1.Noon; walqalami wa maa yasturoon

5.Fasatubsiru wa yubsiroon
5.You will see and they will see,
[00:35.00]
6.Bi ayyikumul maftoon
6.which one of you is crazy.
[00:39.00]
7.Innaa Rabbaka Huwa a'lamu biman dalla 'an sabeelihee wa Huwa a'lamu bilmuhtadeen
7.Indeed your Lord knows best those who stray from His way, and He knows best those who are guided.
[00:52.00]
8.Falaa tuti'il mukazzibeen
8.So do not obey the deniers,
[00:56.50]
9.Waddoo law tudhinu fa-yudhinoon
9.who are eager that you should be flexible, so that they [too] may be flexible [towards you].
[01:02.00]
10.Wa laa tuti' kulla hallaa fim maheen
10.And do not obey any vile swearer,
[01:08.00]
11.Hammaazim mash shaaa'im binameem
11.scandal-monger, talebearer,
[01:18.00]

12.Mannaa'il lilkhairi mu'tadin aseem
12.hinderer of all good, sinful transgressor,
[01:25.00]
13.'Utullim ba'da zaalika zaneem
13.callous and, on top of that, baseborn
[01:32.00]
14.An kaana zaa maalinw-wa baneen
14.[who behaves in such a manner only] because he has wealth and children.
[01:40.00]
15.Izaa tutlaa 'alaihi aayaatunaa qaala asaateerul awwaleen
15.When Our signs are recited to him, he says, ‘Myths of the ancients!’

16.Sanasimuhoo 'alal khurtoom
16.Soon We shall brand him on his snout.
[01:54.00]
17.Innaa balawnaahum kamaa balawnaaa As-haabal jannati iz 'aqsamoo la-yasri munnahaa musbiheen
17.Indeed we have tested them just as We tested the People of the Garden when they vowed they would gather its fruit at dawn,
[02:10.00]
18.Wa laa yastasnoon
18.and they did not make any exception.
[02:14.00]
19.Fataafa 'alaihaa taaa'i fum mir rabbika wa hum naaa'imoon
19.Then, a visitation from your Lord visited it while they were asleep.

20.Fa asbahat kassareem
20.So, by dawn it was like a harvested field.
[02:30.00]
21.Fatanaadaw musbiheen
21.At dawn they called out to one another,
[02:34.00]
22.Anighdoo 'alaa harsikum in kuntum saarimeen
22.‘Get off early to your field if you have to gather [the fruits].’
[02:42.00]
23.Fantalaqoo wa hum yatakhaafatoon
23.So off they went, murmuring to one another:
[02:49.00]
24.Al laa yadkhulannahal yawma 'alaikum miskeen
24.‘Today no needy man shall come to you in it.’
[02:53.00]
25.Wa ghadaw 'alaa hardin qaadireen
25.And they set out at early morning, [considering themselves] able to deprive [the poor of its fruit].
[03:04.00]
26.Falammaa ra awhaa qaalooo innaa ladaaalloon
26.But when they saw it, they said, ‘We have indeed lost our way!’
[03:16.00]
27.Bal nahnu mahroomoon
27.‘No, it is we who have been deprived!’
[03:21.00]
28.Qaala awsatuhum alam aqul lakum law laa tusabbihoon
28.The most upright among them said, ‘Did I not tell you, ‘‘Why do you not glorify [Allah]?’’ ’
[03:29.00]
29.Qaaloo subhaana rabbinaaa innaa kunnaa zaalimeen
29.They said, ‘Immaculate is our Lord! We have indeed been wrongdoers!’
[03:40.00]
30.Fa aqbala ba'duhum 'alaa ba'diny yatalaawamoon
30.Then they turned to one another, blaming each other.
[03:47.00]
31.Qaaloo yaa wailanaaa innaa kunnaa taagheen
31.They said, ‘Woe to us! Indeed, we have been rebellious.
[03:57.00]
32.'Asaa rabbunaaa any yubdilanaa khairam minhaaa innaaa ilaa rabbinaa raaghiboon
32.Maybe our Lord will give us a better one in its place. Indeed we earnestly beseech our Lord.’
[04:14.00]
33.Such was their punishment; and the punishment of the Hereafter is surely greater, had they known.
[04:28.00]
34.Inna lilmuttaqeena 'inda rabbihim jannaatin na'eem
34.Indeed for the Godwary there will be gardens of bliss near their Lord.
[04:38.00]
35.Afanaj'alul muslimeena kalmujrimeen
35.Shall We treat those who submit [to Us] as [We treat] the guilty?
[04:44.00]
36.Maa lakum kaifa tahhkumoon
36.What is the matter with you? How do you judge!
[04:49.00]
37.Am lakum kitaabun feehi tadrusoon
37.Do you possess a scripture in which you read
[04:56.00]
38.Inna lakum feehi lamaa takhaiyaroon
38.that you shall have in it whatever you choose?
[05:02.00]
39.Am lakum aymaanun 'alainaa baalighatun ilaa yawmil qiyaamati inna lakum lamaa tahkumoon
39.Do you have a pledge binding on Us until the Day of Resurrection, that you shall indeed have whatever you decide?
[05:14.00]
40.Salhum ayyuhum bizaa lika za'eem
40.Ask them, which of them will aver [any of] that!
[05:20.00]
41.Am lahum shurakaaa'u falyaatoo bishurakaaa 'ihim in kaanoo saadiqeen
41.Do they have any ‘partners’ [that they claim for Allah]? Then let them produce their partners, if they are truthful.
[05:33.00]
42.Yawma yukshafu 'am saaqinw wa yud'awna ilas sujoodi falaa yastatee'oon
42.The day when the catastrophe occurs and they are summoned to prostrate themselves, they will not be able [to do it].
[05:43.00]
43.Khaashi'atan absaaruhum tarhaquhum zillatunw wa qad kaanoo yud'awna ilassujoodi wa hum saalimoon
43.With a humbled look [in their eyes], they will be overcast by abasement. Certainly, they were summoned to prostrate themselves while they were yet sound.
[05:56.00]
44.Fazarnee wa many yukazzibu bihaazal hadeesi sanastad rijuhum min haisu laa ya'lamoon
44.So leave Me with those who deny this discourse. We will draw them imperceptibly [into ruin], whence they do not know.
[06:10.00]
45.Wa umlee lahum; inna kaidee mateen
45.I will grant them respite, for My devising is indeed sure.
[06:17.00]
46.Am tas'aluhum ajran fahum mim maghramim musqaloon
46.Do you ask them for a reward, so that they are weighed down with debt?
[06:27.00]
47.Am 'indahumul ghaibu fahum yaktuboon
47.Do they possess [access to] the Unseen, so that they write it down?
[06:34.00]
48.Fasbir lihkmi rabbika wa laa takun kasaahibil boot; iz naadaa wa huwa makzoom
48.So submit patiently to the judgement of your Lord, and do not be like the Man of the Fish who called out as he choked with grief.
[06:45.00]
49.Law laaa an tadaara kahoo ni'matum mir rabbihee lanubiza bil'araaa'i wa huwa mazmoom
49.Had it not been for a blessing that came to his rescue from his Lord, he would surely have been cast on the bare shore, being blameworthy.
[07:00.00]
50.Fajtabaahu rabbuhoo faja'alahoo minas saaliheen
50.So his Lord chose him and made him one of the righteous.
[07:07.00]
51.Wa iny-yakaadul lazeena kafaroo la-yuzliqoonaka biabsaarihim lammaa saml'uz-Zikra wa yaqooloona innahoo lamajnoon
51.Indeed the faithless almost devour you with their eyes when they hear this Reminder, and they say, ‘He is indeed crazy.’
[07:23.00]
52.Wa maa huwa illaa zikrul lil'aalameen
52.Yet it is just a reminder for all the nations.
