bismillahir rahmanir raheem.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

[00:00.02]

1.Al haaaqqah

1.The Besieger!

[00:05.00]

2.Mal haaaqqah

2.What is the Besieger?!

[00:10.00]

3.Wa maaa adraaka mal haaaqqah

3.What will show you what is the Besieger?!

[00:19.00]

4.Kazzabat samoodu wa 'Aadum bil qaari'ah

4.Thamudand ‘Ad denied the Cataclysm.

[00:25.00]

5.Fa-ammaa Samoodu fauhlikoo bittaaghiyah

5.As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the Cry.

[00:31.00]

6.Wa ammaa 'Aadun fa uhlikoo bireehin sarsarin 'aatiyah

6.And as for ‘Ad, they were destroyed by a fierce icy gale,

[00:41.00]

7.Sakhkharahaa 'alaihim sab'a la yaalinw wa samaaniyata ayyaamin husooman fataral qawma feehaa sar'aa ka annahum a'jaazu nakhlin khaawiyah

7.which He clamped on them for seven gruelling nights and eight days, so that you could see the people there lying about prostrate as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.

[01:01.00]

8.Fahal taraa lahum mim baaqiyah

8.So do you see any remaining trace of them?

[01:06.00]

9.Wa jaaa'a Firawnu wa man qablahoo wal mu'tafikaatu bilhaati'ah

9.Then Pharaoh and those who were before him, and the towns that were overturned, brought about iniquity.

[01:17.00]

10.Fa'ansaw Rasoola Rabbihim fa akhazahum akhzatar raabiyah

10.They disobeyed the apostle of their Lord, so He seized them with a terrible seizing.

[01:24.00]

11.Innaa lammaa taghal maaa'u hamalnaakum fil jaariyah

11.Indeed when the Flood rose high, We carried you in a floating ark,

[01:33.50]

12.Linaj'alahaa lakum tazki ratanw-wa ta'iyahaa unzununw waa'iyah

12.that We might make it a reminder for you, and that receptive ears might remember it.

[01:45.00]

13.Fa izaa nufikha fis soori nafkhatunw waahidah

13.When the Trumpet is blown with a single blast

[01:51.00]

14.Wa humilatil ardu wal jibaalu fadukkataa dakkatanw waahidah

14.and the earth and the mountains are lifted and levelled with a single levelling,

[02:00.00]

15.Fa yawma'izinw waqa'atil waaqi'ah

15.then, on that day, will the Imminent [Hour] befall

[02:05.00]

16.Wanshaqqatis samaaa'u fahiya yawma 'izinw-waahiyah

16.and the sky will be split open—for it will be frail on that day—

[02:14.00]

17.Wal malaku 'alaaa arjaaa'ihaa; wa yahmilu 'Arsha Rabbika fawqahum yawma'izin samaaniyah

17.with the angels all over it, and the Throne of your Lord will be borne that day by eight [angels].

[02:30.00]

18.Yawma'izin tu'radoona laa takhfaa min kum khaafiyah

18.That day you will be presented [before your Lord]: none of your secrets will remain hidden.

[02:38.00]

19.Fa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo biyameenihee fa yaqoolu haaa'umuq ra'oo kitaabiyah

19.As for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say, ‘Here, take and read my book!

[02:50.00]

20.Innee zannantu annee mulaaqin hisaabiyah

20.Indeed I knew that I will encounter my account [of deeds].’

[02:58.00]

21.Fahuwa fee 'eeshatir raadiyah

21.So he will have a pleasant life,

[03:02.00]

22.Fee jannnatin 'aaliyah

22.in an elevated garden,

[03:06.00]

23.Qutoofuhaa daaniyah

23.whose clusters [of fruits] will be within easy reach.

[03:09.00]

24.Kuloo washraboo haneee'am bimaaa aslaftum fil ayyaamil khaliyah

24.[He will be told]: ‘Enjoy your food and drink, for what you had sent in advance in past days [for your future life].’

[03:21.00]

25.Wa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo bishimaalihee fa yaqoolu yaalaitanee lam oota kitaaabiyah

25.But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he will say, ‘I wish I had not been given my book,

[03:33.00]

26.Wa lam adri maa hisaabiyah

26.nor had I ever known what my account is!

[03:37.00]

27.Yaa laitahaa kaanatil qaadiyah

27.I wish death had been the end of it all!

[03:41.00]

28.Maaa aghnaa 'annee maaliyah

28.My wealth did not avail me.

[03:47.00]

29.Halaka 'annee sultaaniyah

29.My authority has left me.’

[03:52.00]

30.Khuzoohu faghullooh

30.[The angels will be told:] ‘Seize him, and fetter him!

[03:56.50]

31.Summal Jaheema sallooh

31.Then put him into hell.

[04:02.00]

32.Summa fee silsilatin zar'uhaa sab'oona ziraa'an faslukooh

32.Then bind him in a chain, seventy cubits in length.

[04:14.00]

33.Innahoo kaana laa yu'minubillaahil 'Azeem

33.Indeed he had no faith in Allah, the All-supreme,

[04:22.00]

34.wa laa yahuddu 'alaa ta'aamil miskeen

34.and he did not urge the feeding of the needy,

[04:28.00]

35.Falaysa lahul yawma haahunaa hameem

35.so he has no friend here today,

[04:36.00]

36.Wa laa ta'aamun illaa min ghisleen

36.nor any food except pus,

[04:42.00]

37.Laa yaakuluhooo illal khati'oon

37.which no one shall eat except the iniquitous.’

[04:50.00]

38.Falaaa uqsimu bimaa tubsiroon

38.I swear by what you see

[04:57.00]

39.Wa maa laa tubsiroon

39.and what you do not see:

[05:02.00]

40.Innahoo laqawlu Rasoolin kareem

40.it is indeed the speech of a noble apostle

[05:10.00]

41.Wa ma huwa biqawli shaa'ir; qaleelam maa tu'minoon

41.and it is not the speech of a poet. Little is the faith that you have!

[05:18.00]

42.Wa laa biqawli kaahin; qaleelam maa tazakkaroon

42.Nor is it the speech of a soothsayer. Little is the admonition that you take!

[05:27.00]

43.Tanzeelum mir rabbil 'aalameen

43.Gradually sent down from the Lord of all the worlds.

[05:35.00]

44.Wa law taqawwala 'alainaa ba'dal aqaaweel

44.Had he faked any sayings in Our name,

[05:42.00]

45.La-akhaznaa minhu bilyameen

45.We would have surely seized him by the right hand

[05:47.00]

46.Summa laqata'naa minhul wateen

46.and then cut off his aorta,

[05:54.00]

47.Famaa minkum min ahadin'anhu haajizeen

47.and none of you could have held Us off from him.

[06:02.00]

48.Wa innahoo latazkiratul lilmuttaqeen

48.Indeed it is a reminder for the Godwary.

[06:09.00]

49.Wa inna lana'lamu anna minkum mukazzibeen

49.Indeed We know that there are some among you who deny [it].

[06:19.00]

50.Wa innahu lahasratun 'alal kaafireen

50.And indeed it will be a [matter of] regret for the faithless.

[06:26.00]

51.Wa innahoo lahaqqul yaqeen

51.It is indeed certain truth.

[06:33.00]

52.Fasabbih bismi Rabbikal 'Azeem

52.So celebrate the Name of your Lord, the All-supreme.
