[06:22.00]

35.Kullu nafsin zaaa'iqatul mawt; wa nablookum bishsharri walkhairi fitnatanw wa ilainaa turja'oon

35.Every soul shall taste death, and We will test you with good and ill by way of test, and to Us you will be brought back.

[07:52.00]

36.Wa izaa ra aakal lazeena kafarooo iny-yattakhizoonaka illa huzuwaa; ahaazal lazee yazkuru aalihatakum wa hum bi zikrir Rahmaani hum kaafiroon

36.Whenever the faithless see you they only take you in derision: ‘Is this the one who remembers your gods?’ while they remain defiant towards the remembrance of the All-beneficent.

[08:15.00]

38.Wa yaqooloona mataa haazal wa'du in kuntum saadiqeen

38.And they say, ‘When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?’

[08:34.00]

39.If only the faithless knew about the time when they will not be able to keep the Fire off their faces and their backs, nor will they be helped!

[09:02.00]

40.Bal taateehim baghtatan fatabhatuhum falaa yastatee'oona raddahaa wa laa hum yunzaroon

40.Indeed, it will overtake them suddenly, dumbfounding them. So they will neither be able to avert it, nor will they be granted any respite.

[09:16.00]

41.Wa laqadis tuhzi'a bi-Rusulim min qablika fahaaqa billazeena sakhiroo minhum maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon

41.Apostles were certainly derided before you; but those who ridiculed them were besieged by what they had been deriding.

[09:30.00]

42.Qul mai yakla 'ukum billaili wannahaari minar Rahmaan; bal hum 'an zikri Rabbihim mu'ridoon

42.Say, ‘Who can guard you, day and night, against [the punishment of] the All-beneficent [should He want to punish you]?’ Indeed, they are disregardful of their Lord’s remembrance.

[09:38.00]

43.Am lahum aalihatun tamna'ulum min dooninaa; laa yastatee'oona nasra anfusihim wa laa hum minnna yus-haboon

43.Do they have gods besides Us to defend them? Neither can they help themselves, nor can they shield [the idolaters] from Us.

[10:06.00]

44.Bal matta'naa haaa'ulaaa'i wa aabaaa'ahum hattaa taala 'alaihimul 'umur; afalaa yarawna anna naatil arda nanqusuhaa min atraafihaa; afahumul ghaaliboon

44.Indeed, We have provided for them and their fathers until they lived on for long years. Do they not see how We visit the land diminishing it at its edges? Are they the ones who will prevail?

[10:32.00]

45.Qul innamaaa unzirukum bilwahyi; wa laa yasma'us summud du'aaa'a izaa maa yunzaroon

45.Say, ‘I indeed warn you by the means of revelation.’ But the deaf do not hear the call when they are warned.

[10:49.00]

46.Should a whiff of your Lord’s punishment touch them, they will surely say, ‘Woe to us! We have indeed been wrongdoers!’

[11:11.00]

47.Wa nada'ul mawaazeenal qista li Yawmil Qiyaamati falaa tuzlamu nafsun shai'aa; wa in kaana misqaala habbatim min khardalin atainaa bihaa; wa kafaa binaa haasibeen
