اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيراً
allahu akbaru kabiran
Allah is the Most Great of all.
[00:21.00]
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيراً
walhamdu lillahi kathiran
All praise be to Allah very much.
[00:25.00]
وَسُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلاً
wa subhana allahi bukratan wa asilan
Glory be to Allah in mornings and evenings.
[00:30.00]
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي هَدَانَا لِهٰذَا
walhamdu lillahi alladhi hadana lihadha
All praise be to Allah Who has guided us to this.
[00:35.00]
وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْلاَ أَنْ هَدَانَا ٱللَّهُ
wa ma kunna linahtadiya lawla an hadana allahu
We would not have been guided if Allah had not guided us.
[00:43.00]
لَقَدْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِٱلْحَقِّ
laqad ja'at rusulu rabbina bilhaqqi
The messengers of our Lord have indeed come with the truth.
[00:47.00]
السَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ
as-salamu `ala rasuli allahi salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi
Peace be upon the Messenger of Allah, peace of Allah be upon him and his Household.
[00:55.00]
السَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
as-salamu `ala amiri almu'minina
Peace be upon the Commander of the Faithful.
[01:00.00]
السَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ فَاطِمَةَ ٱلزَّهْرَاءِ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ
as-salamu `ala fatimata alzzahra'i sayyidati nisa'i al`alamina
Peace be upon Fatimah the luminous and the doyenne of all women of the world.
[01:09.00]
السَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحَسَنِ وَٱلْحُسَيْنِ
as-salamu `ala alhasani walhusayni
Peace be upon al-Hasan and al-Husayn.
[01:13.00]
السَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ عَلِيِّ بْنِ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ
as-salamu `ala `aliyyi ibni alhusayni
Peace be upon `Ali the son of al-Husayn.
[01:18.00]
السَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ
as-salamu `ala muhammadi ibni `aliyyin
Peace be upon Muhammad the son of `Ali.
[01:22.00]
السَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ
as-salamu `ala ja`fari ibni muhammadin
Peace be upon Ja`far the son of Muhammad.
[01:27.00]
السَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ
as-salamu `ala musa ibni ja`farin
Peace be upon Musa the son of Ja`far.
[01:31.00]
السَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُوسَىٰ
as-salamu `ala `aliyyi ibni musa
Peace be upon `Ali the son of Musa.
[01:36.00]
السَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ
as-salamu `ala muhammadi ibni `aliyyin
Peace be upon Muhammad the son of `Ali.
[01:40.00]
السَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ
as-salamu `ala `aliyyi ibni muhammadin
Peace be upon `Ali the son of Muhammad.
[01:45.00]
السَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ
as-salamu `ala alhasani ibni `aliyyin
Peace be upon al-Hasan the son of `Ali.
[01:49.00]
السَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْخَلَفِ ٱلصَّالِحِ ٱلْمُنْتَظَرِ
as-salamu `ala alkhalafi alssalihi almuntazari
Peace be upon the virtuous Successor and Awaited.
[01:55.00]
السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salamu `alayka ya aba `abdillahi
Peace be upon you, O Abu-`Abdullah.
[02:00.00]
السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salamu `alayka yabna rasuli allahi
Peace be upon you, O son of Allah’s Messenger.
[02:06.00]
عَبْدُكَ وَٱبْنُ عَبْدِكَ وَٱبْنُ أَمَتِكَ
`abduka wabnu `abdika wabnu amatika
I—the servant of you and the son of your servant and your bondwoman,
[02:12.00]
ٱلْمُوَالِي لِوَلِيِّكَ
almwali liwaliyyika
who is loyal to those who are loyal to you
[02:15.00]
ٱلْمُعَادِي لِعَدُوِّكَ
almu`adi li`aduwika
and enemy of those who are your enemies—
[02:19.00]
ٱسْتَجَارَ بِمَشْهَدِكَ
istajara bimashhadika
am seeking the shelter of your shrine
[02:22.00]
وَتَقَرَّبَ إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ بِقَصْدِكَ
wa taqarrba ila allahi biqasdika
and seeking nearness to Allah through directing to you.
[02:26.00]
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي هَدَانِي لِوِلايَتِكَ
alhamdu lillahi alladhi hadani liwilayatika
All praise be to Allah Who guided me to be loyal to you,
[02:33.00]
وَخَصَّنِي بِزِيَارَتِكَ
wa khassani biziyaratika
Who conferred upon me with my visiting you,
[02:39.00]
وَسَهَّلَ لِي قَصْدَكَ
wa sahhala li qasdaka
and Who made easy for me to direct to you.
[02:41.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ آدَمَ صَفْوَةِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salamu `alayka ya waritha adama safwati allahi
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Adam the chosen by Allah.
You may then enter the shrine, stop next to the side of the Imam’s head, and say the following words:
[02:47.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ نُوحٍ نَبِيِّ ٱللَّهِ
as-salamu `alayka ya waritha nuhin nabiyyi allahi
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Noah the prophet of Allah.
[02:55.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salamu `alayka ya waritha ibrahima khalili allahi
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Abraham the friend of Allah.
[03:02.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُوسَىٰ كَلِيمِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salamu `alayka ya waritha musa kalimi allahi
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Moses the spoken by Allah.
[03:08.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عِيسَىٰ رُوحِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salamu `alayka ya waritha `isa ruhi allahi
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Jesus the spirit of Allah.
[03:14.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُحَمَّدٍ حَبِيبِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salamu `alayka ya waritha muhammadin habibi allahi
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Muhammad the most beloved by Allah.
[03:21.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
as-salamu `alayka ya waritha amiri almu'minina
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of the Commander of the Faithful.
[03:27.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ فَاطِمَةَ ٱلزَّهْرَاءِ
as-salamu `alayka ya waritha fatimata alzzahra'i
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Fatimah the luminous.
[03:35.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيكَ يَا بْنَ محَمَّدٍ ٱلْمُصْطَفَىٰ
as-salamu `alayka yabna mhammadin almustafa
Peace be upon you, O son of Muhammad the well-chosen prophet.
[03:41.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ عَلِيٍّ ٱلْمُرْتَضَىٰ
as-salamu `alayka yabna `aliyyin almurtada
Peace be upon you, O son of `Ali the well-pleased.
[03:46.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيكَ يَا بْنَ فَاطِمَةَ ٱلزَّهْرَاءِ
as-salamu `alayka yabna fatimata alzzahra'i
Peace be upon you, O son of Fatimah the luminous.
[03:52.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ خَدِيـجَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
as-salamu `alayka yabna khadijata alkubra
Peace be upon you, O son of Khadijah the grand lady.
[03:58.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ثَارَ ٱللَّهِ وَٱبْنَ ثَارِهِ
as-salamu `alayka ya thara allahi wabna tharihi
Peace be upon you, O vengeance of Allah and son of His vengeance
[04:04.00]
وَٱلْوِتْرَ ٱلْمَوْتوُرَ
walwitra almawtura
and the unavenged sanctity.
[04:07.00]
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ أَقَمْتَ ٱلصَّلاَةَ
ashhadu annaka qad aqamta alssalata
I bear witness that you performed the prayers,
[04:12.00]
وَآتَيْتَ ٱلزَّكَاةَ
wa atayta alzzakata
defrayed the poor-rates,
[04:15.00]
وَأَمَرْتَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ
wa amarta bilma`rufi
enjoined the right,
[04:18.00]
وَنَهَيْتَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنْكَرِ
wa nahayta `an almunkari
forbade the wrong,
[04:22.00]
وَأَطَعْتَ ٱللَّهَ حَتَّىٰ أَتَاكَ ٱلْيَقِينُ
wa ata`ta allaha hatta ataka alyaqinu
and obeyed Allah until death came upon you.
[04:29.00]
فَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكَ
fala`ana allahu ummatan qatalatka
May Allah curse the people who slew you.
[04:33.00]
وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً ظَلَمَتْكَ
wa la`ana allahu ummatan zalamatka
May Allah curse the people who wronged you.
[04:38.00]
وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً سَمِعَتْ بِذٰلِكَ فَرَضِيَتْ بِهِ
wa la`ana allahu ummatan sami`at bidhalika faradiyat bihi
May Allah curse the people who were informed about that but they approved it.
[04:45.00]
يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ
ya mawlaya ya aba `abdi allahi
O my master! O Abu-`Abdullah!
[04:51.00]
أُشْهِدُ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلاَئِكَتَهُ
ushhidu allaha wa mala'ikatahu
I call Allah, His angels,
[04:54.00]
وَأَنْبِيَائَهُ وَرُسُلَهُ
wa anbiya'ahu wa rusulahu
His Prophets, and His Messengers
[04:58.00]
أَنِّي بِكُمْ مُؤْمِنٌ وَبِإِيَابِكُمْ
anni bikum mu'minun wa bi'iyabikum
to witness that I believe in you and in your Return
[05:03.00]
مُوقِنٌ بِشَرَايِعِ دِينِي وَخَوَاتِيمِ عَمَلِي
muqinun bisharayi`i dini wa khawatimi `amali
and I have faith in the laws of my religion and in the sealing deeds of mine,
[05:10.00]
وَمُنْقَلَبِي إِلَىٰ رَبِّي
wa munqalabi ila rabbi
and in my final return to my Lord.
[05:14.00]
فَصَلَوَاتُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ
fasalawatu allahi `alaykum
Allah’s blessings be upon you all,
[05:18.00]
وَعَلَىٰ أَرْوَاحِكُمْ وَعَلَىٰ أَجْسَادِكُمْ
wa `ala arwahikum wa `ala ajsadikum
upon your souls, upon your bodies,
[05:24.00]
وَعَلَىٰ شَاهِدِكُمْ وَعَلَىٰ غَائِبِكُمْ
wa `ala shahidikum wa `ala gha'ibikum
upon the present and the absent (of your group),
[05:30.00]
وَظَاهِرِكُمْ وَبَاطِنِكُمْ
wa zahirikum wa batinikum
and upon the manifest and the hidden (of your affairs).
[05:34.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ خَاتَمِ ٱلنَّبِيِّينَ
as-salamu `alayka yabna khatami alnnabiyyina
Peace be upon you, O son of the Seal of Prophets,
[05:39.00]
وَٱبْنَ سَيِّدِ ٱلْوَصِيِّينَ
wabna sayyidi alwasiyyina
son of the chief of the Prophets’ successors,
[05:43.00]
وَٱبْنَ إِمَامِ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
wabna imami almuttaqina
son of the leader of the pious,
[05:46.00]
وَٱبْنَ قَائِدِ ٱلْغُرِّ ٱلْمُحَجَّلِينَ إِلَىٰ جَنَّاتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
wabna qa'idi alghurri almuhajjalina ila jannati alnna`imi
and son of the white-forehead, marked believers.
[05:55.00]
وَكَيْفَ لاَ تَكُونُ كَذٰلِكَ
wa kayfa la takunu kadhalika
How can that you be anything other than this
[05:58.00]
وَأَنْتَ بَابُ ٱلْهُدَىٰ
wa anta babu alhuda
while you are the door to the true guidance,
[06:02.00]
وَإِمَامُ ٱلتُّقَىٰ
wa imamu alttuqa
the guide to piety,
[06:04.00]
وَٱلْعُرْوَةُ ٱلْوُثْقَىٰ
wal`urwatu alwuthqa
the firmest handle,
[06:07.00]
وَٱلْحُجَّةُ عَلَىٰ أَهْلِ ٱلدُّنْيَا
walhujjatu `ala ahli alddunya
the argument against the inhabitants of this world,
[06:12.00]
وَخَامِسُ أَصْحَابِ ٱلْكِسَاءِ
wa khamisu ashabi alkisa'i
and the fifth of the People of the Cloak.
[06:16.00]
غَذَّتْكَ يَدُ ٱلرَّحْمَةِ
ghadhdhatka yadu alrrahmati
You were nourished by the hand of mercy,
[06:18.00]
وَرَضَعْتَ مِنْ ثَدْيِ ٱلإِيـمَانِ
wa rada`ta min thadyi al-imani
breast-fed by the bosom of faith,
[06:23.00]
وَرُبِّيتَ فِي حِجْرِ ٱلإِسْلاَمِ
wa rubbita fi hijri al-islami
and brought up in the lap of Islam.
[06:27.00]
فَٱلنَّفْسُ غَيْرُ رَاضِيَةٍ بِفِرَاقِكَ
falnnafsu ghayru radiyatin bifiraqika
So, my soul is definitely displeased by the way you left this world
[06:32.00]
وَلاَ شَاكَّةٍ فِي حَيَاتِكَ
wa la shakkatin fi hayatika
and it has no doubt that you are alive.
[06:37.00]
صَلَوَاتُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكَ
salawatu allahi `alayka
Allah’s blessings be upon you,
[06:40.00]
وَعَلَىٰ آبَائِكَ وَأَبْنَائِكَ
wa `ala aba'ika wa abna'ika
your ascendants, and your descendants.
[06:46.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَرِيعَ ٱلْعَبْرَةِ ٱلسَّاكِبَةِ
as-salamu `alayka ya sari`a al`abrati alssakibati
Peace be upon you, O object of the pouring tears
[06:52.00]
وَقَرِينَ ٱلْمُصِيبَةِ ٱلرَّاتِبَةِ
wa qarina almusibati alrratibati
and match of the astounding misfortune.
[06:57.00]
لَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً ٱسْتَحَلَّتْ مِنْكَ ٱلْمَحَارِمَ
la`ana allahu ummatan istahallat minka almaharima
May Allah curse the people who violated your sanctities
[07:03.00]
وَٱنْتَهَكَتْ فِيكَ حُرمَةَ ٱلإِسْلاَمِ
wantahakat fika hurmata al-islami
and infringed the holiness of Islam.
[07:08.00]
فَقُتِلْتَ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ مَقْهُوراً
faqutilta salla allahu `alayka maqhuran
So, you—may Allah’s blessings be upon you—were killed overwhelmed,
[07:13.00]
وَأَصْبَحَ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ بِكَ مَوْتُوراً
wa asbaha rasulu allahi salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi bika mawturan
the Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Household, became cut off because of loss of you,
[07:23.00]
وَأَصْبَحَ كِتَابُ ٱللَّهِ بِفَقْدِكَ مَهْجُوراً
wa asbaha kitabu allahi bifaqdika mahjuran
and the Book of Allah became deserted due to losing you.
[07:28.50]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ جَدِّكَ وَأَبِيكَ
as-salamu `alayka wa `ala jaddika wa abika
Peace be upon you, your grandfather, your father,
[07:34.00]
وَأُمِّكَ وَأَخِيكَ
wa ummika wa akhika
your mother, your brother,
[07:37.00]
وَعَلَىٰ ٱلْأَئِمَّةِ مِنْ بَنِيكَ
wa `ala al-a'immati min banika
the Imams from your descendants,
[07:41.00]
وَعَلَىٰ ٱلْمُسْتَشْهَدِينَ مَعَكَ
wa `ala almustashhadina ma`aka
those who were martyred with you,
[07:45.00]
وَعَلَىٰ ٱلْمَلاَئِكَةِ ٱلْحَافِّينَ بِقَبْرِكَ
wa `ala almala'ikati alhaffina biqabrika
and the angels who are surrounding your tomb,
[07:50.00]
وَٱلشَّاهِدِينَ لِزُوَّارِكَ
walshshahidina lizuwwarika
witnessing for your visitors,
[07:54.00]
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِٱلْقَبُولِ عَلَىٰ دُعَاءِ شِيعَتِكَ
almu'minina bilqabuli `ala du`a'i shi`atika
and praying for the acceptance of the prayers of your adherents.
[07:59.00]
وَٱلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
was-salamu `alayka wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu
Peace and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.
[08:06.00]
بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي يَا بْنَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ
bi'abi anta wa ummi yabna rasuli allahi
May my father and mother be ransoms for you, O son of Allah’s Messenger.
[08:13.00]
بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ
bi'abi anta wa ummi ya aba `abdi allahi
May my father and mother be ransoms for you, O Abu-`Abdullah.
[08:19.00]
لَقَدْ عَظُمَتِ ٱلرَّزِيَّةُ
laqad `azumat alrraziyyatu
So unbearable is the misfortune
[08:22.00]
وَجَلَّتِ ٱلْمُصِيبَةُ بِكَ
wa jallat almusibatu bika
and so horrendous is the calamity of you
[08:26.00]
عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَىٰ جَمِيعِ أَهْلِ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَٱلأَرْضِ
`alayna wa `ala jami`i ahli alssamawati wal-ardi
for us and for all the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth.
[08:33.00]
فَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً أَسْرَجَتْ وَأَلْجَمَتْ
fala`ana allahu ummatan asrajat wa aljamat
May Allah curse the people who put saddles and reins on their animals
[08:39.00]
وَتَهَيَّأَتْ لِقِتَالِكَ
wa tahayya'at liqitalika
and readied themselves for fighting against you.
[08:43.00]
يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ
ya mawlaya ya aba `abdi allahi
O my master! O Abu-`Abdullah!
[08:49.00]
قَصَدْتُ حَرَمَكَ
qasadtu haramaka
I have directed to your sanctuary
[08:52.00]
وَأَتَيْتُ مَشْهَدَكَ
wa ataytu mashhadaka
and I have come to your shrine
[08:56.00]
أَسْأَلُ ٱللَّهَ بِٱلشَّأْنِ ٱلَّذِي لَكَ عِنْدَهُ
as'alu allaha bilshsha'ni alladhi laka `indahu
asking Almighty Allah in the name of the standing that you enjoy with Him
[09:01.00]
وَبِٱلْمَحَلِّ ٱلَّذِي لَكَ لَدَيْهِ
wa bilmahalli alladhi laka ladayhi
and in the name of the position that you occupy with him
[09:06.00]
أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
an yusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
to send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
[09:13.00]
وَأَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مَعَكُمْ فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ
wa an yaj`alani ma`akum fi alddunya wal-akhirati
and to include me with your group in this world and in the Hereafter,
[09:20.00]
بِمَنِّهِ وَجُودِهِ وَكَرَمِهِ
bimannihi wa judihi wa karamihi
out of His favor, magnanimity, and generosity.
[09:25.00]
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي صَلَّيْتُ وَرَكَعْتُ وَسَجَدْتُ
allahumma inni sallaytu wa raka`tu wa sajadtu
O Allah, I have offered a prayer, genuflected, and prostrated myself
You may then kiss the tomb and offer a two-unit prayer in which you may recite any Surah you wish. Upon accomplishment, you may say the following dua:
[09:25.00]
لَكَ وَحْدَكَ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَكَ
laka wahdaka la sharika laka
for Your sake purely without setting any partner with You,
[09:25.00]
لأَنَّ ٱلصَّلاَةَ وَٱلرُّكُوعَ وَٱلسُّجُودَ
li'anna alssalata walrruku`a walssujuda
since all prayers, genuflections, and prostrations
[09:25.00]
لاَ تَكُونُ إِلاَّ لَكَ
la takunu illa laka
suit none except You.
[09:25.00]
لِأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ ٱللَّهُ لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ
li'annaka anta allahu la ilaha illa anta
Because You are Allah; there in no god save You.
[09:25.00]
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,
[09:25.00]
وَأَبْلِغْهُمْ عَنِّي أَفْضَلَ ٱلتَّحِيَّةِ وَٱلسَّلاَمِ
wa ablighhum `anni afdala alttahiyyati walssalami
convey to them my best greetings and compliments,
[09:25.00]
وَٱرْدُدْ عَلَيَّ مِنْهُمُ ٱلتَّحِيَّةَ وَٱلسَّلاَمَ
wardud `alayya minhum alttahiyyata walssalama
and convey to me their replies to my greetings and compliments.
[09:25.00]
اَللَّهُمَّ وَهَاتَانِ ٱلرَّكْعَتَانِ
allahumma wa hatani alrrak`atani
O Allah, these two units of prayer
[09:25.00]
هَدِيَّةٌ مِنِّي إِلَىٰ مَوْلاَيَ وَسَيِّدِي وَإِمَامِي
hadiyyatun minni ila mawlay wa sayyidi w aimami
are present from me to my master, chief, and leader,
[09:25.00]
ٱلْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَلَيْهِمَا ٱلسَّلاَمُ
alhusayni bni `aliyyin `alayhima as-salamu
al-Husayn the son of `Ali, peace be upon both of them.
[09:25.00]
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
[09:25.00]
وَتَقَبَّلْ ذٰلِكَ مِنِّي وَٱجْزِنِي عَلَىٰ ذٰلِكَ
wa taqabbal dhalika minni wa'jurni `ala dhalika
and accept that from me and reward me for it
[09:25.00]
أَفْضَلَ أَمَلِي وَرَجَائِي فِيكَ وَفِي وَلِيِّكَ
afdala amali wa raja'i fika wa fi waliyyika
in the best rewarding that I anticipate and hope from You and from Your saint.
[09:25.00]
يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ
ya arhama alrrahimina
O most merciful of all those who show mercy!
[09:28.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salamu `alayka yabna rasuli allahi
Peace be upon you, O son of Allah’s Messenger.
Ziyarah of Ali ibn Husayn (peace be upon him)
[09:33.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ نَبِيِّ ٱللَّهِ
as-salamu `alayka yabna nabiyyi allahi
Peace be upon you, O son of Allah’s Prophet.
[09:39.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
as-salamu `alayka yabna amiri almu'minina
Peace be upon you, O son of the Commander of the Faithful.
[09:45.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ ٱلشَّهِيدِ
as-salamu `alayka yabna alhusayni alshshahidi
Peace be upon you, O son of al-Husayn the martyr.
[09:51.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلشَّهِيدُ ٱبْنُ ٱلشَّهِيدِ
as-salamu `alayka ayyuha alshshahidu ibnu alshshahidi
Peace be upon you, O martyr and son of the martyr.
[09:58.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمَظْلُومُ وَٱبْنُ ٱلْمَظْلُومِ
as-salamu `alayka ayyuha almazlumu wabnu almazlumi
Peace be upon you, O persecuted and son of the persecuted.
[10:06.00]
لَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكَ
la`ana allahu ummatan qatalatka
May Allah curse the people who slew you.
[10:11.00]
وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً ظَلَمَتْكَ
wa la`ana allahu ummatan zalamatka
May Allah curse the people who wronged you.
[10:17.00]
وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً سَمِعَتْ بِذٰلِكَ فَرَضَيِتْ بِهِ
wa la`ana allahu ummatan sami`at bidhalika faradayit bihi
May Allah curse the people who were informed of that and they approved it.
[10:26.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلاَيَ
as-salamu `alayka ya mawlaya
Peace be upon you, O my master.
[10:35.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ ٱللَّهِ وَٱبْنَ وَلِيِّهِ
as-salamu `alayka ya waliyya allahi wabna waliyyihi
Peace be upon you, O Allah’s friend and son of His friend.
[10:44.00]
لَقَدْ عَظُمَتِ ٱلْمُصيبَةُ
laqad `azumat almusibatu
Unbearable is the misfortune
[10:48.00]
وَجَلَّتِ ٱلرَّزِيَّةُ بِكَ
wa jallat alrraziyyatu bika
and so horrendous is the calamity of you
[10:52.00]
عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَىٰ جَمِيعِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
`alayna wa `ala jami`i almu'minina
for us and for all faithful believers.
[10:57.00]
فَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكَ
fala`ana allahu ummatan qatalatka
May Allah curse the people who slew you.
[11:02.00]
وَأَبْرَأُ إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ وَإِلَيْكَ مِنْهُمْ فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ
wa abra'u ila allahi wa ilayka minhum fi alddunya wal-akhirati
I release myself in the presence of Allah and you from these people in this world and in the Hereafter.
[11:13.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَوْلِيَاءَ ٱللَّهِ وَأَحِبَّاءَهُ
as-salamu `alaykum ya awliya'a allahi wa ahibba'ahu
Peace be upon you, O Allah’s friends and beloved by him.
Ziyarah of Martyrs
[11:21.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَصْفِيَاءَ ٱللَّهِ وَأَوِدَّاءَهُ
as-salamu `alaykum ya asfiya'a allahi wa awidda'ahu
Peace be upon you, O choices of Allah and His favorites.
[11:28.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَنْصَارَ دِينِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salamu `alaykum ya ansara dini allahi
Peace be upon you, O supporters of Allah’s Religion,
[11:34.00]
وَأَنْصَارَ نَبِيِّهِ
wa ansara nabiyyihi
supporters of His Prophet,
[11:38.00]
وَأَنْصَارَ أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
wa ansara amiri almu'minina
supporters of the Commander of the Faithful,
[11:41.00]
وَأَنْصَارَ فَاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ
wa ansara fatimata sayyidati nisa'i al`alamina
and supporters of Fatimah the doyenne of the women of the world.
[11:48.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَنْصَارَ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ
as-salamu `alaykum ya ansara abi muhammadin
Peace be upon you, O supporters of Abu-Muhammad
[11:55.00]
ٱلْحَسَنِ ٱلْوَلِيِّ ٱلنَّاصِحِ
alhasani alwaliyyi alnnasihi
al-Hasan the sincere saint.
[11:58.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَنْصَارَ أَبِي عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salamu `alaykum ya ansara abi `abdi allahi
Peace be upon you, O supporters of Abu-`Abdullah
[12:05.00]
ٱلْحُسَيْنِ ٱلشَّهِيدِ ٱلْمَظْلُومِ
alhusayni alshshahidi almazlumi
al-Husayn the wronged martyr.
[12:10.00]
صَلَوَاتُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
salawatu allahi `alayhim ajma`ina
Blessings of Allah be upon them all.
[12:15.00]
بِأَبِي أَنْتُمْ وَأُمِّي
bi'abi antum wa ummi
May my father and mother be your ransoms.
[12:20.00]
طِبْتُمْ وَطَابَتِ ٱلأَرْضُ ٱلَّتِي فِيهَا دُفِنْتُمْ
tibtum wa tabat al-ardu allati fiha dufintum
Pure are you, and pure is the soil in which you were buried.
[12:26.00]
وَفُزْتُمْ وَٱللَّهِ فَوْزاً عَظِيماً
wa fuztum wallahi fawzan `aziman
And, by Allah, great is your triumph.
[12:31.00]
يَا لَيْتَنِي كُنْتُ مَعَكُمْ فَأَفُوزَ مَعَكُمْ
ya laytani kuntu ma`akum fa'afuza ma`akum
I wish I were with you so that I would have won with you
[12:38.00]
فِي ٱلْجِنَانِ مَعَ ٱلشُّهَدَاءِ وَٱلصَّالِحينَ
fi aljinani ma`a alshshuhada'i walssalihina
in the gardens of Paradise with the martyrs and the righteous.
[12:43.00]
وَحَسُنَ أُولٰئِكَ رَفِيقاً
wa hasuna ula'ika rafiqan
Excellent is the companionship of these.
[12:47.00]
وَٱلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
was-salamu `alaykum wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu
Peace and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you all.
[12:56.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يا أَبَا ٱلْفَضْلِ
as-salamu `alayka ya aba alfadli
Peace be upon you, O Abu'l-Fadl
Ziyarah of 'Abbas ibn Ali (peace be upon him)
[13:00.00]
ٱلْعَبَّاسَ بْنَ أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
al`abbas abna amiri almu'minina
al-`Abbas son of the Commander of the Faithful.
[13:04.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ سَيِّدِ ٱلْوَصِيِّينَ
as-salamu `alayka yabna sayyidi alwasiyyina
Peace be upon you, O son of the chief of the Prophets’ successors.
[13:10.00]
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ أَوَّلِ ٱلْقَوْمِ إِسْلاَماً
as-salamu `alayka yabna awwali alqawmi islaman
Peace be upon you, O son of the foremost in accepting Islam,
[13:16.00]
وَأَقْدَمِهِمْ إِيـمَاناً
wa aqdamihim imanan
the leading in having faith in it,
[13:19.00]
وَأَقْوَمِهِمْ بِدِينِ ٱللَّهِ
wa aqwamihim bidini allahi
the most perfect in carrying out the laws of Allah’s religion,
[13:23.00]
وَأَحْوَطِهِمْ عَلَىٰ ٱلإِسْلاَمِ
wa ahwatihim `ala al-islami
and the most careful for Islam.
[13:27.00]
أَشْهَدُ لَقَدْ نَصَحْتَ لِلَّهِ وَلِرَسُولِهِ وَلأَخِيكَ
ashhadu laqad nasahta lillahi wa lirasulihi wa li'akhika
I bear witness that you have acted sincerely for the sake of Allah, His Messenger, and your brother.
[13:34.00]
فَنِعْمَ ٱلأَخُ ٱلْمُوَاسِي
fani`ma al-akhu almuwasi
So, how excellent sacrificing brother you are!
[13:37.00]
فَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكَ
fala`ana allahu ummatan qatalatka
May Allah curse the people who slew you.
[13:41.00]
وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً ظَلَمَتْكَ
wa la`ana allahu ummatan zalamatka
May Allah curse the people who wronged you.
[13:46.00]
وَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً ٱسْتَحَلَّتْ مِنْكَ ٱلْمَحَارِمَ
wa la`ana allahu ummatan istahallat minka almaharima
May Allah curse the people who violated your sanctities
[13:52.00]
وَٱنْتَهَكَتْ فِي قَتْلِكَ حُرْمَةَ ٱلإِسْلاَمِ
wantahakat fi qatlika hurmata al-islami
and infringed the holiness of Islam when they killed you.
[13:58.00]
فَنِعْمَ ٱلأَخُ ٱلصَّابِرُ ٱلْمُجَاهِدُ
fani`ma al-akhu alssabiru almujahidu
Most excellent steadfast, striver brother,
[14:01.00]
ٱلْمُحَامِي ٱلنَّاصِرُ
almuhami alnnasiru
defender, supporter,
[14:04.00]
وَٱلأَخُ ٱلدَّافِعُ عَنْ أَخِيهِ
wal-akhu alddafi`u `an akhihi
one who stood up for his brother,
[14:07.00]
ٱلْمُجِيبُ إِلَىٰ طَاعَةِ رَبِّهِ
almujibu ila ta`ati rabbihi
one who responded to the obedience to his Lord,
[14:11.00]
ٱلرَّاغِبُ فِيمَا زَهِدَ فيهِ غَيْرُهُ
alrraghibu fima zahida fihi ghayruhu
and one who desired for what others deemed unworthy;
[14:17.00]
مِنَ ٱلثَّوَابِ ٱلْجَزِيلِ وَٱلثَّنَاءِ ٱلْجَمِيلِ
min alththawabi aljazili walththana'i aljamili
namely, the abundant reward and the excellent praise you are.
[14:23.00]
وَأَلْحَقَكَ ٱللَّهُ بِدَرَجَةِ آبَائِكَ
wa alhaqaka allahu bidarajati aba'ika
May Allah attach you to the rank of your ancestors
[14:29.00]
فِي دَارِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
fi dari alnna`imi
in the Abode of Bliss.
[14:33.00]
اَللَّهُمَّ لَكَ تَعَرَّضْتُ
allahumma laka ta`arradtu
O Allah, I am presenting myself before You
You may then throw yourself on the tomb and say the following words:
[14:38.00]
وَلِزِيَارَةِ أَوْلِيائِكَ قَصَدْتُ
wa liziyarati awliya'ika qasadtu
and I am intending to visit your intimate servants,
[14:43.00]
رَغْبَةً فِي ثَوَابِكَ
raghbatan fi thawabika
for I desire for gaining Your reward
[14:47.00]
وَرَجَاءً لِمَغْفِرَتِكَ
wa raja'an limaghfiratika
and I hope for Your forgiveness
[14:51.00]
وَجَزِيلِ إِحْسَانِكَ
wa jazili ihsanika
and abundant benevolence.
[14:54.00]
فَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
fa'as'aluka an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
So, I beseech You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,
[15:01.00]
وَأَنْ تَجْعَلَ رِزْقِي بِهِمْ دَارّاً
wa an taj`ala rizqi bihim darran
and, (I beseech You) in their names, to make my sustenance unstoppable,
[15:05.00]
وَعَيْشِي بِهِمْ قارّاً
wa `ayshi bihim qarran
my life peaceful,
[15:09.00]
وَزِيَارَتِي بِهِمْ مَقْبُولَةً
wa ziyarati bihim maqbulatan
my pilgrimage admissible,
[15:12.00]
وَحَيَاتِي بِهِمْ طَيِّبَةً
wa hayati bihim tayyibatan
my life serene,
[15:16.00]
وَذَنْبِي بِهِمْ مَغْفُوراً
wa dhanbi bihim maghfuran
and my sins forgiven.
[15:19.00]
وَٱقْلِبْنِي بِهِمْ مُفْلِحاً مُنْجِحاً
waqlibni bihim muflihan munjihan
And (I beseech You to) make me return from them with success and prosperity,
[15:23.00]
مُسْتَجَاباً دُعَائِي
mustajaban du`a'i
having my prayers granted,
[15:26.00]
بِأَفْضَلِ مَا يَنْقَلِبُ بِهِ أَحَدٌ
bi'afdali ma yanqalibu bihi ahadun
with the best things with which any one
[15:30.00]
مِنْ زُوَّارِهِ وَٱلْقَاصِدِينَ إِلَيْهِ
min zuwwarihi walqasidina ilayhi
of his visitors and comers may return;
[15:35.00]
بِرَحْمَتِـكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمينَ
birahmatika ya arhama alrrahimina
in the name of Your mercy, O most merciful of all those who show mercy.
