Dua number 2

laa elaaha illal laaho wahdahu laashareeka lahu

There is no god but Allah. He is one – without any partner.

It has been narrated that when the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) would return home from a battle or from the Hajj, (on his way) he would recite the takbeer (ALLAAHO AKBAR) thrice on every elevation on the land and then say:

lahul mulko wa lahul hamdo wa howa a’laa kulle shay-in qadeer

His is the kingdom and for Him is all praise and He has power over all things.

aaa-eboona a’abedoona saajedoona

(We come to Him) returning, worshipping, prostrating

rabbanaa haamedoona sadaqal laaho wa’dahu

and praising our Lord. Allah has made true His promise

wa nasara a’bdahu wa hazamal ahzaaba wahdahu

and helped His servant and vanquished the (enemy) factions.

alhamdo lillaahil lazee kasaanee maa owaaree behi

Praise be to Allah who clothed me with that which I conceal

When he dressed, he started dressing from his right side saying:

a’wratee wa atajammalo behi

my nakedness with and by which I adorn myself amongst the people.
