Yā Fārija l-hammi wa-kāshifa l-ghammi,
O Reliever of anxiety and Remover of sorrow!
Yā Raḥmāna d-dunyā wa-l-ākhirati wa-raḥīmahumā,
O Most Compassionate of this world and the Hereafter, and the Most Merciful of both!
Ṣalli ‘alā Muḥammadin wa-āli Muḥammad,
Bless Muḥammad and the family of Muḥammad,
wa-fruj hammī, wa-kshif ghammī,
and relieve my anxiety, and remove my sorrow!
Yā Wāḥidu, Yā Aḥadu, Yā Ṣamad,
O the One, O the Single, O the Eternal Refuge (a-Ṣamad),
Yā man lam yalid wa-lam yūlad,
O You Who neither begot nor was begotten,
wa-lam yakun lahū kufuwan aḥad,
and there is none comparable to Him (Qur'an 112:3-4),
i‘ṣimnī wa-ṭahhirnī, wa-dh-hab bi-baliyyatī.
Protect me and purify me, and take away my affliction!
Here You Should Recite The Throne Verse Ayatul Kursee (2:255), The Two Suras Of Taking Refuge (113-114), And Unity (112). Then Say:
Allāhu lā ilāha illā Huwa, al-Ḥayyu l-Qayyūm. Lā ta’khudhuhu sinatun wa-lā nawm. Lahū mā fī s-samāwāti wa-mā fī l-arḍ. Man dhā l-ladhī yashfa‘u ‘indahu illā bi-idhnih. Ya‘lamu mā bayna aydīhim wa-mā khalfahum, wa-lā yuḥīṭūna bi-shay’in min ‘ilmihi illā bi-mā shā’. Wasi‘a kursiyyuhu s-samāwāti wa-l-arḍa, wa-lā ya’ūduhū ḥifẓuhumā. Wa-Huwa l-‘Aliyyu l-‘Aẓīm.
God – there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursī (Throne) extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. (Qur'an 2:255)
Qul Huwa l-Lāhu Aḥad. Allāhu ṣ-Ṣamad. Lam yalid wa-lam yūlad. Wa-lam yakun lahū kufuwan aḥad.
Say, "He is God, [Who is] One. God, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is begotten, Nor is there to Him any equivalent." (Qur'an 112:1-4)
Qul a‘ūdhu bi-Rabbi l-falaq. Min sharri mā khalaq. Wa-min sharri ghāsiqin idhā waqab. Wa-min sharri n-naffāthāti fī l-‘uqad. Wa-min sharri ḥāsidin idhā ḥasad.
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, From the evil of that which He created, And from the evil of darkness when it settles, And from the evil of the blowers in knots, And from the evil of an envier when he envies." (Qur'an 113:1-5)
Qul a‘ūdhu bi-Rabbi n-nās. Maliki n-nās. Ilāhi n-nās. Min sharri l-waswāsi l-khannās. Alladhī yuwaswisu fī ṣudūri n-nās. Mina l-jinnati wa-n-nās.
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, The Sovereign of mankind, The God of mankind, From the evil of the retreating whisperer - Who whispers in the breasts of mankind - From among the jinn and mankind." (Qur'an 114:1-6)
Allāhumm innī as’aluka su’āla mani shtaddat fāqatuh,
O God, truly I ask You the asking of one whose destitution has intensified,
wa-ḍa‘ufat quwwatuh, wa-kathurat dhunūbuh,
and whose strength has weakened, and whose sins have multiplied,
su’āla man lā yajidu li-fāqatihī mughīthan,
the asking of one who finds no helper for his destitution,
wa-lā li-ḍa‘fihī muqawwiyā,
and no strengthener for his weakness,
wa-lā li-dhanbihī ghāfiran ghayrak,
and no forgiver for his sin other than You,
Yā Dhā l-Jalāli wa-l-Ikrām.
O Possessor of Majesty and Honor!
As’aluka ‘amalan tuḥibbu bihī man ‘amila bih,
I ask You for a deed with which You love the one who performs it,
wa-yaqīnan tanfa‘u bihī mani stayqana bihī
and a certainty (conviction) with which You benefit the one who is certain by it,
ḥaqqa l-yaqīni fī nafādhi amrik.
the truth of certainty (conviction) in the execution of Your command.
Allāhumm ṣalli ‘alā Muḥammadin wa-āli Muḥammad,
O God, bless Muḥammad and the family of Muḥammad,
wa-qbiḍ ‘alā ṣ-ṣidqi nafsī,
and take my soul upon truthfulness (sincerity),
wa-qṭa‘ mina d-dunyā ḥājatī,
and cut off my need from the world,
wa-j‘al fīmā ‘indak raghbatī,
and place my desire in what is with You,
shawqan ilā liqā’ik,
out of yearning for meeting You,
wa-hab lī ṣidqa t-tawakkuli ‘alayk.
and grant me the sincerity of reliance upon You.
As’aluka min khayri kitābin qad khala wa-a‘ūdhu bik
I ask You from the good of a Book that has passed (or been decreed) and I seek refuge in You
min sharri kitābin qad khala
from the evil of a Book that has passed (or been decreed),
As’aluka khawfa l-‘ābidīna lak,
I ask You for the fear of those who worship You,
wa-‘ibādata l-khāshi‘īna lak,
and the worship of those who are humble before You,
wa-yaqīna l-mutawakkilīna ‘alayk,
and the certainty of those who rely upon You,
wa-tawakkula l-mu’minīna ‘alayk.
and the reliance of the believers upon You.
Allāhumm aj‘al raghbatī fī mas’alatī
O God, make my desire in my petition
mithla raghbati awliyā’ik fī masā’ilihim,
like the desire of Your friends in their petitions,
wa-rahbatī mithla rahbati awliyā’ik,
and my dread like the dread of Your friends,
wa-sta‘milnī fī marḍātika,
and employ me in Your pleasure,
‘amalan lā atruku ma‘ahu shay’an min dīnik
with a deed by which I do not abandon anything of Your religion,
makhāfata aḥadin min khalqik.
out of fear of anyone from Your creation.
Allāhumm hādhihī ḥājatī, fa-a‘ẓim fīhā raghbatī,
O God, this is my need, so magnify my desire in it,
wa-aẓhir fīhā ‘udhrī, wa-laqqinī fīhā ḥujjatī wa-‘āfi fīhā jasadī.
and show forth my excuse in it, and put my argument (or plea) into my mouth in it, and grant well-being to my body in it.
Allāhumm man aṣbaḥa lahū thiqatun aw rajā’un ghayruk,
O God, whoever begins his day having a trust or hope other than You,
fa-qad aṣbaḥtu wa-anta thiqatī
then I have begun my day with You being my trust,
wa-rajā’ī fī l-umūri kullihā,
and my hope in all affairs,
fa-qḍi lī bi-khayrihā ‘āqibah,
so decree for me the best outcome for them,
wa-najjinī min muḍillāti l-fitan,
and save me from the misguiding trials (or temptations),
bi-raḥmatik yā Arḥama r-Rāḥimīn.
by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful ones.
Wa-ṣallā Allāhu ‘alā Sayyidinā Muḥammad Rasūli llāhi l-Muṣṭafā,
And may God bless our Master Muḥammad, the Chosen Messenger of God,
wa-‘alā ālihi ṭ-ṭāhirīn.
and upon his pure family.
