بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

يَارَبَّ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ

ya rabba laylati alqadri

O the Lord of the Grand Night

وَجَاعِلَهَا خَيْرًا مِنْ اَلْفِ شَهْرٍ

wa ja`ilaha khayran min alfi shahrin

And He Who decided it to be better than one thousand months;

وَرَبَّ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ

wa rabba allayli wal-nnahari

And the Lord of night and day

وَالْجِبَالِ وَالْبِحَارِ

wal-jibali wal-bihari

And the Lord of mountains and oceans,

وَالظُّلَمِ وَالْاَنْوَارِ

wal-zzulami wal-anwari

And the Lord of darkness and light,

وَالْاَرْضِ وَالسَّمَاۤءِ،

wal-ardi wal-ssama‘i

And the earth and the heavens.

يَابَارِيُ يَامُصَوِّرُ

ya bari’u ya musawwiru

O the Maker, O the Fashioner,

يَاحَنَّانُ يَامَنَّانُ،

ya hannanu ya mannanu

O the All-tender, O the All-favorer

يَااَللهُ يَارْحَمٰنُ

ya allahu ya rahmanu

O Allah, O the All-beneficent,

يَااَللهُ يَاقَيُّوْمُ

ya allahu ya qayyumu

O Allah, O the Self-Subsisting,

يَااَللهُ يَابَدِيْعُ

ya allahu ya badi`u

O Allah, O the wonderful Originator,

يَااَللهُ يَااَللهُ يَااَللهُ

ya allahu ya allahu ya allahu

O Allah; O Allah; O Allah;

لَكَ الْاَسَّمَاۤءُ الْحُسْنٰى

laka alasma‘u alhusna

To You are the Most Excellent Names,

وَالْاَمْثَالُ الْعُلْيَا

wal-amthalu al`ulia

And the most elevated examples,

وَالْكِبْرِيَاۤءُ وَالْاٰلَاۤءُ

wal-kibrya‘u wal-ala‘u

And greatness and bounties.

اَسْاَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

as’aluka an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

I beseech You to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَ اسْمِيْ فِي هٰذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ فِي السُّعَدَاۤء

wa an taj`ala asmy fi hadhihi allaylati fi alssu`ada‘i

And to include my name with the list of the happiest ones,

وَرُوْحِيْ مَعَ الشُّهَدَاۤءِ

wa ruhy ma`a alshshuhada‘i

And to add my soul to the martyrs,

وَاِحْسَانِيْ فِيْ عِلِّيِّيْنَ

wa ihsany fi `illiyyina

And record my good deeds in the most exalted rank

وَاِسَآئَتِيْ مَغْفُوْرَةً

wa isa‘aty maghfuratan

And to decide my offense to be forgiven,

وَاَنْ تَهَبَ لِيْ يَقِيْنًا تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِيْ

wa an tahaba li yaqinan tubashiru bihi qalbi

And to grant me certitude that fills in my heart

وَاِيْمَانًا يُذْهِبُ الشَّكَّ عَنِّي

wa ‘imanan yudhhibu alshshkk `anni

And faith that removes dubiosity from me

وَتُرْضِيَنِيْ بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِيْ

wa turdiyany bima qasamta li

And to make me feel satisfied with that which You decide for me

وَاٰتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً

wa atina fi alddunya hasanatan

And (please) grant us reward in this world

وَفِي الْاٰخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً

wa fi alakhirati hasanatan

And reward in the Hereafter,

وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الْحَرِيْقِ

wa qina `adhaba alnnari alhariqi

And save us from the torment of the burning Fire,

وَارْزُقْنِيْ فِيْهَا ذِكْرَكَ وَشُكْرَكَ وَالرَّغْبَةَ اِلَيْكَ

warzuqny fiha dhikraka wa shukraka wal-rraghbata ilayka

And (also) confer upon us at this night Your mentioning, thanking You, and desiring for You,

وَالْاِنَابَةَ وَالتَّوْبَةَ وَالتَّوْفِيْقَ لِمَا وَفَّقْتَ لَهُ مُحَمَّدًا وَاٰلَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ

wal-inabata wal-ttawfiqa lima waffaqta lahu muhammadan wa ala muhammadin `alayhi wa `alayhimu alssalamu

And turning to You, and success to that to which You led Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, peace be upon him and them.

It is also recommended to add the following supplication:

يَا مُدَبّرَ الأُمُورِ

ya mudabbira ala’umuri

O the Director of all affairs;

يَا بَاعِثَ مَنْ فِي القُبُورِ

ya ba`itha man fi alquburi

O the Resurrector of all those in graves;

يَا مُجْرِيَ البُحُورِ

ya mujriya albuhuri

O He Who causes oceans to flow;

يَا مُلَيّنَ الحَدِيدِ لِدَاوُدَ

ya mulayyina alhadidi lidawuda

O He Who made the iron pliant for (Prophet) David;

صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin…

(Please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad…

al-laylata al-laylata

This very night; this very night.
