Before reciting Holy Quran

[00:00.01]

وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يَرْجُوْنَ لِقَآءَنَا لَوْلَاۤ اُنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا الْمَلٰٓئِكَةُ اَوْ نَرٰى رَبَّنَا ؕ لَقَدِ اسْتَكْبَرُوْا فِیْۤ اَنْفُسِهِمْ وَعَتَوْ عُتُوًّا كَبِيْرًا‏﴿21﴾‏

21.Wa qaalal lazeena laa yarjoona liqaaa'anaa law laaa unzila 'alainal malaaa'ikatu awnaraa Rabbanaa; laqadistakbaroo feee anfusihim wa 'ataw 'utuwwan kabeeraa

21.Those who do not expect to encounter Us say, ‘Why have angels not been sent down to us, or why do we not see our Lord?’ Certainly, they are full of arrogance within their souls and have become terribly defiant.

يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ الْمَلٰٓئِكَةَ لَا بُشْرٰى يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُجْرِمِيْنَ وَ يَقُوْلُوْنَ حِجْرًا مَّحْجُوْرًا‏﴿22﴾‏

22.Yawma yarawnal malaaa 'ikata laa bushraa Yawma'izil lilmujrimeena wa yaqooloona hijram mahjooraa

22.The day they will see the angels, there will be no good news for the guilty on that day, and they will say, ‘Keep off [from paradise]!’

 

[00:34.00]

وَقَدِمْنَاۤ اِلٰى مَا عَمِلُوْا مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنٰهُ هَبَآءً مَّنْثُوْرًا‏﴿23﴾‏

23.Wa qadimnaaa ilaa maa 'amiloo min 'amalin faja'alnaahu habaaa'am mansooraa

23.Then We shall attend to the works they have done and then turn them into scattered dust.

 

[01:03.00]

اَصْحٰبُ الْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَيْرٌ مُّسْتَقَرًّا وَّاَحْسَنُ مَقِيْلًا‏﴿24﴾‏

24.As haabul jannati yawma'izin khairum mustaqar ranw wa ahsanu maqeela

24.On that day the inhabitants of paradise will be in the best abode and an excellent resting place.

 

[01:12.00]

وَيَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ السَّمَآءُ بِالْغَمَامِ وَنُزِّلَ الْمَلٰٓئِكَةُ تَنْزِيْلًا‏﴿25﴾‏

25.Wa Yawma tashaqqaqus samaaa'u bilghamaami wa nuzzilal malaaa'ikatu tanzeela

25.The day when the sky with its clouds will be split open, and the angels will be sent down [in a majestic] descent,

 

[01:24.00]

اَلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذِ ۟الْحَقُّ لِلرَّحْمٰنِ‌ؕ وَكَانَ يَوْمًا عَلَى الْكٰفِرِيْنَ عَسِيْرًا‏﴿26﴾‏

26.Almulku Yawma'izinil haqqu lir Rahmaan; wa kaana Yawman'alal kaafireena 'aseeraa

26.on that day true sovereignty will belong to the All-beneficent, and it will be a hard day for the faithless.

 

[01:34.00]

وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ الظَّالِمُ عَلٰى يَدَيْهِ يَقُوْلُ يٰلَيْتَنِى اتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ الرَّسُوْلِ سَبِيْلًا‏﴿27﴾‏

27.Wa Yawma ya'adduz zaalimu 'alaa yadaihi yaqoolu yaa laitanit takhaztu ma'ar Rasooli sabeelaa

27.It will be a day when the wrongdoer will bite his hands, saying, ‘I wish I had followed the Apostle’s way!

 

[01:45.00]

يٰوَيْلَتٰى لَيْتَنِىْ لَمْ اَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيْلًا‏﴿28﴾‏

28.Yaa wailataa laitanee lam attakhiz fulaanan khaleelaa

28.Woe to me! I wish I had not taken so and so as a friend!

 

[01:52.00]

لَقَدْ اَضَلَّنِىْ عَنِ الذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ اِذْ جَآءَنِىْ‌ ؕ وَكَانَ الشَّيْطٰنُ لِلْاِنْسَانِ خَذُوْلًا‏﴿29﴾‏

29.Laqad adallanee 'aniz zikri ba'da iz jaaa'anee; wa kaanash Shaitaanu lil insaani khazoolaa

29.Certainly he led me astray from the Reminder after it had come to me, and Satan is a deserter of man.’

 

[02:06.00]

وَقَالَ الرَّسُوْلُ يٰرَبِّ اِنَّ قَوْمِى اتَّخَذُوْا هٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنَ مَهْجُوْرًا‏﴿30﴾‏

30.Wa qaalar Rasoolu yaa Rabbi inna qawmit takhazoo haazal Qur-aana mahjooraa

30.And the Apostle will say, ‘O my Lord! Indeed my people consigned this Quran to oblivion.’

 

[02:16.00]

وَكَذٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِىٍّ عَدُوًّا مِّنَ الْمُجْرِمِيْنَ‌ؕ وَكَفٰى بِرَبِّكَ هَادِيًا وَّنَصِيْرًا‏﴿31﴾‏

31.Wa kazaalika ja'alnaa likulli Nabiyyin 'aduwwam minal mujrimeen; wa kafaa bi Rabbika haadiyanw wa naseeraa

31.That is how for every prophet We assigned an enemy from among the guilty, and your Lord suffices as helper and guide.

 

[02:29.00]

وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْاٰنُ جُمْلَةً وَّاحِدَةً‌  ‌ۛۚ كَذٰلِكَ ‌ۛۚ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهٖ فُؤَادَكَ‌ وَرَتَّلْنٰهُ تَرْتِيْلًا‏﴿32﴾‏

32.Wa qaalal lazeena kafaroo law laa nuzzila 'alaihil Quraanu jumlatanw waahidah; kazaalika linusabbita bihee fu'aadaka wa rattalnaahu tarteelaa

32.The faithless say, ‘Why has not the Quran been sent down to him all at once?’ So it was, that We may strengthen your heart with it, and We have recited it [to you] in a measured tone.

 

[03:07.00]

وَلَا يَاْتُوْنَكَ بِمَثَلٍ اِلَّا جِئْنٰكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَاَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيْرًا ؕ‏﴿33﴾‏

33.Wa laa yaatoonaka bimasainn illaa ji'naaka bilhaqqi wa ahsana tafseeraa

33.They do not bring you any representation but that We bring you the truth [in reply to them] and the best exposition.

 

[03:15.00]

اَلَّذِيْنَ يُحْشَرُوْنَ عَلٰى وُجُوْهِهِمْ اِلٰى جَهَنَّمَۙ اُولٰٓئِكَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَّاَضَلُّ سَبِيْلًا۠ ‏‏﴿34﴾‏

34.Allazeena yuhsharoona 'alaa wujoohim ilaa jahannama ulaaa'ika sharrum makaananw wa adallu sabeelaa )section )

34.Those who will be mustered [fallen] on their faces toward hell, they are the worse situated and further astray from the [right] way.

 

[03:39.00]

وَلَقَدْ اٰتَيْنَا مُوْسَى الْكِتٰبَ وَجَعَلْنَا مَعَهٗۤ اَخَاهُ هٰرُوْنَ وَزِيْرًا‌ ۖ‌ ۚ‏﴿35﴾‏

35.Wa laqad aatainaa Moosal Kitaaba wa ja'alnaa ma'ahooo akhaahu Haaroona wazeeraa

35.Certainly We gave Moses the Book and We made Aaron, his brother, accompany him as a minister.

 

[03:48.00]

فَقُلْنَا اذْهَبَاۤ اِلَى الْقَوْمِ الَّذِيْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَاؕ فَدَمَّرْنٰهُمْ تَدْمِيْرًاؕ‏﴿36﴾‏

36.Faqulnaz habaaa ilal qawmil lazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa fadammarnaahum tadmeeraa

36.Then We said, ‘Let the two of you go to the people who have denied Our signs.’ Then We destroyed them utterly.

 

[03:59.00]

وَقَوْمَ نُوْحٍ لَّمَّا كَذَّبُوا الرُّسُلَ اَغْرَقْنٰهُمْ وَجَعَلْنٰهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ اٰيَةً ‌ ؕ وَاَعْتَدْنَا لِلظّٰلِمِيْنَ عَذَابًا ا لِيْمًا ‌ۖ‌ ۚ‏﴿37﴾‏

37.Wa qawma Noohil lammaa kazzabur Rusula aghraqnaahum wa ja'alnaahum linnaasi Aayatanw wa a'tadnaa lizzaalimeena 'azaaban aleemaa

37.And Noah’s people, We drowned them when they impugned the apostles, and We made them a sign for mankind, and We have prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment.

 

[04:16.00]

وَّعَادًا وَّثَمُوْدَاۡ وَ اَصْحٰبَ الرَّسِّ وَقُرُوْنًۢا بَيْنَ ذٰلِكَ كَثِيْرًا‏﴿38﴾‏

38.Wa 'Aadanw Samooda wa As haabar Rassi wa quroonam baina zaalika kaseeraa

38.And ‘Ad and Thamud, and the people of Rass, and many generations between them.

 

[04:25.00]

وَكُلًّا ضَرَبْنَا لَهُ الْاَمْثَالَ‌ؗ وَكُلًّا تَبَّرْنَا تَتْبِيْرًا‏﴿39﴾‏

39.Wa kullandarabnaa lahul amsaala wa kullan tabbarnaa tatbeera

39.For each of them We drew examples, and each We destroyed utterly.

 

[04:35.00]

وَلَقَدْ اَتَوْا عَلَى الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِىْۤ اُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ السَّوْءِ‌ ؕ اَفَلَمْ يَكُوْنُوْا يَرَوْنَهَا ‌ۚ بَلْ كَانُوْا لَا يَرْجُوْنَ نُشُوْرًا‏﴿40﴾‏

40.Wa laqad ataw 'alal qaryatil lateee umtirat mataras saw'; afalam yakoonoo yarawnahaa; bal kaanoo laa yarjoona nushooraa

40.Certainly they must have passed the town on which an evil shower was rained. Have they not seen it? Rather, they did not expect resurrection [to happen].

 

[04:48.00]

وَاِذَا رَاَوْكَ اِنْ يَّتَّخِذُوْنَكَ اِلَّا هُزُوًا ؕ اَهٰذَا الَّذِىْ بَعَثَ اللّٰهُ رَسُوْلًا‏﴿41﴾‏

41.Wa izaa ra awka iny yattakhizoonaka illaa huzuwan ahaazal lazee ba'asal laahu Rasoolaa

41.When they see you they just take you in derision: ‘Is this the one whom Allah has sent as an apostle!?

 

[05:00.00]

اِنْ كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنْ اٰلِهَتِنَا لَوْ لَاۤ اَنْ صَبَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا‌ ؕ وَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُوْنَ حِيْنَ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَ مَنْ اَضَلُّ سَبِيْلًا‏﴿42﴾‏

42.In kaada la yudillunaa 'an aalihatinaa law laaa an sabarnaa 'alaihaa; wa sawfa ya'lamoona heena yarawnal 'azaaba man adallu sabeela

42.Indeed he was about to lead us astray from our gods, had we not stood firm by them.’ Soon they will know, when they sight the punishment, who is further astray from the [right] way.

 

[05:18.00]

اَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰهَهٗ هَوٰٮهُ ؕ اَفَاَنْتَ تَكُوْنُ عَلَيْهِ وَكِيْلًا ۙ‏﴿43﴾‏

43.Ara'aita manit takhaza ilaahahoo hawaahu afa anta takoonu 'alaihi wakeelaa

43.Have you seen him who has taken his desire to be his god? Is it your duty to watch over him?

 

[05:27.00]

اَمْ تَحْسَبُ اَنَّ اَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُوْنَ اَوْ يَعْقِلُوْنَ‌ ؕ اِنْ هُمْ اِلَّا كَالْاَنْعَامِ‌ بَلْ هُمْ اَضَلُّ سَبِيْلًا۠ ‏‏﴿44﴾‏

44.Am tahsabu annna aksarahum yasma'oona aw ya''qiloon; in hum illaa kal an'aami bal hum adallu sabeelan

44.Do you suppose that most of them listen or exercise their reason? They are just like cattle; indeed, they are further astray from the way.

 

[05:48.00]

اَلَمْ تَرَ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ الظِّلَّ‌ ۚ وَلَوْ شَآءَ لَجَعَلَهٗ سَاكِنًا‌ ۚ ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا الشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيْلًا ۙ‏﴿45﴾‏

45.Alam tara ilaa Rabbika kaifa maddaz zilla wa law shaaa'a laja'alahoo saakinan summa ja'alnash shamsa 'alaihe daleelaa

45.Have you not regarded how your Lord spreads the twilight? (Had He wished He would have made it stand still.) Then We made the sun a beacon for it.

 

[06:02.00]

ثُمَّ قَبَضْنٰهُ اِلَيْنَا قَبْضًا يَّسِيْرًا‏﴿46﴾‏

46.Summa qabadnaahu ilainaa qabdany yaseeraa

46.Then We retract it toward Ourselves, with a gentle retracting.

 

[06:08.00]

وَهُوَ الَّذِىْ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا وَّالنَّوْمَ سُبَاتًا وَّجَعَلَ النَّهَارَ نُشُوْرًا‏﴿47﴾‏

47.Wa Huwal lazee ja'ala lakumul laila libaasanw wannawma subaatanw wa ja'alan nahaara nushooraa

47.It is He who made for you the night as a covering and sleep for rest and He made the day a recall to life.

 

[06:18.00]

وَهُوَ الَّذِىْۤ اَرْسَلَ الرِّيٰحَ بُشْرًۢا بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَحْمَتِهٖ‌ۚ وَاَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً طَهُوْرًا ۙ‏﴿48﴾‏

48.Wa Huwal lazeee arsalar riyaaha bushram baina yadai rahmatih; wa anzalnaa minas samaaa'i maaa'an tahooraa

48.And it is He who sends the winds as harbingers of His mercy, and We send down from the sky purifying water,

 

[06:31.00]

لِّنُحْیِۦَ بِهٖ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا وَّنُسْقِيَهٗ مِمَّا خَلَقْنَاۤ اَنْعَامًا وَّاَنَاسِىَّ كَثِيْرًا‏﴿49﴾‏

49.Linuhyiya bihee balda tam maitanw wa nusqiyahoo mimmaa khalaqnaaa an'aa manw wa anaasiyya kaseeraa

49.with which We revive a dead country and provide water to many of the cattle and humans We have created.

 

[06:43.00]

وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنٰهُ بَيْنَهُمْ لِيَذَّكَّرُوْا ‌ ۖ ؗ ا فَاَبٰٓى اَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ اِلَّا كُفُوْرًا‏﴿50﴾‏

50.Wa laqad sarrafnaahu bainahum li yazzakkaroo fa abaaa aksarun naasi illaa kufooraa

50.Certainly We distribute it among them so that they may take admonition. But most people are only intent on ingratitude.

 

[06:53.00]

وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَبَعَثْنَا فِیْ كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ نَّذِيْرًا ‌ۖ ؗ ‏﴿51﴾‏

51.Wa law shi'naa laba'asnaa fee kulli qar yatin nazeeraa

51.Had We wished, We would have sent a warner to every town.

 

[07:00.00]

فَلَا تُطِعِ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ وَ جَاهِدْهُمْ بِهٖ جِهَادًا كَبِيْرًا‏﴿52﴾‏

52.Falaa tuti'il kaafireena wa jaahidhum bihee jihaadan kabeeraa

52.So do not obey the faithless, but wage a great jihad against them with it.

 

[07:07.00]

وَهُوَ الَّذِىْ مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ هٰذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ وَّهٰذَا مِلْحٌ‌ اُجَاجٌ ۚ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخًا وَّحِجْرًا مَّحْجُوْرًا‏﴿53﴾‏

53.Wa Huwal lazee marajal bahraini haazaa 'azbun furaatunw wa haazaa milhun ujaaj; wa ja'ala bainahumaa barzakhanw wa hijram mahjooraa

53.It is He who merged the two seas: this one sweet and agreeable, and that one briny and bitter, and between the two He set a barrier and a forbidding hindrance.

 

[07:24.00]

وَهُوَ الَّذِىْ خَلَقَ مِنَ الْمَآءِ بَشَرًا فَجَعَلَهٗ نَسَبًا وَّ صِهْرًا‌ ؕ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ قَدِيْرًا‏﴿54﴾‏

54.Wa Huwal lazee khalaqa minal maaa'i basharran fa ja'alahoo nasaban wa sihraa; wa kaana Rabbuka Qadeeraa

54.It is He who created the human being from water, then invested him with ties of blood and marriage, and your Lord is all-powerful.

 

[07:36.00]

وَيَعْبُدُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ‌ؕ وَكَانَ الْكَافِرُ عَلٰى رَبِّهٖ ظَهِيْرًا‏﴿55﴾‏

55.Wa ya'budoona min doonil laahi maa laa yanfa'uhum wa laa yadurruhum; wa kaanal kaafiru 'alaa Rabbihee zaheeraa

55.They worship besides Allah that which neither brings them any benefit nor causes them any harm, and the faithless one is ever an abettor against his Lord.

 

[07:48.00]

وَمَاۤ اَرْسَلْنٰكَ اِلَّا مُبَشِّرًا وَّنَذِيْرًا‏﴿56﴾‏

56.Wa maa arsalnaaka illaa mubashshiranw wa nazeeraa

56.We did not send you except as a bearer of good news and as a warner.

 

[07:54.00]

قُلْ مَاۤ اَسْئَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍ اِلَّا مَنْ شَآءَ اَنْ يَّتَّخِذَ اِلٰى رَبِّهٖ سَبِيْلًا‏﴿57﴾‏

57.Qul maaa as'alukum 'alaihi min ajrin illaa man shaaa'a ai yattakhiza ilaa Rabbihee sabeelaa

57.Say, ‘I do not ask you any reward for it, except that anyone who wishes should take the way to his Lord.’

 

[08:06.00]

وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى الْحَىِّ الَّذِىْ لَا يَمُوْتُ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِهٖ‌ ؕ وَكَفٰى بِهٖ بِذُنُوْبِ عِبَادِهٖ خَبِيْرَ ا‌ ۛۚ ۙ‏﴿58﴾‏

58.Wa tawakkal 'alal Haiyil lazee laa yamootu wa sabbih bihamdih; wa kafaa bihee bizunoobi 'ibaadihee khabeeraa

58.Put your trust in the Living One who does not die, and celebrate His praise. He suffices as one all-aware of the sins of His servants.

 

[08:18.00]

۟الَّذِىْ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِیْ سِتَّةِ اَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوٰى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ ‌ۛۚ اَلرَّحْمٰنُ فَسْئَلْ بِهٖ خَبِيْرًا‏﴿59﴾‏

59.Allazee khalaqas samaawaati wal arda wa maa bainahumaa fee sittati aiyaamin summmmastawaa 'alal 'Arsh; ar Rahmaanu fas'al bihee khabeeraa

59.He, who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days, and then settled on the Throne, the All-beneficent; so ask someone who is well aware about Him.

 

[08:37.00]

وَاِذَا قِيْلَ لَهُمُ اسْجُدُوْا لِلرَّحْمٰنِ قَالُوْا وَمَا الرَّحْمٰنُۗ اَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَاْمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُوْرًا ۩۠ ‏‏﴿60﴾‏

60.Wa izaa qeela lahumus judoo lir Rahmaani qaaloo wa mar Rahmaanu anasjudu limaa taamurunaa wa zaadahum nufooraa

60.When they are told: ‘Prostrate yourselves before the All-beneficent,’ they say, ‘What is ‘‘the All-beneficent’’? Shall we prostrate ourselves before whatever you bid us?’ And it increases their aversion.

 

[08:50.00]

تَبٰرَكَ الَّذِىْ جَعَلَ فِى السَّمَآءِ بُرُوْجًا وَّجَعَلَ فِيْهَا سِرٰجًا وَّقَمَرًا مُّنِيْرًا‏﴿61﴾‏

61.Tabaarakal lazee ja'ala fis samaaa'i buroojanw wa ja'ala feehaa siraajanw wa qamaram muneeraa

61.Blessed is He who appointed houses in the sky and set in it a lamp and a shining moon.

 

[09:03.00]

وَهُوَ الَّذِىْ جَعَلَ الَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ خِلْفَةً لِّمَنْ اَرَادَ اَنْ يَّذَّكَّرَ اَوْ اَرَادَ شُكُوْرًا‏﴿62﴾‏

62.Wa huwal lazee ja'alal laila wannahaara khilfatal liman araada ai yazzakkara aw araadaa shookooraa

62.It is He who made the night and the day alternate for someone who desires to take admonition, or desires to give thanks.

 

[09:14.00]

وَعِبَادُ الرَّحْمٰنِ الَّذِيْنَ يَمْشُوْنَ عَلَى الْاَرْضِ هَوْنًا وَّاِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ الْجٰهِلُوْنَ قَالُوْا سَلٰمًا‏﴿63﴾‏

63.Wa 'ibaadur Rahmaanil lazeena yamshoona 'alal ardi hawnanw wa izaa khaata bahumul jaahiloona qaaloo salaamaa

63.The servants of the All-beneficent are those who walk humbly on the earth, and when the ignorant address them, say, ‘Peace!’

 

[09:27.00]

وَالَّذِيْنَ يَبِيْتُوْنَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًا وَّقِيَامًا‏﴿64﴾‏

64.Wallazeena yabeetoona li Rabbihim sujjadanw wa qiyaamaa

64.Those who spend the night for their Lord, prostrating and standing [in worship].

 

[09:44.00]

وَالَّذِيْنَ يَقُوْلُوْنَ رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ ‌ۖ ۗ اِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا ‌ۖ ۗ ‏﴿65﴾‏

65.Wallazeena yaqooloona Rabbanas rif 'annnaa 'azaaba Jahannama inn 'azaabahaa kaana gharaamaa

65.Those who say, ‘Our Lord! Turn away from us the punishment of hell. Indeed its punishment is enduring.

اِنَّهَا سَآءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَّمُقَامًا‏﴿66﴾‏

66.Innahaa saaa'at mustaqarranw wa muqaamaa

66.Indeed it is an evil station and abode.’

وَالَّذِيْنَ اِذَاۤ اَنْفَقُوْا لَمْ يُسْرِفُوْا وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوْا وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذٰلِكَ قَوَامًا‏﴿67﴾‏

67.Wallazeena izaaa anfaqoo lam yusrifoo wa lam yaqturoo wa kaana baina zaalika qawaamaa

67.Those who are neither wasteful nor tightfisted when spending, but balanced between these [two extremes].

 

[10:23.00]

وَالَّذِيْنَ لَا يَدْعُوْنَ مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰهًا اٰخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُوْنَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِىْ حَرَّمَ اللّٰهُ اِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا يَزْنُوْنَ‌ ۚ وَمَنْ يَّفْعَلْ ذٰلِكَ يَلْقَ اَثَامًا ۙ‏﴿68﴾‏

68.Wallazeena laa yad'oona ma'al laahi ilaahan aakhara wa laa yaqtuloonan nafsal latee harramal laahu illaa bilhaqqi wa laa yaznoon; wa mai yaf'al zaalika yalqa asaamaa

68.Those who do not invoke another deity besides Allah, and do not kill a soul [whose life] Allah has made inviolable, except with due cause, and do not commit fornication. (Whoever does that shall encounter its retribution,

 

[10:38.00]

يُضٰعَفْ لَهُ الْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيْهٖ مُهَانًا ۖ ۗ ‏﴿69﴾‏

69.Yudaa'af lahul 'azaabu Yawmal Qiyaamati wa yakhlud feehee muhaanaa

69.the punishment being doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection. In it he will abide in humiliation forever,

اِلَّا مَنْ تَابَ وَاٰمَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًاصَالِحًا فَاُولٰٓئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ اللّٰهُ سَيِّاٰتِهِمْ حَسَنٰتٍ‌ ؕ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًا‏﴿70﴾‏

70.Illaa man taaba wa 'aamana wa 'amila 'amalan saalihan fa ulaaa'ika yubad dilul laahu saiyi aatihim hasanaat; wa kaanal laahu Ghafoorar Raheemaa

70.except those who repent, attain faith, and act righteously. For such, Allah will replace their misdeeds with good deeds, and Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.

 

[11:17.00]

وَمَنْ تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَاِنَّهٗ يَتُوْبُ اِلَى اللّٰهِ مَتَابًا‏﴿71﴾‏

71.Wa man taaba wa 'amila saalihan fa innnahoo yatoobu ilal laahi mataabaa

71.And whoever repents and acts righteously indeed turns to Allah with due penitence).

 

[11:27.00]

وَالَّذِيْنَ لَا يَشْهَدُوْنَ الزُّوْرَۙ وَ اِذَا مَرُّوْا بِاللَّغْوِ مَرُّوْا كِرَامًا‏﴿72﴾‏

72.Wallazeena laa yash hadoonaz zoora wa izaa marroo billaghwi marroo kiraamaa

72.Those who do not give false testimony, and when they come upon frivolity, pass by with dignity.

 

[11:36.00]

وَالَّذِيْنَ اِذَا ذُكِّرُوْا بِاٰيٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَمْ يَخِرُّوْا عَلَيْهَا صُمًّا وَّعُمْيَانًا‏﴿73﴾‏

73.Wallazeena izaa zukkiroo bi Aayaati Rabbihim lam yakhirroo 'alaihaa summanw wa'umyaanaa

73.Those who, when reminded of the signs of their Lord, do not turn a deaf ear and a blind eye to them.

 

[11:50.00]

وَالَّذِيْنَ يَقُوْلُوْنَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ اَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيّٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ اَعْيُنٍ وَّاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِيْنَ اِمَامًا‏﴿74﴾‏

74.Wallazeena yaqooloona Rabbanaa hab lanaa min azwaajinaa wa zurriyaatinaa qurrata a'yuninw waj 'alnaa lilmuttaqeena Imaamaa

74.And those who say, ‘Our Lord! Give us joy and comfort in our spouses and offspring, and make us imams of the Godwary.’

 

[12:18.00]

اُولٰٓئِكَ يُجْزَوْنَ الْغُرْفَةَ بِمَا صَبَرُوْا وَيُلَقَّوْنَ فِيْهَا تَحِيَّةً وَّسَلٰمًا ۙ‏﴿75﴾‏

75.Ulaaa'ika yujzawnal ghurfata bimaa sabaroo wa yulaqqawna feehaa tahiyyatanw wa salaamaa

75.Those shall be rewarded with sublime abodes for their patience and steadfastness, and they shall be met there with greetings and ‘Peace,’

 

[12:30.00]

خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَا‌ ؕ حَسُنَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَّمُقَامًا‏﴿76﴾‏

76.Khaalideena feehaa; hasunat mustaqarranw wa muqaamaa

76.to abide in them [forever], an excellent station and abode.

 

[12:39.00]

قُلْ مَا يَعْبَؤُا بِكُمْ رَبِّىْ لَوْلَا دُعَآؤُكُمْ‌ۚ فَقَدْ كَذَّبْتُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَكُوْنُ لِزَامًا۠ ‏‏﴿77﴾‏

77.Qul maa ya'ba'u bikum Rabbee law laa du'aaa'ukum faqad kazzabtum fasawfa yakoonu lizaamaa

77.Say, ‘Were it not for the sake of summoning you [to faith], what store my Lord would have set by you? But you impugned [me and my summons], so it will soon follow as a result.’

أعوذُ بِٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ

A'udhu billahi min ash-shaytaan-ir-rajeem

I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the accursed

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

طٰسٓمّٓ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Taa-Seeen-Meeem

1.Ta, Seen, Meem.

 

[13:06.00]

تِلْكَ اٰيٰتُ الْكِتٰبِ الْمُبِيْنِ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Tilka Aayaatul Kitaabil Mubeen

2.These are the signs of the Manifest Book.

 

[13:10.00]

لَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ اَلَّا يَكُوْنُوْا مُؤْمِنِيْنَ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.La'allaka baakhi'un nafsaka allaa yakoonoo mu'mineen

3.You are liable to imperil your life [out of distress] that they will not have faith.

 

[13:18.00]

اِنْ نَّشَاْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِمْ مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ اٰيَةً فَظَلَّتْ اَعْنَاقُهُمْ لَهَا خٰضِعِيْنَ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.In nashaa nunazzil 'alaihim minas samaaa'i Aayatan fazallat a'naaquhum lahaa khaadi'een

4.If We wish We will send down to them a sign from the sky before which their heads will remain bowed in humility.

 

[13:30.00]

وَمَا يَاْتِيْهِمْ مِّنْ ذِكْرٍ مِّنَ الرَّحْمٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ اِلَّا كَانُوْا عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِيْنَ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Wa maa yaateehim min zikrim minar Rahmaani muhdasin illaa kaanoo 'anhu mu'rideen

5.There does not come to them any new reminder from the All-beneficent but that they disregard it.

 

[13:39.00]

فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوْا فَسَيَاْتِيْهِمْ اَنْۢبٰٓؤُا مَا كَانُوْا بِهٖ يَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Faqad kazzaboo fasa yaateehim ambaaa'u maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon

6.They have already denied [the truth], but soon there will come to them the news of what they have been deriding.

 

[13:48.00]

اَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا اِلَى الْاَرْضِ كَمْ اَنْۢبَتْنَا فِيْهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيْمٍ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Awa lam yaraw ilal ardi kam ambatnaa feehaa min kulli zawjin kareem

7.Have they not regarded the earth, how many of every splendid kind [of vegetation] We have caused to grow in it?

 

[13:57.00]

اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً‌ ؕ وَّمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Inn fee zaalika la Aayah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu'mineen

8.There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith.

 

[14:04.00]

وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الرَّحِيْمُ۠ ‏‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Wa inna Rabbaka la Huwal 'Azeezur Raheem

9.Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful.

 

[14:09.00]

وَاِذْ نَادٰى رَبُّكَ مُوْسٰۤى اَنِ ائْتِ الْقَوْمَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَۙ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Wa iz naadaa Rabbuka Moosaaa ani'-til qawmaz zaalimeen

10.When your Lord called out to Moses: [saying,] ‘Go to those wrongdoing people,

 

[14:15.00]

قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ‌ؕ اَلَا يَتَّقُوْنَ‌‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Qawma Fir'awn; alaa yattaqoon

11.the people of Pharaoh. Will they not be wary [of Allah]?’

 

[14:22.00]

قَالَ رَبِّ اِنِّىْۤ اَخَافُ اَنْ يُّكَذِّبُوْنِؕ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Qaala Rabbi inneee akhaafu ai yukazziboon

12.He said, ‘My Lord! I fear they will impugn me,

 

[14:28.00]

وَيَضِيْقُ صَدْرِىْ وَلَا يَنْطَلِقُ لِسَانِىْ فَاَرْسِلْ اِلٰى هٰرُوْنَ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Wa yadeequ sadree wa laa yantaliqu lisaanee fa arsil ilaa Haaroon

13.and I will become upset and my tongue will fail me. So send for Aaron [to join me].

 

[14:35.00]

وَلَهُمْ عَلَىَّ ذَنْۢبٌ فَاَخَافُ اَنْ يَّقْتُلُوْنِ‌ۚ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Wa lahum 'alaiya zambun fa akhaafu ai yaqtuloon

14.Besides, they have a charge against me, and I fear they will kill me.’

 

[14:42.00]

قَالَ كَلَّا‌ ۚ فَاذْهَبَا بِاٰيٰتِنَآ‌ اِنَّا مَعَكُمْ مُّسْتَمِعُوْنَ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Qaala kallaa fazhabaa bi Aayaatinaaa innaa ma'akum mustami'oon

15.He said, ‘Certainly not! Let both of you go with Our signs: We will indeed be with you, hearing [everything].

 

[14:49.00]

فَاْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُوْلَاۤ اِنَّا رَسُوْلُ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَۙ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Faatiyaa Fir'awna faqoolaaa innaa Rasoolu Rabbil 'aalameen

16.So approach Pharaoh and say, ‘‘We are indeed envoys of the Lord of the worlds

 

[14:56.00]

اَنْ اَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِىْۤ اِسْرَآءِيْلَ ؕ‏﴿17﴾‏

17.An arsil ma'anaa Baneee Israaa'eel

17.that you let the Children of Israel leave with us.’’ ’

 

[15:02.00]

قَالَ اَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِيْنَا وَلِيْدًا وَّلَبِثْتَ فِيْنَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِيْنَۙ‏﴿18﴾‏

18.Qaala alam nurabbika feenaa waleedanw wa labista feenaa min 'umurika sineen

18.He [i.e. Pharaoh] said, ‘Did we not rear you as a child among us, and did you not stay with us for years of your life?

 

[15:11.00]

وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ الَّتِىْ فَعَلْتَ وَاَنْتَ مِنَ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ‏﴿19﴾‏

19.Wa fa'alta fa'latakal latee fa'alta wa anta minal kaafireen

19.Then you committed that deed of yours, and you are an ingrate.’

 

[15:17.00]

قَالَ فَعَلْتُهَاۤ اِذًا وَّاَنَا مِنَ الضَّآلِّيْنَؕ‏﴿20﴾‏

20.Qaala fa'altuhaaa izanw wa ana minad daaaleen

20.He said, ‘I did that when I was astray.

 

[15:24.00]

فَفَرَرْتُ مِنْكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِىْ رَبِّىْ حُكْمًا وَّجَعَلَنِىْ مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ‏﴿21﴾‏

21.Fafarartu minkum lam maa khiftukum fawahaba lee Rabbee hukmanw wa ja'alanee minal mursaleen

21.So I fled from you, as I was afraid of you. Then my Lord gave me sound judgement and made me one of the apostles.

 

[15:35.00]

وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَىَّ اَنْ عَبَّدْتَّ بَنِىْۤ اِسْرَآءِيْلَ ؕ‏﴿22﴾‏

22.Wa tilka ni'matun tamun nuhaa 'alaiya an 'abbatta Baneee Israaa'eel

22.That you have enslaved the Children of Israel—is that the favour with which you reproach me?’

 

[15:44.00]

قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَا رَبُّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَؕ‏﴿23﴾‏

23.Qaala Fir'awnu wa maa Rabbul 'aalameen

23.He said, ‘And what is ‘‘the Lord of all the worlds?’’ ’

 

[15:48.00]

قَالَ رَبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَاؕ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُّوْقِنِيْنَ‏﴿24﴾‏

24.Qaala Rabbus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa bainahumaa in kuntum mooqineen

24.He said, ‘The Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them,—should you have conviction.’

 

[15:57.00]

قَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهٗۤ اَلَا تَسْتَمِعُوْنَ‏﴿25﴾‏

25.Qaala liman hawlahooo alaa tastami'oon

25.He said to those who were around him, ‘Don’t you hear?!’

 

[16:01.00]

قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ اٰبَآئِكُمُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ‏﴿26﴾‏

26.Qaala Rabbukum wa Rabbu aabaaa'ikumul awwaleen

26.He said, ‘Your Lord, and the Lord of your forefathers!’

 

[16:09.00]

قَالَ اِنَّ رَسُوْلَكُمُ الَّذِىْۤ اُرْسِلَ اِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْنُوْنٌ‏﴿27﴾‏

27.Qaala inna Rasoolakumul lazee ursila ilaikum lamajnoon

27.He said, ‘Indeed your messenger, who has been sent to you, is surely crazy!’

 

[16:16.00]

قَالَ رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ؕ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْقِلُوْنَ‏﴿28﴾‏

28.Qaala Rabbul mashriqi wal maghribi wa maa baina humaa in kuntum ta'qiloon

28.He said, ‘The Lord of the east and the west and whatever is between them—should you exercise your reason.’

 

[16:25.00]

قَالَ لَئِنِ اتَّخَذْتَ اِلٰهًا غَيْرِىْ لَاَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ الْمَسْجُوْنِيْنَ‏﴿29﴾‏

29.Qaala la'init takhazta ilaahan ghairee la aj'alannaka minal masjooneen

29.He said, ‘If you take up any god other than me, I will surely make you a prisoner!’

 

[16:33.00]

قَالَ اَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَىْءٍ مُّبِيْنٍ‌ۚ‏﴿30﴾‏

30.Qaala awalw ji'tuka bishai'im mubeen

30.He said, ‘What if I bring you something [as an] unmistakable [proof]?’

 

[16:37.00]

قَالَ فَاْتِ بِهٖۤ اِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيْنَ‏﴿31﴾‏

31.Qaala faati biheee in kunta minas saadiqeen

31.He said, ‘Then bring it, should you be truthful.’

 

[16:42.00]

‌فَاَ لْقٰى عَصَاهُ فَاِذَا هِىَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُّبِيْنٌ‌ ۖ ‌‌ۚ‏﴿32﴾‏

32.Fa alqaa 'asaahu fa izaaa hiya su'baanum Mubeen

32.Thereat he threw down his staff, and behold, it was a manifest python.

 

[16:50.00]

وَّنَزَعَ يَدَهٗ فَاِذَا هِىَ بَيْضَآءُ لِلنّٰظِرِيْنَ۠ ‏‏﴿33﴾‏

33.Wa naza'a yadahoo faizaa hiya baidaaa'u linnaa zireen

33.Then he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white and bright to the onlookers.

 

[16:58.00]

قَالَ لِلْمَلَاِ حَوْلَهٗۤ اِنَّ هٰذَا لَسٰحِرٌ عَلِيْمٌۙ‏﴿34﴾‏

34.Qaala lilmala-i hawlahooo inna haazaa lasaahirun 'aleem

34.He said to the elite [who stood] around him, ‘This is indeed an expert magician

 

[17:05.00]

يُّرِيْدُ اَنْ يُّخْرِجَكُمْ مِّنْ اَرْضِكُمْ بِسِحْرِهٖ ‌ۖ ۗ فَمَاذَا تَاْمُرُوْنَ‌‏﴿35﴾‏

35.Yureedu ai yukhrijakum min ardikum bisihrihee famaazaa taamuroon

35.who seeks to expel you from your land with his magic. So what do you advise?’

 

[17:13.00]

قَالُوْۤا اَرْجِهْ وَاَخَاهُ وَابْعَثْ فِى الْمَدَآئِنِ حٰشِرِيْنَۙ‏﴿36﴾‏

36.Qaalooo arjih wa akhaahu wab'as filmadaaa'ini haashireen

36.They said, ‘Put him and his brother off for a while, and send heralds to the cities

 

[17:20.00]

يَاْتُوْكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيْمٍ‏﴿37﴾‏

37.Yaatooka bikulli sah haarin 'aleem

37.to bring you every expert magician.’

 

[17:24.00]

فَجُمِعَ السَّحَرَةُ لِمِيْقَاتِ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُوْمٍۙ‏﴿38﴾‏

38.Fa jumi'as saharatu limeeqaati Yawmim ma'loom

38.So the magicians were gathered for the tryst of a known day,

 

[17:29.00]

وَّقِيْلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ اَنْتُمْ مُّجْتَمِعُوْنَۙ‏﴿39﴾‏

39.Wa qeela linnaasi hal antum mujtami'oon

39.and the people were told: ‘Will you all gather?!’

 

[17:35.00]

لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ السَّحَرَةَ اِنْ كَانُوْا هُمُ الْغٰلِبِيْنَ‏﴿40﴾‏

40.La'allanaa nattabi'us saharata in kaanoo humul ghaalibeen

40.‘Maybe we will follow the magicians, if they are victors!’

 

[17:41.00]

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ السَّحَرَةُ قَالُوْا لِفِرْعَوْنَ اَئِنَّ لَنَا لَاَجْرًا اِنْ كُنَّا نَحْنُ الْغٰلِبِيْنَ‏﴿41﴾‏

41.Falammaa jaaa'as saharatu qaaloo li Fir'awna a'inna lanaa la ajjran in kunnaa nahnul ghaalibeen

41.So when the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh, ‘Shall we have a reward if we were to be the victors?’

 

[17:52.00]

قَالَ نَعَمْ وَاِنَّكُمْ اِذًا لَّمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ‏﴿42﴾‏

42.Qaala na'am wa innakum izal laminal muqarrabeen

42.He said, ‘Of course; and you will be among members of my inner circle.’

 

[17:58.00]

قَالَ لَهُمْ مُّوْسٰۤى اَلْقُوْا مَاۤ اَنْتُمْ مُّلْقُوْنَ‏﴿43﴾‏

43.Qaala lahum Moosaaa alqoo maaa antum mulqoon

43.Moses said to them, ‘Throw down whatever you have to throw!’

 

[18:04.00]

فَاَلْقَوْا حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِيَّهُمْ وَقَالُوْا بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ اِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الْغٰلِبُوْنَ‏﴿44﴾‏

44.Fa alqaw hibaalahum wa 'isiyyahum wa qaaloo bi'izzati Fir'awna innaa lanahnul ghaaliboon

44.So they threw down their sticks and ropes, and said, ‘By the might of Pharaoh, we shall surely be victorious!’

 

[18:14.00]

فَاَ لْقٰى مُوْسٰى عَصَاهُ فَاِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَاْفِكُوْنَ‌ ۖ ‌ۚ‏﴿45﴾‏

45.Fa alqaa Moosaa 'asaahu fa izaa hiya talqafu maa yaafikoon

45.Thereat Moses threw down his staff, and behold, it was swallowing what they had faked.

 

[18:22.00]

فَاُلْقِىَ السَّحَرَةُ سٰجِدِيْنَۙ‏﴿46﴾‏

46.Fa ulqiyas saharatu saajideen

46.Thereat the magicians fell down prostrating.

 

[18:26.00]

قَالُوْۤا اٰمَنَّا بِرَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَۙ‏﴿47﴾‏

47.Qaalooo aamannaa bi Rabbil 'aalameen

47.They said, ‘We believe in the Lord of all the worlds,

 

[18:30.00]

رَبِّ مُوْسٰى وَهٰرُوْنَ‏﴿48﴾‏

48.the Lord of Moses and Aaron.’

48.Rabbi Moosaa wa Haaroon

 

[18:33.00]

قَالَ اٰمَنْتُمْ لَهٗ قَبْلَ اَنْ اٰذَنَ لَكُمْ‌ۚ اِنَّهٗ لَكَبِيْرُكُمُ الَّذِىْ عَلَّمَكُمُ السِّحْرَ‌ۚ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَ۬ ۙ لَاُقَطِّعَنَّ اَيْدِيَكُمْ وَاَرْجُلَكُمْ مِّنْ خِلَافٍ وَّلَاُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ اَجْمَعِيْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿49﴾‏

49.Qaala aamantum lahoo qabla an aazana lakum innahoo lakabeerukumul lazee 'alla makumus sihra falasawfa ta'lamoon; la uqatti'anna aidiyakum wa arjulakum min khilaafinw wa la usallibanna kum ajma'een

49.He [i.e. Pharaoh] said, ‘Do you profess faith in Him before I should permit you? He is indeed your chief who has taught you magic! Soon you will know! I will cut off your hands and feet from opposite sides, and I will crucify you all.’

 

[18:56.00]

قَالُوْا لَا ضَيْرَ‌ؗ اِنَّاۤ اِلٰى رَبِّنَا مُنْقَلِبُوْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿50﴾‏

50.Qaaloo la daira innaaa ilaa Rabbinaa munqalliboon

50.They said, ‘[There is] no harm [in that]! Indeed, we shall return to our Lord.

 

[19:07.00]

اِنَّا نَطْمَعُ اَنْ يَّغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطٰيٰنَاۤ اَنْ كُنَّاۤ اَوَّلَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ۠ ‏ؕ‏﴿51﴾‏

51.Innaa natma'u ai yaghfira lanaa Rabbunna khataa yaanaaa an kunnaaa awwalal mu'mineen

51.Indeed we hope our Lord will forgive us our offences for being the first to believe.’

 

[19:19.00]

وَاَوْحَيْنَاۤ اِلٰى مُوْسٰٓى اَنْ اَسْرِ بِعِبَادِىْۤ اِنَّكُمْ مُّتَّبَعُوْنَ‏﴿52﴾‏

52.Wa awhainaaa ilaa Moosaaa an asri bi'ibaadeee innakum muttaba'oon

52.Then We revealed to Moses, [saying],‘Set out with My servants at night, for you will be pursued.’

 

[19:28.00]

فَاَرْسَلَ فِرْعَوْنُ فِى الْمَدَآئِنِ حٰشِرِيْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿53﴾‏

53.Fa arsala Fir'awnu filmadaaa'ini haashireen

53.Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities,

 

[19:33.00]

اِنَّ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ لَشِرْذِمَةٌ قَلِيْلُوْنَۙ‏﴿54﴾‏

54.Inna haaa'ulaaa'i lashir zimatun qaleeloon

54.[proclaiming:] ‘These are indeed a small band.

 

[19:38.00]

وَاِنَّهُمْ لَنَا لَغَآئِظُوْنَۙ‏﴿55﴾‏

55.Wa innahum lanaa laghaaa'izoon

55.They have aroused our wrath,

 

[19:42.00]

وَاِنَّا لَجَمِيْعٌ حٰذِرُوْنَؕ‏﴿56﴾‏

56.Wa innaa lajamee'un haaziroon

56.and we are alert and fully prepared.’

 

[19:46.00]

فَاَخْرَجْنٰهُمْ مِّنْ جَنّٰتٍ وَّعُيُوْنٍۙ‏﴿57﴾‏

57.Fa akhrajnaahum min Jannaatinw wa 'uyoon

57.So We took them out of gardens and springs,

 

[19:52.00]

وَّكُنُوْزٍ وَّمَقَامٍ كَرِيْمٍۙ‏﴿58﴾‏

58.Wa kunoozinw wa ma qaamin kareem

58.and [made them leave behind] treasures and stately homes.

 

[19:55.00]

كَذٰلِكَؕ وَاَوْرَثْنٰهَا بَنِىْۤ اِسْرَآءِيْلَؕ‏﴿59﴾‏

59.Kazaalika wa awrasnaahaa Baneee Israaa'eel

59.So it was; and We bequeathed them to the Children of Israel.

 

[20:02.00]

فَاَ تْبَعُوْهُمْ مُّشْرِقِيْنَ‏﴿60﴾‏

60.Fa atba'oohum mushriqeen

60.Then they pursued them at sunrise.

 

[20:05.00]

فَلَمَّا تَرَآءَ الْجَمْعٰنِ قَالَ اَصْحٰبُ مُوْسٰٓى اِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُوْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿61﴾‏

61.Falammaa taraaa'al jam'aani qaala as haabu Moosaaa innaa lamudrakoon

61.When the two hosts sighted each other, the companions of Moses said, ‘Indeed we have been caught up.’

 

[20:14.00]

قَالَ كَلَّا‌‌ ۚ اِنَّ مَعِىَ رَبِّىْ سَيَهْدِيْنِ‏﴿62﴾‏

62.Qaala kallaaa inna ma'iya Rabbee sa yahdeen

62.He said, ‘Certainly not! Indeed my Lord is with me. He will guide me.’

 

[20:20.00]

فَاَوْحَيْنَاۤ اِلٰى مُوْسٰٓى اَنِ اضْرِبْ بِّعَصَاكَ الْبَحْرَ‌ؕ فَانْفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ كَالطَّوْدِ الْعَظِيْمِ‌ۚ‏﴿63﴾‏

63.Fa awhainaaa ilaa Moosaaa anidrib bi'asaakal bahra fanfalaqa fakaana kullu firqin kattawdil 'azeem

63.Thereupon We revealed to Moses: ‘Strike the sea with your staff!’ Whereupon it parted, and each part was as if it were a great mountain.

 

[20:34.00]

وَاَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ الْاٰخَرِيْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿64﴾‏

64.Wa azlafnaa sammal aakhareen

64.There, We brought the others near,

 

[20:38.00]

وَاَنْجَيْنَا مُوْسٰى وَمَنْ مَّعَهٗۤ اَجْمَعِيْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿65﴾‏

65.Wa anjainaa Moosaa wa mam ma'ahooo ajma'een

65.and We delivered Moses and all those who were with him.

 

[20:42.00]

ثُمَّ اَغْرَقْنَا الْاٰخَرِيْنَ‌ؕ‏﴿66﴾‏

66.Summa aghraqnal aakhareen

66.Then We drowned the rest.

 

[20:46.00]

اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاَيَةً ‌ ؕ وَمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ‏﴿67﴾‏

67.Inna fee zaalika la Aayaah; wa maa kaana aksaru hu mu'mineen

67.There is indeed a sign in that, but most of them do not have faith.

 

[20:53.00]

وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الرَّحِيْمُ۠ ‏‏﴿68﴾‏

68.Wa inna Rabbaka la Huwal 'Azeezur Raheem

68.Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful.

 

[20:58.00]

وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَاَ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ‌ۘ‏﴿69﴾‏

69.Watlu 'alaihim naba-a Ibraaheem

69.Relate to them the account of Abraham

 

[21:02.00]

اِذْ قَالَ لِاَبِيْهِ وَقَوْمِهٖ مَا تَعْبُدُوْنَ‏﴿70﴾‏

70.Iz qaala li abeehi wa qawmihee maa ta'budoon

70.when he said to his father and his people, ‘What is it that you are worshiping?!’

 

[21:06.00]

قَالُوْا نَعْبُدُ اَصْنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عٰكِفِيْنَ‏﴿71﴾‏

71.Qaaloo na'budu asnaaman fanazallu lahaa 'aakifeen

71.They said, ‘We worship idols, and are constant in our devotion to them.’

 

[21:12.00]

قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُوْنَكُمْ اِذْ تَدْعُوْنَۙ‏﴿72﴾‏

72.Qaala hal yasma'oona kum iz tad'oon

72.He said, ‘Do they hear you when you call them?

 

[21:17.00]

اَوْ يَنْفَعُوْنَكُمْ اَوْ يَضُرُّوْنَ‏﴿73﴾‏

73.Aw yanfa'oonakum aw yadurroon

73.Or do they bring you any benefit, or cause you any harm?’

 

[21:22.00]

قَالُوْا بَلْ وَجَدْنَاۤ اٰبَآءَنَا كَذٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُوْنَ‏﴿74﴾‏

74.Qaaloo bal wajadnaaa aabaaa 'anaa kazaalika yaf'aloon

74.They said, ‘Indeed, we found our fathers doing likewise.’

 

[21:30.00]

قَالَ اَفَرَءَيْتُمْ مَّا كُنْتُمْ تَعْبُدُوْنَۙ‏﴿75﴾‏

75.Qaala afara 'aitum maa kuntum ta'budoon

75.He said, ‘Have you regarded what you have been worshipping,

 

[21:34.00]

اَنْتُمْ وَاٰبَآؤُكُمُ الْاَقْدَمُوْنَ ‌ۖ ؗ ‏﴿76﴾‏

76.Antum wa aabaaa'ukumul aqdamoon

76.you and your ancestors?

 

[21:40.00]

فَاِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِّىْۤ اِلَّا رَبَّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَۙ‏﴿77﴾‏

77.Fa innahum 'aduwwwul leee illaa Rabbal 'aalameen

77.They are indeed enemies to me, but the Lord of all the worlds,

 

[21:47.00]

الَّذِىْ خَلَقَنِىْ فَهُوَ يَهْدِيْنِۙ‏﴿78﴾‏

78.Allazee khalaqanee fa Huwa yahdeen

78.who created me, it is He who guides me,

 

[21:51.00]

وَ الَّذِىْ هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِىْ وَيَسْقِيْنِۙ‏﴿79﴾‏

79.Wallazee Huwa yut'imunee wa yasqeen

79.and provides me with food and drink,

 

[21:57.00]

وَاِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِيْنِ۪ ۙ‏﴿80﴾‏

80.Wa izaa mardtu fahuwa yashfeen

80.and when I get sick, it is He who cures me;

 

[22:03.00]

وَالَّذِىْ يُمِيْتُنِىْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيْنِۙ‏﴿81﴾‏

81.Wallazee yumeetunee summa yuhyeen

81.who will make me die, then He will bring me to life,

 

[22:09.00]

وَالَّذِىْۤ اَطْمَعُ اَنْ يَّغْفِرَ لِىْ خَطِٓیْئَتِىْ يَوْمَ الدِّيْنِ ؕ‏﴿82﴾‏

82.Wallazeee atma'u ai yaghfira lee khateee' atee Yawmad Deen

82.and who, I hope, will forgive me my faults on the Day of Retribution.’

 

[22:18.00]

رَبِّ هَبْ لِىْ حُكْمًا وَّاَلْحِقْنِىْ بِالصّٰلِحِيْنَۙ‏﴿83﴾‏

83.Rabbi hab lee hukmanw wa alhiqnee bis saaliheen

83.My Lord! Grant me [unerring] judgement, and unite me with the Righteous.

 

[22:24.00]

وَاجْعَلْ لِّىْ لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِى الْاٰخِرِيْنَۙ‏﴿84﴾‏

84.Waj'al lee lisaana sidqin fil aakhireen

84.Confer on me a worthy repute among the posterity,

 

[22:29.00]

وَاجْعَلْنِىْ مِنْ وَّرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعِيْمِۙ‏﴿85﴾‏

85.Waj'alnee minw warasati Jannnatin Na'eem

85.and make me one of the heirs to the paradise of bliss.

 

[22:35.00]

وَاغْفِرْ لِاَبِىْۤ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ مِنَ الضَّآلِّيْنَۙ‏﴿86﴾‏

86.Waghfir li abeee innahoo kaana mind daalleen

86.Forgive my father, for he is one of those who are astray.

 

[22:44.00]

وَلَا تُخْزِنِىْ يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُوْنَۙ‏﴿87﴾‏

87.Wa laa tukhzinee Yawma yub'asoon

87.Do not disgrace me on the day that they will be resurrected,

 

[22:48.00]

يَوْمَ لَا يَنْفَعُ مَالٌ وَّلَا بَنُوْنَۙ‏﴿88﴾‏

88.Yawma laa yanfa'u maalunw wa laa banoon

88.the day when neither wealth nor children will avail,

 

[22:54.00]

اِلَّا مَنْ اَتَى اللّٰهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيْمٍؕ‏﴿89﴾‏

89.Illaa man atal laaha biqalbin saleem

89.except him who comes to Allah with a sound heart,’

 

[23:06.00]

وَاُزْلِفَتِ الْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِيْنَۙ‏﴿90﴾‏

90.Wa uzlifatil Jannatu lilmuttaqeen

90.and paradise will be brought near for the Godwary,

 

[23:12.00]

وَبُرِّزَتِ الْجَحِيْمُ لِلْغٰوِيْنَۙ‏﴿91﴾‏

91.Wa burrizatil Jaheemu lilghaaween

91.and hell will be brought into view for the perverse,

 

[23:16.00]

وَقِيْلَ لَهُمْ اَيْنَمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْبُدُوْنَۙ‏﴿92﴾‏

92.Wa qeela lahum aina maa kuntum ta'budoon

92.and they shall be told: ‘Where is that which you used to worship

 

[23:21.00]

مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِؕ هَلْ يَنْصُرُوْنَكُمْ اَوْ يَنْتَصِرُوْنَؕ‏﴿93﴾‏

93.Min doonil laahi hal yansuroonakum aw yantasiroon

93.besides Allah? Do they help you, or do they help each other?’

 

[23:29.00]

فَكُبْكِبُوْا فِيْهَا هُمْ وَالْغَاوٗنَۙ‏﴿94﴾‏

94.Fakubkiboo feehaa hum walghaawoon

94.Then they will be cast into it on their faces—they and the perverse,

 

[23:33.00]

وَجُنُوْدُ اِبْلِيْسَ اَجْمَعُوْنَؕ‏﴿95﴾‏

95.Wa junoodu Ibleesa ajma'oon

95.and the hosts of Iblis all together.

 

[23:37.00]

قَالُوْا وَهُمْ فِيْهَا يَخْتَصِمُوْنَۙ‏﴿96﴾‏

96.Qaaloo wa hum feehaa yakkhtasimoon

96.They will say, as they wrangle in it [together],

 

[23:41.00]

تَاللّٰهِ اِنْ كُنَّا لَفِیْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيْنٍۙ‏﴿97﴾‏

97.Tallaahi in kunnaa lafee dalaalim mubeen

97.By Allah, we had indeed been in manifest error

 

[23:46.00]

اِذْ نُسَوِّيْكُمْ بِرَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ‏﴿98﴾‏

98.Iz nusawweekum bi Rabbil 'aalameen

98.when we equated you with the Lord of all the worlds!

 

[23:51.00]

وَمَاۤ اَضَلَّنَاۤ اِلَّا الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ‏﴿99﴾‏

99.Wa maaa adallanaaa illal mujrimoon

99.No one led us astray except the guilty.

 

[23:56.00]

فَمَا لَنَا مِنْ شٰفِعِيْنَۙ‏﴿100﴾‏

100.Famaa lanaa min shaa fi'een

100.Now we have no intercessors,

 

[24:00.00]

وَلَا صَدِيْقٍ حَمِيْمٍ‏﴿101﴾‏

101.Wa laa sadeeqin hameem

101.nor do we have any sympathetic friend.

 

[24:09.00]

فَلَوْ اَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَكُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ‏﴿102﴾‏

102.Falaw anna lanaa karratan fanakoona minal mu'mineen

102.Had there been another turn for us, we would be among the faithful.’

 

[24:15.00]

اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً‌  ؕ وَّمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ‏﴿103﴾‏

103.Inna fee zaalika la Aayatanw wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu'mineen

103.There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith.

 

[24:24.00]

وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الرَّحِيْمُ۠ ‏‏﴿104﴾‏

104.Wa inna Rabbaka la Huwal 'Azeezur Raheem

104.Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful.

 

[24:30.00]

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوْحِ۟الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ‌ ۖ‌ۚ‏﴿105﴾‏

105.Kazzabat qawmu Noohinil Mursaleen

105.The people of Noah impugned the apostles

 

[24:36.00]

اِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ اَخُوْهُمْ نُوْحٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿106﴾‏

106.Iz qaala lahum akhoohum Noohun alaa tattaqoon

106.when Noah, their brother, said to them, ‘Will you not be wary [of Allah]?

 

[24:42.00]

اِنِّىْ لَكُمْ رَسُوْلٌ اَمِيْنٌۙ‏﴿107﴾‏

107.Innee lakum Rasoolun ameen

107.Indeed I am a trusted apostle [sent] to you.

 

[24:46.00]

فَاتَّقُوْا اللّٰهَ وَ اَطِيْعُوْنِ‌ۚ‏﴿108﴾‏

108.Fattaqullaaha wa atee'oon

108.So be wary of Allah and obey me.

 

[24:50.00]

وَمَاۤ اَسْئَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍ‌ۚ اِنْ اَجْرِىَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿109﴾‏

109.Wa maaa as'alukum 'alaihi min ajrin in ajriya illaa 'alaa Rabbil 'aalameen

109.I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward lies only with the Lord of all the worlds.

 

[24:57.00]

فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِ ؕ‏﴿110﴾‏

110.Fattaqul laaha wa atee'oon

110.So be wary of Allah and obey me.’

 

[25:01.00]

قَالُوْۤا اَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَاتَّبَعَكَ الْاَرْذَلُوْنَؕ‏﴿111﴾‏

111.Qaalooo anu'minu laka wattaba 'akal arzaloon

111.They said, ‘Shall we believe in you, when it is the riffraff who follow you?’

 

[25:06.00]

قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِىْ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿112﴾‏

112.Qaala wa maa 'ilmee bimaa kaanoo ya'maloon

112.He said, ‘What do I know as to what they used to do?

 

[25:11.00]

اِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّىْ‌ لَوْ تَشْعُرُوْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿113﴾‏

113.In hisaabuhum illaa 'alaa Rabbee law tash'uroon

113.Their reckoning is only with my Lord, should you be aware.

 

[25:17.00]

وَمَاۤ اَنَا بِطَارِدِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿114﴾‏

114.Wa maaa ana bitaaridil mu'mineen

114.I will not drive away the faithful.

 

[25:21.00]

اِنْ اَنَا اِلَّا نَذِيْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌؕ‏﴿115﴾‏

115.In ana illaa nazeerum mubeen

115.I am just a manifest warner.’

 

[25:24.00]

قَالُوْا لَئِنْ لَّمْ تَنْتَهِ يٰنُوْحُ لَتَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْمَرْجُوْمِيْنَؕ‏﴿116﴾‏

116.Qaaloo la'il lam tantahi yaa Noohu latakoonanna minal marjoomeen

116.They said, ‘Noah, if you do not desist, you will certainly be stoned [to death].’

 

[25:31.00]

قَالَ رَبِّ اِنَّ قَوْمِىْ كَذَّبُوْنِ‌ ۖ‌ۚ‏﴿117﴾‏

117.Qaala Rabbi inna qawmee kazzaboon

117.He said, ‘My Lord! Indeed my people have impugned me.

 

[25:36.00]

فَافْتَحْ بَيْنِىْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَّنَجِّنِىْ وَمَنْ مَّعِىَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ‏﴿118﴾‏

118.Faftab bainee wa bai nahum fat hanw wa najjinee wa mam ma'iya minal mu'mineen

118.So judge conclusively between me and them, and deliver me and the faithful who are with me.’

 

[25:45.00]

فَاَنْجَيْنٰهُ وَمَنْ مَّعَهٗ فِى الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُوْنِ‌ۚ‏﴿119﴾‏

119.Fa anjainaahu wa mamma'ahoo fil fulkil mashhoon

119.Thereupon We delivered him and those who were with him in the laden ark.

 

[25:51.00]

ثُمَّ اَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ الْبٰقِيْنَؕ‏﴿120﴾‏

120.Summa aghraqnaa ba'dul baaqeen

120.Then We drowned the rest.

 

[25:55.00]

اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاَيَةً‌  ؕ وَّمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ‏﴿121﴾‏

121.Inna fee zaalika la Aayaah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu'mineen

121.There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith.

 

[26:03.00]

وَ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الرَّحِيْمُ۠ ‏‏﴿122﴾‏

122.Wa inna Rabbaka la huwal 'Azeezur Raheem

122.Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful.

 

[26:08.00]

كَذَّبَتْ عَادُ ۟الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ ‌ۖ ‌ۚ‏﴿123﴾‏

123.Kazzabat 'Aadunil mursaleen

123.[The people of] ‘Ad impugned the apostles,

 

[26:12.00]

اِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ اَخُوْهُمْ هُوْدٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿124﴾‏

124.Iz qaala lahum akhoohum Hoodun alaa tattaqoon

124.when Hud, their brother, said to them, ‘Will you not be wary [of Allah]?

 

[26:16.00]

اِنِّىْ لَكُمْ رَسُوْلٌ اَمِيْنٌ‌ۙ‏﴿125﴾‏

125.Innee lakum Rasoolun ameen

125.Indeed I am a trusted apostle [sent] to you.

 

[26:20.00]

فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِ‌ ۚ‏﴿126﴾‏

126.Fattaqullaaha wa atee'oon

126.So be wary of Allah and obey me.

 

[26:24.00]

وَمَاۤ اَسْئَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍ‌ۚ اِنْ اَجْرِىَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ؕ‏﴿127﴾‏

127.Wa maa as'alukum 'alaihi min ajrin in ajriya illaa 'alaa Rabbil 'aalameen

127.I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward lies only with the Lord of all the worlds.

 

[26:32.00]

اَتَبْنُوْنَ بِكُلِّ رِيْعٍ اٰيَةً تَعْبَثُوْنَۙ‏﴿128﴾‏

128.Atabnoona bikulli ree'in aayatan ta'basoon

128.Do you build futile a sign on every prominence?

 

[26:37.00]

وَ تَتَّخِذُوْنَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُوْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿129﴾‏

129.Wa tattakhizoona masaani'a la'allakum takhludoon

129.You set up structures as if you will be immortal,

 

[26:43.00]

وَاِذَا بَطَشْتُمْ بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِيْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿130﴾‏

130.Wa izaa batashtum batashtum jabbaareen

130.and when you seize [someone for punishment], you seize [him] like tyrants.

 

[26:47.00]

فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِ‌ ۚ‏﴿131﴾‏

131.Fattaqul laaha wa atee'oon

131.So be wary of Allah and obey me.

 

[26:51.00]

وَاتَّقُوْا الَّذِىْۤ اَمَدَّكُمْ بِمَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿132﴾‏

132.Wattaqul lazeee amad dakum bimaa ta'lamoon

132.Be wary of Him who has provided you with whatever you know,

 

[26:56.00]

اَمَدَّكُمْ بِاَنْعَامٍ وَّبَنِيْنَ ‌ۚۙ‏﴿133﴾‏

133.Amaddakum bi an'aa minw wa baneen

133.and aided you with sons and with cattle,

 

[26:58.00]

وَجَنّٰتٍ وَّعُيُوْنٍ‌ۚ‏﴿134﴾‏

134.Wa jannaatinw wa 'uyoon

134.gardens and springs.

 

[27:03.00]

اِنِّىْۤ اَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيْمٍؕ‏﴿135﴾‏

135.Innee akhaafu 'alaikum 'azaaba Yawmin 'azeem

135.Indeed I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous day.’

 

[27:09.00]

قَالُوْا سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَاۤ اَوَعَظْتَ اَمْ لَمْ تَكُنْ مِّنَ الْوٰعِظِيْنَۙ‏﴿136﴾‏

136.Qaaloo sawaaa'un 'alainaaa awa 'azta am lam takum minal waa'izeen

136.They said, ‘It is the same to us whether you exhort us or not.

 

[27:17.00]

اِنْ هٰذَاۤ اِلَّا خُلُقُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَۙ‏﴿137﴾‏

137.In haazaaa illaa khuluqul awwaleen

137.These are nothing but the traditions of the ancients,

 

[27:20.00]

وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِيْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿138﴾‏

138.Wa maa nahnu bimu 'azzabeen

138.and we will not be punished.’

 

[27:24.00]

فَكَذَّبُوْهُ فَاَهْلَكْنٰهُمْ‌ؕ اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاَيَةً‌ ؕ وَ مَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ‏﴿139﴾‏

139.Fakazzaboohu fa ahlaknaahum; inna fee zaalika la aayah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu'mineen

139.So they impugned him, whereupon We destroyed them. There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith.

 

[27:36.00]

وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الرَّحِيْمُ۠ ‏‏﴿140﴾‏

140.Wa inna Rabbaka la huwal 'Azeezur Raheem

140.Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful.

 

[27:40.00]

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُوْدُ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ‌ ۖ‌ۚ‏﴿141﴾‏

141.Kazzabat Samoodul mursaleen

141.[The people of] Thamud impugned the apostles

 

[27:44.00]

اِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ اَخُوْهُمْ صٰلِحٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿142﴾‏

142.Iz qaala lahum akhoohum Saalihun alaa tattaqoon

142.when Salih, their brother, said to them, ‘Will you not be wary [of Allah]?

 

[27:49.00]

اِنِّىْ لَكُمْ رَسُوْلٌ اَمِيْنٌۙ‏﴿143﴾‏

143.Innee lakum Rasoolun ameen

143.Indeed I am a trusted apostle [sent] to you.

 

[27:53.00]

فَاتَّقُوْا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِ‌ۚ‏﴿144﴾‏

144.Fattaqul laaha wa atee'oon

144.So be wary of Allah and obey me.

 

[27:57.00]

وَمَاۤ اَسْئَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍ‌ۚ اِنْ اَجْرِىَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَؕ‏﴿145﴾‏

145.Wa maaa as'alukum 'alaihi min ajrin in ajriya illaa 'alaa Rabbil 'aalameen

145.I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward lies only with the Lord of all the worlds.

 

[28:05.00]

اَتُتْرَكُوْنَ فِیْ مَا هٰهُنَاۤ اٰمِنِيْنَۙ‏﴿146﴾‏

146.Atutrakoona fee maa haahunnaaa aamineen

146.Will you be left secure in that which is here

 

[28:10.00]

فِیْ جَنّٰتٍ وَّعُيُوْنٍۙ‏﴿147﴾‏

147.Fee jannaatinw wa 'uyoon

147.—amid gardens and springs,

 

[28:13.00]

وَّزُرُوْعٍ وَّنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيْمٌ‌ۚ‏﴿148﴾‏

148.Wa zuroo inw wa nakhlin tal 'uhaa hadeem

148.farms and date palms with dainty spathes

 

[28:17.00]

وَتَنْحِتُوْنَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوْتًا فٰرِهِيْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿149﴾‏

149.Wa tanhitoona minal jibaali buyootan faariheen

149.—while you skillfully hew out houses from the mountains?

 

[28:23.00]

فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِ‌ ۚ‏﴿150﴾‏

150.Fattaqul laaha wa atee'oon

150.So be wary of Allah and obey me,

 

[28:26.00]

وَلَا تُطِيْعُوْۤا اَمْرَ الْمُسْرِفِيْنَۙ‏﴿151﴾‏

151.Wa laa tutee'ooo amral musrifeen

151.and do not obey the dictates of the transgressors,

 

[28:30.00]

الَّذِيْنَ يُفْسِدُوْنَ فِى الْاَرْضِ وَ لَا يُصْلِحُوْنَ‏﴿152﴾‏

152.Allazeena yufsidoona fil ardi wa laa yuslihoon

152.who cause corruption in the land and do not bring about reform.’

 

[28:34.00]

قَالُوْۤا اِنَّمَاۤ اَنْتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِيْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿153﴾‏

153.Qaalooo innamaa anta minal musahhareen

153.They said, ‘Indeed you are one of the bewitched.

 

[28:40.00]

مَاۤ اَنْتَ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا ‌ ۖۚ فَاْتِ بِاٰيَةٍ اِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيْنَ‏﴿154﴾‏

154.Maaa anta illaa basharum mislunaa faati bi Aayatin in kunta minas saadiqeen

154.You are just a human being like us. So bring us a sign, should you be truthful.’

 

[28:49.00]

قَالَ هٰذِهٖ نَاقَةٌ لَّهَا شِرْبٌ وَّلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُوْمٍ‌ۚ‏﴿155﴾‏

155.Qaala haazihee naaqatul lahaa shirbunw w alakum shirbu yawmim ma'loom

155.He said, ‘This is a she-camel; she shall drink and you shall drink on known days.

 

[28:57.00]

وَلَا تَمَسُّوْهَا بِسُوْٓءٍ فَيَاْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيْمٍ‏﴿156﴾‏

156.Wa laa tamassoohaa bisooo'in fa yaakhuzakum 'azaabu Yawmin 'Azeem

156.Do not cause her any harm, for then you shall be seized by the punishment of a terrible day.’

 

[29:06.00]

فَعَقَرُوْهَا فَاَصْبَحُوْا نٰدِمِيْنَۙ‏﴿157﴾‏

157.Fa'aqaroohaa fa asbahoo naadimeen

157.But they hamstrung her, whereupon they became regretful.

 

[29:10.00]

فَاَخَذَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ‌ؕ اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً‌  ؕ وَمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ‏﴿158﴾‏

158.Fa akhazahumul 'azaab; inna fee zaalika la Aayah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum m'mineen

158.So the punishment seized them. There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith.

 

[29:21.00]

وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الرَّحِيْمُ۠ ‏‏﴿159﴾‏

159.Wa inna Rabbaka la Huwal 'Azeezur Raheem

159.Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful.

 

[29:26.00]

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوْطٍ ۟الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ‌ ۖ ‌ۚ‏﴿160﴾‏

160.kazzabat qawmu Lootinil mursaleen

160.The people of Lot impugned the apostles

 

[29:31.00]

اِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ اَخُوْهُمْ لُوْطٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿161﴾‏

161.Iz qaala lahum akhoohum Lootun alaa tattaqoon

161.when Lot, their brother, said to them, ‘Will you not be wary [of Allah]?

 

[29:36.00]

اِنِّىْ لَكُمْ رَسُوْلٌ اَمِيْنٌۙ‏﴿162﴾‏

162.Innee lakum rasoolun ameen

162.Indeed I am a trusted apostle [sent] to you.

 

[29:40.00]

فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِ‌ۚ‏﴿163﴾‏

163.Fattaqul laaha wa atee'oon

163.So be wary of Allah and obey me.

 

[29:43.00]

وَمَاۤ اَسْئَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍ‌ۚ اِنْ اَجْرِىَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ؕ‏﴿164﴾‏

164.Wa maaa as'alukum 'alaihi min ajrin in ajriya illaa 'alaa Rabbil 'aalameen

164.I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward lies only with the Lord of all the worlds.

 

[29:52.00]

اَتَاْتُوْنَ الذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ الْعٰلَمِيْنَۙ‏﴿165﴾‏

165.Ataatoonaz zukraana minal 'aalameen

165.What! Of all people do you come to males,

 

[29:57.00]

وَ تَذَرُوْنَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ مِّنْ اَزْوَاجِكُمْ‌ؕ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ عٰدُوْنَ‏﴿166﴾‏

166.Wa tazaroona maa khalaqa lakum Rabbukum min azwaajikum; bal antum qawmun 'aadoon

166.abandoning your wives your Lord has created for you? Indeed, you are a transgressing lot.’

 

[30:07.00]

قَالُوْا لَئِنْ لَّمْ تَنْتَهِ يٰلُوْطُ لَتَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْمُخْرَجِيْنَ‏﴿167﴾‏

167.Qaloo la'il lam tantahi yaa Lootu latakoonanna minal mukhrajeen

167.They said, ‘Lot, if you do not desist, you will surely be banished.’

 

[30:15.00]

قَالَ اِنِّىْ لِعَمَلِكُمْ مِّنَ الْقَالِيْنَؕ‏﴿168﴾‏

168.Qaala innee li'amalikum minal qaaleen

168.He said, ‘Indeed I detest your conduct.’

 

[30:20.00]

رَبِّ نَجِّنِىْ وَاَهْلِىْ مِمَّا يَعْمَلُوْنَ‏﴿169﴾‏

169.Rabbi najjjinee wa ahlee mimmmaa ya'maloon

169.‘My Lord! Deliver me and my family from what they do.

 

[30:26.00]

فَنَجَّيْنٰهُ وَ اَهْلَهٗۤ اَجْمَعِيْنَۙ‏﴿170﴾‏

170.Fanajjainaahu wa ahlahooo ajma'een

170.So We delivered him and all his family,

 

[30:30.00]

اِلَّا عَجُوْزًا فِى الْغٰبِرِيْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿171﴾‏

171.Illaa 'ajoozan filghaabireen

171.except an old woman who remained behind.

 

[30:34.00]

ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْاٰخَرِيْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿172﴾‏

172.Summa dammarnal aa khareen

172.Then We destroyed [all] the rest,

 

[30:38.00]

وَاَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَّطَرًا‌ۚ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ الْمُنْذَرِيْنَ‏﴿173﴾‏

173.Wa amtarnaa 'alaihim mataran fasaaa'a matarul munzareen

173.and rained down upon them a rain [of stones]. Evil was the rain of those who were warned!

 

[30:49.00]

اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاَيَةً‌  ؕ وَمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ‏﴿174﴾‏

174.Inna fee zaalika la Aayah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu'mineen

174.There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith.

 

[30:58.00]

وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الرَّحِيْمُ۠ ‏‏﴿175﴾‏

175.Wa inna Rabbaka la Huwal 'Azeezur Raheem

175.Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful.

 

[31:07.00]

كَذَّبَ اَصْحٰبُ لْئَيْكَةِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ ‌ۖ‌ۚ‏﴿176﴾‏

176.Kazzaba As haabul Aykatil mursaleen

176.The inhabitants of Aykah impugned the apostles,

 

[31:12.00]

اِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿177﴾‏

177.Iz qaala lahum Shu'aybun alaa tattaqoon

177.when Shu‘ayb said to them, ‘Will you not be wary [of Allah]?

 

[31:16.00]

اِنِّىْ لَكُمْ رَسُوْلٌ اَمِيْنٌۙ‏﴿178﴾‏

178.Innee lakum Rasoolun ameen

178.Indeed I am a trusted apostle [sent] to you.

 

[31:20.00]

فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِ‌ۚ‏﴿179﴾‏

179.Fattaqul laaha wa atee'oon

179.So be wary of Allah and obey me.

 

[31:23.00]

وَمَاۤ اَسْئَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍ‌ۚ اِنْ اَجْرِىَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ؕ‏﴿180﴾‏

180.Wa maaa as'alukum 'alaihi min ajrin in ajriya illaa 'alaa Rabbil 'aalameen

180.I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward lies only with the Lord of all the worlds.

 

[31:32.00]

اَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُوْنُوْا مِنَ الْمُخْسِرِيْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿181﴾‏

181.Awful kaila wa laa takoonoo minal mukhsireen

181.Observe the full measure, and do not be of those who give short measure.

 

[31:36.00]

وَزِنُوْا بِالْقِسْطَاسِ الْمُسْتَقِيْمِ‌ۚ‏﴿182﴾‏

182.Wa zinoo bilqistaasil mustaqeem

182.Weigh with an even balance,

 

[31:41.00]

وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ اَشْيَآءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِى الْاَرْضِ مُفْسِدِيْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿183﴾‏

183.Wa laa tabkhasun naasa ashyaaa 'ahum wa laa ta'saw fil ardi mufsideen

183.and do not cheat the people of their goods. Do not act wickedly on the earth, causing corruption.

 

[31:50.00]

وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِىْ خَلَقَكُمْ وَالْجِبِلَّةَ الْاَوَّلِيْنَؕ‏﴿184﴾‏

184.Wattaqul lazee khalaqakum waljibillatal awwaleen

184.Be wary of Him who created you and the earlier generations.’

 

[31:56.00]

قَالُوْۤا اِنَّمَاۤ اَنْتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِيْنَۙ‏﴿185﴾‏

185.Qaalooo innamaa anta minal musahhareen

185.They said, ‘Indeed you are one of the bewitched.

 

[32:01.00]

وَمَاۤ اَنْتَ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا وَ اِنْ نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ الْكٰذِبِيْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿186﴾‏

186.Wa maaa anta illaa basharum mislunaa wa innazunnuka laminal kaazibeen

186.You are just a human being like us, and we indeed consider you to be a liar.

 

[32:10.00]

فَاَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًا مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ اِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيْنَؕ‏﴿187﴾‏

187.Fa asqit 'alainaa kisafam minas samaaa'i in kunta minas saadiqeen

187.Make a fragment of the sky falls upon us, should you be truthful.’

 

[32:22.00]

قَالَ رَبِّىْۤ اَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ‏﴿188﴾‏

188.Qaala Rabbeee a'lamu bimaa ta'maloon

188.He said, ‘My Lord knows best what you are doing.’

 

[32:27.00]

فَكَذَّبُوْهُ فَاَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ الظُّلَّةِ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيْمٍ‏﴿189﴾‏

189.Fakazzaboohu fa akhazahum 'azaabu Yawmiz zullah; innahoo kaana 'azaaba Yawmin 'Azeem

189.So they impugned him, and then they were overtaken by the punishment of the day of the overshadowing cloud. It was indeed the punishment of a terrible day.

 

[32:38.00]

اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاَيَةً ‌ ؕ وَمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ‏﴿190﴾‏

190.Inna fee zaalika la Aayah; wa maa kaana aksaruhum mu'mineen

190.There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith.

 

[32:46.00]

وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الرَّحِيْمُ۠ ‏‏﴿191﴾‏

191.Wa inna Rabbaka la huwal 'Azeezur Raheem

191.Indeed your Lord is the All-mighty, the All-merciful.

 

[32:52.00]

وَاِنَّهٗ لَتَنْزِيْلُ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَؕ‏﴿192﴾‏

192.Wa innahoo latanzeelu Rabbil 'aalameen

192.This is indeed [a Book] sent down by the Lord of all the worlds,

 

[32:58.00]

نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوْحُ الْاَمِيْنُۙ‏﴿193﴾‏

193.Nazala bihir Roohul Ameen

193.brought down by the Trustworthy Spirit

 

[33:02.00]

عَلٰى قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُنْذِرِيْنَۙ‏﴿194﴾‏

194.'Alaa qalbika litakoona minal munzireen

194.upon your heart (so that you may be one of the warners),

 

[33:08.00]

بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِىٍّ مُّبِيْنٍؕ‏﴿195﴾‏

195.Bilisaanin 'Arabiyyim mubeen

195.in a clear Arabic language.

 

[33:13.00]

وَاِنَّهٗ لَفِیْ زُبُرِ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ‏﴿196﴾‏

196.Wa innahoo lafee Zuburil awwaleen

196.It is indeed [foretold] in the scriptures of the ancients.

 

[33:18.00]

اَوَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَّهُمْ اٰيَةً اَنْ يَّعْلَمَهٗ عُلَمٰٓؤُا بَنِىْۤ اِسْرَآءِيْلَؕ‏﴿197﴾‏

197.Awalam yakul lahum Aayatan ai ya'lamahoo 'ulamaaa'u Baneee Israaa'eel

197.Is it not a sign for them that the learned of the Children of Israel recognize it?

 

[33:31.00]

وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنٰهُ عَلٰى بَعْضِ الْاَعْجَمِيْنَۙ‏﴿198﴾‏

198.Wa law nazzalnaahu 'alaa ba'dil a'jameen

198.Had We sent it down upon some non-Arab

 

[33:35.00]

فَقَرَاَهٗ عَلَيْهِمْ مَّا كَانُوْا بِهٖ مُؤْمِنِيْنَؕ‏﴿199﴾‏

199.Faqara ahoo 'alaihim maa kaanoo bihee mu'mineen

199.and had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it.

 

[33:41.00]

كَذٰلِكَ سَلَكْنٰهُ فِیْ قُلُوْبِ الْمُجْرِمِيْنَؕ‏﴿200﴾‏

200.Kazaalika salaknaahu fee quloobil mujrimeen

200.This is how We let it pass through the hearts of the guilty:

 

[33:48.00]

لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِهٖ حَتّٰى يَرَوُا الْعَذَابَ الْاَلِيْمَۙ‏﴿201﴾‏

201.Laa yu'minoona bihee hattaa yarawul 'azaabal aleem

201.they do not believe in it until they sight the painful punishment.

 

[33:54.00]

فَيَاْتِيَهُمْ بَغْتَةً وَّهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُوْنَۙ‏﴿202﴾‏

202.Fayaatiyahum baghtatanw wa hum laa yash'uroon

202.It will overtake them suddenly while they are unaware.

 

[34:07.00]

فَيَقُوْلُوْا هَلْ نَحْنُ مُنْظَرُوْنَؕ‏﴿203﴾‏

203.Fa yaqooloo hal nahnu munzaroon

203.Thereupon they will say, ‘Shall we be granted any respite?’

 

[34:13.00]

اَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُوْنَ‏﴿204﴾‏

204.Aafabi 'azaabinaa yasta'jiloon

204.So do they seek to hasten on Our punishment?

 

[34:19.00]

اَفَرَءَيْتَ اِنْ مَّتَّعْنٰهُمْ سِنِيْنَۙ‏﴿205﴾‏

205.Aara'aita im matta'naahum sineen

205.Tell me, should We let them enjoy for some years,

 

[34:30.00]

ثُمَّ جَآءَهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا يُوْعَدُوْنَۙ‏﴿206﴾‏

206.Summa jaaa'ahum maa kaanoo yoo'adoon

206.then there comes to them what they have been promised,

 

[34:38.00]

مَاۤ اَغْنٰى عَنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا يُمَتَّعُوْنَؕ‏﴿207﴾‏

207.Maaa aghnaaa 'anhum maa kaanoo yumaatoo'oon

207.of what avail to them will be that which they were given to enjoy?

 

[34:54.00]

وَمَاۤ اَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ اِلَّا لَهَا مُنْذِرُوْنَ‌‌‌‌‌ ۛ ‌ۖ ۗ ‏﴿208﴾‏

208.Wa maaa ahlaknaa min qaryatin illaa lahaa munziroon

208.We have not destroyed any town without its having warners,

 

[35:01.00]

ذِكْرٰى‌ۛ وَمَا كُنَّا ظٰلِمِيْنَ‏﴿209﴾‏

209.Zikraa wa maa kunnaa zaalimeen

209.for the sake of admonition, and We were not unjust.

 

[35:06.00]

وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ الشَّيٰطِيْنُ‏﴿210﴾‏

210.Wa maa tanazzalat bihish Shayaateen

210.It has not been brought down by the devils.

 

[35:11.00]

وَمَا يَنْۢبَغِىْ لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيْعُوْنَؕ‏﴿211﴾‏

211.Wa maa yambaghee lahum wa maa yastatee'oon

211.Neither does it behoove them, nor are they capable [of doing that].

 

[35:18.00]

اِنَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُوْلُوْنَؕ‏

212.Innahum 'anis sam'i lama'zooloon

212.Indeed, they are kept at bay [even] from hearing it.

 

[35:25.00]

فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰهًا اٰخَرَ فَتَكُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُعَذَّبِيْنَ‌ۚ‏

213.Falaa tad'u ma'al laahi ilaahan aakhara fatakoona minal mu'azzabeen

213.So do not invoke any god besides Allah, lest you should be among the punished.

 

[35:33.00]

وَاَنْذِرْ عَشِيْرَتَكَ الْاَقْرَبِيْنَۙ‏

214.Wa anzir 'asheeratakal aqrabeen

214.Warn the nearest of your kinsfolk,

 

[35:39.00]

وَاخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ‌ۚ‏

215.Wakhfid janaahaka limanit taba 'aka minal mu'mineen

215.and lower your wing to the faithful who follow you.

 

[35:45.00]

فَاِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ اِنِّىْ بَرِىْٓءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُوْنَ‌ۚ‏

216.Fa in asawka faqul innee bareee'um mimmmaa ta'maloon

216.But if they disobey you, say, ‘I am absolved of what you do.’

 

[35:54.00]

وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى الْعَزِيْزِ الرَّحِيْمِۙ‏

217.Wa tawakkal alal 'Azeezir Raheem

217.And put your trust in the All-mighty, the All-merciful,

 

[36:06.00]

الَّذِىْ يَرٰٮكَ حِيْنَ تَقُوْمُۙ‏

218.Allazee yaraaka heena taqoom

218.who sees you when you stand [for prayer],

 

[36:12.00]

وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِى السّٰجِدِيْنَ‏

219.Wa taqallubaka fis saajideen

219.and your going about among those who prostrate.

 

[36:16.00]

اِنَّهٗ هُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ‏

220.Innahoo Huwas Samee'ul 'Aleem

220.Indeed He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing.

 

[36:27.00]

هَلْ اُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلٰى مَنْ تَنَزَّلُ الشَّيٰطِيْنُؕ‏

221.Hal unabbi'ukum 'alaa man tanazzalush Shayaateen

221.Should I inform you on whom the devils descend?

 

[36:34.00]

تَنَزَّلُ عَلٰى كُلِّ اَفَّاكٍ اَثِيْمٍۙ‏

222.Tanazzalu 'alaa kulli affaakin aseem

222.They descend on every sinful liar.

 

[36:39.00]

يُّلْقُوْنَ السَّمْعَ وَاَكْثَرُهُمْ كٰذِبُوْنَؕ‏

223.Yulqoonas sam'a wa aksaruhum aaziboon

223.They eavesdrop, and most of them are liars.

 

[36:43.00]

وَالشُّعَرَآءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ الْغَاوٗنَؕ‏

224.Washshu 'araaa'u yattabi 'uhumul ghaawoon

224.As for the poets, [only] the perverse follow them.

 

[36:50.00]

اَلَمْ تَرَ اَنَّهُمْ فِیْ كُلِّ وَادٍ يَّهِيْمُوْنَۙ‏

225.Alam tara annahum fee kulli waadiny yaheemoo

225.Have you not regarded that they rove in every valley,

 

[36:55.00]

وَاَنَّهُمْ يَقُوْلُوْنَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُوْنَۙ‏

226.Wa annahum yaqooloona ma laa yaf'aloon

226.and that they say what they do not do?

 

[37:01.00]

اِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا اللّٰهَ كَثِيْرًا وَّانْتَصَرُوْا مِنْۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوْا‌ ؕ وَسَيَعْلَمُ الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْۤا اَىَّ مُنْقَلَبٍ يَّنْقَلِبُوْنَ۠ ‏‏

227.Illal lazeena aamanoo w a'amilus saalihaati wa zakarul laaha kaseeranw wantasaroo mim ba'di maa zulimoo; wa saya'lamul lazeena zalamooo aiya munqalbiny yanqaliboon

227.Barring those who have faith, do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much often, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. And the wrongdoers will soon know at what goal they will end up.

النمل / An-Naml / The Ant

[37:26.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[37:28.00]

طٰسٓ‌ تِلْكَ اٰيٰتُ الْقُرْاٰنِ وَكِتَابٍ مُّبِيْنٍۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Taa-Seeen; tilka Aayaatul Qur-aani wa Kitaabim Mubeen

1.Ta, Seen. These are the signs of the Quran and a manifest Book,

 

[37:39.00]

هُدًى وَّبُشْرٰى لِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Hudanw wa bushraa lil mu'mineen

2.a guidance and good news for the faithful

 

[37:43.00]

الَّذِيْنَ يُقِيْمُوْنَ الصَّلٰوةَ وَيُؤْتُوْنَ الزَّكٰوةَ وَ هُمْ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوْقِنُوْنَ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Allazeena yuqeemoonas Salaata wa yu'toonaz Zakaata wa hum bil Aakhirati hum yooqinoon

3.—those who maintain the prayer and pay the zakat, and who are certain of the Hereafter.

 

[37:52.00]

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ زَيَّنَّا لَهُمْ اَعْمَالَهُمْ فَهُمْ يَعْمَهُوْنَؕ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Innal lazeena laa yu'mimoona bil Aakhirati zaiyannaa lahum a'maalahum fahum ya'mahoon

4.As for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds seem decorous to them, and so they are bewildered.

 

[38:03.00]

اُولٰٓئِكَ الَّذِيْنَ لَهُمْ سُوْٓءُ الْعَذَابِ وَهُمْ فِى الْاٰخِرَةِ هُمُ الْاَخْسَرُوْنَ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Ulaaa'ikal lazeena lahum sooo'ul 'azaabi wa hum fil Aakhirati humul akhsaroon

5.They are the ones for whom there is a terrible punishment, and they are the ones who will be the biggest losers in the Hereafter.

 

[38:15.00]

وَاِنَّكَ لَتُلَقَّى الْقُرْاٰنَ مِنْ لَّدُنْ حَكِيْمٍ عَلِيْمٍ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Wa innaka latulaqqal Qur-aana mil ladun Hakeemin 'Aleem

6.Indeed you receive the Quran from One who is all-wise, all-knowing.

 

[38:23.00]

اِذْ قَالَ مُوْسٰى لِاَهْلِهٖۤ اِنِّىْۤ اٰنَسْتُ نَارًاؕ سَاٰتِيْكُمْ مِّنْهَا بِخَبَرٍ اَوْ اٰتِيْكُمْ بِشِهَابٍ قَبَسٍ لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَصْطَلُوْنَ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Iz qaala Moosaa li ahliheee inneee aanastu naaran saaateekum minhaa bikhabarin aw aateekum bishihaabin qabasil la'allakum tastaloon

7.When Moses said to his family, ‘Indeed I descry a fire! I will bring you some news from it, or bring you a firebrand so that you may warm yourselves.’

 

[38:38.00]

فَلَمَّا جَآءَهَا نُوْدِىَ اَنْۢ بُوْرِكَ مَنْ فِى النَّارِ وَ مَنْ حَوْلَهَا ؕ وَسُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Falammaa jaaa'ahaa noodiya am boorika man finnnnaari wa man hawlahaa wa Subhaanal laahi Rabbil 'aalameen

8.When he came to it, he was called: ‘Blessed is He who is in the fire and who is [as well] around it, and immaculate is Allah, the Lord of all the worlds!’

 

[38:53.00]

يٰمُوْسٰۤى اِنَّهٗۤ اَنَا اللّٰهُ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُۙ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Yaa Moosaaa innahooo Anal laahul 'Azeezul Hakeem

9.‘O Moses! Indeed I am Allah, the All-mighty, the All-wise.’

 

[38:59.00]

وَاَ لْقِ عَصَاكَ‌ ؕ فَلَمَّا رَاٰهَا تَهْتَزُّ كَاَنَّهَا جَآنٌّ وَّلّٰى مُدْبِرًا وَّلَمْ يُعَقِّبْ‌ ؕ يٰمُوْسٰى لَا تَخَفْ اِنِّىْ لَا يَخَافُ لَدَىَّ الْمُرْسَلُوْنَ ‌ۖۗ ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Wa alqi 'asaak; falammmaa ra aahaa tahtazzu ka annahaa jaaannunw wallaa mudbiranw wa lam yu'aqqib; yaa Moosaa laa takhaf innee laa yakhaafu ladaiyal mursaloon

10.‘Throw down your staff!’ When he saw it wriggling, as if it were a snake, he turned his back [to flee], without looking back. ‘O Moses! ‘Do not be afraid. Indeed the apostles are not afraid before Me,

 

[39:22.00]

اِلَّا مَنْ ظَلَمَ ثُمَّ بَدَّلَ حُسْنًۢا بَعْدَ سُوْٓءٍ فَاِنِّىْ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Illaa man zalama summa baddala husnam ba'da sooo'in fa innee Ghafoorur Raheem

11.nor those who do wrong and then make up for [their] fault with goodness, for indeed I am all-forgiving, all-merciful.’

 

[39:34.00]

وَاَدْخِلْ يَدَكَ فِیْ جَيْبِكَ تَخْرُجْ بَيْضَآءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ سُوْٓءٍ‌ فِیْ تِسْعِ اٰيٰتٍ اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ وَقَوْمِهٖؕ اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا قَوْمًا فٰسِقِيْنَ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Wa adkhil yadaka fee jaibika takhruj baidaaa'a min ghairisooo'in feetis'i Aayaatin ilaa Fir'awna wa qawmih; innahum kaanoo qawman faasiqeen

12.‘Insert your hand into your shirt. It will emerge white and bright, without any fault—among nine signs meant for Pharaoh and his people. Indeed they are a transgressing lot.’

 

[39:53.00]

فَلَمَّا جَآءَتْهُمْ اٰيٰتُنَا مُبْصِرَةً قَالُوْا هٰذَا سِحْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ‌ۚ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Falammaa jaaa'at hum Aayaatunaa mubsiratan qaaloo haazaa sihrum Mubee

13.But when Our signs came to them, as eye-openers, they said, ‘This is plain magic.’

 

[40:02.00]

وَجَحَدُوْا بِهَا وَاسْتَيْقَنَتْهَاۤ اَنْفُسُهُمْ ظُلْمًا وَّعُلُوًّا‌ ؕ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُفْسِدِيْنَ۠ ‏‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Wa jahadoo bihaa wastaiqanat haaa anfusuhum zulmanw-wa 'uluwwaa; fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul mufsideen

14.They impugned them, wrongfully and out of arrogance, though they were convinced in their hearts [of their veracity]. So observe how the fate of the agents of corruption was!

 

[40:15.00]

وَلَقَدْ اٰتَيْنَا دَاوٗدَ وَ سُلَيْمٰنَ عِلْمًا‌ ۚ وَقَالَا الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِىْ فَضَّلَنَا عَلٰى كَثِيْرٍ مِّنْ عِبَادِهِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Wa laqad aatainaa Daawooda wa sulaimaana 'ilmaa; wa qaalal hamdu lil laahil lazee faddalanaa 'alaa kaseerim min 'ibaadihil mu'mineen

15.Certainly, We gave knowledge to David and Solomon, and they said, ‘All praise belongs to Allah, who granted us an advantage over many of His faithful servants.’

 

[40:29.00]

وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمٰنُ دَاوٗدَ‌ وَقَالَ يٰۤاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنْطِقَ الطَّيْرِ وَاُوْتِيْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ شَىْءٍؕ‌ اِنَّ هٰذَا لَهُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْمُبِيْنُ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Wa warisa Sulaimaanu Daawooda wa qaala yaaa aiyuhan naasu 'ullimnaa mantiqat tairi wa ooteenaa min kulli shai'in inna haazaa lahuwal fadlul mubeen

16.Solomon inherited from David, and he said, ‘O people! We have been taught the speech of the birds, and we have been given out of everything. Indeed this is a manifest advantage.’

 

[40:46.00]

وَحُشِرَ لِسُلَيْمٰنَ جُنُوْدُهٗ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْاِنْسِ وَالطَّيْرِ فَهُمْ يُوْزَعُوْنَ‏﴿17﴾‏

17.Wa hushira Sulaimaana junooduhoo minal jinni wal insi wattairi fahum yooza'oon

17.[Once] Solomon’s hosts were marched out for him, comprising jinn, humans and birds, and they were held in check.

 

[40:55.00]

حَتّٰٓى اِذَاۤ اَتَوْا عَلٰى وَادِ النَّمْلِۙ قَالَتْ نَمْلَةٌ يّٰۤاَيُّهَا النَّمْلُ ادْخُلُوْا مَسٰكِنَكُمْ‌ۚ لَا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ سُلَيْمٰنُ وَجُنُوْدُهٗۙ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ‏﴿18﴾‏

18.hattaaa izaaa ataw 'alaa waadin namli qaalat namlatuny yaaa aiyuhan namlud khuloo masaakinakum laa yahtimannakum Sulaimaanu wa junooduhoo wa hum laa yash'uroon

18.When they came to the Valley of Ants, an ant said, ‘O ants! Enter your dwellings, lest Solomon and his hosts should trample on you while they are unaware.’

 

[41:23.00]

فَتَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِكًا مِّنْ قَوْلِهَا وَقَالَ رَبِّ اَوْزِعْنِىْۤ اَنْ اَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِىْۤ اَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ وَعَلٰى وَالِدَىَّ وَاَنْ اَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضٰٮهُ وَاَدْخِلْنِىْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِیْ عِبَادِكَ الصّٰلِحِيْنَ‏﴿19﴾‏

19.Fatabassama daahikam min qawlihaa wa qaala Rabbi awzi'nee an ashkura ni'mata kal lateee an'amta 'alaiya wa 'alaa waalidaiya wa an a'mala saalihan tardaahu wa adkhilnee birahmatika fee 'ibaadikas saaliheen

19.Whereat he smiled, amused at its words, and he said, ‘My Lord! Inspire me to give thanks for Your blessing with which You have blessed me and my parents, and that I may do righteous deeds which please You, and admit me, by Your mercy, among Your righteous servants.’

 

[41:51.00]

وَتَفَقَّدَ الطَّيْرَ فَقَالَ مَا لِىَ لَاۤ اَرَى الْهُدْهُدَ ‌ۖ ؗ اَمْ كَانَ مِنَ الْغَآئِبِيْنَ‏﴿20﴾‏

20.Wa tafaqqadat taira faqaala maa liya laaa aral hud hud, am kaana minal ghaaa'ibeen

20.[One day] he reviewed the birds, and said, ‘Why do I not see the hoopoe? Or is he absent?’

 

[42:01.00]

لَاُعَذِّبَنَّهٗ عَذَابًا شَدِيْدًا اَوْ لَاۡاَذْبَحَنَّهٗۤ اَوْ لَيَاْتِيَنِّىْ بِسُلْطٰنٍ مُّبِيْنٍ‏﴿21﴾‏

21.La-u'azzibanahoo 'azaaban shadeedan aw la azbahannahoo aw layaatiyannee bisultaanim Mubeen

21.‘I will punish him with a severe punishment, or I will behead him, unless he brings me a credible excuse.’

 

[42:25.00]

فَمَكَثَ غَيْرَ بَعِيْدٍ فَقَالَ اَحَطْتُّ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهٖ وَ جِئْتُكَ مِنْ سَبَاٍۢ بِنَبَاٍ يَّقِيْنٍ‏﴿22﴾‏

22.Famakasa ghaira ba'eedin faqaala ahattu bimaa lam tuhit bihee wa ji'tuka min Sabaim binaba iny-yaqeen

22.He did not stay for long [before he turned up] and said, ‘I have alighted on something which you have not alighted on, and I have brought you from Sheba a definite report.

 

[42:36.00]

اِنِّىْ وَجَدتُّ امْرَاَةً تَمْلِكُهُمْ وَاُوْتِيَتْ مِنْ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَّلَهَا عَرْشٌ عَظِيْمٌ‏﴿23﴾‏

23.Innee wajattum ra atan tamlikuhum wa ootiyat min kulli shai'inw wa lahaa 'arshun 'azeem

23.I found a woman ruling over them, and she has been given everything, and she has a great throne.

 

[42:47.00]

وَجَدْتُّهَا وَقَوْمَهَا يَسْجُدُوْنَ لِلشَّمْسِ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطٰنُ اَعْمَالَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيْلِ فَهُمْ لَا يَهْتَدُوْنَۙ‏﴿24﴾‏

24.Wajattuhaa wa qawmahaa yasjudoona lishshamsi min doonil laahi wa zaiyana lahumush Shaitaanu a'maalahum fasaddahum 'anis sabeeli fahum laa yahtadoon

24.I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of Allah, and Satan has made their deeds seem decorous to them—thus he has barred them from the way [of Allah], so they are not guided—

 

[43:04.00]

اَلَّا يَسْجُدُوْا لِلّٰهِ الَّذِىْ يُخْرِجُ الْخَبْءَ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُخْفُوْنَ وَمَا تُعْلِنُوْنَ‏﴿25﴾‏

25.Allaa yasjudoo lillaahil lazee yukhrijul khab'a fis samaawaati wal ardi wa ya'lamu maa tukhfoona wa maa tu'linoon

25.so that they do not prostrate themselves to Allah, who brings forth the hidden in the heavens and the earth, and He knows whatever you hide and whatever you disclose.

 

[43:18.00]

اَللّٰهُ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ ۩‏﴿26﴾‏

26.Allaahu laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa Rabbul 'Arshil Azeem

26.Allah—there is no god except Him—is the Lord of the Great Throne.’

 

[43:27.00]

قَالَ سَنَنْظُرُ اَصَدَقْتَ اَمْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الْكٰذِبِيْنَ‏﴿27﴾‏

27.Qaala sananzuru asadaqta am kunta minal kaazibeen

27.He said, ‘We shall see whether you are truthful, or if you are one of the liars.

 

[43:35.00]

اِذْهَبْ بِّكِتٰبِىْ هٰذَا فَاَلْقِهْ اِلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَانْظُرْ مَاذَا يَرْجِعُوْنَ‏﴿28﴾‏

28.Izhab bikitaabee haaza fa alqih ilaihim summma tawalla 'anhum fanzur maazaa yarji'oon

28.Take this letter of mine and deliver it to them. Then draw away from them and observe what [response] they return.’

 

[43:44.00]

قَالَتْ يٰۤاَيُّهَا الْمَلَؤُا اِنِّىْۤ اُلْقِىَ اِلَىَّ كِتٰبٌ كَرِيْمٌ‏﴿29﴾‏

29.Qaalat yaaa aiyuhal mala'u innee ulqiya ilaiya kitaabun kareem

29.She said, ‘O [members of the] elite! Indeed a noble letter has been delivered to me.

 

[43:52.00]

اِنَّهٗ مِنْ سُلَيْمٰنَ وَاِنَّهٗ بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِۙ‏﴿30﴾‏

30.Innahoo min Sulaimaana wa innahoo bismil laahir Rahmaanir Raheem

30.It is from Solomon, and it begins in the name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[44:00.00]

اَلَّا تَعْلُوْا عَلَىَّ وَاْتُوْنِىْ مُسْلِمِيْنَ۠ ‏‏﴿31﴾‏

31.Allaa ta'loo 'alaiya waa toonee muslimeen

31.[It states,] ‘‘Do not defy me, and come to me in submission.’’ ’

قَالَتْ يٰۤاَيُّهَا الْمَلَؤُا اَفْتُوْنِىْ فِیْۤ اَمْرِىْ‌ۚ مَا كُنْتُ قَاطِعَةً اَمْرًا حَتّٰى تَشْهَدُوْنِ‏﴿32﴾‏

32.Qaalat yaaa aiyuhal mala'u aftoonee fee amree maa kuntu qaati'atan amran hattaa tashhhaddon

32.She said, ‘O [members of the] elite! Give me your opinion concerning my matter. I do not decide any matter until you are present.’

 

[44:14.00]

قَالُوْا نَحْنُ اُولُوْا قُوَّةٍ وَّاُولُوْا بَاْسٍ شَدِيْدٍ۬ ۙ وَّالْاَمْرُ اِلَيْكِ فَانْظُرِىْ مَاذَا تَاْمُرِيْنَ‏﴿33﴾‏

33.Qaaloo nahnu uloo quwwatinw wa uloo baasin shadeed; wal amru ilaiki fanzuree maazaa taamureen

33.They said, ‘We are powerful and possess a great might. But it is up to you to command. So consider what orders you will give.’

 

[44:25.00]

قَالَتْ اِنَّ الْمُلُوْكَ اِذَا دَخَلُوْا قَرْيَةً اَفْسَدُوْهَا وَجَعَلُوْۤا اَعِزَّةَ اَهْلِهَاۤ اَذِلَّةً  ‌ۚ وَكَذٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُوْنَ‏﴿34﴾‏

34.Qaalat innal mulooka izaa dakhaloo qaryatan afsadoohaa wa ja'alooo a'izzata ahlihaaa azillah; wa kazaalika yaf'aloon

34.She said, ‘Indeed when kings enter a town, they devastate it, and make the mightiest of its people the weakest. That is how they act.

 

[44:38.00]

وَاِنِّىْ مُرْسِلَةٌ اِلَيْهِمْ بِهَدِيَّةٍ فَنٰظِرَةٌۢ بِمَ يَرْجِعُ الْمُرْسَلُوْنَ‏﴿35﴾‏

35.Wa innee mursilatun ilaihim bihadiyyatin fanaaziratum bima yarji'ul mursaloon

35.I will send them a gift, and see what the envoys bring back.’

 

[44:48.00]

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ سُلَيْمٰنَ قَالَ اَتُمِدُّوْنَنِ بِمَالٍؗ فَمَاۤ اٰتٰٮنِۦَ اللّٰهُ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّاۤ اٰتٰٮكُمْ‌ۚ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ بِهَدِيَّتِكُمْ تَفْرَحُوْنَ‏﴿36﴾‏

36.Falammaa jaaa'a Sulaimaana qaala atumiddoonani bimaalin famaaa aataakum bal antum bihadiy yatikum tafrahoon

36.So when he came to Solomon, he said, ‘Are you aiding me with wealth? What Allah has given me is better than what He has given you. Indeed, you are proud of your gift!

 

[45:06.00]

اِرْجِعْ اِلَيْهِمْ فَلَنَاْتِيَنَّهُمْ بِجُنُوْدٍ لَّا قِبَلَ لَهُمْ بِهَا وَلَنُخْرِجَنَّهُمْ مِّنْهَاۤ اَذِلَّةً وَّهُمْ صٰغِرُوْنَ‏﴿37﴾‏

37.Irji' ilaihim falanaatiyan nahum bijunoodil laa qibala lahum bihaa wa lanukhri jannahum minhaaa azillatanw wa hum saaghiroon

37.Go back to them, for we will come at them with hosts which they cannot face, and we will expel them from it, abased and degraded.’

 

[45:25.00]

قَالَ يٰۤاَيُّهَا الْمَلَؤُا اَيُّكُمْ يَاْتِيْنِىْ بِعَرْشِهَا قَبْلَ اَنْ يَّاْتُوْنِىْ مُسْلِمِيْنَ‏﴿38﴾‏

38.Qaala yaaa aiyuhal mala'u aiyukum yaateenee bi'arshihaa qabla ai yaatoonee muslimeen

38.He said, ‘O [members of the] elite! Which of you will bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?’

 

[45:33.00]

قَالَ عِفْرِيْتٌ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ اَنَا اٰتِيْكَ بِهٖ قَبْلَ اَنْ تَقُوْمَ مِنْ مَّقَامِكَ‌ۚ وَاِنِّىْ عَلَيْهِ لَقَوِىٌّ اَمِيْنٌ‏﴿39﴾‏

39.Qaala 'ifreetum minal jinni ana aateeka bihee qabla an taqooma mim maqaamika wa innee 'alaihi laqawiyyun ameen

39.An afreet from among the jinn said, ‘I will bring it to you before you rise from your place. I have the power to do it and am trustworthy.’

 

[45:44.00]

قَالَ الَّذِىْ عِنْدَهٗ عِلْمٌ مِّنَ الْكِتٰبِ اَنَا اٰتِيْكَ بِهٖ قَبْلَ اَنْ يَّرْتَدَّ اِلَيْكَ طَرْفُكَ‌ؕ فَلَمَّا رَاٰهُ مُسْتَقِرًّا عِنْدَهٗ قَالَ هٰذَا مِنْ فَضْلِ رَبِّىْ‌ۖ لِيَبْلُوَنِىْٓ ءَاَشْكُرُ اَمْ اَكْفُرُ‌ؕ وَمَنْ شَكَرَ فَاِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهٖ‌ۚ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَاِنَّ رَبِّىْ غَنِىٌّ كَرِيْمٌ‏﴿40﴾‏

40.Qaalal lazee indahoo 'ilmum minal Kitaabi ana aateeka bihee qabla ai yartadda ilaika tarfuk; falammaa ra aahu mustaqirran 'indahoo qaala haazaa min fadli Rabbee li yabluwaneee 'a-ashkuru am akfuru wa man shakara fa innamaa yashkuru linafsihee wa man kafara fa inna Rabbee Ghaniyyun Kareem

40.The one who had knowledge of the Book said, ‘I will bring it to you in the twinkling of an eye.’ So when he saw it set near him, he said, ‘This is by the grace of my Lord, to test me if I will give thanks or be ungrateful. Whoever gives thanks, gives thanks only for his own sake. And whoever is ungrateful [should know that] my Lord is indeed all-sufficient, all-generous.’

 

[46:17.00]

قَالَ نَكِّرُوْا لَهَا عَرْشَهَا نَنْظُرْ اَتَهْتَدِىْۤ اَمْ تَكُوْنُ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يَهْتَدُوْنَ‏﴿41﴾‏

41.Qaala nakkiroo lahaa 'arshahaa nanzur atahtadeee am takoonu minal lazeena laa yahtadoon

41.He said, ‘Disguise her throne for her, so that we may see whether she is discerning or if she is one of the undiscerning ones.’

 

[46:27.00]

فَلَمَّا جَآءَتْ قِيْلَ اَهٰكَذَا عَرْشُكِ‌ؕ قَالَتْ كَاَنَّهٗ هُوَ‌ۚ وَاُوْتِيْنَا الْعِلْمَ مِنْ قَبْلِهَا وَ كُنَّا مُسْلِمِيْنَ‏﴿42﴾‏

42.Falammaa jaaa'at qeela ahaakaza 'arshuki qaalat kaanna hoo; wa ooteenal 'ilma min qablihaa wa kunnaa muslimeen

42.So when she came, it was said [to her], ‘Is your throne like this one?’ She said, ‘It seems to be the same, and we were informed before it, and we had submitted.’

 

[46:41.00]

وَصَدَّهَا مَا كَانَتْ تَّعْبُدُ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ‌ؕ اِنَّهَا كَانَتْ مِنْ قَوْمٍ كٰفِرِيْنَ‏﴿43﴾‏

43.Wa saddahaa maa kaanat ta'budu min doonil laahi innahaa kaanat min qawmin kaafireen

43.She had been barred [from the way of Allah] by what she used to worship besides Allah, for she belonged to a faithless people.

 

[46:51.00]

قِيْلَ لَهَا ادْخُلِى الصَّرْحَ‌ ۚ فَلَمَّا رَاَتْهُ حَسِبَتْهُ لُجَّةً وَّكَشَفَتْ عَنْ سَاقَيْهَا ‌ؕ قَالَ اِنَّهٗ صَرْحٌ مُّمَرَّدٌ مِّنْ قَوَارِيْرَ۬  ۙ‌قَالَتْ رَبِّ اِنِّىْ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِىْ وَ اَسْلَمْتُ مَعَ سُلَيْمٰنَ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ۠ ‏‏﴿44﴾‏

44.Qeela lahad khulis sarha falammaa ra at hu hasibat hu lujjatanw wa khashafat 'an saaqaihaa; qaala innahoo sarhum mumarradum min qawaareer; qaalat Rabbi innee zalamtu nafsee wa aslamtu ma'a Sulaimaana lillaahi Rabbil 'aalameen

44.It was said to her, ‘Enter the palace.’ So when she saw it, she supposed it to be a pool of water, and she bared her shanks. He said, ‘It is a palace paved with crystal.’ She said, ‘My Lord! Indeed I have wronged myself, and I submit with Solomon to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.’

 

[47:20.00]

وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَاۤ اِلٰى ثَمُوْدَ اَخَاهُمْ صٰلِحًا اَنِ اعْبُدُوْا اللّٰهَ فَاِذَا هُمْ فَرِيْقٰنِ يَخْتَصِمُوْنَ‏﴿45﴾‏

45.Wa laqad arsalnaaa ilaa Samoda akhaahum Saalihan ani'budul lahha fa izaa hum fareeqaani yakhtasimoon

45.Certainly We sent to Thamud Salih, their brother, [with the summons:] ‘Worship Allah!’ But thereat they became two groups contending with each other.

 

[47:29.00]

قَالَ يٰقَوْمِ لِمَ تَسْتَعْجِلُوْنَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ الْحَسَنَةِ‌‌ۚ لَوْلَا تَسْتَغْفِرُوْنَ اللّٰهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُوْنَ‏﴿46﴾‏

46.Qaala yaa qawmi lima tasta'jiloona bissaiyi'ati qablal hasanati law laa tas taghfiroonal laaha la'allakum turhamoon

46.He said, ‘O My people! Why do you press for evil sooner than for good? Why do you not plead to Allah for forgiveness so that you may receive His mercy?’

 

[47:41.00]

قَالُوا اطَّيَّرْنَا بِكَ وَبِمَنْ مَّعَكَ‌ ؕ قَالَ طٰٓئِرُكُمْ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ‌ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ تُفْتَنُوْنَ‏﴿47﴾‏

47.Qaalut taiyarnaa bika wa bimam ma'ak; qaala taaa'irukum 'indal laahi bal antum qawmun tuftanoon

47.They said, ‘We take you and those who are with you for a bad omen.’ He said, ‘Your bad omens are from Allah. Indeed, you are a people being tested.’

 

[47:54.00]

وَكَانَ فِى الْمَدِيْنَةِ تِسْعَةُ رَهْطٍ يُّفْسِدُوْنَ فِى الْاَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُوْنَ‏﴿48﴾‏

48.Wa kaana fil madeenati tis'atu rahtiny yufsidoona fil ardi wa laa yuslihoon

48.There were nine persons in the city who caused corruption in the land and did not set things right.

 

[48:02.00]

قَالُوْا تَقَاسَمُوْا بِاللّٰهِ لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهٗ وَ اَهْلَهٗ ثُمَّ لَنَقُوْلَنَّ لِوَلِيِّهٖ مَا شَهِدْنَا مَهْلِكَ اَهْلِهٖ وَاِنَّا لَصٰدِقُوْنَ‏﴿49﴾‏

49.Qaaloo taqaasamoo billaahi lanubaiyitannahoo wa ahlahoo summaa lanaqoolana liwaliy yihee maa shahidnaa mahlika ahliee wa innaa lasaadiqoon

49.They said, ‘Swear by Allah that we will attack him and his family by night. Then we will tell his heir that we were not present at the murder of his family and that we speak the truth.’

 

[48:20.00]

وَمَكَرُوْا مَكْرًا وَّمَكَرْنَا مَكْرًا وَّهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ‏﴿50﴾‏

50.Wa makaroo makranw wa makarnaa makranw wa hum laa yash'uroon

50.They devised a plot, and We [too] devised a plan, but they were not aware.

 

[48:28.00]

فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ مَكْرِهِمْۙ اَنَّا دَمَّرْنٰهُمْ وَقَوْمَهُمْ اَجْمَعِيْنَ‏﴿51﴾‏

51.Fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatu makrihim annaa dammar naahum wa qawmahum ajma'een

51.So observe how was the outcome of their plotting, as We destroyed them and all their people.

 

[48:38.00]

فَتِلْكَ بُيُوْتُهُمْ خَاوِيَةً ۢ بِمَا ظَلَمُوْا‌ ؕ اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَّعْلَمُوْنَ‏﴿52﴾‏

52.Fatilka buyootuhum khaa wiyatam bimaa zalamoo; inna fee zaalika la Aayatal liqaw miny-ya'lamoon

52.So there lay their houses, fallen in ruin because of their wrongdoing. There is indeed a sign in that for a people who have knowledge.

 

[48:50.00]

وَاَنْجَيْنَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَكَانُوْا يَتَّقُوْنَ‏﴿53﴾‏

53.Wa anjainal lazeena aamanoo wa kaanoo yattaqoon

53.And We delivered those who had faith and were Godwary.

 

[48:56.00]

وَلُوْطًا اِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهٖۤ اَتَاْتُوْنَ الْفَاحِشَةَ وَاَنْتُمْ تُبْصِرُوْنَ‏﴿54﴾‏

54.Wa lootan iz qaala liqawmiheee ataatoonal faa hishata wa antum qawmun tajjhaloon

54.[We also sent] Lot, when he said to his people, ‘What! Do you commit this indecency while you look on?

 

[49:05.00]

اَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَاْتُوْنَ الرِّجَالَ شَهْوَةً مِّنْ دُوْنِ النِّسَآءِ‌ؕ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ تَجْهَلُوْنَ‏﴿55﴾‏

55.A'innakum lataatoonar rijaala shahwatam min doonin nisaaa'; bal antum qawmun tajhaloon

55.Do you approach men with [sexual] desire instead of women?! Indeed, you are a senseless lot!

 

[49:19.00]

فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهٖۤ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ قَالُوْۤا اَخْرِجُوْۤا اٰلَ لُوْطٍ مِّنْ قَرْيَتِكُمْ‌ۚ اِنَّهُمْ اُنَاسٌ يَّتَطَهَّرُوْنَ‏﴿56﴾‏

56.Fammaa kaana jawaaba qawmiheee illaaa an qaalooo akrijoon aalaa Lootim min qaryatikum innahum unaasuny yatatahharoon

56.But the only answer of his people was that they said, ‘Expel Lot’s family from your town! They are indeed a puritanical lot.’

 

[49:32.00]

فَاَنْجَيْنٰهُ وَ اَهْلَهٗۤ اِلَّا امْرَاَتَهٗؗ قَدَّرْنٰهَا مِنَ الْغٰبِرِيْنَ‏﴿57﴾‏

57.Fa anjainaahu wa ahlahooo illam ra atahoo qaddarnaahaa minal ghaabireen

57.So We delivered him and his family, except his wife. We ordained her to be among those who remained behind.

 

[49:40.00]

وَاَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَّطَرًا‌ۚ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ الْمُنْذَرِيْنَ۠ ‏‏﴿58﴾‏

58.Wa amtarnaa 'alaihimm mataran fasaaa'a matarul munzareen

58.Then We poured down upon them a rain [of stones]. Evil was that rain for those who had been warned!

 

[49:48.00]

قُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ وَسَلٰمٌ عَلٰى عِبَادِهِ الَّذِيْنَ اصْطَفٰىؕ ءٰۤللّٰهُ خَيْرٌ اَمَّا يُشْرِكُوْنَؕ‏﴿59﴾‏

59.Qulil hamdu lillaahi wa salaamun 'alaa 'ibaadihil lazeenas tafaa; aaallaahu khairun ammmaa yushrikoon

59.Say, ‘All praise belongs to Allah, and Peace be to the servants whom He has chosen.’ Is Allah better, or the partners they ascribe [to Him]?
