بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

الٓرٰ‌ تِلْكَ اٰيٰتُ الْكِتٰبِ الْمُبِيْن ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Alif-Laaam-Raa; tilka Aayaatul Kitaabil Mubeen

1.Aif, Lam, Ra. These are the signs of the Manifest Book.

اِنَّاۤ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ قُرْءٰنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُوْنَ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Innaaa anzalnaahu quraanan 'Arabiyyal la 'allakum ta'qiloon

2.Indeed We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran so that you may exercise your reason.

نَحْنُ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ اَحْسَنَ الْقَصَصِ بِمَاۤ اَوْحَيْنَاۤ اِلَيْكَ هٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنَ ‌ۖ ۗ وَاِنْ كُنْتَ مِنْ قَبْلِهٖ لَمِنَ الْغٰفِلِيْنَ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Nahnu naqussu 'alaika ahsanal qasasi bimaaa awhainaaa ilaika haazal quraana wa in kunta min qablihee laminal ghaafileen

3.We will recount to you the best of narratives in what We have revealed to you of this Quran, and indeed prior to it you were among those who are unaware [of it].

اِذْ قَالَ يُوْسُفُ لِاَبِيْهِ يٰۤاَبَتِ اِنِّىْ رَاَيْتُ اَحَدَ عَشَرَ كَوْكَبًا وَّالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ رَاَيْتُهُمْ لِىْ سٰجِدِيْنَ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Iz qaala Yoosufu li abeehi yaaa abati innee ra aytu ahada 'ashara kawkabanw wash shamsa walqamara ra aytuhum lee saajideen

4.When Joseph said to his father, ‘Father! I saw eleven planets, and the sun and the moon: I saw them prostrating themselves before me,’

 

[01:06.00]

قَالَ يٰبُنَىَّ لَا تَقْصُصْ رُءْيَاكَ عَلٰٓى اِخْوَتِكَ فَيَكِيْدُوْا لَكَ كَيْدًا ؕ اِنَّ الشَّيْطٰنَ لِلْاِنْسَانِ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِيْنٌ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Qaala yaa bunaiya laa taqsus ru'yaaka 'alaaa ikhwatika fayakeedoo laka kaidaa; innash Shaitaana lil insaani 'aduwwum mubeen

5.he said, ‘My son, do not recount your dream to your brothers, lest they should devise schemes against you. Satan is indeed man’s manifest enemy.

 

[01:28.00]

وَكَذٰلِكَ يَجْتَبِيْكَ رَبُّكَ وَيُعَلِّمُكَ مِنْ تَاْوِيْلِ الْاَحَادِيْثِ وَيُتِمُّ نِعْمَتَهٗ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلٰٓى اٰلِ يَعْقُوْبَ كَمَاۤ اَتَمَّهَا عَلٰٓى اَبَوَيْكَ مِنْ قَبْلُ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ وَاِسْحٰقَ‌ ؕ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ عَلِيْمٌ حَكِيْمٌ۠ ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Wa kazaalika yajtabeeka rabbuka wa yu'allimuka min taaweelil ahaadeesi wa yutimmu ni'matahoo 'alaika wa 'alaaa Aali Ya'qooba kamaaa atammahaa 'alaaa abawaika min qablu Ibraaheema wa Ishaaq; inna Rabbaka 'Aleemun hakeem

6.That is how your Lord will choose you, and teach you the interpretation of dreams, and complete His blessing upon you and upon the house of Jacob, just as He completed it earlier for your fathers, Abraham and Isaac. Your Lord is indeed all-knowing and all-wise.’

 

[02:06.00]

لَقَدْ كَانَ فِیْ يُوْسُفَ وَاِخْوَتِهٖۤ اٰيٰتٌ لِّلسَّآئِلِيْنَ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Laqad kaana fee Yoosufa wa ikhwatiheee Aayaatul lissaaa'ileen

7.In Joseph and his brothers there are certainly signs for the seekers.

 

[02:19.00]

اِذْ قَالُوْا لَيُوْسُفُ وَاَخُوْهُ اَحَبُّ اِلٰٓى اَبِيْنَا مِنَّا وَنَحْنُ عُصْبَةٌ ؕ اِنَّ اَبَانَا لَفِیْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيْنِ ‌ۖ ‌ۚ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Iz qaaloo la Yoosufu wa akhoohu ahabbu ilaaa Abeenaa minnaa wa nahnu 'usbah; inna abaanaa lafee dalaalim mubeen

8.When they said, ‘Surely Joseph and his brother are dearer to our father than [the rest of] us, though we are a hardy band. Our father is indeed in manifest error.’

 

[02:39.00]

۟اقْتُلُوْا يُوْسُفَ اَوِ اطْرَحُوْهُ اَرْضًا يَّخْلُ لَكُمْ وَجْهُ اَبِيْكُمْ وَ تَكُوْنُوْا مِنْۢ بَعْدِهٖ قَوْمًا صٰلِحِيْنَ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Uqtuloo Yoosufa awitra hoohu ardany yakhlu lakum wajhu abeekum wa takoonoo mim ba'dihee qawman saaliheen

9.‘Kill Joseph or cast him away into some [distant] land, so that your father’s attention may be exclusively towards you, and thereafter you may become a righteous lot.’

 

[03:01.00]

قَالَ قَآئِلٌ مِّنْهُمْ لَا تَقْتُلُوْا يُوْسُفَ وَاَلْقُوْهُ فِیْ غَيٰبَتِ الْجُبِّ يَلْتَقِطْهُ بَعْضُ السَّيَّارَةِ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ فٰعِلِيْنَ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Qaalaa qaaa'ilum minhum laa taqtuloo Yoosufa wa alqoohu fee ghayaabatil jubbi yaltaqithu badus sai yaarati in kuntum faa 'ileen

10.One of them said, ‘Do not kill Joseph, but cast him into the recess of a well so that some caravan may pick him up, if you are to do [anything].’

 

[03:23.00]

قَالُوْا يٰۤاَبَانَا مَا لَكَ لَا تَاْمَنَّا عَلٰى يُوْسُفَ وَاِنَّا لَهٗ لَنٰصِحُوْنَ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Qaaloo yaaa abaanaa maa laka laa taamannaa 'alaa Yoosufa wa innaa lahoo lanaa sihoon

11.They said, ‘Father! Why is it that you do not trust us with Joseph? We are indeed his well-wishers.

 

[03:39.00]

اَرْسِلْهُ مَعَنَا غَدًا يَّرْتَعْ وَيَلْعَبْ وَاِنَّا لَهٗ لَحٰفِظُوْنَ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Arilhu ma'anaa ghadany yarta'wa yal'ab wa innaa lahoo lahaafizoon

12.Let him go with us tomorrow so that he may eat lots of fruits and play, and we will indeed take [good] care of him.’

 

[03:51.00]

قَالَ اِنِّىْ لَيَحْزُنُنِىْ اَنْ تَذْهَبُوْا بِهٖ وَاَخَافُ اَنْ يَّاْكُلَهُ الذِّئْبُ وَاَنْتُمْ عَنْهُ غٰفِلُوْنَ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Qaala innee la yahzununeee an tazhaboo bihee wa akhaafu anyyaakulahuz zi'bu wa antum 'anhu ghaafiloon

13.He said, ‘It really upsets me that you should take him away, and I fear the wolf may eat him while you are oblivious of him.’

 

[04:09.00]

قَالُوْا لَئِنْ اَكَلَهُ الذِّئْبُ وَنَحْنُ عُصْبَةٌ اِنَّاۤ اِذًا لَّخٰسِرُوْنَ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Qaaloo la in akalahuzzi'bu wa nahnu 'usbatun innaaa izal lakhaasiroon

14.They said, ‘Should the wolf eat him while we are a hardy band, then we will indeed be losers!’

 

[04:22.00]

فَلَمَّا ذَهَبُوْا بِهٖ وَاَجْمَعُوْۤا اَنْ يَّجْعَلُوْهُ فِیْ غَيٰبَتِ الْجُبِّ‌ۚ وَاَوْحَيْنَاۤ اِلَيْهِ لَتُنَبِّئَنَّهُمْ بِاَمْرِهِمْ هٰذَا وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Falammaa zahaboo bihee wa ajma'ooo anyyaj'aloohu fee ghayaabatil jubb; wa awyainaaa ilaihi latunabbi 'annahum bi amrihim haaza wa hum laa yash'uroon

15.So when they took him away and conspired to put him into the recess of a well, We revealed to him, ‘[A day will come when] you will surely inform them about this affair of theirs while they are not aware [of your identity].’

 

[04:48.00]

وَجَآءُوْۤ اَبَاهُمْ عِشَآءً يَّبْكُوْنَؕ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Wa jaaa'ooo abaahum 'ishaaa 'any yabkoon

16.In the evening, they came weeping to their father.

 

[05:01.00]

‌قَالُوْا يٰۤاَبَانَاۤ اِنَّا ذَهَبْنَا نَسْتَبِقُ وَتَرَكْنَا يُوْسُفَ عِنْدَ مَتَاعِنَا فَاَكَلَهُ الذِّئْبُ‌ۚ وَمَاۤ اَنْتَ بِمُؤْمِنٍ لَّنَا وَلَوْ كُنَّا صٰدِقِيْنَ‏﴿17﴾‏

17.Qaaloo yaaa abaanaaa innaa zahabnaa nastabiqu wa taraknaa Yoosufa 'inda mataa'inaa fa akhalahuz zi'b, wa maaa anta bimu'minil lanaa wa law kunnaa saadiqeen

17.They said, ‘Father! We had gone racing and left Joseph with our things, whereat the wolf ate him. But you will not believe us even if we spoke truly.’

 

[05:32.00]

وَجَآءُوْ عَلٰى قَمِيْصِهٖ بِدَمٍ كَذِبٍ‌ؕ قَالَ بَلْ سَوَّلَتْ لَكُمْ اَنْفُسُكُمْ اَمْرًا‌ؕ فَصَبْرٌ جَمِيْلٌ‌ؕ وَاللّٰهُ الْمُسْتَعَانُ عَلٰى مَا تَصِفُوْنَ‏﴿18﴾‏

18.Wa jaaa'oo 'alaa qamee shihee bidamin kazi' qaala bal sawwalat lakum anfusukum amraa; fasabrun jameel; wallaahul musta'aanu 'alaa man tasifoon

18.And they produced sham blood on his shirt. He said, ‘No, your souls have made a matter seem decorous to you. Yet patience is graceful, and Allah is my resort against what you allege.’

 

[05:58.00]

وَجَآءَتْ سَيَّارَةٌ فَاَرْسَلُوْا وَارِدَهُمْ فَاَدْلٰى دَلْوَهٗ‌ ؕ قَالَ يٰبُشْرٰى هٰذَا غُلٰمٌ‌ ؕ وَاَسَرُّوْهُ بِضَاعَةً  ‌ؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَلِيْمٌۢ بِمَا يَعْمَلُوْنَ‏﴿19﴾‏

19.Wa jaaa'at saiyaaratun fa-arsaloo waaridahum fa adlaa dalwah; qaala yaa bushraa haaza ghulaam; wa asarroohu bi-daa'ah; wallaahu 'aleemum bimaa ya'maloon

19.There came a caravan, and they sent their water-drawer, who let down his bucket. ‘Good news!’ he said. ‘This is a young boy!’ So they hid him as [a piece of] merchandise, and Allah knew best what they were doing.

 

[06:24.00]

وَشَرَوْهُ بِثَمَنٍۢ بَخْسٍ دَرَاهِمَ مَعْدُوْدَةٍ‌ ۚ وَكَانُوْا فِيْهِ مِنَ الزّٰهِدِيْنَ۠ ‏﴿20﴾‏

20.Wa sharawhu bisamanim bakhsin daraahima ma'doo datinw wa kaanoo feehi minaz zaahideen

20.And they sold him for a cheap price, a few dirhams, for they set small store by him.

 

[06:38.00]

وَقَالَ الَّذِى اشْتَرٰٮهُ مِنْ مِّصْرَ لِامْرَاَتِهٖۤ اَكْرِمِىْ مَثْوٰٮهُ عَسٰٓى اَنْ يَّنْفَعَنَاۤ اَوْ نَتَّخِذَهٗ وَلَدًا‌ ؕ وَكَذٰلِكَ مَكَّنَّا لِيُوْسُفَ فِى الْاَرْضِؗ وَلِنُعَلِّمَهٗ مِنْ تَاْوِيْلِ الْاَحَادِيْثِ‌ؕ وَاللّٰهُ غَالِبٌ عَلٰٓى اَمْرِهٖ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ‏﴿21﴾‏

21.Wa qaalal lazish taraahu mim Misra limra atiheee akrimee maswaahu 'asaaa any-yanfa'anaaa aw nattakhizahoo waladaa; wa kazaalika mak-kannaa li-Yoosufa fil ardi wa linu'allimahoo min taaweelil ahaadees; wallaahu ghaalibun 'alaaa amrihee wa laakinna aksaran naasi laa ya'lamoon

21.The man from Egypt who had bought him said to his wife, ‘Give him an honourable place [in the household]. Maybe he will be useful to us, or we may adopt him as a son.’ Thus We established Joseph in the land and that We might teach him the interpretation of dreams. Allah has [full] command of His affairs, but most people do not know.

 

[07:28.00]

وَلَمَّا بَلَغَ اَشُدَّهٗۤ اٰتَيْنٰهُ حُكْمًا وَّعِلْمًا‌ ؕ وَكَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِى الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ‏﴿22﴾‏

22.Wa lammaa balagha ashuddahooo aatainaahu bukmanw wa 'ilmaa; wa kazaa lika najzil muhsineen

22.When he came of age, We gave him judgement and [sacred] knowledge, and thus do We reward the virtuous.

 

[07:44.00]

وَرَاوَدَتْهُ الَّتِىْ هُوَ فِیْ بَيْتِهَا عَنْ نَّفْسِهٖ وَغَلَّقَتِ الْاَبْوَابَ وَقَالَتْ هَيْتَ لَكَ‌ؕ قَالَ مَعَاذَ اللّٰهِ‌ اِنَّهٗ رَبِّىْۤ اَحْسَنَ مَثْوَاىَ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ لَا يُفْلِحُ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ‏﴿23﴾‏

23.Wa raawadat hul latee huwa fee baitihaa 'an nafsihee wa ghallaqatil abwaaba wa qaalat haita lak; qaala ma'aazal laahi innahoo rabbeee ahsana maswaay; innahoo laa yuflihuz-zaalimoon

23.The woman in whose house he was, solicited him. She closed the doors and said, ‘Come!!’ He said, ‘God forbid! Indeed He is my Lord; He has given me a good abode. Indeed the wrongdoers are not felicitous.’

 

[08:15.00]

وَلَقَدْ هَمَّتْ بِهٖ‌ۚ وَهَمَّ بِهَا‌ لَوْلَاۤ اَنْ رَّاٰ بُرْهَانَ رَبِّهٖ‌ؕ كَذٰلِكَ لِنَصْرِفَ عَنْهُ السُّۤوْءَ وَالْفَحْشَآءَ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُخْلَصِيْنَ‏﴿24﴾‏

24.Wa laqad hammat bihee wa hamma bihaa law laaa ar ra-aa burhaana rabbih;; kazaalika linasrifa 'anhu sooo'a walfa hshaaa'; innahoo min 'ibaadi nal mukhlaseen

24.She certainly made for him; and he would have made for her [too] had he not beheld the proof of his Lord. So it was, that We might turn away from him all evil and indecency. He was

 

[08:43.00]

وَاسْتَبَقَا الْبَابَ وَقَدَّتْ قَمِيْصَهٗ مِنْ دُبُرٍ وَّاَلْفَيَا سَيِّدَهَا لَدَا الْبَابِ‌ؕ قَالَتْ مَا جَزَآءُ مَنْ اَرَادَ بِاَهْلِكَ سُوْۤءًا اِلَّاۤ اَنْ يُّسْجَنَ اَوْ عَذَابٌ اَلِيْمٌ‏﴿25﴾‏

25.Wastabaqal baaba wa qaddat qameesahoo min dubu rinw wa alfayaa saiyidahaa ladal baab; qaalat maa jazaaa'u man araada bi ahlika sooo'an illaaa any-yusjana aw azaabun aleem

25.They raced to the door, and she tore his shirt from behind, and they ran into her husband at the door. She said, ‘What is to be the requital of him who has evil intentions for your wife except imprisonment or a painful punishment?’indeed one of Our dedicated servants.

 

[09:13.00]

قَالَ هِىَ رَاوَدَتْنِىْ عَنْ نَّفْسِىْ‌ وَشَهِدَ شَاهِدٌ مِّنْ اَهْلِهَا‌ۚ اِنْ كَانَ قَمِيْصُهٗ قُدَّ مِنْ قُبُلٍ فَصَدَقَتْ وَهُوَ مِنَ الْكٰذِبِيْنَ‏﴿26﴾‏

26.Qaala hiya raawadatnee 'an nafsee wa shahida shaahidum min ahlihaa in kaana qameesuhoo qudda min qubulin fasadaqat wa huwa minal kaazibeen

26.He said, ‘It was she who solicited me.’ A witness of her own household testified [thus]: ‘If his shirt is torn from the front, she tells the truth and he lies.

 

[09:37.00]

وَاِنْ كَانَ قَمِيْصُهٗ قُدَّ مِنْ دُبُرٍ فَكَذَبَتْ وَهُوَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيْنَ‏﴿27﴾‏

27.Wa in kaana qameesuhoo qudda min duburin fakazabat wa huwa minas saadiqeen

27.But if his shirt is torn from behind, then she lies and he tells the truth.’

 

[09:49.00]

فَلَمَّا رَاٰ قَمِيْصَهٗ قُدَّ مِنْ دُبُرٍ قَالَ اِنَّهٗ مِنْ كَيْدِكُنَّ‌ؕ اِنَّ كَيْدَكُنَّ عَظِيْمٌ‏﴿28﴾‏

28.Falammaa ra-aa qamee sahoo qudda min duburin qaala innahoo min kaidikunna inna kaidakunna 'azeem

28.So when he saw that his shirt was torn from behind, he said, ‘This is [a case] of you women’s guile! Your guile is indeed great!

 

[10:09.00]

يُوْسُفُ اَعْرِضْ عَنْ هٰذَا وَاسْتَغْفِرِىْ لِذَنْۢبِكِ ۖ ‌ۚ اِنَّكِ كُنْتِ مِنَ الْخٰطِٮئِيْنَ۠ ‏﴿29﴾‏

29.Yoosofu a'rid 'an haaza wastaghfiree lizambiki innaki kunti minal khaati'een

29.Joseph, let this matter alone, and you, woman, plead for forgiveness for your sin, for you have indeed been erring.’

 

[10:23.00]

وَقَالَ نِسْوَةٌ فِى الْمَدِيْنَةِ امْرَاَتُ الْعَزِيْزِ تُرَاوِدُ فَتٰٮهَا عَنْ نَّفْسِهٖ‌ۚ قَدْ شَغَفَهَا حُبًّا‌ ؕ اِنَّا لَنَرٰٮهَا فِیْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيْنٍ‏﴿30﴾‏

30.Wa qaala niswatun filma deenatim ra atul'Azeezi turaawidu fataahaa 'an nafsihee qad shaghafahaa bubbaa; innaa lana raahaa fee dalaalim mubeen

30.Some of the townswomen said, ‘The chieftain’s wife has solicited her slave boy! He has captivated her love. Indeed we see her to be in manifest error.’

 

[10:45.00]

فَلَمَّا سَمِعَتْ بِمَكْرِهِنَّ اَرْسَلَتْ اِلَيْهِنَّ وَاَعْتَدَتْ لَهُنَّ مُتَّكَاً وَّاٰتَتْ كُلَّ وَاحِدَةٍ مِّنْهُنَّ سِكِّيْنًا وَّقَالَتِ اخْرُجْ عَلَيْهِنَّ ‌ۚ فَلَمَّا رَاَيْنَهٗۤ اَكْبَرْنَهٗ وَقَطَّعْنَ اَيْدِيَهُنَّؗ وَقُلْنَ حَاشَ لِلّٰهِ مَا هٰذَا بَشَرًا ؕ اِنْ هٰذَاۤ اِلَّا مَلَكٌ كَرِيْمٌ‏﴿31﴾‏

31.Falammaa sami'at bimak rihinna arsalat ilaihinna wa a'tadat lahunna muttaka anw wa aatat kulla waahidatim min hunna sikkeenanw wa qaala tikh ruj 'alaihinna falammaa ra aynahooo akbarnahoo wa qatta'na aydiyahunna wa qulna haasha lillaahi maa haaza basharaa; in haazaaa illaa malakun kareem

31.When she heard of their machinations, she sent for them and arranged a repast, and gave each of them a knife, and said [to Joseph], ‘Come out before them.’ So when they saw him, they marvelled at him and cut their hands [absent-mindedly], and they said, ‘Good heavens! This is not a human being! This is but a noble angel!’

 

[11:30.00]

قَالَتْ فَذٰلِكُنَّ الَّذِىْ لُمْتُنَّنِىْ فِيْهِ‌ؕ وَ لَقَدْ رَاوَدْتُّهٗ عَنْ نَّفْسِهٖ فَاسْتَعْصَمَ‌ؕ وَلَئِنْ لَّمْ يَفْعَلْ مَاۤ اٰمُرُهٗ لَيُسْجَنَنَّ وَلَيَكُوْنًا مِّنَ الصّٰغِرِيْنَ‏﴿32﴾‏

32.Qaalat fazaalikunnal lazee lumtunnanee feeh; wa laqad raawattuhoo 'an nafsihee fasta'sam; wa la'il lam yaf'al maaa aamuruhoo la yusjananna wa la yakoonam minas saaghireen

32.She said, ‘He is the one on whose account you blamed me. Certainly, I did solicit him, but he was continent, and if he does not do what I bid him, surely he shall be imprisoned and humbled.’

 

[12:00.00]

قَالَ رَبِّ السِّجْنُ اَحَبُّ اِلَىَّ مِمَّا يَدْعُوْنَنِىْۤ اِلَيْهِ‌ۚ وَاِلَّا تَصْرِفْ عَنِّىْ كَيْدَهُنَّ اَصْبُ اِلَيْهِنَّ وَاَكُنْ مِّنَ الْجٰهِلِيْنَ‏﴿33﴾‏

33.Qaala rabbis sijnu ahabbu ilaiya mimma yad'oo naneee 'ilaihi wa illaa tasrif 'annee kaidahunna asbu ilaihinna wa akum minal jaahileen

33.He said, ‘My Lord! The prison is dearer to me than to what they invite me. If You do not turn away their schemes from me, I will incline towards them and become one of the senseless.’

 

[12:23.00]

فَاسْتَجَابَ لَهٗ رَبُّهٗ فَصَرَفَ عَنْهُ كَيْدَهُنَّ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ‏﴿34﴾‏

34.Fastajaaba lahoo rabbuhoo fasarafa 'anhu kaidahunn; innahoo Huswas_Samee'ul 'Aleem

34.So his Lord answered him and turned away their stratagems from him. Indeed, He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing.

 

[12:38.00]

ثُمَّ بَدَا لَهُمْ مِّنْۢ بَعْدِ مَا رَاَوُا الْاٰيٰتِ لَيَسْجُنُنَّهٗ حَتّٰى حِيْنٍ۠ ‏﴿35﴾‏

35.Summa badaa lahum mim ba'di maa ra-awul Aayaati layasjununnahoo hatta heen

35.Then it appeared to them, after they had seen all the signs [of his innocence], that they should confine him for some time.

 

[12:52.00]

وَدَخَلَ مَعَهُ السِّجْنَ فَتَيٰنِ‌ؕ قَالَ اَحَدُهُمَاۤ اِنِّىْۤ اَرٰٮنِىْۤ اَعْصِرُ خَمْرًا‌ ۚ وَقَالَ الْاٰخَرُ اِنِّىْۤ اَرٰٮنِىْۤ اَحْمِلُ فَوْقَ رَاْسِىْ خُبْزًا تَاْكُلُ الطَّيْرُ مِنْهُ‌ ؕ نَبِّئْنَا بِتَاْوِيْلِهٖ ۚ اِنَّا نَرٰٮكَ مِنَ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ‏﴿36﴾‏

36.Wa dakhala ma'ahussijna fata yaan; qaala ahaduhumaaa inneee araaneee a'siru khamranw wa qaalal aakharu inneee khubzan taakulut tairu minh; nabbi 'naa bitaaweelihee innaa naraaka minal muhsineen

36.There entered the prison two youths along with him. One of them said, ‘I dreamt that I am pressing grapes.’ The other said, ‘I dreamt that I am carrying bread on my head from which the birds are eating.’ ‘Inform us of its interpretation,’ [they said], ‘for indeed we see you to be a virtuous man.’

 

[13:36.00]

قَالَ لَا يَاْتِيْكُمَا طَعَامٌ تُرْزَقٰنِهٖۤ اِلَّا نَبَّاْتُكُمَا بِتَاْوِيْلِهٖ قَبْلَ اَنْ يَّاْتِيَكُمَا‌ ؕ ذٰ لِكُمَا مِمَّا عَلَّمَنِىْ رَبِّىْ ؕ اِنِّىْ تَرَكْتُ مِلَّةَ قَوْمٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَهُمْ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ هُمْ كٰفِرُوْنَ‏﴿37﴾‏

37.Qaala laa yaateekumaa ta'aamun turzaqaaniheee illaa nabbaatukumaa bitaaweelihee qabla any yaatiyakumaa; zaali kumaa mimmaa 'allamanee rabbee; innee taraktu millata qawmil laa yu'minoona billaahi wahum bil aakhirati hum kaafiroon

37.He said, ‘Before the meals you are served come to you I will inform you of its interpretation. That is among things my Lord has taught me. Indeed, I renounce the creed of the people who have no faith in Allah and who [also] disbelieve in the Hereafter.

 

[14:13.00]

وَاتَّبَعْتُ مِلَّةَ اٰبَآءِىْۤ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ وَاِسْحٰقَ وَيَعْقُوْبَ‌ؕ مَا كَانَ لَنَاۤ اَنْ نُّشْرِكَ بِاللّٰهِ مِنْ شَىْءٍ‌ؕ ذٰلِكَ مِنْ فَضْلِ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى النَّاسِ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَشْكُرُوْنَ‏﴿38﴾‏

38.Wattab'tu millata aabaaa'eee Ibraaheema wa Ishaaqa wa Ya'qoob; maa kaana lanaaa an nushrika billaahi min shai' zaalikamin fadlil laahi 'alainaa wa 'alan naasi wa laakinna aksaran naasi laa yashkuroon

38.I follow the creed of my fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It is not for us to ascribe any partner to Allah. That is by virtue of Allah’s grace upon us and upon all mankind, but most people do not give thanks.

 

[14:53.00]

يٰصَاحِبَىِ السِّجْنِ ءَاَرْبَابٌ مُّتَفَرِّقُوْنَ خَيْرٌ اَمِ اللّٰهُ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُؕ‏﴿39﴾‏

39.Yaa saahibayis sijni 'a-arbaabum mutafarriqoona khayrun amil laahul waahidul qahhaar

39.O my prison mates! Are different masters better, or Allah, the One, the All-paramount?

 

[15:07.00]

مَا تَعْبُدُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهٖۤ اِلَّاۤ اَسْمَآءً سَمَّيْتُمُوْهَاۤ اَنْتُمْ وَ اٰبَآؤُكُمْ مَّاۤ اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ بِهَا مِنْ سُلْطٰنٍ‌ؕ اِنِ الْحُكْمُ اِلَّا لِلّٰهِ‌ؕ اَمَرَ اَلَّا تَعْبُدُوْۤا اِلَّاۤ اِيَّاهُ‌ؕ ذٰلِكَ الدِّيْنُ الْقَيِّمُ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ‏﴿40﴾‏

40.Maa ta'budoona min doonihee illaaa asmaaa'an sam maitumoohaaa antum wa aabaaa'ukum maaa anzalal laahu bihaa min sultan; inilhukmu illaa lillaah; amara allaa ta'budooo illaaa iyyaah; zaalikad deenul qaiyimu wa laakinna aksaran naasi laa ya'lamoon

40.You do not worship besides Him but [mere] names that you and your fathers have coined, for which Allah has not sent down any authority. Sovereignty belongs only to Allah. He has commanded you to worship none except Him. That is the upright religion, but most people do not know.

 

[16:09.00]

يٰصَاحِبَىِ السِّجْنِ اَمَّاۤ اَحَدُكُمَا فَيَسْقِىْ رَبَّهٗ خَمْرًا‌ۚ وَاَمَّا الْاٰخَرُ فَيُصْلَبُ فَتَاْكُلُ الطَّيْرُ مِنْ رَّاْسِهٖ‌ؕ قُضِىَ الْاَمْرُ الَّذِىْ فِيْهِ تَسْتَفْتِيٰنِؕ‏﴿41﴾‏

41.Yaa saahibayis sijni ammaaa ahadukumaa fa yasqee rabbahoo khamranw wa ammal aakharu fa yuslabu fataakulut tairu mir raasih; qudiyal amrul lazee feehi tastaftiyaan

41.O my prison mates! As for one of you, he will serve wine to his master, and as for the other, he will be crucified and vultures will eat from his head. The matter about which you inquire has

 

[16:34.00]

وَقَالَ لِلَّذِىْ ظَنَّ اَنَّهٗ نَاجٍ مِّنْهُمَا اذْكُرْنِىْ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَؗ فَاَنْسٰٮهُ الشَّيْطٰنُ ذِكْرَ رَبِّهٖ فَلَبِثَ فِى السِّجْنِ بِضْعَ سِنِيْنَ۠ ‏﴿42﴾‏

42.Wa qaala lillazee zanna annahoo najim minhumaz kurnee 'inda rabbika fa-ansaahush Shaitaanu zikra Rabbihee falabisa fis sijni bad'a sineen

42.Then he said to the one whom he knew would be delivered from among the two: ‘Mention me to your master.’ But Satan caused him to forget mentioning [it] to his master. So he remained in the prison for several years.been decided.’

 

[16:57.00]

وَقَالَ الْمَلِكُ اِنِّىْۤ اَرٰى سَبْعَ بَقَرٰتٍ سِمَانٍ يَّاْكُلُهُنَّ سَبْعٌ عِجَافٌ وَّسَبْعَ سُنْۢبُلٰتٍ خُضْرٍ وَّاُخَرَ يٰبِسٰتٍ‌ؕ يٰۤاَيُّهَا الْمَلَاُ اَفْتُوْنِىْ فِیْ رُءْيَاىَ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ لِلرُّءْيَا تَعْبُرُوْنَ‏﴿43﴾‏

43.Wa qaalal maliku inneee araa sab'a baqaraatin simaaniny yaakuluhunna sab'un 'ijaafunw wa sab'a sumbulaatinkhudrinw wa ukhara yaabisaat; yaaa ayuhal mala-u aftoonee fee nu'yaaya in kuntum lirru'yaa ta'buroon

43.[One day] the king said, ‘I saw [in a dream] seven fat cows being devoured by seven lean ones, and seven green ears and [seven] others [that were] dry. O courtiers, give me your opinion about my dream, if you can interpret dreams.’

 

[17:33.00]

قَالُوْۤا اَضْغَاثُ اَحْلَامٍۚ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَاْوِيْلِ الْاَحْلَامِ بِعٰلِمِيْنَ‏﴿44﴾‏

44.Qaalooo adghaasu ahlaa minw wa maa nahnu bitaaweelil ahlaami bi'aalimeen

44.They said, ‘[These are] confused nightmares, and we do not know the interpretation of nightmares.’

 

[17:46.00]

وَقَالَ الَّذِىْ نَجَا مِنْهُمَا وَادَّكَرَ بَعْدَ اُمَّةٍ اَنَا اُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِتَاْوِيْلِهٖ فَاَرْسِلُوْنِ‏﴿45﴾‏

45.Wa qaalal lazee najaa minhumaa waddakara ba'da ummatin ana unabbi'ukum bitalweelihee fa-arsiloon

45.Said the one of the two who had been delivered, remembering [Joseph] after a long time: ‘I will inform you of its interpretation; so let me go [to meet Joseph in the prison].’

 

[18:01.00]

يُوْسُفُ اَيُّهَا الصِّدِّيْقُ ا فْتِنَا فِیْ سَبْعِ بَقَرٰتٍ سِمَانٍ يَّاْكُلُهُنَّ سَبْعٌ عِجَافٌ وَّسَبْعِ سُنْۢبُلٰتٍ خُضْرٍ وَّاُخَرَ يٰبِسٰتٍ ۙ لَّعَلِّىْۤ اَرْجِعُ اِلَى النَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَعْلَمُوْنَ‏﴿46﴾‏

46.Yoosufu ayyuhas siddee qu aftinaa fee sab'i baqaraatin simaaniny yaakuluhunna sab'un 'ijaafunw wa sabi'i sumbulaatin khudrinw wa ukhara yaabisaatil la'alleee arj'u ilan naasi la'allahum ya'lamoon

46.‘Joseph,’ [he said], ‘O truthful one, give us your opinion concerning seven fat cows who are eaten by seven lean ones, and seven green ears and [seven] others dry, that I may return to the people so that they may know [the truth of the matter].’

 

[18:32.00]

قَالَ تَزْرَعُوْنَ سَبْعَ سِنِيْنَ دَاَبًا‌ۚ فَمَا حَصَدْتُّمْ فَذَرُوْهُ فِیْ سُنْۢبُلِهٖۤ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا مِّمَّا تَاْكُلُوْنَ‏﴿47﴾‏

47.Qaala tazra'oona sab'a sineena da aban famaa basattum fazaroohu fee sumbu liheee illaa qaleelam mimmaa taakuloon

47.He said, ‘You will sow for seven consecutive years. Then leave in the ear whatever [grain] you harvest, except a little that you eat.

 

[18:56.00]

ثُمَّ يَاْتِىْ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ ذٰلِكَ سَبْعٌ شِدَادٌ يَّاْكُلْنَ مَا قَدَّمْتُمْ لَهُنَّ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا مِّمَّا تُحْصِنُوْنَ‏﴿48﴾‏

48.Summa yaatee mim ba'di zaalika sab'un shidaaduny yaa kulna maa qaddamtum lahunna illaa qaleelam mimma tuhsinoon

48.Then after that there will come seven hard years which will eat up whatever you have set aside for them—all except a little which you preserve [for seed].

 

[19:19.00]

ثُمَّ يَاْتِىْ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ ذٰلِكَ عَامٌ فِيْهِ يُغَاثُ النَّاسُ وَفِيْهِ يَعْصِرُوْنَ۠ ‏﴿49﴾‏

49.Summa yadtee mim ba'di zaalika 'aamun feehi yughaa sun naasu wa feehi ya'siroon

49.Then after that there will come a year wherein the people will be granted relief and provided with rains therein.

 

[19:34.00]

وَقَالَ الْمَلِكُ ائْتُوْنِىْ بِهٖ‌ۚ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُ الرَّسُوْلُ قَالَ ارْجِعْ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ فَسْئَلْهُ مَا بَالُ النِّسْوَةِ الّٰتِىْ قَطَّعْنَ اَيْدِيَهُنَّ‌ؕ اِنَّ رَبِّىْ بِكَيْدِهِنَّ عَلِيْمٌ‏﴿50﴾‏

50.Wa qaalal maliku'toonee bihee falammaa jaaa'ahur rasoolu qaalar-ji ilaa rabbika fas'alhu maa baalun niswatil laatee qatta'na aydiyahunn; inna Rabbee bikaidihinna 'Aleem

50.The king said, ‘Bring him to me!’ When the messenger came to him, he said, ‘Go back to your master, and ask him about the affair of women who cut their hands. My Lord is indeed well aware of their stratagems.’

 

[20:01.00]

قَالَ مَا خَطْبُكُنَّ اِذْ رَاوَدْتُّنَّ يُوْسُفَ عَنْ نَّفْسِهٖ‌ؕ قُلْنَ حَاشَ لِلّٰهِ مَا عَلِمْنَا عَلَيْهِ مِنْ سُوْۤءٍ‌ ؕ قَالَتِ امْرَاَتُ الْعَزِيْزِ الْئٰنَ حَصْحَصَ الْحَقُّؗ اَنَا رَاوَدْتُّهٗ عَنْ نَّفْسِهٖ وَاِنَّهٗ لَمِنَ الصّٰدِقِيْنَ‏﴿51﴾‏

51.Qaala maa khatbukunna iz raawattunna Yoosufa 'annafsih; qulna haasha lillaahi maa 'alimnaa 'alaihi min sooo'; qaalatim ra atul 'Azeezil 'aana hashasal haqq, ana raawat tuhoo 'an nafsihee wa innahoo laminas saadiqeen

51.The king said, ‘What was your business, women, when you solicited Joseph?’ They said, ‘Heaven be praised! We know of no evil in him.’ The prince’s wife said, ‘Now the truth has come to light! It was I who solicited him, and he is indeed telling the truth.’

 

[20:36.00]

ذٰلِكَ لِيَعْلَمَ اَنِّىْ لَمْ اَخُنْهُ بِالْغَيْبِ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَهْدِىْ كَيْدَ الْخَآئِنِيْنَ‏﴿52﴾‏

52.Zaalika liya'lama annee lam akhunhu bilghaibi wa annal laaha laa yahdee kaidal khaaa'ineen

52.[Joseph said], [‘I initiated] this [inquiry], that he may know that I did not betray him in his absence, and that Allah does not further the schemes of the treacherous.’

 

[20:51.00]

وَمَاۤ اُبَرِّئُ نَفْسِىْ‌ۚ اِنَّ النَّفْسَ لَاَمَّارَةٌۢ بِالسُّوْٓءِ اِلَّا مَا رَحِمَ رَبِّىْ ؕاِنَّ رَبِّىْ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ‏﴿53﴾‏

53.Wa maa ubarri'u nafsee; innan nafsa la ammaaratum bissooo'i illaa maa rahima Rabbee; inna Rabbee Ghafoorur Raheem

53.‘Yet I do not absolve my [own carnal] soul, for the [carnal] soul indeed prompts [men] to evil, except inasmuch as my Lord has mercy. Indeed my Lord is all-forgiving, all-merciful.’

 

[21:16.00]

وَقَالَ الْمَلِكُ ائْتُوْنِىْ بِهٖۤ اَسْتَخْلِصْهُ لِنَفْسِىْ‌ۚ‌ فَلَمَّا كَلَّمَهٗ قَالَ اِنَّكَ الْيَوْمَ لَدَيْنَا مَكِيْنٌ اَمِيْنٌ‏﴿54﴾‏

54.Wa qaalal maliku' toonee biheee astakhlishu linafsee falammaa kallamahoo qaala innakal yawma ladainaa makeenun ameen

54.The king said, ‘Bring him to me, I will make him my favourite.’ Then, when he had spoken with him, he said, ‘Indeed today [onwards] you will be honoured and trustworthy with us.’

 

[21:34.00]

قَالَ اجْعَلْنِىْ عَلٰى خَزَآئِنِ الْاَرْضِ‌ۚ اِنِّىْ حَفِيْظٌ عَلِيْمٌ‏﴿55﴾‏

55.Qaalaj 'alnee 'alaa khazaaa'inil ardi innee hafeezun 'aleem

55.He said, ‘Put me in charge of the country’s granaries. I am indeed fastidious [and]well-informed.’

 

[21:45.00]

وَكَذٰلِكَ مَكَّنَّا لِيُوْسُفَ فِى الْاَرْضِ‌ۚ يَتَبَوَّاُ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ يَشَآءُ‌ ؕ نُصِيْبُ بِرَحْمَتِنَا مَنْ نَّشَآءُ‌ۚ وَلَا نُضِيْعُ اَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ‏﴿56﴾‏

56.Wa kazaalika makkannaa li Yoosufa fil ardi yatabawwa'u minhaa haisu yashaaaa'; nuseebu birahmatinaa man nashaaa'u wa laa nudee'u ajral muhsineen

56.That is how We established Joseph in the land that he may settle in it wherever he wished. We confer Our mercy on whomever We wish, and We do not waste the reward of the virtuous.

 

[22:07.00]

وَلَاَجْرُ الْاٰخِرَةِ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَكَانُوْا يَتَّقُوْنَ۠ ‏﴿57﴾‏

57.Wa la ajrul Aakhirati khairul lillazeena aamanoo wa kaanoo yattaqoon

57.And the reward of the Hereafter is surely better for those who have faith and are Godwary.

 

[22:17.00]

وَجَآءَ اِخْوَةُ يُوْسُفَ فَدَخَلُوْا عَلَيْهِ فَعَرَفَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَهٗ مُنْكِرُوْنَ‏﴿58﴾‏

58.Wa jaaa'a ikhwatu Yoosufa fadakhaloo 'alaihi fa'arafahum wa hum lahoo munkiroon

58.[After some years] the brothers of Joseph came and entered his presence. He recognized them, but they did not recognize him.

 

[22:30.00]

وَ لَمَّا جَهَّزَهُمْ بِجَهَازِهِمْ قَالَ ائْتُوْنِىْ بِاَخٍ لَّكُمْ مِّنْ اَبِيْكُمْ‌ۚ اَلَا تَرَوْنَ اَنِّىْۤ اُوْفِی الْكَيْلَ وَاَنَا خَيْرُ الْمُنْزِلِيْنَ‏﴿59﴾‏

59.Wa lammaa jahhazahum bijahaazihim qaala' toonee bi akhil lakum min abeekum; alaa tarawna anneee oofil kaila wa ana khairul munzileen

59.When he had furnished them with their provision, he said, ‘Bring me a brother that you have through your father. Do you not see that I give the full measure and that I am the best of hosts?

 

[22:52.00]

فَاِنْ لَّمْ تَاْتُوْنِىْ بِهٖ فَلَا كَيْلَ لَكُمْ عِنْدِىْ وَلَا تَقْرَبُوْنِ‏﴿60﴾‏

60.Fa il lam taatoonee bihee falaa kaila lakum 'indee wa laa taqraboon

60.But if you do not bring him to me, then there will be no rations for you with me, and don’t [ever] come near me.’

 

[23:03.00]

قَالُوْا سَنُرَاوِدُ عَنْهُ اَبَاهُ وَاِنَّا لَفَاعِلُوْنَ‏﴿61﴾‏

61.Qaaloo sanuraawidu 'anhu abaahu wa innaa lafaa'iloon

61.They said, ‘We will solicit him from his father. [That] we will surely do.’

 

[23:12.00]

وَقَالَ لِفِتْيٰنِهِ اجْعَلُوْا بِضَاعَتَهُمْ فِیْ رِحَالِهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَعْرِفُوْنَهَاۤ اِذَا انْقَلَبُوْۤا اِلٰٓى اَهْلِهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُوْنَ‏﴿62﴾‏

62.Wa qaala lifityaanihij 'aloo bidaa'atahum fee rihaalihim la'allahum ya'rifoonahaaa izan qalabooo ilaaa ahlihim la'allahum yarji'oon

62.He said to his servants, ‘Put their money [back] into their saddlebags. Maybe they will recognize it when they return to their folks, and maybe they will come back [again].’

 

[23:37.00]

فَلَمَّا رَجَعُوْۤا اِلٰٓى اَبِيْهِمْ قَالُوْا يٰۤاَبَانَا مُنِعَ مِنَّا الْكَيْلُ فَاَرْسِلْ مَعَنَاۤ اَخَانَا نَكْتَلْ وَاِنَّا لَهٗ لَحٰفِظُوْنَ‏﴿63﴾‏

63.Falammaa raja'ooo ilaaa abeehim qaaloo yaaa abaanaa muni'a minnal kailu fa arsil ma'anaaa akhaanaa naktal wa innaa lahoo lahaafizoon

63.So when they returned to their father, they said, ‘Father, the measure has been withheld from us, so let our brother go with us so that we may obtain the measure, and we will indeed take [good] care of him.’

 

[24:02.00]

قَالَ هَلْ اٰمَنُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ اِلَّا كَمَاۤ اَمِنْتُكُمْ عَلٰٓى اَخِيْهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ‌ؕ فَاللّٰهُ خَيْرٌ حٰفِظًا‌۪ وَّهُوَ اَرْحَمُ الرّٰحِمِيْنَ‏﴿64﴾‏

64.Qaala hal aamanukum 'alihi illaa kamaa amintukum 'alaaa akheehimin qabl; fal laahu khairun haafizanw wa Huwa arhamur Raahimeen

64.He said, ‘Should I not trust you with him just as I trusted you with his brother before? Yet Allah is the best of protectors, and He is the most merciful of merciful ones.’

 

[24:23.00]

وَلَمَّا فَتَحُوْا مَتَاعَهُمْ وَجَدُوْا بِضَاعَتَهُمْ رُدَّتْ اِلَيْهِمْؕ قَالُوْا يٰۤاَبَانَا مَا نَبْغِىْؕ هٰذِهٖ بِضَاعَتُنَا رُدَّتْ اِلَيْنَا‌ ۚ وَنَمِيْرُ اَهْلَنَا وَنَحْفَظُ اَخَانَا وَنَزْدَادُ كَيْلَ بَعِيْرٍ‌ؕ ذٰلِكَ كَيْلٌ يَّسِيْرٌ‏﴿65﴾‏

65.Wa lammaa fatahoo mataa 'ahum wajadoo bidaa'atahum ruddat ilaihim qaaloo yaaa abaanaa maa nabghee; haazihee bida 'atunaa ruddat ilainaa wa nameeru ahlanaa wa nahfazu akhaanaa wa nazdaadu kaila ba'eer; zaalika kailuny yaseer

65.And when they opened their baggage, they found their money restored to them. They said, ‘Father, what [more] do we want?! This is our money, restored to us! We will get provisions for our family and take care of our brother, and add another camel-load of rations. These are meagre rations.’

 

[24:57.00]

قَالَ لَنْ اُرْسِلَهٗ مَعَكُمْ حَتّٰى تُؤْتُوْنِ مَوْثِقًا مِّنَ اللّٰهِ لَتَاْتُنَّنِىْ بِهٖۤ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ يُّحَاطَ بِكُمْ‌ۚ فَلَمَّاۤ اٰتَوْهُ مَوْثِقَهُمْ قَالَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مَا نَقُوْلُ وَكِيْلٌ‏﴿66﴾‏

66.Qaala lan ursilahoo ma'akum hattaa tu'tooni mawsiqam minal laahis lataa tunnanee biheee illaaa nay yuhaata bikum falammaaa aatawhu mawsiqahum qaalal laahu 'alaa maa naqoolu Wakeel

66.He said, ‘I will not let him go with you until you give me a [solemn] pledge by Allah that you will surely bring him back to me, unless you are made to perish.’ When they had given him their [solemn] pledge, he said, ‘Allah is witness over what we say.’

 

[25:27.00]

وَقَالَ يٰبَنِىَّ لَا تَدْخُلُوْا مِنْۢ بَابٍ وَّاحِدٍ وَّادْخُلُوْا مِنْ اَبْوَابٍ مُّتَفَرِّقَةٍ‌ؕ وَمَاۤ اُغْنِىْ عَنْكُمْ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ مِنْ شَىْءٍؕ‌ اِنِ الْحُكْمُ اِلَّا لِلّٰهِ‌ؕ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ‌ۚ وَعَلَيْهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُتَوَكِّلُوْنَ‏﴿67﴾‏

67.Wa qaala yaa baniyya laa tadkhuloo mim baabinw waa hidinw wadkhuloo min abwaabim mutafarriqah; wa maaa ughnee 'ankum minal laahi min shai'in; inil hukmu illaa lillaahi 'alaihi tawakkaltu wa 'alaihi fal yatawakkalil Mutawakkiloon

67.And he said, ‘My sons, do not enter by one gate, but enter by separate gates, though I cannot avail you anything against Allah. Sovereignty belongs only to Allah. In Him I have put my trust; and in Him let all the trusting put their trust.’

 

[26:05.00]

وَلَمَّا دَخَلُوْا مِنْ حَيْثُ اَمَرَهُمْ اَبُوْهُمْ ؕمَا كَانَ يُغْنِىْ عَنْهُمْ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ مِنْ شَىْءٍ اِلَّا حَاجَةً فِیْ نَفْسِ يَعْقُوْبَ قَضٰٮهَا‌ؕ وَاِنَّهٗ لَذُوْ عِلْمٍ لِّمَا عَلَّمْنٰهُ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ۠ ‏﴿68﴾‏

68.Wa lammaa dakhaloo min haisu amarahum aboohum maa kaana yughnee 'anhum minal laahi min shai'in illaa haajatan fee nafsi Ya'qooba qadaahaa; wa innahoo lazoo 'ilmil limaa 'allamnaahu wa laakinna aksaran naasi laa ya'lamoon

68.When they entered whence their father had bidden them, it did not avail them anything against Allah, but only fulfilled a wish in Jacob’s heart. Indeed, he had the knowledge of what We had taught him, but most people do not know.

 

[26:40.00]

وَلَمَّا دَخَلُوْا عَلٰى يُوْسُفَ اٰوٰٓى اِلَيْهِ اَخَاهُ‌ قَالَ اِنِّىْۤ اَنَا اَخُوْكَ فَلَا تَبْتَئِسْ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ‏﴿69﴾‏

69.Wa lammaa dakhaloo 'alaa Yoosufa aawaaa ilaihi akhaahu qaala inneee ana akhooka falaa tabta'is bimaa kaanoo ya'maloon

69.When they entered into the presence of Joseph, he set his brother close to himself, and said, ‘Indeed I am your brother, so do not sorrow for what they used to do.’

 

[27:02.00]

فَلَمَّا جَهَّزَهُمْ بِجَهَازِهِمْ جَعَلَ السِّقَايَةَ فِیْ رَحْلِ اَخِيْهِ ثُمَّ اَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنٌ ا يَّتُهَا الْعِيْرُ اِنَّكُمْ لَسَارِقُوْنَ‏﴿70﴾‏

70.Falammaa jahhazahum bijahaazihim ja'alas siqaayata fee rahli akheehi summa azzana mu'azzinun ayyatuhal'eeru innakum lasaariqoon

70.When he had furnished them with their provision, he put the drinking-cup into his brother’s saddlebag. Then a herald shouted: ‘O [men of the] caravan! You are indeed thieves!’

 

[27:28.00]

قَالُوْا وَاَقْبَلُوْا عَلَيْهِمْ مَّاذَا تَفْقِدُوْنَ‏﴿71﴾‏

71.Qaaloo wa aqbaloo 'alaihim maazaa tafqidoon

71.They said, as they turned towards them, ‘What are you missing?’

 

[27:37.00]

قَالُوْا نَفْقِدُ صُوَاعَ الْمَلِكِ وَلِمَنْ جَآءَ بِهٖ حِمْلُ بَعِيْرٍ وَّاَنَا بِهٖ زَعِيْمٌ‏﴿72﴾‏

72.Qaaloo nafqidu suwaa'al maliki wa liman jaaa'a bihee himlu ba'eerinw wa ana bihee za'eem

72.They said, ‘We miss the king’s goblet.’ ‘Whoever brings it shall have a camel-load [of grain],’ [said the steward], ‘I will guarantee that.’

 

[28:00.00]

قَالُوْا تَاللّٰهِ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمْ مَّا جِئْنَا لِنُفْسِدَ فِى الْاَرْضِ وَمَا كُنَّا سَارِقِيْنَ‏﴿73﴾‏

73.Qaaloo tallaahi laqad 'alimtum maa ji'na linufsida fil ardi wa maa kunnaa saariqeen

73.They said, ‘By Allah! You certainly know that we did not come to make trouble in this country, and we are not thieves.’

 

[28:13.00]

قَالُوْا فَمَا جَزَاۤؤُهٗۤ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ كٰذِبِيْنَ‏﴿74﴾‏

74.Qaaloo famaa jazaaa'u hooo in kuntum kaazibeen

74.They said, ‘What shall be its requital if you [prove to] be lying?’

 

[28:25.00]

قَالُوْا جَزَاۤؤُهٗ مَنْ وُّجِدَ فِیْ رَحْلِهٖ فَهُوَ جَزَاۤؤُهٗ‌ؕ كَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِى الظّٰلِمِيْنَ‏﴿75﴾‏

75.Qaaloo jazaaa'uhoo manw wujida fee rahlihee fahuwa jazaaa'uh; kazaalika najziz zaalimeen

75.They said, ‘The requital for it shall be that he in whose saddlebag it is found shall give himself over as its requital. Thus do we requite the wrongdoers.’

 

[28:42.00]

فَبَدَاَ بِاَوْعِيَتِهِمْ قَبْلَ وِعَآءِ اَخِيْهِ ثُمَّ اسْتَخْرَجَهَا مِنْ وِّعَآءِ اَخِيْهِ‌ؕ كَذٰلِكَ كِدْنَا لِيُوْسُفَ‌ؕ مَا كَانَ لِيَاْخُذَ اَخَاهُ فِیْ دِيْنِ الْمَلِكِ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ يَّشَآءَ اللّٰهُ‌ؕ نَرْفَعُ دَرَجٰتٍ مَّنْ نَّشَآءُ‌ؕ وَفَوْقَ كُلِّ ذِىْ عِلْمٍ عَلِيْمٌ‏﴿76﴾‏

76.Fabada-a bi-aw'iyatihim qabla wi'aaa'i akheehi summas takhrajahaa minw wi 'aaa'i akheeh; kazaalika kidnaa li Yoosuf; maa kaana liyaakhuza akhaahu fee deenil maliki illaaa any yashaaa'al laah; narfa'u darajaatim man nashaaa'; wa fawqa kulli zee 'ilmin 'Aleem

76.Then he began with their sacks, before [opening] his brother’s sack. Then he took it out from his brother’s sack. Thus did We devise for Joseph’s sake. He could not have held his brother under the king’s law unless Allah willed [otherwise]. We raise in rank whomever We please, and above every man of knowledge is One who knows best.

 

[29:29.00]

قَالُوْۤا اِنْ يَّسْرِقْ فَقَدْ سَرَقَ اَخٌ لَّهٗ مِنْ قَبْلُ‌ ۚ فَاَسَرَّهَا يُوْسُفُ فِیْ نَفْسِهٖ وَلَمْ يُبْدِهَا لَهُمْ‌ ۚ قَالَ اَنْتُمْ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا ‌ۚ وَاللّٰهُ اَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَصِفُوْنَ‏﴿77﴾‏

77.Qaaloo iny yasriq faqad saraqa akhul lahoo min qabl; fa asarrahaa Yoosufu fee nafsihee wa lam yubdihaa lahum; qaala antum sharrum makaananw wallaahu a'lamu bimaa tasifoon

77.They said, ‘If he has stolen [there is no wonder]; a brother of his had stolen before.’ Thereupon Joseph kept the matter to himself and he did not disclose it to them. He said, ‘You are in a worse state! And Allah knows best what you allege.’

 

[29:56.00]

قَالُوْا يٰۤاَيُّهَا الْعَزِيْزُ اِنَّ لَهٗۤ اَبًا شَيْخًا كَبِيْرًا فَخُذْ اَحَدَنَا مَكَانَهٗۚ اِنَّا نَرٰٮكَ مِنَ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ‏﴿78﴾‏

78.Qaaloo yaaa ayyuhal 'Azeezu inna lahooo aban shaikhan kabeeran fakhuz ahadanaa makaanahoo innaa naraaka minal muhsineen

78.They said, ‘O emir! Indeed, he has a father, a very old man; so take one of us in his place. Indeed we see that you are a virtuous man.’

 

[30:20.00]

قَالَ مَعَاذَ اللّٰهِ اَنْ نَّاْخُذَ اِلَّا مَنْ وَّجَدْنَا مَتَاعَنَا عِنْدَهٗۤ ۙ اِنَّاۤ اِذًا لَّظٰلِمُوْنَ۠ ‏﴿79﴾‏

79.Qaala ma'aazal laahi an naakhuza illaa manw wajadnaa mataa'anaa 'indahoo innaaa izal lazaalimoon

79.He said, ‘God forbid that we should detain anyone except him with whom we found our wares, for then we would indeed be wrongdoers.’

 

[30:39.00]

فَلَمَّا اسْتَايْئَسُوْا مِنْهُ خَلَصُوْا نَجِيًّا‌ ؕ قَالَ كَبِيْرُهُمْ اَلَمْ تَعْلَمُوْۤا اَنَّ اَبَاكُمْ قَدْ اَخَذَ عَلَيْكُمْ مَّوْثِقًا مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَمِنْ قَبْلُ مَا فَرَّطْتُّمْ فِیْ يُوْسُفَ‌ ۚ فَلَنْ اَبْرَحَ الْاَرْضَ حَتّٰى يَاْذَنَ لِىْۤ اَبِىْۤ اَوْ يَحْكُمَ اللّٰهُ لِىْ‌ ۚ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الْحٰكِمِيْنَ‏﴿80﴾‏

80.Falammas tay'asoo minhu khalasoo najiyyan qaala kabeeruhum alam ta'lamoon anna abaakum qad akhaza 'alaikum mawsiqam minal laahi wa min qablu maa farrattum fee Yoosufa falan abrahal arda hattaa yaazana leee abeee aw yahkumal laahu lee wa huwa khairul lhaakimeen

80.When they had despaired of [moving] him, they withdrew to confer privately. The eldest of them said, ‘Don’t you know that your father has taken a [solemn] pledge from you by Allah, and earlier you have neglected your duty in regard to Joseph? So I will never leave this land until my father permits me, or Allah passes a judgement for me, and He is the best of judges.

 

[31:20.00]

اِرْجِعُوْۤا اِلٰٓى اَبِيْكُمْ فَقُوْلُوْا يٰۤاَبَانَاۤ اِنَّ ابْنَكَ سَرَقَ‌ۚ وَمَا شَهِدْنَاۤ اِلَّا بِمَا عَلِمْنَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِلْغَيْبِ حٰفِظِيْنَ‏﴿81﴾‏

81.Irji'ooo ilaaa abeekum faqooloo yaaa abaanaaa innab naka saraq; wa maa shahidnaaa illaa bimaa 'alimnaa wa maa kunnaa lilghaibi haafizeen

81.Go back to your father, and say, ‘‘Father! Your son has indeed committed theft, and we testified only to what we knew, and we could not have forestalled the unseen.

 

[31:47.00]

وَسْئَلِ الْقَرْيَةَ الَّتِىْ كُنَّا فِيْهَا وَالْعِيْرَ الَّتِىْ اَقْبَلْنَا فِيْهَا‌ؕ وَاِنَّا لَصٰدِقُوْنَ‏﴿82﴾‏

82.Was'alil qaryatal latee kunnaa feehaa wal'eeral lateee aqbalnaa feehaa wa innaa lasaadiqoon

82.Ask [the people of] the town we were in, and the caravan with which we came. We indeed speak the truth.’’ ’

 

[32:03.00]

قَالَ بَلْ سَوَّلَتْ لَكُمْ اَنْفُسُكُمْ اَمْرًا‌ؕ فَصَبْرٌ جَمِيْلٌ‌ؕ عَسَى اللّٰهُ اَنْ يَّاْتِيَنِىْ بِهِمْ جَمِيْعًا‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الْعَلِيْمُ الْحَكِيْمُ‏﴿83﴾‏

83.Qaala bal sawwalat lakum anfusukum amran fasabrun jameelun 'asal laahu any yaa tiyanee bihim jamee'aa; innahoo Huwal 'Aleemul Hakeem

83.He said, ‘No, your souls have made a matter seem decorous to you. Yet patience is graceful. Maybe Allah will bring them all [back] to me. Indeed He is the All-knowing, the All-wise.’

 

[32:27.00]

وَتَوَلّٰى عَنْهُمْ وَقَالَ يٰۤاَسَفٰى عَلٰى يُوْسُفَ وَابْيَضَّتْ عَيْنٰهُ مِنَ الْحُزْنِ فَهُوَ كَظِيْمٌ‏﴿84﴾‏

84.Wa tawallaa 'anhum wa qaala yaaa asafaa 'alaa Yoosufa wabyaddat 'aynaahu minal huzni fahuwa kazeem

84.He turned away from them and said, ‘Alas for Joseph!’ His eyes had turned white with grief, and he choked with suppressed agony.

 

[32:42.00]

قَالُوْا تَاللّٰهِ تَفْتَؤُا تَذْكُرُ يُوْسُفَ حَتّٰى تَكُوْنَ حَرَضًا اَوْ تَكُوْنَ مِنَ الْهَالِكِيْنَ‏﴿85﴾‏

85.Qaaloo tallaahi tafta'u tazkuru Yoosufa hattaa takoona haradan aw takoona minal haalikeen

85.They said, ‘By Allah! You will go on remembering Joseph until you wreck your health or perish.’

 

[32:55.00]

قَالَ اِنَّمَاۤ اَشْكُوْا بَثِّىْ وَحُزْنِىْۤ اِلَى اللّٰهِ وَاَعْلَمُ مِنَ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ‏﴿86﴾‏

86.Qaala innamaaa ashkoo bassee wa huzneee ilal laahi wa a'lamu minal laahi maa laa ta'lamoon

86.He said, ‘I complain of my anguish and grief only to Allah. I know from Allah what you do not know.’

 

[33:10.00]

يٰبَنِىَّ اذْهَبُوْا فَتَحَسَّسُوْا مِنْ يُّوْسُفَ وَاَخِيْهِ وَلَا تَايْئَسُوْا مِنْ رَّوْحِ اللّٰهِ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ لَا يَايْئَسُ مِنْ رَّوْحِ اللّٰهِ اِلَّا الْقَوْمُ الْكٰفِرُوْنَ‏﴿87﴾‏

87.Yaa baniyyaz haboo fatahassasoo miny Yoosufa wa akheehi wa laa tai'asoo mir rawhil laahi innahoo laa yai'asu mir rawhil laahi illal qawmul kaafiroon

87.‘Go, my sons, and look for Joseph and his brother, and do not despair of Allah’s mercy. Indeed no one despairs of Allah’s mercy except the faithless lot.’

 

[33:33.00]

فَلَمَّا دَخَلُوْا عَلَيْهِ قَالُوْا يٰۤاَيُّهَا الْعَزِيْزُ مَسَّنَا وَاَهْلَنَا الضُّرُّ وَجِئْنَا بِبِضَاعَةٍ مُّزْجٰٮةٍ فَاَوْفِ لَنَا الْكَيْلَ وَتَصَدَّقْ عَلَيْنَاؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَجْزِى الْمُتَصَدِّقِيْنَ‏﴿88﴾‏

88.Falammaa dakhaloo 'alaihi qaaloo yaaa ayyuhal 'Azeezu massanaa wa ahlanad durru wa ji'naa bibidaa 'timmuzjaatin fa awfi lanal kaila wa tasaddaq 'alainaa innal laaha yajzil mutasaddiqeen

88.Then, when they entered into his presence, they said, ‘O emir! Distress has befallen us and our family, and we have brought [just] a meagre sum. Yet grant us the full measure, and be charitable to us! Indeed Allah rewards the charitable.’

 

[34:05.00]

قَالَ هَلْ عَلِمْتُمْ مَّا فَعَلْتُمْ بِيُوْسُفَ وَاَخِيْهِ اِذْ اَنْتُمْ جٰهِلُوْنَ‏﴿89﴾‏

89.Qaala hal 'alimtum maa fa'altum bi Yoosufa wa akheehi iz antum jaahiloon

89.He said, ‘Have you realized what you did to Joseph and his brother, when you were senseless?’

 

[34:17.00]

قَالُوْۤا ءَاِنَّكَ لَاَنْتَ يُوْسُفُ‌ؕ قَالَ اَنَا يُوْسُفُ وَهٰذَاۤ اَخِىْ‌ؗ قَدْ مَنَّ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْنَاؕ اِنَّهٗ مَنْ يَّتَّقِ وَيَصْبِرْ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُضِيْعُ اَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ‏﴿90﴾‏

90.Qaaloo 'a innaka la anta Yoosufu qaala ana Yoosufu wa haazaaa akhee qad mannal laahu 'alainaa innahoo mai yattaqi wa yasbir fa innal laaha laa yudee'u ajral muhsineen

90.They said, ‘Are you really Joseph?!’ He said, ‘I am Joseph, and this is my brother. Certainly Allah has shown us favour. Indeed if one is Godwary and patient Allah does not waste the reward of the virtuous.’

 

[34:47.00]

قَالُوْا تَاللّٰهِ لَقَدْ اٰثَرَكَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْنَا وَاِنْ كُنَّا لَخٰطِئِيْنَ‏﴿91﴾‏

91.Qaaloo tallaahi laqad aasarakal laahu 'alainaa wa in kunnaa lakhaati'een

91.They said, ‘By Allah, Allah has certainly preferred you over us, and we have indeed been erring.’

 

[34:59.00]

قَالَ لَا تَثْرِيْبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ‌ؕ يَغْفِرُ اللّٰهُ لَكُمْ‌ؗ وَهُوَ اَرْحَمُ الرّٰحِمِيْنَ‏﴿92﴾‏

92.Qaala laa tasreeba 'alaikumul yawma yaghfirul laahu lakum wa Huwa arhamur raahimeen

92.He said, ‘There shall be no reproach on you today. Allah will forgive you, and He is the most merciful of the merciful.

 

[35:13.00]

اِذْهَبُوْا بِقَمِيْصِىْ هٰذَا فَاَلْقُوْهُ عَلٰى وَجْهِ اَبِىْ يَاْتِ بَصِيْرًا‌ۚ وَاْتُوْنِىْ بِاَهْلِكُمْ اَجْمَعِيْنَ۠ ‏﴿93﴾‏

93.Izhaboo biqameesee haazaa fa alqoohu 'alaa wajhi abee yaati baseeranw waatoonee bi ahlikum ajma'een

93.Take this shirt of mine, and cast it upon my father’s face; he will regain his sight, and bring me all your folks.’

 

[35:27.00]

وَلَمَّا فَصَلَتِ الْعِيْرُ قَالَ اَبُوْهُمْ اِنِّىْ لَاَجِدُ رِيْحَ يُوْسُفَ‌ لَوْلَاۤ اَنْ تُفَنِّدُوْنِ‏﴿94﴾‏

94.Wa lammaa fasalatil 'eeru qaala aboohum innee la ajidu reeha Yoosufa law laaa an tufannidoon

94.As the caravan set off, their father said, ‘I sense the scent of Joseph, if you will not consider me a dotard.’

 

[35:44.00]

قَالُوْا تَاللّٰهِ اِنَّكَ لَفِیْ ضَلٰلِكَ الْقَدِيْمِ‏﴿95﴾‏

95.Qaaloo tallaahi innaka lafee dalaalikal qadeem

95.They said, ‘By God, you persist in your inveterate error.’

 

[35:52.00]

فَلَمَّاۤ اَنْ جَآءَ الْبَشِيْرُ اَلْقٰٮهُ عَلٰى وَجْهِهٖ فَارْتَدَّ بَصِيْرًا ‌ ؕۚ قَالَ اَلَمْ اَقُل لَّكُمْ‌ ۚ‌ ۙ اِنِّىْۤ اَعْلَمُ مِنَ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ‏﴿96﴾‏

96.Falammaaa an jaaa'albasheeru alqaahu 'alaa wajhihee fartadda baseeran qaala alam aqul lakum inneee a'lamu minal laahi maa laa ta'lamoon

96.When the bearer of good news arrived, he cast it on his face, and he regained his sight. He said, ‘Did I not tell you, ‘‘I know from Allah what you do not know?’’ ’

 

[36:18.00]

قَالُوْا يٰۤاَبَانَا اسْتَغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوْبَنَاۤ اِنَّا كُنَّا خٰطِئِيْنَ‏﴿97﴾‏

97.Qaaloo yaaa abaanas taghfir lanaa zunoo =banaaa innaa kunnaa khaati'een

97.They said, ‘Father! Plead [with Allah] for forgiveness of our sins! We have indeed been erring.’

 

[36:34.00]

قَالَ سَوْفَ اَسْتَغْفِرُ لَكُمْ رَبِّىْؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الْغَفُوْرُ الرَّحِيْمُ‏﴿98﴾‏

98.Qaala sawfa astaghfiru lakum Rabbeee innahoo Huwal Ghafoorur Raheem

98.He said, ‘I shall plead with my Lord to forgive you; indeed He is the All-forgiving, the All-merciful.’

 

[36:45.00]

فَلَمَّا دَخَلُوْا عَلٰى يُوْسُفَ اٰوٰٓى اِلَيْهِ اَبَوَيْهِ وَقَالَ ادْخُلُوْا مِصْرَ اِنْ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ اٰمِنِيْنَؕ‏﴿99﴾‏

99.Falammaa dakhaloo 'alaa Yoosufa aawaaa ilaihi abayaihi wa qaalad khuloo Misra inshaaa'al laahu aamineen

99.When they entered into the presence of Joseph, he set his parents close to himself, and said, ‘Welcome to Egypt, in safety, God willing!’

وَرَفَعَ اَبَوَيْهِ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ وَخَرُّوْا لَهٗ سُجَّدًا‌ۚ وَقَالَ يٰۤاَبَتِ هٰذَا تَاْوِيْلُ رُءْيَاىَ مِنْ قَبْلُؗ قَدْ جَعَلَهَا رَبِّىْ حَقًّا‌ؕ وَقَدْ اَحْسَنَ بِىْۤ اِذْ اَخْرَجَنِىْ مِنَ السِّجْنِ وَجَآءَ بِكُمْ مِّنَ الْبَدْوِ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ اَنْ نَّزَغَ الشَّيْطٰنُ بَيْنِىْ وَبَيْنَ اِخْوَتِىْ‌ؕ اِنَّ رَبِّىْ لَطِيْفٌ لِّمَا يَشَآءُ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الْعَلِيْمُ الْحَكِيْمُ‏﴿100﴾‏

100.Wa raf'a abawaihi 'alal 'arshi wa kharroo lahoo sujjadaa; wa qaala yaaa abati haaza taaweelu ru'yaaya min qablu qad ja'alahaa Rabbee haqqaa; wa qad ahsana beee iz akhrajanee minas sijni wa jaaa'a bikum minal badwi mim ba'di an nazaghash Shaitaanu bainee wa baina ikhwatee; inna Rabbee lateeful limaa yashaaa'; innahoo Huwal 'Aleemul Hakeem

100.And he seated his parents high upon the throne, and they fell down prostrate before him. He said, ‘Father! This is the fulfillment of my dream of long ago, which my Lord has made come true. He was certainly gracious to me when He brought me out of the prison and brought you over from the desert after that Satan had incited ill feeling between me and my brothers. Indeed my Lord is all-attentive in bringing about what He wishes. Indeed He is the All-knowing, the All-wise.’

 

[38:03.00]

رَبِّ قَدْ اٰتَيْتَنِىْ مِنَ الْمُلْكِ وَ عَلَّمْتَنِىْ مِنْ تَاْوِيْلِ الْاَحَادِيْثِ‌ ۚ فَاطِرَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ اَنْتَ وَلِىّٖ فِى الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ‌ ۚ تَوَفَّنِىْ مُسْلِمًا وَّاَلْحِقْنِىْ بِالصّٰلِحِيْنَ‏﴿101﴾‏

101.Rabbi qad aataitanee minal mulki wa 'allamtanee min taaweelil ahaadees; faati ras samaawaati wal ardi Anta waliyyee fid dunyaa wal Aakhirati tawaffanee muslimanw wa alhiqnee bissaaliheen

101.‘My Lord! You have granted me a share in the kingdom, and taught me the interpretation of dreams. Originator of the heavens and earth! You are my guardian in this world and the Hereafter! Let my death be in submission [to You], and unite me with the Righteous.’

 

[38:32.00]

ذٰلِكَ مِنْ اَنْۢبَآءِ الْغَيْبِ نُوْحِيْهِ اِلَيْكَ‌ۚ وَمَا كُنْتَ لَدَيْهِمْ اِذْ اَجْمَعُوْۤا اَمْرَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَمْكُرُوْنَ‏﴿102﴾‏

102.Zaalika min ambaaa'il ghaibi nooheehi ilaika wa maa kunta ladaihim iz ajma'ooo amrahum wa hum yamkuroon

102.These are accounts from the Unseen, which We reveal to you, and you were not with them when they conspired together and schemed.

 

[38:52.00]

وَمَاۤاَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتَ بِمُؤْمِنِيْنَ‏﴿103﴾‏

103.Wa maa aksarun naasi wa law harasta bimu'mineen

103.Yet most people will not have faith, however eager you should be.

 

[39:01.00]

وَمَا تَسْئَلُهُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍ‌ؕ اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعٰلَمِيْنَ۠ ‏﴿104﴾‏

104.Wa maa tas'aluhum 'alaihi min ajr; in huwa illaa zikrul lil'aalameen

104.You do not ask them any reward for it: it is just a reminder for all the nations.

 

[39:12.00]

وَكَاَيِّنْ مِّنْ اٰيَةٍ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ يَمُرُّوْنَ عَلَيْهَا وَهُمْ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضُوْنَ‏﴿105﴾‏

105.Wa ka ayyim min Aayatin fis samaawaati wal ardi yamurroona 'alaihaa wa hum 'anhaa mu'ridoon

105.How many a sign there is in the heavens and the earth that they pass by while they are disregardful of it!

 

[39:26.00]

وَمَا يُؤْمِنُ اَكْثَرُهُمْ بِاللّٰهِ اِلَّا وَهُمْ مُّشْرِكُوْنَ‏﴿106﴾‏

106.Wa maa yu'minu aksaru hum billaahi illaa wa hum mushrikoon

106.And most of them do not believe in Allah without ascribing partners to Him.

 

[39:37.00]

اَفَاَمِنُوْۤا اَنْ تَاْتِيَهُمْ غَاشِيَةٌ مِّنْ عَذَابِ اللّٰهِ اَوْ تَاْتِيَهُمُ السَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً وَّ هُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ‏﴿107﴾‏

107.Afa aminooo an taatiya hum ghaashiyatum min 'azaabil laahi aw taatiyahumus Saa'atu baghtatanw wa hum laa yash'uroon

107.Do they feel secure from being overtaken by a blanket punishment from Allah, or being overtaken by the Hour, suddenly, while they are unaware?

 

[39:55.00]

قُلْ هٰذِهٖ سَبِيْلِىْۤ اَدْعُوْۤا اِلَى اللّٰهِ  ؔعَلٰى بَصِيْرَةٍ اَنَا وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِىْ‌ؕ وَسُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ وَمَاۤ اَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِيْنَ‏﴿108﴾‏

108.Qul haazihee sabeeleee ad'ooo ilal laah; 'alaa baseera tin ana wa manit taba'anee wa Subhaanal laahi wa maaa ana minal mushrikeen

108.Say, ‘This is my way. I summon to Allah with insight—I and he who follows me. Immaculate is Allah, and I am not one of the polytheists.’

 

[40:19.00]

وَمَاۤ اَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ اِلَّا رِجَالًا نُّوْحِىْۤ اِلَيْهِمْ مِّنْ اَهْلِ الْقُرٰى‌ؕ اَفَلَمْ يَسِيْرُوْا فِى الْاَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوْا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْؕ وَلَدَارُ الْاٰخِرَةِ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِيْنَ اتَّقَوْا ‌ؕ اَفَلَا تَعْقِلُوْنَ‏﴿109﴾‏

109.Wa maaa arsalnaa min qablika illaa rijaalan nooheee ilaihim min ahlil quraa; afalam yaseeroo fil ardi fa yanzuroo kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul lazeena min qablihim; wa la Daarul Aakhirati Khairul lillazeenat taqaw; afalaa ta'qiloon

109.We did not send [any apostles] before you except as men from among the people of the towns, to whom We revealed. Have they not travelled over the land so that they may observe how was the fate of those who were before them? And the abode of the Hereafter is surely better for those who are Godwary. Do you not exercise your reason?

 

[40:55.00]

حَتّٰۤى اِذَا اسْتَيْئَسَ الرُّسُلُ وَظَنُّوْۤا اَنَّهُمْ قَدْ كُذِبُوْا جَآءَهُمْ نَصْرُنَا ۙ فَنُجِّىَ مَنْ نَّشَآءُ ‌ؕ وَلَا يُرَدُّ بَاْسُنَا عَنِ الْقَوْمِ الْمُجْرِمِيْنَ‏﴿110﴾‏

110.Hattaaa izas tai'asar Rusulu wa zannooo annahum qad kuziboo jaaa'ahum nas runaa fanujjiya man nashaaa'u wa laa yuraddu baasunna 'anil qawmil mujrimeen

110.When the apostles lost hope and they thought that they had been told lies, Our help came to them, and We delivered whomever We wished, and Our punishment will not be averted from the guilty lot.

 

[41:23.00]

لَقَدْ كَانَ فِیْ قَصَصِهِمْ عِبْرَةٌ لِّاُولِى الْاَلْبَابِ‌ؕ مَا كَانَ حَدِيْثًا يُّفْتَرٰى وَلٰكِنْ تَصْدِيْقَ الَّذِىْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَتَفْصِيْلَ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَّهُدًى وَّرَحْمَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يُّؤْمِنُوْنَ۠ ‏﴿111﴾‏

111.Laqad kaana fee qasasihim 'ibratul li ulil albaa; maa kaana hadeesany yuftaraa wa laakin tasdeeqal lazee baina yadihi wa tafseela kulli shai'inw wa hudanw wa rahmatal liqawminy yu'minoon

111.There is certainly a moral in their accounts for those who possess intellect. This [Quran] is not a fabricated discourse; rather, it is a confirmation of what was [revealed] before it, and an elaboration of all things, and a guidance and mercy for a people who have faith.
