Mu'ammar bin Abi Khallad narrated from Abu al-Hasan (Imam Musa Kazim) (a.s.), who said: I heard them saying: Abu Ja'far (Imam Baqir) (a.s.) saw a person when he was saying:
Bismillaahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem
In the name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful.
Allahumma inni as'aluka min rizqika al-halal.
O Allah, I ask You for halal provision from Your sustenance.
So Abu Ja'far (Imam Baqir) (a.s.) said: 'You have asked for the sustenance of the Prophets (that is, special), (instead) say:
Allahumma inni as'aluka rizqan halalan, wasi'an tayyiban min rizqika.
O Allah, I ask You for halal sustenance, abundant and pure, from Your provision.
