بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ .

Bismil Laahir Rahmaanir Raheem.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

رَبِّ اَسَاْتُ وَ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِى وَ بِئْسَ مَا صَنَعْتُ

Rabbi asā’tu wa ẓalamtu nafsī wa bi’sa mā ṣanaʿtu.

O Allah! I am a sinner, I have done oppression on my self, and whatever I have done is wrong,

فَهَذِهِ يَدَایَ یَا رَبِِّ جَزَآءَ بِمَا کَسَبْتُ وَ هَاذِهِ

Fa hādhihi yadāya yā Rabbī jazā’an bimā kasabtu wa hādhihi

now both these hands are presented for punishment,

رَقَبَتِى خَاضِعَةً لِِّمَا اَتَيْتُ وَهَا اَنَا ذَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ

Raqabatī khāḍiʿatan limā atayta wa hā anā dhā bayna yadayk.

and the neck is bowed down due to my sins and now I have presented myself in Your presence.

فَخُذْ لِنَنفْسِی مِنْ نَفْسِى الرِِّضَا حَتَّى تَرْضَى لَكَ

Fa khudh linafsī min nafsī ar-riḍā ḥattā tarḍā laka.

So take for me my satisfaction from myself until it is satisfied with you.

الْعُتْبَى لاَ اَعُوْدُ

Al-ʿutbā lā aʿūdu.

so that You love my actions and then I never repeat such deeds again.
