بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

bis-millahir-rahmanir-rahim

In the Name of Allah, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate

اللّهُمَّ إنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ فِي مَا تَقْضِي وَتُقَدِّرُ

allahumma inni as`aluka fi ma taqdi watuqaddir

O Allah: I beseech You regarding that which You decide and determine

مِنْ الأمْرِ الْمَحْتُومِ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ

minal-amril-mahtumi fi laylatil-qadr

from the inevitable decisions that You make on the Grand Night—

مِنَ الْقَضَاءِ الَّذِي لا يُرَدُّ وَلا يُبَدَّلُ

minal-qadha`il-ladhi la yuraddu wala yubaddal

decisions that are neither retreated nor altered—

[00:29.00]

أَنْ تَكْتُبَنِي مِنْ حُجَّاجِ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ

an taktubani min hujjaji baytikal-haram

that You may include me with the pilgrims to Your Holy House,

الْمَبْرُورِ حَجُّهُمُ،

al-mabruri hajjuhum

whose pilgrimage is admitted by You

[00:39.00]

الْمَشْكُورِ سَعْيُهُمُ،

al-mashkuri sa’yuhum

and whose efforts are thankfully accepted by You,

[00:42.00]

الْمَغْفُورِ ذُنُوبُهُمُ،

al-maghfuri dhunubuhum

and whose sins are forgiven by You,

[00:46.00]

الْمُكَفَّرِ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُهُمْ،

al-mukaffari `anhum sayyi`atuhum

and whose offenses are pardoned by You,

وَاجْعَلْ فِي مَا تَقْضِي وَتُقَدِّرُ

waj-`al fi ma taqdi watuqaddir

and that You, also within Your determined decisions,

أَنْ تُطِيلَ عُمْرَي

an tutila `umri

that You decide for me a long life,

[01:01.00]

وَتُوَسِّعَ عَلَيَّ رِزْقِي،

watuwassi’a `alayya rizqi

and expansive sustenance,
