اللَّهُمَّ إِلَيْكَ غَدَوْتُ بِحَاجَتِي وَ بِكَ أَنْزَلْتُ الْيَوْمَ فَقْرِي وَ مَسْكَنَتِي فَإِنِّي لِمَغْفِرَتِكَ وَ رَحْمَتِكَ أَرْجَى مِنِّي لِعَمَلِي وَ مَغْفِرَتُكَ وَ رَحْمَتُكَ أَوْسَعُ لِي مِنْ ذُنُوبِي كُلِّهَا

“O‟ my God! I find myself coming to You for the settlement of my needs. I present my poverty and helplessness to You as I have more hopes in Your Forgiveness and Mercy than my deeds. Your Forgiveness is more extensive than all my sins.

اللَّهُمَّ فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ تَوَلَّ قَضَاءَ كُلِّ حَاجَةٍ لِي بِقُدْرَتِكَ عَلَيْهَا وَ تَيْسِيرِهَا عَلَيْكَ وَ فَقْرِي إِلَيْكَ

O‟ my God! Please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny ! Please take charge of fulfilling all my needs by Your Power, and it being easy for You to do so, and by my being in need of You.

فَإِنِّي لَمْ أُصِبْ خَيْراً قَطُّ إِلَّا مِنْكَ وَ لَمْ يَصْرِفْ عَنِّي سُوءً قَطُّ أَحَدٌ غَيْرُكَ وَ لَا أَرْجُو لِأَمْرِ آخِرَتِي وَ دُنْيَايَ سِوَاكَ يَوْمَ يُفْرِدُنِي‌ النَّاسُ فِي حُفْرَتِي وَ أَقْضِي إِلَيْكَ يَا كَرِيمُ

No good has ever reached me from anyone but You. No one but You has ever removed any evil from me. And I have hopes in no one but You regarding the affairs of this world and the Hereafter – The day on which the people leave me alone in my grave and I am delivered to You! O‟ the All-Generous!

اللَّهُمَّ مَنْ تَهَيَّأَ وَ تَعَبَّأَ وَ أَعَدَّ وَ اسْتَعَدَّ لِوِفَادَةٍ إِلَى مَخْلُوقٍ رَجَاءَ رِفْدِهِ وَ طَلَبَ نَائِلِهِ وَ جَائِزَتِهِ

O‟ my God! Many people today try and prepare the grounds to turn to other people hopeful of getting bestowals, gifts and grants.

فَإِلَيْكَ يَا رَبِّ تَهْيِئَتِي وَ تَعْبِيَتِي وَ اسْتِعْدَادِي رَجَاءَ رِفْدِكَ وَ طَلَبَ نَائِلِكَ وَ جَائِزَتِكَ

O‟ my Master! I decide, try and exert myself, prepare myself and smooth the way, and turn to You hoping to obtain Your Favors, and seeking to attain Your Nobility and Prizes.

فَلَا تُخَيِّبْ دُعَائِي يَا مَنْ لَا يَخِيبُ عَلَيْهِ السَّائِلُ وَ لَا يَنْقُصُهُ نَائِلٌ فَإِنِّي لَمْ آتِكَ ثِقَةً بِعَمَلٍ صَالِحٍ عَمِلْتُهُ وَ لَا لِوَفَادَةٍ إِلَى مَخْلُوقٍ رَجَوْتُهُ

Please do not fail my supplications. O‟ He from whom nothing is lessened when You Reward. O‟ He who does not send away any destitute disappointed. Surely I have come to You with no good deeds to rely upon, but I never place hopes in other people.

أَتَيْتُكَ مُقِرّاً بِالْإِسَاءَةِ عَلَى نَفْسِي وَ الظُّلْمِ لَهَا مُعْتَرِفاً بِأَنْ لَا حُجَّةَ لِي وَ لَا عُذْرَ أَتَيْتُكَ أَرْجُو عَظِيمَ عَفْوِكَ الَّذِي عَفَوْتَ بِهِ عَنِ الْخَاطِئِينَ[عَلَوْتَ بِهِ عَلَى الْخَاطِئِينَ‌] [الْخَطَّاءِينَ‌]

I have come to You confessing to my vain desires, and ashamed of my guilt. I have come to You without any excuse or argument hoping for Your Pardon for You are the One who pardons wrongdoers.

فَلَمْ يَمْنَعْكَ طُولُ عُكُوفِهِمْ عَلَى عَظِيمِ الْجُرْمِ أَنْ عُدْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِالرَّحْمَةِ وَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ فَيَا مَنْ رَحْمَتُهُ وَاسِعَةٌ وَ عَفْوُهُ عَظِيمٌ يَا عَظِيمُ يَا عَظِيمُ يَا عَظِيمُ

Even their long persistence in great crimes does not prevent You from returning toward them with Mercy! O‟ He whose Mercy is All-Embracing. And He whose Forgiveness is Great. O Great! O Great!

يَا رَبِّ لَيْسَ يَرُدُّ غَضَبَكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَتُكَ وَ حِلْمُكَ وَ لَا يُنْجِي [يُنْجِينِي وَ يُنْجِينِي‌] مِنْ سَخَطِكَ [سخطك‌] إِلَّا التَّضَرُّعُ إِلَيْكَ

O Lord! Nothing but Your Patience can offset Your Wrath and nothing but crying to You can save me from Your Anger.

فَهَبْ لِي يَا إِلَهِي فَرَجاً بِالْقُدْرَةِ الَّتِي تُحْيِي بِهَا مَيْتَ الْبِلَادِ وَ لَا تُهْلِكْنِي غَمّاً حَتَّى تَسْتَجِيبَ لِي دُعَائِي وَ تُعَرِّفَنِي [تعترفني‌] الْإِجَابَةَ

O‟ my God! Please grant me relief with the Power with which You revive barren ground, and make it fertile and do not make me rush into deadly danger, in frustration until You fulfill my prayers and let me know about its fulfillment.

وَ أَذِقْنِي طَعْمَ الْعَافِيَةِ إِلَى مُنْتَهَى أَجَلِي

Please let me taste the sweetness of healthiness until the time of my death.

وَ لَا تُشْمِتْ بِي عَدُوِّي وَ لَا تُسَلِّطْهُ عَلَيَّ وَ لَا تُمَكِّنْهُ مِنْ عُنُقِي

Do not subject me to the enemy‟s ridicule and do not subject me to him and do not let him overcome me.

إِلَهِي إِنْ وَضَعْتَنِي فَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَرْفَعُنِي وَ إِنْ رَفَعْتَنِي فَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَضَعُنِي

O‟ my God! If You lower my position no one can raise my position! If You improve my position, no one can lower my position!

وَ إِنْ أَهْلَكْتَنِي فَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَعْرِضُ لَكَ فِي عَبْدِكَ أَوْ يَسْأَلُكَ عَنْ أَمْرِهِ

If You condemn me no one can object to You about Your servant or question You regarding his plight!

وَ قَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ فِي حُكْمِكَ ظُلْمٌ وَ لَا فِي نَقِمَتِكَ عَجَلَةٌ وَ إِنَّمَا يَعْجَلُ مَنْ يَخَافُ الْفَوْتَ وَ إِنَّمَا يَحْتَاجُ إِلَى الظُّلْمِ الضَّعِيفُ وَ قَدْ تَعَالَيْتَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ عُلُوّاً كَبِيراً

I know that there is no injustice in what You Decree, and there is no rush in Your sudden misfortunes, for only one who fears death rushes and one who is weak needs to resort to highhandedness; and indeed You are Sublime away from this! „Exalted and Great (beyond measure)!‟1Al-Isra 17:43

فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ انْصُرْنِي وَ اهْدِنِي وَ ارْحَمْنِي وَ آثِرْنِي وَ ارْزُقْنِي وَ

Please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (MGB). Please assist me, guide me and have Mercy upon me. Give me priority and provide for my sustenance.

أَعِنِّي وَ اغْفِرْ لِي وَ تُبْ عَلَيَّ وَ اعْصِمْنِي وَ اسْتَجِبْ لِي فِي جَمِيعِ مَا سَأَلْتُكَ وَ أَرِدْهُ لِي وَ قَدِّرْهُ لِي وَ يَسِّرْهُ وَ امْضِهْ وَ بَارِكْ لِي فِيهِ

Please help me, forgive me and turn to me. Protect me and fulfill all that I ask You for. Please Will it, Destine it, Decree it and easily Sign and Bless it.

وَ تَفَضَّلْ عَلَيَّ بِهِ وَ أَسْعِدْنِي بِمَا تُعْطِينِي مِنْهُ وَ زِدْنِي مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْوَاسِعِ سَعَةً مِنْ نِعَمِكَ الدَّائِمَةِ وَ أَوْصِلْ لِي ذَلِكَ كُلَّهُ بِخَيْرِ الْآخِرَةِ وَ نَعِيمِهَا يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

Please favor me with it and make me happy with what You give me, and give me more through Your Extensive Nobility and the plenty of Eternal Blessings near You. Please link that to the good and the bliss of the next world – O‟ the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.”
