اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ ٱللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ

allahu akbaru allahu akbaru

Allah is the Most Great. Allah is the Most Great.

أَهْلَ ٱلْكِبْرِيَاءِ وَٱلْمَجْدِ وَٱلْعَظَمَةِ

ahla alkibriya'i walmajdi wal`azamati

O worthiest of exaltation, glorification, and grandeur.

اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ أَهْلَ ٱلتَّكْبِيرِ وَٱلتَّقدِْيسِ

allahu akbaru ahla alttakbiri walttaqdisi

Allah is the Most Great. O worthiest of being deemed Great, of sanctification,

وَٱلتَّسْبِيحِ وَٱلآلاَءِ

walttasbihi wal-ala'i

of glorification, and of granting bounties.

اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ مِمَّا أَخَافُ وَأَحْذَرُ

allahu akbaru mimma akhafu wa ahdharu

Allah is Greater than what I fear and what I worry about.

اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ عِمَادِي وَعَلَيْهِ أَتَوَكَّلُ

allahu akbaru `imadi wa `alayhi atawakkalu

Allah is the Most Great; He is my support and on Him do I rely.

اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ رَجَائِي وَإِلَيْهِ أُنيبُ

allahu akbaru raja'i wa ilayhi unibu

Allah is the Most Great; He is my hope and to Him do I turn.

اَللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ وَلِيُّ نِعْمَتِي

allahumma anta waliyyu ni`mati

O Allah, You are indeed the source of my blessings

وَٱلْقَادِرُ عَلَىٰ طَلِبَتِي

walqadiru `ala talibati

and You alone can respond to my request.

تَعْلَمُ حَاجَتِي

ta`lamu hajati

You know my neediness

وَمَا تُضْمِرُهُ هَوَاجِسُ ٱلصُّدُورِ

wa ma tudmiruhu hawajisu alssuduri

and whatever is concealed by the premonitions of hearts

وَخَوَاطِرُ ٱلنُّفُوسِ

wa khawatiru alnnufusi

and the thoughts of inner selves.

فَأَسْأَلُكَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ ٱلْمُصْطَفَىٰ

fa'as'aluka bimuhammadin almustafa

I therefore beseech You in the name of Muhammad, the Chosen Prophet,

ٱلَّذِي قَطَعْتَ بِهِ حُجَجَ ٱلْمُحْتَجِّينَ

alladhi qata`ta bihi hujaja almuhtajjina

through whom You have stopped all the claims of those who may excuse

وَعُذْرَ ٱلْمُعْتَذِرِينَ

wa `udhra almu`tadhirina

and the pretexts of those who may make apologies

وَجَعَلْتَهُ رَحْمَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ

wa ja`altahu rahmatan lil`alamina

and whom You have decided to be mercy to the peoples,

أَنْ لاََ تَحْرِمَنِي ثَوَابَ زِيَارَةِ وَلِيِّكَ

an la tahrimani thawaba ziyarati waliyyika

(I beseech You) not to deprive me of the rewards of my visiting Your intimate servant,

وَأَخِي نَبِيِّكَ أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَقَصْدَهُ

wa akhi nabiyyika amiri almu'minina wa qasdahu

the brother of Your Prophet, and the Commander of the Believers and my directing to him,

وَتَجْعَلَنِي مِنْ وَفْدِهِ ٱلصَّالِحِينَ

wa taj`alani min wafdihi alssalihina

and to include me with the virtuous delegation to him

وَشِيعَتِهِ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

wa shi`atihi almuttaqina

and with his pious adherents;

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

birahmatika ya arhama alrrahimina

(I beseech for that) in the name of Your mercy, O most Merciful of all those who show mercy.
