رَبُّنَا وَ رَبُّكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ
rabbunā wa rabbuka l-lahu rabbu l-ʿālamīna
Our Lord and your Lord is Allah, Lord of the worlds
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ عَلَيْنَا هلالاً مُبَارَكًا،
Allāhumma ajʿalhu ʿalaynā hlālāan mubārakan,
O Allah make it a blessed crescent for us
وَ وَفِّقْنَا لِصِيَامٍ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ،
wa wa fiqnā li ṣiyāmin shahri ramaḍāna,
and grant us the chance to fast in it
وَ وَ سَلِّمُنَا فِيهِ، وَ تَسَلَّمْنَا مِنْهُ،
wa wa sallimunā fīhi, wa tasallamnā minhu,
and keep us safe in it and make us receive (good) from it
فِي يُسْرٍ وَ عَافِيَةٍ،
fī yusrin wa ʿāfiyatin,
in ease and health
وَ اسْتَعْمِلُنَا فِيهِ بِطَاعَتِكَ،
wa s-taʿmilunā fīhi bi ṭāʿatika,
and use us in it for Your obedience
إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
innaka ʿalā kulli shay'in qadīrun
surely You have power over all things
