اللَّهُمَّ أَهِلَّهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالْأَمْنِ وَ الْإِيمَانِ وَ السَّلَامَةِ وَ الْإِسْلَامِ رَبِّي وَ رَبُّكَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ.
“O’ my God! Please let this month be a period of peace,faith, safety and total submission to Your Will for us. God the Honorable the Exalted is your Lord and mine.”
1.The Holy Prophet(saws) said
2.Recommended to bathe oneself (Ghusl) at the first night of Rajab. Some scholars have reported the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) as saying, “Whoever receives the month of Rajab and bathes himself in the first, middle, and last of it, will be released from all of his sins to return as pure as the day of his birth.”
3.It is recommended to offer, after the Maghrib Prayer, a twenty unit prayer and to recite in each unit Surah al-Fatihah once and Surah al-Tawhid once Whoever offers this prayer, his family members, property, sons, and he will be kept saved from harm, rescued against the grave torture, and pass the Sirat as swiftly as lightning without being called to account.
4. Two unit prayer The following is narrated in Ruwzat al-Abedin on the authority of the Prophet(saws): Two unit prayer in the first unit of which Surah al-Fatihah should be recited once, Surah al-Inshirah (No.94) recited once, and Surah al-Tawhid recited three times. In the second unit, Surahs al-Fatihah, al-Inshirah (No. 94), al-Tawhid, al-Falaq, and al-Nas should be recited once each.
لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ
la ilaha illa allahu
There is no god save Allah.
After taslim, repeat thirty times:
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
and Salawaat should be repeated thirty times:
“Whoever says this two units of prayers after the Isha prayer on the first night of the month would be forgiven for his past sins and his wrongdoings and would become as a newborn baby.” Holy Prophet(saws)
5.It is recommended to offer a thirty unit prayer in each unit Surah al-Fatihah is recited once, Surah al-Kafirun (No. 109) recited once, and Surah al-Tawheed repeated three times Reward narratd is that God would forgive all his sins –minor or major, and would record his name as those who pray for the next year, and would protect him from hypocrisy.
