النبإ / An-Naba / The Tidings

[00:00.03]

أعوذُ بِٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ

A'udhu billahi min ash-shaytaan-ir-rajeem

I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the accursed

 

[00:03.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[00:06.00]

عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُوْنَ‌ۚ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.'Amma Yatasaa-aloon

1.What is it that they are questioning each other about?!

 

[00:10.00]

عَنِ النَّبَاِ الْعَظِيْمِۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.'Anin-nabaa-il 'azeem

2.[Is it] about the Great Tiding,

 

[00:13.00]

الَّذِىْ هُمْ فِيْهِ مُخْتَلِفُوْنَؕ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Allazi hum feehi mukh talifoon

3.the one about which they differ?

 

[00:15.00]

كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُوْنَۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Kallaa sa y'alamoon

4.No indeed! Soon they will know!

 

[00:18.00]

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُوْنَ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Thumma kallaa sa y'alamoon

5.No indeed! Soon they will know for once again!

 

[00:21.00]

اَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْاَرْضَ مِهٰدًا ۙ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Alam naj'alil arda mihaa da

6.Did We not make the earth a resting place?

 

[00:24.00]

وَّالْجِبَالَ اَوْتَادًا۪ ۙ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Wal jibaala au taada

7.and the mountains stakes?

 

[00:26.00]

وَّخَلَقْنٰكُمْ اَزْوَاجًا ۙ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Wa khalaq naakum azwaaja

8.and create you in pairs?

 

[00:29.00]

وَّجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًا ۙ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Waja'alnan naumakum subata

9.and make your sleep for rest?

 

[00:33.00]

وَّجَعَلْنَا الَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا ۙ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Waja'alnal laila libasa

10.and make the night a covering?

 

[00:36.00]

وَّجَعَلْنَا النَّهَارَ مَعَاشًا۪ ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Waja'alnan nahara ma 'aasha

11.and make the day for livelihood?

 

[00:39.00]

وَّبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا ۙ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Wa banaina fauqakum sab 'an shi daada

12.and build above you the seven mighty heavens?

 

[00:44.00]

وَّ جَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًا وَّهَّاجًا۪ ۙ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Waja'alna siraajaw wah haaja

13.and make [the sun for] a radiant lamp?

 

[00:48.00]

وَّاَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ الْمُعْصِرٰتِ مَآءً ثَجَّاجًا ۙ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Wa anzalna minal m'usiraati maa-an saj-jaaja

14.and send down water pouring from the rain-clouds,

 

[00:54.00]

لِّنُخْرِجَ بِهٖ حَبًّا وَّنَبَاتًا ۙ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Linukh rija bihee habbaw wana baata

15.that We may bring forth with it grains and plants,

 

[00:58.00]

وَّجَنّٰتٍ اَلْفَافًا ؕ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Wa jan naatin alfafa

16.and luxuriant gardens?

 

[01:01.00]

اِنَّ يَوْمَ الْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيْقَاتًا ۙ‏﴿17﴾‏

17.Inna yaumal-fasli kana miqaata

17.Indeed the Day of Judgement is the tryst,

 

[01:06.00]

يَّوْمَ يُنْفَخُ فِى الصُّوْرِ فَتَاْتُوْنَ اَفْوَاجًا ۙ‏﴿18﴾‏

18.Yauma yun fakhu fis-soori fataa toona afwaaja

18.the day the Trumpet will be blown, and you will come in groups,

 

[01:12.00]

وَّفُتِحَتِ السَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ اَبْوَابًا ۙ‏﴿19﴾‏

19.Wa futiha tis samaa-u fakaanat abwaaba

19.and the sky will be opened and become gates,

 

[01:17.00]

وَّ سُيِّرَتِ الْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا ؕ‏﴿20﴾‏

20.Wa suyyi raatil jibaalu fa kaanat saraaba

20.and the mountains will be set moving and become a mirage.

 

[01:22.00]

اِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًا۪ ۙ‏﴿21﴾‏

21.Inna jahan nama kaanat mirsaada

21.Indeed hell is in ambush,

 

[01:28.00]

لِّلطّٰغِيْنَ مَاٰبًا ۙ‏﴿22﴾‏

22.Lit taa gheena ma aaba

22.a resort for the rebels,

 

[01:30.00]

لّٰبِثِيْنَ فِيْهَاۤ اَحْقَابًا‌ ۚ‏﴿23﴾‏

23.Laa bitheena feehaa ahqaaba

23.to reside therein for ages,

 

[01:34.00]

لَا يَذُوْقُوْنَ فِيْهَا بَرْدًا وَّلَا شَرَابًا ۙ‏﴿24﴾‏

24.Laa ya zooqoona feeha bar daw walaa sharaaba

24.tasting in it neither any coolness nor drink,

 

[01:40.00]

اِلَّا حَمِيْمًا وَّغَسَّاقًا ۙ‏﴿25﴾‏

25.Illa hamee maw-wa ghas saaqa

25.except boiling water and pus,

 

[01:45.00]

جَزَآءً وِّفَاقًا ؕ‏﴿26﴾‏

26.Jazaa-aw wi faaqa

26.a fitting requital.

 

[01:49.00]

اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا لَا يَرْجُوْنَ حِسَابًا ۙ‏﴿27﴾‏

27.Innahum kaanu laa yarjoona hisaaba

27.Indeed they did not expect any reckoning,

 

[01:54.00]

وَّكَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا كِذَّابًا ؕ‏﴿28﴾‏

28.Wa kazzabu bi aayaa tina kizzaba

28.and they denied Our signs mendaciously,

 

[01:58.00]

وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ اَحْصَيْنٰهُ كِتٰبًا ۙ‏﴿29﴾‏

29.Wa kulla shai-in ahsai naahu kitaa ba

29.and We have figured everything in a Book.

 

[02:02.00]

فَذُوْقُوْا فَلَنْ نَّزِيْدَكُمْ اِلَّا عَذَابًا۠ ‏‏﴿30﴾‏

30.Fa zooqoo falan-nazee dakum ill-laa azaaba

30.So [now] taste! We shall increase you in nothing but punishment!

 

[02:10.00]

اِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِيْنَ مَفَازًا ۙ‏﴿31﴾‏

31.Inna lil mutta qeena mafaaza

31.Indeed a triumph awaits the Godwary:

 

[02:13.00]

حَدَآئِقَ وَاَعْنَابًا ۙ‏﴿32﴾‏

32.Hadaa-iqa wa a'anaa ba

32.gardens and vineyards,

 

[02:17.00]

وَّكَوَاعِبَ اَتْرَابًا ۙ‏﴿33﴾‏

33.Wa kaawa 'iba at raaba

33.and buxom maidens of a like age,

 

[02:20.00]

وَّكَاْسًا دِهَاقًا ؕ‏﴿34﴾‏

34.Wa ka'san di haaqa

34.and brimming cups.

 

[02:23.00]

لَا يَسْمَعُوْنَ فِيْهَا لَغْوًا وَّلَا كِذّٰبًا‌ ۚ‏﴿35﴾‏

35.Laa yasma'oona fiha lagh waw walaa kizzaba

35.Therein they shall hear neither vain talk nor lies

 

[02:28.00]

جَزَآءً مِّنْ رَّبِّكَ عَطَآءً حِسَابًا ۙ‏﴿36﴾‏

36.Jazaa-am mir-rabbika ataa-an hisaaba

36.—a reward and a sufficing bounty from your Lord,

 

[02:36.00]

رَّبِّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا الرَّحْمٰنِ‌ لَا يَمْلِكُوْنَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًا‌ ۚ‏﴿37﴾‏

37.Rabbis samaa waati wal ardi wa maa baina humar rahmaani laa yam likoona minhu khi taaba

37.the All-beneficent, the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. They will not be able to address Him

 

[02:45.00]

يَوْمَ يَقُوْمُ الرُّوْحُ وَالْمَلٰٓئِكَةُ صَفًّا ؕۙۗ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُوْنَ اِلَّا مَنْ اَذِنَ لَهُ الرَّحْمٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًا‌‏﴿38﴾‏

38.Yauma yaqoo mur roohu wal malaa-ikatu saf-fal laa yata kalla moona illa man azina lahur rahmaanu wa qaala sawaaba

38.on the day when the Spirit and the angels stand in an array: none shall speak except someone who is permitted by the All-beneficent and says what is rightful.

 

[02:58.00]

ذٰلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الْحَقُّ‌ ۚ فَمَنْ شَآءَ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰى رَبِّهٖ مَاٰبًا‏﴿39﴾‏

39.Zaalikal yaumul haqqu faman shaa-at ta khaaza ill-laa rabbihi ma-aaba

39.That day is true for certain. So let anyone who wishes take resort with his Lord.

 

[03:09.00]

اِنَّاۤ اَنْذَرْنٰكُمْ عَذَابًا قَرِيْبًا ۖۚ۬   يَّوْمَ يَنْظُرُ الْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدٰهُ وَيَقُوْلُ الْكٰفِرُ يٰلَيْتَنِىْ كُنْتُ تُرٰبًا۠ ‏‏﴿40﴾‏

40.In naa anzar naakum azaaban qareebaiy-yauma yan zurul marr-u maa qaddamat yadaahu wa ya qoolul-kaafiru yaa lai tanee kuntu turaaba

40.Indeed We have warned you of a punishment near at hand—the day when a person will observe what his hands have sent ahead and the faithless one will say, ‘I wish I were dust!’

 

[03:27.00]

 

 

 

النازعات / An-Nazi'at / Those who drag forth

[03:28.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[03:32.00]

وَالنّٰزِعٰتِ غَرْقًا ۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Wan naazi 'aati gharqa

1.By those [angels] who wrest [the soul] violently,

 

[03:34.00]

وَّالنّٰشِطٰتِ نَشْطًا ۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Wan naa shi taati nashta

2.by those who draw [it] out gently,

 

[03:37.00]

وَّالسّٰبِحٰتِ سَبْحًا ۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wass saabi-haati sabha

3.by those who swim smoothly,

 

[03:40.00]

فَالسّٰبِقٰتِ سَبْقًا ۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Fass saabi qaati sabqa

4.by those who, racing, take the lead,

 

[03:42.00]

فَالْمُدَبِّرٰتِ اَمْرًا‌ ۘ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Fal mu dab-bi raati amra

5.by those who direct the affairs [of creatures]:

 

[03:45.00]

يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الرَّاجِفَةُ ۙ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Yawma tarjufur raajifa

6.the day when the Quaker quakes

 

[03:48.00]

تَتْبَعُهَا الرَّادِفَةُ ؕ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Tatba'u har raadifa

7.and is followed by the Successor,

 

[03:50.00]

قُلُوْبٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ وَّاجِفَةٌ ۙ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Quloobuny-yau maaiziw-waaji-fa

8.hearts will be trembling on that day,

 

[03:55.00]

اَبْصَارُهَا خَاشِعَةٌ‌ ۘ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Absaa ruhaa khashi'ah

9.bearing a humbled look.

 

[03:57.00]

يَقُوْلُوْنَ ءَاِنَّا لَمَرْدُوْدُوْنَ فِى الْحَافِرَةِ ؕ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Ya qoo loona a-inna lamar doo doona fil haafirah

10.They will say, ‘Are we being returned to our earlier state?

 

[04:03.00]

ءَاِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا نَّخِرَةً ؕ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Aizaa kunna 'izaa man-nakhirah

11.What, even after we have been decayed bones?!’

 

[04:07.00]

قَالُوْا تِلْكَ اِذًا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌ‌ ۘ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Qaalu tilka izan karratun khaasirah.

12.They will say, ‘This is, then, a ruinous return!’

 

[04:11.00]

فَاِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌ وَّاحِدَةٌ ۙ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Fa inna ma hiya zajratuw-waahida

13.Yet it will be only a single shout,

 

[04:16.00]

فَاِذَا هُمْ بِالسَّاهِرَةِ ؕ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Faizaa hum biss saahirah

14.and behold, they will be awake.

 

[04:19.00]

هَلْ اَتٰٮكَ حَدِيْثُ مُوْسٰى‌ۘ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Hal ataaka hadeethu Musaa

15.Did you receive the story of Moses,

 

[04:22.00]

اِذْ نَادٰٮهُ رَبُّهٗ بِالْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى‌ۚ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Iz nadaahu rabbuhu bil waadil-muqad dasi tuwa

16.when his Lord called out to him in the holy valley of Tuwa?

 

[04:27.00]

اِذْهَبْ اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ اِنَّهٗ طَغٰىؗ  ۖ‏﴿17﴾‏

17.Izhab ilaa fir'auna innahu taghaa.

17.[And said,] ‘Go to Pharaoh, for indeed he has rebelled,

 

[04:31.00]

فَقُلْ هَلْ لَّكَ اِلٰٓى اَنْ تَزَكّٰى ۙ‏﴿18﴾‏

18.Faqul hal laka ilaa-an tazakka.

18.and say, ‘‘Would you purify yourself?

 

[04:35.00]

وَاَهْدِيَكَ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشٰى‌ۚ‏﴿19﴾‏

19.Wa ahdi yaka ila rabbika fatakh sha

19.I will guide you to your Lord, that you may fear [Him]?’’ ’

 

[04:39.00]

فَاَرٰٮهُ الْاٰيَةَ الْكُبْرٰىؗ  ۖ‏﴿20﴾‏

20.Fa araahul-aayatal kubra.

20.Then he showed him the greatest sign.

 

[04:42.00]

فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصٰىؗ  ۖ‏﴿21﴾‏

21.Fa kazzaba wa asaa.

21.But he denied, and disobeyed.

 

[04:45.00]

ثُمَّ اَدْبَرَ يَسْعٰىؗ ۖ‏﴿22﴾‏

22.Thumma adbara yas'aa.

22.Then he turned back, walking swiftly,

 

[04:47.00]

فَحَشَرَ فَنَادٰىؗ ۖ‏﴿23﴾‏

23.Fa hashara fanada.

23.and gathered [the people] and proclaimed,

 

[04:49.00]

فَقَالَ اَنَا رَبُّكُمُ الْاَعْلٰىؗ  ۖ‏﴿24﴾‏

24.Faqala ana rabbu kumul-a'laa.

24.saying, ‘I am your exalted lord!’

 

[04:52.00]

فَاَخَذَهُ اللّٰهُ نَڪَالَ الْاٰخِرَةِ وَالْاُوْلٰى ؕ‏﴿25﴾‏

25.Fa-akha zahul laahu nakalal aakhirati wal-oola.

25.So Allah seized him with the punishment of this life and the Hereafter.

 

[04:58.00]

اِنَّ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّمَنْ يَّخْشٰىؕ۠ ‏‏﴿26﴾‏

26.Inna fee zaalika la'ibratal limaiy-yaksha

26.There is indeed a moral in that for someone who fears!

 

[05:03.00]

ءَاَنْتُمْ اَشَدُّ خَلْقًا اَمِ السَّمَآءُ‌ ؕ بَنٰٮهَا ۥ ‏﴿27﴾‏

27.A-antum a shaddu khalqan amis samaa-u banaaha.

27.Is your creation more prodigious or that of the heaven He has built?

 

[05:12.00]

رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّٮهَا ۙ‏﴿28﴾‏

28.Raf'a sam kaha fasaw waaha

28.He raised its vault and fashioned it,

 

[05:15.00]

وَ اَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَاَخْرَجَ ضُحٰٮهَا۪ ‏﴿29﴾‏

29.Wa aghtasha lailaha wa akhraja duhaaha.

29.and darkened its night, and brought forth its forenoon.

 

[05:19.00]

وَالْاَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ دَحٰٮهَا ؕ‏﴿30﴾‏

30.Wal arda b'ada zaalika dahaaha.

30.Thereafter He spread out the earth,

 

[05:22.00]

اَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرْعٰٮهَا۪ ‏﴿31﴾‏

31.Akhraja minha maa-aha wa mar 'aaha.

31.brought forth from it its water and pastures,

 

[05:27.00]

وَالْجِبَالَ اَرْسٰٮهَا ۙ‏﴿32﴾‏

32.Wal jibala arsaaha.

32.setting firm the mountains,

 

[05:30.00]

مَتَاعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِاَنْعَامِكُمْؕ‏﴿33﴾‏

33.Mataa'al lakum wali an 'aamikum.

33.as a [place of] sustenance for you and your livestock.

 

[05:33.00]

فَاِذَا جَآءَتِ الطَّآمَّةُ الْكُبْرٰىؗ  ۖ‏﴿34﴾‏

34.Fa-izaa jaaa'atit taaam matul kubraa.

34.When the Greatest Catastrophe befalls

 

[05:43.00]

يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ الْاِنْسَانُ مَا سَعٰىۙ‏﴿35﴾‏

35.Yauma Yata zakkarul insaanu ma sa'aa.

35.—the day when man will remember his endeavours

 

[05:48.00]

وَبُرِّزَتِ الْجَحِيْمُ لِمَنْ يَّرٰى‏﴿36﴾‏

36.Wa burrizatil-jaheemu limany-yaraa.

36.and hell is brought into view for those who can see—

 

[05:52.00]

فَاَمَّا مَنْ طَغٰىۙ‏﴿37﴾‏

37.Fa ammaa man taghaa.

37.as for him who has been rebellious

 

[05:55.00]

وَاٰثَرَ الْحَيٰوةَ الدُّنْيَا ۙ‏﴿38﴾‏

38.Wa aasaral hayaatad dunyaa

38.and preferred the life of this world,

 

[05:58.00]

فَاِنَّ الْجَحِيْمَ هِىَ الْمَاْوٰىؕ‏﴿39﴾‏

39.Fa innal jaheema hiyal maawaa.

39.his refuge will indeed be hell.

 

[06:02.00]

وَاَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهٖ وَ نَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الْهَوٰىۙ‏﴿40﴾‏

40.Wa ammaa man khaafa maqaama Rabbihee wa nahan nafsa 'anil hawaa

40.But as for him who is awed to stand before his Lord and restrains his soul from [following] desires,

 

[06:10.00]

فَاِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ هِىَ الْمَاْوٰىؕ‏﴿41﴾‏

41.Fa innal jannata hiyal maawaa

41.his refuge will indeed be paradise.

 

[06:15.00]

يَسْئَلُوْنَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ اَيَّانَ مُرْسٰٮهَا ؕ‏﴿42﴾‏

42.Yas'aloonaka 'anis saa'ati ayyaana mursaahaa

42.They ask you concerning the Hour, “When will it set in,

 

[06:20.00]

فِيْمَ اَنْتَ مِنْ ذِكْرٰٮهَاؕ‏﴿43﴾‏

43.Feema anta min zikraahaa

43.considering your frequent mention of it?”

 

[06:28.00]

اِلٰى رَبِّكَ مُنْتَهٰٮهَاؕ‏﴿44﴾‏

44.Ilaa Rabbika muntahaa haa

44.Its outcome is with your Lord.

 

[06:32.00]

اِنَّمَاۤ اَنْتَ مُنْذِرُ مَنْ يَّخْشٰٮهَاؕ‏﴿45﴾‏

45.Innamaaa anta munziru maiy yakshaahaa

45.You are only a warner for those who are afraid it.

 

[06:38.00]

كَاَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوْۤا اِلَّا عَشِيَّةً اَوْ ضُحٰٮهَا۠ ‏‏﴿46﴾‏

46.Ka annahum Yawma yarawnahaa lam yalbasooo illaa 'ashiyyatan aw duhaahaa

46.The day they see it, it shall be as if they had not stayed [in the world] except for an evening or forenoon.

 

[06:47.00]

 

 

 

عبس / 'Abasa / He Frowned

[06:48.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[06:50.00]

عَبَسَ وَتَوَلّٰٓىۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.'Abasa wa tawallaa.

1.He frowned and turned away

 

[06:52.00]

اَنْ جَآءَهُ الْاَعْمٰىؕ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.An jaa-ahul 'a-maa

2.when the blind man approached him.

 

[06:56.00]

وَمَا يُدْرِيْكَ لَعَلَّهٗ يَزَّكّٰٓىۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wa maa yudreeka la'allahu yaz zakkaa.

3.And how do you know, maybe he would purify himself,

 

[07:01.00]

اَوْ يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنْفَعَهُ الذِّكْرٰىؕ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Au yaz zak karu fatanfa 'ahuz zikraa.

4.or take admonition, and the admonition would benefit him!

 

[07:05.00]

اَمَّا مَنِ اسْتَغْنٰىۙ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Amma manis taghnaa

5.But as for someone who is wealthy,

 

[07:08.00]

فَاَنْتَ لَهٗ تَصَدّٰىؕ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Fa-anta lahu tasaddaa

6.you attend to him,

 

[07:10.00]

وَمَا عَلَيْكَ اَلَّا يَزَّكّٰٓىؕ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Wa ma 'alaika allaa yaz zakka.

7.though you are not liable if he does not purify himself.

 

[07:14.00]

وَاَمَّا مَنْ جَآءَكَ يَسْعٰىۙ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Wa amma man jaa-aka yas'a

8.But as for someone who comes hurrying to you,

 

[07:19.00]

وَهُوَ يَخْشٰىۙ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Wahuwa yakhshaa,

9.while he fears [Allah],

 

[07:21.00]

فَاَنْتَ عَنْهُ تَلَهّٰى‌ۚ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Fa-anta 'anhu talah haa.

10.you are neglectful of him.

 

[07:23.00]

كَلَّاۤ اِنَّهَا تَذْكِرَةٌ ۚ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Kalla innaha tazkirah

11.No indeed! These [verses of the Quran ] are a reminder

 

[07:30.00]

فَمَنْ شَآءَ ذَكَرَهٗ‌ۘ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Faman shaa a zakarah

12.—so let anyone who wishes remember—

 

[07:34.00]

فِیْ صُحُفٍ مُّكَرَّمَةٍۙ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Fi suhufim mukar rama,

13.in honoured scriptures,

 

[07:37.00]

مَّرْفُوْعَةٍ مُّطَهَّرَةٍ ۭۙ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Marfoo'atim mutah hara,

14.exalted and purified,

 

[07:40.00]

بِاَيْدِىْ سَفَرَةٍۙ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Bi'aidee safara

15.in the hands of envoys,

 

[07:44.00]

كِرَامٍۢ بَرَرَةٍؕ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Kiraamim bararah.

16.noble and pious.

 

[07:47.00]

قُتِلَ الْاِنْسَانُ مَاۤ اَكْفَرَهٗؕ‏﴿17﴾‏

17.Qutilal-insanu maa akfarah.

17.Perish man! How ungrateful is he!

 

[07:51.00]

مِنْ اَىِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقَهٗؕ‏﴿18﴾‏

18.Min aiyyi shai-in Khalaq

18.From what did He create him?

 

[07:54.00]

مِنْ نُّطْفَةٍؕ خَلَقَهٗ فَقَدَّرَهٗ ۙ‏﴿19﴾‏

19.Min nutfah; khalaqahu faqad-darah.

19.He created him from a drop of [seminal] fluid; then proportioned him.

 

[07:58.00]

ثُمَّ السَّبِيْلَ يَسَّرَهٗۙ‏﴿20﴾‏

20.Thummas sabeela yas-sarah

20.Then He made the way easy for him;

 

[08:00.00]

ثُمَّ اَمَاتَهٗ فَاَقْبَرَهٗۙ‏﴿21﴾‏

21.Thumma amatahu fa-aqbarah

21.then He made him die and buried him;

 

[08:04.00]

ثُمَّ اِذَا شَآءَ اَنْشَرَهٗؕ‏﴿22﴾‏

22.Thumma iza shaa-a ansharah

22.and then, when He wished, resurrected him.

 

[08:09.00]

كَلَّا لَمَّا يَقْضِ مَاۤ اَمَرَهٗؕ‏﴿23﴾‏

23.Kalla lamma yaqdi maa amarah.

23.No indeed! He has not yet carried out what He has commanded him.

 

[08:13.00]

فَلْيَنْظُرِ الْاِنْسَانُ اِلٰى طَعَامِهٖۤۙ‏﴿24﴾‏

24.Falyanzuril insanu ilaa ta-amih

24.Let man consider his food:

 

[08:17.00]

اَنَّا صَبَبْنَا الْمَآءَ صَبًّا ۙ‏﴿25﴾‏

25.Anna sabab nalmaa-a sabba.

25.We pour down plenteous water [from the sky],

 

[08:21.00]

ثُمَّ شَقَقْنَا الْاَرْضَ شَقًّا ۙ‏﴿26﴾‏

26.Thumma sha qaqnal-arda shaqqa.

26.then We split the earth making fissures in it

 

[08:25.00]

فَاَنْۢبَتْنَا فِيْهَا حَبًّا ۙ‏﴿27﴾‏

27.Fa ambatna feeha habba

27.and make the grain grow in it,

 

[08:29.00]

وَّ عِنَبًا وَّقَضْبًا ۙ‏﴿28﴾‏

28.Wa 'inabaw-wa qadba

28.as well as vines and vegetables,

 

[08:31.00]

وَّزَيْتُوْنًا وَّنَخْلًا ؕ‏﴿29﴾‏

29.Wa zaitoonaw wanakh la'

29.olives and date palms,

 

[08:34.90]

وَحَدَآئِقَ غُلْبًا ۙ‏﴿30﴾‏

30.Wa hadaa-iqa ghulba

30.and densely-planted gardens,

 

[08:38.00]

وَّفَاكِهَةً وَّاَبًّا ۙ‏﴿31﴾‏

31.Wa faki hataw-wa abba.

31.fruits and pastures,

 

[08:42.00]

مَّتَاعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِاَنْعَامِكُمْؕ‏﴿32﴾‏

32.Mata'al-lakum wa li-an'amikum.

32.as a sustenance for you and your livestock.

 

[08:45.00]

فَاِذَا جَآءَتِ الصَّآخَّةُؗ ‏﴿33﴾‏

33.Faiza jaa-atis saakhah.

33.So when the deafening Cry comes—

 

[08:53.00]

يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ الْمَرْءُ مِنْ اَخِيْهِۙ‏﴿34﴾‏

34.Yauma yafir-rul mar-u min akheeh

34.the day when a man will evade his brother,

 

[08:57.00]

وَاُمِّهٖ وَاَبِيْهِۙ‏﴿35﴾‏

35.Wa ummihee wa abeeh

35.his mother and his father,

 

[08:59.00]

وَصَاحِبَتِهٖ وَبَنِيْهِؕ‏﴿36﴾‏

36.Wa sahi batihee wa baneeh.

36.his spouse and his sons—

 

[09:03.00]

لِكُلِّ امْرِیءٍ مِّنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَاْنٌ يُّغْنِيْهِؕ‏﴿37﴾‏

37.Likul limri-im-minuhm yaumaa-izin shaa nuy-yughneeh

37.each of them will have a task to keep him preoccupied on that day.

 

[09:11.00]

وُجُوْهٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ مُّسْفِرَةٌ ۙ‏﴿38﴾‏

38.Wujoo huny-yauma-izim-musfira;

38.Some faces will be bright on that day,

 

[09:15.00]

ضَاحِكَةٌ مُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌ ۚ‏﴿39﴾‏

39.Dahi katum mustab shirah

39.laughing and joyous,

 

[09:18.00]

وَوُجُوْهٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌ ۙ‏﴿40﴾‏

40.Wa wujoohuy yauma-izin 'alaiha ghabar a

40.and some faces on that day will be covered with dust,

 

[09:23.00]

تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ ؕ‏﴿41﴾‏

41.Tarhaquha qatarah.

41.overcast with gloom.

 

[09:25.00]

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْكَفَرَةُ ٱلْفَجَرَةُ‏﴿42﴾‏

42.Ulaa-ika humul-kafa ratul-fajarah.

42.It is they who are the faithless, the vicious.

 

[09:30.00]

 

 

 

التكوير / At-Takwir / The Overthrowing

[09:31.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[09:34.00]

اِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ۪ ۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Izash shamsu kuwwirat

1.When the sun is wound up,

 

[09:37.00]

وَاِذَا النُّجُوْمُ انْكَدَرَتْ۪ ۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Wa izan nujoomun kadarat

2.when the stars scatter,

 

[09:40.00]

وَاِذَا الْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ۪ ۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wa izal jibaalu suyyirat

3.when the mountains are set moving,

 

[09:43.00]

وَاِذَا الْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ۪ ۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Wa izal 'ishaaru 'uttilat

4.when the pregnant camels are neglected,

 

[09:46.00]

وَاِذَا الْوُحُوْشُ حُشِرَتْ۪ ۙ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Wa izal wuhooshu hushirat

5.when the wild beasts are mustered,

 

[09:48.00]

وَاِذَا الْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ۪ ۙ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Wa izal bihaaru sujjirat

6.when the seas are set afire,

 

[09:51.00]

وَاِذَا النُّفُوْسُ زُوِّجَتْ۪ ۙ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Wa izan nufoosu zuwwijat

7.when the souls are assorted,

 

[09:55.00]

وَاِذَا الْمَوْءٗدَةُ سُئِلَتْ۪ ۙ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Wa izal maw'oodatu su'ilat

8.when the girl buried-alive will be asked

 

[09:57.00]

بِاَىِّ ذَنْۢبٍ قُتِلَتْ‌ۚ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Bi ayyi zambin qutilat

9.for what sin she was killed.

 

[10:01.00]

وَاِذَا الصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ۪ ۙ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Wa izas suhufu nushirat

10.When the records [of deeds] are unfolded,

 

[10:03.00]

وَاِذَا السَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتْ۪ ۙ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Wa izas samaaa'u kushitat

11.when the sky is stripped off,

 

[10:07.00]

وَاِذَا الْجَحِيْمُ سُعِّرَتْ۪ ۙ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Wa izal jaheemu su'-'irat

12.when hell is set ablaze,

 

[10:09.00]

وَاِذَا الْجَنَّةُ اُزْلِفَتْ۪ ۙ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Wa izal jannatu uzlifat

13.when paradise is brought near,

 

[10:13.00]

عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّاۤ اَحْضَرَتْؕ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.'Alimat nafsum maaa ahdarat

14.then a soul shall know what it has readied [for itself].

 

[10:21.00]

فَلَاۤ اُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِۙ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Falaaa uqsimu bil khunnas

15.So I swear by the stars that return,

 

[10:24.00]

الْجَوَارِ الْكُنَّسِۙ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Al jawaaril kunnas

16.the comets,

 

[10:27.00]

وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا عَسْعَسَۙ‏﴿17﴾‏

17.Wallaili izaa 'as'as

17.by the night as it approaches,

 

[10:29.00]

وَالصُّبْحِ اِذَا تَنَفَّسَۙ‏﴿18﴾‏

18.Wassubhi izaa tanaffas

18.by the dawn as it breathes:

 

[10:32.00]

اِنَّهٗ لَقَوْلُ رَسُوْلٍ كَرِيْمٍۙ‏﴿19﴾‏

19.Innahoo laqawlu rasoolin kareem

19.it is indeed the speech of a noble apostle,

 

[10:36.00]

ذِىْ قُوَّةٍ عِنْدَ ذِى الْعَرْشِ مَكِيْنٍۙ‏﴿20﴾‏

20.Zee quwwatin 'inda zil 'arshi makeen

20.powerful and eminent with the Lord of the Throne,

 

[10:41.00]

مُّطَاعٍ ثَمَّ اَمِيْنٍؕ‏﴿21﴾‏

21.Mutaa'in samma ameen

21.one who is obeyed and is trustworthy as well.

 

[10:45.00]

وَ مَا صَاحِبُكُمْ بِمَجْنُوْنٍ‌ۚ‏﴿22﴾‏

22.Wa maa saahibukum bimajnoon

22.Your companion is not crazy:

 

[10:48.00]

وَلَقَدْ رَاٰهُ بِالْاُفُقِ الْمُبِيْنِ‌ۚ‏﴿23﴾‏

23.Wa laqad ra aahu bilufuqil mubeen

23.certainly he saw him on the manifest horizon,

 

[10:52.00]

وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ بِضَنِيْنٍ‌ۚ‏﴿24﴾‏

24.Wa maa huwa 'alal ghaibi bidaneen

24.and he is not miserly concerning the Unseen.

 

[10:55.00]

وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطٰنٍ رَّجِيْمٍۙ‏﴿25﴾‏

25.Wa maa huwa biqawli shaitaanir rajeem

25.And it is not the speech of an outcast Satan.

 

[10:59.00]

فَاَيْنَ تَذْهَبُوْنَؕ‏﴿26﴾‏

26.Fa ayna tazhaboon

26.So where are you going?

 

[11:06.00]

اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعٰلَمِيْنَۙ‏﴿27﴾‏

27.In huwa illaa zikrul lil'aalameen

27.It is just a reminder for all the nations,

 

[11:10.00]

لِمَنْ شَآءَ مِنْكُمْ اَنْ يَّسْتَقِيْمَؕ‏﴿28﴾‏

28.Liman shaaa'a minkum ai yastaqeem

28.for those of you who wish to walk straight;

 

[11:16.00]

وَمَا تَشَآءُوْنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ يَّشَآءَ اللّٰهُ رَبُّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ۠ ‏‏﴿29﴾‏

29.Wa maa tashaaa'oona illaaa ai yashaaa 'al laahu Rabbul 'Aalameen

29.but you will not wish unless it is wished by Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.

 

[11:26.01]

 

 

 

الإنفطار / Al-Infitar / The Cleaving

[11:26.02]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[11:30.00]

اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انْفَطَرَتْۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Izas samaaa'un fatarat

1.When the sky is rent apart,

 

[11:34.00]

وَاِذَا الْكَوَاكِبُ انْتَثَرَتْۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Wa izal kawaakibun tasarat

2.when the stars are scattered,

 

[11:38.00]

وَاِذَا الْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wa izal bihaaru fujjirat

3.when the seas are merged,

 

[11:40.00]

وَاِذَا الْقُبُوْرُ بُعْثِرَتْۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Wa izal qubooru bu'sirat

4.when the graves are overturned,

 

[11:43.00]

عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَاَخَّرَتْؕ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.'Alimat nafsum maa qaddamat wa akhkharat

5.then a soul shall know what it has sent ahead and left behind.

 

[11:48.00]

يٰۤاَيُّهَا الْاِنْسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيْمِۙ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Yaaa ayyuhal insaaanu maa gharraka bi Rabbikal kareem

6.O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord,

 

[12:01.00]

الَّذِىْ خَلَقَكَ فَسَوّٰٮكَ فَعَدَلَكَۙ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Allazee khalaqaka fasaw waaka fa'adalak

7.who created you and proportioned you, and gave you an upright nature,

 

[12:07.00]

فِیْۤ اَىِّ صُوْرَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَؕ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Feee ayye sooratim maa shaaa'a rakkabak

8.and composed you in any form that He wished?

 

[12:14.00]

كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُوْنَ بِالدِّيْنِۙ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Kalla bal tukazziboona bid deen

9.No! Indeed, you deny the Retribution.

 

[12:18.00]

وَاِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحٰفِظِيْنَۙ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Wa inna 'alaikum lahaa fizeen

10.Indeed, there are over you watchers,

 

[12:21.00]

كِرَامًا كَاتِبِيْنَۙ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Kiraaman kaatibeen

11.noble writers,

 

[12:23.00]

يَعْلَمُوْنَ مَا تَفْعَلُوْنَ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Ya'lamoona ma taf'aloon

12.who know whatever you do.

 

[12:27.00]

اِنَّ الْاَبْرَارَ لَفِیْ نَعِيْمٍۚ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Innal abraara lafee na'eem

13.Indeed the pious shall be amid bliss,

 

[12:31.00]

وَاِنَّ الْفُجَّارَ لَفِیْ جَحِيْمٍ ۚۖ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Wa innal fujjaara lafee jaheem

14.and indeed the vicious shall be in hell,

 

[12:35.00]

يَّصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ الدِّيْنِ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Yaslawnahaa Yawmad Deen

15.entering it on the Day of Retribution,

 

[12:38.00]

وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِيْنَؕ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Wa maa hum 'anhaa bighaaa 'ibeen

16.and they shall not be absent from it.

 

[12:44.00]

وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّيْنِۙ‏﴿17﴾‏

17.Wa maaa adraaka maa Yawmud Deen

17.And what will show you what is the Day of Retribution?

 

[12:48.00]

ثُمَّ مَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّيْنِؕ‏﴿18﴾‏

18.Summa maaa adraaka maa Yawmud Deen

18.Again, what will show you what is the Day of Retribution?

 

[12:53.00]

يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْئًا‌ ؕ وَالْاَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ۠ ‏‏﴿19﴾‏

19.Yawma laa tamliku nafsul linafsin shai'anw walamru yawma'izil lillaah

19.It is a day when no soul will be of any avail to another soul and all command that day will belong to Allah.

 

[13:11.01]

 

 

 

المطففين / Al-Mutaffifin / The Defrauding

[13:11.02]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[13:14.00]

وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِيْنَۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Wailul lil mutaffifeen

1.Woe to the defrauders, who use short measures,

 

[13:17.00]

الَّذِيْنَ اِذَا اكْتَالُوْا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُوْنَؗ ۖ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Allazeena izak taaloo 'alan naasi yastawfoon

2.who, when they measure [a commodity bought] from the people, take the full measure,

 

[13:21.00]

وَاِذَا كَالُوْهُمْ اَوْ وَّزَنُوْهُمْ يُخْسِرُوْنَؕ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wa izaa kaaloohum aw wazanoohum yukhsiroon

3.but diminish when they measure or weigh for them.

 

[13:26.00]

اَلَا يَظُنُّ اُولٰٓئِكَ اَنَّهُمْ مَّبْعُوْثُوْنَۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Alaa yazunnu ulaaa'ika annahum mab'oosoon

4.Do they not know that they will be resurrected

 

[13:43.00]

لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيْمٍۙ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Li Yawmin 'Azeem

5.on a tremendous day,

 

[13:45.00]

يَّوْمَ يَقُوْمُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَؕ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Yawma yaqoomun naasu li Rabbil 'aalameen

6.a day when mankind will stand before the Lord of all the worlds?

 

[13:52.00]

كَلَّاۤ اِنَّ كِتٰبَ الْفُجَّارِ لَفِیْ سِجِّيْنٍؕ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Kallaaa inna kitaabal fujjaari lafee Sijjeen

7.Indeed, the record of the vicious is in Sijjeen.

 

[13:57.00]

وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا سِجِّيْنٌؕ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Wa maa adraaka maa Sijjeen

8.And what will show you what is Sijjeen?

 

[14:00.00]

كِتٰبٌ مَّرْقُوْمٌؕ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Kitaabum marqoom

9.It is a written record.

 

[14:03.00]

وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَۙ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Wailuny yawma'izil lil mukazzibeen

10.Woe to the deniers on that day,

 

[14:07.00]

الَّذِيْنَ يُكَذِّبُوْنَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّيْنِؕ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Allazeena yukazziboona bi yawmid deen

11.who deny the Day of Retribution;

 

[14:11.00]

وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهٖۤ اِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ اَثِيْمٍۙ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Wa maa yukazzibu biheee illaa kullu mu'tadin aseem

12.and none denies it except every sinful transgressor.

 

[14:17.00]

اِذَا تُتْلٰى عَلَيْهِ اٰيٰتُنَا قَالَ اَسَاطِيْرُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَؕ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Izaa tutlaa'alaihi aayaatunaa qaala asaateerul awwaleen

13.When Our signs are recited to him, he says, ‘Myths of the ancients!’

 

[14:23.00]

كَلَّا‌ بَلْ رَانَ عَلٰى قُلُوْبِهِمْ مَّا كَانُوْا يَكْسِبُوْنَ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Kallaa bal raana 'alaa quloobihim maa kaanoo yaksiboon

14.No, that is not the case! Rather, their hearts have been sullied by what they have been earning.

 

[14:31.00]

كَلَّاۤ اِنَّهُمْ عَنْ رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوْبُوْنَ‌ؕ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Kallaaa innahum 'ar Rabbihim yawma'izil lamah jooboon

15.Indeed, they will be alienated from their Lord on that day.

 

[14:48.00]

ثُمَّ اِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا الْجَحِيْمِؕ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Summa innahum lasaa lul jaheem

16.Afterward they will enter hell,

 

[14:52.00]

ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هٰذَا الَّذِىْ كُنْتُمْ بِهٖ تُكَذِّبُوْنَؕ‏﴿17﴾‏

17.Summa yuqaalu haazal lazee kuntum bihee tukazziboon

17.then told, ‘This is what you used to deny!’

 

[14:59.00]

كَلَّاۤ اِنَّ كِتٰبَ الْاَبْرَارِ لَفِیْ عِلِّيِّيْنَؕ‏﴿18﴾‏

18.Kallaaa inna kitaabal abraari lafee'Illiyyeen

18.Indeed, the record of the pious is in Illeeyun.

 

[15:04.00]

وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا عِلِّيُّوْنَؕ‏﴿19﴾‏

19.Wa maaa adraaka maa 'Illiyyoon

19.And what will show you what is Illeeyun?

 

[15:07.00]

كِتٰبٌ مَّرْقُوْمٌۙ‏﴿20﴾‏

20.Kitaabum marqoom

20.It is a written record,

 

[15:10.00]

يَّشْهَدُهُ الْمُقَرَّبُوْنَؕ‏﴿21﴾‏

21.Yashhadu hul muqarra boon

21.witnessed by those brought near [to Allah].

 

[15:13.00]

اِنَّ الْاَبْرَارَ لَفِیْ نَعِيْمٍۙ‏﴿22﴾‏

22.Innal abraara lafee Na'eem

22.The pious shall be amid bliss,

 

[15:17.00]

عَلَى الْاَرَآئِكِ يَنْظُرُوْنَۙ‏﴿23﴾‏

23.'Alal araaa'iki yanzuroon

23.observing, [as they recline] on couches.

 

[15:21.00]

تَعْرِفُ فِیْ وُجُوْهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ النَّعِيْمِ‌ۚ‏﴿24﴾‏

24.Ta'rifu fee wujoohihim nadratan na'eem

24.You will perceive in their faces the freshness of bliss.

 

[15:26.00]

يُسْقَوْنَ مِنْ رَّحِيْقٍ مَّخْتُوْمٍۙ‏﴿25﴾‏

25.Yusqawna mir raheeqim makhtoom

25.They will be served with a sealed pure wine,

 

[15:30.00]

خِتٰمُهٗ مِسْكٌ ‌ؕ وَفِیْ ذٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُوْنَ‏﴿26﴾‏

26.Khitaamuhoo misk; wa fee zaalika falyatanaafasil Mutanaafisoon

26.whose seal is musk—for such let the viers vie—

 

[15:37.00]

وَ مِزَاجُهٗ مِنْ تَسْنِيْمٍۙ‏﴿27﴾‏

27.Wa mizaajuhoo min Tasneem

27.and whose seasoning is from Tasneem,

 

[15:40.00]

عَيْنًا يَّشْرَبُ بِهَا الْمُقَرَّبُوْنَؕ‏﴿28﴾‏

28.'Ainaiy yashrabu bihal muqarraboon

28.a spring where those brought near [to Allah] drink.

 

[15:44.00]

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ اَجْرَمُوْا كَانُوْا مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا يَضْحَكُوْنَؗ ۖ‏﴿29﴾‏

29.Innal lazeena ajramoo kaanoo minal lazeena aamanoo yadhakoon

29.Indeed the guilty used to laugh at the faithful,

 

[15:51.00]

وَاِذَا مَرُّوْا بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُوْنَؗ ۖ‏﴿30﴾‏

30.Wa izaa marroo bihim yataghaamazoon

30.and when they passed them by they would wink at each other,

 

[15:55.00]

وَاِذَا انْقَلَبُوْۤا اِلٰٓى اَهْلِهِمُ انْقَلَبُوْا فَكِهِيْنَؗ ۖ‏﴿31﴾‏

31.Wa izan qalabooo ilaaa ahlihimun qalaboo fakiheen

31.and when they returned to their folks they would return amused,

 

[16:01.00]

وَاِذَا رَاَوْهُمْ قَالُوْۤا اِنَّ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ لَضَآلُّوْنَۙ‏﴿32﴾‏

32.Wa izaa ra awhum qaalooo inna haaa'ulaaa'i ladaaal loon

32.and when they saw them they would say, ‘Indeed those are the astray!’

 

[16:13.00]

وَمَاۤ اُرْسِلُوْا عَلَيْهِمْ حٰفِظِيْنَۙ‏﴿33﴾‏

33.Wa maaa ursiloo 'alaihim haafizeen

33.Though they were not sent to watch over them.

 

[16:17.00]

فَالْيَوْمَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُوْنَۙ‏﴿34﴾‏

34.Fal yawmal lazeena aamanoo minal kuffaari yadhakoon

34.So today the faithful will laugh at the faithless,

 

[16:23.00]

عَلَى الْاَرَآئِكِۙ يَنْظُرُوْنَؕ‏﴿35﴾‏

35.'Alal araaa'iki yanzuroon

35.observing from their couches:

 

[16:28.00]

هَلْ ثُوِّبَ الْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوْا يَفْعَلُوْنَ۠ ‏‏﴿36﴾‏

36.Hal suwwibal kuffaaru maa kaanoo yaf'aloon

36.Have the faithless been requited for what they used to do?

 

[16:35.01]

 

 

 

الإنشقاق / Al-Inshiqaq / The Sundering

[16:35.02]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[16:39.00]

اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انْشَقَّتْۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Izas samaaa'un shaqqat

1.When the sky is split open

 

[16:43.00]

وَاَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Wa azinat li Rabbihaa wa huqqat

2.and gives ear to its Lord as it should.

 

[16:47.00]

وَاِذَا الْاَرْضُ مُدَّتْؕ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wa izal ardu muddat

3.When the earth is spread out

 

[16:49.00]

وَاَلْقَتْ مَا فِيْهَا وَتَخَلَّتْۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Wa alqat maa feehaa wa takhallat

4.and throws out what is in it, emptying itself,

 

[16:52.00]

وَاَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْؕ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Wa azinat li Rabbihaa wa huqqat

5.and gives ear to its Lord as it should.

 

[16:56.00]

يٰۤاَيُّهَا الْاِنْسَانُ اِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلٰقِيْهِ‌ۚ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Yaaa ayyuhal insaanu innaka kaadihun ilaa Rabbika kad han famulaaqeeh

6.O man! You are labouring toward your Lord laboriously, and you will encounter Him.

 

[17:06.00]

فَاَمَّا مَنْ اُوْتِىَ كِتٰبَهٗ بِيَمِيْنِهٖۙ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Fa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo biyameenih

7.Then, as for him who is given his record [of deeds] in his right hand,

 

[17:14.00]

فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَّسِيْرًا ۙ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Fasawfa yuhaasabu hi saabai yaseeraa

8.he will receive an easy reckoning,

 

[17:19.00]

وَّيَنْقَلِبُ اِلٰٓى اَهْلِهٖ مَسْرُوْرًا ؕ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Wa yanqalibu ilaaa ahlihee masrooraa

9.and he will return to his folks joyfully.

 

[17:23.00]

وَاَمَّا مَنْ اُوْتِىَ كِتٰبَهٗ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهٖۙ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Wa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo waraaa'a zahrih

10.But as for him who is given his record from behind his back,

 

[17:30.00]

فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُوْا ثُبُوْرًا ۙ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Fasawfa yad'oo subooraa

11.he will pray for annihilation

 

[17:33.00]

وَّيَصْلٰى سَعِيْرًا ؕ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Wa yaslaa sa'eeraa

12.and enter the Blaze.

 

[17:35.00]

اِنَّهٗ كَانَ فِیْۤ اَهْلِهٖ مَسْرُوْرًا ؕ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Innahoo kaana feee ahlihee masrooraa

13.Indeed he used to be joyful among his folk,

 

[17:40.00]

اِنَّهٗ ظَنَّ اَنْ لَّنْ يَّحُوْرَ ۛۚ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Innahoo zanna al lai yahoor

14.and he thought that he would never return.

 

[17:45.00]

بَلٰٓى ۛۚ اِنَّ رَبَّهٗ كَانَ بِهٖ بَصِيْرًا ؕ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Balaaa inna Rabbahoo kaana bihee baseeraa

15.Yes, his Lord had been watching him.

 

[17:50.00]

فَلَاۤ اُقْسِمُ بِالشَّفَقِۙ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Falaaa uqsimu bishshafaq

16.I swear by the evening glow,

 

[17:53.00]

وَالَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَۙ‏﴿17﴾‏

17.Wallaili wa maa wasaq

17.by the night and what it is fraught with,

 

[17:55.00]

وَالْقَمَرِ اِذَا اتَّسَقَۙ‏﴿18﴾‏

18.Walqamari izat tasaq

18.by the moon when it blooms full:

 

[17:57.00]

لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَنْ طَبَقٍؕ‏﴿19﴾‏

19.Latarkabunna tabaqan 'an tabaq

19.you will surely fare from stage to stage.

 

[18:02.00]

فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَۙ‏﴿20﴾‏

20.Famaa lahum laa yu'minoon

20.What is the matter with them that they will not believe,

 

[18:06.00]

وَاِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقُرْاٰنُ لَا يَسْجُدُوْنَ ؕ ۩‏﴿21﴾‏

21.Wa izaa quri'a 'alaihimul Quraanu laa yasjudoon

21.and will not prostrate when the Quran is recited to them?

 

[18:13.00]

بَلِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا يُكَذِّبُوْنَؗ ۖ‏﴿22﴾‏

22.Balil lazeena kafaroo yukazziboon

22.Indeed, the faithless impugn [the Apostle],

 

[18:17.00]

وَاللّٰهُ اَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوْعُوْنَؗ ۖ‏﴿23﴾‏

23.Wallaahu a'lamu bimaa yoo'oon

23.and Allah knows best what they keep to themselves.

 

[18:20.90]

فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ اَلِيْمٍۙ‏﴿24﴾‏

24.Fabashshirhum bi'azaabin aleem

24.So inform them of a painful punishment,

 

[18:24.00]

اِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمْ اَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُوْنٍ۠ ‏‏﴿25﴾‏

25.Illal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati lahum ajrun ghairu mamnoon

25.excepting such as are faithful and do righteous deeds: for them there will be an everlasting reward.

 

[18:33.01]

 

 

 

البروج / Al-Buruj / The Mansions of the Stars

[18:33.02]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[18:36.00]

وَالسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوْجِۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Wassamaaa'i zaatil burooj

1.By the heaven with its Houses,

 

[18:40.00]

وَالْيَوْمِ الْمَوْعُوْدِۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Wal yawmil maw'ood

2.by the Promised Day,

 

[18:42.00]

وَشَاهِدٍ وَّمَشْهُوْدٍؕ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wa shaahidinw wa mashhood

3.by the Witness and the Witnessed:

 

[18:47.00]

قُتِلَ اَصْحٰبُ الْاُخْدُوْدِۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Qutila as haabul ukhdood

4.perish the People of the Ditch!

 

[18:50.00]

النَّارِ ذَاتِ الْوَقُوْدِۙ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Annaari zaatil waqood

5.The fire abounding in fuel,

 

[18:54.00]

اِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُوْدٌ ۙ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Iz hum 'alaihaa qu'ood

6.above which they sat

 

[18:58.00]

وَّهُمْ عَلٰى مَا يَفْعَلُوْنَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ شُهُوْدٌ ؕ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Wa hum 'alaa maa yaf'aloona bilmu 'mineena shuhood

7.as they were themselves witnesses to what they did to the faithful.

 

[19:10.00]

وَمَا نَقَمُوْا مِنْهُمْ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ يُّؤْمِنُوْا بِاللّٰهِ الْعَزِيْزِ الْحَمِيْدِۙ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Wa maa naqamoo minhum illaaa aiyu'minoo billaahil 'azeezil Hameed

8.They were vindictive towards them only because they had faith in Allah, the All-mighty and the All-laudable,

 

[19:26.00]

الَّذِىْ لَهٗ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ‌ؕ وَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيْدٌ ؕ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Allazee lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ard; wallaahu 'alaa kulli shai 'in Shaheed

9.to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is witness to all things.

 

[19:35.00]

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ فَتَنُوا الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوْبُوْا فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ الْحَرِيْقِؕ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Innal lazeena fatanul mu'mineena wal mu'minaati summa lam yatooboo falahum 'azaabu Jahannama wa lahum 'azaabul hareeq

10.Indeed those who persecute the faithful, men and women, and do not repent thereafter, there is the punishment of hell for them and the punishment of burning.

 

[19:48.00]

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمْ جَنّٰتٌ تَجْرِىْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهٰرُ ؕؔ۬ ذٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْكَبِيْرُؕ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Innal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati lahum Jannaatun tajree min tahtihal anhaar; zaalikal fawzul kabeer

11.Indeed those who have faith and do righteous deeds—for them will be gardens with streams running in them. That is the supreme success.

 

[20:03.00]

اِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيْدٌ ؕ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Inna batsha Rabbika lashadeed

12.Indeed your Lord’s striking is severe.

 

[20:07.00]

اِنَّهٗ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيْدُ‌ ۚ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Innahoo Huwa yubdi'u wa yu'eed

13.It is indeed He who originates and brings back,

 

[20:12.00]

وَهُوَ الْغَفُوْرُ الْوَدُوْدُۙ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Wa Huwal Ghafoorul Wadood

14.and He is the All-forgiving, the All-affectionate,

 

[20:15.00]

ذُو الْعَرْشِ الْمَجِيْدُ ۙ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Zul 'Arshil Majeed

15.Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious,

 

[20:18.00]

فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيْدُ ؕ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Fa' 'aalul limaa yureed

16.doer of what He desires.

 

[20:44.00]

هَلْ اَتٰٮكَ حَدِيْثُ الْجُنُوْدِۙ‏﴿17﴾‏

17.Hal ataaka hadeesul junood

17.Did you receive the story of the hosts

 

[20:48.00]

فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُوْدَؕ‏﴿18﴾‏

18.Fir'awna wa Samood

18.of Pharaoh and Thamud?

 

[20:50.00]

بَلِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا فِیْ تَكْذِيْبٍۙ‏﴿19﴾‏

19.Balil lazeena kafaroo fee takzeeb

19.Indeed the faithless dwell in denial,

 

[20:54.00]

وَّاللّٰهُ مِنْ وَّرَآئِهِمْ مُّحِيْطٌۚ‏﴿20﴾‏

20.Wallaahu minw waraaa'ihim muheet

20.and Allah besieges them from all around.

 

[21:01.00]

بَلْ هُوَ قُرْاٰنٌ مَّجِيْدٌ ۙ‏﴿21﴾‏

21.Bal huwa Quraanum Majeed

21.Indeed it is a glorious Quran,

 

[21:10.00]

فِیْ لَوْحٍ مَّحْفُوْظٍ۠ ‏‏﴿22﴾‏

22.Fee Lawhim Mahfooz

22.in a preserved tablet.

 

[21:14.90]

 

 

 

الطارق / At-Tariq / The Nightcommer

[21:15.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[21:18.00]

وَالسَّمَآءِ وَالطَّارِقِۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Wassamaaa'i wattaariq

1.By the heaven, and by the nightly visitor

 

[21:22.00]

وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا الطَّارِقُۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Wa maaa adraaka mattaariq

2.(and what will show you what is the nightly visitor?

 

[21:24.00]

النَّجْمُ الثَّاقِبُۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Annajmus saaqib

3.It is the brilliant star:

 

[21:27.00]

اِنْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌؕ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.In kullu nafsil lammaa 'alaihaa haafiz

4.there is a guard over every soul.

 

[21:32.00]

فَلْيَنْظُرِ الْاِنْسَانُ مِمَّ خُلِقَؕ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Fal yanzuril insaanu mimma khuliq

5.So let man consider from what he was created.

 

[21:36.00]

خُلِقَ مِنْ مَّآءٍ دَافِقٍۙ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Khuliqa mim maaa'in daafiq

6.He was created from an effusing fluid

 

[21:40.00]

يَّخْرُجُ مِنْۢ بَيْنِ الصُّلْبِ وَالتَّرَآئِبِؕ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Yakhruju mim bainissulbi wat taraaa'ib

7.which issues from between the loins and the breast-bones.

 

[21:45.00]

اِنَّهٗ عَلٰى رَجْعِهٖ لَقَادِرٌؕ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Innahoo 'alaa raj'ihee laqaadir

8.Indeed He is able to bring him back [after death],

 

[21:50.00]

يَوْمَ تُبْلَى السَّرَآئِرُۙ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Yawma tublas saraaa'ir

9.on the day when the secrets are examined

 

[21:53.00]

فَمَا لَهٗ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ وَّلَا نَاصِرٍؕ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Famaa lahoo min quwwatinw wa laa naasir

10.and he shall have neither power nor helper.

 

[21:59.00]

وَالسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ الرَّجْعِۙ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Wassamaaa'i zaatir raj'

11.By the resurgent heaven,

 

[22:02.00]

وَالْاَرْضِ ذَاتِ الصَّدْعِۙ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Wal ardi zaatis sad'

12.and by the furrowed earth:

 

[22:05.00]

اِنَّهٗ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌۙ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Innahoo laqawlun fasl

13.it is indeed a conclusive discourse,

 

[22:09.00]

وَّمَا هُوَ بِالْهَزْلِؕ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Wa maa huwa bil hazl

14.and not a jest.

 

[22:11.00]

اِنَّهُمْ يَكِيْدُوْنَ كَيْدًا ۙ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Innahum yakeedoona kaidaa

15.Indeed they are devising a stratagem,

 

[22:14.00]

وَّاَكِيْدُ كَيْدًا ۚۖ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Wa akeedu kaidaa

16.and I [too] am devising a plan.

 

[22:17.00]

فَمَهِّلِ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ اَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًا۠ ‏‏﴿17﴾‏

17.Famahhilil kaafireena amhilhum ruwaidaa

17.So respite the faithless; give them a gentle respite.

الأعلى / Al-A'la / The Most High

[22:27.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[22:30.00]

سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْاَعْلَىۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Sabbihisma Rabbikal A'laa

1.Celebrate the Name of your Lord, the Most Exalted,

 

[22:32.00]

الَّذِىْ خَلَقَ فَسَوّٰى۪ ۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Allazee khalaqa fasawwaa

2.who created and proportioned,

 

[22:35.00]

وَالَّذِىْ قَدَّرَ فَهَدٰى۪ ۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wallazee qaddara fahadaa

3.who determined and guided,

 

[22:38.00]

وَالَّذِىْۤ اَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعٰى۪ ۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Wallazeee akhrajal mar'aa

4.who brought forth the pasture

 

[22:40.00]

فَجَعَلَهٗ غُثَآءً اَحْوٰىؕ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Faja'alahoo ghusaaa'an ahwaa

5.and then turned it into a black scum.

 

[22:45.00]

سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنْسٰٓىۙ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Sanuqri'uka falaa tansaaa

6.We shall have you recite [the Quran], then you will not forget [any of it]

 

[22:47.00]

اِلَّا مَا شَآءَ اللّٰهُ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفٰىؕ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Illaa maa shaaa'al laah; innahoo ya'lamul jahra wa maa yakhfaa

7.except what Allah may wish. Indeed, He knows the open and what is hidden.

 

[23:00.00]

وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرٰى ‌ۖ‌ۚ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Wa nu-yassiruka lilyusraa

8.And We shall ease you into facility.

 

[23:02.00]

فَذَكِّرْ اِنْ نَّفَعَتِ الذِّكْرٰىؕ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Fazakkir in nafa'atizzikraa

9.So admonish, for admonition is indeed beneficial:

 

[23:06.00]

سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَنْ يَّخْشٰىۙ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Sa yazzakkaru maiyakhshaa

10.he who fears [God] will take admonition,

 

[23:09.00]

وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْاَشْقَىۙ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Wa yatajannabuhal ashqaa

11.and the most wretched will shun it

 

[23:13.00]

الَّذِىْ يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرٰى‌ۚ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Allazee yaslan Naaral kubraa

12.—he who will enter the Great Fire,

 

[23:16.00]

ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوْتُ فِيْهَا وَلَا يَحْيٰىؕ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Summa laa yamootu feehaa wa laa yahyaa

13.then he will neither live in it, nor die.

 

[23:20.00]

قَدْ اَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكّٰىۙ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Qad aflaha man tazakkaa

14.‘Felicitous is he who purifies himself,

 

[23:23.00]

وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهٖ فَصَلّٰى‌ ؕ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Wa zakaras ma Rabbihee fasallaa

15.celebrates the Name of his Lord, and prays.

 

[23:26.00]

بَلْ تُؤْثِرُوْنَ الْحَيٰوةَ الدُّنْيَاؗ ۖ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Bal tu'siroonal hayaatad dunyaa

16.But you prefer the life of this world,

 

[23:30.00]

وَالْاٰخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَّ اَبْقٰىؕ‏﴿17﴾‏

17.Wal Aakhiratu khairunw wa abqaa

17.while the Hereafter is better and more lasting.’

 

[23:37.00]

اِنَّ هٰذَا لَفِى الصُّحُفِ الْاُوْلٰىۙ‏﴿18﴾‏

18.Inna haazaa lafis suhu fil oolaa

18.This is indeed in the former scriptures,

 

[23:41.00]

صُحُفِ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ وَمُوْسٰى۠ ‏‏﴿19﴾‏

19.Suhufi Ibraaheema wa Moosaa

19.the scriptures of Abraham and Moses.

 

[23:44.00]

 

 

 

الغاشية / Al-Ghashiyah / The Overwhelming

[23:45.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[23:48.00]

هَلْ اَتٰٮكَ حَدِيْثُ الْغَاشِيَةِؕ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Hal ataaka hadeesul ghaashiyah

1.Did you receive the account of the Enveloper?

 

[23:51.00]

وُجُوْهٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ خَاشِعَةٌ ۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Wujoohuny yawma 'izin khaashi'ah

2.Some faces on that day will be humbled,

 

[23:55.00]

عَامِلَةٌ نَّاصِبَةٌ ۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.'Aamilatun naasibah

3.wrought-up and weary:

 

[23:58.00]

تَصْلٰى نَارًا حَامِيَةً ۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Taslaa naaran haamiyah

4.they will enter a scorching fire

 

[24:01.00]

تُسْقٰى مِنْ عَيْنٍ اٰنِيَةٍؕ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Tusqaa min 'aynin aaniyah

5.and made to drink from a boiling spring.

 

[24:04.00]

لَيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ اِلَّا مِنْ ضَرِيْعٍۙ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Laisa lahum ta'aamun illaa min daree'

6.They will have no food except cactus,

 

[24:10.00]

لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِىْ مِنْ جُوْعٍؕ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Laa yusminu wa laa yughnee min joo'

7.neither nourishing, nor of avail against hunger.

 

[24:16.00]

وُجُوْهٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ نَّاعِمَةٌ ۙ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Wujoohuny yawma 'izin naa'imah

8.Some faces on that day will be joyous,

 

[24:20.00]

لِّسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ ۙ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Lisa'yihaa raadiyah

9.pleased with their endeavour,

 

[24:23.00]

فِیْ جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍۙ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Fee jannatin 'aaliyah

10.in a lofty garden,

 

[24:25.00]

لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِيْهَا لَاغِيَةً ؕ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Laa tasma'u feehaa laaghiyah

11.where they will not hear any vain talk.

 

[24:28.00]

فِيْهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ‌ ۘ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Feehaa 'aynun jaariyah

12.In it is a flowing spring

 

[24:32.00]

فِيْهَا سُرُرٌ مَّرْفُوْعَةٌ ۙ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Feehaa sururum marfoo'ah

13.and raised couches,

 

[24:35.00]

وَّاَكْوَابٌ مَّوْضُوْعَةٌ ۙ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Wa akwaabum mawdoo 'ah

14.with goblets set,

 

[24:38.00]

وَّنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوْفَةٌ ۙ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Wa namaariqu masfoofah

15.and cushions laid out in an array,

 

[24:41.00]

وَّزَرَابِىُّ مَبْثُوْثَةٌ ؕ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Wa zaraabiyyu mabsoosah

16.and carpets spread out.

 

[24:44.00]

اَفَلَا يَنْظُرُوْنَ اِلَى الْاِ بِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ ۥ ‏﴿17﴾‏

17.Afalaa yanzuroona ilalibili kaifa khuliqat

17.Do they not observe the camel, [to see] how it has been created?

 

[24:49.00]

وَاِلَى السَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ ۥ ‏﴿18﴾‏

18.Wa ilas samaaa'i kaifa rufi'at

18.and the sky, how it has been raised?

 

[24:53.00]

وَاِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ ۥ ‏﴿19﴾‏

19.Wa ilal jibaali kaifa nusibat

19.and the mountains, how they have been set?

 

[24:56.00]

وَاِلَى الْاَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ ۥ ‏﴿20﴾‏

20.Wa ilal ardi kaifa sutihat

20.and the earth, how it has been surfaced?

 

[24:59.00]

فَذَكِّرْ  ؕ اِنَّمَاۤ اَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌ ؕ‏﴿21﴾‏

21.Fazakkir innama anta Muzakkir

21.So admonish—for you are only an admonisher,

 

[25:04.00]

لَسْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِمُصَۜيْطِرٍۙ‏﴿22﴾‏

22.Lasta 'alaihim bimusaitir

22.and not a taskmaster over them—

 

[25:08.00]

اِلَّا مَنْ تَوَلّٰى وَكَفَرَۙ‏﴿23﴾‏

23.Illaa man tawallaa wa kafar

23.except him who turns back and disbelieves.

 

[25:10.00]

فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اللّٰهُ الْعَذَابَ الْاَكْبَرَؕ‏﴿24﴾‏

24.Fa yu'azzibuhul laahul 'azaabal akbar

24.Him Allah will punish with the greatest punishment.

 

[25:19.00]

اِنَّ اِلَيْنَاۤ اِيَابَهُمْۙ‏﴿25﴾‏

25.Innaa ilainaaa iyaabahum

25.Indeed to Us will be their return.

 

[25:22.00]

ثُمَّ اِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُمْ۠ ‏‏﴿26﴾‏

26.Summa inna 'alainaa hisaabahum

26.Then, indeed, their reckoning will lie with Us.

 

[25:28.00]

 

 

 

الفجر / Al-Fajr / The Dawn

[25:29.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[25:32.00]

وَالْفَجْرِۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Wal-Fajr

1.By the Dawn,

 

[25:33.00]

وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Wa layaalin 'ashr

2.by the ten nights,

 

[25:35.00]

وَّالشَّفْعِ وَالْوَتْرِۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wash shaf'i wal watr

3.by the Even and the Odd,

 

[25:37.00]

وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا يَسْرِ‌ۚ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Wallaili izaa yasr

4.by the night when it departs!

 

[25:39.00]

هَلْ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِّذِىْ حِجْرٍؕ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Hal fee zaalika qasamul lizee hijr

5.Is there an oath in that for one possessing intellect?

 

[25:43.00]

اَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ۪ ۙ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Alam tara kaifa fa'ala rabbuka bi'aad

6.Have you not regarded how your Lord dealt with [the people of] ‘Ad,

 

[25:47.00]

اِرَمَ ذَاتِ الْعِمَادِ۪ ۙ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Iramaa zaatil 'imaad

7.[and] Iram, [the city] of the pillars,

 

[25:49.00]

الَّتِىْ لَمْ يُخْلَقْ مِثْلُهَا فِى الْبِلَادِ۪ ۙ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Allatee lam yukhlaq misluhaa fil bilaad

8.the like of which was not created among cities,

 

[25:53.00]

وَثَمُوْدَ الَّذِيْنَ جَابُوا الصَّخْرَ بِالْوَادِ۪ ۙ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Wa samoodal lazeena jaabus sakhra bil waad

9.and [the people of] Thamud, who hollowed out the rocks in the valley,

 

[25:58.00]

وَفِرْعَوْنَ ذِى الْاَوْتَادِ۪ ۙ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Wa fir'awna zil awtaad

10.and Pharaoh, the impaler

 

[26:00.00]

الَّذِيْنَ طَغَوْا فِى الْبِلَادِ۪ ۙ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Allazeena taghaw fil bilaad

11.—those who rebelled [against Allah] in their cities

 

[26:03.00]

فَاَكْثَرُوْا فِيْهَا الْفَسَادَ۪ ۙ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Fa aksaroo feehal fasaad

12.and caused much corruption in them,

 

[26:06.00]

فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍ ۙۚ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Fasabba 'alaihim Rabbuka sawta 'azaab

13.so your Lord poured on them lashes of punishment.

 

[26:11.00]

اِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالْمِرْصَادِؕ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Inna Rabbaka labil mirsaad

14.Indeed your Lord is in ambush.

 

[26:20.00]

فَاَمَّا الْاِنْسَانُ اِذَا مَا ابْتَلٰٮهُ رَبُّهٗ فَاَكْرَمَهٗ وَنَعَّمَهٗ۬ ۙ فَيَقُوْلُ رَبِّىْۤ اَكْرَمَنِؕ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Fa ammal insaanu izaa mab talaahu Rabbuhoo fa akramahoo wa na' 'amahoo fa yaqoolu Rabbeee akraman

15.As for man, whenever his Lord tests him, and grants him honour, and blesses him, he says, ‘My Lord has honoured me.’

 

[26:30.00]

وَاَمَّاۤ اِذَا مَا ابْتَلٰٮهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقَهٗ۬ ۙ فَيَقُوْلُ رَبِّىْۤ اَهَانَنِ‌ۚ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Wa ammaaa izaa mabtalaahu faqadara 'alaihi rizqahoo fa yaqoolu Rabbeee ahaanan

16.But when He tests him and tightens for him his provision, he says, ‘My Lord has humiliated me.’

 

[26:39.00]

كَلَّا‌ بَلْ لَّا تُكْرِمُوْنَ الْيَتِيْمَۙ‏﴿17﴾‏

17.Kalla bal laa tukrimooo nal yateem

17.No indeed! No, you do not honour the orphan,

 

[26:43.00]

وَلَا تَحٰٓضُّوْنَ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِيْنِۙ‏﴿18﴾‏

18.Wa laa tahaaaddoona 'alaata'aamil miskeen

18.and do not urge the feeding of the needy.

 

[26:50.00]

وَتَاْكُلُوْنَ التُّرَاثَ اَكْلًا لَّمًّا ۙ‏﴿19﴾‏

19.Wa taakuloonat turaasa aklal lammaa

19.You eat the inheritance rapaciously,

 

[26:54.00]

وَّتُحِبُّوْنَ الْمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّا ؕ‏﴿20﴾‏

20.Wa tuhibboonal maala hubban jammaa

20.and love wealth with much fondness.

 

[26:59.00]

كَلَّاۤ اِذَا دُكَّتِ الْاَرْضُ دَكًّا دَكًّا ۙ‏﴿21﴾‏

21.Kallaaa izaaa dukkatil ardu dakkan dakka

21.No indeed! When the earth is levelled to a plain,

 

[27:04.00]

وَّجَآءَ رَبُّكَ وَالْمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّا ۚ‏﴿22﴾‏

22.Wa jaaa'a Rabbuka wal malaku saffan saffaa

22.and your Lord [’s edict] arrives with the angels in ranks,

 

[27:12.00]

وَجِاىْٓءَ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ بِجَهَنَّمَ۬ ۙ‌ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَّتَذَكَّرُ الْاِنْسَانُ وَاَنّٰى لَهُ الذِّكْرٰىؕ‏﴿23﴾‏

23.Wa jeee'a yawma'izim bi jahannnam; Yawma 'iziny yatazakkarul insaanu wa annaa lahuz zikraa

23.the day when hell is brought [near], man will take admonition on that day, but what will that admonition avail him?

 

[27:33.00]

يَقُوْلُ يٰلَيْتَنِىْ قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِى‌ۚ‏﴿24﴾‏

24.Yaqoolu yaa laitanee qaddamtu lihayaatee

24.He will say, ‘Alas, had I sent ahead for my life [in the Hereafter]!’

 

[27:37.00]

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهٗۤ اَحَدٌ ۙ‏﴿25﴾‏

25.Fa Yawma izil laa yu'azzibu 'azaabahooo ahad

25.On that day none shall punish as He punishes,

 

[27:43.00]

وَّلَا يُوْثِقُ وَثَاقَهٗۤ اَحَدٌ ؕ‏﴿26﴾‏

26.Wa laa yoosiqu wasaaqa hooo ahad

26.and none shall bind as He binds.

 

[27:46.00]

يٰۤاَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئِنَّةُۗ ۖ‏﴿27﴾‏

27.Yaaa ayyatuhan nafsul mutma 'innah

27.‘O soul at peace!

 

[27:51.00]

ارْجِعِىْۤ اِلٰى رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرْضِيَّةً‌ ۚ‏﴿28﴾‏

28.Irji'eee ilaa Rabbiki raadiyatam mardiyyah

28.Return to your Lord, pleased and pleasing!

 

[28:00.00]

فَادْخُلِىْ فِیْ عِبٰدِىۙ‏﴿29﴾‏

29.Fadkhulee fee 'ibaadee

29.Then enter among My servants,

 

[28:03.00]

وَادْخُلِىْ جَنَّتِى۠ ‏‏﴿30﴾‏

30.Wadkhulee jannatee

30.and enter My paradise!’

 

[28:07.00]

 

 

 

البلد / Al-Balad / The City

[28:08.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[28:11.00]

لَاۤ اُقْسِمُ بِهٰذَا الْبَلَدِۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Laaa uqsimu bihaazal balad

1.I swear by this town,

 

[28:14.00]

وَاَنْتَ حِلٌّ ۢ بِهٰذَا الْبَلَدِۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Wa anta hillum bihaazal balad

2.as you reside in this town;

 

[28:17.00]

وَوَالِدٍ وَّمَا وَلَدَ ۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wa waalidinw wa maa walad

3.[and] by the father and him whom he begot:

 

[28:20.00]

لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْاِنْسَانَ فِیْ كَبَدٍؕ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Laqad khalaqnal insaana fee kabad

4.certainly We created man in travail.

 

[28:25.00]

اَيَحْسَبُ اَنْ لَّنْ يَّقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ اَحَدٌ‌ ۘ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Ayahsabu al-lai yaqdira 'alaihi ahad

5.Does he suppose that no one will ever have power over him?

 

[28:28.00]

يَقُوْلُ اَهْلَكْتُ مَالًا لُّبَدًا ؕ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Yaqoolu ahlaktu maalal lubadaa

6.He says, ‘I have squandered immense wealth.’

 

[28:31.00]

اَيَحْسَبُ اَنْ لَّمْ يَرَهٗۤ اَحَدٌ ؕ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Ayahsabu al lam yarahooo ahad

7.Does he suppose that no one sees him?

 

[28:35.00]

اَلَمْ نَجْعَلْ لَّهٗ عَيْنَيْنِۙ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Alam naj'al lahoo 'aynayn

8.Have We not made for him two eyes,

 

[28:37.00]

وَلِسَانًا وَّشَفَتَيْنِۙ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Wa lisaananw wa shafatayn

9.a tongue, and two lips,

 

[28:40.00]

وَهَدَيْنٰهُ النَّجْدَيْنِ‌ۚ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Wa hadaynaahun najdayn

10.and shown him the two paths [of good and evil]?

 

[28:44.00]

فَلَا اقْتَحَمَ الْعَقَبَةَؗ ۖ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Falaq tahamal-'aqabah

11.Yet he has not embarked upon the uphill task.

 

[28:46.00]

وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا الْعَقَبَةُ ؕ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Wa maaa adraaka mal'aqabah

12.And what will show you what is the uphill task?

 

[28:49.00]

فَكُّ رَقَبَةٍ ۙ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Fakku raqabah

13.[It is] the freeing of a slave,

 

[28:51.00]

اَوْ اِطْعٰمٌ فِیْ يَوْمٍ ذِىْ مَسْغَبَةٍ ۙ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Aw it'aamun fee yawmin zee masghabah

14.or feeding, during days of [general] starvation,

 

[28:54.00]

يَّتِيْمًا ذَا مَقْرَبَةٍ ۙ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Yateeman zaa maqrabah

15.an orphan among relatives

 

[28:57.00]

اَوْ مِسْكِيْنًا ذَا مَتْرَبَةٍ ؕ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Aw miskeenan zaa matrabah

16.or a needy man in desolation,

 

[29:00.00]

ثُمَّ كَانَ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْمَرْحَمَةِ ؕ‏﴿17﴾‏

17.Summa kaana minal lazeena aamanoo wa tawaasaw bissabri wa tawaasaw bilmarhamah

17.while being one of those who have faith and enjoin one another to patience, and enjoin one another to compassion.

 

[29:08.00]

اُولٰٓئِكَ اَصْحٰبُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ ؕ‏﴿18﴾‏

18.Ulaaa'ika As-haabul maimanah

18.They are the People of the Right Hand.

 

[29:13.00]

وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا هُمْ اَصْحٰبُ الْمَشْئَمَةِ ؕ‏﴿19﴾‏

19.Wallazeena kafaroo bi aayaatinaa hum as-haabul Mash'amah

19.But those who defy Our signs, they are the People of the Left Hand.

 

[29:18.00]

عَلَيْهِمْ نَارٌ مُّؤْصَدَةٌ۠ ‏‏﴿20﴾‏

20.Alaihim naarum mu'sadah

20.A closed Fire will be [imposed] upon them.

 

[29:24.01]

 

 

 

الشمس / Ash-Shams / The Sun

[29:24.02]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[29:27.00]

وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحٰٮهَا۪ ۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Wash shamsi wa duhaa haa

1.By the sun and her forenoon splendour,

 

[29:29.00]

وَالْقَمَرِ اِذَا تَلٰٮهَا ۪ ۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Wal qamari izaa talaa haa

2.by the moon when he follows her,

 

[29:32.00]

وَالنَّهَارِ اِذَا جَلّٰٮهَا۪ ۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wannahaari izaa jallaa haa

3.by the day when it reveals her,

 

[29:34.00]

وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا يَغْشٰٮهَا۪ ۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Wallaili izaa yaghshaa haa

4.by the night when it covers her,

 

[29:38.00]

وَالسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنٰٮهَا۪ ۙ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Wassamaaa'i wa maa banaahaa

5.by the sky and Him who built it,

 

[29:43.00]

وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَا طَحٰٮهَا۪ ۙ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Wal ardi wa maa tahaahaa

6.by the earth and Him who spread it,

 

[29:46.00]

وَنَفْسٍ وَّمَا سَوّٰٮهَا۪ ۙ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Wa nafsinw wa maa sawwaahaa

7.by the soul and Him who fashioned it,

 

[29:50.00]

فَاَلْهَمَهَا فُجُوْرَهَا وَتَقْوٰٮهَا۪ ۙ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Fa-alhamahaa fujoorahaa wa taqwaahaa

8.and inspired it with [discernment between] its virtues and vices:

 

[29:54.00]

قَدْ اَفْلَحَ مَنْ زَكّٰٮهَا۪ ۙ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Qad aflaha man zakkaahaa

9.one who purifies it is felicitous,

 

[29:58.00]

وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنْ دَسّٰٮهَا ؕ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Wa qad khaaba man dassaahaa

10.and one who betrays it fails.

 

[30:03.00]

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُوْدُ بِطَغْوٰٮهَآ ۪ ۙ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Kazzabat Samoodu bi taghwaahaaa

11.The [people of] Thamud denied [Allah’s signs] out of their rebellion,

 

[30:06.00]

اِذِ انْۢبَعَثَ اَشْقٰٮهَا ۪ ۙ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Izim ba'asa ashqaahaa

12.when the most wretched of them rose up.

 

[30:09.00]

فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ نَاقَةَ اللّٰهِ وَسُقْيٰهَا ؕ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Faqaala lahum Rasoolul laahi naaqatal laahi wa suqiyaahaa

13.The apostle of Allah had told them, ‘This is Allah’s she-camel, let her drink!’

 

[30:15.00]

فَكَذَّبُوْهُ فَعَقَرُوْهَا۬ ۪ ۙفَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِذَنْۢبِهِمْ فَسَوّٰٮهَا ۪ ۙ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Fakazzaboohu fa'aqaroohaa fadamdama 'alaihim Rabbuhum bizambihim fasaw waahaa

14.But they impugned him and hamstrung her. So their Lord took them unawares by night because of their sin, and levelled it.

 

[30:24.00]

وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبٰهَا۠ ‏‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Wa laa yakhaafu'uqbaahaa

15.And He does not fear its outcome.

 

[30:28.00]

 

 

 

الليل / Al-Layl / The Night

[30:28.01]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[30:31.00]

وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا يَغْشٰىۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Wallaili izaa yaghshaa

1.By the night when it envelops,

 

[30:34.00]

وَالنَّهَارِ اِذَا تَجَلّٰىۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Wannahaari izaa tajalla

2.by the day when it brightens,

 

[30:36.00]

وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالْاُنْثٰٓىۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wa maa khalaqaz zakara wal unthaa

3.by Him who created the male and the female:

 

[30:40.00]

اِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتّٰىؕ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Inna sa'yakum lashattaa

4.your endeavours are indeed diverse.

 

[30:44.00]

فَاَمَّا مَنْ اَعْطٰى وَاتَّقٰىۙ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Fa ammaa man a'taa wattaqaa

5.As for him who gives and is Godwary

 

[30:47.00]

وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنٰىۙ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Wa saddaqa bil husnaa

6.and confirms the best promise,

 

[30:50.00]

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهٗ لِلْيُسْرٰىؕ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Fasanu yassiruhoo lilyusraa

7.We will surely ease him toward facility.

 

[30:53.00]

وَاَمَّا مَنْۢ بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنٰىۙ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Wa ammaa mam bakhila wastaghnaa

8.But as for him, who is stingy and self-complacent,

 

[30:56.00]

وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنٰىۙ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Wa kazzaba bil husnaa

9.and denies the best promise,

 

[30:59.00]

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهٗ لِلْعُسْرٰىؕ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Fasanu yassiruhoo lil'usraa

10.We will surely ease him toward hardship.

 

[31:02.00]

وَمَا يُغْنِىْ عَنْهُ مَالُهٗۤ اِذَا تَرَدّٰىؕ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Wa maa yughnee 'anhu maaluhooo izaa taraddaa

11.His wealth will not avail him when he perishes.

 

[31:10.00]

اِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدٰىؗ ۖ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Inna 'alainaa lal hudaa

12.Indeed guidance rests with Us,

 

[31:13.00]

وَاِنَّ لَنَا لَلْاٰخِرَةَ وَالْاُوْلٰى‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Wa inna lanaa lal Aakhirata wal oolaa

13.and to Us belong the world and the Hereafter.

 

[31:17.00]

فَاَنْذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظّٰى‌ۚ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Fa anzartukum naaran talazzaa

14.So I warn you of a blazing fire,

 

[31:23.00]

لَا يَصْلٰٮهَاۤ اِلَّا الْاَشْقَىۙ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Laa yaslaahaaa illal ashqaa

15.which none shall enter except the most wretched [of persons]

 

[31:25.00]

الَّذِىْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّٰىؕ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Allazee kazzaba wa tawallaa

16.—he who impugns [God’s prophets] and turns his back.

 

[31:29.00]

وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الْاَتْقَىۙ‏﴿17﴾‏

17.Wa sa yujannnabuhal atqaa

17.The Godwary [person] will be spared of that

 

[31:32.00]

الَّذِىْ يُؤْتِىْ مَالَهٗ يَتَزَكّٰى‌ۚ‏﴿18﴾‏

18.Allazee yu'tee maalahoo yatazakkaa

18.—he who gives his wealth to purify himself

 

[31:36.00]

وَمَا لِاَحَدٍ عِنْدَهٗ مِنْ نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزٰٓىۙ‏﴿19﴾‏

19.Wa maa li ahadin 'indahoo min ni'matin tujzaaa

19.and does not expect any reward from anyone,

 

[31:41.00]

اِلَّا ابْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ الْاَعْلٰى‌ۚ‏﴿20﴾‏

20.Illab tighaaa'a wajhi rabbihil a 'laa

20.but seek only the pleasure of their Lord, the Most Exalted,

 

[31:49.00]

وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضٰى۠ ‏‏﴿21﴾‏

21.Wa lasawfa yardaa

21.and, surely, soon they will be well-pleased.

 

[31:51.00]

 

 

 

الضحى / Ad-Duhaa / The Morning Hours

[31:51.01]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[31:54.00]

وَالضُّحٰىۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Wad duhaa

1.By the morning brightness,

 

[31:56.00]

وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا سَجٰىۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Wal laili iza sajaa

2.and by the night when it is calm!

 

[31:58.00]

مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلٰىؕ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Ma wad da'aka rabbuka wa ma qalaa

3.Your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you,

 

[32:02.00]

وَلَلْاٰخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الْاُوْلٰىؕ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Walal-aakhiratu khairul laka minal-oola

4.and the Hereafter shall be better for you than the world.

 

[32:06.00]

وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيْكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضٰىؕ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Wa la sawfa y'uteeka rabbuka fatarda

5.Soon your Lord will give you [that with which] you will be pleased.

 

[32:10.00]

اَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيْمًا فَاٰوٰى۪ ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Alam ya jidka yateeman fa aawaa

6.Did He not find you an orphan, and shelter you?

 

[32:14.00]

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآ لًّا فَهَدٰى۪ ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Wa wa jadaka daal lan fahada

7.Did He not find you astray, and guide you?

 

[32:21.00]

وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًا فَاَغْنٰىؕ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Wa wa jadaka 'aa-ilan fa aghnaa

8.Did He not find you needy, and enrich you?

 

[32:27.00]

فَاَمَّا الْيَتِيْمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْؕ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Fa am mal yateema fala taqhar

9.So, as for the orphan, do not oppress him;

 

[32:31.00]

وَاَمَّا السَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْؕ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Wa am mas saa-ila fala tanhar

10.and as for the beggar, do not chide him;

 

[32:36.00]

وَاَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ۠ ‏‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Wa amma bi ni'mati rabbika fahad dith

11.and as for your Lord’s blessing, proclaim it!

 

[32:41.00]

 

 

 

الشرح / Ash-Sharh / The Relief

[32:41.01]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[32:45.00]

اَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Alam nashrah laka sadrak

1.Did We not open your breast for you

 

[32:48.00]

وَوَضَعْنَا عَنْكَ وِزْرَكَۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Wa wa d'ana 'anka wizrak

2.and relieve you of your burden

 

[32:51.00]

الَّذِىْۤ اَنْقَضَ ظَهْرَكَۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Allazee anqada zahrak

3.which [almost] broke your back?

 

[32:54.00]

وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَؕ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Wa raf 'ana laka zikrak

4.Did We not exalt your name?

 

[32:57.00]

فَاِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا ۙ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Fa inna ma'al usri yusra

5.Indeed ease accompanies hardship.

 

[33:00.00]

اِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا ؕ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Inna ma'al 'usri yusra

6.Indeed ease accompanies hardship.

 

[33:04.00]

فَاِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانْصَبْۙ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Fa iza faragh ta fansab

7.So when you are done, appoint,

 

[33:08.00]

وَاِلٰى رَبِّكَ فَارْغَب۠ ‏‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Wa ilaa rabbika far ghab

8.and supplicate your Lord.

 

[33:11.00]

 

 

 

التين / At-Tin / The Fig

[33:12.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[33:14.00]

وَالتِّيْنِ وَالزَّيْتُوْنِۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Wat teeni waz zaitoon

1.By the fig and the olive,

 

[33:16.00]

وَطُوْرِ سِيْنِيْنَۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Wa toori sineen

2.by Mount Sinai,

 

[33:18.00]

وَهٰذَا الْبَلَدِ الْاَمِيْنِۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wa haazal balad-il ameen

3.and by this secure town:

 

[33:20.00]

لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْاِنْسَانَ فِیْۤ اَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيْمٍؗ ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Laqad khalaqnal insaana fee ahsani taqweem

4.We certainly created man in the best of forms;

 

[33:25.00]

ثُمَّ رَدَدْنٰهُ اَسْفَلَ سَافِلِيْنَۙ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Thumma ra dad naahu asfala saafileen

5.then We relegated him to the lowest of the low,

 

[33:31.00]

اِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ فَلَهُمْ اَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُوْنٍؕ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.illa ٱlladhin 'amanua۟ waeamilua۟ ٱlssalihat falahum 'ajr ghayr mamnun

6.except those who have faith and do righteous deeds. There will be an everlasting reward for them.

 

[33:38.00]

فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِالدِّيْنِ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Fama yu kaz zibuka b'adu bid deen

7.So what makes you deny the Retribution?

 

[33:42.00]

اَلَيْسَ اللّٰهُ بِاَحْكَمِ الْحٰكِمِيْنَ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Alai sal laahu bi-ahkamil haakimeen

8.Is not Allah the fairest of all judges?

 

[33:48.00]

 

 

 

العلق / Al-`Alaq / The Clot

[33:49.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[33:52.00]

اِقْرَاْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِىْ خَلَقَ‌ۚ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Iqra bismi rab bikal lazee khalaq

1.Read in the Name of your Lord who created;

 

[33:55.00]

خَلَقَ الْاِنْسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ‌ۚ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Khalaqal insaana min 'alaq

2.created man from a clinging mass.

 

[33:58.00]

اِقْرَاْ وَرَبُّكَ الْاَكْرَمُۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Iqra wa rab bukal akram

3.Read, and your Lord is the most generous,

 

[34:01.00]

الَّذِىْ عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Al lazee 'allama bil qalam

4.who taught by the pen,

 

[34:04.00]

عَلَّمَ الْاِنْسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْؕ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.'Al lamal insaana ma lam y'alam

5.taught man what he did not know.

 

[34:09.00]

كَلَّاۤ اِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ لَيَطْغٰٓىۙ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Kallaa innal insaana layatghaa

6.Indeed man becomes rebellious

 

[34:12.00]

اَنْ رَّاٰهُ اسْتَغْنٰىؕ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Ar-ra aahus taghnaa

7.when he considers himself without need.

 

[34:16.00]

اِنَّ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ الرُّجْعٰىؕ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Innna ilaa rabbikar ruj'aa

8.Indeed to your Lord is the return.

 

[34:19.00]

اَرَءَيْتَ الَّذِىْ يَنْهٰىؕ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Ara-aital lazee yanhaa

9.Tell me, he who forbids

 

[34:22.00]

عَبْدًا اِذَا صَلّٰىؕ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.'Abdan iza sallaa

10.a servant when he prays,

 

[34:24.00]

اَرَءَيْتَ اِنْ كَانَ عَلَى الْهُدٰٓىۙ‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Ara-aita in kana 'alal hudaa

11.tell me, should he be on [true] guidance,

 

[34:28.00]

اَوْ اَمَرَ بِالتَّقْوٰىۙ‏﴿12﴾‏

12.Au amara bit taqwaa

12.or bid [others] to Godwariness,

 

[34:30.00]

اَرَءَيْتَ اِنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّٰىؕ‏﴿13﴾‏

13.Ara-aita in kaz zaba wa ta walla

13.tell me, should he call him a liar and turn away

 

[34:34.00]

اَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ بِاَنَّ اللّٰهَ يَرٰىؕ‏﴿14﴾‏

14.Alam y'alam bi-an nal lahaa yaraa

14.—does he not know that Allah sees [him]?

 

[34:44.00]

كَلَّا لَئِنْ لَّمْ يَنْتَهِ۬ ۙ لَنَسْفَعًۢا بِالنَّاصِيَةِۙ‏﴿15﴾‏

15.Kalla la illam yantahi la nasfa'am bin nasiyah

15.No indeed! If he does not cease, We shall seize him by the forelock,

 

[34:51.00]

نَاصِيَةٍ كَاذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍ‌ ۚ‏﴿16﴾‏

16.Nasiyatin kazi batin khaatiyah

16.a lying, sinful forelock!

 

[34:55.00]

فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهٗ ۙ‏﴿17﴾‏

17.Fal yad'u naadiyah

17.Then let him call out his gang!

 

[34:57.00]

سَنَدْعُ الزَّبَانِيَةَ ۙ‏﴿18﴾‏

18.Sanad 'uz zabaaniyah

18.We [too] shall call the keepers of hell.

 

[35:00.00]

كَلَّا ؕ لَا تُطِعْهُ وَاسْجُدْ وَاقْتَرِبْ۩۠ ‏‏﴿19﴾‏

19.Kalla; la tuti'hu wasjud waqtarib

19.No indeed! Do not obey him, but prostrate and draw near [to Allah]!

( It is obligatory to prostrate on this Ayah )

[35:04.00]

 

 

 

القدر / Al-Qadr / The Power

[35:04.01]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

bis-millahir-rahmanir-rahim

In the Name of Allah, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate

 

[35:08.00]

اِنَّاۤ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ فِیْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ ۖ ۚ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Innaa anzalnaahu fee lailatil qadr

1.We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the Night of Power:

 

[35:13.00]

وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِؕ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Wa maa adraaka ma lailatul qadr

2.And what will explain to thee what the night of power is?

 

[35:22.00]

لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ۬ ۙ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ اَلْفِ شَهْرٍؕ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Lailatul qadri khairum min alfee shahr

3.The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.

 

[35:37.00]

تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلٰٓئِكَةُ وَالرُّوْحُ فِيْهَا بِاِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ‌ۚ مِّنْ كُلِّ اَمْرٍ ۛۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Tanaz zalul malaa-ikatu war roohu feeha bi izni-rab bihim min kulli amr

4.Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah's permission, on every errand:

 

[35:52.00]

سَلٰمٌ  ۛهِىَ حَتّٰى مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ۠ ‏‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Salaamun hiya hattaa mat la'il fajr

5.Peace This until the rise of morn!

 

[35:54.00]

 

 

 

البينة / Al-Bayyinah / The Clear Proof

[35:54.01]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[35:58.00]

لَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتٰبِ وَالْمُشْرِكِيْنَ مُنْفَكِّيْنَ حَتّٰى تَاْتِيَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ ۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Lam ya kunil lazeena kafaru min ahlil kitaabi wal mushri keena mun fak keena hattaa ta-tiya humul bayyinah

1.The faithless from among the People of the Book and the polytheists were not set apart [from the community of the faithful] until the proof had come to them:

 

[36:08.00]

رَسُوْلٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ يَتْلُوْا صُحُفًا مُّطَهَّرَةً ۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Rasoolum minal laahi yatlu suhufam mutahharah

2.an apostle from Allah reciting impeccable scriptures,

 

[36:14.00]

فِيْهَا كُتُبٌ قَيِّمَةٌ ؕ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Feeha kutubun qaiyimah

3.wherein are upright writings.

 

[36:16.00]

وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَ اِلَّا مِنْۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ ؕ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Wa maa tafarraqal lazeena ootul kitaaba il-la mim b'adi ma jaa-at humul baiyyinah

4.Those who were given the Book did not divide except after the proof had come to them.

 

[36:25.00]

وَمَاۤ اُمِرُوْۤا اِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مُخْلِصِيْنَ لَهُ الدِّيْنَ۬ ۙ حُنَفَآءَ وَيُقِيْمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكٰوةَ‌ وَذٰلِكَ دِيْنُ الْقَيِّمَةِ ؕ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Wa maa umiroo il-la liy'abu dul laaha mukhliseena lahud-deena huna faa-a wa yuqeemus salaahta wa yu-tuz zakaata; wa zaalika deenul qaiyimah

5.Though they were not commanded except to worship Allah, dedicating their faith to Him as men of pure faith, and to maintain the prayer and pay the zakat. That is the upright religion.

 

[36:40.00]

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتٰبِ وَ الْمُشْرِكِيْنَ فِیْ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَا ‌ؕ اُولٰٓئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ الْبَرِيَّةِ ؕ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Innal lazeena kafaru min ahlil kitaabi wal mushri keena fee nari jahan nama khaali deena feeha; ulaa-ika hum shar rul ba reeyah

6.Indeed the faithless from among the People of the Book and the polytheists will be in the fire of hell, to remain in it [forever]. It is they who are the worst of creatures.

 

[36:56.00]

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِۙ اُولٰٓئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ ؕ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Innal lazeena aamanu wa 'amilus saalihaati ula-ika hum khairul bareey yah

7.Indeed those who have faith and do righteous deeds—it is they who are the best of creatures.

 

[37:06.00]

جَزَآؤُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنّٰتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِىْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهٰرُ خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَاۤ اَبَدًا ‌ؕ رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوْا عَنْهُ ‌ؕ ذٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِىَ رَبَّهٗ۠ ‏‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Jazaa-uhum inda rabbihim jan naatu 'adnin tajree min tahtihal an haaru khalideena feeha abada; radiy-yallaahu 'anhum wa ra du 'an zaalika liman khashiya rabbah.

8.Their reward, near their Lord, is the Gardens of Eden, with streams running in them, to remain in them forever. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. That is for those who fear their Lord.

الزلزلة / Az-Zalzalah / The Earthquake

[37:41.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[37:47.00]

اِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْاَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا ۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Izaa zul zilatil ardu zil zaalaha

1.When the earth is rocked with a terrible quake

 

[37:51.00]

وَاَخْرَجَتِ الْاَرْضُ اَثْقَالَهَا ۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Wa akh rajatil ardu athqaalaha

2.and discharges its burdens,

 

[37:54.00]

وَقَالَ الْاِنْسَانُ مَا لَهَا‌ ۚ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wa qaalal insaanu ma laha

3.and man says, ‘What is the matter with her?’

 

[37:58.00]

يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ اَخْبَارَهَا ۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Yawmaa izin tuhad dithu akhbaaraha

4.On that day she will relate her chronicles

 

[38:03.00]

بِاَنَّ رَبَّكَ اَوْحٰى لَهَا ؕ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Bi-anna rabbaka awhaa laha

5.for her Lord will have inspired her.

 

[38:06.00]

يَوْمَئِذٍ يَّصْدُرُ النَّاسُ اَشْتَاتًا۬ ۙ لِّيُرَوْا اَعْمَالَهُمْؕ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Yawma iziy yas durun naasu ash tatal liyuraw a'maalahum

6.On that day, mankind will issue forth in various groups to be shown their deeds.

 

[38:15.00]

فَمَنْ يَّعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَّرَهٗ ؕ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Famaiy ya'mal mithqala zarratin khai raiy-yarah

7.So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it,

 

[38:21.00]

وَمَنْ يَّعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَّرَهٗ۠ ‏‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Wa maiy-y'amal mithqala zarratin sharraiy-yarah

8.and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.

 

[38:30.00]

 

 

 

العاديات / Al-'Adiyat / The Courser

[38:31.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[38:34.00]

وَالْعٰدِيٰتِ ضَبْحًا ۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Wal'aadi yaati dabha

1.By the snorting chargers,

 

[38:37.00]

فَالْمُوْرِيٰتِ قَدْحًا ۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Fal moori yaati qadha

2.by the strikers of sparks [with their hoofs],

 

[38:40.00]

فَالْمُغِيْرٰتِ صُبْحًا ۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Fal mugheeraati subha

3.by the raiders at dawn,

 

[38:42.00]

فَاَثَرْنَ بِهٖ نَقْعًا ۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Fa atharna bihee naq'a

4.raising therein a trail of dust,

 

[38:44.00]

فَوَسَطْنَ بِهٖ جَمْعًا ۙ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Fawa satna bihee jam'a

5.and cleaving therein a host!

 

[38:47.00]

اِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ لِرَبِّهٖ لَكَنُوْدٌ ۚ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Innal-insana lirabbihee lakanood

6.Indeed man is ungrateful to his Lord,

 

[38:52.00]

وَاِنَّهٗ عَلٰى ذٰلِكَ لَشَهِيْدٌ ۚ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Wa innahu 'alaa zaalika la shaheed

7.and indeed he is [himself] witness to that!

 

[38:56.00]

وَاِنَّهٗ لِحُبِّ الْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيْدٌ ؕ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Wa innahu lihubbil khairi la shadeed

8.And indeed he is an avid lover of wealth.

 

[39:01.00]

اَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ اِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِى الْقُبُوْرِۙ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Afala ya'lamu iza b'uthira ma filquboor

9.Does he not know, when what is [buried] in the graves is turned over,

 

[39:08.00]

وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِى الصُّدُوْرِۙ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Wa hussila maa fis sudoor

10.and what is [concealed] in the breasts is divulged,

 

[39:21.00]

اِنَّ رَبَّهُمْ بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّخَبِيْرٌ۠ ‏‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Inna rabbahum bihim yauma 'izil la khabeer

11.on that day their Lord will be well informed about them [and their deeds]?

 

[39:28.00]

 

 

 

القارعة / Al-Qari'ah / The Calamity

[39:29.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[39:32.00]

اَلْقَارِعَةُ ۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Al qaari'ah

1.The Catastrophe!

 

[39:34.00]

مَا الْقَارِعَةُ‌ ۚ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Mal qaariah

2.What is the Catastrophe?

 

[39:36.00]

وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُ ؕ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wa maa adraaka mal qaari'ah

3.What will show you what is the Catastrophe?

 

[39:42.00]

يَوْمَ يَكُوْنُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوْثِۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Yauma ya koonun naasu kal farashil mabthooth

4.[It is] the day when mankind will be like scattered moths

 

[39:50.00]

وَتَكُوْنُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنْفُوْشِؕ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Wa ta koonul jibalu kal 'ihnil manfoosh

5.and the mountains like carded wool.

 

[39:58.00]

فَاَمَّا مَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِيْنُهٗ ۙ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Fa-amma man thaqulat mawa zeenuh

6.As for him, whose deeds weigh heavy in the scales,

 

[40:04.00]

فَهُوَ فِیْ عِيْشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ ؕ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Fahuwa fee 'ishatir raadiyah

7.he will have a pleasing life.

 

[40:06.00]

وَاَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِيْنُهٗ ۙ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Wa amma man khaffat mawa zeenuh

8.But as for him, whose deeds weigh light in the scales,

 

[40:11.00]

فَاُمُّهٗ هَاوِيَةٌ ؕ‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Fa-ummuhu haawiyah

9.his home will be the Abyss.

 

[40:14.00]

وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا هِيَهْ ؕ‏﴿10﴾‏

10.Wa maa adraaka maa hiyah

10.And what will show you what it is?

 

[40:17.00]

نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌ۠ ‏‏﴿11﴾‏

11.Naarun hamiyah

11.It is a scorching fire!

 

[40:20.00]

 

 

 

التكاثر / At-Takathur / The Rivalry in world increase

[40:20.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[40:21.00]

اَلْهٰٮكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Al haaku mut takathur

1.Rivalry [and vainglory] distracted you

 

[40:24.00]

حَتّٰى زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَؕ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Hatta zurtumul-maqaabir

2.until you visited [even] the graves.

 

[40:26.00]

كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Kalla sawfa ta'lamoon

3.No indeed, soon you will know!

 

[40:28.00]

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَؕ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Thumma kalla sawfa ta'lamoon

4.No indeed, soon you will know for yet another time!

 

[40:33.00]

كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ عِلْمَ الْيَقِيْنِؕ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Kalla law ta'lamoona 'ilmal yaqeen

5.Indeed, were you to know with certain knowledge,

 

[40:37.00]

لَتَرَوُنَّ الْجَحِيْمَۙ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Latara-wun nal jaheem

6.you would have surely seen hell [in this very life].

 

[40:40.00]

ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ الْيَقِيْنِۙ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Thumma latara wunnaha 'ainal yaqeen

7.Afterward you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.

 

[40:46.00]

ثُمَّ لَتُسْئَلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيْمِ۠ ‏‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Thumma latus alunna yauma-izin 'anin na'eem

8.Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned concerning the Blessing.

العصر / Al-'Asr / The Declining Day

[40:59.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[41:02.00]

وَالْعَصْرِۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Wal' asr

1.By Time!

 

[41:04.00]

اِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ لَفِیْ خُسْرٍۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Innal insaana lafee khusr

2.Man is indeed in loss,

 

[41:07.00]

اِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ۬ ۙ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ۠ ‏‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Il lal lazeena aamanu wa 'amilus saali haati wa tawa saw bil haqqi wa tawa saw bis sabr

3.except those who have faith and do righteous deeds, and enjoin one another to [follow] the truth, and enjoin one another to patience.

 

[41:15.00]

 

 

 

الهمزة / Al-Humazah / The Traducer

[41:16.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[41:19.00]

وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةِ ۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Wai lul-li kulli hu mazatil-lumaza

1.Woe to every scandal-monger and slanderer,

 

[41:22.00]

۟الَّذِىْ جَمَعَ مَالًا وَّعَدَّدَهٗ ۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Al-lazi jama'a maalaw wa'addadah

2.who amasses wealth and counts it over.

 

[41:26.00]

يَحْسَبُ اَنَّ مَالَهٗۤ اَخْلَدَهٗ‌ ۚ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Yahsabu anna maalahu akhladah

3.He supposes his wealth will make him immortal!

 

[41:30.00]

كَلَّا‌ لَيُنْۢبَذَنَّ فِى الْحُطَمَةِ ؗ ۖ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Kalla layum ba zanna fil hutamah

4.No indeed! He will surely be cast into the Crusher.

 

[41:36.00]

وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ ؕ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Wa maa adraaka mal-hutamah

5.And what will show you what is the Crusher?

 

[41:39.00]

نَارُ اللّٰهِ الْمُوْقَدَةُ ۙ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Narul laahil-mooqada

6.[It is] the fire of Allah, set ablaze,

 

[41:45.00]

الَّتِىْ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْاَفْئِدَةِ ؕ‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Al latee tat tali'u 'alalafidah

7.which will overspread the hearts.

 

[41:49.00]

اِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِمْ مُّؤْصَدَةٌ ۙ‏﴿8﴾‏

8.Innaha 'alaihim moosada

8.Indeed it will close in upon them

 

[41:53.00]

فِیْ عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ۠ ‏‏﴿9﴾‏

9.Fee 'amadim-mu mad dadah

9.in outstretched columns.

 

[41:57.00]

 

 

 

الفيل / Al-Fil / The Elephant

[41:58.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[42:03.00]

اَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِاَصْحٰبِ الْفِيْلِؕ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Alam tara kaifa fa'ala rabbuka bi ashaabil feel

1.Have you not regarded how your Lord dealt with the army of the elephants?

 

[42:07.00]

اَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِیْ تَضْلِيْلٍۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Alam yaj'al kai dahum fee tad leel

2.Did He not make their stratagems go awry,

 

[42:12.00]

وَّاَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا اَبَابِيْلَۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wa arsala 'alaihim tairan abaabeel

3.and send against them flocks of birds

 

[42:17.00]

تَرْمِيْهِمْ بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّنْ سِجِّيْلٍ۪ ۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Tar meehim bi hi jaaratim min sij jeel

4.pelting them with stones of shale,

 

[42:23.00]

فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّاْكُوْلٍ۠ ‏‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Faja 'alahum ka'asfim m'akool

5.thus making them like chewed-up straw?

 

[42:28.00]

 

 

 

قريش / Quraysh / Quraysh

[42:28.10]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[42:32.00]

لِاِيْلٰفِ قُرَيْشٍۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Li-ilaafi quraish

1.[In gratitude] for solidarity among the Quraysh,

 

[42:34.00]

اٖلٰفِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ الشِّتَآءِ وَالصَّيْفِ‌ۚ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Elaafihim rihlatash shitaa-i wass saif

2.their solidarity during winter and summer journeys,

 

[42:40.00]

فَلْيَعْبُدُوْا رَبَّ هٰذَا الْبَيْتِۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Fal y'abudu rabba haazal-bait

3.let them worship the Lord of this House,

 

[42:45.00]

الَّذِىْۤ اَطْعَمَهُمْ مِّنْ جُوْعٍ ۬ ۙ وَّاٰمَنَهُمْ مِّنْ خَوْفٍ۠ ‏‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Allazi at'amahum min ju'inw-wa-aamana hum min khawf

4.who has fed them [and saved them] from hunger, and secured them from fear.

 

[42:59.00]

 

 

 

الماعون / Al-Ma'un / The Small kindnesses

[43:00.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[43:02.00]

اَرَءَيْتَ الَّذِىْ يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّيْنِؕ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Ara-aital lazee yu kazzibu bid deen

1.Did you see him who denies the Retribution?

 

[43:06.00]

فَذٰلِكَ الَّذِىْ يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيْمَۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Fa zaalikal lazi yadu'ul-yateem

2.That is the one, who drives away the orphan,

 

[43:10.00]

وَ لَا يَحُضُّ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِيْنِؕ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wa la ya huddu 'alaa ta'amil miskeen

3.and does not urge the feeding of the needy.

 

[43:14.00]

فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّيْنَۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Fa wai lul-lil mu salleen

4.Woe to those who pray

 

[43:17.00]

الَّذِيْنَ هُمْ عَنْ صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُوْنَۙ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Al lazeena hum 'an salaatihim sahoon

5.but are heedless of their prayers

 

[43:22.00]

الَّذِيْنَ هُمْ يُرَآءُوْنَۙ‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Al lazeena hum yuraa-oon

6.—who show off

 

[43:26.00]

وَيَمْنَعُوْنَ الْمَاعُوْنَ۠ ‏‏﴿7﴾‏

7.Wa yamna'oonal ma'oon

7.but deny aid.

 

[43:30.00]

 

 

 

الكوثر / Al-Kawthar / The Abundance

[43:31.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[43:34.00]

اِنَّاۤ اَعْطَيْنٰكَ الْكَوْثَرَؕ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Innaa a'taina kal kauthar

1.Indeed We have given you abundance.

 

[43:37.00]

فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ ؕ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Fa salli li rabbika wanhar

2.So pray to your Lord, and sacrifice [the sacrificial camel].

 

[43:40.00]

اِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ الْاَبْتَرُ۠ ‏‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Inna shani-aka huwal abtar

3.Indeed it is your enemy who is without posterity.

 

[43:45.00]

 

 

 

الكافرون / Al-Kafirun / The Disbelievers

[43:46.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[43:49.00]

قُلْ يٰۤاَيُّهَا الْكٰفِرُوْنَۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Qul yaa-ai yuhal kaafiroon

1.Say, ‘O faithless ones!

 

[43:52.00]

لَاۤ اَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُوْنَۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Laa a'budu ma t'abudoon

2.I do not worship what you worship,

 

[43:56.00]

وَلَاۤ اَنْتُمْ عٰبِدُوْنَ مَاۤ اَعْبُدُ‌ ۚ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wa laa antum 'aabidoona maa a'bud

3.nor do you worship what I worship;

 

[44:00.00]

وَلَاۤ اَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدْتُّمْۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Wa laa ana 'abidum maa 'abattum

4.nor will I worship what you have worshipped,

 

[44:05.00]

وَ لَاۤ اَنْتُمْ عٰبِدُوْنَ مَاۤ اَعْبُدُ ؕ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Wa laa antum 'aabidoona ma a'bud

5.nor will you worship what I worship.

 

[44:09.00]

لَكُمْ دِيْنُكُمْ وَلِىَ دِيْنِ۠ ‏‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Lakum deenukum wa liya deen.

6.To you your religion, and to me my religion.’

 

[44:12.00]

 

 

 

النصر / An-Nasr / The Divine Support

[44:13.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[44:17.00]

اِذَا جَآءَ نَصْرُ اللّٰهِ وَالْفَتْحُۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Iza jaa-a nas rullahi walfath

1.When Allah’s help comes with victory,

 

[44:23.00]

وَرَاَيْتَ النَّاسَ يَدْخُلُوْنَ فِیْ دِيْنِ اللّٰهِ اَفْوَاجًا ۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Wa ra-aitan naasa yadkhuloona fee deenil laahi afwajah

2.and you see the people entering Allah’s religion in throngs,

 

[44:30.00]

فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَاسْتَغْفِرْهُ‌ ؔؕ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ تَوَّابًا۠ ‏‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Fa sab bih bihamdi rabbika was taghfir, innahu kaana tawwaaba

3.celebrate the praise of your Lord, and plead to Him for forgiveness. Indeed, He is all-clement.

 

[44:43.00]

 

 

 

المسد / Al-Masad / The Palm Fiber

[44:44.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[44:48.00]

تَبَّتْ يَدَاۤ اَبِىْ لَهَبٍ وَّتَبَّؕ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Tab bat yadaa abee Lahabinw-wa tabb

1.Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he!

 

[44:52.00]

مَاۤ اَغْنٰى عَنْهُ مَالُهٗ وَمَا كَسَبَؕ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Maa aghna 'anhu maaluhu wa ma kasab

2.Neither his wealth availed him, nor what he had earned.

 

[45:02.00]

سَيَصْلٰى نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ ۖۚ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Sa yas laa naran zaata lahab

3.Soon he will enter the blazing fire,

 

[45:09.00]

وَّامْرَاَ تُهٗ ؕ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِ‌ۚ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Wam ra-atuh hamma latal-hatab

4.and his wife [too], the firewood carrier,

 

[45:14.00]

فِیْ جِيْدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّنْ مَّسَدٍ۠ ‏‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Fee jeediha hab lum mim-masad

5.with a rope of palm fibre around her neck.

 

[45:19.00]

 

 

 

الإخلاص / Al-Ikhlas / The Sincerity

[45:20.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[45:24.00]

قُلْ هُوَ اللّٰهُ اَحَدٌ‌ ۚ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Qul huwal laahu ahad

1.Say, ‘He is Allah, the One.

 

[45:27.00]

اَللّٰهُ الصَّمَدُ‌ ۚ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Allah hus-samad

2.Allah is the All-embracing.

 

[45:29.00]

لَمْ يَلِدْ۬ ۙ وَلَمْ يُوْلَدْ ۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Lam yalid wa lam yoolad

3.He neither begat, nor was begotten,

 

[45:32.00]

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَّهٗ كُفُوًا اَحَدٌ۠ ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Wa lam yakul-lahu kufuwan ahad

4.nor has He any equal.’

 

[45:35.00]

 

 

 

الفلق / Al-Falaq / The Daybreak

[45:36.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[45:40.00]

قُلْ اَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Qul a'uzoo bi rabbil-falaq

1.Say, ‘I seek the protection of the Lord of the daybreak

 

[45:43.00]

مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَۙ‏ ﴿2﴾‏

2.Min sharri ma khalaq

2.from the evil of what He has created,

 

[45:46.00]

وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ اِذَا وَقَبَۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Wa min sharri ghasiqin iza waqab

3.and from the evil of the dark night when it falls,

 

[45:50.00]

وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفّٰثٰتِ فِى الْعُقَدِۙ‏ ﴿4﴾‏

4.Wa min sharrin-naffaa-thaati fil 'uqad

4.and from the evil of the witches, who blow on knots,

 

[45:55.00]

وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ اِذَا حَسَدَ۠ ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Wa min shar ri haasidin iza hasad

5.and from the evil of the envious one when he envies.’

 

[45:59.00]

 

 

 

الناس / An-Nas / Mankind

[46:00.00]

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

 

[46:03.00]

قُلْ اَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِۙ‏﴿1﴾‏

1.Qul a'uzu birabbin naas

1.Say, ‘I seek the protection of the Lord of humans,

 

[46:07.00]

مَلِكِ النَّاسِۙ‏﴿2﴾‏

2.Malikin naas

2.Sovereign of humans,

 

[46:15.00]

اِلٰهِ النَّاسِۙ‏﴿3﴾‏

3.Ilaahin naas

3.God of humans,

 

[46:22.00]

مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ۬ ۙ الْخَنَّاسِ۪ ۙ‏﴿4﴾‏

4.Min sharril was waasil khannaas

4.from the evil of the sneaky tempter

 

[46:27.00]

الَّذِىْ يُوَسْوِسُ فِیْ صُدُوْرِ النَّاسِۙ‏﴿5﴾‏

5.Al lazee yuwas wisu fee sudoorin naas

5.who puts temptations into the breasts of humans,

 

[46:33.00]

مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ۠ ‏‏﴿6﴾‏

6.Minal jinnati wan naas

6.from among the jinn and humans.’

 

[46:40.00]
