بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
bismi allahi alrrahmani alrrahimi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلٰى اٰدَمَ صَفْوَةِ اللّٰهِ
as-salamu `ala adama safwati allahi
Peace be upon Adam the choice of Allah.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلٰى نُوْحٍ نَبِيِّ اللّٰهِ
as-salamu `ala nuhin nabiyyi allahi
Peace be upon Noah the prophet of Allah.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلٰىۤ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ خَلِيْلِ اللّٰهِ
as-salamu `ala ibrahima khalili allahi
Peace be upon Abraham the friend of Allah.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلٰى مُوْسٰى كَلِيْمِ اللّٰهِ
as-salamu `ala musa kalimi allahi
Peace be upon Moses the spoken by Allah.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلٰى عِيْسٰى رُوْحِ اللّٰهِ
as-salamu `ala `isa ruhi allahi
Peace be upon Jesus the spirit of Allah.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُوْلَ اللّٰهِ
as-salamu `alayka ya rasula allahi
Peace be upon you, O Allah’s Messenger.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَيْرَ خَلْقِ اللّٰهِ
as-salamu `alayka ya khayra khalqi allahi
Peace be upon you, O Allah’s best creature.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَفِيَّ اللّٰهِ
as-salamu `alayka ya safiyya allahi
Peace be upon you, O elite of Allah.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ
as-salamu `alayka ya muhammadu bna `abdillahi
Peace be upon you, O Muhammad the son of `Abdullah
خَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ
khatama alnnabiyyina
and the seal of the Prophets.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَاۤ اَمِيْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
as-salamu `alayka ya amira almu'minina
Peace be upon you, O Commander of the Faithful
عَلِيَّ بْنَ اَبِيْ طَالِبٍ
`aliyyu bna abi talibin
`Ali the son of Abu-Talib
وَصِيَّ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ
wasiyya rasuli allahi
and the successor of Allah’s Messenger.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا فَاطِمَةُ
as-salamu `alayki ya fatimatu
Peace be upon you, O Fatimah
سَيِّدَةَ نِسَاۤءِ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
sayyidata nisa'i al`alamina
the doyenne of the women of the worlds.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمَا يَا سِبْطَيِ الرَّحْمَةِ
as-salamu `alaykuma ya sibtay alrrahmati
Peace be upon both of you, O grandsons of the Mercy
وَ سَيِّدَيْ شَبَابِ اَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ
wa sayyiday shababi ahli aljannati
and two chiefs of the youth of Paradise.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ
as-salamu `alayka ya `aliyyu bna alhusayni
Peace be upon you, O `Ali the son of al-Husayn
سَيِّدَ الْعَابِدِيْنَ وَ قُرَّةَ عَيْنِ النَّاظِرِيْنَ،
sayyida al`abidina wa qurrata `ayni alnnazirina
the chief of the worshippers, and the delight of the eye of all seers.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ
as-salamu `alayka ya muhammadu bna `aliyyin
Peace be upon you, O Muhammad the son of `Ali
بَاقِرَ الْعِلْمِ بَعْدَ النَّبِيِّ
baqira al`ilmi ba`da alnnabiyyi
and the splitter of knowledge after the Prophet.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا جَعْفَرَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ
as-salamu `alayka ya ja`faru bna muhammadin
Peace be upon you, O Ja`far the son of Muhammad,
۟اِلصَّادِقَ الْبَآرَّ الْاَمِيْنَ
alssadiqu albarru al-aminu
the veracious, dutiful, and honest.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُوْسَى بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ
as-salamu `alayka ya musa bna ja`farin
Peace be upon you, O Musa the son of Ja`far
۟اِلطَّاهِرَ الطُّهْرَ
alttahiru alttuhru
the immaculate and ever-pure.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عَلِيَّ بْنَ مُوْسَى
as-salamu `alayka ya `aliyyu bna musa
Peace be upon you, O `Ali the son of Musa
الرِّضَا الْمُرْتَضٰى
alrrida almurtada
the well-pleased and well-contented.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ ۟اِلتَّقِيَّ
as-salamu `alayka ya muhammadu bna `aliyyin alttaqiyyu
Peace be upon you, O Muhammad the son of `Ali the pious.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عَلِيَّ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ ۟
as-salamu `alayka ya `aliyyu bna muhammadin
Peace be upon you, O `Ali the son of Muhammad
اِلنَّقِيَّ النَّاصِحَ الْاَمِيْنَ
alnnaqiyyu alnnasihu al-aminu
the immaculate, sincere, and honest.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ
as-salamu `alayka ya hasanu bna `aliyyin
Peace be upon you, O Hasan son of `Ali.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى الْوَصِيِّ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ
as-salamu `ala alwasiyyi min ba`dihi
Peace be upon the next successor.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى نُوْرِكَ وَ سِرَاجِكَ
allahumma salli `ala nurika wa sirajika
O Allah, send blessings upon Your light, Your lantern,
وَ وَلِيِّ وَلِيِّكَ
wa waliyyi waliyyika
the representative of Your representative,
وَ وَصِيِّ وَصِيِّكَ
wa wasiyyi wasiyyika
the successor of Your successor,
وَ حُجَّتِكَ عَلٰى خَلْقِكَ
wa hujjatika `ala khalqika
and the argument of You against Your creatures.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ
as-salamu `alayki ya binta rasuli allahi
Peace be upon you, O daughter of Allah’s Messenger.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ فَاطِمَةَ وَ خَدِيْجَةَ
as-salamu `alayki ya binta fatimata wa khadijata
Peace be upon you, O daughter of Fatimah and Khadijah.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
as-salamu `alayki ya binta amiri almu'minina
Peace be upon you, O daughter of the Commander of the Faithful.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ
as-salamu `alayki ya binta alhasani walhusayni
Peace be upon you, O daughter of al-Hasan and al-Husayn.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ وَلِيِّ اللّٰهِ
as-salamu `alayki ya binta waliyyi allahi
Peace be upon you, O daughter of Allah’s representative.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا اُخْتَ وَلِيِّ اللّٰهِ
as-salamu `alayki ya ukhta waliyyi allahi
Peace be upon you, O sister of Allah’s representative.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا عَمَّةَ وَلِيِّ اللّٰهِ
as-salamu `alayki ya `ammata waliyyi allahi
Peace be upon you, O paternal aunt of Allah’s representative.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ۟اِلتَّقِيِّ
as-salamu `alayki ya binta muhammadi bni `aliyyin alttaqiyyi
Peace be upon you, O daughter of Muhammad the son of `Ali the pious.
وَ رَحْمَةُ اللّٰهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ،
wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu
Allah’s mercy and blessings, too, be upon you.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ
as-salamu `alayki
Peace be upon you.
عَرَّفَ اللّٰهُ بَيْنَنَا وَ بَيْنَكُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ
`arrafa allahu baynana wa baynakum fi aljannati
May Allah introduce us to you all in Paradise,
وَ حَشَرَنَا فِيْ زُمْرَتِكُمْ
wa hasharana fi zumratikum
may He include us with your group,
وَ اَوْرَدَنَا حَوْضَ نَبِيِّكُمْ
wa awradana hawda nabiyyikum
and may He allow us to approach the pond of Your Prophet
وَ سَقَانَا بِكَأْسِ جَدِّكُمْ
wa saqana bika'si jaddikum
and serve us with water from the cup of your grandfather
مِنْ يَدِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ اَبِيْ طَالِبٍ
min yadi `aliyyi bni abi talibin
and from the hand of `Ali the son of Abu-Talib.
صَلَوَاتُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ
salawatu allahi `alaykum
Allah’s blessings be upon you all.
اَسْاَلُ اللّٰهَ اَنْ يُرِيَنَا فِيْكُمُ السُّرُوْرَ وَ الْفَرَجَ
as'alu allaha an yuriyana fikumu alssurura walfaraja
I beseech Allah to show us delight and relief through you,
وَ اَنْ يَجْمَعَنَا وَاِيَّاكُمْ فِيْ زُمْرَةِ جَدِّكُمْ
wa an yajma`ana wa iyyakum fi zumrati jaddikum
to join us with you in the group of your grandfather
مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ اٰلِهِ
muhammadin salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi
Muhammad, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Household,
وَ اَنْ لَا يَسْلُبَنَا مَعْرِفَتَكُمْ
wa an la yaslubana ma`rifatakum
and never to deprive us of our recognition of you.
اِنَّهُ وَلِيٌّ قَدِيْرٌ
innahu waliyyun qadirun
Verily, He is Guardian and All-powerful.
اَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَى اللّٰهِ بِحُبِّكُمْ
ataqarrabu ila allahi bihubbikum
I seek nearness to Allah through (my) love for you,
وَ الْبَرَاۤءَةِ مِنْ اَعْدَاۤئِكُمْ
walbara'ati min a`da'ikum
repudiation of your enemies,
وَ التَّسْلِيْمِ اِلَى اللّٰهِ
walttaslimi ila allahi
and submission to Allah,
رَاضِيًا بِهِ غَيْرَ مُنْكِرٍ وَ لَا مُسْتَكْبِرٍ
radiyan bihi ghayra munkirin wa la mustakbirin
accepting Him without denial or arrogance,
وَ عَلٰى يَقِيْنِ مَاۤ اَتٰى بِهِ مُحَمَّدٌ
wa `ala yaqini ma ata bihi muhammadun
being fully certain of what Muhammad has brought
وَ بِهِ رَاضٍ
wa bihi radin
and showing full satisfaction with it.
نَطْلُبُ بِذٰلِكَ وَجْهَكَ
natlubu bidhalika wajhaka
We, through this, only seek Your Face,
يَا سَيِّدِيْ اَللّٰهُمَّ وَ رِضَاكَ
ya sayyidi allahumma wa ridaka
O my Master Allah and Your satisfaction
وَ الدَّارَ الْاٰخِرَةَ
walddara al-akhirata
as well as the Next Abode.
يَا حَكِيْمَةُ اشْفَعِيْ لِيْ فِيْ الْجَنَّةِ
ya hakimatu ishfa`i li fi aljannati
O Hakimah, (please) intercede for me to win Paradise,
فَاِنَّ لَكِ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ شَأْنًا مِنَ الشَّأْنِ
fa'inna laki `inda allahi sha'nan min alshsha'ni
for you enjoy an outstanding status with Allah.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيۤ اَسْاَلُكَ اَنْ تَخْتِمَ لِيْ بِالسَّعَادَةِ
allahumma inni as'aluka an takhtima li bilssa`adati
O Allah, I do beseech You to seal my life with happiness;
فَلَا تَسْلُبَ مِنِّيْ مَا اَنَا فِيْهِ
fala taslub minni ma ana fihi
so, (please) do not deprive me of that which I enjoy.
وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيْمِ
wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahi al`aliyyi al`azimi
There is neither might nor power except with Allah the All-high and All-great.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اسْتَجِبْ لَنَا
allahumma istajib lana
O Allah, (please) respond to us,
وَ تَقَبَّلْهُ بِكَرَمِكَ وَ عِزَّتِكَ
wa taqabbalhu bikaramika wa `izzatika
accept this from us in the name of Your generosity, almightiness,
وَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ وَ عَافِيَتِكَ
wa birahmatika wa `afiyatika
mercy, and bestowal of wellbeing.
وَ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِهِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ
wa salla allahu `ala muhammadin wa alihi ajma`ina
May Allah bless Muhammad and his entire Household
وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيْمًا يَاۤ اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ۔
wa sallama tasliman ya arhama alrrahimina
and pour down peace on them, O most merciful of all those who show mercy.
اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
