Perform Ghusl (Bath) with the thought of washing away sins and as if its your last Ghusl.
Perform Fast on this Day
Recite 100 times 'Astaghfirullah' with attention to seeking forgiveness.
Recite 'Tasbeehaatul Arbaa' 100 times so that Allah may forgive all past sins and fulfill all wishes relating to this world and the hereafter
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ وَ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ وَ اللهُ اَكْبَر
subhaanallaahi wal hamdu lillaahi wa laa ilaaha illallaahu wallaahu akbar
Glory be to Allah, Praise be to Allah, there is no god but Allah, and Allah is Great.

Recite Dua e Kumayl taught by Imam Ali(as) on 15th Shaban to Hz Kumayl
After Perform this
one may go to the terrace/elevated place, look left, right & towards the sky & recite :
السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللّه السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ وَرَحْمَةُ اللّه وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
Assalamu Alalika Ya Aba Abdillah Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah e wabarakatoh
Peace be upon you; O Aba-`Abdullah! Peace and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.
