يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا رَحِيمُ
O God! O Compassionate! O Merciful
يَا عَلِيمُ يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ
O All-Knowing! O the Living! O the Eternal!
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي لَا أَسْأَلُكَ بِعَمَلِي شَيْئاً إِنِّي مِنْ عَمَلِي خَائِفٌ
O my God! I do not ask You for anything due to my deeds since I am fearful of my deeds
إِنَّمَا أَسْأَلُكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ مَا أَسْأَلُكَ
I ask You what I ask due to Your Mercy
فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ
So, please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny
وَ هَبْ لِي مِنْ طَاعَتِكَ مَا يُرْضِيكَ عَنِّي
Please grant me success in doing acts of Your Obedience such as to please You
وَ تَقَبَّلْ صَوْمِي وَ تَفَضَّلْ عَلَيَّ بِرَحْمَتِكَ
accept my fasting and favor me with Your Mercy
وَ ارْحَمْنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
and have mercy on me using Your Mercy, O the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَسْمَائِكَ الْحُسْنَى
O my God! I call upon You and ask You through Your Beautiful Names
وَ بِاسْمِكَ الْعَظِيمِ وَ وَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيمِ وَ مُلْكِكَ الْقَدِيمِ
Your Grand Name, Your Noble Face
وَ رُوحِكَ الْقُدُّوسِ وَ كَلَامِكَ الطَّيِّبِ وَ مُلْكِكَ الدَّائِمِ الْعَظِيمِ
Your Holy Spirit, Your Pure Words, Your Perpetual and Grand Dominion
وَ سُلْطَانِكَ الْمُنِيرِ وَ قُرْآنِكَ الْحَكِيمِ وَ عَطَائِكَ الْجَلِيلِ الْجَزِيلِ
Your Luminous Authority, Your Wise Quran, and Your Most Majestic and Abundant Gifts!
وَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِي إِذَا دُعِيتَ بِهِ أَجَبْتَ وَ إِذَا سُئِلْتَ بِهِ أَعْطَيْتَ
I ask You by Your Name – that which when invoked supplications are fulfilled and by that which when invoked favors are granted
أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
I ask You to bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny
وَ أَنْ تُعْتِقَنِي مِنَ النَّارِ فِي هَذَا الشَّهْرِ الْمُبَارَكِ
I ask You to save me from the Fire in this blessed month
فَإِنِّي فَقِيرٌ مِسْكِينٌ إِلَى رَحْمَتِكَ
since indeed I am poor and in need of Your Mercy
يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
O the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful
