بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

bismillahi alrrahmani alrrahimi

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي اعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ مُلِمَّاتِ نَوَازِلِ ٱلْبَلاَءِ

allahumma inni a`udhu bika min mulimmati nawazili albala'i

O Allah, I pray Your protection against the striking mishaps of tribulation

وَاهْوَالِ عَظَائِمِ ٱلضَّرَّاءِ

wa ahwali `aza'imi alddarra'i

and the horrors of the unbearable adversities.

فَاعِذْنِي رَبِّ مِنْ صَرْعَةِ ٱلْبَاسَاءِ

fa'a`idhni rabbi min sar`ati alba'sa'i

So, O my Lord, protect me against the blows of affliction,

وَٱحْجُبْنِي مِنْ سَطَوَاتِ ٱلْبَلاَءِ

wahjubni min satawati albala'i

veil me from the sways of ordeals,

وَنَجِّنِي مِنْ مُفَاجَاةِ ٱلنِّقَمِ

wa najjini min mufaja'ati alnniqami

save me from the surprising punishments,

وَاجِرْنِي مِنْ زَوَالِ ٱلنِّعَمِ

wa ajirni min zawali alnni`ami

and shelter me against the removal of blessings

وَمِنْ زَلَلِ ٱلْقَدَمِ

wa min zalali alqadami

and the slipping of steps.

وَٱجْعَلْنِي ٱللَّهُمَّ فِي حِيَاطَةِ عِزِّكَ

waj`alni allahumma fi hiyatati `izzika

O Allah, make me inside the fence of Your almightiness

وَحِفَاظِ حِرْزِكَ

wa hifazi hirzika

and the barrier of Your haven

مِنْ مُبَاغَتَةِ ٱلدَّوَائِرِ

min mubaghatati alddawa'iri

against unexpected overtaking of calamities

وَمُعَاجَلَةِ ٱلْبَوَادِرِ

wa mu`ajalati albawadiri

and against the swift sudden misfortunes.

اَللَّهُمَّ رَبِّ وَارْضَ ٱلْبَلاَءِ فَٱخْسِفْهَا

allahumma rabbi wa arda albala'i fakhsifha

O Allah; O my Lord, (please) cause the lands of ordeals to sink down,

وَعَرْصَةَ ٱلْمِحَنِ فَٱرْجُفْهَا

wa `arsata almihani farjufha

cause the yards of crises to quake,

وَشَمْسَ ٱلنَّوَائِبِ فَٱكْسِفْهَا

wa shamsa alnnawa'ibi faksifha

cast a shadow on the sun of misfortunes,

وَجِبَالَ ٱلسُّوءِ فَٱنْسِفْهَا

wa jibala alssu'i fansifha

uproot the mountains of evil,

وَكُرَبَ ٱلدَّهْرِ فَٱكْشِفْهَا

wa kuraba alddahri fakshifha

remove the vicissitudes of times,

وَعَوَائِقَ ٱلامُورِ فَٱصْرِفْهَا

wa `awa'iqa al-umuri fasrifha

and drive back the obstacles in all affairs.

وَاوْرِدْنِي حِيَاضَ ٱلسَّلاَمَةِ

wa awridni hiyada alssalamati

(Please) take me to the ponds of safety,

وَٱحْمِلْنِي عَلَىٰ مَطَايَا ٱلْكَرَامَةِ

wahmilni `ala mataya alkaramati

carry me on the riding animals of honor,

وَٱصْحَبْنِي بِإِقَالَةِ ٱلْعَثْرَةِ

washabni bi'iqalati al`athrati

make Your excuse of my slips to be my companion,

وَٱشْمَلْنِي بِسَتْرِ ٱلْعَوْرَةِ

washmalni bisatri al`awrati

and include me with Your covering of my defects.

وَجُدْ عَلَيَّ يَا رَبِّ بِآلاَئِكَ

wa jud `alayya ya rabbi bi-ala'ika

O my Lord, grant me liberally Your elegances,

وَكَشْفِ بَلاَئِكَ

wa kashfi bala'ika

Your removal of my tribulations,

وَدَفْعِ ضَرَّائِكَ

wa daf`i darra'ika

and Your fending off of my adversities.

وَٱدْفَعْ عَنِّي كَلاَكِلَ عَذَابِكَ

wadfa` `anni kalakila `adhabika

(Please) ward off from me the thoraxes of Your chastisement,

وَٱصْرِفْ عَنِّي الِيمَ عِقَابِكَ

wasrif `anni alima `iqabika

repel from me Your painful punishment,

وَاعِذْنِي مِنْ بَوَائِقِ ٱلدُّهُورِ

wa a`idhni min bawa'iqi aldduhuri

safeguard me from the ups and downs of days,

وَانْقِذْنِي مِنْ سُوءِ عَوَاقِبِ ٱلامُورِ

wa anqidhni min su'i `awaqibi al-umuri

rescue me from the evil end results of affairs,

وَٱحْرُسْنِي مِنْ جَمِيعِ ٱلْمَحْذُورِ

wahrusni min jami`i almahdhuri

guard me against all anticipated matters,

وَٱصْدَعْ صَفَاةَ ٱلْبَلاَءِ عَنْ امْرِي

wasda` safata albala'i `an amri

split the rock of tribulation in my affairs,

وَٱشْلُلْ يَدَهُ عَنِّي مَدىٰ عُمْرِي

washlul yadahu `anni mada `umri

and paralyze its hand lest it reaches me as long as I am alive.

إِنَّكَ ٱلرَّبُّ ٱلْمَجِيدُ

innaka alrrabbu almajidu

Verily, You are the All-glorious lord

ٱلْمُبْدِئُ ٱلْمُعِيدُ

almubdi'u almu`idu

Who originates, reproduces,

ٱلْفَعَّالُ لِمَا تُرِيدُ

alfa``alu lima turidu

and does whatever He wants.
