Those who drag forth
Surah-79 | Ayahs-46
Before reciting Holy Quran
[00:00.01]
بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
[00:00.02]
وَالنّٰزِعٰتِ غَرْقًا ۙ﴿1﴾
1.Wan naazi 'aati gharqa
1.By those [angels] who wrest [the soul] violently,
[00:04.00]
وَّالنّٰشِطٰتِ نَشْطًا ۙ﴿2﴾
2.Wan naa shi taati nashta
2.by those who draw [it] out gently,
[00:08.00]
وَّالسّٰبِحٰتِ سَبْحًا ۙ﴿3﴾
3.Wass saabi-haati sabha
3.by those who swim smoothly,
[00:12.00]
فَالسّٰبِقٰتِ سَبْقًا ۙ﴿4﴾
4.Fass saabi qaati sabqa
4.by those who, racing, take the lead,
[00:15.00]
فَالْمُدَبِّرٰتِ اَمْرًا ۘ﴿5﴾
5.Fal mu dab-bi raati amra
5.by those who direct the affairs [of creatures]:
[00:18.00]
يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الرَّاجِفَةُ ۙ﴿6﴾
6.Yawma tarjufur raajifa
6.the day when the Quaker quakes
[00:22.00]
تَتْبَعُهَا الرَّادِفَةُ ؕ﴿7﴾
7.Tatba'u har raadifa
7.and is followed by the Successor,
[00:25.00]
قُلُوْبٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ وَّاجِفَةٌ ۙ﴿8﴾
8.Quloobuny-yau maaiziw-waaji-fa
8.hearts will be trembling on that day,
[00:30.00]
اَبْصَارُهَا خَاشِعَةٌ ۘ﴿9﴾
9.Absaa ruhaa khashi'ah
9.bearing a humbled look.
[00:33.00]
يَقُوْلُوْنَ ءَاِنَّا لَمَرْدُوْدُوْنَ فِى الْحَافِرَةِ ؕ﴿10﴾
10.Ya qoo loona a-inna lamar doo doona fil haafirah
10.They will say, ‘Are we being returned to our earlier state?
[00:41.00]
ءَاِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا نَّخِرَةً ؕ﴿11﴾
11.Aizaa kunna 'izaa man-nakhirah
11.What, even after we have been decayed bones?!’
[00:47.00]
قَالُوْا تِلْكَ اِذًا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌ ۘ﴿12﴾
12.Qaalu tilka izan karratun khaasirah.
12.They will say, ‘This is, then, a ruinous return!’
[00:52.00]
فَاِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌ وَّاحِدَةٌ ۙ﴿13﴾
13.Fa inna ma hiya zajratuw-waahida
13.Yet it will be only a single shout,
[00:58.00]
فَاِذَا هُمْ بِالسَّاهِرَةِ ؕ﴿14﴾
14.Faizaa hum biss saahirah
14.and behold, they will be awake.
[01:02.50]
هَلْ اَتٰٮكَ حَدِيْثُ مُوْسٰىۘ﴿15﴾
15.Hal ataaka hadeethu Musaa
15.Did you receive the story of Moses,
[01:06.50]
اِذْ نَادٰٮهُ رَبُّهٗ بِالْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًىۚ﴿16﴾
16.Iz nadaahu rabbuhu bil waadil-muqad dasi tuwa
16.when his Lord called out to him in the holy valley of Tuwa?
[01:13.00]
اِذْهَبْ اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ اِنَّهٗ طَغٰىؗ ۖ﴿17﴾
17.Izhab ilaa fir'auna innahu taghaa.
17.[And said,] ‘Go to Pharaoh, for indeed he has rebelled,
[01:18.00]
فَقُلْ هَلْ لَّكَ اِلٰٓى اَنْ تَزَكّٰى ۙ﴿18﴾
18.Faqul hal laka ilaa-an tazakka.
18.and say, ‘‘Would you purify yourself?
[01:25.00]
وَاَهْدِيَكَ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشٰىۚ﴿19﴾
19.Wa ahdi yaka ila rabbika fatakh sha
19.I will guide you to your Lord, that you may fear [Him]?’’ ’
[01:29.00]
فَاَرٰٮهُ الْاٰيَةَ الْكُبْرٰىؗ ۖ﴿20﴾
20.Fa araahul-aayatal kubra.
20.Then he showed him the greatest sign.
[01:33.00]
فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصٰىؗ ۖ﴿21﴾
21.Fa kazzaba wa asaa.
21.But he denied, and disobeyed.
[01:35.00]
ثُمَّ اَدْبَرَ يَسْعٰىؗ ۖ﴿22﴾
22.Thumma adbara yas'aa.
22.Then he turned back, walking swiftly,
[01:39.00]
فَحَشَرَ فَنَادٰىؗ ۖ﴿23﴾
23.Fa hashara fanada.
23.and gathered [the people] and proclaimed,
[01:41.00]
فَقَالَ اَنَا رَبُّكُمُ الْاَعْلٰىؗ ۖ﴿24﴾
24.Faqala ana rabbu kumul-a'laa.
24.saying, ‘I am your exalted lord!’
[01:45.00]
فَاَخَذَهُ اللّٰهُ نَڪَالَ الْاٰخِرَةِ وَالْاُوْلٰى ؕ﴿25﴾
25.Fa-akha zahul laahu nakalal aakhirati wal-oola.
25.So Allah seized him with the punishment of this life and the Hereafter.
[01:51.00]
اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّمَنْ يَّخْشٰىؕ۠ ﴿26﴾
26.Inna fee zaalika la'ibratal limaiy-yaksha
26.There is indeed a moral in that for someone who fears!
[01:58.00]
ءَاَنْتُمْ اَشَدُّ خَلْقًا اَمِ السَّمَآءُ ؕ بَنٰٮهَا ۥ ﴿27﴾
27.A-antum a shaddu khalqan amis samaa-u banaaha.
27.Is your creation more prodigious or that of the heaven He has built?
[02:07.00]
رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّٮهَا ۙ﴿28﴾
28.Raf'a sam kaha fasaw waaha
28.He raised its vault and fashioned it,
[02:11.00]
وَ اَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَاَخْرَجَ ضُحٰٮهَا۪ ﴿29﴾
29.Wa aghtasha lailaha wa akhraja duhaaha.
29.and darkened its night, and brought forth its forenoon.
[02:15.00]
وَالْاَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ دَحٰٮهَا ؕ﴿30﴾
30.Wal arda b'ada zaalika dahaaha.
30.Thereafter He spread out the earth,
[02:20.00]
اَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرْعٰٮهَا۪ ﴿31﴾
31.Akhraja minha maa-aha wa mar 'aaha.
31.brought forth from it its water and pastures,
[02:26.00]
وَالْجِبَالَ اَرْسٰٮهَا ۙ﴿32﴾
32.Wal jibala arsaaha.
32.setting firm the mountains,
[02:29.00]
مَتَاعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِاَنْعَامِكُمْؕ﴿33﴾
33.Mataa'al lakum wali an 'aamikum.
33.as a [place of] sustenance for you and your livestock.
[02:33.00]
فَاِذَا جَآءَتِ الطَّآمَّةُ الْكُبْرٰىؗ ۖ﴿34﴾
34.Fa-izaa jaaa'atit taaam matul kubraa.
34.When the Greatest Catastrophe befalls
[02:43.00]
يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ الْاِنْسَانُ مَا سَعٰىۙ﴿35﴾
35.Yauma Yata zakkarul insaanu ma sa'aa.
35.—the day when man will remember his endeavours
[02:48.00]
وَبُرِّزَتِ الْجَحِيْمُ لِمَنْ يَّرٰى﴿36﴾
36.Wa burrizatil-jaheemu limany-yaraa.
36.and hell is brought into view for those who can see—
[02:53.00]
فَاَمَّا مَنْ طَغٰىۙ﴿37﴾
37.Fa ammaa man taghaa.
37.as for him who has been rebellious
[02:57.00]
وَاٰثَرَ الْحَيٰوةَ الدُّنْيَا ۙ﴿38﴾
38.Wa aasaral hayaatad dunyaa
38.and preferred the life of this world,
[03:01.00]
فَاِنَّ الْجَحِيْمَ هِىَ الْمَاْوٰىؕ﴿39﴾
39.Fa innal jaheema hiyal maawaa.
39.his refuge will indeed be hell.
[03:05.00]
وَاَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهٖ وَ نَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الْهَوٰىۙ﴿40﴾
40.Wa ammaa man khaafa maqaama Rabbihee wa nahan nafsa 'anil hawaa
40.But as for him who is awed to stand before his Lord and restrains his soul from [following] desires,
[03:14.00]
فَاِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ هِىَ الْمَاْوٰىؕ﴿41﴾
41.Fa innal jannata hiyal maawaa
41.his refuge will indeed be paradise.
[03:20.00]
يَسْئَلُوْنَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ اَيَّانَ مُرْسٰٮهَا ؕ﴿42﴾
42.Yas'aloonaka 'anis saa'ati ayyaana mursaahaa
42.They ask you concerning the Hour, “When will it set in,
[03:26.00]
فِيْمَ اَنْتَ مِنْ ذِكْرٰٮهَاؕ﴿43﴾
43.Feema anta min zikraahaa
43.considering your frequent mention of it?”
[03:31.00]
اِلٰى رَبِّكَ مُنْتَهٰٮهَاؕ﴿44﴾
44.Ilaa Rabbika muntahaa haa
44.Its outcome is with your Lord.
[03:35.00]
اِنَّمَاۤ اَنْتَ مُنْذِرُ مَنْ يَّخْشٰٮهَاؕ﴿45﴾
45.Innamaaa anta munziru maiy yakshaahaa
45.You are only a warner for those who are afraid it.
[03:44.00]
كَاَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوْۤا اِلَّا عَشِيَّةً اَوْ ضُحٰٮهَا۠ ﴿46﴾
46.Ka annahum Yawma yarawnahaa lam yalbasooo illaa 'ashiyyatan aw duhaahaa
46.The day they see it, it shall be as if they had not stayed [in the world] except for an evening or forenoon.
