Before reciting Holy Quran

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[00:00.03]

وَالطُّوْرِۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Wat-Toor

1.By the Mount [Sinai],

 

[00:03.00]

وَكِتٰبٍ مَّسْطُوْرٍۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Wa kitaabim mastoor

2.by the Book inscribed

 

[00:08.00]

فِیْ رَقٍّ مَّنْشُوْرٍۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Fee raqqim manshoor

3.on an unrolled parchment;

 

[00:15.00]

وَالْبَيْتِ الْمَعْمُوْرِۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Wal baitil ma'moor

4.by the House greatly frequented;

 

[00:19.00]

وَالسَّقْفِ الْمَرْفُوْعِۙ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Wassaqfil marfoo'

5.by the vault raised high,

 

[00:24.00]

وَالْبَحْرِ الْمَسْجُوْرِۙ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Wal bahril masjoor

6.by the surging sea:

 

[00:29.00]

اِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لوَاقِعٌ ۙ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Inna 'azaaba Rabbika lawaaqi'

7.indeed your Lord’s punishment will surely befall.

 

[00:33.00]

مَّا لَهٗ مِنْ دَافِعٍۙ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Maa lahoo min daafi'

8.There is none who can avert it.

 

[00:37.00]

يَّوْمَ تَمُوْرُ السَّمَآءُ مَوْرًا ۙ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Yawma tamoorus samaaa'u mawraa

9.On the day when the sky whirls violently,

 

[00:43.00]

وَّتَسِيْرُ الْجِبَالُ سَيْرًا ؕ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Wa taseerul jibaalu sairaa

10.and the mountains move with an awful motion:

 

[00:47.00]

فَوَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَۙ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Fawailuny yawma 'izil lil mukaazzibeen

11.woe to the deniers on that day

 

[00:54.00]

الَّذِيْنَ هُمْ فِیْ خَوْضٍ يَّلْعَبُوْنَ‌ۘ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Allazeena hum fee khawdiny yal'aboon

12.—those who play around in vain talk,

 

[01:02.00]

يَوْمَ يُدَعُّوْنَ اِلٰى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّاؕ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Yawma yuda'-'oona ilaa naari jahannama da'-'aa

13.the day when they will be shoved forcibly toward the fire of hell, [and told:]

 

[01:09.00]

هٰذِهِ النَّارُ الَّتِىْ كُنْتُمْ بِهَا تُكَذِّبُوْنَ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Haazihin naarul latee kuntum bihaa tukazziboon

14.‘This is the Fire which you used to deny!

 

[01:19.00]

اَفَسِحْرٌ هٰذَاۤ اَمْ اَنْتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُوْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Afasihrun haazaaaa am antum laa tubsiroon

15.Is this, then, [also] magic, or is it you who do not perceive?

 

[01:29.00]

اِصْلَوْهَا فَاصْبِرُوْۤا اَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوْا‌ۚ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ‌ؕ اِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Islawhaa fasbirooo aw laa tasbiroo sawaaa'un 'alaikum innamaa tujzawna maa kuntum ta'maloon

16.Enter it, and it will be the same for you whether you are patient or impatient. You are only being requited for what you used to do.’

 

[01:48.00]

اِنَّ الْمُتَّقِيْنَ فِیْ جَنّٰتٍ وَّنَعِيْمٍۙ‏﴿17﴾‏

17.Innal muttaqeena fee jannaatinw wa na'eem

17.Indeed the Godwary will be amid gardens and bliss,

 

[01:58.00]

فٰكِهِيْنَ بِمَاۤ اٰتٰٮهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ‌ۚ وَوَقٰٮهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيْمِ‏﴿18﴾‏

18.Faakiheena bimaaa aataahum rabbuhum wa waqaahum rabbuhum 'azaabal jaheem

18.rejoicing because of what their Lord has given them, and that their Lord has saved them from the punishment of hell.

 

[02:11.00]

كُلُوْا وَاشْرَبُوْا هَنِٓيْئًا ۢ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَۙ‏﴿19﴾‏

19.Kuloo washraboo haneee 'am bimaa kuntum ta'maloon

19.[They will be told:] ‘Enjoy your food and drink, [as a reward] for what you used to do.’

 

[02:22.00]

مُتَّكِئِيْنَ عَلٰى سُرُرٍ مَّصْفُوْفَةٍ‌ ۚ وَزَوَّجْنٰهُمْ بِحُوْرٍ عِيْنٍ‏﴿20﴾‏

20.Muttaki'eena 'alaa sururim masfoofatinw wa zawwaj naahum bihoorin 'een

20.They will be reclining on arrayed couches, and We will wed them to big-eyed houris.

 

[02:34.00]

وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَاتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُمْ بِاِيْمَانٍ اَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَاۤ اَلَتْنٰهُمْ مِّنْ عَمَلِهِمْ مِّنْ شَىْءٍ‌ؕ كُلُّ امْرِیءٍۢ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِيْنٌ‏﴿21﴾‏

21.Wallazeena aamanoo wattaba'at hum zurriyyatuhum bieemaanin alhaqnaa bihim zurriyyatahum wa maaa alatnaahum min 'amalihim min shai'; kullum ri'im bimaa kasaba raheen

21.The faithful and their descendants who followed them in faith—We will make their descendants join them, and We will not stint anything from [the reward of] their deeds. Every person is hostage to what he has earned.

 

[03:03.00]

وَاَمْدَدْنٰهُمْ بِفَاكِهَةٍ وَّلَحْمٍ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُوْنَ‏﴿22﴾‏

22.Wa amdadnaahum bifaa kihatinw wa lahmim mimmaa yashtahoon

22.We will provide them with fruits and meat, such as they desire.

 

[03:14.00]

يَتَنَازَعُوْنَ فِيْهَا كَاْسًا لَّا لَغْوٌ فِيْهَا وَلَا تَاْثِيْمٌ‏﴿23﴾‏

23.Yatanaaza'oona feehaa kaasal laa laghwun feehaa wa laa taaseem

23.There they will pass from hand to hand a cup wherein there will be neither any vain talk nor sinful speech.

 

[03:24.00]

وَيَطُوْفُ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌ لَّهُمْ كَاَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَّكْنُوْنٌ‏﴿24﴾‏

24.Wa yatoofu 'alaihim ghilmaanul lahum ka annahum lu'lu'um maknoon

24.They will be waited upon by their youths, as if they were guarded pearls.

 

[03:36.00]

وَاَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلٰى بَعْضٍ يَّتَسَآءَلُوْنَ‏﴿25﴾‏

25.Wa aqbala ba'duhum 'alaa ba'diny yatasaaa'aloon

25.They will turn to one another, questioning each other.

 

[03:46.00]

قَالُوْۤا اِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِیْۤ اَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِيْنَ‏﴿26﴾‏

26.Qaalooo innaa kunnaa qablu feee ahlinaa mushfiqeen

26.They will say, ‘Indeed, aforetime, we used to be apprehensive about our families.

 

[03:58.00]

فَمَنَّ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقٰٮنَا عَذَابَ السَّمُوْمِ‏﴿27﴾‏

27.Famannnal laahu 'alainaa wa waqaanaa 'azaabas samoom

27.But Allah showed us favour and He saved us from the punishment of the [infernal] miasma.

 

[04:08.00]

اِنَّا كُنَّا مِنْ قَبْلُ نَدْعُوْهُ‌ ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الْبَرُّ الرَّحِيْمُ۠ ‏‏﴿28﴾‏

28.Innaa kunnaa min qablu nad'oohu innahoo huwal barrur raheem

28.We used to supplicate Him aforetime. Indeed He is the All-benign, the All-merciful.’

 

[04:23.00]

فَذَكِّرْ فَمَاۤ اَنْتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَّلَا مَجْنُوْنٍؕ‏﴿29﴾‏

29.Fazakkir famaaa anta bini'mati rabbika bikaahininw wa laa majnoon

29.So admonish. By your Lord’s blessing, you are not a soothsayer, nor mad.

 

[04:35.00]

اَمْ يَقُوْلُوْنَ شَاعِرٌ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهٖ رَيْبَ الْمَنُوْنِ‏﴿30﴾‏

30.Am yaqooloona shaa'irun natarabbasu bihee raibal manoon

30.Do they say, ‘[He is] a poet, for whom we await a fatal accident’?

 

[04:44.00]

قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوْا فَاِنِّىْ مَعَكُمْ مِّنَ الْمُتَرَبِّصِيْنَ ؕ‏﴿31﴾‏

31.Qul tarabbasoo fa innee ma'akum minal mutarabbiseen

31.Say, ‘Wait! I too am waiting along with you.’

 

[04:54.00]

اَمْ تَاْمُرُهُمْ اَحْلَامُهُمْ بِهٰذَآ‌ اَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُوْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿32﴾‏

32.Am taamuruhum ahlaamuhum bihaazaaa am hum qawmun taaghoon

32.Is it their intellect which prompts them to [say] this, or are they a rebellious lot?

 

[05:06.00]

اَمْ يَقُوْلُوْنَ تَقَوَّلَهٗ‌ ۚ بَلْ لَّا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ‌ ۚ‏﴿33﴾‏

33.Am yaqooloona taqawwalah; bal laa yu'minoon

33.Do they say, ‘He has improvised it [himself]?’ Rather, they have no faith!

 

[05:14.00]

فَلْيَاْتُوْا بِحَدِيْثٍ مِّثْلِهٖۤ اِنْ كَانُوْا صٰدِقِيْنَؕ‏﴿34﴾‏

34.Falyaatoo bihadeesim misliheee in kaanoo saadiqeen

34.Let them bring a discourse like it, if they are truthful.

 

[05:25.00]

اَمْ خُلِقُوْا مِنْ غَيْرِ شَىْءٍ اَمْ هُمُ الْخٰلِقُوْنَؕ‏﴿35﴾‏

35.Am khuliqoo min ghairi shai'in am humul khaaliqoon

35.Were they created from nothing? Or are they [their own] creators?

 

[05:33.00]

اَمْ خَلَقُوا السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ‌ۚ بَلْ لَّا يُوْقِنُوْنَؕ‏﴿36﴾‏

36.Am khalaqus samaawaati wal ard; bal laa yooqinoon

36.Did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they have no certainty!

 

[05:41.00]

اَمْ عِنْدَهُمْ خَزَآئِنُ رَبِّكَ اَمْ هُمُ الْمُصَۜيْطِرُوْنَؕ‏﴿37﴾‏

37.Am'indahum khazaaa'inu rabbika am humul musaitiroon

37.Do they possess the treasuries of your Lord? Or do they control [them]?

 

[05:52.00]

اَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَّسْتَمِعُوْنَ فِيْهِ‌ ۚ فَلْيَاْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُمْ بِسُلْطٰنٍ مُّبِيْنٍؕ‏﴿38﴾‏

38.Am lahum sullamuny yastami'oona feehi falyaati mustami'uhum bisultaanim Mubeen

38.Do they have a ladder [leading up to heaven] whereby they eavesdrop? If so, let their eavesdropper produce a manifest authority.

 

[06:08.00]

اَمْ لَهُ الْبَنٰتُ وَلَكُمُ الْبَنُوْنَؕ‏﴿39﴾‏

39.Am lahul banaatu wa lakumul banoon

39.Does He have daughters while you have sons?

 

[06:14.00]

اَمْ تَسْئَلُهُمْ اَجْرًا فَهُمْ مِّنْ مَّغْرَمٍ مُّثْقَلُوْنَؕ‏﴿40﴾‏

40.Am tas'aluhum ajran fahum mim maghramim musqaloon

40.Do you ask them for a reward, so that they are [wary of] being weighed down with debt?

 

[06:25.00]

اَمْ عِنْدَهُمُ الْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُوْنَؕ‏﴿41﴾‏

41.Am 'indahumul ghaibu fahum yaktuboon

41.Do they have [access to] the Unseen, which they write down?

 

[06:33.00]

اَمْ يُرِيْدُوْنَ كَيْدًا‌ؕ فَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا هُمُ الْمَكِيْدُوْنَؕ‏﴿42﴾‏

42.Am yureedoona kaidan fallazeena kafaroo humul makeedoon

42.Do they seek to outmaneuver [Allah]? But it is the faithless who are the outmaneuvered ones!

 

[06:43.00]

اَمْ لَهُمْ اِلٰهٌ غَيْرُ اللّٰهِ‌ؕ سُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُوْنَ‏﴿43﴾‏

43.Am lahum ilaahun ghairul laa; subhaanal laahi 'ammaa yushrikoon

43.Do they have any god other than Allah? Clear is Allah of any partners that they may ascribe [to Him]!

 

[06:56.00]

وَاِنْ يَّرَوْا كِسْفًا مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ سَاقِطًا يَّقُوْلُوْا سَحَابٌ مَّرْكُوْمٌ‏﴿44﴾‏

44.Wa iny yaraw kisfam minas samaaa'i saaqitany yaqooloo sahaabum markoom

44.Were they to see a fragment falling from the sky, they would say, ‘A cumulous cloud.’

 

[07:11.00]

فَذَرْهُمْ حَتّٰى يُلٰقُوْا يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِىْ فِيْهِ يُصْعَقُوْنَۙ‏﴿45﴾‏

45.Fazarhum hatta yulaaqoo yawmahumul lazee feehi yus'aqoon

45.So leave them until they encounter the day when they will be thunderstruck,

 

[07:20.00]

يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِىْ عَنْهُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْئًا وَّلَا هُمْ يُنْصَرُوْنَؕ‏﴿46﴾‏

46.Yawma laa yughnee 'anhum kaidumhum shai'anw wa laa hum yunsaroon

46.the day when their guile will not avail them in any way, nor will they be helped.

 

[07:31.00]

وَاِنَّ لِلَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا عَذَابًا دُوْنَ ذٰلِكَ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ‏﴿47﴾‏

47.Wa inna lillazeena zalamoo 'azaaban doona zalika wa laakinna aksarahum laa ya'lamoon

47.Indeed there is a punishment besides that for those who do wrong, but most of them do not know.

 

[07:46.00]

وَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَاِنَّكَ بِاَعْيُنِنَا‌ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِيْنَ تَقُوْمُۙ‏﴿48﴾‏

48.Wasbir lihukmi rabbika fa innaka bi-a'yuninaa wa sabbih bihamdi rabbika heena taqoom

48.So submit patiently to the judgement of your Lord, for indeed you fare before Our eyes. And celebrate the praise of your Lord when you rise [at dawn],

 

[08:00.00]

وَمِنَ الَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَاِدْبَارَ النُّجُوْمِ۠ ‏‏﴿49﴾‏

49.Wa minal laili fasabbihhu wa idbaaran nujoom

49.and also glorify Him during the night and at the receding of the stars.
