while I was nothing!

وَ أَنْتَ أَمَرْتَنِي بِالطَّاعَةِ فَأَطَعْتُ سَيِّدِي جُهْدِي

O my Master! And You ordered me to obey, and I did with my utmost effort

فَإِنْ كُنْتُ تَوَانَيْتُ أَوْ أَخْطَأْتُ أَوْ نَسِيتُ فَتَفَضَّلْ عَلَيَّ سَيِّدِي

O my Master! If I was lethargic, erred or forgot, please favor me

وَ لَا تَقْطَعْ رَجَائِي

and do not cut off my hopes

وَ امْنُنْ عَلَيَّ بِالْجَنَّةِ [بِالرَّحْمَةِ]

And favor me with Paradise

وَ اجْمَعْ بَيْنِي وَ بَيْنَ نَبِيِّ الرَّحْمَةِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ

and unite me with the Prophet of Mercy – Muhammad ibn Abdullah – peace be upon him and his family

وَ اغْفِرْ لِي‌ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ‌

Please forgive me as You are the Ever-Relenting, the Merciful!
