[00:20.00]

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

[00:31.00]

اللّهُمَّ إنِّي أَسْأَلُك بِالتَّجَلِّي الأَعْظَمِ

allahumma inni as-aluka bilttajally ala`zami

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of the Grandest Manifestation

[00:40.00]

فِي هذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ الْمُعَظَّمِ،

fi hadhihi allaylati mina alshshahri almu`azzmi

at this night in this glorified month

[00:51.00]

وَالْمُرْسَلِ الْمُكَرَّمِ،

wal-mursali almukarrami

and in the name of the honored Messenger,

[00:55.00]

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ

an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa alihi

that You send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household

[01:01.00]

وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لَنَا مَا أَنْتَ بِهِ مِنَّا أَعْلَمُ،

wa an taghfira lana ma anta bihi minna a`lamu

and that You forgive us that which You know better than we do.

[01:09.00]

يَا مَنْ يَعْلَمُ وَلا نَعْلَمُ.

ya man ya`lamu wa la na`lamu

O He Who knows while we do not.

[01:16.00]

اللّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِي لَيْلَتِنَا هذِهِ

allahumma barik lana fi laylatina hadhihi

O Allah: (please do) bless us at this night

[01:25.00]

الَّتِي بِشَرَفِ الرِّسَالَةِ فَضَّلْتَهَا،

allaty bisharafi alrrisalati fazaltaha

which You have exalted with the honor of the Divine Mission,

[01:33.00]

وَبِكَرَامَتِكَ أَجْلَلْتَهَا،

wa bikaramatika ajlaltaha

and You have esteemed with Your honoring,

[01:38.00]

وَبِالْمَحَلِّ الشَّرِيفِ أَحْلَلْتَهَا.

wa bilmahalli alshsharifi ahlaltaha

and You have raised to the Honorable Place.

[01:46.00]

اللّهُمَّ فَإنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ بِالْمَبْعَثِ الشَّرِيفِ،

allahumma fa’inna nasaluka bilmab`athi alshsharifi

O Allah: We thus beseech You in the name of the honorable mission,

[01:57.00]

وَالسَّيِّدِ اللَّطِيفِ،

wal-ssayyidi allatifi

the gentle master,

[02:02.00]

وَالْعُنْصُرِ الْعَفِيفِ،

wal-`unsuri al`afifi

and the chaste line

[02:08.00]

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ

an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa alihi

that You may bless Muhammad and his Household

[02:14.00]

وَأَنْ تَجْعَلَ أَعْمَالَنَا فِي هذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ

wa an taj`ala a`malana fi hadhihi allaylati

and that You decide our deeds at this night,

[02:22.00]

وَفِي سَائِرِ اللَّيَالِي مَقْبُولَةً،

wa fi sa’iri alliali maqbulatan

as well as all the other nights, as acceptable,

[02:29.00]

وَذُنُوبَنَا مَغْفُورَةً،

wa dhunubana maghfuratan

our sins as forgiven,

[02:35.00]

وَحَسَنَاتِنَا مَشْكُورَةً،

wa hasanatina mashkuratan

our good efforts as praiseworthy,

[02:41.00]

وَسَيِّئَاتِنَا مَسْتُورَةً،

wa sayyi’atina masturatan

our evildoings as concealed,

[02:47.00]

وَقُلُوبَنَا بِحُسْنِ الْقَوْلِ مَسْرُورَةً،

wa qulubana bihusni alqawli masruratan

our hearts as pleased with decent wording,

[02:55.00]

وَأَرْزَاقَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ بِالْيُسْرِ مَدْرُورَةً.

wa arzaqana min ladunka biliyusri madruratan

and our sustenance that You decide for us as copiously flowing with easiness.

[03:05.00]

اللّهُمَّ إنَّكَ تَرَى وَلا تُرَى،

allahumma innaka tara wa la tura

O Allah: Verily You see [everything] but nothing can see You

[03:12.00]

وَأَنْتَ بِالْمَنْظَرِ الأَعْلَى،

wa anta bilmanzari ala`la

while You are in the Highest Prospect.

[03:18.00]

وَإنَّ إلَيْكَ الرُّجْعَى وَالْمُنْتَهَى،

wa inn ilayka alrruj`a wal-muntaha

And, verily, to You are the [final] return and goal.

[03:24.00]

وَإنَّ لَكَ الْمَمَاتَ وَالْمَحْيَا،

wa inna laka almamata wal-mahya

And, verily, to You are causing to death and granting of life.

[03:31.00]

وَإنَّ لَكَ الآخِرَةَ وَالأُولَى.

wa inna laka alakhirata wal-‘ula

And to You are the Last and the First [of all things].

[03:39.00]

اللّهُمَّ إنَّا نَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ نَذِلَّ وَنَخْزَى،

allahumma inna na`udhu bika an nadhilla wa nakhza

O Allah: we, surely, seek Your protection against meeting of disgrace and shame

[03:47.00]

وَأَنْ نَأْتِيَ مَا عَنْهُ تَنْهَى.

wa an natiya ma `anhu tanha

and against committing that which You have ordered us not to do.

[03:53.00]

اللّهُمَّ إنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ الْجَنَّةَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ،

allahumma inna nasaluka aljannata birahmatika

O Allah: we, surely, pray You for Paradise, out of Your mercy,

[04:01.00]

وَنَسْتَعِيذُ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ

wa nasta`idhu bika mina alnnari

and we seek Your protection against Hellfire.

[04:06.00]

فَأَعِذْنَا مِنْهَا بِقُدْرَتِكَ،

fa-a`idhna minha biqudratika

So, (please do) save us from it, in the name of Your omnipotence.

[04:12.00]

وَنَسْأَلُكَ مِنَ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ

wa nasaluka mina alhuri al`ini

We, also, pray You for the women of Paradise;

[04:18.00]

فَارْزُقْنَا بِعِزَّتِكَ،

farzuqna bi`izztika

so, please do grant us them, in the name of Your might.

[04:23.00]

وَاجْعَلْ أَوْسَعَ أَرْزَاقِنَا عِنْدَ كِبَرِ سِنِّنَا،

waj`al awsa`a arzaqina `inda kibari sinnina

And (please do) make the most expansive of our sustenance be given to us when we become old aged,

[04:31.00]

وَأَحْسَنَ أَعْمَالِنَا عِنْدَ اقْتِرَابِ آجَالِنَا،

wa ahsana a`malina `inda aqtirabi ajalina

and make the best of our deeds be at the time close to our death.

[04:40.00]

وَأَطِلْ فِي طَاعَتِكَ،

wa atil fi ta`atika

And (please do) extend [our ages and make us spend them] in acts of obedience to You,

[04:44.00]

وَمَا يُقَرِّبُ إلَيْكَ،

wa ma yuqarribu ilayka

and in all that which draws us near to You,

[04:47.00]

وَيُحْظِي عِنْدَكَ،

wa yuhzy `indaka

and in all that which allow us to enjoy a good position with You,

[04:51.00]

وَيُزْلِفُ لَدَيْكَ أَعْمَارَنَا،

wa yuzlifu ladayka a`marana

and in all that which make our lives acceptable by You.

[04:57.00]

وَأَحْسِنْ فِي جَمِيعِ أَحْوَالِنَا وَأُمُورِنَا مَعْرِفَتَنَا،

wa ahsin fi jami`i ahwal-ina wa a’umurina ma`rifatana

And (please do) improve our recognition of You under all circumstance and conditions.

[05:09.00]

وَلا تَكِلْنَا إلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ فَيَمُنَّ عَلَيْنَا،

wa la takilna ila ahadin min khalqika fayamunn `alayna

And do not refer us to any of Your beings lest they shall always remind us of their favors to us.

[05:19.00]

وَتَفَضَّلْ عَلَيْنَا بِجَمِيعِ حَوَائِجِنَا لِلدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ،

wa tafazl `alayna bijami`i hawa’ijina lilddnia wal-akhirati

And please favor us by settling all our needs, in this world as well as the Next World.

[05:32.00]

وَابْدَأْ بِآبَائِنَا وَأَبْنَائِنَا

wabda bi-aba’ina wa abna’ina

And (please do) do the same thing to our forefathers, our descendants,

[05:40.00]

وَجَمِيعِ إخْوَانِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

wa jami`i ikhwanina almu´minina

and all our brethren-in-faith;

[05:45.00]

فِي جَمِيعِ مَا سَأَلْنَاكَ لأنْفُسِنَا

fi jami`i ma sa-alnaka

with regard to all that which we have besought You for ourselves

[05:48.00]

يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

li-anfusina ya arhama alrrahimina

O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

[05:56.00]

اللّهُمَّ إنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الْعَظِيمِ،

allahumma inna nasaluka bismika al`azimi

O Allah: we, verily, beseech You by Your Grand Name

[06:05.00]

وَمُلْكِكَ الْقَدِيمِ،

wa mulkika alqadimi

and Your Eternal Kingdom

[06:10.00]

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

to send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

[06:17.00]

وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لَنَا الذَّنْبَ الْعَظِيمَ،

wa an taghfira lana aldhdhanba al`azima

and to forgive our grave sins,

[06:22.00]

إنَّهُ لا يَغْفِرُ الْعَظِيمَ إلاّ الْعَظِيمُ.

innhu la yaghfiru al`azima illa al`azimu

for none can forgive the grave save the All-great.

[06:31.00]

اللّهُمَّ وَهذَا رَجَبٌ الْمُكَرَّمُ

allahumma wa hadha rajabun almukarramu

O Allah: this is Rajab, the honored month,

[06:37.00]

الَّذِي أَكْرَمْتَنَا بِهِ أَوَّلُ أَشْهُرِ الْحُرُمِ،

alladhy akramtana bihi awulu ash-huri alhurumi

which You have honored us through it, being the first of the Sacred Months,

[06:46.00]

أَكْرَمْتَنَا بِهِ مِنْ بَيْنِ الأُمَمِ،

akramtana bihi min bayni ala’umami

and You have selected us for this honor from amongst the other nations.

[06:52.00]

فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ يَا ذَا الْجُودِ وَالْكَرَمِ،

falaka alhamdu ya dhaljudi wal-karami

So, all praise be to You; O the Lord of Magnanimity and Generosity.

[06:58.00]

فَأَسْأَلُكَ بِهِ وَبِاسْمِكَ

fasaluka bihi wa bismika

I thus beseech You by Your Name,

[07:02.00]

الأَعْظَمِ الأَعْظَمِ الأَعْظَمِ،

ala`zami ala`zami ala`zami

the grandest, the grandest, the grandest,

[07:07.00]

الأَجَلِّ الأَكْرَمِ

al-ajalli alakrami

the most majestic, the most honorable,

[07:10.00]

الَّذِي خَلَقْتَهُ فَاسْتَقَرَّ فِي ظِلِّكَ

alladhy khalaqtahu fastaqarr fi zillika

that You have created so that it has settled under Your Shadow

[07:16.00]

فَلا يَخْرُجُ مِنْكَ إلَى غَيْرِكَ

fala yakhruju minka ila ghayrika

and it thus shall never transfer to anyone other than You—

[07:20.00]

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ،

an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ahli baytihi alttahirina

I beseech You to send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household, the immaculate,

[07:28.00]

وَأَنْ تَجْعَلَنَا مِنَ الْعَامِلِينَ فِيهِ بِطَاعَتِكَ،

wa an taj`alana mina al`amilina fihi bita`atika

and to include us, during this month, with those who practice acts of obedience to You

[07:35.00]

وَالآمِلِينَ فِيهِ لِشَفَاعَتِكَ.

wal-amilina fihi lishafa`atika

and those who hope for Your admission.

[07:42.00]

اللّهُمَّ اهْدِنَا إلَى سَوَاءِ السَّبِيلِ،

allahumma ahdina ila sawa‘i alssabili

O Allah: (please do) lead us to the Right Path,

[07:50.00]

وَاجْعَلْ مَقِيلَنَا عِنْدَكَ خَيْرَ مَقِيلٍ،

waj`al maqilana `indaka khayra maqilin

and choose for us the best resting-place with You,

[07:57.00]

فِي ظِلٍّ ظَلِيلٍ،

fi qulle zillin zalilin

under a dense shade

[08:04.00]

وَمُلْكٍ جَزِيلٍ،

wa mulkin jazilin

and abundant possession.

[08:08.00]

فَإنَّكَ حَسْبُنَا وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ.

fa’innaka hasbuna wa ni`ma alwakilu

Surely, You are Sufficient for us! Most Excellent are You, and in You do we trust!

[08:15.00]

اللّهُمَّ اقْلِبْنَا مُفْلِحِينَ مُنْجِحِينَ

allahumma aqlibna muflihina munjihina

O Allah: (please do) make us return (to You) with success and victory;

[08:25.00]

غَيْرَ مَغْضُوبٍ عَلَيْنَا وَلا ضَالّينَ

ghayra maghdubin `alayna wa la dallina

neither accursed (by You) nor misleading (the Right Path),

[08:33.00]

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

birahmatika ya arhama alrrahimina

out of Your mercy; O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

[08:40.00]

اللّهُمَّ إنِّي أَسْأَلُك بِعَزَائِمِ مَغْفِرَتِكَ،

allahumma inni as-aluka bi`aza’imi maghfiratika

O Allah: I earnestly beseech You, in the name of the matters that bring about Your forgiveness

[08:49.00]

وَبِوَاجِبِ رَحْمَتِكَ،

wa biwajibi rahmatika

and the matters that incumbently achieve Your mercy,

[08:54.00]

السَّلامَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ إثْمٍ،

alssalamata min kulli ithmin

to grant me safety from all sins,

[08:59.00]

وَالْغَنِيمَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ بِرٍّ،

wal-ghanimata min kulli birrin

gain of all decencies,

[09:04.00]

وَالْفَوْزَ بِالْجَنَّةِ،

wal-fawza biljannati

attainment of Paradise,

[09:08.00]

وَالنَّجَاةَ مِنَ النَّارِ.

wal-nnajata mina alnnari

redemption against Hellfire.

[09:14.00]

اللّهُمَّ دَعَاكَ الدَّاعُونَ وَدَعَوْتُكَ،

allahumma da`aka aldda`una wa da`awtuka

O Allah: In the same way as suppliants have besought You, I am beseeching You.

[09:23.00]

وَسَأَلَكَ السَّائِلُونَ وَسَأَلْتُكَ،

wa salaka alssa’iluna wa sa-altuka

And in the same way as implorers have begged You, I am begging You.

[09:31.00]

وَطَلَبَ إلَيْكَ الطَّالِبُونَ وَطَلَبْتُ إلَيْكَ.

wa talaba ilayka alttalibuna wa talabtu ilayka

And in the same way as requesters have asked You, I am asking You.

[09:40.00]

اللّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الثِّقَةُ وَالرَّجَاءُ،

allahumma anta alththiqatu wal-rraja‘u

O Allah: You are (my) trust and hope;

[09:48.00]

وَإلَيْكَ مُنْتَهَى الرَّغْبَةِ فِي الدُّعَاءِ.

wa ilayka muntaha alrrghbati fi alddu`a‘i

and You are the ultimate desire in my supplications.

[09:57.00]

اللّهُمَّ فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ

allahumma fasalli `ala muhammadin wa alihi

O Allah: send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household

[10:04.00]

وَاجْعَلِ الْيَقِينَ فِي قَلْبِي،

waj`ali aliyaqina fi qalbi

and establish conviction in my heart,

[10:09.00]

وَالنُّورَ فِي بَصَرِي

wal-nnura fi basary

light in my sight,

[10:13.00]

وَالنَّصِيحَةَ فِي صَدْرِي،

wal-nnsihata fi sadri

well-wishing in my chest,

[10:18.00]

وَذِكْرَكَ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ عَلَى لِسَانِي،

wa dhikraka billili wal-nnhari `ala lisani

and the mention of You on my tongue day and night,

[10:25.00]

وَرِزْقاً وَاسِعاً غَيْرَ مَمْنُونٍ وَلا مَحْظُورٍ فَارْزُقْنِي،

wa rizqan wasi`an ghayra mamnunin wa la mahzurin farzuqni

and expansive sustenance that is neither failing nor banned. So, please provide me sustenance

[10:34.00]

وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيمَا رَزَقْتَنِي،

wa barik li fima razaqtani

and bless that which You decide for me,

[10:40.00]

وَاجْعَلْ غِنَايَ فِي نَفْسِي،

waj`al ghinaiya fi nafsi

and make me self-sufficient,

[10:44.90]

وَرَغْبَتِي فِيمَا عِنْدَكَ

wa raghbaty fima `indaka

and make me desire for none save You;

[10:49.00]

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

birahmatika ya arhama alrrahimina

out of Your mercy, O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

[11:41.00]

اللّهُمَّ إنِّي قَصَدْتُكَ بِحَاجَتِي،

allahumma inni qasadtuka bihajati

O Allah: I am turning my face toward You asking for the settlement of my needs.

[11:50.00]

وَاعْتَمَدْتُ عَلَيْكَ بِمَسْأَلَتِي،

wa`tamadtu `alayka bimas-alati

And I depend upon You in submitting my problem.

[11:57.00]

وَتَوَجَّهْتُ إلَيْكَ بِأَئِمَّتِي وَسَادَتِي.

wa tawajjhtu ilayka bi-a’immaty wa sadati

And I submit before You my Imams and Masters.

[12:06.00]

اللّهُمَّ انْفَعْنَا بِحُبِّهِمْ،

allahumma anfa`na bihubbihim

O Allah: benefit us by our love for them,

[12:12.00]

وَأَوْرِدْنَا مَوْرِدَهُمْ،

wa awridna mawridahum

and make us follow their examples,

[12:18.00]

وَارْزُقْنَا مُرَافَقَتَهُمْ،

warzuqna murafaqatahum

and grant us their companionship,

[12:23.00]

وَأَدْخِلْنَا الْجَنَّةَ فِي زُمْرَتِهِمْ

wa adkhilna aljannata fi zumratihim

and allow us to enter Paradise with their group;

[12:29.00]

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

birahmatika ya arhama alrrahimina

by Your mercy, O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

[00:01.00]

ِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

bismillahir rahmanir raheem.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

[00:03.00]

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

[00:45.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ آدَمَ خَلِيفَةِ ٱللَّهِ

as-salamu `alayka ya waritha adama khalifati allahi

Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Adam the vicegerent of Allah.

[00:50.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ نُوحٍ صِفْوَةِ ٱللَّهِ

as-salamu `alayka ya waritha nuhin sifwati allahi

Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Noah the choice of Allah.

[00:57.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلِ ٱللَّهِ

as-salamu `alayka ya waritha ibrahima khalili allahi

Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Abraham the intimate friend of Allah.

[01:03.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُوسَىٰ كَلِيمِ ٱللَّهِ

as-salamu `alayka ya waritha musa kalimi allahi

Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Moses the spoken by Allah.

[01:08.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عِيسَىٰ رُوحِ ٱللَّهِ

as-salamu `alayka ya waritha `isa ruhi allahi

Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Jesus the spirit of Allah.

[01:12.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُحَمَّدٍ سَيِّدِ رُسُلِ ٱللَّهِ

as-salamu `alayka ya waritha muhammadin sayyidi rusuli allahi

Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Muhammad the chief of Allah’s Messengers.

[01:19.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَمِيرَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

as-salamu `alayka ya amira almu'minina

Peace be upon you, O commander of the faithful.

[01:24.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا إِمَامَ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

as-salamu `alayka ya imama almuttaqina

Peace be upon you, O epitome of the pious ones.

[01:28.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَيِّدَ ٱلْوَصِيِّينَ

as-salamu `alayka ya sayyida alwasiyyina

Peace be upon you, O chief of the Prophets’ successors.

[01:33.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَصِيَّ رَسُولِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

as-salamu `alayka ya wasiyya rasuli rabbi al`alamina

Peace be upon you, O successor of the Messenger of the Lord of the worlds.

[01:38.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عِلْمِ ٱلأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلآخِرِينَ

as-salamu `alayka ya waritha `ilmi al-awwalina wal-akhirina

Peace be upon you, O inheritor of the knowledge of the past and the coming generations.

[01:44.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبَأُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ

as-salamu `alayka ayyuha alnnaba'u al`azimu

Peace be upon you, O Great News.

[01:49.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلصِّرَاطُ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمُ

as-salamu `alayka ayyuha alssiratu almustaqimu

Peace be upon you, O Straight Path.

[01:53.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُهَذُّبُ ٱلْكَرِيمُ

as-salamu `alayka ayyuha almuhadhdhabu alkarimu

Peace be upon you, O noble, refined one.

[01:57.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْوَصِيُّ ٱلتَّقِيُّ

as-salamu `alayka ayyuha alwasiyyu alttaqiyyu

Peace be upon you, O pious successor (of the Prophet).

[02:01.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلرَّضِيُّ ٱلزَّكِيُّ

as-salamu `alayka ayyuha alrradiyyu alzzakiyyu

Peace be upon you, O well-pleased, pure one.

[02:05.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْبَدْرُ ٱلْمُضِيءُ

as-salamu `alayka ayyuha albadru almudi'u

Peace be upon you, O shining full moon.

[02:08.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلصِّدِّيقُ ٱلأَكْبَرُ

as-salamu `alayka ayyuha alssiddiqu al-akbaru

Peace be upon you, O grandest veracious one.

[02:13.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْفَارُوقُ ٱلأَعْظَمُ

as-salamu `alayka ayyuha alfaruqu al-a`zamu

Peace be upon you, O greatest distinguisher (between the right and the wrong).

[02:17.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلسِّرَاجُ ٱلْمُنِيرُ

as-salamu `alayka ayyuha alssiraju almuniru

Peace be upon you, O glowing lantern.

[02:21.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا إِمَامَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ

as-salamu `alayka ya imama alhuda

Peace be upon you, O leader to the true guidance.

[02:24.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عَلَمَ ٱلتُّقَىٰ

as-salamu `alayka ya `alama alttuqa

Peace be upon you, O pattern of piety.

[02:28.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ

as-salamu `alayka ya hujjata allahi alkubra

Peace be upon you, O grand argument of Allah.

[02:32.00]

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَاصَّةَ ٱللَّهِ وَخَالِصَتَهُ

as-salamu `alayka ya khassata allahi wa khalisatahu

Peace be upon you, O select and elite of Allah,

[02:39.00]

وَأَمِينَ ٱللَّهِ وَصَفْوَتَهُ

wa amina allahi wa safwatahu

trustee and choice of Allah,

[02:41.00]

وَبَابَ ٱللَّهِ وَحُجَّتَهُ

wa baba allahi wa hujjatahu

door to and argument of Allah,

[02:44.00]

وَمَعْدِنَ حُكْمِ ٱللَّهِ وَسِرَّهُ

wa ma`dina hukmi allahi wa sirrahu

source and secret of Allah’s judgment,

[02:48.00]

وَعَيْبَةَ عِلْمِ ٱللَّهِ وَخَازِنَهُ

wa `aybata `ilmi allahi wa khazinahu

guardian and keeper of Allah’s knowledge,

[02:51.00]

وَسَفِيرَ ٱللَّهِ فِي خَلْقِهِ

wa safira allahi fi khalqihi

and envoy of Allah among His creatures.

[02:54.00]

أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ أَقَمْتَ ٱلصَّلاَةَ

ashhadu annaka aqamta alssalata

I bear witness that you performed the prayers,

[02:58.00]

وَآتَيْتَ ٱلزَّكَاةَ

wa atayta alzzakata

paid the zakat,

[03:01.00]

وَأَمَرْتَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ

wa amarta bilma`rufi

enjoined the right,

[03:03.00]

وَنَهَيْتَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنْكَرِ

wa nahayta `an almunkari

forbade the wrong,

[03:05.00]

وَٱتَّبَعْتَ ٱلرَّسُولَ

wattaba`ta alrrasula

followed the Messenger,

[03:07.00]

وَتَلَوْتَ ٱلْكِتَابَ حَقَّ تِلاَوَتِهِ

wa talawta alkitaba haqqa tilawatihi

recited the Book as exactly as it must be recited,

[03:11.00]

وَبَلَّغْتَ عَنِ ٱللَّهِ

wa ballaghta `an allahi

conveyed the messages of Allah,

[03:14.00]

وَوَفَيْتَ بِعَهْدِ ٱللَّهِ

wa wafayta bi`ahdi allahi

fulfilled your covenant with Allah,

[03:16.00]

وَتَمَّتْ بِكَ كَلِمَاتُ ٱللَّهِ

wa tammat bika kalimatu allahi

the Words of Allah were accomplished by you,

[03:20.00]

وَجَاهَدْتَ فِي ٱللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ

wa jahadta fi allahi haqqa jihadihi

strove in Allah’s way in the best manner,

[03:24.00]

وَنَصَحْتَ لِلَّهِ وَلِرَسُولِهِ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

wa nasahta lillahi wa lirasulihi salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi

advised for the sake of Allah and for the sake of His Messenger—peace be upon him and his Household,

[03:32.00]

وَجُدْتَ بِنَفْسِكَ صَابِراً مُحْتَسِباً

wa judta binafsika sabiran muhtasiban

and sacrificed yourself with steadfastness, seeking Allah’s reward,

[03:37.00]

مُجَاهِداً عَنْ دِينِ ٱللَّهِ

mujahidan `an dini allahi

struggling for the defense of Allah’s religion,

[03:40.00]

مُوَقِّياً لِرَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

muwaqqiyan lirasuli allahi salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi

protecting Allah’s Messenger—peace be upon him and his Household,

[03:46.00]

طَالِباً مَا عِنْدَ ٱللَّهِ

taliban ma `inda allahi

seeking for that which is with Allah,

[03:48.00]

رَاغِباً فِيمَا وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ

raghiban fima wa`ada allahu

and desiring for that which Allah has promised.

[03:51.00]

وَمَضَيْتَ لِلَّذِي كُنْتَ عَلَيْهِ شَهِيداً

wa madayta lilladhi kunta `alayhi shahidan

You also sealed your life as martyr,

[03:55.00]

وَشَاهِداً وَمَشْهُوداً

wa shahidan wa mashhudan

a witness, and witnessed;

[03:57.00]

فَجَزَاكَ ٱللَّهُ عَنْ رَسُولِهِ

fajazaka allahu `an rasulihi

so, may Allah reward you

[04:02.00]

وَعَنِ ٱلإِسْلاَمِ وَأَهْلِهِ

wa `an al-islami wa ahlihi

on behalf of His Messenger, Islam, and the people of Islam

[04:04.00]

مِنْ صِدِّيقٍ أَفْضَلَ ٱلْجَزَاءِ

min siddiqin afdala aljaza'i

with the most favorite reward, for you are veracious.

[04:08.00]

أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ كُنْتَ أَوَّلَ ٱلْقَوْمِ إِسْلاَماً

ashhadu annaka kunta awwala alqawmi islaman

I bear witness that you were the first to embrace Islam,

[04:13.00]

وَأَخْلَصَهُمْ إِيـمَاناً

wa akhlasahum imanan

the most sincere in faith,

[04:16.00]

وَأَشَدَّهُمْ يَقِيناً

wa ashaddahum yaqinan

the most confident,

[04:18.00]

وَأَخْوَفَهُمْ لِلَّهِ

wa akhwafahum lillahi

and you were the most Allah-fearing,

[04:21.00]

وَأَعْظَمَهُمْ عَنَاءً

wa a`zamahum `ana'an

the most steadfast (against ordeals for the sake of Islam),

[04:23.00]

وَأَحْوَطَهُمْ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

wa ahwatahum `ala rasuli allahi salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi

the most watchful for Allah’s Messenger, peace be upon him and his Household,

[04:28.00]

وَأَفْضَلَهُمْ مَنَاقِبَ

wa afdalahum manaqiba

endowed with the most favorable merits,

[04:30.00]

وَأَكْثَرَهُمْ سَوَابِقَ

wa aktharahum sawabiqa

the foremost of everyone else in everything,

[04:33.00]

وَأَرْفَعَهُمْ دَرَجَةً

wa arfa`ahum darajatan

the owner of the most elevated rank,

[04:36.00]

وَأَشْرَفَهُمْ مَنْزِلَةً

wa ashrafahum manzilatan

the owner of the most honorable position,

[04:38.00]

وَأَكْرَمَهُمْ عَلَيْهِ

wa akramahum `alayhi

and the most respected (by Almighty Allah and His Messenger).

[04:40.00]

فَقَوِيْتَ حِينَ وَهَنُوٱ

faqawita hina wahanu

Thus, you became stronger when they became weak

[04:43.00]

وَلَزِمْتَ مِنْهَاجَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

wa lazimta minhaja rasuli allahi salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi

and you abode by the course of Allah’s Messenger, peace be upon him and his Household.

[04:50.00]

وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ كُنْتَ خَلِيفَتَهُ حَقّاً

wa ashhadu annaka kunta khalifatahu haqqan

I also bear witness that you were the true vicegerent of him (i.e. the Holy Prophet);

[04:58.00]

لَمْ تُنَازَعْ بِرَغْمِ ٱلْمُنَافِقِينَ

lam tunaza` biraghmi almunafiqina

no one could ever compete with you in this position in spite of the existence of hypocrites,

[05:01.00]

وَغَيْظِ ٱلْكَافِرِينَ

wa ghayzi alkafirina

the despise of the unbelievers,

[05:03.00]

وَضِغْنِ ٱلْفَاسِقِينَ

wa dighni alfasiqina

and the malice of the wicked.

[05:05.00]

وَقُمْتَ بِٱلأَمْرِ حِينَ فَشِلُوٱ

wa qumta bil-amri hina fashilu

You also managed the matters when they failed to do so,

[05:08.00]

وَنَطَقْتَ حِينَ تَتَعْتَعُوٱ

wa nataqta hina tata`ta`u

you spoke (the truth) when they stammered,

[05:11.00]

وَمَضَيْتَ بِنُورِ ٱللَّهِ إِذْ وَقَفُوٱ

wa madayta binuri allahi idh waqafu

and you carried on with the light of Allah when they stopped.

[05:14.00]

فَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ فَقَدِ ٱهْتَدَىٰ

faman ittaba`aka faqad ihtada

Hence, he who follows you has actually been led to the true guidance.

[05:17.00]

كُنْتَ أَوَّلَهُمْ كَلاَماً

kunta awwalahum kalaman

You were the first to speak,

[05:20.00]

وَأَشَدَّهُمْ خِصَاماً

wa ashaddahum khisaman

the firmest in refuting the rivals,

[05:23.00]

وَأَصْوَبَهُمْ مَنْطِقاً

wa aswabahum mantiqan

the most eloquent of them,

[05:25.00]

وَأَسَدَّهُمْ رَأْياً

wa asaddahum ra'yan

the most apposite in opinions,

[05:27.00]

وَأَشْجَعَهُمْ قَلْباً

wa ashja`ahum qalban

the most courageous,

[05:29.00]

وَأَكْثَرَهُمْ يَقِيناً

wa aktharahum yaqinan

the most confident of them,

[05:31.00]

وَأَحْسَنَهُمْ عَمَلاً

wa ahsanahum `amalan

the best of them in deeds,

[05:34.00]

وَأَعْرَفَهُمْ بِٱلأُمُورِ

wa a`rafahum bil-umuri

and the most learned in affairs.

[05:36.00]

كُنْتَ لِلْمُؤمِنِينَ أَباً رَحِيماً

kunta lilmu'minina aban rahiman

For the believers, you were merciful father,

[05:39.00]

إِذْ صَارُوٱ عَلَيْكَ عِيَالاً

idh saru `alayka `iyalan

and they were thus your dependants;

[05:44.00]

فَحَمَلْتَ أَثْقَالَ مَا عَنْهُ ضَعُفُوٱ

fahamalta athqala ma `anhu da`ufu

so, you carried the burdens that they were too weak to carry,

[05:47.00]

وَحَفِظْتَ مَا أَضَاعُوٱ

wa hafizta ma ada`u

preserved that which they forfeited,

[05:49.00]

وَرَعَيْتَ مَا أَهْمَلُوٱ

wa ra`ayta ma ahmalu

conserved that which they neglected,

[05:52.00]

وَشَمَّرْتَ إِذْ جَبُنُوٱ

wa shammarta idh jabunu

prepared yourself for facing that which they were too coward to face,

[05:54.00]

وَعَلَوْتَ إِذْ هَلِعُوٱ

wa `alawta idh hala`u

advanced when they were dismayed,

[05:56.00]

وَصَبَرْتَ إِذْ جَزِعُوٱ

wa sabarta idh jaza`u

and acted steadfastly when they became anxious.

[05:58.00]

كُنْتَ عَلَىٰ ٱلْكَافِرِينَ عَذَاباً صَبّاً

kunta `ala alkafirina `adhaban sabban

You were thus incessant torment on the unbelievers,

[06:02.00]

وَغِلْظَةً وَغَيْظاً

wa ghilzatan wa ghayzan

and you were also rude and furious (on them).

[06:04.00]

وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ غَيْثاً وَخِصْباً وَعِلْماً

wa lilmu'minina ghaythan wa khisban wa `ilman

You rained (with mercy) on the believers, and you were fertile and source of knowledge for them.

[06:08.00]

لَمْ تُفْلَلْ حُجَّتُكَ

lam tuflal hujjatuka

Your argument was never weak,

[06:11.00]

وَلَمْ يَزِغْ قَلْبُكَ

wa lam yazigh qalbuka

your heart never deviated,

[06:13.00]

وَلَمْ تَضْعُفْ بَصِيرَتُكَ

wa lam tad`uf basiratuka

your sagacity was never feeble,

[06:16.00]

وَلَمْ تَجْبُنْ نَفْسُكَ

wa lam tajbun nafsuka

and your determination never cowered.

[06:18.00]

كُنْتَ كَٱلْجَبَلِ لاَ تُحَرِّكُهُ ٱلْعَوَاصِفُ

kunta kaljabali la tuharrikuhu al`awasifu

You were as firm as mountain, since storms could never displace you

[06:22.00]

وَلاَ تُزِيلُهُ ٱلْقَوَاصِفُ

wa la tuziluhu alqawasifu

and misfortunes could never move you.

[06:25.00]

كُنْتَ كَمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

kunta kama qala rasulu allahi salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi

You were as exactly as described by Allah’s Messenger—peace be upon him and his Household—who said about you

[06:30.00]

قَوِيّاً فِي بَدَنِكَ

qawiyyan fi badanika

that you are strong in your body,

[06:34.00]

مُتَوَاضِعاً فِي نَفْسِكَ

mutawadi`an fi nafsika

modest in yourself,

[06:37.00]

عَظِيماً عِنْدَ ٱللَّهِ

`aziman `inda allahi

great in the view of Allah,

[06:40.00]

كَبِيراً فِي ٱلأَرْضِ

kabiran fi al-ardi

imposing in the earth,

[06:42.00]

جَلِيلاً فِي ٱلسَّمَاءِ

jalilan fi alssama'i

and lofty in the heavens.

[06:45.00]

لَمْ يَكُنْ لأَحَدٍ فِيكَ مَهْمَزٌ

lam yakun li'ahadin fika mahmazun

None could ever find fault with you,

[06:49.00]

وَلاَ لِقَائِلٍ فِيكَ مَغْمَزٌ

wa la liqa'ilin fika maghmazun

none could ever speak evil of you,

[06:52.00]

وَلاَ لِخَلْقٍ فِيكَ مَطْمَعٌ

wa la likhalqin fika matma`un

you never desired for any of the created beings,

[06:56.00]

وَلاَ لأَحَدٍ عِنْدَكَ هَوَادَةٌ

wa la li'ahadin `indaka hawadatun

and you were never lenient (unfairly) to anyone.

[07:00.00]

يُوجَدُ ٱلضَّعِيفُ ٱلذَّلِيلُ عِنْدَكَ قَوِيّاً عَزِيزاً حَتَّىٰ تَأْخُذَ لَهُ بِحَقِّهِ

yujadu aldda`ifu aldhdhalilu `indaka qawiyyan `azizan hatta ta'khudha lahu bihaqqihi

The weak, humble one was strong and mighty in your view until you give him back his right,

[07:09.00]

وَٱلْقَوِيُّ ٱلْعَزِيزُ عِنْدَكَ ضَعِيفاً حَتَّىٰ تَأْخُذَ مِنْهُ ٱلْحَقَّ

walqawiyyu al`azizu `indaka da`ifan hatta ta'khudha minhu alhaqqa

and the strong, mighty one was weak in your view until you take the others’ rights from him.

[07:16.00]

الْقَرِيبُ وَٱلْبَعِيدُ عِنْدَكَ فِي ذٰلِكَ سَوَاءٌ

alqaribu walba`idu `indaka fi dhalika sawa'un

The near and the remote were equal in your view.

[07:22.00]

شَأْنُكَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَٱلصِّدْقُ وَٱلرِّفْقُ

sha'nuka alhaqqu walssidqu walrrifqu

Your habit was to be true, honest, and kind,

[07:26.00]

وَقَوْلُكَ حُكْمٌ وَحَتْمٌ

wa qawluka hukmun wa hatmun

your words were ruling and determination,

[07:28.00]

وَأَمْرُكَ حِلْمٌ وَعَزْمٌ

wa amruka hilmun wa `azmun

your custom was forbearance and fortitude,

[07:31.00]

وَرَأْيُكَ عِلْمٌ وَحَزْمٌ

wa ra'yuka `ilmun wa hazmun

and your view was knowledge and firmness.

[07:33.00]

إِعْتَدَلَ بِكَ ٱلدِّينُ

i`tadala bika alddinu

At your hands, the religion became even,

[07:36.00]

وَسَهُلَ بِكَ ٱلْعَسِيرُ

wa sahula bika al`asiru

the difficult became easy,

[07:39.00]

وَأُطْفِئَتْ بِكَ ٱلنِّيرَانُ

wa utfi'at bika alnniranu

the fires were extinguished,

[07:42.00]

وَقَوِيَ بِكَ ٱلإِيـمَانُ

wa qawiya bika al-imanu

the faith became strong,

[07:44.00]

وَثَبَتَ بِكَ ٱلإِسْلاَمُ

wa thabata bika al-islamu

Islam became steady,

[07:47.00]

وَهَدَّتْ مُصِيبَتُكَ ٱلأَنَامَ

wa haddat musibatuka al-anama

and the calamity of losing you undermined all people.

[07:50.00]

فَإِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

fa'inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji`una

Surely, we are Allah's and to Him we shall surely return.

[07:55.00]

لَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ مَنْ قَتَلَكَ

la`ana allahu man qatalaka

Curse of Allah be upon him who slew you,

[08:00.00]

وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ مَنْ خَالَفَكَ

wa la`ana allahu man khalafaka

curse of Allah be upon him who mutinied against you,

[08:03.00]

وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ مَنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَيْكَ

wa la`ana allahu man iftara `alayka

curse of Allah be upon him who forged lies against you,

[08:06.00]

وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ مَنْ ظَلَمَكَ وَغَصَبَكَ حَقَّكَ

wa la`ana allahu man zalamaka wa ghasabaka haqqaka

curse of Allah be upon him who wronged you and usurped your right,

[08:11.00]

وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ مَنْ بَلَغَهُ ذٰلِكَ فَرَضِيَ بِهِ

wa la`ana allahu man balaghahu dhalika faradiya bihi

and curse of Allah be upon him who, when was informed about this, was pleased with it.

[08:16.00]

إِنَّا إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ مِنْهُمْ بُرَاءٌ

inna ila allahi minhum bura'un

Verily, we disavow all those before Allah.

[08:20.00]

لَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً خَالَفَتْكَ

la`ana allahu ummatan khalafatka

Curse of Allah be upon the group that disagreed with you,

[08:24.00]

وَجَحَدَتْ وِلاَيَتَكَ

wa jahadat wilayataka

denied your (Divinely commissioned) leadership,

[08:27.00]

وَتَظَاهَرَتْ عَلَيْكَ وَقَتَلَتْكَ

wa tazaharat `alayka wa qatalatka

aided each other against you, slew you,

[08:31.00]

وَحَادَتْ عَنْكَ وَخَذَلَتْكَ

wa hadat `anka wa khadhalatka

deviated from you, and disappointed you.

[08:35.00]

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ ٱلنَّارَ مَثْوَاهُمْ

alhamdu lillahi alladhi ja`ala alnnara mathwahum

All praise be to Allah, for Hellfire is the abode of those

[08:40.00]

وَبِئْسَ ٱلْوِرْدُ ٱلْمَوْرُودُ

wa bi'sa alwirdu almawrudu

and evil the place to which they are brought.

[08:43.00]

أَشْهَدُ لَكَ يَا وَلِيَّ ٱللَّهِ وَوَلِيَّ رَسُولِهِ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ بِٱلْبَلاَغِ وَٱلأَدَاءِ

ashhadu laka ya waliyya allahi wa waliyya rasulihi salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi bilbalaghi wal-ada'i

I bear witness for you, O Intimate servant of Allah and loyalist of Allah’s Messenger, peace be upon him and his Household, that you did convey and carry out (your mission).

[08:53.00]

وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ حَبِيبُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَابُهُ

wa ashhadu annaka habibu allahi wa babuhu

And I bear witness that you are the beloved of Allah and the door to Him,

[08:58.00]

وَأَنَّكَ جَنْبُ ٱللَّهِ وَوَجْهُهُ ٱلَّذِي مِنْهُ يُؤْتَىٰ

wa annaka janbu allahi wa wajhuhu alladhi minhu yu'ta

you are the Side of Allah and His Face from which one can come to Allah,

[09:03.00]

وَأَنَّكَ سَبِيلُ ٱللَّهِ

wa annaka sabilu allahi

you are Allah’s way,

[09:07.00]

وَأَنَّكَ عَبْدُ ٱللَّهِ

wa annaka `abdu allahi

you are Allah’s servant,

[09:10.00]

وَأَخُو رَسُولِهِ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

wa akhu rasulihi salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi

and you are the brother of His Messenger, peace be upon him and his Household.

[09:15.00]

أَتَيْتُكَ زَائِراً لِعَظِيمِ حَالِكَ وَمَنْزِلَتِكَ عِنْدَ ٱللَّهِ وَعِنْدَ رَسُولِهِ

ataytuka za'iran li`azimi halika wa manzilatika `inda allahi wa `inda rasulihi

I have thus come to visit you because you enjoy a magnificent position and standing with Allah and with His Messenger.

[09:27.00]

مُتَقَرِّباً إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ بِزِيَارَتِكَ

mutaqarriban ila allahi biziyaratika

So, I seek nearness to Allah through my visit to you

[09:31.00]

رَاغِباً إِلَيْكَ فِي ٱلشَّفَاعَةِ

raghiban ilayka fi alshshafa`ati

and I desire that you will intercede for me.

أَبْتَغِي بِشَفَاعَتِكَ خَلاَصَ نَفْسِي

abtaghi bishafa`atika khalasa nafsi

Through your intercession for me, I hope for redemption of myself,

[09:40.00]

مُتَعَوِّذاً بِكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

muta`awwidhan bika min alnnari

I seek refuge with you against Hellfire,

[09:45.00]

هَارِباً مِنْ ذُنُوبِيَ ٱلَّتِي ٱحْتَطَبْتُهَا عَلَىٰ ظَهْرِي

hariban min dhunubiya allati ihtatabtuha `ala zahri

I am fleeing from my sins that I have overburdened myself with them,

[09:52.00]

فَزِعاً إِلَيْكَ رَجَاءَ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّي

fazi`an ilayka raja'a rahmati rabbi

and I resort to you in the hope of my Lord’s mercy.

[10:00.00]

أَتَيْتُكَ أَسْتَشْفِعُ بِكَ يَا مَوْلاَيَ إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ

ataytuka astashfi`u bika ya mawlaya ila allahi

I have come to you, O my master, seeking your intercession for me before Allah

[10:08.00]

وَأَتَقَرَّبُ بِكَ إِلَيْهِ لِيَقْضِيَ بِكَ حَوَائِجِي

wa ataqarrabu bika ilayhi liyaqdiya bika hawa'iji

and seeking nearness to Him through you so that He may settle my needs;

[10:15.00]

فَٱشْفَعْ لِي يَا أَمِيرَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

fashfa` li ya amira almu'minina

so, (please) intercede for me, O Commander of the Faithful.

[10:22.00]

فَإِنِّي عَبْدُ ٱللَّهِ وَمَوْلاَكَ وَزَائِرُكَ

fa'inni `abdu allahi wa mawlaka wa za'iruka

Verily, I am the slave of Allah and your servant and visitor,

[10:33.00]

وَلَكَ عِنْدَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمَقَامُ ٱلْمَعْلُومُ

wa laka `inda allahi almaqamu alma`lumu

and you enjoy a distinguished position with Allah,

[10:36.00]

وَٱلْجَاهُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ

waljahu al`azimu

a great rank,

[10:40.00]

وَٱلشَّأْنُ ٱلْكَبِيرُ

walshsha'nu alkabiru

a big standing,

[10:42.00]

وَٱلشَّفَاعَةُ ٱلْمَقْبُولَةُ

walshshafa`atu almaqbulatu

and an admitted right of intercession.

[10:46.00]

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

[10:52.00]

وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِكَ وَأَمِينِكَ ٱلأَوْفَىٰ

wa salli `ala `abdika wa aminika al-awfa

and send blessings upon Your servant, Your most faithful trustee,

[10:57.00]

وَعُرْوَتِكَ ٱلْوُثْقَىٰ

wa `urwatika alwuthqa

Your firmest handle,

[11:02.00]

وَيَدِكَ ٱلْعُلْيَا

wa yadika al`ulya

Your highest Hand,

[11:05.00]

وَكَلِمَتِكَ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ

wa kalimatika alhusna

Your excellent Word,

[11:10.00]

وَحُجَّتِكَ عَلَىٰ ٱلْوَرَىٰ

wa hujjatika `ala alwara

Your argument on the people,

[11:13.00]

وَصِدِّيقِكَ ٱلأَكْبَرِ

wa siddiqika al-akbari

Your grandest veracious one,

[11:16.00]

سَيِّدِ ٱلأَوْصِيَاءِ

sayyidi al-awsiya'i

the chief of the Prophets’ successors,

[11:18.00]

وَرُكْنِ ٱلأَوْلِيَاءِ

wa rukni al-awliya'i

the reliance of the saints,

[11:20.00]

وَعِمَادِ ٱلأَصْفِيَاءِ

wa `imadi al-asfiya'i

the support of the elite ones,

[11:22.00]

أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

amiri almu'minina

the commander of the faithful,

[11:24.00]

وَيَعْسُوبِ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

wa ya`subi almuttaqina

the leader of the pious ones,

[11:27.00]

وَقُدْوَةِ ٱلصِّدِّيقِينَ

wa qudwati alssiddiqina

the example of the veracious ones,

[11:29.00]

وَإِمَامِ ٱلصَّالِحِينَ

wa imami alssalihina

the pattern of the righteous ones,

[11:32.00]

ٱلْمَعْصُومِ مِنَ ٱلزَّلَلِ

alma`sumi min alzzalali

the one protected against flaws,

[11:35.00]

وَٱلْمَفْطُومِ مِنَ ٱلْخَلَلِ

walmaftumi min alkhalali

the one saved from defects,

[11:38.00]

وَٱلْمُهَذَّبِ مِنَ ٱلْعَيْبِ

walmuhadhdhabi min al`aybi

the one cleared from faults,

[11:40.00]

وَٱلْمُطَهَّرِ مِنَ ٱلرَّيْبِ

walmutahhari min alrraybi

the one purified from doubts,

[11:43.00]

أَخِي نَبِيِّكَ

akhi nabiyyika

the brother of Your Prophet,

[11:45.00]

وَوَصِيِّ رَسُولِكَ

wa wasiyyi rasulika

the successor of Your Messenger,

[11:47.00]

وَٱلْبَائِتِ عَلَىٰ فِرَاشِهِ

walba'iti `ala firashihi

the one who replaced him when he spent that night instead of him,

[11:49.00]

وَٱلْمُوَاسِي لَهُ بِنَفْسِهِ

walmuwasi lahu binafsihi

the one who sacrificed his soul for him,

[11:52.00]

وَكَاشِفِ ٱلْكَرْبِ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ

wa kashifi alkarbi `an wajhihi

the one who always relieved him in harsh situations,

[11:57.00]

ٱلَّذِي جَعَلْتَهُ سَيْفاً لِنُبُوَّتِهِ

alladhi ja`altahu sayfan linubuwwatihi

and the one whom You chose to be the sword of his (i.e. the Prophet) Prophethood,

[12:01.00]

وَمُعْجِزاً لِرِسَالَتِهِ

wa mu`jizan lirisalatihi

the miracle of his (Divine) mission,

[12:04.00]

وَدَلاَلَةً وَاضِحَةً لِحُجَّتِهِ

wa dalalatan wadihatan lihujjatihi

the lucid indication of his arguments,

[12:08.00]

وَحَامِلاً لِرَايَتِهِ

wa hamilan lirayatihi

the bearer of his pennon,

[12:10.00]

وَوِقَايَةً لِمُهْجَتِهِ

wa wiqayatan limuhjatihi

the protector of his soul,

[12:13.00]

وَهَادِياً لأُمَّتِهِ

wa hadiyan li'ummatihi

the guide of his nation,

[12:15.00]

وَيَداً لِبَأْسِهِ

wa yadan liba'sihi

the power of his might,

[12:18.00]

وَتَاجاً لِرَأْسِهِ

wa tajan lira'sihi

the crown of his head,

[12:20.00]

وَبَاباً لِنَصْرِهِ

wa baban linasrihi

the door to his victory,

[12:22.00]

وَمِفْتَاحاً لِظَفَرِهِ

wa miftahan lizafarihi

and the key to his triumph,

[12:25.00]

حَتَّىٰ هَزَمَ جُنُودَ ٱلشِّرْكِ بِأَيْدِكَ

hatta hazama junuda alshshirki bi'aydika

until he defeated the armies of polytheism by Your aid,

[12:29.00]

وَأَبَادَ عَسَاكِرَ ٱلْكُفْرِ بِأَمْرِكَ

wa abada `asakira alkufri bi'amrika

terminated the warriors of atheism by Your permission,

[12:34.00]

وَبَذَلَ نَفْسَهُ فِي مَرْضَاتِكَ وَمَرْضَاةِ رَسُولِكَ

wa badhala nafsahu fi mardatika wa mardati rasulika

exerted all efforts to win the pleasure of You and Your Messenger,

[12:40.00]

وَجَعَلَهَا وَقْفاً عَلَىٰ طَاعَتِهِ

wa ja`alaha waqfan `ala ta`atihi

devoted all of his efforts to the obedience to him,

[12:43.00]

وَمَجِنّاً دُونَ نَكْبَتِهِ

wa majinnan duna nakbatihi

and made of himself armor to protect him from any misfortune,

[12:47.00]

حَتَّىٰ فَاضَتْ نَفْسُهُ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ فِي كَفِّهِ

hatta fadat nafsuhu salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi fi kaffihi

until the soul of the Prophet, peace be upon him and his Household, departed his body while his face was in the hand of `Ali,

[12:55.00]

وَٱسْتَلَبَ بَرْدَهَا

wastalaba bardaha

who thus felt its coldness,

[12:57.00]

وَمَسَحَهُ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهِ

wa masahahu `ala wajhihi

and rubbed his face therewith.

[13:01.00]

وَأَعَانَتْهُ مَلائِكَتُكَ عَلَىٰ غُسْلِهِ وَتَجْهِيزِهِ

wa a`anat-hu mala'ikatuka `ala ghuslihi wa tajhizihi

And Your angels helped him bathe and prepare his body for burial.

[13:07.00]

وَصَلَّىٰ عَلَيْهِ وَوَارَىٰ شَخْصَهُ

wa salla `alayhi wa wara shakhsahu

He then performed [the ritual] prayer for him, buried his body,

[13:12.00]

وَقَضَىٰ دَيْنَهُ

wa qada daynahu

settled his debts,

[13:13.00]

وَأَنْجَزَ وَعْدَهُ

wa anjaza wa`dahu

fulfilled his promises,

[13:15.00]

وَلَزِمَ عَهْدَهُ

wa lazima `ahdahu

made his covenants,

[13:17.00]

وَٱحْتَذَىٰ مِثَالَهُ

wahtadha mithalahu

followed his example,

[13:20.00]

وَحَفِظَ وَصِيَّتَهُ

wa hafiza wasiyyatahu

and abode by his will.

[13:22.00]

وَحِينَ وَجَدَ أَنْصَاراً نَهَضَ مُسْتَقِلاًّ بِأَعْبَاءِ ٱلْخِلاَفَةِ

wa hina wajada ansaran nahada mustaqillan bi'a`ba'i alkhilafati

When he could find supporters, he undertook the burdens of the position of leadership (caliphate)

[13:29.00]

مُضْطَلِعاً بِأَثْقَالِ ٱلإِمَامَةِ

mudtali`an bi'athqali al-imamati

and assumed the loads of Imamate.

[13:32.00]

فَنَصَبَ رَايَةَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ فِي عِبَادِكَ

fanasaba rayata alhuda fi `ibadika

He thus hoisted the flag of true guidance among Your servants,

[13:36.00]

وَنَشَرَ ثَوْبَ ٱلأَمْنِ فِي بِلاَدِكَ

wa nashara thawba al-amni fi biladika

spread the dress of security in Your lands,

[13:40.00]

وَبَسَطَ ٱلْعَدْلَ فِي بَرِيَّتِكَ

wa basata al`adla fi bariyyatika

extended justice among Your creatures,

[13:43.00]

وَحَكَمَ بِكِتَابِكَ فِي خَلِيقَتِكَ

wa hakama bikitabika fi khaliqatika

judged according to Your Book among your beings,

[13:46.00]

وَأَقَامَ الْحُدُودَ

wa aqama alhududa

executed the laws,

[13:49.00]

وَقَمَعَ ٱلْجُحُودَ

wa qama`a aljuhuda

suppressed unbelief,

[13:52.00]

وَقَوَّمَ ٱلزَّيْغَ

wa qawwama alzzaygha

rectified the deviation,

[13:54.00]

وَسَكَّنَ ٱلْغَمْرَةَ

wa sakkana alghamrata

mollified the criticism,

[13:56.00]

وَأَبَادَ ٱلْفَتْرَةَ

wa abada alfatrata

eradicated lethargy,

[13:58.00]

وَسَدَّ ٱلْفُرْجَةَ

wa sadda alfurjata

blocked the gap,

[14:00.00]

وَقَتَلَ ٱلنَّاكِثَةَ وَٱلْقَاسِطَةَ وَٱلْمَارِقَةَ

wa qatala alnnakithata walqasitata walmariqata

killed the preachers, the wrongdoers, and the apostates,

[14:05.00]

وَلَمْ يَزَلْ عَلَىٰ مِنْهَاجِ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَوَتِيرَتِهِ

wa lam yazal `ala minhaji rasuli allahi salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi wa watiratihi

kept on following the course and tradition of Allah’s Messenger, peace be upon him and his Household,

[14:13.00]

وَلُطْفِ شَاكِلَتِهِ

wa lutfi shakilatihi

kept on following his excellent pattern,

[14:15.00]

وَجَمَالِ سِيرَتِهِ

wa jamali siratihi

kept on following his superb practice,

[14:18.00]

مُقْتَدِياً بِسُنَّتِهِ

muqtadiyan bisunnatihi

he imitated his convention,

[14:22.00]

مُتَعَلِّقاً بِهِمَّتِهِ

muta`alliqan bihimmatihi

held fast to his morale,

[14:24.00]

مُبَاشِراً لِطَرِيقَتِهِ

mubashiran litariqatihi

and copied his way (of treating with matters).

[14:26.00]

وَأَمْثِلَتُهُ نَصْبُ عَيْنَيْهِ

wa amthilatuhu nasbu `aynayhi

And he always noticed the Prophet’s deeds as if they were before his eyes;

[14:31.00]

يَحْمِلُ عِبَادَكَ عَلَيْهَا

yahmilu `ibadaka `alayha

he thus ordered Your servants to copy these deeds

[14:35.00]

وَيَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَيْهَا

wa yad`uhum ilayha

and invited them to imitate them

[14:37.00]

إِلَىٰ أَنْ خُضِبَتْ شَيْبَتُهُ مِنْ دَمِ رَأْسِهِ

ila an khudibat shaybatuhu min dami ra'sihi

until his white beard was dyed with the blood of his head.

[14:44.00]

اَللَّهُمَّ فَكَمَا لَمْ يُؤْثِرْ فِي طَاعَتِكَ شَكّاً عَلَىٰ يَقِينٍ

allahumma fakama lam yu'thir fi ta`atika shakkan `ala yaqinin

O Allah, as he never preferred a dubious matter to a certain one for the sake of obeying You

[14:53.00]

وَلَمْ يُشْرِكْ بِكَ طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ

wa lam yushrik bika tarfata `aynin

and never associated any one with You even for a winking of an eye,

[14:56.00]

صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ صَلاَةً زَاكِيَةً نَامِيَةً

salli `alayhi salatan zakiyatan namiyatan

please send upon him growing and increasing blessings

[15:03.00]

يَلْحَقُ بِهَا دَرَجَةَ ٱلنُّبُوَّةِ فِي جَنَّتِكَ

yalhaqu biha darajata alnnubuwwati fi jannatika

due to which he may join the position of Prophethood in Your Paradise,

[15:08.00]

وَبَلِّغْهُ مِنَّا تَحِيَّةً وَسَلاَماً

wa ballighhu minna tahiyyatan wa salaman

and (please) convey our greetings and compliments to him

[15:12.00]

وَآتِنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ فِي مُوَالاَتِهِ فَضْلاً وَإِحْسَاناً

wa atina min ladunka fi muwalatihi fadlan wa ihsanan

and, on account of our allegiance to his leadership, please grant us from You favor, kindness,

[15:18.00]

وَمَغْفِرَةً وَرِضْوَاناً

wa maghfiratan wa ridwanan

forgiveness, and pleasure.

[15:22.00]

إِنَّكَ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْجَسِيمِ

innaka dhulfadli aljasimi

You are verily the Lord of enormous favor.

[15:29.00]

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

birahmatika ya arhama alrrahimina

[please do that] in the name of Your mercy, O most merciful of all those who show mercy.

[00:02.00]

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَداً

alhamdu lillahi alladhi lam yattakhidh waladan

All praise be to Allah Who has not taken to Himself a son,

[00:11.00]

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي ٱلْمُلْكِ

wa lam yakun lahu sharikun fi almulki

Who has no partner in the Sovereignty

[00:18.00]

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ ٱلذُّلِّ

wa lam yakun lahu waliyyun min aldhdhulli

nor has He any protecting friend through dependence.

[00:24.00]

وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيراً

wa kabbirhu takbiran

And magnify Him with all magnificence.

[00:28.00]

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَعَاقِدِ عِزِّكَ

allahumma inni as'aluka bima`aqidi `izzika

O Allah, verily I beseech You in the name of the situations of Your Dignity

[00:37.00]

عَلَىٰ أَرْكَانِ عَرْشِكَ

`ala arkani `arshika

on the pillars of Your Throne,

[00:42.00]

وَمُنْتَهَىٰ ٱلرَّحْمَةِ مِنْ كِتَابِكَ

wa muntaha alrrahmati min kitabika

in the name of Your utmost mercy in Your Book,

[00:48.00]

وَبِٱسْمِكَ ٱلأَعْظَمِ ٱلأَعْظَمِ ٱلأَعْظَمِ

wa bismika al-a`zami al-a`zami al-a`zami

in the name of Your Name—the Greatest, the Greatest, the Greatest,

[00:57.00]

وَذِكْرِكَ ٱلأَعْلَىٰ ٱلأَعْلَىٰ ٱلأَعْلَىٰ

wa dhikrika al-a`la al-a`la al-a`la

in the name of Your Mention—the Highest, the Highest, the Highest,

[01:08.00]

وَبِكَلِمَاتِكَ ٱلتَّامَّاتِ

wa bikalimatika alttammati

and in the name of Your Words the perfect,

[01:15.00]

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ

an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa alihi

to bless Muhammad and his Household

[01:22.00]

وَأَنْ تَفْعَلَ بِي مَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ

wa an taf`ala bi ma anta ahluhu

and do to me that which befits You.

[01:52.00]

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammad

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

[02:02.00]

يَا مَنْ أَمَرَ بِالْعَفْوِ وَالتَّجَاوُزِ،

ya man amara bil`afui wal-ttjauuzi

O He Who has ordered us to forgive and overlook

[02:10.00]

وَضَمَّنَ نَفْسَهُ الْعَفْوَ وَالتَّجَاوُزَ،

wa dammana nafsahu al`afwa wal-ttjauuza

and has taken upon Himself to forgive and overlook!

[02:17.00]

يَا مَنْ عَفَا وَتَجَاوَزَ

ya man `afa wa tajawaza

O He Who did forgive and overlook:

[02:24.00]

اعْفُ عَنِّي وَتَجَاوَزْ يَا كَرِيمُ.

i`fu `anni wa tajawaz ya karimu

(please do) forgive me and overlook (my evildoings) O the All-generous.

[02:32.00]

اللّهُمَّ وَقَدْ أَكْدَى الطَّلَبُ،

allahumma wa qad akda alttalabu

O Allah: surely, all requests have been rejected,

[02:38.00]

وَأَعْيَتِ الْحِيلَةُ وَالْمَذْهَبُ،

wa a`iyati alhilatu wal-madhhabu

and all means and ways have been inaccessible,

[02:44.00]

وَدَرَسَتِ الآمَالُ،

wa darasati alamalu

and all hopes have been eradicated,

[02:49.00]

وَانْقَطَعَ الرَّجَاءُ إلاَّ مِنْكَ

wanqata`a alrraja‘u illa minka

and all expectations have been cut off from everybody save You

[02:55.00]

وَحْدَكَ لا شَرِيكَ لَكَ.

wahdaka la sharika laka

alone, there is no partner with You.

[03:01.00]

اللّهُمَّ إنِّي أَجِدُ سُبُلَ الْمَطَالِبِ إلَيْكَ مُشْرَعَةً،

allahumma inni ajidu subula almatalibi ilayka mushra`atan

O Allah: I find the ways to requesting from You wide open,

[03:12.00]

وَمَنَاهِلَ الرَّجَاءِ لَدَيْكَ مُتْرَعَةً،

wa manahila alrraja‘i ladayka mutra`atan

and springs of hoping for You quenching,

[03:20.00]

وَأَبْوَابَ الدُّعَاءِ لِمَنْ دَعَاكَ مُفَتَّحَةً،

wa abwaba aldd`a‘i liman da`aka mufatthatan

and doors of supplication unlocked for him who implores You,

[03:29.00]

وَالاسْتِعَانَةَ لِمَنِ اسْتَعَانَ بِكَ مُبَاحَةً،

wal-asti`anata limani asta`ana bika mubahatan

and Your aid available for those who seek it.

[03:37.00]

وَأَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ لِدَاعِيكَ بِمَوْضِعِ إجَابَةٍ،

wa a`lamu annka lida`ika bimawdi`i ijabatin

I also know that You are in the position of response for him who beseeches You,

[03:48.00]

وَلِلصَّارِخِ إلَيْكَ بِمَرْصَدِ إغَاثَةٍ،

wa lilssarikhi ilayka bimarsadi ighathatin

and in the position of relief for him who resorts to You,

[03:58.00]

وَأَنَّ فِي اللَّهْفِ إلَى جُودِكَ وَالضَّمَانِ بِعِدَتِكَ

wa ann fi allahfi ila judika wal-zamani bi`idatika

and that hastening to Your magnanimity and the reliance upon Your promise

[04:11.00]

عِوَضاً مِنْ مَنْعِ الْبَاخِلِينَ

`iwadan min man`i albakhilina

compensate from the stinginess of the misery ones

[04:21.00]

وَمَنْدُوحَةً عَمَّا فِي أَيْدِي الْمُسْتَأْثِرِينَ،

wa manduhatan `amma fi aydy almustathirina

and suffice from that which is grasped by the mean ones.

[04:33.00]

وَأَنَّكَ لا تَحْتَجِبُ عَنْ خَلْقِكَ

wa annka la tahtajibu `an khalqika

And [I know for sure] that You never screen Yourself against Your beings

[04:40.00]

إلاَّ أَنْ تَحْجُبَهُمُ الأَعْمَالُ دُونَكَ،

illa an tahjubahumu ala`malu dunaka

but it is their evildoings that prevent them from journeying toward You.

[04:49.00]

وَقَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ أَفْضَلَ زَادِ الرَّاحِلِ إلَيْكَ عَزْمُ إرَادَةٍ يَخْتَارُكَ بِهَا

wa qad `alimtu ann afdala zadi alrrahili ilayka `azmu iradatin

I have also known for sure that the best provisions of his who intends to travel to You is a true willpower by which He chooses You among others.

[05:00.00]

وَقَدْ نَاجَاكَ بِعَزْمِ الإرَادَةِ قَلْبِي،

yakhtaruka biha wa qad najaka bi`azmi aliradati qalbi

Hence, my heart has called at You with full willpower;

[05:13.00]

وَأَسْأَلُك بِكُلِّ دَعْوَةٍ دَعَاكَ بِهَا رَاجٍ بَلَّغْتَهُ أَمَلَهُ،

wa as-aluka bikull da`watin da`aka biha rajin ballghtahu amalahu

and I pray You in the name of all supplications said by a hopeful and thus You have achieved his hope,

[05:29.00]

أَوْ صَارِخٌ إلَيْكَ أَغَثْتَ صَرْخَتَهُ،

aw sarikhun ilayka aghathta sarkhatahu

or said by a seeker of aid and thus You have admitted his request,

[05:36.00]

أَوْ مَلْهُوفٌ مَكْرُوبٌ فَرَّجْتَ كَرْبَهُ،

aw malhufun makrubun farrjta karbahu

or said by an aggrieved, depressed one and thus You have relieved him,

[05:46.00]

أَوْ مُذْنِبٌ خَاطِئٌ غَفَرْتَ لَهُ،

aw mudhnibun khatiiun ghafarta lahu

or said by a guilty sinner and thus You have forgiven him,

[05:55.00]

أَوْ مُعَافَىً أَتْمَمْتَ نِعْمَتَكَ عَلَيْهِ،

aw mu`afan atmamta ni`mataka `alayhi

or said by a healthy one and thus You have perfected Your favors on him,

[06:03.00]

أَوْ فَقِيرٌ أَهْدَيْتَ غِنَاكَ إلَيْهِ،

aw faqirun ahdayta ghinaka ilayhi

or said by a poor one and thus You have conferred upon him with Your wealth,

[06:12.00]

وَلِتِلْكَ الدَّعْوَةِ عَلَيْكَ حَقٌّ وَعِنْدَكَ مَنْزِلَةٌ

wa litilka aldd`wati `alayka haqq wa `indaka manzilatun

and that these supplications occupy a considerable position with You and enjoy a standing with You—

[06:29.00]

إلاَّ صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

illa sallayta `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

I pray You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

[06:36.00]

وَقَضَيْتَ حَوَائِجِي حَوَائِجَ الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ،

wa qadayta hawa’ijy hawa’ija alddunya wal-akhirati

and to settle all my needs for this world and the Next World.

[06:48.00]

وَهذَا رَجَبٌ الْمُرَجَّبُ الْمُكَرَّمُ

wa hadha rajabun almurajjabu almukarramu

This is Rajab, the honored and dignified month,

[06:55.00]

الَّذِي أَكْرَمْتَنَا بِهِ أَوَّلُ أَشْهُرِ الْحُرُمِ

alladhy akramtana bihi awulu ash-huri alhurumi

which You have honored us through it, being the first of the Sacred Months,

[07:04.00]

أَكْرَمْتَنَا بِهِ مِنْ بَيْنِ الأُمَمِ،

akramtana bihi min bayni ala’umami

and You have selected us for this honor among the other nations.

[07:10.00]

يَا ذَا الْجُودِ وَالْكَرَمِ

ya dhaljudi wal-karami

O the Lord of Magnanimity and Generosity.

[07:17.00]

فَنَسْأَلُكَ بِهِ وَبِاسْمِكَ الأَعْظَمِ الأَعْظَمِ الأَعْظَمِ،

fanasaluka bihi wa bismika ala`zami ala`zami ala`zami

I thus beseech You by Your Name, the grandest, the grandest, the grandest,

[07:30.00]

الأَجَلِّ الأَكْرَمِ

al-ajalli alakrami

the most majestic, the most honorable,

[07:35.00]

الَّذِي خَلَقْتَهُ فَاسْتَقَرَّ فِي ظِلِّكَ

alladhy khalaqtahu fastaqarr fi zillka

that You have created so that it has settled under Your Shadow

[07:40.00]

فَلا يَخْرُجُ مِنْكَ إلَى غَيْرِكَ

fala yakhruju minka ila ghayrika

and it thus shall never transfer to anyone other than You—

[07:45.00]

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ

an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ahli baytihi alttahirina

I beseech You to send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household, the immaculate,

[07:54.00]

وَتَجْعَلَنَا مِنَ الْعَامِلِينَ فِيهِ بِطَاعَتِكَ،

wa taj`alana mina al`amilina fihi bita`atika

and to include us, during this month, with those who practice acts of obedience to You

[08:00.00]

وَالآمِلِينَ فِيهِ بِشَفَاعَتِكَ،

wal-amilina fihi bishafa`atika

and those who hope for Your admission.

[08:06.00]

اللّهُمَّ وَاهْدِنَا إلَى سَوَاءِ السَّبِيلِ،

allahumma wahdina ila sawa‘i alssabili

O Allah: (please do) lead us to the Right Path,

[08:14.00]

وَاجْعَلْ مَقِيلَنَا عِنْدَكَ خَيْرَ مَقِيلٍ فِي ظِلٍّ ظَلِيلٍ،

waj`al maqilana `indaka khayra maqilin fi zill zalilin

and choose for us the best resting-place with You, under a dense shade

[08:28.00]

فَإنَّكَ حَسْبُنَا وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ،

fa’innaka hasbuna wa ni`ma alwakilu

and abundant possession. Surely, You are Sufficient for us! Most Excellent are You, and in You do we trust!

[08:35.00]

وَالسَّلامُ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ الْمُصْطَفَيْنَ

wa alssalamu `ala `ibadihi almustafayna

Peace be upon His servants, the chosen,

[08:41.00]

وَصَلَوَاتُهُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ.

wa salawatuhu `alayhim ajma`ina

and His blessings be upon them all.

[08:47.00]

اللّهُمَّ وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِي يَوْمِنَا هذَا الَّذِي فَضَّلْتَهُ،

allahumma wa barik lana fi yawmina hadha alladhy fazaltahu

O Allah: (please do) bless us on this day that You have honored,

[08:57.00]

وَبِكَرَامَتِكَ جَلَّلْتَهُ،

wa bikaramatika jalltahu

and covered with Your nobility,

[09:02.00]

وَبِالْمَنْزِلِ الْعَظِيمِ الأَعْلَى أَنْزَلْتَهُ،

wa bilmanzili al`azimi ala`la anzaltahu

and implanted in the great and highest Dwelling.

[09:08.00]

صَلِّ عَلَى مَنْ فِيهِ إلَى عِبَادِكَ أَرْسَلْتَهُ،

salli `ala man fihi ila `ibadika arsaltahu

(Please do) send blessings upon him whom You sent (as Your Messenger) to Your servants

[09:15.00]

وَبِالْمَحَلِّ الْكَرِيمِ أَحْلَلْتَهُ.

wa bilmahall alkarimi ahlaltahu

and whom You accommodated in the Noble Place.

[09:21.00]

اللّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ صَلاةً دَائِمَةً تَكُونُ لَكَ شُكْراً،

allahumma salli `alayhi salatan da’imatan takunu laka shukran

O Allah: send upon him blessing that is never-ending being in the form of thanks to You

[09:34.00]

وَلَنَا ذُخْراً،

wa lana dhukhran

and reward to us.

[09:39.00]

وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا يُسْراً،

waj`al lana min amrina yusran

And make easy for us all our affairs;

[09:42.00]

وَاخْتِمْ لَنَا بِالسَّعَادَةِ إلَى مُنْتَهَى آجَالِنَا،

wakhtim lana bilss`adati ila muntaha ajalina

and make our end result up to the last of our lives pleasant

[09:51.00]

وَقَدْ قَبِلْتَ الْيَسِيرَ مِنْ أَعْمَالِنَا،

wa qad qabilta aliyasira min a`malina

after You accept our little deed

[09:57.00]

وَبَلَّغْتَنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَفْضَلَ آمَالِنَا،

wa ballghtana birahmatika afdala amalina

and achieve for us all our hopes out of Your mercy.

[10:04.00]

إنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ،

innaka `ala kull shay‘in qadirun

Verily, You have power over all things.

[10:10.00]

وَصَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ.

wa salla allahu `ala muhammadin wa alihi wa sallama

May Allah bless and exalt Muhammad and his Household.

[00:17.00]

اَللَّهُمَّ إنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِٱلْمَوْلُودَيْنِ فِي رَجَبٍ

allahumma inni as'aluka bilmawludayni fi rajabin

O Allah, I beseech You in the name of those who were born in Rajab,

[00:26.00]

مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ٱلثَّانِي

muhammadi bni `aliyyin alththani

Muhammad ibn `Ali the second

[00:31.00]

وَٱبْنِهِ عَلِيٍّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ٱلْمُنْتَجَبِ

wabnihi `aliyyi bni muhammadin almuntajabi

and his son `Ali ibn Muhammad the divinely selected;

[00:37.00]

وَأَتَقَرَّبُ بِهِمَا إِلَيْكَ خَيْرَ ٱلْقُرَبِ

wa ataqarrabu bihima ilayka khayra alqurabi

I seek nearness to You through both of them for they are the best means of nearness to You.

[00:43.00]

يَا مَنْ إِلَيْهِ ٱلْمَعْرُوفُ طُلِبَ

ya man ilayhi alma`rufu tuliba

O He from Whom favors are sought

[00:48.00]

وَفِيمَا لَدَيْهِ رُغِبَ

wa fima ladayhi rughiba

and what He possesses is desired!

[00:52.00]

أَسْأَلُكَ سُؤَالَ مُقْتَرِفٍ مُذْنِبٍ

as'aluka su'ala muqtarifin mudhnibin

I beseech You with the entreaty of him

[00:58.00]

قَدْ أَوْبَقَتْهُ ذُنُوبُهُ

qad awbaqat-hu dhunubuhu

whom is enchained by his sins

[01:04.00]

وَأَوْثَقَتْهُ عُيُوبُهُ

wa awthaqat-hu `uyubuhu

and is bound by his defects;

[01:08.00]

فَطَالَ عَلَىٰ ٱلْخَطَايَا دُؤُوبُهُ

fatala `ala alkhataya du'ubuhu

therefore, he devoted himself to offenses,

[01:016.00]

وَمِنَ ٱلرَّزَايَا خُطُوبُهُ

wa mina alrrazaya khutubuhu

and disasters have attacked him heavily.

[01:22.00]

يَسْأَلُكَ ٱلتَّوْبَةَ

yas'aluka alttawbata

He is now begging You for accepting his repentance,

[01:24.00]

وَحُسْنَ ٱلأَوْبَةِ

wa husna al-awbati

good return from You,

[01:27.00]

وَٱلنُّزُوعَ عَنِ ٱلْحَوْبَةِ

walnnuzu`a `an alhawbati

redeeming from punishment,

[01:33.00]

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّارِ فَكَاكَ رَقَبَتِهِ

wa min alnnari fakaka raqabatihi

releasing from Hellfire,

[01:39.00]

وَٱلْعَفْوَ عَمَّا فِي رِبْقَتِهِ

wal`afwa `amma fi ribqatihi

and overlooking the sins that are hanged to him.

[01:45.00]

فَأَنْتَ مَوْلاَيَ أَعْظَمُ أَمَلِهِ وَثِقَتِهِ

fa-anta mawlaya a`zamu amalihi wa thiqatihi

Certainly, You, O my Master, the greatest of all hopes and desires he has.

[01:51.00]

اَللَّهُمَّ وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِمَسَائِلِكَ ٱلشَّرِيفَةِ

allahumma wa as'aluka bimasa'ilika alshsharifati

O Allah, I beg You in the name of the holy means that You admit

[02:00.00]

وَوَسَائِلِكَ ٱلْمُنِيفَةِ

wa wasa'ilika almunifati

and all of the elevated courses that take to You

[02:05.00]

أَنْ تَتَغَمَّدَنِي فِي هٰذَا ٱلشَّهْرِ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنْكَ وَاسِعَةٍ

an tataghammadani fi hadha alshshahri birahmatin minka wasi`atin

to encompass me, in this month, with vast mercy of You,

[02:16.00]

وَنِعْمَةٍ وَازِعَةٍ

wa ni`matin wazi`atin

abundant favors,

[02:21.00]

وَنَفْسٍ بِمَا رَزَقْتَهَا قَانِعَةٍ

wa nafsin bima razaqtaha qani`atin

and satisfaction with what You have decided for me

[02:29.00]

إِلَىٰ نُزُولِ ٱلْحَافِرَةِ

ila nuzuli alhafirati

until I am put in my final hole,

[02:33.00]

وَمَحَلِّ ٱلآخِرَةِ

wa mahalli al-akhirati

which is my abode to the Hereafter

[02:38.00]

وَمَا هِيَ إِلَيْهِ صَائِرَةٌ

wa ma hiya ilayhi sa'iratun

and the Final Fate.

[00:00.00]

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

bismi allahi alrrahmani alrrahimi

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

[00:06.00]

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammad

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

[00:15.00]

اَللَّهُمَّ إنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَعَانِي جَمِيعِ مَا يَدْعُوكَ بِهِ وُلاةُ أَمْرِكَ

allahumma inni as'aluka bima`ani jami`i ma yad`uka bihi wulatu amrika

O Allah, I beseech You by the meanings of all the supplications of those whom You have invested with Your authority,

[00:29.00]

ٱلْمَأْمُونُونَ عَلَىٰ سِرِّكَ

alma'mununa `ala sirrika

the trustees of Your secret,

[00:34.00]

ٱلْمُسْتَبْشِرُونَ بأَمْرِكَ

almustabshiruna bi'amrika

theose who rejoice in Your command,

[00:40.00]

ٱلْوَاصِفُونَ لِقُدْرَتِكَ

alwasifuna liqudratika

the describers of Your power,

[00:44.00]

ٱلْمُعْلِنُونَ لِعَظَمَتِكَ

almu`linuna li`azamatika

the proclaimers of Your supremacy.

[00:48.00]

أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا نَطَقَ فِيهِمْ مِنْ مَشِيئَتِكَ

as'aluka bima nataqa fihim min mashi'atika

I implore You by Your will that has manifested itself through them

[00:56.00]

فَجَعَلْتَهُمْ مَعَادِنَ لِكَلِمَاتِكَ

faja`altahum ma`adina likalimatika

and thus You have made them the essences of Your Words,

[01:03.00]

وَأَرْكَاناً لِتَوْحِيدِكَ

wa arkanan litawhidika

the pillars of Your Oneness,

[01:08.00]

وَآيَاتِكَ وَمَقَامَاتِكَ الَّتِي لا تَعْطِيلَ لَهَا فِي كُلِّ مَكَانٍ

wa ayatika wa maqamatika allati la ta`tila laha

Your Signs and Stations, which are never inoperative in any place.

[01:18.00]

يَعْرِفُكَ بِهَا مَنْ عَرَفَكَ

fi kulli makanin ya`rifuka biha man `arafaka

Through them, You are known to those who know You.

[01:26.00]

لا فَرْقَ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهَا إِلاَّ أَنَّهُمْ عِبَادُكَ وَخَلْقُكَ

la farqa baynaka wa baynaha illa annahum `ibaduka wa khalquka

-there being no difference between You and them except that they are Your servants and creation.

[01:37.00]

فَتْقُهَا وَرَتْقُهَا بِيَدِكَ

fatquha wa ratquha biyadika

their unstitching and mending is in Your hand

[01:43.00]

بَدْؤُهَا مِنْكَ وَعَوْدُهَا إلَيْكَ

bad'uha minka wa `awduha ilayka

they enamate from You and return to You.

[01:56.00]

أَعْضَادٌ وَأَشْهَادٌ

a`dadun wa ashhadun

They are the instruments, witnesses,

[01:57.00]

وَمُنَاةٌ وَأَذْوَادٌ

wa munatun wa adhwadun

planners, defenders

[02:01.00]

وَحَفَظَةٌ وَرُوَّادٌ

wa hafazatun wa ruwwadun

guards and scouts

[02:07.00]

فَبِهِمْ مَلَأْتَ سَمَاءَكَ وَأَرْضَكَ

fabihim mala'ta sama'aka wa ardaka

by whose means You have filled Your heavens and earth

[02:13.00]

حَتَّىٰ ظَهَرَ أَنْ لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

hatta zahara an la ilaha illa anta

until it became manifest that there is no god save You.

[02:20.00]

فَبِذٰلِكَ أَسْأَلُكَ

fabidhalika as'aluka

I thus implore You in the name of all this,

[02:24.00]

وَبِمَوَاقِعِ ٱلْعِزِّ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ

wa bimawaqi`i al`izzi min rahmatika

and by the recipients of honor and might by your mercy,

[02:29.00]

وَبِمَقَامَاتِكَ وَعَلامَاتِكَ

wa bimaqamatika wa `alamatika

and by Your stations and Signs,

[02:37.00]

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ

an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa alihi

to send blessings to Muhammad and his Household

[02:44.00]

وَأَنْ تَزِيدَنِي إِيـمَاناً وَتَثْبِيتاً

wa an tazidani imanan wa tathbitan

and increase me in faith and fortitude.

[02:51.00]

يَا بَاطِناً فِي ظُهُورِهِ

ya batinan fi zuhurihi

O He Who is Immanent in His Evidence!

[02:57.00]

وَظَاهِراً فِي بُطُونِهِ وَمَكْنُونِهِ

wa zahiran fi butunihi wa maknunihi

O He Who is Evident in His Immanence and in His hiddenness!

[03:04.00]

يَا مُفَرِّقاً بَيْنَ ٱلنُّورِ وَٱلدَّيجُورِ

ya mufarriqan bayna alnnuri walddayjuri

O He Who sets apart light from murk!

[03:13.00]

يَا مَوْصُوفاً بِغَيْرِ كُنْهٍ

ya mawsufan bighayri kunhin

O He Whom is described without recognition of his real essence!

[03:18.00]

وَمَعْرُوفاً بِغَيْرِ شِبْهٍ

wa ma`rufan bighayri shibhin

and He Whom is recognized without having anything like Him!

[03:23.00]

حَادَّ كُلِّ مَحْدُودٍ

hadda kulli mahdudin

O Edger of all edged things!

[03:30.00]

وَشَاهِدَ كُلِّ مَشْهُودٍ

wa shahida kulli mashhudin

O Witness of all done things!

[03:36.00]

وَمُوجِدَ كُلِّ مَوْجُودٍ

wa mujida kulli mawjudin

O Bringer into being all existent things!

[03:40.00]

وَمُحْصِيَ كُلِّ مَعْدُودٍ

wa muhsiya kulli ma`dudin

O Knower of the number of all countable things!

[03:45.00]

وَفَاقِدَ كُلِّ مَفْقُودٍ

wa faqida kulli mafqudin

O Knower of the place of all lost things!

[03:48.00]

لَيْسَ دُونَكَ مِنْ مَعْبُودٍ

laysa dunaka min ma`budin

None is worshipped except You.

[03:54.00]

أَهْلَ ٱلْكِبْرِيَاءِ وَٱلْجُودِ

ahla alkibriya‘i waljudi

You are the worthiest of all pride and magnanimity.

[04:00.00]

يَا مَنْ لا يُكَيَّفُ بِكَيْفٍ

ya man la yukayyafu bikayfin

O He about Whom, it is infeasible to as ‘how’

[04:07.00]

وَلاَ يُؤَيَّنُ بِأَيْنٍ

wa la yu'ayyanu bi-aynin

and it is infeasible to ask ‘where’!

[04:10.00]

يَا مُحْتَجِباً عَنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ

ya muhtajiban `an kulli `aynin

O He Who is concealed from all sights!

[04:17.00]

يَا دَيْمُومُ يَا قَيُّومُ وَعَالِمَ كُلِّ مَعْلُومٍ

ya daymumu ya qayyumu wa `alima kulli ma`lumin

O Everlasting, O Self-Subsistent, O Knower of all known things!

[04:27.00]

صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ وَعَلَىٰ عِبَادِكَ ٱلْمُنْتَجَبِينَ

salli `ala muhammadin wa alihi wa `ala `ibadika almuntajabina

(Please do) send blessings to Muhammad, his Household, Your selected servants,

[04:40.00]

وَبَشَرِكَ ٱلْمُحْتَجِبِينَ

wa basharika almuhtajibina

Your concealed human beings,

[04:44.00]

وَمَلائِكَتِكَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ

wa mala'ikatika almuqarrabina

Your favorite angels,

[04:50.00]

وَٱلْبُهْمِ ٱلصَّافِّينَ ٱلْحَافِّينَ

walbuhmi alssaffina alhaffina

and the Angels who draw themselves out in ranks and who throng (round the Divine Throne),

[04:58.00]

وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِي شَهْرِنَا هٰذَا ٱلْمُرَجَّبِ ٱلْمُكَرَّمِ

wa barik lana fi shahrina hadha almurajjabi almukarrami

and bless us in this month—the honored and dignified—

[05:07.00]

وَمَا بَعْدَهُ مِنَ ٱلأَشْهُرِ ٱلْحُرُمِ

wa ma ba`dahu min al-ashhuri alhurumi

as well as the next sacred months,

[05:13.00]

وَأَسْبِغْ عَلَيْنَا فِيهِ ٱلنِّعَمَ

wa asbigh `alayna fihi alnni`ama

pour upon us Your graces in this month,

[05:17.00]

وَأَجْزِلْ لَنَا فِيهِ ٱلْقِسَمَ

wa ajzil lana fihi alqisama

grant us abundant shares of blessings,

[05:22.00]

وَأَبْرِرْ لَنَا فِيهِ ٱلْقَسَمَ

wa abrir lana fihi alqasama

admit our requests,

[05:27.00]

بِٱسْمِكَ ٱلأَعْظَمِ ٱلأَعْظَمِ ٱلأَجَلِّ ٱلأَكْرَمِ

bismika al-a`zami al-a`zami al-ajalli al-akrami

in the name of Your Name, the Greatest, the Greatest, the Loftiest, the Most Honored

[05:33.00]

ٱلَّذِي وَضَعْتَهُ عَلَىٰ ٱلنَّهَارِ فَأَضَاءَ

alladhi wada`tahu `ala alnnahari fa-ada'a

that You put on daylight and it thus lit up

[05:41.00]

وَعَلَىٰ ٱللَّيْلِ فَأَظْلَمَ

wa `ala allayli fa-azlama

and You put on night and it thus darkened,

[05:44.00]

وَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا مَا تَعْلَمُ مِنَّا وَمَا لا نَعْلَمُ

waghfir lana ma ta`lamu minna wa ma la na`lamu

forgive us all that which You know about us and all that which we do not know,

[05:54.00]

وَٱعْصِمْنَا مِنَ ٱلذُّنُوبِ خَيْرَ ٱلْعِصَمِ

wa`simna mina aldhdhnubi khayra al`isami

protect us against sins with the best of protection,

[06:01.00]

وَٱكْفِنَا كَوَافِيَ قَدَرِكَ

wakfina kawafiya qadarika

save us against the acts that You predetermine,

[06:06.00]

وَٱمْنُنْ عَلَيْنَا بِحُسْنِ نَظَرِكَ

wamnun `alayna bihusni nazarika

bestow upon us with Your superb looking,

[06:11.00]

وَلاَ تَكِلْنَا إلَىٰ غَيْرِكَ

wa la takilna ila ghayrika

do not leave us in the hands of anyone other than You,

[06:16.00]

وَلاَ تَمْنَعْنَا مِنْ خَيْرِكَ

wa la tamna`na min khayrika

do not prevent us from Your goodness,

[06:23.00]

وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِيمَا كَتَبْتَهُ لَنَا مِنْ أَعْمَارِنَا

wa barik lana fima katabtahu lana min a`marina

bless us during the age that You have decided for us,

[06:34.00]

وَأَصْلِحْ لَنَا خَبِيئَةَ أَسْرَارِنَا

wa aslih lana khabi'ata asrarina

make righteous for us our inner selves,

[06:41.00]

وَأَعْطِنَا مِنْكَ ٱلأَمَانَ

wa a`tina minka al-amana

grant us Your security,

[06:47.00]

وَٱسْتَعْمِلْنَا بِحُسْنِ ٱلإِيـمَانِ

wasta`milna bihusni al-imani

make us enjoy perfect faith,

[06:53.00]

وَبَلِّغْنَا شَهْرَ ٱلصِّيَامِ

wa ballighna shahra alssiyami

and make us catch the month of fasting

[06:59.00]

وَمَا بَعْدَهُ مِنَ ٱلأَيَّامِ وَٱلأَعْوَامِ

wa ma ba`dahu mina al-ayyami wal-a`wami

and the days and years coming after,

[07:06.00]

يَا ذَا َٱلْجَلالِ وَٱلإِكْرَامِ

ya dha aljalali wal-ikrami

O Lord of Majesty and Honor!

[00:16.00]

اَللَّهُمَّ يَا ذَاَ ٱلْمِنَنِ ٱلسَّابِغَةِ

allahumma ya dha alminani alssabighati

O Allah, the Lord of the complete favors,

[00:23.00]

وَٱلآلاَءِ ٱلْوَازِعَةِ

wal-ala‘i alwazi`ati

the utter bounties,

[00:31.00]

وَٱلرَّحْمَةِ ٱلْوَاسِعَةِ

walrrahmati alwasi`ati

the immense mercy,

[00:36.00]

وَٱلْقُدْرَةِ ٱلْجَامِعَةِ

walqudrati aljami`ati

and all-encompassing power,

[00:39.00]

وَٱلنِّعَمِ ٱلْجَسِيمَةِ

walnni`ami aljasimati

and the immense blessings,

[00:44.00]

وَٱلْمَوَاهِبِ ٱلْعَظِيمَةِ

walmawahibi al`azimati

and the great gifts,

[00:48.00]

وَٱلأَيَادِي ٱلْجَمِيلَةِ

wal-ayadi aljamilati

and the elegant boons,

[00:53.00]

وَٱلْعَطَايَا ٱلْجَزِيلَةِ

wal`ataya aljazilati

and plentiful rewards!

[00:58.00]

يَا مَنْ لا يُنْعَتُ بِتَمْثِيلٍ

ya man la yun`atu bitamthilin

O He Who cannot be described by any analogy,

[01:04.00]

وَلاَ يُمَثَّلُ بِنَظِيرٍ

wa la yumaththalu binazirin

nor compared with any like,

[01:07.00]

وَلاَ يُغْلَبُ بِظَهِيرٍ

wa la yughlabu bizahirin

and nor overcome with the help of any supporter.

[01:11.00]

يَا مَنْ خَلَقَ فَرَزَقَ

ya man khalaqa farazaqa

O He Who created and then granted sustenance,

[01:16.00]

وَأَلْهَمَ فَأَنْطَقَ

wa alhama fa-antaqa

and inspired (them) and then endowed them with speech,

[01:19.00]

وَٱبْتَدَعَ فَشَرَعَ

wabtada`a fashara`a

and originated (the creation) and then initiated it,

[01:22.00]

وَعَلاَ فَٱرْتَفَعَ

wa `ala fartafa`a

transcended it and then surmounted it,

[01:25.00]

وَقَدَّرَ فَأَحْسَنَ

wa qaddara fa-ahsana

and determined it in an excellent form,

[01:30.00]

وَصَوَّرَ فَأَتْقَنَ

wa sawwara fa-atqana

and then formed it in a perfect manner,

[01:34.00]

وَٱحْتَجَّ فَأَبْلَغَ

wahtajja fa-ablagha

and advanced conclusive proofs,

[01:38.00]

وَأَنْعَمَ فَأَسْبَغَ

wa an`ama fa-asbagha

and blessed abundantly,

[01:42.00]

وَأَعْطَىٰ فَأَجْزَلَ

wa a`ta fa-ajzala

and rewarded plenteously,

[01:45.00]

وَمَنَحَ فَأَفْضَلَ

wa manaha fa-afdala

and conferred gracious gifts!

[01:49.00]

يَا مَنْ سَمَا فِي ٱلْعِزِّ

ya man sama fi al`izzi

O He Who is so lofty in might

[01:55.00]

فَفَاتَ نَوَاظِرَ ٱلأَبْصَارِ

fafata nawazira al-absari

so he eludes the gaze of the creatures' eyes,

[02:00.00]

وَدَنَا فِي ٱللُّطْفِ

wa dana fi allutfi

and so close in affection

[02:04.00]

فَجَازَ هَوَاجِسَ ٱلأَفْكَارِ

fajaza hawajisa al-afkari

so as to ascend all notions of thought!

[02:10.00]

يَا مَنْ تَوَحَّدَ بِٱلْمُلْكِ

ya man tawahhada bilmulki

O He Who is the sole sovereign of His dominion

[02:14.00]

فَلاَ نِدَّ لَهُ فِي مَلَكُوتِ سُلْطَانِهِ

fala nidda lahu fi malakuti sultanihi

that no peer can ever be found for Him in the realms of His power

[02:22.00]

وَتَفَرَّدَ بِٱلآلاَءِ وَٱلْكِبْرِيَاءِ

wa tafarrada bil-ala‘i walkibriya‘i

and has been so matchless in bounties and supremacy

[02:31.00]

فَلاَ ضِدَّ لَهُ فِي جَبَرُوتِ شَأْنِهِ

fala didda lahu fi jabaruti sha'nihi

that nothing can oppose Him in the omnipotence of His situation!

[02:38.00]

يَا مَنْ حَارَتْ فِي كِبْرِيَاءِ هَيْبَتِهِ دَقَائِقُ لَطَائِفِ ٱلأَوْهَامِ

ya man harat fi kibriya‘i haybatihi daqa’iqu lata’ifi al-awhami

O He the greatness of whose awe, bewilders the intricate subtleties of the imagination

[02:52.00]

وَٱنْحَسَرَتْ دُونَ إِدْرَاكِ عَظَمَتِهِ خَطَائِفُ أَبْصَارِ ٱلأَنَامِ

wanhasarat duna idraki `azamatihi khata’ifu absari al-anami

and before Whose greatness are wearied the glances of the eyes of the worlds inhabitants!

[03:02.00]

يَا مَنْ عَنَتِ ٱلْوُجُوهُ لِهَيْبَتِهِ

ya man `anat alwujuhu lihaybatihi

O He before Whose Awe all faces have humbled themselves,

[03:08.00]

وَخَضَعَتِ ٱلرِّقَابُ لِعَظَمَتِهِ

wa khada`at alrriqabu li`azamatihi

to His greatness all necks bend,

[03:13.00]

وَوَجِلَتِ ٱلْقُلُوبُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِ

wa wajilat alqulubu min khifatihi

and His fear makes the hearts quake!

[03:19.00]

أَسْأَلُكَ بِهٰذِهِ ٱلْمِدْحَةِ ٱلَّتِي لا تَنْبَغِي إِلاَّ لَكَ

as'aluka bihadhihi almidhati allati la tanbaghi illa laka

I beseech You in the name of this piece of praise which suits none but You,

[03:28.00]

وَبِمَا وَأَيْتَ بِهِ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِكَ لِدَاعِيكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

wa bima wa'ayta bihi `ala nafsika lida`ika mina almu'minina

and by the promise which You have made incumbent upon Yourself for the believers who call upon You,

[03:40.00]

وَبِمَا ضَمِنْتَ ٱلإِجَابَةَ فِيهِ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِكَ لِلدَّاعِينَ

wa bima daminta al-ijabata fihi `ala nafsika lildda`ina

and by the assurance You have given to answer the appeals of those who supplicate to You.

[03:50.00]

يَا أَسْمَعَ ٱلسَّامِعِينَ

ya asma`a alssami`ina

O the sharpest of listeners!

[03:57.00]

وَأَبْصَرَ ٱلنَّاظِرِينَ

wa absara alnnazirina

and the keenest of observers!

[04:02.00]

وَأَسْرَعَ ٱلْحَاسِبِينَ

wa asra`a alhasibina

and the swiftest of reckoners!

[04:08.00]

يَا ذَاَ ٱلْقُوَّةِ ٱلْمَتِينَ

ya dha alquwwati almatina

O Powerful and All-strong!

[04:12.00]

صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ خَاتَمِ ٱلنَّبِيِّينَ وَعَلَىٰ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ

salli `ala muhammadin khatami alnnabiyyina wa `ala ahli baytihi

(Please do) bless Muhammad, the seal of the Prophets, and his Household,

[04:21.00]

وَٱقْسِمْ لِي فِي شَهْرِنَا هٰذَا خَيْرَ مَا قَسَمْتَ

waqsim li fi shahrina hadha khayra ma qasamta

and allot for me in this month of ours the best of what You have allotted to anyone,

[04:29.00]

وَٱحْتِمْ لِي فِي قَضَائِكَ خَيْرَ مَا حَتَمْتَ

wahtim li fi qada'ika khayra ma hatamta

and ordain for me in Your ordainments the best of what You have ordained for anyone,

[04:37.00]

وَٱخْتِمْ لِي بَٱلسَّعَادَةِ فِيمَنْ خَتَمْتَ

wakhtim li bilssa`adati fiman khatamta

seal my life with happiness with which You seal the lives of others,

[04:46.00]

وَأَحْيِنِي مَا أَحْيَيْتَنِي مَوْفُوراً

wa ahyini ma ahyaytani mawfuran

Give me a prosperous life, so long as You keep me alive,

[04:55.00]

وَأَمِتْنِي مَسْرُوراً وَمَغْفُوراً

wa amitni masruran wa maghfuran

and grant me to die happy and forgiven,

[05:03.00]

وَتَوَلَّ أَنْتَ نَجَاتِي مِنْ مُسَاءَلَةِ ٱلبَرْزَخِ

wa tawalla anta najati min musa'alati albarzakhi

You assume the charge of my deliverance during the questioning in the purgatory,

[05:12.00]

وَٱدْرأْ عَنِّي مُنكَراً وَنَكِيراً

wadra' `anni munkaran wa nakiran

and spare me from Munkar and Nakir,

[05:20.00]

وَأَرِ عَيْنِي مُبَشِّراً وَبَشِيراً

wa ari `ayni mubashshiran wa bashiran

and make Mubashshir and Bashir appear before my eyes,

[05:27.00]

وَٱجْعَلْ لِي إِلَىٰ رِضْوَانِكَ وَجِنَانِكَ مَصِيراً

waj`al li ila ridwanika wa jinanika masiran

let my return be toward Your pleasure and paradise,

[05:37.00]

وَعَيْشاً قَرِيراً

wa `ayshan qariran

and grant me a happy life,

[05:41.00]

وَمُلْكاً كَبِيراً

wa mulkan kabiran

and a big kingdom,

[05:45.00]

وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ كَثِيراً

wa salli `ala muhammadin wa alihi kathiran

and bless Muhammad and his Household very much.

[00:16.00]

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ صَبْرَ الشَّاكِرِيْنَ لَكَ

allahumma inni as'aluka sabra alshshakirina laka

O Allah, I implore You to grant me the patience of those who always thank You,

[00:26.00]

وَ عَمَلَ الْخَاۤئِفِيْنَ مِنْكَ

wa `amala alkha'fina minka

the efforts of those who fear You,

[00:32.00]

وَ يَقِيْنَ الْعَابِدِيْنَ لَكَ

wa yaqina al`abidina laka

and the conviction of those who worship You devoutly.

[00:39.00]

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيْمُ

allahumma anta al`aliyyu al`azimu

O Allah, You are the Most High, the All-Supreme,

[00:44.00]

وَ اَنَا عَبْدُكَ الْبَاۤئِسُ الْفَقِيْرُ

wa ana `abduka alba'isu alfaqiru

and I am Your servant—the destitute and the needy.

[00:52.00]

اَنْتَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ

anta alghaniyyu alhamidu

You are the Self-Sufficient, the Praised,

[00:57.00]

وَ اَنَا الْعَبْدُ الذَّلِيْلُ

wa ana al`abdu aldhdhalilu

and I am the abject and lowly servant.

[01:01.00]

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِهِ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa alihi

O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household

[01:09.00]

وَ امْنُنْ بِغِنَاكَ عَلَى فَقْرِيْ

wamnun bighinaka `ala faqri

and favour me with Your sufficiency upon my poverty,

[01:15.00]

وَ بِحِلْمِكَ عَلٰى جَهْلِيْ

wa bihilmika `alai jahli

and with Your forbearance upon my ignorance,

[01:21.00]

وَ بِقُوَّتِكَ عَلٰى ضَعْفِيْ

wa biquwwatika `alai da`fi

and with Your strength on my weakness,

[01:27.00]

يَا قَوِيُّ يَا عَزِيْزُ

ya qawiyyu ya `azizu

O All-Strong, O Almighty.

[01:33.00]

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِهِ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa alihi

O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household;

[01:41.00]

الْاَوْصِيَاءِ الْمَرْضِيِّيْنَ

al-awsiya‘i almardiyyina

the Successors (of prophet hood) and the Pleased;

[01:47.00]

وَ اكْفِنِيْ مَا اَهَمَّنِيْ مِنْ اَمْرِ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ

wakfini ma ahammani min amri alddunya wal-akhirati

and suffice me from whatever aggrieves me from the affairs pertaining to the world and the Hereafter.

[01:58.00]

يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ۔

ya arhama alrrahimina

O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

[00:16.00]

خَابَ الْوَافِدُوْنَ عَلٰى غَيْرِكَ

khaba alwafidwna `alai ghayrika

Those who approach other than You are disappointed.

[00:23.00]

وَ خَسِرَ الْمُتَعَرِّضُوْنَ اِلَّا لَكَ

wa khasira almuta`arriduna illa laka

Those who try to gain the favour of other than You are losers;

[00:30.00]

وَ ضَاعَ الْمُلِمُّوْنَ اِلَّا بِكَ

wa da`a almulimmuna illa bika

those who make other than You the goal of their journey perish;

[00:36.00]

وَ اَجْدَبَ الْمُنْتَجِعُوْنَ اِلَّا مَنِ انْتَجَعَ فَضْلَكَ

wa ajdaba almuntaji`una illa man intaja`a fadlaka

and all except those who seek resort in Your grace face desolation

[00:45.00]

بَابُكَ مَفْتُوْحٌ لِلرَّاغِبِيْنَ

babuka maftuhun lilrraghibina

Your door is open for the seekers

[00:53.00]

وَ خَيْرُكَ مَبْذُوْلٌ لِلطَّالِبِيْنَ

wa khayruka mabdhulun lilttalibina

and your boons are given to those who seek them,

[01:00.00]

وَ فَضْلُكَ مُبَاحٌ لِلسَّاۤئِلِيْنَ

wa fadluka mubahun lilssa’ilina

and Your grace is freely available to those who ask for it,

[01:06.00]

وَ نَيْلُكَ مُتَاحٌ لِلْآمِلِيْنَ

wa nayluka mutahun lilamilina

Access to You is granted to those who hope for it!

[01:14.00]

وَ رِزْقُكَ مَبْسُوْطٌ لِمَنْ عَصَاكَ

wa rizquka mabsutun liman `asaka

Your sustenance is extended for even those who disobey You.

[01:22.00]

وَ حِلْمُكَ مُعْتَرِضٌ لِمَنْ نَاوَاكَ

wa hilmuka mu`taridun liman nawaka

Your forbearance extends to those who antagonize You.

[01:26.00]

عَادَتُكَ الْاِحْسَانُ اِلَى الْمُسِيْئِيْنَ

`adatuka al-ihsanu ila almusi'ina

Your habit is to do favor to the wrongdoers

[01:33.00]

وَ سَبِيْلُكَ الْاِبْقَاءُ عَلَى الْمُعْتَدِيْنَ

wa sabiluka al-ibqa‘u `ala almu`tadina

and Your way is to be benevolent to the transgressors.

[01:40.00]

اَللّٰهُمَّ فَاهْدِنِي هُدَى الْمُهْتَدِيْنَ

allahumma fahdini huda almuhtadina

O Allah, so (lovingly) guide me with guidance enjoyed by the rightly-guided,

[01:47.00]

وَ ارْزُقْنِي اجْتِهَادَ الْمُجْتَهِدِيْنَ

warzuqni ijtihada almujtahidina

and enable me to strive like the diligent,

[01:52.00]

وَ لَا تَجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الْغَافِلِيْنَ الْمُبْعَدِيْنَ

wa la taj`alni mina alghafilina almub`adina

do not place me with the negligent who are kept at a distance from You

[02:01.00]

وَ اغْفِرْ لِيْ يَوْمَ الدِّينِ

waghfir li yawma alddini

and forgive me on the Day of Retribution.

[00:15.00]

يَا مَنْ يَمْلِكُ حَوَائِجَ ٱلسَّائِلِينَ

ya man yamliku hawa'ija alssa'ilina

O He who possesses the means to fulfill the needs of the supplicants,

[00:25.00]

وَيَعْلَمُ ضَمِيرَ ٱلصَّامِتِينَ

wa ya`lamu damira alssamitina

and is aware of that which is hidden in the heart of the silent!

[00:33.00]

لِكُلِّ مَسْأَلَةٍ مِنْكَ سَمْعٌ حَاضِرٌ

likulli mas'alatin minka sam`un hadirun

For You hear every problem instantly,

[00:40.00]

وَجَوَابٌ عَتِيدٌ

wa jawabun `atidun

and respond immediately.

[00:44.00]

اَللَّهُمَّ وَمَوَاعِيدُكَ ٱلصَّادِقَةُ

allahumma wa mawa`iduka alssadiqatu

O Allah, Your promises come true,

[00:52.00]

وَأَيَادِيكَ ٱلْفَاضِلَةُ

wa ayadika alfadilatu

Your favors are many,

[00:58.00]

وَرَحْمَتُكَ ٱلْوَاسِعَةُ

wa rahmatuka alwasi`atu

and Your Mercy is extensive,

[01:02.00]

فَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

fa-as'aluka an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

therefore, I beseech You to send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

[01:13.00]

وَأَنْ تَقْضِيَ حَوَائِجِي لِلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ

wa an taqdiya hawa'iji lilddunya wal-akhirati

and to fulfill my desires for the world and the Hereafter.

[01:24.00]

إنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

innaka `ala kulli shay‘in qadirun

Most certainly, You have power over all things.

[00:00.00]

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

bismi allahi alrrahmani alrrahimi

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

[00:10.00]

"اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

[00:19.00]

َللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِاَنَّكَ مَلِكٌ

allahumma inni as'aluk bi'annaka malikun

O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Your being the King,

[00:31.00]

وَ اَنَّكَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ مُقْتَدِرٌ

wa annaka `ala kulli shay'in muqtadirun

having absolute power over all things,

[00:39.00]

وَ اَنَّكَ مَا تَشَاءُ مِنْ اَمْرٍ يَكُوْنُ

wa annaka ma tasha'u min amrin yakunu

and whatever matter You want to happen shall happen.

[00:52.00]

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَتَوَجَّهُ اِلَيْكَ بِنَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma inni atawajjahu ilayka binabiyyika muhammadin

O Allah, I turn my face towards You asking You in the name of Your Prophet, Muhammad,

[01:04.00]

نَبِيِّ الرَّحْمَةِ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ اٰلِهِ

nabiyyi alrrahmati salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi

the Prophet of mercy—may Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Household.

[01:12.00]

يَا مُحَمَّدُ

ya muhammadu

O Muhammad!

[01:15.00]

يَا رَسُوْلَ اللّٰهِ

ya rasula allahi

O Messenger of Allah!

[01:20.00]

اِنِّي اَتَوَجَّهُ بِكَ اِلَى اللّٰهِ رَبِّكَ وَ رَبِّيْ

inni atawajjahu bika ila allahi rabbika wa rabbi

I seek Your intercession for me with Allah, your and my Lord,

[01:32.00]

لِيُنْجِحَ [لِي‏] بِكَ طَلِبَتِيْ

liyunjiha li bika talibati

so that He may respond to my request.

[01:40.00]

اَللّٰهُمَّ بِنَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma binabiyyika muhammadin

O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Your Prophet Muhammad

[01:45.00]

وَ الْاَئِمَّةِ مِنْ اَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ

wal-a'immati min ahli baytihi

and the Imams from his household,

[01:50.00]

صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَيْهِمْ

salla allahu `alayhi wa `alayhim

peace be upon him and them,

[01:56.00]

اَنْجِحْ طَلِبَتِي۔

anjih talibati

to respond to my request.
