At the last hour of the `Arafah Day, it is recommended to say the following:

ya rabbi inna dhunubi la tadurruka

O my Lord, my sins do not harm You

wa inna maghfirataka li la tanqusuka

nor will Your forgiveness to me reduce Your Grandeur.

fa'a`tini ma la yanqusuka

So, (please do) grant me that which does not reduce Your Grandeur

waghfir li ma la yadurruka

and forgive me that which does not harm You.

It is also recommended to say the following:

O Allah, (please) do not deprive me of the good that You have because of the evil that I have.

fa'in anta lam tarhamni bita`abi wa nasabi

If You do not have mercy upon me due to my fatigue and tiredness,

fala tahrimni ajra almusabi `ala musibatihi

(please) then do not deprive me of the reward of those whom are afflicted with misfortunes.

The following is narrated through a chain of documents to Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn al-Valid, on the authority of Al-Qasim ibn Hussein al-Nayshaburi, through a chain of narrators who said that he saw Aba Ja‟far (as) in Arafah with his hands raised towards the sky. He (as) held them up like that until he moved from Arafah towards Mina. The following is reported on the authority of Muhammad ibn al-Hassan al-saf‟far, through a chain of documents on the authority of Ali ibn Davood. “I saw Aba Abdullah (as) in Arafah while he was holding his clothes with his hands, with his head down towards the earth and pointing with the finger of his right hand and was saying, "This is all of me for all my crimes!‟” The following is reported with a chain of documents on the authority of Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn al-Valid, with a chain of documents on the authority of Himad ibn Abdullah. Once when I was with Abil-Hassan Musa (as) at sunset, he (as) held his robe with his left hand and said the following,

ya rabbi inna dhunubi la tadurruka
