لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ مُدَبِّرُ الْأُمُورِ

“There is no god but God – Director of all affairs!

وَ مُصَرِّفُ الدُّهُورِ وَ خَالِقُ الْأَشْيَاءِ جَمِيعِهَا بِحِكْمَتِهِ دَالَّةً عَلَى أَزَلِيَّتِهِ وَ قِدَمِهِ

He who brings the various periods! He who creates all things by His Wisdom to indicate His having been from ever before and His being Eternal.

جَاعِلُ الْحُقُوقِ الْوَاجِبَةِ لِمَا يَشَاءُ رَأْفَةً مِنْهُ وَ رَحْمَةً يَسْأَلُهَا سَائِلٌ وَ يَأْمُلُ [لِيَسْأَلَ بِهَا سَائِلٌ وَ يَأْمُلَ‌] إِجَابَةَ دُعَائِهِ بِهَا آمِلٌ

He establishes certain incumbent rights for whoever He pleases out of His Kindness and Mercy so that those who ask may use them to ask and hope for the fulfillment of their supplications.

فَسُبْحَانَ مَنْ خَلَقَ [وَ]

Glory be to Him who created.

الْأَسْبَابُ إِلَيْهِ كَثِيرَةٌ وَ الْوَسَائِلُ إِلَيْهِ مَوْجُودَةٌ

There are many means to Him, and tools exist towards Him.

وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا تَعْتَوِرُهُ فَاقَةٌ

Glory be to Him whom privation shall not destroy and need shall not debase!

وَ لَا تَسْتَذِلُّهُ حَاجَةٌ وَ لَا تُطِيفُ بِهِ ضَرُورَةٌ وَ لَا يَحْذَرُ إِبْطَاءَ رِزْقِ رَازِقٍ وَ لَا سَخْطَةَ [سَخَطَ] خَالِقٍ

He is not surrounded by any needs, and does not fear that the Provider may cut off His sustenance. He does not fear the Wrath of the Creator.

فَإِنَّهُ الْقَدِيرُ عَلَى رَحْمَةِ مَنْ هُوَ بِهَذِهِ الْخِلَالِ مَقْهُورٌ وَ فِي مَضَائِقِهَا مَحْصُورٌ يَخَافُ وَ يَرْجُو مَنْ بِيَدِهِ الْأُمُورُ وَ إِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ وَ هُوَ عَلَى مَا يَشَاءُ قَدِيرٌ

He has Mercy on those who are subject to these traits and are restricted and fear Him who controls all the affairs and to Him is all our return. He has Power over all that He Wills!

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَ رَسُولِكَ وَ نَبِيِّكَ مُؤَدِّي الرِّسَالَةِ وَ مُوضِحِ الدَّلَالَةِ

O‟ my God! Please bestow Your Blessings on Your Servant, Messenger and Prophet Muhammad and his Progeny (as) – who delivered Your Message, clarified Your Reasons.

أَوْصَلَ كِتَابَكَ وَ اسْتَحَقَّ ثَوَابَكَ وَ أَنْهَجَ سَبِيلَ حَلَالِكَ وَ حَرَامِكَ وَ كَشَفَ عَنْ شَعَائِرِكَ وَ أَعْلَامِكَ

He delivered Your Book and deserves to receive Your Reward. He clearly showed the way of what You made lawful and what You forbade, and uncovered Your Slogans and Signs.

فَإِنَّ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةَ الَّتِي وَسَمْتَهَا بِالْقَدْرِ وَ أَنْزَلْتَ فِيهَا مُحْكَمَ الذِّكْرِ وَ فَضَّلْتَهَا عَلَى أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ

Indeed this is the night which You called the Night of Destiny, and on which You sent down Your Solid Book, and made it nobler than a thousand months.

وَ هِيَ لَيْلَةُ مَوَاهِبِ الْمَقْبُولِينَ وَ مَصَائِبِ الْمَرْدُودِينَ فَيَا خُسْرَانَ مَنْ بَاءَ فِيهَا بِسَخَطِهِ وَ يَا وَيْحَ مَنْ حُظِيَ فِيهَا بِرَحْمَتِهِ

It is the night of gifts for the accepted and calamities for the rejected. Woe be upon those who return with Your Wrath and blessed be those who enjoy Your Mercy on that night.

اللَّهُمَّ فَارْزُقْنِي قِيَامَهَا وَ النَّظَرَ إِلَى مَا عَظَّمْتَ مِنْهَا مِنْ غَيْرِ حُضُورِ أَجَلٍ وَ لَا قُرْبِهِ وَ لَا انْقِطَاعِ أَمَلٍ وَ لَا فَوْتِهِ

O‟ God! Please bless me with waking up at nights during it, and considering what You exalted on it without my death or its approach without losing hope or missing that night.

وَ وَفِّقْنِي فِيهَا لِعَمَلٍ تَرْفَعُهُ وَ دُعَاءٍ تَسْمَعُهُ وَ تَضَرُّعٍ تَرْحَمُهُ وَ شَرٍّ تَصْرِفُهُ وَ خَيْرٍ تَهَبُهُ وَ غُفْرَانٍ تُوجِبُهُ وَ رِزْقٍ تُوَسِّعُهُ وَ دَنَسٍ تُطَهِّرُهُ وَ إِثْمٍ تَغْسِلُهُ وَ دَيْنٍ تَقْضِيهِ وَ حَقٍّ تَتَحَمَّلُهُ وَ تُؤَدِّيهُ وَ صِحَّةٍ تُتِمُّهَا وَ عَافِيَةٍ تُنْمِيهَا وَ أَشْعَاثٍ تَلُمُّهَا وَ أَمْرَاضٍ تَكْشِفُهَا [تَشْفِيهَا] وَ صَنْعَةٍ تَكْنِفُهَا وَ مَوَاهِبَ تَكْثِفُهَا وَ مَصَائِبَ تَصْرِفُهَا وَ أَوْلَادٍ وَ أَهْلٍ تُصْلِحُهُمْ

Grant me success in doing deeds that would be raised up, heard supplications, mercied crying, removed evil, bestowed good, sure forgiveness, extended sustenance, purified offenses,cleansed sins, payed off debts, rights honored, perfected health, continued well-being, alleviated worries, remedied ailments, supported good deeds, disclosed good acts, removed calamities, behaved children and a good wife.

وَ أَعْدَاءٍتَغْلِبُهُمْ وَ تَقْهَرُهُمْ وَ تَكْفِي مَا أَهَمَّ مِنْ أَمْرِهِمْ وَ تَقْدِرُ عَلَى قُدْرَتِهِمْ وَ تَسْطُو بِسَطَوَاتِهِمْ وَ تَصُولُ عَلَى صَوْلَاتِهِمْ وَ تَغُلُّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ إِلَى صُدُورِهِمْ وَ تُخْرِسُ عَنْ مَكَارِهِي أَلْسِنَتَهُمْ وَ تَرُدُّ رُءُوسَهُمْ عَلَى صُدُورِهِمْ

Please defeat and overcome enemies, take care of their sorrowful acts, overcome their power, attack them back, defeat them, tie their hands to their chests, dumb their tongues from what disturbs me, and force them to bend their heads down towards their chests.

اللَّهُمَّ سَيِّدِي وَ مَوْلَايَ اكْفِنِي الْبَغْيَ وَ مُصَارَعَةَ الْغَدْرِ وَ مَعَاطِبَهُ وَ اكْفِنِي

O‟ my God! O‟ my Master and Guardian! Please protect me against oppression, failure, betrayal and being fooled.

سَيِّدِي شَرَّ عِبَادِكَ وَ اكْفِ شَرَّ جَمِيعِ عِبَادِكَ وَ انْشُرْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْخَيْرَاتِ مِنِّي حَتَّى تُنْزِلَ عَلَيَّ فِي الْآخِرِينَ

O‟ my Master! Please take care of the evils of Your creatures for me. Please take care of the evils of all Your creatures for me. Please grant them blessings from me until it is sent to me in the latest generations.

وَ اذْكُرْ وَالِدَيَّ وَ جَمِيعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ وَ مَغْفِرَتِكَ ذِكْرَى سَيِّدٍ قَرِيبٍ لِعَبِيدٍ وَ إِمَاءٍ فَارَقُوا الْأَحِبَّاءَ وَ خَرِسُوا عَنِ النَّجْوَى وَ صَمُّوا عَنِ النِّدَاءِ وَ حَلُّوا أَطْبَاقَ الثَّرَى وَ تُمَزِّقُهُمُ الْبِلَى

Remember my parents and all the believing men and women with Your Mercy and Forgiveness like a master does for his servants and maids who have been separated from their friends, cannot hear or whisper, and with residence between the layers of the earth; whom calamities have torn into pieces.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ أَوْجَبْتَ لِوَالِدَيَّ عَلَيَّ حَقّاً وَ قَدْ أَدَّيْتُهُ بِالاسْتِغْفَارِ لَهُمَا إِلَيْكَ إِذْ لَا قُدْرَةَ لِي عَلَى قَضَائِهِ إِلَّا مِنْ جِهَتِكَ وَ فَرَضْتَ لَهُمَا فِي دُعَائِي فَرْضاً قَدْ أَوْفَدْتُهُ عَلَيْكَ

O‟ my God! Indeed You have established a right for my parents incumbent upon me that I fulfilled by asking You for forgiveness for them. I cannot fulfill this right except through You. And You made it obligatory to pray for them and I prayed for them to You.

إِذْ حَلَّتْ بِيَ الْقُدْرَةُ عَلَى وَاجِبِهَا وَ أَنْتَ تَقْدِرُ وَ كُنْتُ لَا أَمْلِكُ وَ أَنْتَ تَمْلِكُ

I only have the power to do that much, but You have Power. I have no authority but You do!

اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَحْلُلْ فِيمَا أَوْجَبْتَ وَ لَا تُسَلِّمْنِي فِيمَا فَرَضْتَ

O‟ my God! Do not punish me for what You made incumbent on me, and do not turn me over to others in what You made incumbent.

وَ أَشْرِكْنِي فِي كُلِّ صَالِحِ دُعَاءٍ أَجَبْتَهُ وَ أَشْرِكْ فِي صَالِحِ دُعَائِي جَمِيعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ إِلَّا مَنْ عَادَى أَوْلِيَاءَكَ وَ حَارَبَ أَصْفِيَاءَكَ وَ أَعْقَبَ بِسُوءِ الْخِلَافَةِ أَنْبِيَاءَكَ وَ مَاتَ عَلَى ضَلَالَتِهِ وَ انْطَوَى فِي غَوَايَتِهِ

Let me have a share of all good prayers, and let all the believing men and women have a share of my prayers except for those who opposed Your Friends and fought with Your Chosen Ones. They wrongfully took charge of the affairs after Your Prophets (as), died in their state of deviation and were entrapped in their own loss.

فَإِنِّي أَبْرَأُ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ دُعَاءٍ لَهُمْ أَنْتَ الْقَائِمُ‌ عَلى‌ كُلِّ نَفْسٍ بِما كَسَبَتْ‌ غَفَّارٌ لِلصَّغَائِرِ وَ الْمُوبِقُ بِالْكَبَائِرِ بِ لا إِلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

I disown from praying for them to You. You hold everyone responsible for what they earn! You forgive minor sins and destroy major sins by There is no God but You.

سُبْحانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ‌ فَانْشُرْ عَلَيَّ رَأْفَتَكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ كَثِيراً.

‟ Glory be to You! I am amongst the oppressors! Please cover me with Your Kindness – O‟ the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. And may God bestow blessings on the Prophet Muhammad and his Progeny (as) and greet them many times.‟
