بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Raheem

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلہِ عَلٰی حِلْمِہٖ وَ اَنَاتِہٖ

Alhamdu lillahi ala hilmihi wa anaatihi

Praise is for Allah for His tolerance and His giving respite

وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلہِ عَلٰی عِلْمِیْ بِاَنَّ ذَنْبِیْ

Walhamdu lillahi ala ilmi bi anna dhanbi

Praise is for Allah and I am certain that my sins

وَ اِنْ کَبُرَ - صَغِیْرٌ فِیْ جَنْبِ عَفْوِہٖ

Wa in kabura - sagheerun fi janbi afwihi

- and even if they are great - are insignificant in front of His forgiveness

وَ جُرْمِیْ - وَ اِنْ عَظُمَ - حَقِیْرٌ عِنْدَ رَحْمَتِہٖ

Wa jurmi - wa in azuma - haqeerun inda rahmatihi

And my crime - even if it is great - is insignificant in front of His mercy

وَ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الَّذِیْ رَفَعَ السَّمٰوٰتِ بِغَیْرِ عَمَدٍ

Wa subhanallahi alladhi rafa'a as-samawat bi ghayri amad

And glorification is for Allah who has raised the skies without any pillars

وَ اَنْشَاَ جَنَّاتِ الْمَاْوٰی بِلَا اَمَدٍ

Wa ansha'a jannat al-mawa bila amad

And created heavens without any passage of time

وَ خَلَقَ الْخَلَائِقِ بِلَا ظَہْرٍ وَ سَنَدٍ

Wa khalaq al-khala'iq bila zahr wa sanad

And created the creatures without any support

وَ لَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللهُ الْمُنْذِرُ مَنْ عَنَدَ عَنْ طَاعَتِہٖ

Wa la ilaha illa Allah al-mundhir man anada an ta'atihi

And there is no Lord except Allah who warns those who disobey Him

وَ عَتٰی عَنْ اَمْرِہٖ، وَ الْمُحَذِّرُ مَنْ لَجَّ فِیْ مَعْصِیَتِہٖ

Wa ata an amrihi, wal-muhadhir man lajj fi ma'siyatihi

And exceed the limits, and scares those who persist in disobedience

وَ اسْتَکْبَرَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِہِ، الْمُعْذِرُ اِلٰی مَنْ تَمَادٰی فِیْ غَیِّہٖ

Wa istakbara an ibadatihi, al-mu'adhir ila man tamada fi ghayyi

And are arrogant in worship, and He accepts the excuses of those who stray in their ignorance

وَ ضَلَالَتِہٖ لِتَثْبِیْتِ حُجَّتِہٖ عَلَیْہِ

Wa dalalatihi litathbit hujjatihi alayh

And deviation to establish His proof against them

وَ عِلْمِہٖ بِسُوْءِ عَاقِبَتِہٖ، وَ اللهُ اَکْبَرُ

Wa ilmihi bisu'i aqibatihi, wa Allahu Akbar

And His knowledge of their evil consequences, and Allah is Great

الْجَوَادُ الْکَرِیْمُ الَّذِیْ لَیْسَ لِقَدِیْمِ اِحْسَانِہٖ اِمْتِنَانِہٖ

Al-jawad al-karim alladhi laysa liqadim ihsanihi imtinanihi

The Generous and Merciful whose unlimited favours have no end

عَلٰی جَمِیْعِ خَلْقِہٖ نِہَایَۃٌ، وَ لَا لِقُدْرَتِہٖ وَ سُلْطَانِهٖ

Ala jami' khalqihi nihayah, wa la liqudratihi wa sultanihi

Upon all His creation, nor is there any boundary for His power and authority

عَلٰی بَرِیَّتِہٖ غَایَۃٌ، اَللّٰہُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلٰی اَہْلِ بَیْتِہٖ

Ala bariyyatihi ghayah, Allahumma salli ala Muhammad wa ala ahli baytihi

Upon His creatures, O Allah, bestow blessings on Muhammad and his family

وَ بَارِکْ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلٰی اَہْلِ بَیْتِہٖ، کَاَفْضَلِ مَا صَلَّیْتَ

Wa barik ala Muhammad wa ala ahli baytihi, ka-afdal ma sallayta

And bless Muhammad and his family, as You have blessed

وَ بَارَكْتَ عَلٰی اِبْرَاہِیْمَ وَ اٰلِ اِبْرَاہِیْمَ اِنَّکَ حَمِیْدٌ مَجِیْدٌ

Wa barakta ala Ibrahim wa ala ali Ibrahim innaka Hamidun Majid

Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim, indeed You are Praiseworthy, Glorious

اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُکَ سُؤَالَ مُذْنِبٍ اَوْ بَقَتْہُ مَعَاصِیْہِ فِیْ ضِیْقِ الْمَسَالِکِ

Allahumma inni as'aluka su'ala mudhnib aw baqat-hu ma'asi fi diq al-masalik

O Allah, I call upon You like a sinner whose sins have destroyed him by narrowing his path

وَ لَیْسَ لَہٗ مُجِیْرٌ سِوَاکَ، وَ لَا اَمَلٌ غَیْرُکَ

Wa laysa lahu mujeer siwak, wa la amal ghayruk

And there is no hope and respite except You

وَ لَا مُغِیْثٌ اَرْاَفُ بِہٖ مِنْکَ، وَ لَا مُعْتَمِدٌ یَعْتَمِدُ عَلَیْہِ غَیْرُکَ

Wa la mugheeth ar'af bihi mink, wa la mu'tamid ya'tamid alayh ghayruk

Nor anyone more merciful than You to listen to his complaints, nor a support better than You

اَنْتَ مَوْلَایَ الَّذِیْ جُدْتَ بِالنِّعَمِ قَبْلَ اسْتِحْقَاقِہَا

Anta mawlaya alladhi judta bin-ni'am qabl istihqaqiha

You send the bounties even before the commencement of merit

وَ اَہَّلْتَہَا بِتَطَوُّلِکَ غَیْرَ مُؤَہِّلِیْہَا

Wa ahhaltaha bi-tatawwulika ghayr mu'ahhiliha

And have bestowed favours on those who were not entitled for it

وَ لَمْ یَعُزُّکَ مَنْعٌ، وَ لَا اَکْدَاکَ اِعْطَاءٌ

Wa lam ya'uzzuka man', wa la akdaka i'ta'

Neither miserliness makes You rich or strong nor the question of those who beseech You decreases Your Munificence

وَ لَا اَنْفَدَ سَعَتَکَ سُؤَالُ مُلِحٍّ

Wa la anfa sa'atak su'al mulih

You have taken the responsibility of sustaining the creatures

بَلْ اَرَدْتَ اَرْزَاقَ عِبَادِکَ تَطَوُّلًا مِنْکَ عَلَیْہِمْ

Bal aradta arzaq ibadik tatawwulan mink alayhim

So that You can bestow Your Grace and Mercy upon them

وَ تَفَضُّلًا مِنْکَ لَدَیْہِمْ

Wa tafaddulan mink ladayhim

O Allah! Prayers fall short in praising You

اَللّٰہُمَّ کَلَّتِ الْعِبَارَۃُ عَنْ بُلُوْغِ مِدْحَتِکَ

Allahumma kallat al-ibara an bulugh midhatik

And tongues become dumb while enumerating Your favours

وَ ہَفَتِ الْاَلْسُنُ عَنْ نَشْرِ مَحَامِدِکَ وَ تَفَضُّلِکَ

Wa hafat al-alsun an nashr mahamidik wa tafaddulik

O Lord! I have come in Your presence with a firm determination

وَ قَدْ تَعَمَّدْتُکَ بِقَصْدِیْ اِلَیْکَ وَ اِنْ اَحَاطَتْ بِیَ الذُّنُوْبُ

Wa qad ta'ammad-tuka bi-qasdi ilayk wa in ahatat biya adh-dhunub

Although my sins have engulfed me but You are the most Benevolent

وَ اَنْتَ اَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِیْنَ، وَ اَکْرَمُ الْاَکْرَمِیْنَ

Wa anta arham ar-rahimin, wa akram al-akramin

The most Honoured, the most Generous among all

وَ اَجْوَدُ الْاَجْوَدِیْنَ، وَ اَنْعَمُ الرَّازِقِیْنَ

Wa ajwad al-ajwadin, wa an'am ar-raziqin

The best sustainer, the greatest Creator

وَ اَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِیْنَ، الْاَوَّلُ، الْاٰخِرُ

Wa ahsan al-khaliqin, al-awwal, al-akhir

The First, the Last

الظَّاہِرُ، الْبَاطِنُ، اَجَلُّ، وَ اَعَزُّ

Az-zahir, al-batin, ajal, wa a'azz

The Apparent, the Concealed, the Most Honourable

وَ اَرْاَفُ وَ اَکْرَمُ مِنْ اَنْ تَرُدَّ مَنْ اَمَّلَکَ وَ رَجَاکَ

Wa ar'af wa akram min an tarudd man ammalak wa rajak

You are too great to refuse those whose hopes are pinned on You

وَ طَمِعَ فِیْمَا عِنْدَکَ

Wa tama'a fima indak

O the One Who deserves the praise, all the praise is for You

فَلَکَ الْحَمْدُ یَا اَہْلَ الْحَمْدِ

Falaka al-hamd ya ahl al-hamd

O my Lord, if I have been negligent in being attentive to my soul

اِلٰہِیْ اِنِّیْ جُرْتُ عَلٰی نَفْسِیْ فِی النَّظَرِ لَہَا

Ilahi inni jurtu ala nafsi fi an-nazar laha

And have spent the days of my life in disobedience

وَ سَالَمْتُ الْاَیَّامَ بِاقْتِرَافِ الْاٰثَامِ

Wa salamt al-ayyam bi-iqtraf al-atham

Still You are the Lord of Bestowals, Possessor of Majesty, and Grandeur

وَ اَنْتَ وَلِیُّ الْاَنْعَامِ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَ الْاِکْرَامِ

Wa anta wali al-an'am dhu al-jalal wa al-ikram

Still Your attention remains on this soul

فَمَا بَقِیَ اِلَّا نَظَرُکَ لَہَا فَاجْعَلْ مَرَدَّہَا مِنْکَ بِالنَّجَاحِ

Fama baqiya illa nazaruka laha faj'al mardaha mink bin-najah

Now make this soul successful in Your Presence

وَ اَجْمِلِ النَّظَرَ مِنْکَ لَہَا بِالْفَلَاحِ

Wa ajmil an-nazar mink laha bil-falah

Because You are the only Bestower, the Benefactor

فَاَنْتَ الْمُعْطِیْ النَّفَّاحُ ذُو الْاٰلَاءِ وَ النِّعَمِ وَ السَّمَاحِ

Fa anta al-mu'ti an-naffah dhu al-ala'i wa an-ni'am wa as-samah

Possessor of Generosity, O the One to illuminate the dawn

یَا فَالِقَ الْاِصْبَاحِ، امْنَحْہَا سُؤْلَہَا وَ اِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَحِقَّ یَا غَفَّارُ

Ya faliq al-isbah, amnah su'laha wa in lam tastahiq ya ghaffar

Grant the favours of this heart although it does not deserve

اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُکَ بِاسْمِکَ الَّذِیْ تُمْضِیْ بِہِ الْمَقَادِیْرَ

Allahumma inni as'aluka bismik alladhi tumdi bihi al-maqadir

O the excessive forgiver, O Allah I beseech You by those names which moulds the destiny

وَ بِعِزَّتِکَ الَّتِیْ تَتِمُّ بِہِ التَّدَابِیْرَ

Wa bi-izzatik allati tatimmu bihi at-tadabir

By Your Honour which complete the actions

اَنْ تُصَلِّیَ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

An tusalli ala Muhammad wa ali Muhammad

Bless Muhammad and his progeny

وَ تَرْزُقَنِیْ رِزْقًا وَاسِعًا حَلَالًا طَیِّبًا مِنْ فَضْلِکَ

Wa tarzuqani rizqan wasi'an halalan tayyiban min fadlik

And grant me pure and vast sustenance from Your bounty

وَ اَنْ لَا تَحُوْلَ بَیْنِیْ وَ بَیْنَ مَا یُقَرِّبُنِیْ مِنْکَ

Wa an la tahool bayni wa bayna ma yuqarribuni mink

And do not let any barrier come between me and what brings me closer to You

یَا حَنَّانُ یَا مَنَّانُ

Ya Hannan Ya Mannan

O the Most Compassionate, O the Most Beneficent

اَللّٰہُمَّ وَ اَدْرِجْنِیْ فِیْمَنْ اَبَحْتَ لَہُمْ مِنْ غُفْرَانِکَ

Allahumma wa adrijni fiman abahta lahum min ghufranik

O Allah, include me among those whom You have granted Your forgiveness

وَ عَفْوَکَ وَ رِضَاکَ وَ اَسْکَنْتَہٗ جِنَانَکَ

Wa afwak wa ridhak wa askantahu jinanak

And Your pardon and pleasure, and have settled them in Your gardens

بِرَأْفَتِکَ وَ طَوْلِکَ وَ اِمْتِنَانِكَ

Bi-ra'fatika wa tawlik wa imtinanika

By Your kindness, generosity, and grace

يَا اِلٰہِیْ اَنْتَ اَکْرَمْتَ اَوْلِیَائَکَ بِکَرَامَاتِکَ

Ya Ilahi anta akramta awliya'aka bi-karamatika

O my Lord, You have honored Your friends with Your signs (miracles)

فَاَوْجَبْتَ لَہُمْ حِیَاطَتَکَ

Fa-awjabta lahum hiyatatak

And have made Your protection necessary for them

وَ اَظْلَلْتَہُمْ بِرِعَایَتِکَ مِنَ التَّتَابُعِ فِیْ الْمَہَالِکِ

Wa azlaltahum bi-ri'ayatik min at-tatabu' fi al-mahalik

And have put them under Your care to save them from destruction

وَ اَنَا عَبْدُکَ، فَانْقِذْنِیْ وَ الْبِسْنِیْ الْعَافِیَۃَ

Wa ana abduk, fa-anqidhni wa albisni al-afiyah

I am also Your servant, so grant me salvation and protection

وَ اِلٰی طَاعَتِکَ فَمِلْ بِيْ، وَ عَنْ طُغْیَانِکَ وَ مَعْصِیَتِکَ فَرُدَّنِیْ

Wa ila ta'atik fa-mil bi, wa an tughyanik wa ma'siyatak faruddni

And make me attentive towards Your obedience, and turn me away from disobedience

فَقَدْ عَجَّتْ اِلَیْکَ الْاَصْوَاتُ بِضُرُوْبِ اللُّغَاتِ

Faqad ajjat ilayk al-aswat bi-dhurub al-lughat

Voices have been raised to You in various languages

یَسْئَلُوْنَکَ الْحَاجَاتِ تُرْتَجٰی لِمَحْقِ الْعُیُوْبِ

Yas'aloonak al-hajat turta-ja limahq al-uyub

Asking You for their needs, hoping for the erasure of their defects

وَ غُفْرَانِ الذُّنُوْبِ يَا عَلَّامَ الْغُيُوْبِ

Wa ghufran adh-dhunub ya Allam al-ghuyub

And forgiveness of sins, O Knower of all unseen

اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْتَہْدِیْکَ فَاہْدِنِیْ

Allahumma inni astahdika fahdini

O Allah, I seek guidance from You, so guide me

وَ اَعْتَصِمُ بِکَ فَاعْصِمْنِیْ

Wa a'tasim bika fa'asimni

And I seek protection from You, so protect me

وَ اَدِّ عَنِّیْ حُقُوْقَکَ عَلَیَّ

Wa addi anni huquqak alayya

And fulfill Your rights upon me

اِنَّکَ اَہْلُ التَّقْوٰی وَ اَہْلُ الْمَغْفِرَۃِ

Innaka ahlu at-taqwa wa ahlu al-maghfirah

Surely You are worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive

وَ اصْرِفْ عَنِّیْ شَرَّ کُلِّ ذِیْ شَرٍّ اِلٰی خَیْرٍ مَا لَا یَمْلِکُہٗ اَحَدٌ سِوَاکَ

Wa asrif anni sharr kulli dhi sharr ila khayr ma la yamlikuhu ahad siwak

And repel from me the evil of every evil person to the good that nobody except You owns

وَ احْتَمِلْ عَنِّیْ مُفْتَرَضَاتِ حُقُوْقِ الْاٰبَاءِ وَ الْاُمَّہَاتِ

Wa ahtamil anni muftaradat huquq al-aba' wa al-ummahat

And help me to bear the obligatory rights of the fathers and the mothers

وَ اغْفِرْ لِیْ وَ لَہُمَا وَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ

Wa aghfir li wa lahuma wa lil-mu'minin wa al-mu'minat

And forgive me and both of them and the believing men and the believing women

وَ الْاِخْوَۃِ وَ الْاَخَوَاتِ وَ الْقَرَابَاتِ

Wa al-ikhwa wa al-akhawat wa al-qarabat

And the brothers and the sisters and the near ones

یَا وَلِیَّ الْبَرَکَاتِ وَ عَالِمُ الْخَفِیَّاتِ

Ya wali al-barakat wa alim al-khafiyat

O the Owner of the blessings and Knower of the concealed
